Kenyans on Twitter famously abbreviated as KOT are known to ferociously roast whoever crosses their path the wrong way. Ask CNN, Ugandans and anybody who has provoked them in one way or the other and they will tell you they are unforgiving when it comes to telling off someone.

Perhaps Rwanda’s Paul Kagame had not seen this or had not had an encounter with any of KOT until today when he decided to provoke an otherwise quiet and peaceful KOT.

It all started with a very rude response from the Rwandese leader to one of Kenyans on twitter who advised him not run for a third term in office so that he could maintain his otherwise impressive legacy.

Kagame is already considering altering the constitution to allow him to run for a third term.

This greatly shocked majority of Kenyans who saw the tweet and effectively coined the hash tag #SomeoneTellKagame, just like there was #SomeoneTellCNN.

The hash tag is already number one on the trend map with massive trolls towards the Rwandese President.

Information that 20 Year old Tahidi High actor Kevin Rost had passed away after a fatal asthma attack was met with grief from fans, friends and family.

His girlfriend also posted this rather touching message that had us grabbing our tissues

“You were more than a husband to me Kelvin. I loved you so much. I feel am so much in pain loosing you in my life while I could still make fun and jokes home with Eddy planning for travelling and many stuff not knowing we will lose you the next day morning. We miss you so much home with Eddy… we lonely.. I feel I just can’t make it… I hope to see you in another world I loved you…. I miss you. When it comes to matters Swahili news, Citizen TV’s Lulu Hassan is the real deal! She has lured many into watching 7PM news.

The humble Lulu is arguably the best Swahili anchor in the country. She has made so many people want to catch up with ‘Nipashe’.

Despite being the best in the game, Lulu still looks up to someone, a fellow anchor, for inspiration and motivation.

Guess who that will be? It’s none other than NTV’s Jamila Mohamed. Yes, Lulu says the NTV anchor is her mentor.

Jamila is also a Swahili anchor who unlike her Lulu likes to maintain a low profile. The lovely lady is married and has two gorgeous daughters.

 

I must applaud Pastor Ng’ang’a for,despite his total lack of proficiency in communication-leave alone English-he agreed to show up for a National TV showdown and clear his name. But really he just incriminated himself even further.

Unlike the downright illiterate Pastor Kanyari,who bailed out on a Larry Madowo ‪#‎TheTrend‬ interview and sent a very pathetic text message to the studio explaining away his absence,Ng’ang’a actually showed up. Smart move. Trouble is,he showed up with his grammar missing. And memory. And education.

One of the MOST controversial and disgustingly wealthy Kenyan preachers showed up on Citizen TV last night to try and clear the air over his obvious involvement in a fatal car crash that,in an attempt to cover it up,he ended up botching it up so bad the DPP had to review the case and call for a fresh investigation.

After Weeks of dramatic obstruction of justice and claims of hefty bribery and massive cover-ups,it was finally determined that controversial ‘Man Of God’ who has just launched an alcohol-selling hotel in Naivasha,was actually the ONE driving the glitzy Red Range Rover that led to the untimely death of one and the serious injury of her husband.

And after two weeks of hiding from the press and issuing haphazard pulpit threats and satanic-even childish-curses and pronouncements,Ng’ang’a appeared on Citizen TV Last Night with Hussein Mohammed (who he constantly called Huseeini).

Hussein was in his best behavior. And brought his A-game to the table. Ng’ang’a… Not so much.

He bungled up the interview,contradicted himself so pathetically,appeared dazed and robotic,swallowed his words so much,massacred the English language so badly and gave such lame answers that you would have been forgiven to equating the interview to a Kindergarten porridge-initiating festival.

At some point,I didn’t even bother with his trashy answers anymore. Or horrible attempts to cover-up the obvious. I gave up on what he was even saying… And viewed the interview much in the way I watch Churchill Show. Or Jameni.

In less than 3 minutes,He reduced himself from some pastor intent on clearing his sullied name to some sort of mindless,school dropout comic. And he excelled. Incredibly.

It was in March this year when Imenti Central MP Gideon Mwiti hit headlines for all the wrong reasons. The legislator had been accused of raping a former journalist in one of his offices in Westlands Nairobi after inviting her for a business meeting.

