Shocking! Gun Shots At Jeff Koinange’s Kitisuru home As Armed Robbers Invade His House

Nairobi CID boss Ireri Kamwende says gun-wielding robbers today morning raided Jeff Koinage’s residence in Kitusuru.

It’s hard to believe robbery also happens in affluent neighborhood like Kitisuru which has round the clock security.

Indeed rich hoods too are not immune to incidences of robbery as it was witnessed today morning at Jeff Koinage’s residence.

Armed robbers early today morning stormed Jeff Koinange’s lavish home in Kitisuru and stole property of unknown value!

The Star reports that armed men shot in the air before they subdued the guard at the gate and forced their way into Jeff’s compound.

The robbers stole an assortment of electronics including Jeff’s computers. The incident happened today morning at 2:30am.

It’s not clear whether Jeff and his family were in the house during the robbery. The talk show king is yet to comment on the incident.

Thieves Will Die Like Flies On Transformers As Kenya Power Does Unimaginable To Curb Transformer Vandalism

Thinking of vandalizing a transformer? Think a million times before you do it as Kenya Power has introduced a measure that will literally shock thieves that have been vandalizing transformers.

Vandals have pushed Kenya Power to introduce a deadly measure which will see thieves ‘fried’ alive if they attempt to vandalize transformers.

Frequent blackouts have been blamed on transformer vandalism and Kenya Power is keen to fix this mess once and for all.

Transformer oil which is the best for frying chips mwituu and copper wires which are easily sold to scrap metal dealers for easy money, are some of the reasons why transformers are frequently vandalized.

Kenya Power has now resorted to securing transformers with live wires. Transformers will now be placed above live wires meaning thieves will have to deal with electric currents that can easily electrocute them to death.

7 Men Who Found Out About The Late Lucy Kibaki’s Fury The Hard Way

The late Lucy Kibaki will be remembered for several things but the most notable would be her iron clad manner when handling those and what she deemed as demeaning her and her family. Most of the time at the end of her fury will be men many who got off with a slap. Here are 7 men who came to find out of her fury the hard way.

  1. Moody Awori

The then VP had every good intention when he decided to have a toast in celebration to the First Lady at a New Year’s State House banquet. Either he had imbibed quite a powerful punch or he had been carried by the excitement of the occasion and he ended up toasting to Lucy Kibaki as the ‘second Lady’. A furious Lucy walked out of the ceremony bringing it to an end and the former VP has since clarified it was a slip of the tongue.

  1. Matere Keriri

Here was one man who was the ultimate professional at his job, however, perceived notions by the late Lucy Kibaki that he was more towards the Wambui camp would first result in a hand shake snub at the airport and the then State House Comptroller would then be kicked out of his job in a short while.

Makhtar Diop

He was then the World Bank country director and he had a party at his home. Given the close proximity to state house, sounds and noise did fly over and an enraged Lucy Kibaki stormed the party with her night clothes to have it stopped. This party events would spill her wraths to other third parties.

Clifford Derrick

Lucy Kibaki got wind that the Nation was writing a story about her storming the Makhtar Diop party. She did not waste time but stormed the building and caused quite a havoc. Clifford Derrick was then a cameraman and present and proceeded to record the whole proceedings. As expected she was enraged by hiss action and slapped him before struggling with him to take away the camera.

State House MC

During Jamhuri day celebrations one state house MC had the misfortune of a massive tongue slip introducing the first lady as Lucy Kibaki Wambui. An enraged lady rose from where she sat and proceeded to slap a major one on the MC. The poor fellow was whisked away quickly and nothing was ever heard from him.

Gitobu Imanyara

His mistake was that of representing the photojournalist slapped by Mama Lucy Kibaki. Lucy never forgot nor forgave that and when Gitobu found himself at State House on a visit, he was given a slap before she demanded he leaves State House

George Saitoti

He earned the then First Lady’s wrath because of doing nothing, at least as she saw it. It was at the height of the Nakumatt Downtown fires and the Molo Oil Tanker fire that claimed about 145 lives. He did not get a slap but received a public dress down from Lucy Kibaki demanding he writes an explanation and gets working. The then Interior Security minister had to go to President Kibaki to seek validation and the matter ended with Kibaki declaring he had full confidence in his minister.

Remember Collins Okello? The Artist who Drew Portraits of Both Uhuru and Obama? He’s Back and What’s He’s Doing Will Definitely Drive Social Media into a Frenzy

Musicians have come, they have seen and it’s pretty obvious they have conquered; okay; At least some of them. Looking at the likes of Sauti Sol, who have come up from nothing to become something and with us showing them immense support, they are now a national treasure.

They can now comfortably afford to buy shoes worth a whooping Ksh 250,000 and cruise around in German cars. But what about our other artists? The ones who use paint and paper to create magical exhibitions which we hang in our house and brag to our friends while sipping some scotch spending hours on end trying to decipher what they mean?

I think they need support to, encouragement and trust me the fence has already being cleared by Villa Rosa Kempinski and all you have to do is join in and from there on the sky will be the limit. You can start off by attending Wasanii Jukwaani which is an annual event whose aim is to create a platform for young upcoming artists to showcase their skill. The artists will spend the week at the Villa Rosa Kempinski, working on the special piece of art. They will be positioned at the guests’ areas, where they will have the opportunity to interact with the hotel guests, as well as lovers of art, and take them through a step –by-step process of how they come up with their unique pieces. Each year, Wasanii Jukwaani, will have a theme towards which a potion of the proceeds will be directed to.

jukwaani.jpg

This year’s theme is ‘Conservation of Elephants”. The artists have however been given a lee-way to create their own-inspired art to allow them to showcase their best. 20% of the proceeds from the auction will be donated to Wild Aid for Elephant Conservation

This form of art requires a very conscious mind, concrete research, daring charm and guts, all which Kiruri is known for.

