What Magic Is Avril Using?

For the third week in a row, Avril and Ommy Dimpoz, “Hello Baby” continues to be a fans favorite, the song that had erstwhile received criticism from a section of the fans as being sonorous and annoyingly repetitive. The song has held on, like a fly that refuses to be thwarted by lame attempts to nail it with a whisk!  Kenyans and East Africans love the song, that ensures its continued airplay. Close at heel but  still stagnating for the third week is a song by H_art the band, Nikikutazama.

CABU GAH DIARIES: Uhuru Kenyatta Is Going Crazy About His Wife….Well,Here Are The 10 Obama-Michelle Photos That Inspired Uhuru To Be That Romantic. In Public.

Every time Mama Jubilee completes those now-famous races of hers,Her hubby-the President-is usually always at the Finish Line…Ready to hug Bae. And he does it so passionately,so romantically, so sensually, so publicly. He leaves the nation swooning…. And talking…

Last year, after Mama Margaret Kenyatta finished the inaugural BEYOND ZERO RACE, Uhuru Kenyatta, the hopeless romantic, gave his wife such a public, elaborate hug that he was immediately embroiled in stupid a media controversy that was instigated by conservative folks who felt that it was “Unafrican” for a man as vaunted as Uhuru Kenyatta to display so much emotion and romance in PUBLIC.

Hugging your wife, these conservative geezers argued, should only be done in the confines of the bedroom. Not in public in the ‘shameful’ way in which Uhuru Kenyatta did to Margaret.

Well,as expected,Uhuru was unfazed….And,clearly, going by what happened yesterday, yet again,Uhuru proved to these conventional denigrators that his romantic fire will never-and can never-be fizzled out.

Yesterday, yet again,Uhuru Kenyatta enclasped his lovely wife in those very iconic hugs, held her face in his palms and, very romantically, gazed into her eyes..And,for a moment, the First Couple seemed to be lost in a World of their own..a reverie….From which they drew endless pleasures…

We watched in glee…as the photographers clicked away the precious moments…

But before Uhuru Kenyatta was wowing us with his romantic side, one other ‘Kenyan’ President had done so,too. Countless times.

Barack H. Obama. The Most Romantic President the World has seen…yet.

I have a feeling Uhuru Kenyatta, who came into power years after Obama did,has not only borrowed his leadership style, swagger, public relations and media-savvy adeptness form Barack Obama,Uhuru has also borrowed one more thing from Obam; How to be romantic in public.

Here are the 10 Obama-Michelle public romance photos that MUST have inspired Uhuru to show some love to wifey too…in public…

1.

At the 2013 Inaugural Ball Party at The White House,in Washington,D.C…Obama not only bows to his super gorgeous Mama…He also holds her sexy body tight…And,together, they blow The World away in that sweeeet sweeeet dance…..Man,look at Michelle’s dress…Just look at it!

2.

Obama very sweetly blows a kiss at his wife after reading the 2015 State Of The Union Address in Washington…Right infront of all of America;s lawmakers. Adorable.

3.

After addressing a campaign rally in Iowa,Obama turns to his wife and,as usual, shows the World why he fell in love with this sweet Angel in the first place. Beautiful.

4.

Even in the corridors of the Hallowed White House,Baba Malia still reminds Mama Malia just how much he loves her. And just how beautiful she truly is….

5.

After yet another campaign rally,Obama turns to his bae…And showers her with nothing but unadulterated love. Su-weeeeeeet.

6.

After delivering the 2012 DNC Convention speech,in Charlotte,North Carolina,Michelle hugs her Babe from behind…And clasps him so tightly,so sweetly, they look like a teenage High School couple. Absolutely adorable.

7.

2012 was the Year of Love….for these powerful lovebirds….

8.

Awwwwwww…..Kisses…Kisses…Kisses

9.

This Twitter pic went viral. Super viral. Boom!

10.

