Photo Of The Day: Kenyans On Twitter Not Yet Done Trolling The Marriage Bill! But This Is By Far The Funniest!

The Marriage Bill has caused quite the stir and that is not up for debate. Men and women are getting antsy in anticipation and with good reason! The Bill will change the facet of Kenyan society! but Kenyans on Twitter have taken to humourously trolling the whole issue and I am loving it!

I recently came across this and I have decided to share with you. Check out the picture below:

Habida Takes a Swipe at the Kenyatta Administration

Super-beautiful singer, songwriter and actress Habida Maloney has hit out at the Jubilee Government for mistreating teachers. According to the singer, the Legislatures are unfair in awarding themselves huge pay perks while teachers languish with meagre salaries.

Habida who is known for speaking her mind about contemporary issues, dared the Cabinet Secretary for Education, Professor Jacob Kaimenyi to go ahead and fire teachers but doing so, he should fire all the Members of Parliament.

In another tweet, Habida retorted that it is the MPs that have propagated the ‘picketing culture’ whenever their demands are not met.

Blackman Becomes the First Kenyan Producer to Record a Track for a Top West African Artist

Last month, super-producer Blackman pulled a first one when he met up with producer Darkchild at his Beverly Hills home upon the invitation of the US multi-grammy award winning producer. Well, Blackman is back with another fast.

Keeping up with the momentum after two very successful video releases featuring Ghana’s Sarkodie (“Before Then”) and Kenya’s Camp Mulla (“oH mA gAd,”) Wondaboy is back in the building with his amazing smash single, WAJO (“come & dance.”) Recorded and produced in Nairobi at heavy weight producer Blackman’s studio, they both knew immediately that the song would be a major hit.

On this laid back and sexy groove, Wondaboy’s vocal delivery and melodies are truly at their best.  The arrangement and overall production of the song will leave a lasting impression on every listener. With such a catchy hook, WAJO clearly demonstrates that Wondaboy will deliver each & every time!

Ear Candy Music & LNB Entertainment show no signs of slowing down the Wondaboy train – get on board and enjoy the ride through several more stops – featuring more upcoming hit tracks & exciting videos!

Jaguar’s Producer Shopping for a Top of Range Mercedes Benz (Photos)

If you roll with royalty it somehow rubs off on you. Seeing how Jaguar rolls in big German machines, Main Switch’s head honcho, Philip Makanda aka Philo was yesterday at a leading car bazaar shopping for his latest whip. If you don’t know, Philo is the brains behind Jaguar’s latest video, “Kipepeo”.

If you hang out with Jaguar, your swag should be the ‘big boy swag’. As such, Philo was looking for a German guzzler known for their performance and durability. The car, a Mercedes Benz E200 fetches about averagely KSh2.5M after a quick spot-check with several car dealers in Nairobi. The 2013 Mercedes-Benz E-Class was ranked #1 in Luxury Large Cars by U.S. News.

#benz adding this to the list of #toys I’m picking up…” captioned Philo the photos below;

Why Diamond is East Africa’s Biggest Crowd-Puller

Hate him or love him but Tanzanian hit-maker Diamond Platnumz (Naseeb Abdul) has won the hearts of many East Africans in a way no other artist from this region has. The closest rival is Uganda’s Jose Chameleone whose loyal fans stalk him wherever he’s performing.

Back to Diamond; he was recently in Congo and boy did the crowd come out to at least just catch a glance of this Bongo thoroughbred. I have only seen the likes of Justin Bieber and Jay Z attract such a huge crowd. Complete with security provided by the army, fans in their huge numbers lined-up on the roadside to welcome him.

Diamond brought the traffic to a standstill when fans crowded around the hotel where he was staying when he stood at the balcony. But I wonder whether he can pull such a crowd if he were to perform in Nairobi.

Take a look;

Prezzo Off To US to Meet Jay Z Again

Late last year, Prezzo’s fans went cray after the king of bling hooked up with the jigga himself, Jay Z while on his ONE Campaign assignment abroad. Well, Prezzo is set to meet up the American rapper, record producer, entrepreneur, and investor.

Prezzo left the country last night headed for the “East Coast” for a projects with Jay Z. He will also headline a series of concerts whose preparations are already in top gear. The concerts were put together by America-based Kenya promoters when news broke that Prezzo is on his way there.