5 Hilarious Mistakes Team Mafisi Do When They Finally Get Pretty Chick To Visit Them In their Cribs

Every man dreams of that moment when they will get that hot girl to visit them in their house. Ladies do come and some leave without spreading legs thanks to the mistakes hyenas do during that precious visit.

Meet her, vibe her, exchange phone numbers, go for the first date, another date twice or thrice, invite her to your crib then feast on her cookie; the mind of a typical Team Mafisi thinking.

Getting them ladies to visit you in your crib is a challenge itself but making her drop panties requires planning of an astronomical proportion.

Some mafisi will end up fapping after hosting girls they meant to smash just because they prematurely pounced on the prey before they could leap away with lame excuses.

We have sampled some of the blunder Team Mafisi do that make them end up cockblocking themselves.

1. Too horny she can notice it

Men are horny most of the time they are waiting for that knock on the door but the problem comes when the lady notices it.

Some dudes will open the door when they have already pitched a tent, a visible hard-on scares a lady in many ways.

Some hyenas have a raging erection that they can’t even serve the girl juice or any other drink for that matter. They are in a hurry to sink Johnny in vajayjay even before the girl is in the mood.

This uncontrolled thirst will most certainly make the lady sit tight with her legs crossed. You won’t be getting it!

2. Playing too cool

Another problem with mafisi is acting a perfect gentleman, mostly because they don’t know how to play their cards.

The fear of making the first move without facing intense distaste and aversion from the chick makes some dudes act way too cool as if the idea of shagging her hasn’t crossed their minds.

The girl will get bored with a timid man who doesn’t know how to approach her. She will concoct a plan to leave you with your mind-numbing house to entertain yourself with the boredom.

3. Cliché lines

“Aki naumia sana, si unipee ntaingiza kichwa tu” Team Mafisi pickup line.

The lady is showing signs she’s ready to give you the green light to explore her cookie jar but she needs more convincing and pampering from you and you end f***ng up with silly pickup lines.

Fisi slip at this stage with cliché lines and end up not getting it. The lady notices you are desperate then she makes you her slave.

“Mwisho nlikula 3 months ago” You pick this line forgetting you had told her in a text chat that you last smashed your ex 6 months ago. You won’t be getting it!

4. ‘The couch is uncomfortable can we move to the bed’

Fisi will do anything to get the lady to move from the couch to the bed. What you do and what you say determines whether you will be soaking your ‘little man’ in ‘wetland’.

Ninjas will come up with all sort of hilarious excuses to get the lady to the bed. You have only started the kissing and cuddling phase for a few seconds and you are already pleading with her to move to the bed.

She tells you to wait a minute so that the foreplay could fire her up and make her beg for a drill and you are there telling her how the couch is so uncomfortable. You won’t be getting it!

5. Choice of condom

She is in bed and clothes are now dropping then she asks you to get the rubber. And because you are economical with your finances you pull out a packet of sure condoms. Or the best you have is some funny brands that don’t have a name visible on the package.

She sends you to get good latex and when you come back she’s dressed and rushing to attend to an emergency!

Mary Wambui Breaks Down As She Painfully Mourns The Late Former First Lady Lucy Kibaki

As Kenyans continue to mourn former First Lady Lucy Kibaki and send their condolences to the Kibaki family, one of the people who have come out pretty much affected has been Mary Wambui the Othaya Mp.

During a press conference by Nyeri MPs to send their condolences, may burst to tears as she mourned the loss of someone she termed a close personal friend. “”I have lost a personal friend. I know how far we have come with her and the many things she taught us, including to be courageous and fight for what is ours.”

She sent her condolences to the family while saying she will miss the former first lady. This comes as quite a contrast to what was perceived in the public as bad blood between the two ladies especially with media reports linking her to the president given that long before she was a legislator she had police protection and other state resources at her disposal. The two are however known to have been friends early on in their lives

Joho Parades And Shames Corrupt County Officers (Photos)

While Nairobi County Askaris have fun and conduct their harassment and bribe collection rings with impunity, their Mombasa counterparts are having quite a hard time.

Coast Governor Hassan Joho surprised a pair of the officers when he had the whole group paraded in public to enable a resident pick the two who had extorted money from him.

The man one Peter Oluoch managed to identify the two officers who were interdicted promptly as they await to be charged for corruption. The governor issued a stern warning to other corrupt officers saying his county government will deal with any corrupt officers promptly and punitively.

B***h Where? Prezzo’s Girlfriend Shows Us What Prezzo Wakes up To after People Said She Had ‘Twangad’ Without the Makeup and Hair (Photos)

Michelle Oyola gained popularity for dating his rapcellency Prezzo. But it seems that her unsavoury behaviour on ‘Nairobi Diaries’ is now alienating her fans.

From saying that Prezzo doesn’t like dark skins like Pendo, to whining about Pendo wherever she goes and tussling with the ghetto princess, her popularity is just dwindling day by day.

Maybe that is why some of her co-stars and KOT have taken to throwing shade her way. And the one thing people seem to say is that she aint sh*t without the make-up.

otola_mich.JPG

The young lady is hell-bent on addressing her haters and shared some make-up free selfies to show that she is still fine.

“Oh uuum I heard ya’ll were saying I ain’t sh*t without the makeup and hair lol b**ch where? ??? #Straight from Western #Kamluhya kaflani amaizing hivi” she captioned one of the selfies.

Here Is How Willy Paul And Bahati Have Been Punished For Their Beef

Hate or chide Bahati and Willy Paul for their childish antics, ‘secularized’ lifestyles and other antics they come up with, but give them their due as one of the most popular gospel acts in the country.

