Today marks a very special day in the life of Citizen TV’s Jacque Maribe. As such, the political reporter inked a letter to express her gratitude.

Exactly a year down the memory lane, Jacque received the fruit of her womb. Her son, Zahari, whom she sugarcoats with palatable words such as ‘love of my life’, came into being.

The excited Jacque took to the social media to pen her appreciation. Below is a photo of the Citizen TV reporter with her son plus the letter she wrote:

One year ago today, I got the greatest gift and blessing that changed everything about me. One year ago today, you came into this world and cried kidogo, then started smiling, I remember mum saying how much you kept smiling after you were born. One year down the line, and I sometimes still can’t believe you’re mine, flesh of my flesh, fruit of my womb, my son, love of my life, laugh of my life, aki you love to laugh my munchkin, you made me a better person, you give me drive for life, you keep me sane, you are my truest treasure.

A popular radio presenter is nursing bruises and other injuries inflicted on his face and other parts of the body by his wife of two months after she trapped him pants down dancing on their house girl in the evening hours.

The presenter had had one of his finest shows on radio early on in the day and knowing that his wife was away at work and had even called him to say she would be late because she was attending a chama meeting, he rushed home to share the forbidden fruit with the house girl he is alleged to have developed a soft spot for lately.

Unknowingly, the wife who had gotten wind of their ill-fated affair had set a trap to pin him down and give him a beating that left neighbours peeping from the perimeter wall.

And as the man got home, his ‘side chic’ (house girl) warmly welcomed him, assumed the duties of his wife and treated him with the best reception a happily married man receives from his wife when he arrives home from an overseas trip.

After exchanging saliva and a bit of fondling and cuddling, the radio personality was all over the house girl, promising her how she would topple his wife and get what she wants if she continued to treat him like she did.

The wife who had colluded with a neighbor to pin down the man unceremoniously arrived in the compound, jumped out of her car and rushed to the bedroom where she caught the two in a compromising situation.

She landed on her man with deadly kungfu kicks and blows, screaming with wrath and rage as the house girl slipped away with her underwear in her hands.

The radio personality suffered bad bruises on his face as a close friend who got wind of what was happening rushed to his place to rescue him.

Close sources reveal how the man begged his wife and friends not to reveal the ordeal to the public as this would jeopardize his otherwise jaw-dropping show on radio.

 

 

Oscar winning and Kenya’s most celebrated thespian Lupita Nyong’o has been hitting headlines with news after another.

After pitching tent in Uganda to shoot a movie that will be premiering soon, the actress, who gained international recognition thanks to her role in the film 12 Years a Slave, made headlines today yet again with a wonderful dress that got tongues wagging across the globe.

And now the actress has once again caused an upheaval on the social media with a ring that has attracted much attention across the planet.

Lupita’s is a diamond-coated emerald ring that she has joyfully flaunted leaving fans and admirers salivating and wanting to have a touch of it.

On January 19 2014, one of Africa’s leading literary figures Binyavanga Wainaina quietly came out of the closet. The bold move was done inform of an essay titled “I am a homosexual, mum”

To say this move was gallant and ground-breaking would not fully capture just how brave and important this was and how coming out of the closet as a man of his caliber and the impact his coming out had on society.

To come out of the closet in a country that is very homophobic and traditional risked being rejected his family, the writing community and ostracized by the community or worse persecute. But him coming out of the closet made it okay for others who had been in the closet to come out.

The Citizen recently named him one of the top gays in Kenya and he had a hilarious response to it:

The older but not very old generation first came across Pierra Makena as Jean Joyce back when Tahidi High was starting out.

News that veteran journalist Jeff Koinange is a wanted man after the court gave a warrant of arrest littered the air yesterday, with many of his followers not sure what was exactly happening.

Jeff Koinange himself confirmed that the warrant to have him and Tonny Gachoka arrested had been issued after they failed to respect a court order.

Kenyans took to the social media to react to the news, with many tweeting Jeff and showing their support for the much travelled journalist.