Speaking to ‘Mzazi’ Willy M. Tuva, El Presidente revealed that while there, he will also make a stop at the ONE Campaign headquarters in Washington DC to check on the latest developments (remember he is a ONE ambassador?).

Check out the last encounter Prezzo had with Jay Z HERE.

Hip Hop Veteran Gwiji Of UkooFlani-MauMau Tells Bamboo, “Where Is Your Album? You Don’t Even Have One Album!”

Gwiji was recently interviewed once again by Youth TV and he went H.A.M as he always does. He spoke about the state of Kenyan hip hop and where it should be and who he feels is doing their best to uplift Kenyan music and indeed hip hop.

And as always, he tore at people and tilted his hat to some. Those to him his hat tilted were the likes of Rabbit, Ocyopizzo, Juliani, Judge, L-Ness, Kayvo K-Force whom he said is always in the studio cooking up food for thought. He seems to be really impressed by Kayvo’s workrate!

To Bamboo, “mtu wangu” He asked, “Hiyo album tumengoja ka venye watoi wanaongoja laptop za Uhuru!” It didn’t come off as a malicious challenge, more like one veteran asking the other to pull up his socks and rise to the occassion.

Over to you Bamboo, where is your album?

Nakuru Too Oozes of Talent

Known to many as Naxvegas, Nakuru has for the longest time been a top escapade destination for party animals who descend on the town in droves whenever a major gig is hosted there. Several celebs have also had their fair share of drama in Naxvegas with some of the most celebrated musicians booed out of the stage.

Well, the mid-Rift town not only boasts of that; the town is united by talent. Already, there are musicians who are already causing ripples in the music scene like Avril (who’s originally from there) and Rapper TN. However, there’s a new music sensation offshoot that has discovered how to please this hard-hearted fans and the rewards are amazing.

Black Russia is the new kid on the block. Consisting of Rahim Teferah aka The general and Cashville recently released a dancehall tune that has got all the local deejays declare that Nax officially has new reps.

And if that’s not enough the YouTube views the video gained in just a few days prompted a Namibian music label Solidarity Sounds to sign Cashville and Teferah. So if you see banners, posters on matatus and Twitter hash tags #stagger just know Black Russia is in the your area code.

Marriage Bill Sparks Intense Debate On Maina and King’ang’i In The Morning!

Ladies and gentlemen, the Marriage Bill seeks to change the very facet of our society. How will this be achieved? Well, Kenya is going to change the very fundamentals of family life and that at a macro level will impact the society. And Kenyans aren’t happy!

Today on Maina and King’ang’i in the morning, callers have been ranting about the second wife! Personally, I believe in polygamy. i am an avowed polygamist. I find men who choose to keep a mistress weak. They are not the head of their households ergo seek to resort to clandestine affairs.
 Rather than deal with the problem as the head of the household, you’d rather sneak around and lie.

Anyway, today on Maina and King’ang’i in the morning, Maina asked why the 2nd wife has been thrown under the bus; should they be entitled to inheritance. And Kenyan women have gone crazy! They have called in to protest and I could not believe how bitterly some of them have come out strongly!

Some good points were raised though with the women saying that they shouldn’t be allowed to inherit what the couple worked to gain together. she should come and build her own with her husband just as the 1st wife did!

What do you think? If your husband were to come home and announce that he wants a second wife, would you accept? And would you let her inherit the family’s wealth?

Prezzo Declines to Apologize to Diamond Platnumz via Twitter; Terms it “Utoto”

Recently, I told you about Prezzo dissing Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz something that prompted sharp criticisms from Diamond’s fans. And Monday afternoon, Diamond denied having any beef with the king of bling and even buried the hatchet but demanded that Prezzo apologizes via Twitter.

However, this afternoon, speaking on ‘Mzazi’ Willy M. Tuva’s award-winning show, “Mambo Mseto”, Prezzo has just revealed that Diamond fired the first salvo after the two performed together at a national event in Tanzania. Prezzo learnt via a local daily that Diamond had dissed him saying that he cannot outdo him in music.