The MP was accused of colluding with a doctor based in Ngara to conduct a compulsory HIV test to the victim before he allegedly went on to rape her, leaving her with injuries that saw her hospitalized in Nairobi Women’s Hospital.

The case has since dragged on until yesterday when Judge Weldon Korir suspended the case pending hearing of an application by the legislator’s lawyers seeking to bar the Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko from prosecuting him.

According to the MP, evidence against him had been tampered with and he feels he would suffer unjustified trial if the DPP prosecuted him as planned.

The case was supposed to commence on the 19^th of this month but according to the ruling, it has been suspended until the application is heard.

Mwiti could completely be let off the hook in case the judges that Judge Willy Mutunga will appoint to hear the case rule in his favour.

 

 

Kenyans have been calling for the arrest and prosecution of Pastor James Ng’ang’a Maina of Neno Evangelism Church after investigations incriminated him in the murder of one Mercy Njeri through reckless driving along the Nakuru-Nairobi highway three weeks ago.

Initially, police officers from Tigoni Police Station were allegedly colluding with the controversial televangelist to cover up for him after it was reported that it was his car that caused the accident.

But after a team was set up to investigate the matter, it was concluded that indeed it was Pastor Ng’ang’a who was driving the car and killed the lady and injured her husband badly.

And as calls to have the preacher prosecuted intensify, CS Nkaissery has chipped in to give his thought on the controversial man of the cloth.

Speaking to journalists outside his offices yesterday, Nkaissery said that his department had done everything needed and forwarded the file to the Director of public Prosecution Keriako Tobiko to pursue a case against the preacher.

Nkaissery said that he hopes justice is served to the deceased and her family and hopes Ng’ang’a will be prosecuted according to the law.

I can’t believe this controversial man of God is still making headlines. We should be dealing with other issues already. But because this is a very weighty matter, we are bound to talk about it to the bitter end.

Pastor James Ng’ang’a of Neno Evangelism Church along Haile Selassie Avenue for the first time appeared on TV to speak the controversy surrounding him.

We all by now know what has been happening. Mercy Njeri is gone yes, but she deserves justice. And this is the reason why Kenyans are demanding the arrest and prosecution of the televangelist.

Even after police concluded investigations and forwarded their report to DPP Keriako Tobiko to prosecute Pastor for the murder of Mercy Njeri through reckless driving, the man of the cloth appeared on Citizen TV with pure lies and a problem in grammar.

Hussein Mohammed confronted the preacher with hard and direct questions which he dodged one by one, denying that he ever caused the infamous accident and colluded with some security officers to cover up for him.

Pastor Ng’ang’a denied owning the range rover that caused the accident and even went on to say that he was not at the scene of the accident despite accounts from eye witnesses who claimed they saw him in person at alighting from the car that killed Mercy Njeri and injured her husband.

Worse still, Ng’ang’a’s lies embarrassed his articulation of words as he fumbled and stumbled with everything he said. He clearly missed the correct grasp of the queen’s language. But we can’t blame him for that. It is not our language after all. I am sure he would express himself much better if it was Njata TV or a Kikuyu interview.

But why is he adamant that he never caused the accident yet investigations have incriminated him? Why is he denying the car yet even KRA has proved it is his?

Is he gonna escape this? Only time will tell. All eyes are on DPP Tobiko as Kenyans wait with baited breath to have justice served to the late Mercy Njeri.

Jehovah Wanyonyi rose to prominence after he audaciously declared that he “Mr Wanyonyi Chemororoch village in Soy constituency” was the one true God.

He led a sect called “Lost Israelites” ,that constituted of about 2,000 followers who were truly lost if they thought that Wanyonyi was God.

You can imagine their shock when he proved to be just a mere mortal after he succumbed to Malaria. Wanyonyi is said kicked the bucket on his way to a hospital in Kitale.

His death has been met by the strangest yet funniest reactions on Twitter, with Twitter users writing this:

The journey to the top is surely one with many downfalls and disappointments and which many will dread to travel. Ask one Henry Waswa, one of the youngest and promising entrepreneurs we have in the country right now and he’ll tell you that it’s not easy to be rich and successful.

