GHAFLA EXCLUSIVE: Bamboo And Joey Muthengi Dating!

Ghafla is known for firsts and we have an exclusive for you! And it regards Bamboo who was tweefing with Octopizzo just yesterday! But today he’s in the headlines for all the right reasons.

A little birdie close to the beautiful Joey Muthengi whispered in the wind that Joey Muthengi (who also happens to be Holy Dave’s sister and former Capital FM “Hits Not Homework” before leaving to pursue other interests) is dating Bamboo.

i was skeptical at first but then we got a photograph of the two arm in arm and it seemed legit. We have attempted to call Joey Muthengi for a confirmation but we have been unable to reach her seeing as it’s still early in the morning.

But what do you think? Does the couple look good together? I think they do!

Read her clarification on the story about her being dumped here.

Artcaffe Owner On Capital FM Defending Himself!

The Artcaffe MD is currently at Capital right now seeking to defend himself and his company against racism accusations! And he has declared that Artcaffe is a Kenyan company with a Kenyan family!

The Artcaffe MD was on air attempting to clarify the air on what happened and he also sought to allay fears about racism claiming that everyone who patronizes his establishment will be treated with respect and they can come out to enjoy their hard earned money.

The MD has insisted that Artcaffe is fully Kenyan as it embraces even the staff’s family members thus Artcaffe transcends being a company and is a family. anyone with questions should follow the show then get back to Ghafla!Kenya as we’ll have the lowdown for everyone!

Woman Calls Classic FM To Say That She Would Pay Hitmen To Kill Her Husbands!

I am in a state of shock! I cannot believe what I have been listening to! Maina Kageni brought up the case of a woman (Faith Wairimu) who hired undercover flying squad police officers and paid them a deposit of 40,000/- kshs and asked them to kill her husband and they would receive the balance of  60,000/- when the job was done.

She was arrested. She has pleaded guilty to the charge. And Maina wanted to know whether this was a single isolated case or women out their wanted to see their husbands dead. And the calls started rolling in! Women called in to say that indeed, while some wouldn’t try to proactively do something about it, they would enjoy seeing their husbands lying dead.

One particular caller explained that she has been married for 8 years and was a virgin at the time of her wedding. And inspite of this fact, her husband has taken to gallivanting around town with a mistress. she said that she would love to see him die as a result!

Another caller said she had gone to a witchdoctor to see about offing her husband! She went to find out how to do so but because she couldn’t find any willing to aid her, she didn’t pay! Isn’t this a confession of conspiracy to commit murder? Were the police listening? She has confessed on national radio her intent to have her husband killed!

No wonder some wanted Maina and King’ang’i censored! Read about that here.

Na wa for us! I go no drink shekpe now! Never! If I no be high now wettin I go hear and see when shekpe mek I high?

20th June 2013: Ten Things You Should Know This Morning

Today is the day after Baba Ghafla opened a can of worms no… That doesn’t even begin to cover it. Today is the day after Oga Big ripped open Pandora’s box claiming that Artcaffe doesn’t need Kenyans of African descent -basically indigenous African people patronizing their establishment and everyone went bananas. Don’t worry, as a Pan-Africanist, Uncle Chim Tuna has to get a word in -my ancestors demand it of me.

But before we digress, allow me to say that there are more mellow stories you need to know about that are causing ripples in the Kenyan entertainment industry. And they are:

KUMBE KUMBE: Demarco Was Doing Sex Dances With Ladies From All Over His African Tour!(PHOTOS + VIDEO)

When we broke the news of Demarco dry humping a Kenyan girl till her miniskirt came off, we thought that it was a special occurrence.

Then we reported about yet another incident where Demarco was doing a rather provocative dance, akin to f0rnication with another lady from Mombasa, and perhaps that was the end of the story.

But alas! It was not! I have dug up evidence that Demarco was up to his sex-dance shenanigans with ratchet women from ALL over Africa! Of course being the excellent servant I am, I saw fit to make a video compilation of all these romps for your viewing pleasure. BUT FIRST, some photos for those of you who don’t have bundles:

The audio version of the song has also been made available for free download at the Kenyan Music distribution website, Mdundo.com. Sauti Sol explains; “We are really happy with the new video just released 12 hours ago, the response has been overwhelming. Sauti Sol’s music is for everyone to enjoy and we are tired of fans not being able to get our music. We therefore hope that everyone will enjoy Still The One as a free high quality download from Mdundo.com”.

The video of the slow jam was shot in Nairobi city and features regular yet charming couples, depicting young love blossoming from primary school to university and beyond. In the song, Sauti Sol equates their fans to their own love interest with simple yet intricate lyrics praising them for ‘still being the ones’, years on.

Produced by Ulopa Ngoma and Sauti Sol, “Still the One” is yet another original stamp of Sauti Sol’s harmonious ballads; flaunting the band’s celebrated articulate song-writing skills and story-telling abilities. All this is blended in Bien-Aime’s perfect falsetto amidst Chimano and Delvin’s rich harmonization in catchy instrumentals directed by Polycarp’s rhythmic lead guitar.

THE BRUTAL HONEST TRUTH: ArtCaffe Doesn’t Need Black People To Stay In Business

So Habida has kicked off a social media storm by commenting on the poor service she got at ArtCaffe recently.

She complained about how her chicken wings had been chewed and soon enough, confessions started cropping up all over social media about racist service at the restaurant. Well, the cold, hard truth is that ArtCaffe does not need black people for their business model to run.

Pass by any ArtCaffe branch, and the racial ‘imbalance’ will be obvious to you. It’s mainly populated with white people, and this is not by accident, it is by design. Artcaffe is a place where minorities in Kenya go to be together amongst themselves in cultural settings familiar to what they have back home. It’s like those shops in diaspora that serve ugali and chapo. Kenyans abroad flock to them because they want that nostalgic feeling. It is well known that European and American people have a serious coffee culture. Lots of people from those areas find it difficult to start their day without imbibing on a cup of the most bitter coffee they can find. When they come to Kenya, they want coffee joints like what they have back home, where they can pop in and grab a quick  ‘cuppa.’ As long as Artcaffe remains the best place where white Europeans and Americans can get that, then they will be in business. For every one Mwafrika who boycotts the place, ten Wazungus will sign up. Business as usual. I honestly don’t think this social media stumble will affect ArtCaffe much, but still, they needn’t be so blunt about their customer preferences. Political correctness and all that.