As a matter of fact their popularity transcends the gospel industry. It is this standing and the fact that each of them had a number of hits this year that led to many being surprised following their exclusion at the annual Groove Awards Nomination.

The ceremony which was done at KNT released names for this year’s nominees. Willy Paul attended the event while Bahati skipped it. Explanation given by the organizers for the omission of the two from the list of nominations is that their protracted public beef was unchristian and against the very values the gospel industry aimed to promote.

Here Is Rugby Sevens Team Captain’s Wife And What He Thinks Of Rugby Players Being Ladies’ Men (Photo)

Andrew Amonde, the Kenya rugby Sevens team captain does not think all rugby players are ladies men and places it down to personal discipline and choices.

Speaking in an interview with Daily Nation a couple of days after the team had jetted in from their victorious trip in Singapore. Speaking at their home in Roysambu, the Captain who was along with his fiancée Damaquelyn Omwenga said “It’s not that every rugby player is a ladies’ man. It comes with a lot of discipline. Every man has a choice about what to do. It is not only rugby guys; it’s everyone that has to make a choice. My choice is that I respect her very much and I would not want to do anything that can bring any dispute between us,”

Nick Mutuma’s Ex Bridget Shighadi Does Something Unexpected. No One Saw This Coming (Photos)

For a long time, Bridget Shighadi and Nick Mutuma were Kenya’s hottest couple until their unfortunate break-up.

The two have however remained friends and even hanged out at Bridget’s birthday party and had a photo-shoot for her clothing line Yedu. Thanks to Yedu, Bridget has managed to step away from Nick Mutuma’s shadow and has now gained fame as her own person.

The petite beauty recently did something drastic that left our jaws on the floor. She chopped her enviable tresses, opting for short hair. Which I must say looks so damn good on her. Best haircut ever!

As Leonardo DiCaprio, Nicole Kidman and British Legend Elton John Prepare To Jet Into The Country For The Burning Of Ivory Next Weekend, Total Kenya Donates Over A Million Shillings Worth Of Fuel To Power The Ivory Burning

Total Kenya Limited has donated over a million shillings worth of fuel to power the ivory burning scheduled for this Saturday (April 30th) at the Nairobi National Park.

The stock pile of ivory which has been recovered from poachers and illegal consignments intercepted at aerodromes and seaports consist of 25,000 elephant tusks weighing 105 tonnes and 1.35 tonnes of rhino horns.

A mixture of diesel and kerosene will be sprayed under the tusks through pipes and jets to fuel the fire. This together with firewood in between the tusks will achieve very high temperatures from steady heat to reduce the tusks to ash. The system was designed by Robin Hollister, a well-known location manager in the film industry who was also in charge of the event in 1989.

The gift of fuel is the latest example of Total’s continuing support for wildlife and environmental conservation. For more than fifteen years, the company has been a major sponsor of the annual Rhino Charge which has raised money needed to fund the construction and maintenance of an electric fence surrounding the Aberdares, Mt Kenya and Mau Eburu forests. This protects elephants, rhinos, and a variety of wild animals from poachers and helps to curb human-wildlife conflict in those areas. The forests safeguard the sources of streams and rivers which provide water for Nairobi and villages and towns in central Kenya.

In 2003 the Total Eco Challenge campaign was started under the slogan “Miti Ni Mali Miti Tosha”. The aim is to inspire and help all Kenyans to plant trees in every possible place. The target was 100 million trees per year, every year, forever. Today the Eco Challenge has more than 5,000 projects that have seen the planting of hundreds of millions of trees since inception.

Kitchen Camera Catches Wicked Maid Pouring Her Urine In Her Boss’ Juice While Preparing The Drink For Her Employer (Disturbing Video)

She put a cup between her thighs, peed in it then mixed her urine with her boss’ juice before serving her. Remember she did this in the kitchen!!

Better be watchful of your maid! Mistreat her and you will end up being fed with raw sewage mixed in your delicious food.

A viral footage uploaded by Daily Mail shows a househelp in the Middle East peeing in a cup in the kitchen before mixing her urine in her employer’s juice.

The family that employed the maid was suspicious of her for reasons they know best and they decided to install secret cameras in the kitchen.

The camera prevented the boss from quenching her thirst with a cocktail of stinking human urine and fresh fruits.

Caroline Mutoko’s Illicit Love Affair With Chase Bank Should Make Us Worried. Very Worried.

Caroline Mutoko is a brand. Good. A brand that, more often than not, gets paid to push a product, start a narrative, initiate a school of thought, influence society and even,in extreme cases, defend her corporate interests.

That’s what brands do. Kendall Jenner gets paid insane tons of dollars for posting a sultry photo of herself dressed in Calvin Kleins. And sure,Nash Grier, the most powerful personality on Vine,at only eighteen years old, makes massive amounts of dough whenever he mentions or pushes brands like Virgin Mobile and Sonic.

There is absolutely NOTHING wrong to push a particular brand or organization fervently, especially if you’re pocketing dough at the end of the day.

Trouble is,what sort of brand are you pushing? And are you at the right side of history?

Prior to the ignominious collapse of Chase Bank,a bank that prided itself as the hub of the elite and the well-to-do,Caroline Ndinda Mutoko had been their advertiser.

She had,not once or twice, heavily promoted the Chase Bank brand and painted it in the most colorful of colors as the ultimate Bank in Kenya. Obviously,Miss Mutoko had been paid by the Bank to do the dirty work for them.

But while the the Bank’s sales and marketing team were busy recruiting powerful radio figures to push them, the guys sitting in the boardroom were busy siphoning out billions of Kenya Shillings to themselves,in unsecured loans that they had no intention or road map of paying back. Ever.