His flashy lifestyle consisting some high end SUV’S, trips to some of the most distinguished destinations in the world and a myriad of bodyguards at only 28 years old has been causing ripples in Western Kenya and we sort out for the entrepreneur to try and seek answers as to how he managed to accumulate such power and wealth at such a tender age.

Well, before we even get down to the nitty gritties, Henry Waswa or Hendrix Waswa as he’s popularly known in Bungoma summarizes his success to 3 things; hard work, persistence and prayer. All of this might seem like a walk in the park but it’s not until you hear his story that you truly come to understand the hustles he has had to endure to make it to the top.

Having come from a poor background, Henry Waswa made it his mission to be successful. He vowed that he would make it no matter the circumstances and no amount of hardship was going to bring him down in his new found quest. I guess we can learn yet another lesson from that, it definitely all starts in the mind.

It all started somewhere in Sirisia, Bungoma County some 7 years ago after Henry Waswa had just finished High School. Life seemed hopeless at the time and Hendrix Waswa sought the help of an old friend who had set up camp in Mombasa. He decided to take a leap of faith and set out to Mombasa a decision he has never regretted up to now.

 There life was also not a walk in the park as Waswa was forced to do all manner of jobs like washing shoes, cleaning cars just to make ends meet. At some point he was even subjected to only eating bread and water but he didn’t give up. He kept on trying and praying at the same time and one day his God came through for him.

Through the same friend who had brought him to Mombasa, he managed to secure a loan and that’s how he started a clothing shop. Henry put his all into it and eventually things started to materialize. The shop named Mary Joseph soon became the most sought after shop in Bamburi and before he could even comprehend everything, another idea had struck him. Another lesson Henry Waswa highlights is the constant urge to not being comfortable, he attests the comfort zone as one of the biggest liability facing many people in this country.

He started a fast food joint because he noticed most of his customers always tended to look for food every time they were done shopping. Again that materialized and it bred an even bigger restaurant, MONTENGENE Sports Bar and Restaurant in Mtwapa.

As they say the rest is history and now Henry Waswa is the true definition of a business mogul having invested millions in Entertainment and Real Estate. Now he spends his time instilling the same kind of discipline in many young people while carrying out other forms of philanthropy. For example Henry took it upon himself to take care and educate quite a number of children in Sirisia where he was born and bred.

He has even taken lots of interest in football, brewing and supporting a myriad of football clubs in Bungoma as he believes in also nurturing talent.

So there you have it, don’t be blinded by the array of sleek cars and bodyguards and forget the sleepless nights and misery it took to acquire them. Take lessons from Waswa and soon you might become the next youngest millionaire this country has to offer. 

When you hear him on radio or see him on TV, you would probably think it is one of those guys who fled Abuja and its environments due to the threats of the terrorist group Boko Haram which has denied the West African region peace and harmony.

Everything he does is Nigerian; how he talks, clads, and almost everything is copied from Nigeria. But he is not. In fact he is Kenyan. He is a Kenyan man who dropped out of college where he was taking a degree in Law to pursue what he loved most: comedy.

That was a very drastic and delicate move my brother!

And you know what happens when you do that in Kenya? Massive backlash from the society. Why would one ditch education for comedy? Why would one overlook a degree in law for comedy and antics, honestly?

This came comedian Dr. Ofweneke’s way when he made this decision. Many discouraged him and told him he couldn’t make it in comedy.

“My journey has been long and tiresome.Many times I felt like giving up,after quiting Law for comedy I still wasnt sure wheather it was the right decision to make in life.Many times i wanted to go back to Law class coz I dint think I wasnt good enough or rather many people made feel like it,” Dr. Ofweneke says.

He then goes on to narrate how defied all odds to become one of the most sought after comedian and MC in the country. Dr. Ofweneke works with Milele FM, Ebru TV, Churchil Show among several other duties.