As for the Kenyans who go to ArtCaffe, I think it should be a once in a while thing for them. To go and get a glimpse of the whole coffee culture. But to go their regularly is really just forcing the issue. The place was not designed for you and I. You’ll end up looking like one of those old men who force themselves to go to young people’s parties:

http://hw-static.worldstarhiphop.com/u/pic/2013/01/01/y6gtrefdswqsqwsqswsq.jpg

Just AWKWARD.

Personally though, I can never be spotted at one of these coffee taverns! I find coffee so disgusting and it boggles my mind how people force themselves to partake of such a bitter slime! I’m encouraging my fellow Kenyan entrepreneurs to leave this coffee pretense and set up classy joints serving sweet, Kenyan tea(yaani MAJANI) and I will be there like yesterday! Who’s feeling me on that vibe?

From street Urchin To Musician: Calif Records Made Me Suffer But I Will Still Press On!

Let’s pick up from where we left off. The story of Salim Khushi who had already endured alot but was in for some more tough times. He was a victim of P.E.V and though he survived, he has the scars to prove that he went through alot. Here is the second part of his story. And in this one he talks candidly about his experience at Calif records.

I happened upon a random simcard where i used to work at the police canteen  as a cook for the “mahabusu”. I picked it up hoping it had some airtime in it but it hadnt any, just contacts. That was a blessing! That is where I found some names of Jua kali, Josphat Odipo(Citizen) and Philip Muchiri.

At this time, the men at the canteen had started mistreating me (or so i felt). Plus I felt I had no freedom to walk from studio to studio so I could not even trace calif records leave alone Jua Kali. I left the place and went back to Nakuru but to my surprise the man who had brought me up was no more. He had died during the Post Election clashes and I couldn’t go back to the streets even though I knew alot of people there because I felt I had a new life. So i begun to comunicate with Jua Kali. I told him about my music talent he told me that it was next to impossible for him to help me while I’m in Nakuru so I had to come to Nai.
as fate would have it, Clemmo had just taken Mejja in so I thought coming to Nai will ease things for me. I naively thought they would provide accommodation, food and everything else I’d need. I thought it was a big deal and I was now a celeb. To my surprise when I came and got directions to Calif, things were not as I expected.
Jua Kali didn’t know me anymore and directed me to Clemmo who in turn refered me to a guy by the name of alpha Msanii and thats where my misery started. The other artist saw the uchokoraa in me and I hated myself. Everytime I’d go to the studio, Alpha told me to come back the following day and when I came other artist -who were actually paying for their songs to be produced- were on the queue while I wanted a favor.
I waited for like 4 days without anything and every night I would go back to sleep in cartons on the streets. Nobody can ever know what I went through. I kept it secret because all I wanted was to do a song and I didn’t want anything to potentially damage this opportunity. But alas, my dreams never came to fruition and I gave up.I had no place to sleep, no cash and i was hungry yet all I used to do was waste time outside the studio waiting for the uncaring producer. I left and vowed never to come back to the place and that’s a promise I’ve never broken.

After the Calif saga I went to look for a job in Industrial area. I had no i.d and no certificates so the only option was as a casual labourer. I went back to doing what I know and that’s cooking in a cafe. I saved up till I got enough to rent a house and started life in Nairobi. I didn’t visit any music studio after that for about 3 months then later found a studio in Eastleigh (Esili) called Madiwa records where I did my 1st song that I paid for back in 2011 January.
When it was played on Ghetto FM by Man Wazimu I was so gratefull that I decided to do the 2nd song called MASKINI. The song was loved by many and I met another producer who did the song and video ask Man Wazimu and he will tell you the song led his chart for like 9 weeks. Here is the video though it was poorly done for lack of cash. After that i did other songs with Madiwa until I met Shaki of Mandugu digital. I have been working with him since then.

Tujuane Goes International, Features A Foreign Lady On The Show (Video)

After featuring drama queens and ladies with ratchet behaviour, last night reality dating show that organizes dates for random singles on the street, Tujuane, featured a foreign lady.

Episode 28 of the show was billed as one of the best episodes the show had put forth. The show featured an American lady who lives in Maryland, US.  The Kenyan man on the show was Tukym. He is a businessman who deals in footwear and clothing.

The theme of the show(Tujuane) was perfectly illustrated; the lady was humble,down to earth, friendly and very appreciative. She gave our Kenyan ladies a lesson or two on how to behave during a date and was involved in the whole thing.The man on the other hand was real and acted responsibly like a real gentleman.

Miranda is a fashion blogger at My LifeStyle Mude which is a blog she created in conjunction with Tujuane’s hostess Yvonne. In the US she does digital sales.

This Meltdown Is Set To Bring Splash Back To Life

Long before smart phones became a staple among Kenyans, people actually used to party, for real.

They used to dance, laugh and mingle with strangers. Not anymore. I am not saying people don’t have fun. People actually have fun but they also spend as much time on their QWERTY keyboards. On Twirra and Facebook. And instead of actually having fun, they just take pretty photos of them pretty selves and post them online and say how they are having fun while they are actually alone and feeling lonely and miserable.

But people remember. They remember the early 2000’s. They think of the fun, of Sepetuka, of Unplugged and other themed parties. They remember of MTV bashes. Of raving until you actually realize the sun has risen and other “normal” people are already up and onto their chores.When you are actually still drunk in the morning and are hangovered at three in the afternoon. When partying was partying and not a chance to show off unless you are drinking your friends under the table or making rings around them on the dance floor.

Well, if you remember that. It is back. It is here. Simple, neat and classy but sophisticated too. You will tweet alright, you will Facebook too. But whatever you will tweet and update will be the truth, and the truth will be awesome. Reintroducing the unstructured and still orderly embodiment of the partying spirit is The Meltdown that will be going down on the 29th of this month at Splash. It will be a party, not an event. A party of DJ’S and their turntables, of rocking, of dancing and of memories.Of remembering what Homeboyz and the like used to do but now presented in better light, better way.

When PR guys say that an event will be fun galore, I normally take that as a sign that whatever the event will be, they don’t even know. But in this case, when I say fun galore, I am simply saying that there will be plenty stuff that I cannot capture all in words. Therefore, let me use this term for its intended purpose, it will be fun galore. A night of variety, of adventure, of abandon and laughter.