It was one of the most obscene corporate thuggeries of all time.

More than 50,000 depositors with nearly Sh100 billion in Chase Bank and 1,400 employees were financially ruined after the bank was brought down by fraudulent transactions of the institution’s pugnacious Ferrari-driving officials.

The same Bank that Caroline Mutoko would be singing endless praises of would end up being the bank that was actually not the sweetheart it had been relentlessly marketed out as.

And soon enough,it’s collapse was inevitable. The swindlers would thereafter go missing, with billions of shillings treacherously loaned out to themselves, money that belonged to other people.

But Caroline wouldn’t cut ties with such an unscrupulous bank. Not so soon. Not when she had so much to lose.

Even when the bank was mired in one of the ugliest scandals of all time,Caroline still stood by it and by extension,by it’s shadiness and unethical activities.

The good radio Queen never found it in herself to rebuke the Bank’s directors and castigate them for being such a cabal of dishonorable, machiavellian individuals.

The woman who has been severally named as one of the most powerful people in Kenya clearly didn’t find anything absolutely wrong with the Bank’s operations and the fact that they blatantly robbed their own depositors.

She stuck by the goons and even composed a whole new chorus on Facebook singing,‪#‎IStandWithChaseBank‬.

That such an influential figure, who gets invited to speak to girls and women about independence and strength and morality would NOT rebuke an institution she has worked for,for fleecing Kenyans and leading thousands of people into panic, was the most shocking thing.

Caroline,it seemed, saw nothing wrong with the deceitful ways of the Bank’s former honchos. She still sang the Bank’s praise and still pushed the Bank’s message, even when it was knee-deep in the messiest financial scandal we’ve witnessed yet.

Caroline even formed a formidable social media army to sing Chase Bank’s void praises all through and would then share their little experiences with her Facebook audience.

In fact, last night,Caroline shared one of the Facebook posts of yet another woman defending Chase Bank and declaring her unending love for the bank but that post is now curiously missing from her timeline.

I don’t know what kind of sorcery is this but clearly,it’s not the good kind.

Unapologetic and undaunted,Caroline chose to stand by a gang of corporate thugs and crafty, piggish individuals.

And then a former Chase Bank depositer Florence Kamaitha did a little article that was published on HapaKenya.com detailing her unending romance with Chase Bank. Quickly,Caroline Mutoko shared that blog post. And,expectedly,it went viral.

What most of the former Chase Bank’s depositors cited as their reason to still remain chained to Chase Bank was the fact that,at Chase Bank, they were treated with care, they were loved, they were told they were loved, they would be called and wished Happy Birthday and more of such nonsense.

These Chase Bank loyalists are not giving us sound reasons for still sticking with Chase Bank…They are not telling us of the fact that,at Chase Bank, you can get better loan rates, your money is more secure, there’s a better atmosphere for banking and such complex issues.

All you can hear them say is,’At Chase Bank,I used to feel loved and wanted’. Oh please. As if Banks are now meant to double up as cute, pet dogs.

Caroline Mutoko now wants us to stick with a Bank that is robbing us,a bank that plunges us to financial disarray,a bank whose directors are playing hide and seek with our billions simply because the customer care girls are sweet and lovely.

Caroline Mutoko wants me to buy the stupid #IStandWithChaseBank narrative simply because,at Chase Bank, they would send you flowers over on Valentine’s Day, they would quickly pick my call of distress, they would smile at me and tell me I looked good today and that they were so very adorable.

What utter bullshit!

I want a bank that makes me feel safe,a bank that won’t play with my millions,a bank that values my hard-earned cash,a bank that understands that if I lost my money I would probably lose my life and a bank that is not stupid enough to fleece itself dry with over 50% of it’s deposits loaned out amongst the directors.

I don’t care about a bank that tells me that I smell good. Or that I have a nice shirt. I have my wife for that.

F**k a bank that sounds sweet to me on the phone and proceeds to siphon my millions out of my account.

I ain’t a three year old. I don’t need to be pampered and sweet talked. It’s a bank. Not a goddam Luther Vandross concert.

63029347.jpg

But Caroline Mutoko and her team of sentimental women have sustained that particular narrative. They want you to look beyond the fact that YOUR money was robbed and start reminiscing about the good old days and how charming the Customer Care dudes were.

Institutions are NOT run on sentimentalism.

Fraud is fraud. Doesn’t matter how kind the thug was.

Caroline has totally missed the point. And is sadly on the very wrong side of history as we speak right now.

It’s a shame that she would be so fervent in glorifying a bank that almost led people to suicide and irreparable financial ruin. But when you’re accustomed to sleeping with the devil,it’s hard to criticize his thorny tail.

It’s deplorable.

To properly understand me,read this article titled Banks Suffering Under Misleadership that was first published by the Daily Nation and you will see what I am riled up about.

Unfortunately, Caroline is a very influential media figure and we all know how powerful she is and how easy it is for her to drive a narrative home no matter how incredulous it is.

But her illicit romance with the Bank has to end.

Either that or she was very heavily involved in the grand heist that was carried out by the directors. And actually benefited from some of the hefty, unsecured loans that were mannerlessly dished out across the table.

When women of Mutoko’s social standing suddenly start siding with crooks and felons,it’s time to be afraid. Very afraid.

Sickening.

Narudi Ocha! TV Hunks Nick Mutuma And NTV’s Martin Kimathi Decide To Run Away From Nairobi Life. This Is What Led To This Drastic Decision

Nairobi life has become extremely hard not only for us, but also our celebrities too and TV hunks Nick Mutuma and Martin Kimathi are running away from the hustle and bustle of Nairobi life.