After being shown on the famous Kiss-Cam at a Basketball game in Washington,Obama and his wife are shocked at first…But then again, end up deep kissing as it the tradition in America’s Basketball games. Notice their daughter,Sasha clapping after the kiss…

Well,Uhuru must have borrowed priceless lessons on PDA from this All-Powerful Couple….No?? I doubt so.

You Will Be Stunned To Know Which Kenyan Artist Will Be Performing Alongside Revered American Rapper Ace Hood (Photos)

Apart from our celebrated athletes, Lupita Nyong’o and Barack Obama (to a small or large extent, depends with how you see it) who are making the country’s name famous on the global scene, Kenyan rapper, King Kanja, is also struggling to fly the nation’s flag high on the international music arena.

Just a couple of weeks ago, the Kenyan international artist in the diaspora was rubbing shoulders with the iconic Hollywood actor, Will Smith.

‘Wicked’ Nigerian Actress Mama G Is Coming To Kenya

Wickedness has a face in Nigerian Film and that face is usually Patience Ozokwo’s .

The talented actress has a rare knack to pull off wickedness and attract love, hatred, thistles and applause at the same time from her audience.

Her brilliance has been executed in various films where she has been given roles to play as either a depraved mother or an evil mother-in-law. The actress boasts over 100 movies in her career, a fete that only few can dream of.

President Uhuru Heartbreaks 9-Year Old Acrobatic Girl, Prompting Her To Pen An Emotional Letter To Him…This Is What The President Failed To Honour

Late last year after Jamhuri Day celebrations, one young girl, Baby Wendy, stunned the country with her skills in acrobatics, prompting President Uhuru Kenyatta to invite her to State House for more performances in the presence of dignitaries from other countries.

After the performance, President Uhuru seemed to have promised the youngster something that it is now turning out that he has failed to honour.

Four months down the line, Baby Wendy is still waiting for the fulfillment of the promises the President, First Lady and other dignitaries made.

Ghafla Kenya wrote an article (read here) about the visit and among those who promised her heaven on earth was Rwanda’s Paul Kagame who invited her to Rwanda for a performance.

Baby Wendy has now penned an emotional letter to President Uhuru, reminding him of the promises and how they have given her sleepless nights because she is eagerly waiting for the day they will be honoured.

Baby Wendy says that she has made efforts to reach the President through officials channels but she has been frustrated in the process.

And now she feels this letter will reach the President early enough to remind him in case he has forgotten:

“Hey Mr President, hope you are doing good,am also doing fine, this is “baby wendy”,its exactly 3 and a half months since we met in Statehouse Nairobi on Jamhuri day.

Laura Oyier Denies Bleaching Herself. Gives A Crazy Reason For The Shocking Change

Love her or hate her, we can all admit that Laura is sleeker than your average .

After she surfaced on the limelight subsequent to accumulating a bill of 230,000 Kshs at The Intercontinental Hotel, many expected her to sink back ,run and hide, but Laura is standing tall. Riding this wave of fame like a pro surfer.

The burgeoning musician true identity has come into question after a photo of her surfaced on social media and she looked about 50 shaded darker than she currently is. When she showed up on the trend last Friday, Larry asked her to address the rumors that she had pulled a Vera Sidika.

Laura_Oyirr_b4_and_after.jpg

She rubbished the claim, terming it as bullshit. Before explaining the reason for her darker appearance. This was her explanation” Oh no I was in Dubai and it’s really hot and I was out under the sun, on the beach and everything. Black people tan too you know”

Black people do turn alright, but the difference in her appearance is too crazy to be a tan!

The well concealed individual descended on the socialite’s behind with his itching hands viciously clasping it with his claws-like fingers. Huddah was all smiley as her tiny booty perfectly fitted in the lucky dude’s palm.

Caroline Mutoko Bails Out Laura Oyier And Offers Her A Job After The Intercontinental Hotel Fiasco

When she was taken to court for failing to pay her Intercontinental Hotel bills amounting to close to Kshs.300,000, Laura Oyier stunned the country after a wonderful Valentines with what is alleged to be her boyfriend who deserted her.