So you can carry your phone, but make sure you are smarter than that smart phone. You can come with friends, scratch that, come with your friends but make sure you are the friendliest of the lot. You can also rock your best shoe but make sure it is your best dancing shoe. But after all these, remember you are coming to party. Till the 29th. Advance tickets are available at 30% off here: http://ghafladeals.com/themeltdown

Big Brother Update: Housemates Open Up About The Hardship They Face At Home

Last evening, a month after their entry into Big Brother – The Chase, housemates Nando, Bimp, Hakeem and Bolt opened up about the dire situation back at home as they sat together outside in the garden. Some stories were too sad to hear though.

Bimp

Ethiopian housemate Bimp told his fellow Housemates how hard his life was back at home and how tired he was of begging for money from friends and family just to make ends meet. His dream is to be so rich that his mother can be chauffeur driven anywhere she wants to go.

Hakeem

Hakeem started listing how many pieces of furniture he has in his room and that most of it stands on cardboards. Hakeem has had to learn how to fend for himself from a very young age and he now doesn’t want his mother to suffer because of him. Who would’ve thought this young, hot model was going through tough times back home?

BoltThe resident bully, Bolt even parted some sound advice about how to rise above your struggles as a man and how things will always work for good if you keep your hustle going. He admitted to living a very luxurious life, with a lot of money and cars but he went through a lot and now life has humbled him tremendously.

It’s nice to see that the Diamond men can impart sound advice to one another in an attempt to strengthen each other.

Artcaffe Bigotry Allegations Rekindles Past Mischiefs About The Joint

Apparently, coffee and bakery outlet, Artcaffe is not new to controversies. Apart from the racism allegations, there are reports that employees at the highend joint earn a paltry KSh10,000 a month. That aside, two years ago, a Kenyan lady who lives abroad had a bad experience at Artcaffe.

This is Becky Karanja’s story;

On Saturday 10th December 2011 at 2.21pm, I met my Business Partner and Her friend at the Artcaffe in Junction Nakumatt Mall, Nairobi, Kenya. This was my first time to visit this establishment.

My Business Partner and I sat at a separate table from her friend as we were discussing our business.

After an hour, we paid for our drinks and snacks and left Artcaffe. We then went to the basement where I had packed my new Audi A4 to show them some handbags I had brought from London for my Business Partner. As they both looked at them (in my boot), 2 big burly men appeared from nowhere and asked us in very intimidating tones what we were doing. Before I could even answer those 2 KK Security men and a tall older looking Middle East man materialized. At this point I thought that we were either being car jacked or something was very wrong.

The 3 of us were shaken and wondering what was going on, I quickly explained that I was showing my 2 friends my new handbags. The Middle East man asked me to lock the boot and come aside. I did as he asked and my friends were standing on one side of the car and I was standing on the other with the Middle East man.  He explained to me that we were suspected of stealing a hand bag and laptop from Artcaffe and they had CCTV footage proving this.

When I looked at him in disbelief, and asked him if we could go and see the CCTV footage he agreed. At this point 5 more KK Security men appeared and we were frog marched all the way to the Artcaffe. When we got there I demanded to see the CCTV footage, the Middle East man again pulled me aside and told me that I was not a suspect and that it was my business partner’s friend who was. I told him that if that was the case I still wanted to see the footage and that I could not leave them.

After much confusion of whom had the footage, a short Middle East man accompanied by 2 Middle East women came with a laptop and the older tall Middle East man asked us to go to a handbag shop opposite Artcaffe to see the footage.  When we got there, they then refused to show us the footage and told us that we were free to go. The old Middle East Man explained that it was a case of mistaken identity and that the handbag and laptop (which belonged to a tourist) had been stolen on 5th of December 2011.(please note, the 3 of us were not even in Nairobi on this date).

I looked at the elderly Middle East man in disbelief and asked him if he was the owner of Artcaffe, of which he vehemently denied that he was NOT and that he was a shop owner at the Mall and that we was trying to ‘assist’ us and the Artcaffe solve this issue. At this point a crowd of people and more KK Security had gathered round us.

I then confirmed with him again if we were free to go as we were not the suspects and he categorical said YES!

Disgusted and tired of the whole ordeal I asked my friends we leave and file a complaint later for this harassment.

As we approached the main exit/entrance of the Junction Mall, 5 KK Security men, stopped us and told us we were still suspects and that we should wait for the police to come.

artcaffe-nairobi.jpg

I could not believe this nonsense, a Commander appeared in a KK Security Car with 3 other Security guards and blocked the exit/entrance and surrounded us and told us that we could not leave. I explained to him what had transpired in the last 1hour.

He then told me that the Elderly Middle East man was actually the owner of Artcaffe and that he had told the KK Security that he did NOT want Kikuyus (a major tribe in Kenya) in his premises as they are thieves and that he was 99% sure my business partner and her friend resembled the suspects in the video footage.

At this point it dawned on me that my business partner and her friend were not dressed according to the Artcaffe standard and they did not fit the so called urban chic criteria that can afford a meal at the Artcaffe. And I had been left out as I looked the part and drove an Audi A4!

The most ironic thing is that my Business Partner owns a very big NGO in Kenya that is supported by very many affluent people including 10 businessmen whose businesses are listed on the New York Stock Exchange!

To cut the long horrible ordeal short, we waited for 1.30 Hours for the Police to come, the police saw the footage of which they said that it was so unclear that one could not see the faces of the thief that stole on the 5th of December 2011(Please note it was only 1 thief not 3!)

We went to the nearest Police station (Muthangari Police Station) and wrote statements (although the Police insisted I was not a suspect) but I insisted on doing one as I do NOT Trust Artcaffe. The reason is that if the Owner can Lie to us with a straight face what can he do if given the chance???

My friend I urge you to please boycott this establishment that harasses innocent Kenyans, Racist, Classist  and I strongly believe that we do not need foreigners (who we welcome with open hearts) to insight tribal HATRED in a Country that is only getting over the last Post Election Violence as we approach another Election.

Chiwawa Weighs In On The Bamboo, Octopizzo, Khaligraph Jones Beef!

Octopizzo is on the receiving end of tweets by Kenyan hiphop pioneer and luminary Chiwawa and manager Braso Smallz. They have even taken the comparison between Octopizzo and Khaligraph Jones a notch higher by comparing them to modern day rappers.

And in the comparison, Braso smallz has asserted that Octopizzo is more 2 Chainz-esque while Khaligraph jones is more J. Cole. And I doubt that Octopizzo will like to be associated with the ATL rapper who I think not only dumbed down but overall sold out to gain mainstream acceptance going as far as changing his moniker to “fit in”.

Here is how their conversation went:

Chiwawa254  Chiwawa254 @Chiwawa254

@Braso_smallz: First of all, when it comes to @OCTOPIZZO vs @khaligraph – Both of them have a Fan base in the 254…..”