The two are now going back to their roots to build up a coffee farm from scratch in Meru County. Both Nick and Martin feel they deserve a break from the entertainment industry which is all a facade as artistes are living a lie and drowning in debt in a bid to keep up with showbiz.

“I needed to get away from all the hype and try detox. I want to get my priorities in order and figure out what matters and why I do what I do.” says Nick Mutuma.

tush.jpg

Both Nick and Martin are seen trying their hand at everything in a bid to adapt to the rural life & build up a profitable coffee farm business. However, they are both in for more than they bargained for as the farm is far from any township with poor roads, and no electricity.

“Sometimes you need to step away from it all to see the bigger picture .”says Martin Kimathi.

Remembering Lucy Kibaki In Old Photos. Her Fun Moment With Her Alleged Co-wife Mary Wambui While They Were Still Friends And Petite Young Women Is Breathtaking (Photos)

Whoever said history caught in pictures doesn’t fade had a point, old photos of Lucy Kibaki in her prime have surfaced as Kenyans mourn her.

Lucy Kibaki passed on yesterday while receiving specialized treatment at Bupa Cromwell Hospital in London, UK.

Kenyans have been sharing the most memorable moments of the former first lady they haven’t forgotten.

One of the most talked about Lucy Kibaki’s moment is the incident in 2009 where Kibaki was forced to address the nation to make it crystal clear that Lucy Kibaki was his one and ONLY wife.

This was after  media reports claimed that Kibaki had married current Othaya MP, Mary Wambui, under customary law.

Kibaki accompanied by a furious Lucy Kibaki held the press conference to bury claims that he had a second wife.

That aside, check out old photos of Lucy Kibaki in the gallery below:

CYPRIAN NYAKUNDI…..How Maliciousness Has Become The New Definition Of Kenya’s Online Activism.

Back then, back in the days when Kenyan activists were actual agitators who literally camped in the streets and bore the ruthless brunt of the KANU Government, activism was a calling,a vocation,a duty, and to some extent, even a form of selfless service to God and to mankind.

The likes of Martin Shikuku,James Orengo,Timothy Njoya and Wangari Maathai were mostly driven by one thing ; the wanton excesses of the KANU regime, the rot in Governance, the autocracy of the then-President,the runway corruption and shameless plunder and annexation of public property and the startling disregard for the rule of law and democracy.

Rarely were they driven by the desire to outshine the other guy,the selfish need to emerge the loudest guy in the streets or the hope of bagging fat delay and pocketing huge monies from progressive foreign NGOs. Theirs was a passionate movement,a purpose – driven agitation that was informed by their ideals and beliefs and seldom by their greed and notoriety.

And after much persistence, incarcerations, brutal beatings, random assassinations and wicked Government schemes against their lives, their actions actually bore fruits.

Some would go on to win coveted global awards like the Nobel Peace Prize Award. And some would go on to usher in an age of Freedom of expression, usher in an age of a freer democracy and a vibrant, fearless opposition.

Wangari would relentlessly camp at the Karura Forest and also at the Uhuru Park grounds to ensure that no illegal activities, sanctioned by a rotten administration, would be allowed there.

Armed with nothing but a little team of feisty women and like-minded individuals, nothing but a resolute spirit and a deep conviction,Wangari and her cabal would shake the Government to its core and restore what she set out to protect.

karuraprotest.jpg

Eminent activist Wangari Maathai facing off with hired goons at the Karura Forest.

No land was stolen,no skyscrapers were erected on public space and no part of a forest was cleared to make way for some sleazy commercial mercenaries.

But the activist of today has moved from the streets to the Internet.

He’s not driven by a desire to lead from the front and actually make things happen, but by the desire to be the most notorious blogger this side of town, the desire to have the hottest expose on a rotten Government and the desire to shine brightest, not for Country but for self.

The new age activist has changed from a vessel of truth and social sanity to a nuisance ; a pestilent loudmouth and a feral being whose mission is NOT to sanitize society but to settle cheap scores for publicity’s sake.

The activist of today is less interested in the results of his activism and more interested in being an irritation,in being a constant pain in the ass,in having the focus shift to him and not to the social ills he claims to be outing and in being the center of the drama and not the purveyor of the story.

We don’t have Koigi Wamweres anymore. Or Charles Rubias. Just a bunch of disgruntled twenty-something year olds who probably dropped out of college and for lack of a better thing to keep them relevant, they chose to ride on the scandals of the rich and powerful to appear like they’re better or like they matter.

They couldn’t be further from the truth.

Granted, social media has made activism much easier. Nowadays,it’s easier to smell a Scandal than it was in the 90’s. Careers are going down by the sole power of Twitter and scandals are getting much exposure and scrutiny through the sheer power of the social media.

But also,in it’s wake, career activists have propped up. Young men and women whose greatest achievement and contribution to the nation is sleaze, heresy, baseless propaganda, insults, intrusion into the private lives of the rich and powerful and the use of unprintable adjectives when addressing their foes.

Nyakundi, for instance, would certainly love to be viewed as the latter day Mohandas Ghandi – a man fighting for social justice, putting an evil government on it’s toes and leading the people to a land of freedom and accountability.

But what Nyakundi really is is an asshole. An incessant nuisance who trades insults like a sub-educated Somali pirate and who revels in gloating at his enemies, making enemies, commenting about the bedroom affairs of adults, calling people gay and philanderers, trashing their marriages and speculating on their bedroom fetishes.

His whole world is a messy, childish spectacle cleverly woven to look like a man fighting for truth and justice while in essence he’s just a little sad individual intent on casting trouble for the sake of trouble, annoying the rich and mighty, alarming the nation and pandering baseless gossip passing it off as the Gospel truth.

And we don’t have a shortage of these fellows.

