Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu lost his own brother who was the commander who led Israeli raid in Uganda to save Israeli hostages. Netanyahu is coming to East African and Israeli forces have staged another of Entebbe raid.

Netanyahu is expected to land at Entebbe International Airport any time now. He will join host President Yoweri Museveni, Uhuru Kenyatta, and the leaders of Rwanda, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Zambia and Malawi, in a regional anti-terrorism summit before flying to Kenya for an official state visit.

Israeli commandos have put on display the C130 Herculean plane that rescued Israeli hostages 40 years ago at Entebbe airport ahead of Netanyahu’s visit.

Netanyahu lost his brother, Lt. Col. Yonatan Netanyahu, who was killed during an Israeli operation to rescue hostages held at Entebbe airport by Palestinian terrorists.

The Palestinian terrorists hijacked Air France plane leaving Tel Aviv for Paris and flew it to Uganda with 248 passengers on board, mostly Israelis.

At the pub, we were soon joined by my other friend Zack who made sure everything we had eaten was on his bill. After a few hours of chit-chatting we moved to a table closer to the TV screens since the quarter final game between Germany and Italy was about to start.

Moments later, some two chicks came and sat on the table just next to ours. Everyone turned their heads to look at the prettier girl. Upon closer scrutiny, I realized that she was one of the popular radio girls. She was wearing a white top and a red mini with heels. The thirst soon started building

A few minutes later, before their order had arrived, the radio chick and her bestie stood up and walked to our table.

“Mind if we sit with you guys?” she asked.”We can’t see the screen well from there”

‘Sure…no problem,” I answered.

As if the gods had planned all this to my favor, the radio girl sat next to me while her friend sat on the other side. Only a few minutes remained before kickoff and I knew I had to initiate a conversation early or else all her concentration would be gone.

I thought of bringing up a conversation about football but then I remembered something I read in a book by one of the Australia’s greatest seducers. He said ; ‘When trying to talk to a woman in a venue with a sports atmosphere, don’t talk about the game until she does so first. If you bring up a conversation about sports, she might think of you as a friend (something which you want to avoid) or worse, she might think you are trying to test her sports knowledge.’

That’s true. Female fans of soccer especially, put up with a lot of shit to watch the game they love, much of it from male fans. They are hit with accusations that they are only into it because their bae is or that they don’t really understand the intricacies of the game. They are catcalled, derided and quizzed as though they don’t belong there

To be safe I chose a different topic.

“I am fan of your show by the way” I told her, even though I never listen to it.

“Oh.,,,,Thank you”, she said, smiling.

“You are welcome. No other presenter in Kenya engages listeners as well as you do”, I added a compliment

She now blushed, trying to figure what to say, but before another word could come out of her cute lips, I hit her with another verbal projectile

“By the way, when I was studying in England two years ago, I had a neighbor who looked like you. Ama it was you na sikujua?” I asked with a perfect smile. (The smile is always important. It eradicates any traces of awkwardness)

“Haha…no. Imagine sijawai kua England. ………So you studied in England?” she inquired  

“Yes…I studied Literature at the University of Lancaster.” I affirmed with pride.

The thing is, I’ve never been to England. I made all that up

White lies are effective when trying to seduce girls of a higher status. Such chicks are prestige-oriented. They want men that are of equal or higher value than them. As long as you don’t overdo it and limit yourself to only one or a couple white lies per approach, you’ll find that it’s a necessary evil for making girls feel comfortable. So the radio chick suddenly developed a keen interest in me. I kept talking to her and to avoid her digging into my non-existent literature course, I kept asking her about her life. Chicks like talking about their lives, especially successful chicks. And they also love guys that listen to what they have to say.

As the game continued, we kept talking and laughing and soon the chemistry had built to optimum levels. Luckily, Zack was doing a great job of keeping the other chick occupied. He was buying her drink after drink and entertaining her more than the game. Clearly he wanted to smash her hard. Thirst was written all over his face.

Soon, I was teasing the radio chick and touching her arms. She didn’t resist. It happened that we were both supporting Italy. I kept engaging her and demonstrating my value and she was loving it. When I put my arm across her shoulder, I left it there, feeling her warmth all through.