In court she still stunned us with her looks, especially those eye brows.

And after being left of the hook with a cash bail, the controversial singer has revealed that it was former Kiss 100 queen Caroline Mutoko who came to her rescue and paid all the money she owed the posh hotel.

Who ever knew Caroline was this kind and generous?

Laura adds that on top of that, Caroline was so moved by her voice and offered to give her a job with one of Radio Africa’s media stations.

lauraLaura Oyier

Laura says that Caroline was impressed that she ordered a voice test done on her to ascertain if she was fit for radio or TV.

Even though Laura admits that she is assured of a job in Radio Africa Group, she says that she is still in the dark over which station she will be based in.

Well, probably the management is trying to create room for her and this puts some employees on toes. Deliver or get replaced by Laura.

Here is what she told Larry Madowo on the Trend on Friday evening:

Nazizi Takes Down Tanzanian Singer, TID, In Dar es Salaam (Photos)

The first lady faced off with former Tanzanian sensation, TID, in the coastal city of Dar es Salaam as they battle each other to prove who had the gusto to thrill revellers.

Nazizi has put TID back on the Kenyan radar! The former East African music heavyweight threw his career in the dumpster after being jailed for a year back in 2008. Since then, the singer has been desperately trying to carve a niche in the industry but so far, his efforts are still fruitless. (Diamond is still on top of his game, there is no way he can topple him now.)

Over the weekend, the ‘Siamini’ hit maker locked horns with the first lady of Kenyan music at club Bilcanas in Dar es salam. The two were representing their respective countries to rock revellers in a gig that gave Top in Dar artist the much needed publicity.

As usual, Nazizi was the undefeated Floyd Mayweather on the mic, there was no way the rusty and worn out TID could have defeated her.

Check out photos of the two veteran East African artists hanging out together below:

This One From STL Is Bound To Shock You!!

I remember acing my Kikuyu classes from way back in 1997, as a no-shoes, tattered shorts  scrawny little boy who had a characteristic hardon for life. My father, a school master then, ravished me with gifts in partial congratulations for my ace performance in vernacular. It was knowledge that would come in  handy in my linguistics class later  in campus. The syllabus has since changed, so has the century, but the knowledge we acquired then lives on,  decades later.

Over the weekend, I chanced upon a status by STL, Stella Mwangi (for those who suck at acronyms) She shared a snippet  of her book that she used in 1997! It was not just an ordinary book, It was a snippet that spoke a thousand words, Stella Mwangi, with all that grace went through what most African kids of the time went through, the tough school days, braving the hot tropical sun at their village home in Murang’a, Mugoiri.

Indeed, like the 13 million  pearl dress wearing, oscar winning, hollywood sensation would say, ‘…there is hope for every dark skinned African child out there, that no matter where you are from, your dreams are valid..’

Here is the snippet:

There held in her hand, under those perfectly manicured fingers, is the book, the little girl who went to school without shoes  can now relax with lasagna or caviar, her gorgeous feet clad in the best loafers that Gucci has to offer.

Uhuru Kenyatta Shows His Romantic Side!! (photos)

It is hard to remember the code of chivalry especially when you are the president and the future of more than 40 million Kenyans depend on the decisions that you make  on a daily basis,. Any wrong move and the population could be annihilated, just like that.

Despite the tasking nature of his job, the president was there to welcome his sweetheart after successful completion of the half marathon. the first lady has been on a campaign that was geared at raising more than half a billion Kenya shillings  to help set up mobile clinics that will greatly reduce the rate of maternal deaths in the country.  The sum has  since been raised.

When the first lady completed her race , she found her tall, brown and probably handsome  prince charming waiting for her.. What happened, my friend George, would describe it as a scene straight from a telemundo..