They revel in the limelight. They want to be taken to jail to shore up their activism credibility. They’re not breaking scandals and exposing the rot in our public service because they’re called to do so or feel a strong obligation to do so- but because they’re in a wicked rat race to outdo themselves, endanger their lives further (for no reason) and be the Baddest in the game.

NGO dollars,of course, also are very much in the whole mix.

To the new age activist, with an inflated Twitter account and a ghostly Facebook page, activism has ceased to be a duty to mankind and a calling for the weak. It’s now quickly becoming any assholes playground and the dirtier you can get,the bolder you can be,the bigger the insults you can use to harangue the public figures, the better for you.

What Nyakundi and his camarilla of clueless, selfish knaves need to understand is that, lives were lost in the struggle for freedom and restoration of democracy in Kenya. Blood was shed and people actually went to jail, got excommunicated, ended up in detention cells, braced the brutality of the Nyayo Torture Chambers and even fled the country for the truth.

Without calling anyone stupid. Or silly. Or c**ksucker or gay or  m***erfu*ker or whatever.

You don’t need to be abusive, nasty, annoying, excessive, bitter, angry and straight up foul-mouthed to tell the public that Hon. So and so had stolen this and that piece of land.

The new age activist is way too combative, too abusive, too crude, too full of himself, too rude, too annoying, too much of a nuisance and too conceited to bring about any social change. Or to be taken seriously.

We’ll never win the war… If we were going to allow these self-obsessed social media antagonists fight for us.

Mzungu Kondaa! A White Female Tout Operating In A Nairobi Matatu Causes A Stir (Photo)

Female touts are common phenomena in Nairobi Matatus nowadays but a female white kondaa, surely that’s a shocker!

For a long time Matatu industry has been a preserve of ‘rowdy unschooled’ men but the industry is quickly undergoing a radical change.

Ladies have taken up jobs as matatu touts and sometimes though rarely as drivers. Even sizzling hot women have been spotted operating as touts.

A photo of a white female tout collecting fare from commuters has sparked wild excitement on social media.

The whereabouts of the mzungu makanga can’t not be immediately traced but indeed there is a route which has a white tout.

What’s Wrong With The Wanyamas? Victor Wanyama’s Elder Brother McDonald Mariga Banned From Italian Football For Spilling Referee’s Blood

Just the other day it was Victor Wanyama who was banned from English football and now his elder brother has assaulted a referee!

Wanyamas must be too tough for European football; Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama was recently banned from EPL action for six weeks (five-match ban )after being red-carded for the third time in 2015/2016 season.

Victor’s elder brother McDonald Mariga Wanyama has also received a five-match ban from Italian football, Series B.

Mariga who plays for Unione Sportiva Latina Calcio was sent off in the second half while playing against Virtus Entella in the past weekend.

But before he left the pitch, the 29-year-old player went to shake the referee’s right hand and squeezed it so hard that it caused an abrasion which drew blood.

Mariga also insulted the referee after assaulting him. The disciplinary commission responded by slapping him with a five-match ban after launching an inquiry into his uncanny behavior.

Forget About Going To Eritrea, This New Seductive Dance By Voluptuous Tanzania Ladies Will Have You Moving To Tanzania (Adults Only Video)

Kenyan men have to be the most mafisi in the region and the buzz created by the faux story about Eritrean law requiring one to marry two or more ladies proves this.

However, Kenyan men have a craving for Tanzanian women not just for their beauty and famed politeness but also for their amazing skill of shaking their derriere. Even at advanced ages, the ladies still can shake and gyrate at a skill many Kenyan ladies can only dream off.

Their dancing styles are so seductive in nature and now they have a new dancing craze called Chura dance. It is being popularized through an equally seductive song by the same name and done by Snura Mushi.

The ladies in the video are well endowed and their moves mind boggling. Here is the video

5 Kenyan Public Figures Whose Cause Of Death Was Shrouded In Controversies. Number 3 Was Said To Have Died Of Drug Overdose Though Autopsy Report Wasn’t Made Public

A number of public figures have died in a span of 5 years and the cause of their deaths still remains a mystery or a well guarded secret.

The public is always interested to know what caused the death of news makers whenever death comes knocking.

But the deaths of some public figures have still remained a mystery years after they passed on. We illuminate 5 trendsetters whose deaths were shrouded in controversies.

1. George Saitoti

saitoti78guu.jpg

Kenya’s longest serving Vice President died in a helicopter crash in Ngong forest while flying to South Nyanza for a fundraiser in June 2012.

While it seems obvious the cause of death was from the accident, KTN’s Mohammed Ali told Kenyans in his investigative that there was foul play in Saitoti’s death.

Moha’s claims were seconded by a medical report; Dr Dorothy Njeru told the Justice Kalpana Rawal commission investigating Saitoti’s accident that the former Internal Security Minister died before the chopper he was in crashed.

Saitoti was to expose names of drug lords in parliament prior to his death, powerful forces in Kenya were linked to his death.

2. Otieno Kajwang

otieno-kajwang346.jpg

He was in perfect condition hours to his death on November 18th 2014; that’s why ODM demanded quick investigations into the death of Otieno Kajwang once news broke he had passed on.

Kajwang died at Mater Hospital after he was rushed there complaining of chest pains. Government pathologist Dr. Johansen Odour confirmed the late Homa Bay senator died of heart attack though the medical report didn’t convince many.

Conspiracy theorists came up with explanations which I will not go into details for the sake of national cohesion.

3. George Thuo

george56Thuo.jpg

The former Juja MP collapsed and died while drinking with friends at Porkies Pub in Thika on 17th November 2013.

Medical reports indicated that Thuo died from consuming a highly toxic chemical believed to have been mixed with his drink.