Escalating physically with a woman shows that you are not afraid of her. It communicates to her that you really want her. My demonstration of personal value was working,

When I unlocked my lips from hers, her eyes scanned everyone In the pub. Maybe she was worried someone might be taking pictures. When she didn’t see anyone with a phone or camera raised so she relaxed. I really hope no one took pictures though. Haha. I am holding my breath, waiting to see if pictures of us kissing will pop up on some blog. But even if they do, I don’t care. She doesn’t seem to be the type to care though

“I like you, but I can’t have sex with you tonight. I am supposed to pick up a relative at JKIA at five in the morning.”

“When then?” I asked.

“Tuesday evening is fine with me, because I have tight schedules tomorrow and on Monday. Come to my place. I am always afraid of going to guys places,,,,lol.” she confirmed.

‘’No problem,” I said

The new move, fuses its two television stations (QTV and NTV) into one multi-lingual station as it scales down its employees in Kenya(Nation and Q F.M) and Rwanda (K F.M).

Among its latest casualties is Larry Madowo, Daniel Weke, Shose Oyalo and Eddie Butita who hosted a Saturday morning show (The Larry Madowo Show)on Nation F.M.

 

Larry Madowo took to one of his social media pages to break down the news and thank all those who gave him an opportunity to host a radio show.

My shiny forehead and I had the privilege of hosting The Larry Madowo Show on Nation FM over the last 2 years. Alongside @danielweke, @shoseoyalo and @eddiebutita we helped dumb down humanity by laughing much too loudly and saying nothing important. Nation FM rewarded us by giving us a Saturday morning slot and throwing in an extra hour. We only enjoyed our move to radio suburbia for 3 weeks but it was raucous messy and glorious. The Nation Media Group has changed its broadcast strategy and we have to bid adieu to this beloved station. This was one of the highlights of my week and I’m forever grateful for the opportunity. Special thanks to Manwa Magoma who gave me the show, Tim Oriedo who let me keep it as well as Jimmy Gathu and Sean Cardovillis who kept it on. In my first 2 weeks, Prince Nesta patiently taught me how to operate the console and software without once mentioning how dumb I was. That’s how you know he’s a nice person. I couldn’t have done it without Shose, Eddie, DP & all the guests who dropped in on us. Most of all, thank you for listening

The first question that came to my mind when I stumbled upon these photos is just how powerful is this guy?

I mean, who hosts a house warming party and gets more than 5 top notch politicians to attend? Well, I guess only Bonny Musambi; a man of repute who has made a mark in the radio hosting the popular Zinga la Asubuhi show every Monday to Friday on KBC alongside Cynthia and Owago. Being one of the biggest forces to reckon with in the morning, then I can understand the trappings which come with holding such a job; connections, power and a lot of money in the bank.

The house warming went down in rural Kitui area where he constructed a swanky 4 bedroom bungalow which only resembles a palace just to say the least. And as I gathered, it only took him 6 months to complete.

And he did it in style inviting the likes of Charity Ngilu, Musila, Nairobi County Governor Jonathan Mueke, Kitui Deputy governor Peninah Malonza and other high profile people. This was coupled up with traditional dancers and a lot of food and drinks.

Mercy Nyambeki managed to cheat death by a whisker when seven of her colleagues who were with her in the same vehicle perished. She tells her story!

The Friday night accident in Kisii claimed the lives of Kenyatta University, Dedan Kimathi University and Utalii College students.

It was reported that the students were travelling to Magena for an all White Party which was to be held that Friday night.

22-Year Old Mercy Nyambeki who’s a fourth year student pursuing Bachelor of Commerce at Kenyatta University, survived the grisly road accident.

Mercy says they were travelling to Kisii to attend their colleague’s birthday party. She talked to the press while receiving treatment at Kisii Level Five Hospital.

“Kulikua na wanafunzi wa KU, wengine wa Dedan Kimathi. Wengine walishamaliza, wawili walikua washamaliza. Tulikua tunatoka Nairobi kuja Kisii place inaitwa Magena. Kulikua na bash, birthday ya beste yetu. So tulikua tunatravel kuenda hio birthday.” Mercy revealed.

She has come to show support for the Shining Hope for Communities who aim to bring essential services clean water, free health care & more to the community.

Only in Kenya can 133 pupils and 7 teachers fit in a 41-seater matatu!

God forbid but if that matatu was to be involved in an accident then the story could have made headlines across the globe.

