The reason why she shot herself is partly explained on the suicide notes she left behind a few hours before she took her own life.

The tragic death of 28-year-old police corporal Gaudencia Mwausi raised questions as to why a cop who was just from leave committed suicide in line of duty.

The mystery surrounding Mwausi’s suicide has been explained partly by the suicide notes she left behind for her son.

Apparently the deceased was suffering from severe despondency and dejection, as evident with the suicide notes she left behind on Whatsapp and Facebook.

“Life is so difficult wen u live in a world here, everybody is planning evil against u and wat happens wen u cant hold it anymore and no more strength to support the few people who love and cherish u???u are left with no other option other than…..so help me God.” The deceased wrote on her Facebook.

She wished her son well in life on a Whatsapp post;

“My sweet baby may you grow while blessed, always remember mum loves you.”

These notes were posted hours before Mwausi committed suicide in a toilet at JKIA.

Suspended Athletics Kenya (AK) President Isaiah Kiplagat passed on yesterday at the age 72. Isaiah who had been at the helm of AK for 24 years, died at his home in Karen at around 10:30 am, he had been diagnosed with cancer. 53-year-old Simon Muthee Ritho was arrested when police recovered the Land Rover Freelander which is valued at Kes 6 million.

The suspect was presented in court where his case was heard. The prosecution revealed the total value of the property Simon stole from Peter Kenneth’s wife amounted to Kes 6,312,000.

The court failed to deliver a ruling on the suspect’s bond pushing the case to Friday 26th August. Simon remains in police custody till the ruling on his bond is determined.

He won a silver medal in the men’s marathon at the recently concluded Olympics, but what he did at the finish line had the state owned Ethiopian media blacking out part of his win.

Feyisa Lilesa crossed his arms above his head (X) as he ran towards the finish line. An anti-government  gesture that is being made by the Oromo people as a sign of protest for the vicious police crackdown on the Oromo people which has led to the death of more than 400 people since November.

My relatives are in prison and if they talk about democratic rights they are killed.”

A female corporal officer attached to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) has today morning taken her own life in a bizarre circumstance.

Gaudencia Mwausi was found dead with a bullet hole on her head in a toilet at JKIA. The body of the 28-year-old police officer was discovered by a cleaner in early hours of the morning.

Reports indicate the deceased locked herself in a toilet at JKIA before she blew her brains to the wall. Her death is a baffling mystery to many given that she had just returned to duty from leave.

Many initially thought she committed suicide because of work related stress but this theory was nullified when it was reported that she was fresh from leave.

Corporal Mwausi reportedly left her colleagues in the radio room and went to the toilet where she took her own life.

Many Kenyans were rightly shocked when news came in fast that former president Mwai Kibaki had been admitted in hospital first at Karen and then flown over to South Africa for specialized care.

Given the minimal news from the president’s family and medical team, a lot was left to conjecture and it resulted in many people online announcing the death of the former president. Finally it was revealed that the former president was admitted at the Netcare Sunninghill Hospital in Johannesburg which specializes in cardiology procedures.

It was then revealed that the former president had suffered a minor stroke which was the third one. The experts at the hospital quickly located a blood clot in his body and they have Kibaki scheduled for an operation to remove it. The president is reported to be in a better and stable condition and the clot is not on a sensitive part of the body.

Indonesia is one of the Asian nations where drug trafficking is a capital offense that attracts death penalty. Drug traffickers know the risk but the allure of easy money keeps motivating some crazy people to smuggle drugs into countries that execute drug traffickers.

Nigerian Izuchukwu Felix Ezimoha was recently executed in Indonesia after he was arrested for smuggling heroin into the Asian country.

The Indonesian government was kind enough to allow Felix’s family to pick his body for a decent burial back in Nigeria.

Before his death, Felix signed the “Painful Exit Of A Hero” invitation card on behalf of the family, stating that no gunshot or masquerade was to be allowed before and during the burial.

The 35 year old drug trafficker was buried on Thursday, August 18^th in his compound in his Ezigbo village, Anambra state, Nigeria.

The burial was some sort of a carnival that witnessed people dancing around while carrying the casket of the deceased before it was put in the grave.

Eric Omondi is head over heels in love to one pretty Kenyan–Italian girl by the name Chantal Grazioli.

Jemima Sumgong touched down at Moi Air Base like the real baus! KDF accorded her a presidential-like treat.