Six suspects including Thuo’s friends were put on trial for the murder of the former Juja legislator. The motive behind his murder has not been established though hearsay has its own funny explanations.

4. Fidel Odinga

fidel-odinga234.jpg

His death was the most talked about topic in 2015. Fidel was found dead in his house at Windy Ridge, Karen after a night-out with friends.

The cause of his death has not been made public though some suggested it was alcohol poisoning while Boniface Mwangi said Fidel died of drug overdose

5. Lucy Kibaki

Mamma.jpg

The former First Lady passed on today at a London hospital after she was transferred from Nairobi Hospital a few days ago.

Doctors at Nairobi hospital referred journalists to her family for queries when they demanded to know what the former first lady was being treated for.

Her transfer to London hospital and even the cause of her death have remained a well guarded secret that only her families know about.

Rumor had it that Lucy had mental problems and had even been admitted at a mental facility but these claims just remain rumors as they can’t be substantiated.

“I Am Sorry Darling, His Pipeline Is Bigger Than Yours” How Museveni Dumped Uhuru For Magufuli (Photo)

For all his issues with the newspapers you have to say the Uhuru government at times gets its tough from the fourth estate.

Nothing exemplifies this than some of the cartoons that get published taking a satirical view on the important current issues. Recently, Uganda snubbed Kenya and decided to construct its pipeline through Tanzania. It is an action that irked Kenya given how the country had lobbied to get the prestigious venture.

The Star lead cartoonist Gathara decided to have a go on the issue and in dark satirical humor playing on the words pipeline and being in bed. He drew a photo of Museveni and Magufuli being busted by Uhuru Kenyatta in bed in a rather compromising position.

Here is the picture and you can at last see where the president was coming from when he said newspapers are for meat wrapping.

Co-operative Bank of Kenya Responds To Malicious Document In Circulation!Full Statement

Dear Kenyans,

Our attention has been drawn to a hate anonymous document circulated on social media on the shareholding structure of the bank.

We wish to put the following on record:

  1. The listing of Co-operative Bank was over 8 years back in year2008. This was vide an Initial Public Offer (IPO) that was approved by all the necessary Government regulatory agencies that included the Ministry of Finance, the Central Bank of Kenya, the Nairobi Securities Exchange and the Capital Markets Authority.

All the pertinent disclosures were made as per the detailed Information Memorandum to the general public dated 27th October 2008 that included the restructuring process undertaken to facilitate the listing.  The Hon. Minister for Finance vide Gazette notice No.7089 dated 8th August 2008 effected the restructuring.

  1. The Hate document was initially circulated way back in June 2008 by a former Managing Director of the Bank Mr. Erastus Mureithi, who was retired early by the bank in year 2001 following huge losses.

  1. Mr. Mureithi is in court with the Bank on various matters that are in the public domain; on one case Mr. Mureithi has been ordered by court to refund the Bank various unpaid taxes to KRA now in excess of Ksh 25 Million.

  1. Co-op Bank shareholding/directors interest in the Bank is in the public domain as a listed Bank.  The Bank is 65% owned by Co-opholding Co-operative Society Limited, a strategic vehicle on behalf of the over 10 million member co-operative movement in Kenya.  The Bank with countrywide ownership is indeed the face of Kenya.

  1. The Bank has been listed at the Nairobi Securities Exchange now for almost 8 years and we are not aware of any concerns by the shareholders on the structure as approved in year 2008.

  1. Co-op Bank is undoubtedly one of Kenya’s success stories.  From a big loss of over Ksh 2.3 Billion with the institution on the verge of collapse in year 2001, the Bank is now the largest Co-operative Bank in Africa, and one of the largest in the region with an asset base of over Ksh 340 Billion, and a profit of over Ksh 15.38 Billion, over 145 outlets and over 5.9 million customers. The Bank is run by a professional Board of Directors with regular shareholders meetings.

As above, the allegations contained in the undated, anonymous document are totally untrue, malicious and unfounded. Co-op Bank has operated at all times with utmost professionalism and ethical standards.

“Your Ignorance Couldn’t Stop Your Drunk Brother From Dying Like A Dog!” Angry Kenyans Fire at Robert Alai after He Made Insensitive Comments about Mama Lucy’s Death

Things are really getting out of hand and people are making some really hurtful comments on Twitter following the death of Former First lady.

While Kenyans were mourning Lucy Kibaki Robert Alai decided to use this as a teachable moment and posted this:

What these corrupt leaders looting Kenya will discover is that no amount of loot will insulate them from death.

Our mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers are dying daily due to preventable diseases but since greed precede service, the deaths will never end.

From Hospitals in Kiambu, Isiolo, Isebania to Malaba, we can’t get proper medical care because someone must steal. Our hospitals dampens the hopes of patients as our leaders seek treatment in foreign lands.

Even the 7-star Bupa Cromwell Hospital could not stop the death of Lucy Kibaki. Not even with the loot from the regime of her husband. She couldn’t raid the news desk of death announcer to stop death.

I pray that our leaders remember to equip local hospitals because their greed is killing many more.

Below is the picture of the reception at Bupa Cromwell Hospital and KNH. Compare and contrast.

bupa.JPG

This post has caused a flurry of reactions with many slamming Alai for the post above that many felt was out-of-pocket and ill-timed. Check out the reactions below:

Qanash Hellen :The regime of her husband…it was a nusu mkati government.I however did not hear you speak of Fidels death like this. You actually asked us to pray for mama Ida as she was devastated.I prayed for her.I did not see you question why Raos money couldn’t buy Death out of Fidel’s way,or how comes the looting of Raos side of coalition never helped the young man out of his death. It is a shame that we cannot sympathize with bereaved families but want to create more pain for them. Perhaps one day, when someone you dearly love dies, you will learn the value of sympathy.