National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) officers were taken aback when they stopped a matatu on a highway ferrying pupils to an unknown destination.

Teachers who were in charge of the pupil had told NTSA officers that the bus was only carrying 60 pupils but headcount showed the number was twice what the teachers claimed.

NTSA officers counted 133 pupils and 7 teachers when they carried out the headcount. How on heaven earth did 140 people fit in the 41-seater matatu? Watch the video below:

The devil was busy over the weekend! Two fatal accidents in a single weekend have claimed the lives of over 13 people!

While the country was absorbing the shock caused by the grisly road accident on Friday night in Kisii that claimed the lives of six varsity students, another horrific accident happened on Saturday night at Ndenderu area in the Eastern bypass involving more than 15 vehicles.

Seven people were killed and scores injured as a lorry driver lost control of his truck and rammed into several vehicles.

Sources say the truck driver was speeding when he lost control of the lorry and plunged into other vehicles plying the route.

The scene of the accident was ghastly; wreckage of vehicles everywhere, some upside down and blood spilled on the road.

They were so close to their partying destination (only 12 km away) yet they didn’t make it as the Noah they were travelling in was smashed in a tragic accident killing them on the spot.

A tragic road accident last Friday claimed the lives of six varsity girls heading to Kisii for an All-White party!

The grisly road accident happened along Kisii-Kilgoris highway in Sameta, some 12 kilometers to Magena where the girls were to party on Friday night.

The deceased, who were students drawn from different universities, had travelled all the way from Nairobi to Kisii for the white party. Among the dead include; Vina Morangi Isoe, Valarie Isoe, Pauline Nyanchama, Mary Orina (all from Kenyatta University), Dorothy Nyakerario (Utalii College), and Duncan Nyanaro (Dedan Kimathi University).

The students had taken photos clad in white costumes for the white party and shared on social media prior to their road trip.

 

The accident happened when a car trying to overtake a lorry collided head-on with the Noah the students were travelling in.

The impact of the clash threw the Noah right on the path of the oncoming lorry, and yet again the Noah was hit by the lorry.

The driver of the lorry who survived the accident was quoted by Daily Nation as saying that both cars were speeding when the accident happened.

Daily Nation also reported that the students were spotted at a pub in Mwembe Estate before the accident happened. Several beer cans that littered the accident scene supported this claim.

Let’s say you have been invited to a house party by one of your friends and to get there you find your friends girlfriend; apparently you guys share the same friend.

She’s looking hotter than ever in a polka dot dress which really brings out her curvy silhouette. Her smile is lighting up the whole place and she looks pretty excited to see you. And you can understand why as she was a third wheel in the whole equation considering all your mutual friends have dates.

It gets pretty awkward but soon enough the alcohol kicks in, the music gets louder and everyone is engulfed in the nocturnal activities. Guys start dancing, hold up, it’s not even dancing but grinding on each other.

Everyone is having fun apart from you and your friend’s chick for best reasons known to you both. So you just sit there nibbling on your party cups wishing you had just stayed at home. But as the night fades away, your friends start getting even naughtier. All manners get thrown out of the window and now guys have started kissing and touching.

Now you are there staring them quizzically not knowing what to do. Your friends are now nudging you both, your pal’s chick and you to stop being buzz kills and get into the mode. To avoid the pressure, you oblige and decide to at least dance, that won’t be bad will it? You tell yourself.

What starts off as a simple dance soon turns into a full blown daggering session; your friends’ chick has taken some vodka and she’s a bit tipsy. She’s whining and grinding and you are now starting to feel the effects.

After being trolled and trending for two days, Dennis Itumbi has gotten a new lease of life with the latest information coming from his superior revealing he has not been fired.

It is an interesting twist in the events and shed light to the matters that led to the ‘disbandment’ of the PSCU. According to the latest communication on the matter, lack of cohesion and consistency in communication. Here is the letter from the Deputy Chief of Staff and Deputy Head of Public Service.

We have noted media speculation about the reported disbandment of the Presidential Strategic Communications Unit (PSCU).

Whereas the Unit has faced some challenges in the execution of its mandate, it is working to resolve them. The Unit and its Staff team remain intact and fully committed to their duties.

So here are 7 things Ole Itumbi can get down to do to remain in the public eye and at least ensure we see and write about him more often.