Chiwawa254  Chiwawa254 @Chiwawa254

@Braso_smallz: But if you know @OCTOPIZZO , he doesn’t back down easily. He’s a fighter. He’s a Man.”

Chiwawa254  Chiwawa254 @Chiwawa254

@Braso_smallz: As for @khaligraph , his Music speaks for itself. Mr. Jones is a Beast. One of the realest doing it right now in the 254.”

Chiwawa254  Chiwawa254 @Chiwawa254

@Braso_smallz: Lyrically, @Khaligraph makes more sense than @OCTOPIZZO . Hiphop heads say AMEN :)”

Chiwawa254  Chiwawa254 @Chiwawa254

@Braso_smallz: But as for me, @TheRealBamboo is too Legendary to waste his time dissing @OCTOPIZZO – think about it yoh!!”

Chiwawa254  Chiwawa254 @Chiwawa254

@Braso_smallz: Lyrically @OCTOPIZZO & @khaligraph are cuts from different Fabrics… KHALI is god in this thing of ours, 254 Hiphop!!”

Chiwawa254  Chiwawa254 @Chiwawa254

@Braso_smallz: Whoever knows what REAL HIPHOP is wouldn’t refer to @OCTOPIZZO as a HIPHOP Artiste.”

♫ ™BORN SINNER™ ♫  ♫ ™BORN SINNER™ ♫ @Braso_smallz

Yes, @Khaligraph is a better rapper than @OCTOPIZZO

♫ ™BORN SINNER™ ♫  ♫ ™BORN SINNER™ ♫ @Braso_smallz

@OCTOPIZZO is like @2chainz, @khaligraph is like @JColeNC, Get my drift?

♫ ™BORN SINNER™ ♫  ♫ ™BORN SINNER™ ♫ @Braso_smallz

Much Respect to SIMON @TheRealBamboo – Still relevant in this thing of ours. The African with the Rover Land!! #AfricanBantu

Artcaffe Finally Apologizes

In an attempt to save its already tarnished image, Artcaffe’s management has come out to offer its apologies to the affected party and put the record straight after yetsterday’s allegations of racism published by Ghafla!. This comes just hours after the Junction Mall branch of the coffee and bakery outlet distanced itself from the racism allegations.

Responding directly to Koki Mutua, the sister of the guy who was allegedly arrested by the diplomatic police for “buying many croissants and FOR BEING BLACK” the management tried to explain that the cafe could not handle “his large order”. The management however remained silent about the racism claims that led Koki’s brother being taken into custody.

Here’s the apology;

“Hello Koki Mutua, sorry for your brothers [brother’s] experience at our Village [Village Market] branch. we do not have preferential treatment to anyone, and we are sorry if your brother felt this way. Our bakery simply could not handle his larger order, because we pre-bake the amounts for each day, but arrangements were made and his order was provided. The requirement to order in advance with our bakery is a policy we maintain with all our customers. We would be happy to meet with you both to speak over this issue in detail. Please contact us at management@artcaffe.co.ke. Please know that you are a highly valued customer. Again, our apologies for the misunderstanding.”

artcaffe_apologizes.png

However, Koki is not satisfied with this explanation because she feels the issue has not been addressed to a conclusive end. Her queries are;

a) Is there a notice at the counter instructing clients to pre-order more than 8 croissants?

b) As a big as the backery is, why does one have to pre-order 8 croissants?

c) What does being BLACK have to do with croissant orders?

Meanwhile, Nairobi Java House has taken shots at Artcaffe over the croissants issue. Check out that HERE.

Boniface Mwangi Ready To Protest The Artcaffe Racism Incident But Only If…

Boniface Mwangi is a brave lad. That has never been up for debate. He has taken on the MPigs and did so with filthy pig blood -yes, pigs are filthy creatures disgusting enough to eat their young. But that’s not the point!

What is is the fact that the racism issue may prove to be Artcaffe’s Waterloo! Racism in an african country against the indegenes? How Preposterous! If the allegations are tru, they might well see Kenyans forming in large hordes and protesting against the racism and with Boniface Mwangi loaning his organization skills, such militant action could very well tear down Artcaffe!

Boniface Mwangi has said that he will indeed lend his services to the cause of fighting the sheer nonsense and irony of this alleged incident but only if KENYANS ON TWITTER grow a pair, strap on their boots and take the initiative themselves.

Boniface Mwangi, the thorn in Parliament’s side will give all the help he possibly can but only if KOT get off twitter and take the protest to Artcaffe Village Market! here is the tweet in question:

Lo And Behold! Java House Takes Advantage of The Artcaffe Drama

In a rather unexpected move, Nairobi Java House has taken shots at its competitor Artcaffe that’s already facing hostility because of racism allegations. While others view it as taking advantage of the situation at hand, it’s purely business at the end of the day.

Moments ago, the renowned middle class coffee house posted a tweet mocking the Artcaffe misfortune while marketing itself.  “Why worry about croissants? Just walk in, walk out, 9, 10…or more croissants, visit any of our branches” read the tweet.

nairobi_java_house.png

This strategy appears to have worked because the tweet seems to have won the heart of Nairobians at least according to the tweets below;

@Liyan55: Sure thing RT @Nairobi_Java: Why worry about Croissants? Just walk in, walk out, 9, 10 or more Croissants, visit any our 18 branches

@JaazOdongo: Much-a-do about… Croissants. Oh well they might just be the most profitable pastry in Nairobi this week. Well done #Java & #Dormans

@@Edwin_munyiri: Hahaha touchè RT @Nairobi_Java: Why worry about Croissants? Just walk in, walk out, 9, 10… or more Croissants, visit any of our 18 branches

@LizzNjagah: @bankelele I haven’t stepped inside #artcaffe since @Nairobi_Java opened @ Westgate.. Service was a bit shaky in the beginning but improved

@JDocOdago: So much win “@Nairobi_Java: Why worry about Croissants? Just walk in, walk out, 9, 10… or more Croissants, visit any of our 18 branches”

Hmmm…talk about some serious marketing there.

Safaricom Ads Fans Strike Back

It seems now the battle for supremacy has shifted to Safaricom and Faiba fans. Yesterday, a Facebook page associated with Faiba internet connection fired the first salvo by trolling Safaricom’s internet data bundles by making a mockery of one of its TV advert.

