If you have been through the 8-4-4 system, congratulations, you have been to hell, survived and made your way through it.

I do not have fond memories of the school system, especially high school; it was so damn hard and exhausting.

And waiting for the K.C.S. E results was really grueling and many students were jittery while awaiting their results last week and one of those who awaited their results was Christine Otieno who scored a Daudi na Msalaba, D+.

Unlike Willy Paul whose results we have never known for sure, the Gospel artiste announced her results to all and sundry and told Pulse that “Though I had hopes of scoring a C+ and above, I am nonetheless grateful. The knowledge acquired in the process will go a long way in helping me run my business and is a stepping stone towards undertaking a business management course that I had wanted but could not due to lack of a form four certificate.”

Wow, you have got to admire her sunny deposition.

Sizzling TV host, Grace Msalame, penned a moving tribute to the wife of Nairobi Governor, Dr. Evans Kidero. The eye candy was moved by the great work Mrs Kidero is doing.

What the sparking Grace Musalame did will certainly impress Dr. Kidero. The way she eulogised Dr.Susan Mboya-Kidero (Kidero’s wife) is totally impressive.

Grace went full blast with her tribute describing how she was inspired by Dr. Susan Mboya. The former is the daughter of a once powerful politician, Tom Mboya.

Dr. Susan has touched Grace because of her selflessness. She has picked up the Airlift Africa project (which organised for scholarship for bright needy students to pursue their education in USA) from her father to continue in the same spirit under the umbrella of her own organization dubbed Zawadi Africa Foundation.

Grace revealed she would be meeting some of the girls who have benefited from Dr. Susan’s programme in a few weeks’ time.

‘12 Years a Slave’ is the movie that landed Lupita Nyong’o her first Oscar and subsequently a spot in Hollywood’s A list.

But her Oscar win was a collaborative effort. Lupita brought the talent but she did it with the help of professionals such as a director, script writer and costume designer. For her character Patsey to come to life, she needed the right kind of clothes, clothes that represented the struggle of a slave, the look of a slave and at the same time we could tell what era the slave worked from their mode of dressing.

The woman behind the magic that was the outfits of the Oscar Worthy movie was Patricia Norris whose work garnered her, her 6th Oscar nomination alongside Lupita Nyong’o and Chiwetel Ejiofor.

The prolific designer recently passed away at the ripe old age of 83 and Lupita took to Instagram to mourn her death. She shared the photo below with the following caption:

Carol on the other hand is married. She’s attractive although a little heavier than she was on her wedding day – a painful fact that her husband, David, often reminds her of. Last week, a youthful Margret Njeri succumbed to her head injuries at Panday Hospital’s ICU in Mombasa after sustaining head injuries following a run in with the cops.

According to various media outlets, Njeri was on a boda boda in Mpeketoni when a cop threw a gun at the boda boda operator in a bid to stop him; it missed the operator, striking her on the head. Subsequent to getting hit on the head, Njeri fell to the ground and got a fractured skull.

She was admitted to the hospital on 17^th January but passed away on 2^nd March. Her family who was understandably distraught over the tragic incident has vowed that Njeri will not be buried till justice is served

This morning the family of the late 22 year old received a bit of reprieve from their heartache after Kameme F.M listeners who are known to be very generous donated 2.5 Million Shillings toward her burial and Hospital bill which had reached a staggering 2.5 Million.

I thank God for Kameme Family.This morning they raised over Kshs 2.8m to pay forMargaret Njeri’s hospital bill and funeral expenses.Njeri was hit on the head by a police officer and incurred a bill of Kshs 2.5million at Pandya Memorial Hospital in Msa.She later died.At the centre is Njeri’s mother and on my extreme left is Ndung’u Nyoro who pushed the campaign on facebook..God bless you all.

I picked out one name, and decided to run it and see how many Safaricom contests they had won. I realized that these people do not win Safaricom contests only! They have won in all contests run by brands in Kenya! Take a look for yourself…

The YOLO show on KTN is a fast rising teens show that aims at, apart from educating, entertaining the youths and giving them a platform to showcase their talent among other things.

The less than one-year old show is a common one among many young boys and girls and behind its success is none other than host Lola Hannigan, her co-host Thierry and many other crew members.

The TV siren has spoken about the show, its motivation and its objective ever since it first premiered on KTN several months ago.

Lola Hannigan says that the show is aimed at educating young boys and girls on pertinent issues that affect them directly.

The show also aims at giving them a platform to express themselves and above all, it opens their eyes and entertains them to the fullest.

She says that many people have come to love the show very much because it nurtures teens and exposes them to different things that they would not know.

He sure knows how to steal the glamour. Over the weekend, Nairobi Senator, Mike Mbuvi Sonko, was at it again; he was the man of the moment during the first lady’s Beyond Zero Marathon.

Sonko and his gorgeous ladies from his rescue team stormed Nyayo stadium in style. As usual, the flamboyant Senator had to be unique from all other participants who took part in the charity marathon.

Instead of wearing the purple t-shirt which everyone wore, Sonko’s troop was garbed in their red distinctive t-shirts. The legislator himself wore a black pimped t-shirt. He made his way to the stadium sandwiched between two alluring ladies who stood out from from the group accompanying him.

Apart from the beautiful ladies, Sonko also had Gordon Murray’s T25 city cars from his Rescue team that dotted the roads following the Senator as he took part in the marathon.