Itumbi being Itumbi knows it is the size of the fight in the dog that matters. Before being rendered jobless he had already caused quite a stir demanding an apology from the New York Times for suggesting he had been under ICC investigation. See how far the man had come?

To any who dared suggest the New York Times is not the Star Dennis had the inspiration and menace to remind them of David in the Bible and we all know how that went.

With Itumbi now free of duties and even the obligation for some level of decorum, he can take on the ICC bare knuckled and treat us to the entertainment that will come of it.

Dennis Itumbi had the knack of appearing at any gathering, whether interviews or just outdoor meetings with a folder full of papers or a tab ever in use. With this he would present hundreds of papers just to respond to one questions or accusations. He was obsessed with facts especially when they favored him and he never Knew a yes or no answer.

He had to illustrate and substantiate with examples and precedents. Unverified sources claim he contributed to 15% of Kenya’s Google searches. We reckon he will do with opening an online library of public matters especially to do with UhuRuto administration. The best place to be based at will be the Kenya Archives in a tent where he will be easily accessible.

Vie as an MCA

Ultimately, the only way to remain in the public eye is to be in politics. Itumbi’s skill set and reputation mean it really in politics that he can rise higher than his former office. Now the good man had much influence in form of name and power but his finances cup did not overflow whether in private or in his enemies presence. So we reckon national assembly posts to be a tad too expensive. However, he sure has enough prominence and finances to start as an MCA somewhere in Embu where his sophistication will see him head committee after committee until he is the chair of all MCAs in Kenya if such a position exists if doesn’t you can be sure he will create it at least on Whatsapp. His skills in a shouting march should pave a rewarding career path to the Senate itself.

Itumbi has been in the corridors of power hob knobbed with the mighty and been privy to a number of state secrets. We sure would love to know the different processes and cogs of wheel dealing at the highest level. However, the one experience that will be comforting to many a brother and help them with tips will be his experience in Jacque Maribe’s friend zone. We feel you brother.

Dennis Itumbi is a showman hence the +1, he always has to be first even among equals. Hellen’s company is making all the staff uniforms including those heads of departments, administration, house keeping, food and beverage, maintainance and the Chefs.

The hotel will employ 122 local permanent staff in different positions including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, sales and marketing. Tune Hotels has tied-up with Utali College for internships and is also exploring opportunities with colleges such as Strathmore.

I feel QTV’s @RashidAbdalla should have a show on @ntvkenya if the two are to be consolidated, he posses great talent.

After Abdalla got promoted, the reactions on social media prove that NTV made a great decision to promote him.

Hacker, government ‘propagandist’, blogger, provacatuer and chapati lover are some of the titles that have been used to describe former Director of Digital Communication in the Office of the President Dennis Itumbi. This is a position he held until yesterday when he faced the axe.

After that Kenya’s social media went ablaze with all manner of information being peddled about the decision. Some celebrated his sacking, terming it deserved and well, expected. Some outright ridiculed him describing him as a bulldog that no longer had teeth to bite.  A few however, sympathized with the man from Embu and urged him on. That his predicament was just a small side step from his journey to greatness.

I watched all this hullaballoo from the sidelines and this is what I deduced from the whole thing; Valuable lessons that we should all adhere to.

First thing first, people are not very happy when your life is going well. When your career is souring and you are cashing in those huge cheques every month. When your relationship is blossoming and you just can’t get enough of each other. When you are rubbing shoulders with the high and mighty in society. Now especially when you rub it in their face by flaunting your success on social media and making all manner of outbursts, the more they will laugh and ridicule you when things start going south. So my advice, stay clear from social media, nothing good ever comes out of it.

Secondly, do your job. And I insist, do your job. Don’t get entrenched into the trappings that come with it and start focusing on the side shows. Those will never get you far. Also don’t assume your employer is never looking, trust me they are always alert, even though not directly but through their cronies. In Itumbi’s case for example, he forgot what his job description entailed and mostly focused on day to day online banter which led to him making quite a number of blunders which I suspect have cost him his job.

Thirdly, like the popular saying goes, which Kenyans recently invented; “salimianga watu kazi huisha”. Life is a cycle or a constant roller coaster so at one moment you are up and the next you are down. So remain humble and treat people accordingly, you might need them when sh*t hits the fan. Keep your friends close and maintain communication because they are the ones to come to your aid when everyone else has gone to the mountains. And with niceties like unliminet 20 by Airtel, communicating with friends and family has really been made easier. With only 20 bob, you are guaranteed 8 minutes talk time across any network, 20 MB of data and 20SMS’s. And of course free facebook, twitter and whatsapp. I mean what more could you need?