This morning, Fans of Safaricom Adverts has made a counterattack and returned like for like after yesterday’s trolling. The page uploaded the photo below as a comeback;

ArtCaffe – Junction Distances Itself From The Racism Allegations

Yesterday there emerged allegations that coffee shop Artcaffe is racist. This coming from different people who have been to the coffee and bakery outlet at the Village Market, Gigiri and experienced the discrimination first hand. However, one of the branches of Artcaffe has come out distancing itself from the allegations.

Last evening, Artcaffe at the Junction Mall in a move to exonerate itself, dissociated with the claims and apologized to the affected customers. Responding to an article we wrote, the branch said,

“hi guys, we are officially apologizing for todays happenings and as well distancing our branch from all this. those that have visited our coffee shop know that we respect all our clients. Thank you!”

And later added;

“We will not be deleting any comments, request, curses and above all you concerns. To begin with, WE ARE NOT RACISTS AND NEVER WILL BE.we are all human, Kenyans and very very sorry for todays occurances. Those of you you who have been at artcafe junction can attest to this. we respect each and every one of our clients. we agree, we sometimes dont give 5star service to those that visit our shop but the we try. If we at any point thought or treated anyone like they didn’t matter, we are sorry. very sorry. about the story on social media,I the admin to this page, know nothing about it and we regret that such behavior would be happening at any of our brand shops. Kindly find it in your hearts to forgive us. Thank you.

art_caffe_coffee.jpg

However, disgruntled Kenyans did not accept the apology from the branch and instead wanted Artcaffe to own up.

Susan Muthi: You can distance yourself all you like. But your branch bears the name Artcafe. Kindly tell the public why your brand discriminates against African Kenyans in their own country?

Anwar Olango: Do not distance your branch,just own up and correct the mistake.It is not the first time this stuff is happening in your place.

Patrick Mukora: … the apology may seem genuine … this is not the first case of bigotry in your establishment … poor service we can understand …. in your face racial discrimination NO …. not in KENYA …

Habori Mamori: This is a false apology.You need to earn your respect back.Treat people like human beings.What happened today happens all the time at your establishment.Own up to it retrain your staff or get into another business.The customer is king!

Racism Against Kenyans In Kenya: More Light Shed On The Alleged Artcaffe Racism Issue

It is beginning to emerge that there seems to be systemic racism at Artcaffe. The allegations like a swollen river keep churning forth and now the bank is broken. The allegations of Kenyans (indigenous Kenyans) have been experiencing blatant racism while patronizing Artcaffe are pouring forth with more Kenyans beginning to share their stories. And you can read what Kenyan celebrities and opinion shapers had to say about the alleged disgusting display of racism against a tax paying Kenyan citizen.

Baba Ghafla came across a blog post that acts as a chronology of how a client was subjected to racism from management and reverse racism from the staff. And because I am unbelievably vexed at these allegations should there be any truth to them, I want to do my part in bringing the truth out to air.

But you read the blog post for yourself then you decide; racism or just misunderstood white management?

I first started blogging about the Art Caffe in Nairobi in June last year. I’m finally publishing the post. Now, this is less a ‘review’ more a ‘rant’. Let me explain. I’ve been to Art Caffe three times… All three times I’ve had a *bad* experience.
Friends had been going to the Art Caffe and seemed to enjoy the experience, when it opened, but it was always out of my way, so I never really bothered going there. So, the first time at the Westgate Mall, I decided to try it out. Here goes experience one:

First Experience: House Coffee is a Latte

This was during one the first #140 Conference. The service was prompt. I asked what I then thought was a pleasant waitress (this would change by the time I had left the establishment) for a latte. I was served standard house coffee. She apologized about it, said something about the machine.  I figured, oh well, I’m was going to be there for a short time, let me enjoy the coffee and the ambiance. So, I requested the bill which again promptly arrives, but it reads that I had a double latte (which is in excess of 200 bob), I tell her I had house coffee.  She then tells me that I had a ‘Double Latte’ and that it’s the same thing as house coffee. I explain the difference between the two to her and she simply says I don’t know what I’m saying they are the same thing, if I don’t want to pay, I should say so. The price difference was 100 bob, I was leaving, I let it slide.

Second Experience – Coffee is above 100 KES

A friend of mine started working at the Art Caffe and suggested that I should give them a second chance. One Sunday evening, in June, I chose to stop by for a quick meal & coffee. As I approached the place, I noticed that it seemed congested, I asked the waitress at the door for a seat, politely informing her that I will not have company, hence I needed space either at the bar or at a two seater table. She chose to ‘politely’ inform me that in said establishment, coffee was in excess of 100 KES, and that  I should bear that in mind. I responded by telling her that I was well aware of the pricing and that she should get a handle on her job, there is a menu if I needed to check pricing, I’m perfectly capable of reading. It later hit me that she actually had not listened to a word I was saying and probably was assuming I chose to speak to her to find out the pricing. I did go in, had a cappuccino, which I did not finish due to time constraints.

Experience 3 – Still not good enough

This particular issue got to their management and that weekend they requested me to come back for a ‘better experience’… Being rather open minded, I showed up the next Saturday. I was seated. Chose to work. Waited. For two odd hours, no service, the initial excuse was that they were having their morning team meeting and hence would get to me in a while. The meeting ended and every waiter I beckoned said they have gone to get me the ‘waiter responsible for my table’. I did place an order, eventually, but it never arrived. You can imagine my surprise when, a few min later, a European family came to order breakfast got roughly 3 waiters taking their orders (suddenly table responsibility was not an issue) and had their meal in roughly 17 min. While I sat. Idle. I left without as much as a blink from the staff…

I eventually figured it out, after speaking to a couple of their waiters I realised why. Apparently, it’s because I’m black… Yes… According to the waiters, Kenyan’s tip badly hence you don’t prioritize serving them, while the others tip well… My problem with such reasoning is that it perpetuates the myth, because, if the Kenyans are necessarily treated badly, they will not tip, because the service was poor. So it’s a nasty cycle. The management has been made aware of this, but they don’t seem to really care about it. On speaking to my friends, I found out that they all had had issues at one point or another with the Art Caffe, similar issues. These have been raised severally to their management but have fallen on deaf ears… I don’t know which I find worse, the persistent poor customer service that management ignores or the incorrigibly provincial thinking shown by their staff.

My suggestion? They should hang one of these at their door, that way, I’d have known not to bother…

From street Urchin To Musician: The Inspiring Tale Of An orphan Who Is Now An Artist

I have always said that success doesn’t depend on the cards dealt you by life. It’s about audacity and boldness. Dare to be! And no one has exemplified this more than Salim Khushi. And his story is rather remiscent to that of one of Kenya’s legends -the late Mighty King Kong. Have a read and be inspired by this tale of sheer determiunation in the face of desolation.