One particular fan seemed more concerned when he requested Jeff to tweet back if he had reached home safely. Clearly, he feared that the veteran journalist and host to Jeff Koinange Live on KTN might have been arrested on his way home.

Kenyan football is terribly in trouble after financial woes hit clubs recently. The biggest victim is AFC Leopards who rely on well wishers to travel to different match venues to play.

The latest incident, a clear indication of embezzlement of funds that has scared away sponsors, is when AFC leopards players were detained in a Mombasa Hotel for failing to pay bills.

After their match with Bandari FC in which they won 2-1, the players pitched camp in Jambo Village Hotel in Changamwe but could not pay bills that accumulated to KES 170,000.

The hotel detained them and it required the intervention of former premier Raila Odinga and Mombasa governor Hassan Joho who donated 100,000 each to clear the bills before the players could be released.

AFC Chairman George Aladwa confirmed the detention and said that they had run out of funds to pay the bills and were planning to do so on Tuesday.

Larry Madowo’s  flamboyant spirit and going a bit wild and liberated in the way he conducts  interviews has definitely revolutionalised television .

Interviews are no longer a stiff, hoity-toity and unbearable affair, they are more loosey-goosey and more watchable .

Nairobians and the country at large yesterday woke up to flash floods engulfing most of the parts in the city, with property worth millions destroyed and power supply to many homes cut.

It was a response from Mother Nature for the atrocities Nairobians are committing on land: grabbing, building on wet lands and poor garbage dumping just to name a few.

Many are laying blame on the county government for poor drainage but it could be prudent to take first responsibility for the floods that filled homes and parking lots, submerging cars and property of great value.

Well, today it seems Mother Nature is lenient to all of us. Not much has been reported about the rains and their effects.

And this is expected to continue until the 18^th of this month when hell will once again break lose.

Nairobi County boss Dr Evans Kidero has revealed that for the next four-five days Nairobians will have a break from the heavy rains but should be prepared for anything come the 18^th of this month.

According to Kidero, the meteorological department has indicated that rains will increase come the 18^th and Nairobians once again should brace themselves for difficulties.

Meanwhile, Kidero promises that his government is doing all it can to avert any problems that the rains might cause.

Here is his statement:

 

The heavy rainfall that pounded Nairobi on the 11th -12th May is by far the highest received since the 1997 El Nino rains. This is very intense rainfall indeed.

The intense rainfall resulted in flash floods, destruction of property, loss of life and heavy traffic jams in Nairobi County.

The County government is liaising closely with the Met. Department and this is the forecast for the next five days (14th to 18th May 2015) which indicates a general reduction in the rainfall over Nairobi. Any rainfall to be received is expected to be less than 15mm in 24 hours. The period will be characterized by sunny intervals in the morning and light to moderate showers over few places in the afternoon to evening.

However, a slight increase in the rainfall is likely to occur on the last day of the forecast period (18th May) when some stations may record about 10 to 15mm.

Kenya is a religious nation…But to put it more correctly,Kenya pretends to be a religious nation. I mean,we are governed by greedy,godless hounds who will waste no time in fleecing us silly and grabbing the meagrest of land parcels anywhere and everywhere.

Even our churches-the institution that opposes gay rights the strongest-are full of irreligious,amorous mongrels who ride roughshod over the weak flock under their satanic jurisdictions. Most of these churches are run by immoral scoundrels whose service to Satan reigns over what they pretend to do for God.

And these same thugs have no shame in calling press conferences to pontificate on matters righteousness when they truly are the epitome of wickedness. And the model candidates for eternal extermination.

Africa,we must agree,is a rather reserved society that would rather engage in the vilest of wicked pursuits and NOT talk about it. Or publicly endorse it.

There are millions of millions of homosexuals in Africa…who’ve been there,will be there and will continue to be there. Whether we address their plight or not. Or respect their rights or not.

I strongly feel that gay people-who are indeed a minority-must have their rights respected and their cry addressed. Bashing and rebuking humans on the basis of their bedroom fetish is not only stupid but also criminal. Absolutely.