“Mimi sipendi kuwa na adui kwa sababu muziki unafaa kuleta muungano, sa me nikashangaa mbona huyu brother ananiingilia na huku sikumbuki kumkosea wala hatujawai kukutana ana kwa ana” revealed Prezzo adding,”Mtu yeyote anamjua Prezzo ni kama rattle snake, ukimchokoza you have to get prepared to be bitten.”

On his part, Prezzo even reached out to Diamond via a phone call but he did not pick his calls and that when he decided to go in on him. “…jamaa hakupokea simu nakona ah! Basi liwalo na liwe, nikadecide ku-air my views”, revealed Prezzo.

Asked by ‘Mzazi’ whether he will tweet his apology to Diamond, Prezzo stated that tweeting the apology is stooping too low.

“Unaona kwa saa hizi akianza kusema aende kwa Twitter aniombe msamaha, maisha huwa hayaendi hivo…kwa hivyo vitu vingine naona ni kama ni utoto unaingilia kati, kwani yeye kusema niombe msamaha kwa Twitter….niombe msamaha kwa kosa gani? Kusema ukweli,unajua mimini msema ukweli, mimi kuomba msamaha kwa Twitter naona kidogo ni utoto.”

In spite of this, in the end, Prezzo relinquished his beef with the “Nataka Kulewa” hit-maker because he respects him and thanked Willy Tuva for playing the big brother role.

‘El Presidente’ has spoken!

Check Out Kenya’s Lupita Nyong’o Acting Alongside Brad Pitt in This Hollywood Film

Not so long ago, Chim told you HERE that Kenyan actress and former Music Network face of Africa beauty, Lupita Nyong has been featured in a new Hollywood movie. Well, the trailer of the movie, 12 Years A Slave, is out!

12 YEARS A SLAVE is based on an incredible true story of one man’s fight for survival and freedom. In the pre-Civil War United States, Solomon Northup (Chiwetel Ejiofor), a free black man from upstate New York, is abducted and sold into slavery. Facing cruelty (personified by a malevolent slave owner, portrayed by Michael Fassbender) as well as unexpected kindnesses, Solomon struggles not only to stay alive, but to retain his dignity. In the twelfth year of his unforgettable odyssey, Solomon’s chance meeting with a Canadian abolitionist (Brad Pitt) forever alters his life.

The shuga actress who is Professor Anyang’ Nyong’o’s daughter, made her debut in Kenya with her production ‘In My Genes’ and her starring role in Music Television sex education film ‘Shuga’ (2009). This will later followed by her debut role in Hollywood.

Cartel, He of Katenga, Makes A Comeback With A Hot New Release Complete With The ‘Donge’ Phrase

After a long silence, Cartel has finally broken his silence with a hot new release! Dubbed “Teketeke”, the high-tempo track basically defines what Cartel and Katenga music is made of.

Teketeke has a very interesting story behind it, it was first recorded in November last year but Cartel had to change a lot of things to make it perfect.

It is a mixture of house music and Katenga music and that’s why he decided to call it Katenga house. It has a very fast tempo of 134bpm, the chorus is very catchy it puts you in the mood to dance (and forget all your problems).

The song is off Cartel’s upcoming album, Katenga Gold, which will comprise of all his previous hits and some that have never been heard before.

Meanwhile its video has already been shot, however, he is still finalizing on the editing and Cartel assures me that it’s something different which will take his fans by surprise. For now listen to the audio below;

Wahu Speaks About Her Pregnancy for the First Time on Live TV

As you already know, singer Wahu is expectant and is due in three weeks. Well, the “Still Liar” hit-maker recently made a stop-over at KTN where she opened up to Swahili anchor Mwanaisha “Isha” Chidzuga about her pregnancy.

This is her second child after she gave birth to Tumiso about 6 and a half years ago. Here’s an excerpt of that interview;

Isha: How has the journey been?

Wahu: At least for this one, it has been smooth, I thank God. I haven’t had so many complications.

Isha: How has Tumiso taken this? Has she been jealous?

Wahu: She’s so excited about this. She’s always inquiring when the baby is coming. She’s so excited.

Isha: Which problems have you had during your pregnancy?

Wahu: In my first trimester, I experienced a lot of nausea but not to the extent of throwing up. I would just gag at certain odours. But now, since it’s my last trimester, I tend to feel a lot of exhaustion.

Isha: So how far along are you in your pregnancy?

Wahu: My expected date of delivery is about three to four weeks from now.