“Okay i cant remember the exact year day or month I was born but the thing is, I was born around 1986… If i may guess right. My mum comes from Tanzania and happened to come looking for the guy who she said was my daddy. She used to school with him: but to cut the long story short she ended up in street after the efforts of finding my daddy failed. She believed my daddy was a luo though some information I got from a man who knew her, the man was a luhya who used to sell sweets and cigarettes at the Nakuru bus stage. The emotional strain was too much for my mum who went had a mental breakdown and has never recovered since.

The guy named me Khushi (my mum was called Amina). And because it is said my daddy was called Salim, I was given the names Salim Khushi. I grew up on the street fortunately, I didn’t use glue, cigarettes or alcohol exept for one day when my fellow street boys coerced me into trying bang. Life was tough on the streets! I had to fend for myself from a young age so I decided to hassle. All my earnings came from plastics and scrap metals. And as fate would have it, I met a mzungu called Michael of Jesus is Lord radio. He had a project called Rescue Center in Langa Langa Nakuru where he used to shelter street boys and thats where I went.

Next, read about how he came to become an artist and the spite I endured at Calif Records.

19th June 2013: Ten Things You Should Know This Morning

Today is the 19th day of the coldest month of the year… Atleast from what the Met. Dept. are claiming but then again, what do they know? They had predicted a wet April and May and they were an extension of the dry season.
But looking to predict the furture is tricky business. so rather than look to the future, why don’t we look to the present? And in the present, these are the most popular stories in Kenya’s entertainment industry.

If you’re in campus and want to experience whether or not the grass is really greener on the other side, then you must be present at this year’s annual Mr. & Miss JKUAT Karen Beauty pageant!
JKUAT Karen campus is known to house the prettiest girls and hunks in the entire Jomo Kenyatta Agricultural University circuit… or so they say, so it made sense that they selected Actor/radio presenter turned rapper Nick Mutuma as the man to host the event.
Mr & Ms JKUAT shall take place tomorrow(Wednesday 19th of June) at the Carnivore, Langata and entry is Ksh 500.
Performing will be ‘The Swahili Shakespeare’ Kaka Sungura AKA Rabbit known for his ability to connect with his audience; expect nothing short of unforgettable. The event begins and 7:00pm until the wee hours of the morning and the event organizers, Smartron Limted say that precautionary measures have been put in place to insure that even rain doesn’t ruin your evening or outfits.
This will be one for the history books

From Habida To Robert Alai To A Foreign Restaurant Service Website: Allegations Of ArtCaffe’s Racism And Poor Service!

It would seem ArteCaffe is reknown the world over for blatant racism and the reputation is even in an international site that rates restaurants. The site called trip advisor actually warns travellers not to go to the restaurant unless they have the stomach for blatant racism.

And just to clarify, the man in question who is being accused of subjecting a Kenyan national and tax-paying citizen is not the owner Sagi but rather the branch manager Yaniv. I am however not sure who was involved because as of now the information we have received is rather sketchy. However, with that said, we have established that ArtCaffe has a reputation for being racist and treating black local clients like third rate clients.

TRIP_AFRICA.jpg

Habida says that her experience was just as bad as she ordered chicken and it was bitten into! Read about that here. Robert Alai has also taken up the crusade to expose ArtCaffe as a racist establishment and for once I can stand to be counted with KOT. I am proud of how they have been galvanized by an alleged injustice to one of their own.

Women Throw Themselves At Former Ugandan Representatives in Big Brother At A Club in K’la(Photos)

Uganda representatives to the Big Brother -The Chase seem to be enjoying their lives out of the Big Brother house thanks to their newly acquired celebrity status after taking part in The Chase.

Though they were booted out of the big brother house in the first weeks of the chase, they made a mark back home. Last Thursday the boys were hot cake at Gatto Matto Restaurant & Garden Lounge, one of the coolest hang out joints in the heart of Uganda capital, Kampala.

The two were the main source of attraction at the lounge with a number of ladies struggling to have a one on one with them, now that’s what’s up. Check out the photos below;

Faiba Trolls Safaricom (Photo)

The fierce war for internet users in the market between Safaricom and Jamii Telecom Limited (JTL) might just have been sparked off by a photo released a Facebook page associated with JTL’s Faiba internet connection.

Well, am sure you’ve all watched the Safaricom’s latest series of commercials on TV promoting their data bundles and usage. If you haven’t, here’s one of ad;

{youtube}zHQBGSTYYxg{/youtube}

In the ad, there’s a guy who uses Safaricom’s internet on his mobile to work out by simulating the actions in the footage. Now, the Facebook page, Fans of Faiba Advert released the below photo as a troll to the Safaricom ad;

Is this is the new way of eliminating competition?

POLL: With Two Different Sides To The Botched Tarrus Riley Concert, Who Do You Believe? Tarrus Or Big Tunes Live?

There seems to be two very polar opposite sides to this story. And it pits Tarrus Riley on one hand and the promoters of the event, Big Tunes on the other. All that seems set in concrete for now is the fact that the concert was a flop and the revellers and reggae fans went rioting and mugging people in town.

But who is telling the truth? Could it be that indeed Tarrus Riley was telling the truth when he said he felt disrespected by the promoters who didn’t come to see him till the show had been scattered or were the promoters honest when they said that they still had 3 hrs to bring Tarrus Riley to perform and the fans were at fault for reacting as they did?

Have your say by voting in the poll and leave a colourful comment in the comment section.

Opinion Formers Weigh In On The Art Caffe Racial Allegations

Allegations have surfaced that Art Caffe is racist. First things first, Art Caffe is an upmarket cafe that offers full cocktail bar, coffee bar and bakery with branches in Westlands, Gigiri, Karen and the Junction Mall.

So early today a tweep (Koki Mutua), claimed that her brother was arrested by the diplomatic police after the owner of the outlet summoned them. Supposedly, the owner of the outlet could not let her brother buy as many croissants as he wished because “they were too many and HE’S BLACK!!!” and when he protested that’s when the cops were called.

art_caffe_allegedly.jpg

This incident got some of the opinion makers on Twitter to weigh in on the matter with some of them giving their personal bad experiences at the high-end cafe. Here are those;

Kohadha Roy Ogolla:

I’ve had two meetings at Art Caffe Westgate but the service was ok, I guess it was because I was meeting light skinned personalities in Jim Shamoon in one of those two meetings and later Bella Gabriella IsadoraAnnaOlivia Liv Rose DeYoung and Mette Nordvig.