Evan Githui :Well said and your ignorance couldn’t , stop your drunk brother die like a dog . Raila son couldn’t see another day due to ignorance of cord , and their Lord of poverty who is now fighting against the devolved health care that National Government is equipping.Cord Noise couldn’t stop the death of them. Look in the bright side dont always hate there is time for everything.

Irene Jack: I thought the death of your brother sometimes back taught being bad or good, u will still die, respect those who are mourning their loved ones.

John Alvil Ochieng: Only fools will not see anything positive about this post, there is no hate here, compare and contrast the two photos above, our leaders don’t equip our hospitals yet will run to a 7 star to get treatment leaving the common mwananchi in such a state, but we are too blind that even when they loot our funds we still have the energy to defend them, who will defend us if not US, issues like these need to be raised more often.

Lizz W Mugo: I wish death could strike your family so that you know the pain that is usually left in the hearts of friends and relatives. I personally knw how one feels. When Fidel died,I could imagine the pain that rao and his family had after losing their son.Don’t you think the same pain is left in the hearts of Kibaki’s family and mama Lucy’s friends?? Try and tame yourself. You might cause disaster frm God to yourself. Death will never choose which family to strike,it does nt recognise a king nor his servants, rich nor poor….It’s God’s decision on who to leave, and you can’t predict your time too, maybe hata hutapatana na miaka ya Lucy Kibaki….

Josphat Koech K: Why did you wait for this to happen so that you talk of him looting? Why didn’t you do that all that time yet you have been online 24/7 ?Is it mocking him or what? Yes let us talk of looting. Let us expose the looters who are looting our money? But this is not the time to attack someone who has lost his wife. Where is humanity?

But if you want us to talk of looting, then I thought we were having a coalition Government and your god was a Prime minister. What was he doing when one was “looting”?

Was he praying aside and asking God to stop the “looters “?

Arthur Kamau: It will still strike your door step.Don’t celebrate js yet. We all must face the taste of death and not even seven star hospitals will prevent it.Core function of doctors is to prolong life and not to prevent death. Get facts right. #gocelebrate

Michael Kisaka: Let the dead mourn the dead, let the living speak the truth. I espouse your sentiments Robert Alai Onyango. whoever is drunk with power now should know that natural calamity doesn’t discriminate. if you move around slapping people and raiding media houses lawlessly, natural calamity takes the revenge.

“Makau Mutua Is a ‘Pink’ MAN Who Talks About MEN” Mutahi Ngunyi in Trouble for Using this Gay Slur against Former Daily Nation and Standard Columnist

Twirrrrra was on fire recently after tyranny of numbers political scientist Mutahi Ngunyi engaged in a war of words with vocal columnist and Professor Makau Mutua.

The altercation seems to have started after Makau sent out this tweet:

makaau.JPG

But Ngunyi was not here for it and decided to take it to ‘petty-town’ and retorted with this:

makau_2.JPG

A jab at the renowned professor who was once wrongfully ‘outed ‘as one of ‘the top gays’ in Kenya.

He responded with this tweet asking Mutahi to respond with facts and credentials instead of insults:

Miguna Miguna decided to chime into the conversation by tweeting “What’s the meaning of a “pink man” and why is he not a member of that exclusive club of “MEN” Ngunyi talks about?”. A tweet that set out a flurry of responses of whether the professor is gay or not and about Mutahi’s credentials.

True to his word, Mutahi did not respond and Mutua rushed to cry to Ole Kaparo for a ‘gay slur’

Higher Education Scholarships Open for Everyone.

Having gone through almost 4years of campus life, I’ll tell you for free it can be daunting at some point! I wanted to change my career choice at some point, there was so much fun in USIU, at times the books just had to take a bench…but now, now I’m glad I did go to University. University life shapes you! Many of my high school mates didn’t go to campus, for one reason or the other. Chances and opportunities to go to Campus then weren’t wide-spread, now, now we have scholarships offered. Genuine scholarships. Anyone can get a Bachelor’s Degree. Don’t lose heart.

I get, at times we doubt the scholarships grants cause they take you abroad, after all those Dubai cases of mistreatment, (you are a special kind of stupid if you still looking for Middle East shoddy offers btw). Did you know there’s an NGO offering local University scholarships? You can pick ANY university of your choice to study in across the nation. And they are not biased (God bless their souls), any one, in all walks of life has a chance to apply! Whether you want a second degree, you are a continuing student or just did your O’ Level and attained a C+, YOU can apply, awesome right?

Save Kenya Foundation is granting scholarships to anyone under 50 years of age, in joining their war of fighting corruption and tribalism, candidates who want the scholarship grant, have to write an essay on the challenge of tribalism and corruption issues in Kenya. Plus, to qualify as a candidate, you need to fill in the scholarship application forms and the membership application forms which can be found here (please read the Terms & Conditions, clearly outlined).

She has opened up about her weight loss problem saying last year due to a number of factors and pressures she added so much weight getting to about 240 pounds.

During this period she plummeted to size 22 something that bothered her to the point she could no longer share her recent photos as per her habit. She however embarked on a new diet and hit the gym and the transformation is astonishing as it is encouraging. She has gone from a size 22 to a size 16.

Here is what she said and her before and after photos

“Last year i was going through stress that made me put on a lot of weight. The left picture was December last year weighing at 120kg/size 22, the right one is me today at size 16. I am not where i wish to be but i am happy with my progress. It had been a year since i posted a current picture of me because i was embarrassed of my weight. With good diet, gym and focus you can be whatever size you want.
It’s a challenge to be a young lady in this competitive world. It’s tougher being related to a woman who has summounted odds many of us can hardly imagine. But we are who we are. Everyone of us is a child of destiny”