Isha: Is it a boy or a girl?

Wahu: (laughs) I have no idea.

Isha: Why? You know every pregnant mum wants to know so that she can prepare for her baby.

Wahu: With Tumiso I underwent an ultrasound scan to know her sex but for this one, whatever baby God gives me, I’ll appreciate!

Isha: Has pregnancy affected your music personality?

Wahu: Errrr… I’ve had to slow down in my performances but during my first trimester I would perform just normally. I used to tell guys, am not unwell, I can still sing! I may not gyrate but if you give me the mic, I will sing!

Isha: Was finding clothing that fit you a hard task?

Wahu: Yes! I really had to struggle finding clothes that fit me; because there are very few people who stock maternity wear.

Oprah Winfrey, Like Obama, Skips Kenya & Heads To Tanzania

American media proprietor, talk show host, actress, producer, and philanthropist, Oprah Winfrey reportedly to cancelled a planned trip to Kenya slated for this week. Apparently, the talk show queen was to tour several charity projects in the country at end of the week.

All Africa reports that it’s unclear why the multi-award-winning talk show host cancelled the visit despite that all travel arrangements had been made. Apparently, Oprah is already in Tanzania, on a private trip to the Serengeti.

At the national park, she will be welcomed by the Deputy Minister for Natural Resources and Tourism, Mr Lazaro Nyalandu.

“It is going to be Oprah’s private tour,” revealed Pascal Shelutte,the PR manager for Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA) which manages Serengeti, the country’s second largest National Park.

Oprah is best known for The Oprah Winfrey Show which was the highest-rated program of its kind in history and was nationally syndicated from 1986 to 2011. She has been ranked the richest African-American of the 20th century, the greatest black philanthropist in American history, and was for a time the world’s only black billionaire. She is also, according to some assessments, the most influential woman in the world.

Earlier this month, US President Barack Obama skipped Kenya in his tour of Africa as he opted to visit Tanzania.

Marriage Bill Sends Kenyan Men into Panic Mode

Dudes, if you don’t know, soon (if this Bill is passed) you could soon be charged in a Law Court for failing to marry someone’s daughter after promising to marry her.

Well, the Marriage Bill 2013 is set to be tabled in parliament today and among the proposals are:

1) Men and women whose partners promise marriage but fail to deliver will be entitled to compensation if a proposed Bill is enacted.

2) The Bill provides for a couple to decide and register their marriage as monogamous, meaning any attempts to make it polygamous would be illegal.

3) Men who secretly marry additional wives could also be in trouble as the Bill states that before a man is allowed to take another wife, the current wife or wives will be required to give their approval.

4) Spouses will have equal rights on matrimonial property and where a man embraces a polygamous relationship,the right to property of the first wife is protected

Most people especially the Kenyan online community think this Bill is punitive to the menfolk and should not see the light of day. Take a look;

@JohnKenn4: With this #MarriageBill ladies should propose… Why should I do it then nipitie all those problems?

@DeejayFlanny: I thot marriage is an institutuion, why is this #MarriageBill favouring one party?

@Iz_patel: Chinendu will get a chance to propose to Akinyi again #MarriageBill

@Mikekimaru: kiambu men be like,walitudharau ahaa haha…who’s laughing now…#marriagebill”

@Raphael_lewys: On a date you have a right to remain silent, anything you say will and shall be used against you in a court of law, #MarriageBill

@KerRonnie: The 6 months of dating be considered as a marriage also stands right? Mwanaume ni extinct #MarriageBill

 ‏@VieeysCorner: #MarriageBill mmmmh..this bill will see men end up wife-ing Huddahs and Rihanas.

@Gmwelu: #MarriageBill teammafisi to call a press conference to address their dissatisfaction!

 ‏@Jaluounchained: Juz to be on the safer side… promise her nothing. sema #marriagebill

@gmakuchizi: #MarriageBill…we can beat this one guys!!…jus’ ‘propose’ on April fools…”galfriend,you’ve been pranked”…case dismissed!!