Look at her in the eyes, it is crucial people… therein, you can see little stars twinkling.. . and in that slow moment of disillusionment, if heavens grant you, you can see love.

And then you’ve gotta hug them.. tight!

Why l Am Running for Beyond Zero.

March 8, 2015 is the First Lady’s Marathon to reduce maternal mortality. 8th March 2008 is the day l got married and this Sunday, my wife and I shall be celebrating our 7th wedding anniversary by joining the First Lady at the ‪#‎BeyondZero‬ marathon.

Taking part in the First Lady’s marathon for me is personal;
On June 2, 2009 we lost our unborn baby and my wife almost died from complications that followed. If I can spare another family the kind of agony my family and I went through from this horrible ordeal by running in this marathon, then I am in no doubt that I must run this race. My wife and I shall also be donating Ksh 100,000 to the First Lady 2015 half marathon.

The second reason I will be running in the First Lady’s marathon is that we need to support Margaret Kenyatta who has chosen to take up maternal mortality and literally, run with it. The 8th March race targets to raise Ksh 600million for the ‘Beyond Zero’ campaign.
Kenya has a maternal mortality rate of 488 deaths per 100,000 live births. The country is off track in achieving the UN Millennium Development Goals by 2015. Kenya had committed to reduce these deaths to 147 per 100,000 live births by this year.

The First Lady partners with the government of Kenya in her Beyond Zero Campaign. The country’s 2014-15-country budget is 1.8 trillion shillings. With a slight adjustment to priorities, it would not be difficult for the government to provide every single cent that she is running to raise. The government has found money to pay Anglo leasing ghosts amounts totaling Ksh1.4 billion; to increase members of parliament’s salaries; to start the construction of the standard gauge railway at a cost of Ksh327 billion.

It doesn’t end there: The government has found the money to give Members of County Assembly over Ksh3 billion for foreign travel. The 418 MPs and Senators have over Ksh9.1 billion at their disposal for travel. It only costs 10 million shilling to have a well-equipped mobile clinic that could save the lives of thousands. We spent 2.135 billion shillings to buy 359 Members of Parliament and 67 senators – who earn about a 1.2 million shillings each a month- a Ksh5 million car each. If we had let them buy their own cars like any other employee does, we would have bought 213 mobile clinics and saved hundreds of women and children’s lives.

Margaret spearheads her campaign as an active citizen. Active citizens aren’t those who complain and whine about a problem but those who take a firm stand. An active citizen (otherwise called an activist) is someone who sees a problem and takes a step to do something about it. I wish we could all follow her example and do more than just threaten or promise to take action.

On Sunday, my family shall join the First Lady Margaret Kenyatta in the marathon. We should all support Margaret to meet her target soon so that she can embark on other Kenya-changing campaigns. After all, she doesn’t just say she will run, she actually runs. While others threaten to take action and post ‪#‎hashtags‬ and selfies, she is busy doing her best to reduce maternal mortality.
I celebrate First Lady Margaret Kenyatta! Happy International Women’s Day.

We know Boniface Mwangi as a spirited, unrelenting activist, but under the tough exterior, he has a soft spot.

He joins a large number of Kenyans tomorrow for the First Lady’s Marathon and he gives his reasons for participating in this worthy cause:

She stands out to be counted as one of the few teens who have already made a positive impact in the lives of others. But Michelle Wanjiru Kariuki hasn’t achieved what she wants with her Pink Gal Foundation. Not yet!

Just like the 17-year Malala Yousafzai of Pakistan who received the Nobel Peace Prize for risking her live to protect children from slavery, extremism and child labor, Michelle is using her foundation to help vulnerable females.

Having seen the problems faced by fellow teenage girls, the big hearted Michelle decided to start an organization that would improve the lives of girls and women in all aspect of their lives; from education to maternal and child health.

The teen has faced mountain challenges in her quest to make a positive difference in the lives of young girls and women.

She juggles her studies and her work at Pink Gal Foundation which is a very hard task for a 16 year old teen. Even so, Michelle is undeterred in her pursuit of success for both her education and organization.