 

“But deep down a voice told me in a few years guys will celebrate you,many will call you Sir,many lives will be changed thru your story of patience,resilience,hardwork and the desire to make it. I believed and doubted the voice at the same time but 5 years down the line from Vitimbi to Vioja Mahakamani to Kenya Kona Comedy Show, I host a prime time breakfast show on Milele FM ,I host my own tv show on Ebru TV (Niaje Ebru) with another bigger talk show on the pipeline.”

Scandalized Kenyans were all up in arms baying for blood and wielding torches and pitchforks after photos of a scantily dressed high school girl were leaked.

The girl had her dignity callously stripped off and exposed to the whole world when a pervert deemed it fit to leak photos of her private parts to the world. Kenyans demanded that the perpetrators of this odious act be brought to book and exposed.

As they say, you cannot erase a digital footprint and a popular blogger named Wanjohi was the man behind the leak. Wanjohi known to many thanks to his rancid stories and unsavory limericks was exposed by East African Data Handlers as the culprit after the organization carried out a forensic investigation.

Dagitari Wanjohi, used his twitter handle @Wakigogoine to leak the 2 photos of the girl who has come to be known as “bhang-in-underwear girl” .Photos that have been circulated on social media much to the mortification of the poor victim.

East African Data Handlers revealed that the reason they carried out this independent investigation was so as to “aid the law enforcement officers be able to track the original sources of the indecent photos.”

I think the company deserved applause for reigning in the pervert.

President Uhuru Kenyatta and a section of his family are in a 3-day state visit to Uganda, a visit that kicked off two days ago and which has caused a stir on social media already.

As the head of state addressed the Ugandan parliament yesterday, First Lady Margaret Kenyatta was on the hand riding the great L. Victoria and to the Nile  where she got to see the source of the longest River in the world.

River Nile, for those who have forgotten their social studies (call it GHC if you like), is the longest river in the world and empties its contents into the great Mediterranean Sea in Egypt.

The month of August always leave a bad taste in the mouths of many Kenyans and a feeling of dread often engulfs us when August is mentioned.

Yesterday we learnt that Brenda Mulinya and Allan Wanga had lost their loved one and Sudi has lost his wife. Now the acting community is in mourning.

This was after a young man known as Kelvin Muite formerly of Tahidi high succumbed to Asthma at the Mama Lucy Hospital.

What’s happening with men of cloth? It is that they are being targeted by folks who want to tarnish their names or they are just another bunch of crooks stealing in the name of the Lord?

While Kenyans are still grappling with Pastor James Ng’ang’a of the Neno Evangelism Centre, another controversial preacher has popped bearing the same sin.

Bishop Thomas Wahome Njuguna of Helicopter Ministries has been implicated in another scandalous road accident.

The controversial preacher is said to have caused a road accident near Kihuri Village in Othaya, Nyeri County, which resulted to the death of one Godfrey Mwaniki.

Daily Nation reports Bishop Thomas driving a Range Rover registration number KBX 377D knocked down Mr. Mwaniki on a Wednesday evening June the 24^th.

Witnesses say the controversial man of god was speeding when the accident occurred. Police investigated the incident but soon dropped the case at the request of the deceased family.

It’s reported that Mr. Mwaniki decided not to pursue the case after they met the Helicopter bishop.

The man of god has decided to put his bible aside and choose the most appropriate arsenal that scares off his critics.

Pastor James Ng’ang’a of Neno Evangelism Centre has resorted to issuing threats to those still linking him to the road accident that claimed the life of a 43-year-old woman.

The controversial man of cloth was alleged to be behind the wheels when a red Range Roger driven on the wrong side of the road smashed a Toyota killing a woman on the spot.

The pastor has long blamed the media for being on a mission of making sure he goes down for a crime he has relentlessly denied he was involved.

Last Friday while addressing his faithful, Pastor Ng’ang’a decided lose his cool on the scandal surrounding him and went on the offensive.

The man of god claims those baying for his blood shall perish before their time and their children will NEVER get married and if they do they shall never see the fruits of their marriage.

““Those who are talking ill of me, I assure them that they will die before their time. Some of them are young children who are not married yet. They will never get married. Some have not yet given birth, and they won’t.”

All this while the congregants chanted ‘Amen’ uncountable time urging their pastor to go on cursing the ‘devil’ for his witch-hunt.