@_rizzete: Mary Wambui will be allowed to see Kibaki finally #MarriageBill

@MissWanyeri: I have saved the #MarriageBill on my desktop….now to read it slowly…

@J_kioni: Meanwhile team mafisi on a panic mode as they count the losses in advance ” I promised 1,2,3,4,5,6…….” #MarriageBill” lol

@kemiObare: so its only in kenya if a man says ‘i luv u’ n he daent mean it thts a crime!!! hehe #marriagebill

@mokayah: She will take a loan, then marry you. Y’all will be liable to repay the loan. #MarriageBill

@OsindiJ: #MarriageBill the problem is the bill,the problem is where can I get a man to sue!!..

@bonniedot: If the #marriagebill is passed, its just a matter of time, men wil b sentenced to death on forgeting their wife’s birthday

 ‏@ishmaelmaichez: I like to promise alot when am high,will that count too. #MarriageBill

@JohnKenn4: There will be no excuses like: kichwa inauma. Kwani imekuwa ikiuma for the last 3 months? #MarriageBill

@Lawkipkoech: kama alikuambia he will take u to the moon na hukuenda peleka yeye court #MarriageBill

 ‏@TheHAMFU: The song ‘Will U Marry Me’ should be banned in public places. #MarriageBill

My thoughts? Kenyan men are afraid of commitment (read MARRIAGE!).

Could This Be the Next Video with Most YouTube Hits in Kenya?

Well, I think so. After Alisha Popat smashed the record for a Kenyan YouTube Video with most views, yet another video seems to be treading on the similar path. This time Gospel artistes Hey Z and Fleksy are the ones causing ripples in the industry.

With less than two weeks after being published, Hey Z’s video featuring Fleksy has amassed over 78,000 hits! This is a clear indication that the song, ‘I Am Nothing’, has managed to reverberate astoundingly among online fans.

Last weekend, the song was on demand on NTV’s “Crossover Chart” show as viewers, in their huge numbers, requested to have it played. Hey Z tells me ‘I Am Nothing” is a Prayer for Help from God in total Submission to His help and Him alone since were made of Flesh and Blood and cannot do it in this life without the help, grace and Speed from Jehovah.

Check out the video as it makes its way into stardom;

And now the lad whose critically acclaimed album OBO (Omo BabaOlowo) dropped last year is coming to Kenya! And you already know that he will be bringing his energetic performances to Kenya and anybody that knows already has this date -27th of July- marked in the calendar because this one will be one for the ages!

So by all means, tell me you have something better to do on the 27th of July other than to watch Davido perform these songs and more live!

GHAFLA POLL RESULTS: Do You Trust The Ipsos-Synovate Report That Kenyans Trust UhuRuto More Than The Media?

Last week I sought to find out what Kenyans felt about the recent Ipsos Synovate research study that was carried out and found that Kenyans trust the UhuRuto government more than they do the media and I asked Kenyans to vote. And boy did they do so in droves!

And they have unanymously said that they do indeed believe in the governmenmt more than they do in the media and as such, they derive their true facts more from government apparatus such as the spokesman and the institutions of the presidency and his deputy more than they do from TV and print media.

Here the results are:

Yes, it’s true! – 53.8%

No, it’s absolute B.S – 46.2%

From Corporate High Roller To TV Executive! Read About What It Took To Accomplish This Switch For One Of The Biggest Names In Kenyan TV!

I came across an intriguing piece about a lady who left her well paying job in a Canadian venture capitalist firm to come back home to Kenya to pursue her dream of heading a TV production company that would produce some of the best quality works Kenya and indeed Africa has ever seen.

The source of this piece is howwemadeitinafrica.com and I hope you are inspired by it.

Four years ago Dorothy Ghettuba quit her job at a venture capital firm in Canada and moved back to Kenya to follow her passion for TV production. With no education or experience in the field, the only thing Ghettuba was armed with was her determination to make it.

There was no plan B. When I was packing up my stuff and leaving a good job, and leaving a comfortable life in a place where people have first world problems of ‘can I have the strawberry or the vanilla one’… failure was not an option,” she said.

Ghettuba is the founder and CEO of Spielworks Media, one of Kenya’s leading production houses. Some of its TV shows include Block D, Lies that Bind, Higher Learning, Saints, Ladies 1st and civic education drama series Know Your Constitution, which have aired on TV stations both in Kenya and outside the country.

Ghettuba told How we made it in Africa that she has always had a passion for acting but could not pursue it as a career after high school because it was not financially sustainable. She went on to study communications and political science at Andrews University in Michigan, United States.