In addition, always have side hustles lined up just in case things go south. With all the money Itumbi was making, I would assume he has a mini market somewhere in Embu, a couple of taxis in Uber and at least a 3 storey flat with occupants.  It might not prevent him from falling but it will offer some cushion before he reorganizes himself and gets another job.

Lastly, treat a job as it is, it’s just a job. Don’t go out of your way for it at the expense of your reputation, your relationships and your health, it will not return the favour. In Itumbi’s case, not once or twice has he come off as the employers attack dog, biting and scratching only to be slumped with a dismissal.

Poor soul!

Saumu Mbuvi’s made a grand entrance at JKUAT graduation square yesterday!

Sonko surely spent millions on his daughter’s graduation; from hiring top cream singers to entertain her daughter at her graduation party to flying her like a president to JKUAT graduation square.

Three choppers picked Saumu Mbuvi, her siblings and her parents at their palatial house in Mua Hills and flew them all the way to JKUAT for Saumu’s graduation.

The graduation girl and her family were once again flown back home in the three choppers when the graduation ceremony was over.

A few months ago, there was a rumor that Octopizzo had sired a child with a woman named Martha who works for a leading multinational bank.

Something which caused tension between him and his wife and allegedly led to a ferocious fight that saw Octopizzo run away from their apartment near Nakumatt junction.

Octopizzo downplayed the story and accused the writer of the story of trying to trend and gain mileage using his name.

The rumor gained a new lease on life after he posted a photo with a small boy captioned: “Eye Conversations with Le Champ#kids #Son #daddysboy #jr #8town.”

Efforts to find out if the child was Octopizzo by the Nairobian were met with “Must it be mine? What if he is just a relative?”

During an interview with Kiss TV’s Jeff Mote and Chipukeezy, Huddah revealed that Wahu used to look down upon her when she started out in the industry as a dancer.

“So many celebrities in Kenya looked up down upon me, sana sana Nameless and Wahu. Kwanza Wahu sana sana.” Huddah said as she divulged how Wahu rejected her as a dancer an called her ‘unqualified’ .

President Uhuru’s adopted son has turned out to be a celeb with swag just like his other first family siblings!

Daniel Owira popularly known as Otonglo was adopted by President Uhuru in 2014 after his play swept the head of state off his feet.

Otonglo became an instant celeb and the new title “the president’s son” further made him a darling of many.

Otonglo was recently seen using a 2G dual sim KadudaSelfie phone. KadudaSelfie phone which is the ‘smartest’ feature phone, has become the alternative phone for many majorly because of its long lasting battery.

After this restructure many people are already losing their jobs, including QTV’s Ken Wariahe.

Huddah doesn’t necessarily fly abroad to see sponsors, the socialite has finally found her prince charming who’s young and energetic.

Actually Huddah has settled for an athlete as a boyfriend. She’s dating a footballer playing in English Premier League.

Speaking on Kiss FM, Huddah revealed her boyfriend was a footballer who plays for a big club in EPL, but she said he wasn’t Wanyama.

Getting fired from Presidential Strategic Communication Unit (PSCU) was just an additional salt to Itumbi’s injuries!

Dennis Itumbi was fired from his post as the director of digital innovations and diaspora communications in office of the President a few hours after Uhuru returned home from his trip to Botswana.

Prior to the firing, Dennis Itumbi was experiencing another headache caused by New York Times’ James Verini.

Verini associated Itumbi with witness interference in the collapsed cases that involved Ocampo Six at International Criminal Court (ICC), in an article he wrote dubbed The Prosecutor and the President.

A vexed Itumbi demanded New York Times to offer him an apology and to retract his name from the ICC case.

Of course New York Times is not a briefcase blog that would bulge to Itumbi’s threats.

Itumbi has however promised a major showdown in court following New York Times’ decision not to comply with his demands. He has vowed to sue them to the last court.

Sonko’s first daughter Saumu Mbuvi graduated yesterday from JKUAT and The Nairobi Senator went out of his way to make sure his daughter had a memorable graduation party.

She graduated from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) with a degree in mass communication.