Her impressive work has been applauded the world over by people from different walks of life. Her foundation spearheads the liberation girls by giving them a voice and that’s her biggest motivation that keeps her going.

Uganda’s Richest Socialite, Zari, To Jet Into The Country To Meet Huddah Monroe. Here Are Details Of Their Planned Meeting

Two of East Africa’s leading socialites, Zari the Boss Lady and Huddah the Boss Chick are planning to kill men when they meet late this month.

Zari, who is also Tanzanian heartthrob’s, Diamond Platnumz’s girlfriend, is the richest socialite in the pearl of Africa.

The Ugandan socialite boasts of having a collection of expensive rides plus a superstar boyfriend who is currently the best musician in East Africa.

Zari and Huddah plan to host a scintillating gig like never seen before at the exquisite Skyluxx Lounge in Westlands on the 21st of March.

Huddah described the planned party as an ‘art of luxury’. Let’s wait and see how it will go.

After Varsity Student Scrabbled Her Fundamentals, Avril Takes Caution While Performing In Kisii

The charming singer made a wise choice during her visit of Kisii County. Avril was a bit cautious this time round while rocking her enthralled fans.

It seems she learnt her lesson the hard way during her gig at Maasai Mara University in Narok. She was carried away by the audiences’ overwhelming acceptance howls that she threw herself at them and the result you all know.

This time round while on a tour of Kisii courtesy of KBC Radio Taifa, the singer took appropriate measures to ensure what transpired in Narok never happened again.

She performed from the safe barricade of a lorry. (The lorry was also stage.) She was well protected from any fan who dared pounce on her.

The new trick worked, there were no reported incidences of crazy fans groping her again! She had nice time entertaining Kisii residents.

Janet Mbugua Twitter Handle Compromised!

The Citizen TV’s news anchor has revealed she has let go her old twitter handle after it was ‘compromised’.

Was Janet hacked? Her case is interesting because she prefers to use the word ‘compromised’ when asked why she stopped using her old twitter handle.

The news anchor’s older handle @JanetMbugua has been dormant for a while now. The last tweet was posted last year on July.

The handle has over 161,000 followers and it’s still accessible though Janet said it’s no longer operational.

She revealed she has opened a new handle, @JanetTheJourney which is the official twitter handle she is currently using.

Janet completely refused to disclose what happened to @JanetMbugua handle when Ghafla! contacted her. She maintains the twitter handle was ‘compromised’.

So just follow her on her new handle, @JanetTheJourney and avoid the old one, it’s no longer associated with her.

These Are The Bootylicious Teachers Causing Havoc On Social Media (Photos)

It’s a known fact; African men love the booty more than a fat kid loves cake.

A nice butt sends the kind of titillating feelings a kid gets when he is given a copious amount of money to spend on all the candy they would want. That explains the havoc these two teachers have caused on social media.

4 Sexy Ladies Eric Omondi Has Publicly Flirted With But Ended Up Being Friendzoned By Them (Photos)

The mischievous Eric Omondi is usually very quick to publicize the ‘relationships’ he has with female celebrities but lacks the same gusto to reveal what transpired later on when his ‘love’ turns sour.

It seems women don’t mind Eric’s company but they feel a bit itchy at the idea of dating him. The comedian is the one male celebrity women voluntary throw themselves at and he gets to do all ‘nasty’ things with them.

They say women love funny men and proving that belief is Eric Omondi. He has publicly kissed, touched and grabbed renowned female celebrities but in the long run, Eric has ended up being friendzoned by these female news makers.

erico3.jpg

Top of the list is Citizen TV’s Jacque Maribe. Eric and Jacque’s relationship seemed to be solid until Jacque and Dennis Itumbi were openly spotted exchanging saliva.