I have however had an experience where a close friend refused to a meeting at Art Caffe citing two issues, POOR SERVICE and RACISM where she had to be moved from a seat simple because a white family had walked in and they needed a “larger table” yet there were free tables with a capacity of four, the number of the family.

When I saw the #RacistArtCaffe thing today, I smiled and mumbled, “someone took note at last” Well, #KOT are tearing the franchise apart, I hope the management get’s to know what’s happening and changes.

Habida:

So i took take away from Art cafe and in my wings that i was raruaing was a wing that the chef must have taken a nice bite out of. I feel like tapikaing what ive eaten. Yani what would you do if one of your wings had a bite taken out of it???????

Hilarious: KOT Respond To HELB’s SMS

So yesterday, the High Education Loans Board (HELB) sent text messages to Kenyans who had secured loans with the board to fund their campus fees. The text informed them that they could now pay their outstanding loans via the M-Pesa option.

“You can conveniently pay your outstanding HELB loan via M-PESA pay bill number 200800. Contact us on 0711052000/0711052306 for clarification,” read the SMS.

Followed by the notice below published in the dailies;

In their usual nature, the online community decided to make a mockery of the text message ignoring its gravity. This message was received by shock from the loanees; some of whom are yet to graduate from campus. There’s even a page on Facebook already called “University Students Against Helb Pressure”.

Gospel Artiste Confesses Being In Another Relationship While Married

It seems the season for confessions is upon us. Just days after born-again Citizen TV anchor opened up about his masturbation addiction and how God helped him overcome it, Gospel artist Zack Mtumishi has revealed how he was involved in another relationship while he was married.

Speaking to Uliza Links, Zack divulged the information in form of a testimony about his marriage which was at the divorce stage after a lot of issues came into play. Here’s his story as he told it to his pastor Prince Obasi – Ike (Regional Pastor of Redeemed Christian Church of God) in presence of wife, Damaris.

My life started 41 years ago when my late mother Susan Mugure Njau and the late Samuel Kinuthia gave birth to me together with 5 other brothers and a sister being the second last. One of my brother died in the same month with mum(June 1996).

I only saw my dad 3 times in my whole life with the first time during mum’s burial, during my brother’s funeral the same month, during my wedding day 4th December 1999, and in 2003 when I was called to pick him up in Naivasha home where he had gone to live with his mother after squandering everything he had with other families. I lived with my mum and always wished my family would be different from the one I lived in, little did I know it would be my portion!

I never saw it coming, never did I have a clue I’d take after my father who I really hated to an extent of not naming my firstborn son after him! I grew up knowing it was Godly to bring up a family together I did a big wedding in 1999 something that rally made me fear yet loved the feel of doing a very big wedding with a promise to myself and to my friends that Id live for 5 years before I got a kid a thing which didn’t materialize since after our honeymoon, my newly wedded wife whom I had shared with and knew my wish to get a kid later in our marriage got pregnant against my wish. I stayed with the bitterness which was occasioned by bitter exchange of words, which made her feel so insecure and bearing in mind there was nothing she would do to reverse the situation. On knowing it was inevitable to live with the fact that I was now a father, I named the son Symon (Son of Encouragement) because I couldn’t call him my fathers full name Samuel Kinuthia. This didn’t go far since God made me love the child with all my heart body and mind.

By this time, my relationship with my wife turned so sour and so bad that before we hadn’t even gone for a year, we had fought so often to the amazement of my neighbors who thought and took us as very serious born-again Christians. My wife would be very agitated by the way I treated her and she would respond to me in negative and to revenge this, we fought. All this time we were living in my uncle’s (mum’s brother) house who took responsibility over us after the death of my mother

Life became more and more unbearable which resulted to occasional living away from each other. This therefore brought the need for some other shoulders to lean on due to our ages and the need for revenge, we started engaging in illicit relationships with a justification that had the other not done this I wouldn’t have done the other.

The blame game continued and kept deteriorating our marriage to an extent that we wouldn’t even talk yet we were living in the same house! God never let these relationships to last and I can remember. Personally I never had a relationship for a year before He brought it into the light. Problems escalated making us leave my uncle’s house and went to Limuru where my grandfather (mum’s father) had bought her a piece of land and started living
there.

Here things deteriorated. I got a job with an NGO which sometimes duty called for me to go to visit schools out of Nairobi and would sometimes made it easy for each of us to have times away from each other which was to the advantage of both of us and for the detriment of our family.

It was during this time when we got our second born and around that time my father came to stay with us of which he didn’t stay with us for long and he died in my house when I was in one of the fieldwork trips. It is now I remember how i used to quarrel him telling him if it was mum who was sick Id not complain even washing her after messing on herself.

At one time, my wife told me she wasn’t feeling well after coming home late and told me she was in a hospital in Marie Stopes in Kangemi due to what she termed as miscarriage of a 3 months pregnancy which I never knew bout.I highly doubted this since even after I insisted she go the following day to a particular doctor who was a family friend working in Kijabe hospital, she never went to her and she(my wife) was aware she was being waited for. After this, I never trusted her again and in 2008, we got another boy who was the bone of contention since she conceived when we weren’t together. I reluctantly took care of her in hospital although all along I felt cheated.

Things got from worse to worst when I later got a job in Karen with a white family business whereby I couldn’t make it to go home every day hence would go on Monday morning, stay there until Friday afternoon and went to be with the family over the weekend. This is where hell broke loose!

In 2009 December, I took my two sons and my wife for a holiday to Mombasa where we met my two uncles with other families and we joined them. On the Christmas eve I heard my wife’s phone ring and almost midnight, she left me in the bedroom and headed to the living room talking to someone. I came to understand it was one of the uncles who was talking to her.

I stealthily went to listen because the call was suspicious. The conversation wasn’t good to my ears and I got really angry and there and then told her we were ending the holiday prematurely and go back to Nairobi.

On leaving Mombasa with the boys, she never came directly home. She dropped the kids at the bus stop and headed to Limuru town where I came to learn she had booked a house already and was planning to shift after I resumed back to duty after the
holiday. She was even looking for a job in a nursery school i had opened fro her to end the quarrels of her coming so late from town yet she left so early.Something made me to delay in Mombasa and on coming home, she was preparing to leave with everything once I leave for work the following week.