And please don’t even get me roped into that lame “This is UnAfrican” argument that these moral crooks always tend to bring up in order to mask their unwarranted hate and illogical ostracism.

Nothing,really,is African. Except the senseless bloodletting,murders,cannibalism,witchcraft,corruption,mismanagement,plunder,evil spells and greed that we Africans are so proudly famous for.

Corrupt leaders who swindle billions from the public coffers,grab acres upon acres of land from the weak and poor,lie through their dirty teeth for years on end,consult endless witchdoctors in order to win elections and oversee the murder of thousands for political sustainability have NO BUSINESS telling You what’s godly or not. What’s righteous or not. And what’s morally acceptable or not. PERIOD.

Gays must be allowed to exist. And live. And be. I Support them. 100%. Who I’m I to deny their existence? They were present in 13AD in Persia where there were gay houses which catered for their kind. In Greece middle aged men were encouraged to cohabit with relatively young boys all in an aim to regulate populations. Even some of the greatest minds the world has ever witnessed like that of Leornado Davinci were that of homosexuals. So yes, who are you to rebuke them? Plus in a world full of facists, zionists and racists, there are bigger problems at hand.

Kenyan Churches are but mere cacophony halls led by self-exalting religious pariahs whose core business is to milk the poor,distort the Word,manufacture ‘miracles’ and engage in dead-end canal pursuits under the pretext of serving God.

And these same people,these same thugs who arm-twist the despondent and prey on their own flock’s wives are the same people sitting up,putting up a religious facade and talking us down on what is righteous or not.

The African Church,by large,is really not the institution that offers the Christ-like hope and Spiritual edification that is espoused in the Bible but rather a conglomerate of thirsty,business-savvy charlatans whose charisma and flamboyance bamboozles the foolish and the weak.

Homosexuals are innocent mortals who carry out their preferred trade in the confines of their rainbow-colored bedrooms-In most cases-and how such people are now becoming a threat to society totally baffles me.

These are young men and women who’ve made a conscious choice to pick who they prefer to expend their sexual thrill with and,really,the last thing we should be worrying about is such a lot. Such a harmless lot.

The REAL threat to the Kenyan society is NOT the two men holding hands down the street or the two women cavorting by the beach BUT the High-profile politicos who plunder,steal,embezzle and engineer assassinations at will.

The REAL threat to the Kenyan society is these powerful political thugs who will sit in dark boardrooms all day planning on how they can discreetly siphon billions of hard-earned taxpayers money to their bloated overseas accounts…By exaggerating figures and cutting under-the-counter deals to launch ghost projects.

But NO ONE calls a press conference to condemn and slur these thugs. No one calls them out and no one takes time to draft bills on how to deal with national thugs and international murderers.

But we are busy planning on the BEST way to discipline and punish some bunch of adults who’ve chosen to kiss and cuddle WHO they wish to. And it’s mutual. And consensual.

BULLSHIT!

The Kenyan Church has been on the spot for years now…For going to bed with these politicians,for picking sides during our very volatile election periods,for tribal bigotry and for plunder of Church funds and surely,such a bunch of wicked souls should be THE LAST to preach us down and decide for us what is moral. And what isn’t.

And when they are NOT sleeping with the young nymphomaniacs in the disjointed Church choir,they are busy sleeping with other Church men’s wives and starting TV programs exclusively to fleece the poor and coaching people to claim healing and,even worse,fondling women’s breasts on TV and feeling buoyant about it afterwards.

And these are the same reprobates who are now shouting the loudest,cursing gay people and quoting the Bible expeditiously.

Probably the biggest wedding of the year is bound to go down soon and it’s none others but TV’s sensation Janet Mbugua. Sorry gentlemen, in a span of two weeks she will be gone and gone forever.

The wedding is scheduled to go down on the 30^th of this month at the invigorating Chaka Ranch along Nanyuki which has since become the celebrity hub in an exclusive only invite event which has seen our very own Cabu Gah receive an invitation.