Jemima Sumgong won Kenya its first ever Olympic gold in women’s marathon. The closet Kenya had come to winning gold was in Athens and Beijing Olympics in 2004 and 2008 when the great Catherine Ndereba won silver.

An MCAs fight in Nyeri ended up injuring a female nation journalist covering the event.

The MCAs were fighting over a motion to impeach the current governor Nderitu Gachagua. Trouble started when a group of MCAs accosted one of the colleagues opposed to the impeachment of the governor. They grabbed and exchanged words forcing the cornered MCA to fight back.

As the scuffle and commotion ensued, the MCA for Mukurwe-ini spotted a Nation journalist taking photos and rushed at her grabbing her arm. He twisted her arm trying to wrestle the camera from her. Other journalists screamed prompting the intervention of the guards at the assembly.

Caster Semenya won her first Olympic gold in women’s 800m in Rio in a race where Kenya’s Margaret Wambui finished third.

Semenya won her country’s second gold in Rio and South Africans reciprocated with a heroic welcome for the athlete when she touched down in Jo’burg.

Semenya has been a controversial figure in athletics because of her physical appearance. The South African runner was subjected to humiliating gender tests back in 2009 after media controversy over her “abnormally” high testosterone level for a female athlete.

Semenya who is chromosomally female, is believed to have a rare hyperandrogenist intersex condition that leads to the production of more testosterone than usual.

Semenya married her longtime girlfriend, Violet Ledile Raseboya, in 2015 in a traditional wedding ceremony that was held in their home province of Limpopo.

Violet was at the airport in Jo’burg to welcome home her ‘husband’ when she touched. Semeya slipped past the fans who mobbed her at the airport to reach her wife and handed her the Olympic gold she won.

The two lovebirds drove away for merrymaking after mingling with fans at the airport.

The launch comprised of different stake holders in the golf industry as well as the Tee at 1000 Golf company. The company is changing the whole idea of golfing to the nation, some of the influential personalities that graced the occasion was Big Ted, Nonini, Wyre,Frasha , Alex the blogger, Joe Muchiri,Kalekye Mumo,Kenzo,  Shaffie Weru, Scott the violinist,Nelson aseka,Vivian,Owago,Bigpin,dj Guchy  amongst others. The celebs were dressed for the event in nice polo shirts and neat khaki pants.

The C.E.O  of  Tee at 1000 golf, Moses Mutothori said “Golf is for everyone, it is not only for the men but also for women and children”. The C.E.O of TVC ,Maurice Okoth  added that the  launch is a great opportunity for people to exercise, network and have fun at the same time and encouraged people to register both adults and children. He further added that there will be a celebrity golf tournament on the September 17^th at Railways golf club.

The purpose of the event was to reintroduce the game of golf in a fun and hip way that the youth can easily identify and connect with bring out role models from the game of golf as well as making golf accessible to all  in terms of the materials needed when training and provide a business friendly environment for entrepreneurs.’

Zari Hassan and the Wema Sepetu have had a long standing rivalry that seemed destined to last ages.

EFC which stands for Entertainment with Fun for Charity was the brainchild of Genge artist Nonini for the love of basketball. Together with friends and personalities from across the entertainment sphere, they purpose to raise funds during each tournament for the betterment of the less fortunate in the society.

 SportPesa came on board in support of the sport in order to further develop basketball by nurturing and encouraging players to exude exceptional skills. The basketball tournament brings together teams to compete, with the winning team pocketing half of the prize money. The other half goes to a charity course of their choice, from the many proposals they receive.

 The third edition of the SportPesa EFC Basketball tournament was dedicated to Maji Mazuri Children’s Centre. The home takes care of mentally, physically challenged orphans and vulnerable children.

It is currently home to 51 children, 31 of whom are mentally challenged and 20 orphaned. They are in schools across the country and are aged between 4 to 18 years old.

 The last tournament which was held at the Nyayo National Stadium raised a total of Kshs 153,000 which went into painting the interiors, purchasing fire extinguishers and buying toys for the playground.

The SportPesa Team accompanied by well-wishers and EFC representatives embarked on the painting project last week. They completed the task over the weekend giving the Children’s home a facelift conducive for the growth and development of the children.

The tournament aims to touch as many lives across the country through basketball which is a darling sport to many. Currently it is held every last weekend of the month attracting teams from various institutions and estates to battle it out for the top prize and accolades.

So far the reception has been incredible with fans supporting the tournament and participating to be part of the noble cause.

It also seeks to produce top basket ballers who may one day represent the country in the Olympics and major global leagues.