I remember it was on my birthday when I waited for her to come and make for me lunch but she had gone to look for a house help since the one who we were with then wasn’t ready to continue with us, one, because she had learned her behavior,and two, because we quarreled always. My wife lied to me and since I knew the truth, I felt a betrayal from the one whom I thought should be there for me and what came after this wasn’t pleasant. She prematurely went to the place she had rented and on the following day, I went to work leaving my children with my sister and the house help. I dint know she would come later and pick the kids and household stuff.I couldn’t do anything being that far, I just kept quiet and never talked to her for about 6 months if not more.

I engaged in a relationship with a renown gospel artist, a mother of two girls,a daughter of a bishop and a divorcee which died as soon as it had started. Later I developed another relationship with a colleague in the choir which became more and more deeper and stronger. We started going to her home, her and my sister’s, and even to my cousin’s after wedding party with the intention of introducing us to our relatives and friends despite our pastor disapproving it. We were so in need of one another that we bought land and, went on holidays in Mombasa and many weekends out of town.My wife kept nagging me when the children were taken from the school they were in just to pull me into the mess. I once took her to Karen police cells after she insulted my new found lover where she stayed with the last born son for two nights! She threatened to come to my place of work which I always shared with my boss.

All this time the boys were in a boarding school being the youngest kids in the boarding school in class 4 and 2 respectively.

Also the relationship with this single mother, I engaged with a pastor, a single lady in Mombasa who was ready to marry also but like many of the other relationships, it died too. Many other women came for a while and went and the surprising thing, except the pastor and another one, all the others were either separated or divorced women with big children!!! Never did I ask myself why this was happening!

I tried pushing the divorce case with all my lawyer but it went nowhere. God made sure no relationship would materialize. I was ready to leave the church which does not allow separated couples to remarry hadn’t the Lord used my pastor to change my life.

It was on one Sunday morning after walking with my pastor who told me he wanted to tell me something the Lord told him,. He told me what I would wish to hear but wouldn’t know how to do it.

He told me that God had talked to him and told him that I wont prosper, or cant get His blessings if I wont go back to my family. I went home and thought about it for a whole week. On the following Saturday, I called my wife to my invited her in my house and she came although she was fearing to come because she couldn’t imagine me needing to talk to her. I talked to her and she told me my call woke her up from a dream where she was dreaming seeing her being chased and running to me!!!

We went to church on Sunday and I told the pastor we are now together and he prayed for us.That evening my former pastor called me and told me he had a word from the Lord for me which was exactly what my other pastor had told me and this was a real evidence that the Lord is having something for my life.On Monday morning, I emailed my pastor’s wife, who was so chuffed and elated by the news. She replied and told me exactly what the other pastors had told me! We are now together after a hard 4 years of struggle !

Ive now started going round the country speaking to separated, divorced couples and children from such families.

After a radio interview, many people have called wrote sms to request me to pray with them, counsel them and speak a word of encouragement. Families are now coming together after years of separation and the Lord is changing their lives. I’m looking for a sponsor to help me write a book which people could read and get encouraged.

Remember The Murder Of The University Student Mercy Keino After A Party Governor William Kabogo Was At? KTN Was At Court And They Have This Report For You!

I wonder whether you remember the heinous crime that was meted out on Mercy Keino and robbed her of her life after a party she was attending with some friends that was graced by top politicians such as the Kiambu Governor William Kabogo?

At the early stages of the investigations, William Kabogo was linked to the death of the girl but as the investigations went on, it emerged that there was another more credible suspect: the owner of the car that was seen dumping her body.

Well he was in court to give his testimony. Wyclif Lokweri(?) took the stands to deny hitting and then dumping the body of the late Mercy Keino. He claims to have only seen a body lying on the road 4 meters away and swerved so as not to hit it. The businessman who resides in Mt. View claims he spotted the body while on his way to drop off a handbag that had been left by a female friend in his car.

The Mercy Keino inquest is on-going… At a snails pace only convenient to the yet to be unmasked killer because as they say, justice delayed is justice denied. Watch the video below:

Big Brother Update: Elikem Kept Warm On Chilly Morning By Bed Hopping From Pokello’s Bed to Fatima’s

Is Ghana’s Elikem proving to be a player or it’s the ladies that just can’t have enough of him? On Sunday, he was sharing a bath tub with Fatima while the rest of the housemates were chilling in the jacuzzi. And this morning Elikem was bed-hopping from Pokello’s bed to Fatima’s ‘in search of warmth’.

In the wee hours of the morning the Ghanaian was a busy little bee splitting his time between Pokello and Fatima. First the Ruby guy lay in bed with Pokello and they spent some time whispering sweet nothings to each other.

After the Zimbabwean fell asleep he jumped out of bed and headed into the kitchen for an early morning snack with Fatima. The Ghanaian fried up some eggs for his bath time buddy. After that the pair then went back into the bedroom where they spent the morning snuggled in each other’s arms.

It must be nice to be Elikem to have not one but two pretty ladies to keep him warm through a chilly winter morning.

Ironically, the Ruby housemates want Elikem and Pokello out of the house after the two were nominated for possible eviction on Sunday.

Habida Gets A Dose of Her Own Medicine After Referring To Nicki Minaj’s Song As ‘Rubbish’; Vows Never To Judge Again!

After hitting out at American rapper Nicki Minaj for what she potrays in her song “Freaks” alongside French Montana, super beautiful singer Habida seems to have taken a softer stance on the top American female rapper.

This comes after Habida was given a dose of her medicine by a female blogger who vilified her hit single “Girls Night Out”. The song’s critiquing made Habida promise never to judge again! A seemingly unamused Habida asserted that the female blogger was in fact not in a better position at all to criticize her single hit.

Posting on her newly created blog, Habida ate a humble pie as she vowed never to judge anyone and even changed her opinion about Nicki Minaj.

“So i criticized Nicki Minaj for showing her boobs in a video as she is a role model. Well, i got criticized for Girls Night Out by a blogger. Lol thing is i know her and goodness knows she does not have a lifestyle where she should be looking to criticize anyone else. Anyway long story short, It got me saying to myself i will not criticize again. I will let people do what they want and i will do me and only do the best i can. I remember being so angry and saying i know what kind of life she leads and God showed me that i had criticized someone i didn’t know, so the moral is……do you and leave the judging to the Lord almighty

And for the record Nicki is one of my modern day idols as she is one of the highest earners in the industry right up there with Jay -Z!”

Hmmm…karma?