When she visited Kenya for a friend’s wedding, Ghettuba was amazed by how a local TV station had risen from the bottom to become the most popular station because it aired local content. “I saw an opportunity to create quality content,” said Ghettuba, who is also an actor, singer and writer for film and television.

Although she went back to Canada after the wedding, Ghettuba thought hard about the opportunity she had witnessed. “I had to decide; do I want to stay in Canada and do what has already been done and [be] this small fish in a big sea or do I want to come to Africa?”

Eventually she decided her best bet was on Africa and Ghettuba set up Spielworks Media while still in Canada. “I had always known I was not coming home to be employed,” she added.

Just months after turning 30, Ghettuba packed her bags and moved to Kenya.

“It was tough because I had never done this before,” she explained. “It is always risky; packing and leaving everything. I left Kenya when I was 18. I had never lived in Kenya as an adult. Coming back home, for me, was a new experience. But I am a risk taker. I am very daring.”

Despite the challenges, Ghettuba was determined to make it. She joined a local TV show as a production manager and learnt on the job. “It was baptism by fire. It was so hard. Mistakes were made, lessons were learnt, but that is what it is. From the producers I learnt how not to produce. I am forever grateful… I would not swop that experience for anything whatsoever,” she said.

After six months, she decided to begin working on her own production. She came up with an idea and presented it to a network executive who loved it, but demanded to see a pilot. However, Ghettuba did not have money to finance the pilot and the network executive was not willing to write a cheque just yet.

Drawing from her knowledge and experience in venture capital financing, Ghettuba approached her family and friends and managed to secure some money.

“I remembered [that] people don’t buy into an idea, they buy into people,” said Ghettuba. “Money came from people who thought I was nuts, but they also wanted to support my dreams. When you want to start a business and you really believe in it, look at your inner circle [for financing].”

Ghettuba took the pilot to the network executive who wanted to pay half the price she had asked for. She knocked on more doors and eventually a local station picked up the drama series Block D. That opened doors for more productions.

“We have come a long way,” she added. “We are now going to be shooting four drama series and five talk shows simultaneously. That is very exciting. We are really pumping content because content is the new petroleum.”

Big Brother Update: Nigeria’s Beverly Gets F!ngered By South Africa’s Angelo (Video)

When the going get’s tough, the tough get going! I’ve always loved that saying although it has never made sense to me. Kind of the way the contestants of this year’s cycle of BBA have decided to go all out with their s3xuality. They are having it all willy nilly like rats! I like that fact but I don’t understand the reasons informing the decisions to engage in it.

And so with that, allow me to say that Nigeria’s Bev Osu was recently filmed getting f!ngered by Angelo who seems to have magic fingers because the lass was mourning like there was no tomorrow! Uncle Chim Tuna can now see that the rate at which BBA videos are being leaked and posted on the internet is too high!

And this is really worrying Shose Oyalo of Multichoice. She has vowed to prosecute everyone behind the leaking of these BBA V.I.P videos. I am actually relieved that Ghafla isn’t behind it! And that the folks at Multichoice understand that as an entertainment site, we merely report and/or syndicate the stories off other websites!

So with that said and done, allow me to say that I have the link to the video and you can watch it here.

BBA Update: Nigerians Throw Their Representative Under The Bus For A Shameful Sex Act With Fellow Housemate

Nigerian rep Beverly Osu and fellow BBA housemate, South African rep Angelo, took their flirting to the next level last night after the Saturday party. The two went to one of the rooms where they kissed passionately and then Beverly allowed her dread locked wanna-be-lover to satisfy her sexually with his fingers.

The two have been flirting for a very long time but last night they went over the moral limit going a bit way too wild for the unexpected viewers. The two left to one of the empty rooms where they exchanged kisses and then she opened her legs for the dread locked South African to fill her up with his fingers.

Then Nigerians went gaga over her action inside the reality show and took to Twitter to vent their anger. While some were nailing Beverly, others were clapping for her and asking Nigerians to be compassionate. Ex-BBA Nigeria representatives, Uti Nwachukwu and Karen Igho, joined tweeps that took to Twitter to voice their opinions.