Eric never confirmed he was dating Jacque when he was grilled by KTN’s Sophia Wanuna and the Script on Morning Express show. Guess the dude wasn’t awake from his friendzoned stupor.

erii.jpg

ericoo.jpg

The next culprit is Huddah Monroe. The socialite and Eric have flirted with each other for a while that they were labelled ‘the broke version of Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa’.

Eric did all that any typical team mafisi could do to Huddah given a chance to spend a night with her. He tasted her lips, grind her and the rest was never recorded on camera. Oops! Sorry guys you didn’t get to see that.

Eric and Huddah’s ‘thing’ never lasted for long though. You know Huddah doesn’t like keeping one man plus she is a classy socialite, maintaining her gorgeous look equals cash and…

erib.jpg

Eric also had the privilege of flirting with fashion stylist, Silvia Njoki. The fashion blogger was a bit careful with Eric only offering her chins for Eric to kiss.

Their romantic stunt never stood the taste of time. Eric learnt he was being friendzoned after Silvia came out to publicly deny ever dating the skinny comedian.

{youtube}6O1s4H1FjNI{/youtube}

ert.jpg

err.jpg

Last but not least is Naomi Ng’ang’a. Eric enjoyed a special treat from the actress that raised eyebrows.

The two were seen dressed in pajamas and carelessly curdling each other. Naomi went on to carry eric like a little baby. Nothing transpired out of their ‘romantic’ prank though.

‘Keep Off My Daughters If You Drink And Batter’, Orie Rogo Manduli Tells Men

The fierce Irony Lady says she will never tolerate a drunkard or a hitter to marry any of her daughters after she underwent a similar experience in the hands of the man she loved.

Orie Rogo Manduli has warned drunkards and hitters to keep off her two beautiful ladies because they are not a type to tolerate such people.

Speaking to the Nairobian, the flamboyant former Miss Kenya says that she will herself deal with any man who marries her daughter and batters her and also drinks.

Orie says that she would love the possible suitors to emulate the Ghanaian husband to her first born daughter who she says is a man and half.

Elizabeth, the first born daughter, was married early last year to the Ghanaian in a colourful ceremony.

Manduli says that men should not fear seducing her daughters because of her nature and says that if they doubt her they should ask her Ghanaian son-in-law.

She adds that she is the best mother-in-law on earth.

Victoria Rubadiri Narrates How She Was Mistreated As She Grew Up In The US

The NTV siren recalls the difficult times she went through as she grew up in America, with torrents of racial slurs flowing her way because of her skin colour.

Victoria Rubadiri has narrated the difficult times she faced when she lived in America and how she even at some point felt like she should scratch her skin hard to become white.

The TV siren says that people have different perceptions and the Americans had theirs towards black people living there.

Victoria also discussed Kenyan socialites and she seemingly looked disturbed by the idea of being a socialite. She says that she really does not advocate the socialite profession but if it makes one happy then they have the right to practice it.

In an exclusive interview with Ghafla Kenya, the NTV anchor has blasted those who post their nude photos on the internet to attract attention. Victoria thinks it is an unethical behavior that should be abolished.

She adds that Kenyans should stop imitating Americans in the socialite industry.

Here is the whole interview as it went:

Top Kenyan Dj Shares Photos Of Wive’s ” BabyBump! “

It was a well kept secret, for nine months no one had information about Denise and George’s  coming baby. They probably left in their wake a trail of clues but no one really followed the leads untill the Dj himself posted on his Instagram that he and his wife had considered getting a second child. At the point of posting, Denise was 8 months and some days.

George Njuguna, known to many as the Creme De La Creme will be a father in a months time. He is not new to fatherhood, having brought up a son and realising that little boys need little sisters. The couple has not revealed the sex of the child, but judging from the excitement, the child must be a girl.DJ Creme De La Creme Confirms The Rumors That Have Been Making Rounds On The Internet

Yesterday, the dj shared a photo of his wife sporting a baby bump and added the caption “Beautiful day in the Wild .. The Circle’s about to get Bigger:) #Number2”