In the midst of the great preparations however, something equally enthralling happened at the Ranch, it was invaded by the British Army. 26 members of the British Army helicopter Unit based in Nanyuki decided to visit the ranch and sample what it has to offer. To ensure that it was safe for Janet Mbugua and her entourage? I don’t know.

What I do know however is that they had a fun filled day at the Ranch enjoying off-road quad bikes, buggy tours and delicious nyama choma which Chaka Ranch has become famous for. They also sampled the Attacker Buggy Time Trial (TT) racing which saw its introduction at the ranch that very day.

The soldiers took turns to drive flat out like rally drivers on the 2KM track which is exciting and adrenaline pumping considering it’s pretty much wet and muddy in some sections.

Testosterone, 1500 cc turbo engines roaring away and wild cheers made the highlight of that afternoon and I can’t help but wonder whether the same kind of fun will be synonymous with Janet Mbugua’s wedding.

 

 

Veteran journalist Jeff Koinange is a man under siege after a court in Nairobi issued a warrant of arrest against KTN’s JKL Show host for contempt of court.

The warrant was issued yesterday against Jeff and Tony Gachoka after they ignored a court order and went ahead to discuss a controversial topic on his show.

Jeff has since denied being served with the court order and says that he is ready for anything.

But guess who has offered to defend Jeff in court? Well, this is a man you never expected.

Miguna Miguna is the man.

Speaking on the JKL show last night, the controversial lawyer told Jeff that he is ready to defend him against any prosecution because it seems the case against him is baseless.

Jeff was literally thrilled by the offer and added that he has no case to answer and it seems he is waiting for the arrest to be made.

Now, there is this couple whose wedding proposal has caught the internet by storm because the boyfriend proposed during a tandem skydive over the beach and engraved on the sand were the words  “Marry me Khal ”

So fret not, step up and walk outside, the sun is high up in the sky. Work hard that your kids shall have such treatment in the next floods. Meanwhile we can all go back to the social media banter that won’t help anything anyway.

The king of Kenyan Talk Show is now wanted by the police, Jeff Koinange could be a guest of the state if the warrant of arrest issued against him is anything to go by.

A Nairobi court yesterday issued a warrant of arrest against Jeff Koinange and businessman Tony Gachoka for contempt of court.

Jeff failed to appear in court to answer charges of discussing the conduct of a company in the media despite a court order barring him.

The plaintiff argues that Jeff and Tony discussed defamatory statements on Jeff Koinange Live that caused their company, Kwacha Group of Companies Limited, massive losses.

Businessmen, Sani Mbui Wanjigi and Jimi Wanjigi, had obtained orders on March 20 barring Jeff Koinange, KTN and the Standard Media Group from broadcasting or publishing alleged defamatory statements concerning them and the company.

The lawyer to the two businessmen wants the company paid a total of Sh60 million as compensation for defamation.

Jeff is yet to comment on the warrant of arrest issued against him. Keep it Ghafla! we will update you as events continues unfolding.

He made headlines with his book Peeling Back the Mask and then Kidneys for the King. Miguna Miguna is a household name in Kenya today and his controversial sentiments have always seen him garner hatred and liking in equal measure in Kenya.

The controversial lawyer who pitches camp in Canada returned last night on the JKL Show on KTN to haunt Kenyan journalists.

Miguna roasted the Kenyan fourth estate for failing to live to the required standards of journalism.

He lamented that apart from KTN’s John Allan Namu, Mohammed Ali and Dennis Onsarigo, there are no other investigative journalists in the country who can expose the rot in the government.

Miguna did not even recognize efforts made by the likes of NTV’s Dennis Okario and K24’s Purity Mwambia who work as investigative journalists for their respective media houses.

We all know that public hospitals are a mess, and their mortuaries are even worse.

Recently, I went for a Burial at Busia and the mourners really condemned the mishandling of bodies at Busia County Mortuary where the deceased’s body became damaged due to how badly the body was handled by the morgue attendants.

When it comes to Kenyatta National hospital you would expect that it would at least be better, I mean,  its the biggest public  hospital in Kenya, the state shoudl be better right?Well sadly no, as one F.M’s News anchor posted.