Uti Nwachukwu tweeted:

“Hold up. Y’all need to go easy on Beverly. It takes a lot of discipline and grace from God to fight Konji in that house after 2 months. Norvex”

While  Karen Igho tweeted:

“Very soon, we go hear one girl don carry belle for BBA. lol. Now the game is getting hotter. as e dey hot.”

Below are some of the tweets;

Diamond Denies Having Any Beef With Prezzo. Buries The Hatchet On Mzazi Willy M. Tuva’s Show!

Today, Mzazi Willy M. Tuva was on air on his wildly popular radio show Mambo Mseto and he sought to get to the bottom of the issues between Prezzo and Diamond if indeed there was one. and he tried to call Prezzo but the President wasn’t picking up.

So he instead reached out to Diamond Platinumz and Diamond said that he had no problem with Prezzo and he was unaware of the existence of bad blood between the two of them and went as far as saying he respects the lad.

Multichoice: ESPN Cancels All Their Channels In Africa!

This is a press release from Multichoice concerning ESPN who have decided that they do not want nor need the African market -afterall, we aren’t exactly what is considered to be “prime market”.

MultiChoice would like to notify its DStv subscribers that it has received notification from ESPN that it intends to close the ESPN and ESPN Classic Television Channels in Africa on 31 July 2013. This appears to be a business decision by ESPN affecting all its channels in Africa, Europe and Middle East.

MultiChoice will keep its subscribers informed of developments in this regard and would like to thank them for their continued support.

Top 4 Shadiest Tujuane Dates!

The other day in the office, we were discussing Tujuane’s meteoric rise! They went from television obscurity to being overwhelmingly popular and while they owe this to Mirfat Musa whom I had colloquially dubbed Madharau Mirfat.

But other than Mirfat, there have been some rather shady dates that have been either too painful or humiliating to watch and I have compiled the most embarrassing ones for you to watch and enjoy.

From Madharau Mirfat (who is actually an awesome human being whom I will stop referring to as Madharau Mirfat after today) to Blushingz Maggie to Awkward Moments Mwende sit back and enjoy the best and worst of these dates below:

#4. Colonel Mustapha

This was a series of awkward dates. Three in total. The first had him buying the lass stuff and the second had him convincing the lass to go over to his house for a sleepover. One of his dates said that she was a fan of his music but she only knew one song.
Then there was the fact that the last date he went on was with a lass who already knew him.

{youtube}f5_zhteo304{/youtube}

#3. Lily and Teddy

This was one very awkward date. thye entire process was that of a lad telling a lass he’d just met that he wanted 10 children from her and she shouldn’t smoke sheesha and whatnot. The entire time I was watching this episode, I thought it was one entire clusterfu*dge*.

#2. Maggie “Blushings”

This lass’ date was a trainwreck! From the lad “making her blushings” to the lad telling her that his mother cheated on his father -which i will never for the life of me understand! This was one interestingly ratchet  date!

{youtube}v3DWuKy1oRg{/youtube}

 After her disastrous Tujuane date, she has now become an upcoming artist:

#1. Madharau Mirfat

Need I say more? This was a date from hell!

BBA Update: Annabel on the Chopping Board Once Again!

Just hours after she evaded eviction from The Chase, thanks to votes from our very worthy neighbours – Tanzania and Uganda, Kenyan contestant, Annabel Mbaru has been put up for possible eviction come Sunday.

It seems that guys in Diamond house are very uncomfortable with our Annabel and have conspired against her and have put her again on the chopping board. Annabel received a total of 4 nominations alongside Ethiopia’s Bimp.

Bimp nominated Annabel because he doesn’t know her; Bassey nominated Annabel because she’s competition; Beverly nominated Annabel because she’s competition and her least favourite and finally; Melvin nominated Annabel because he’s not so close to her.

Here is how the Diamond housemates nominated today:

Annabel: Beverly and Bimp

Bimp: Annabel and Dillish

Bassey: Bimp and Annabel

Nando: Melvin and Dillish

Beverly: Annabel and Bassey

Dillish: Bimp and Nando

Melvin: Bimp and Annabel

As usual, let’s get voting for this beautiful lady.

Remember The UON Goon Shown Extorting Money From Ian Mugoya And KTN? He Has Spoken Out! Read His Comment Here!

Once upon a time, an ogre was captured on television by KTN attempting to extort money from Ian Mugoya as his equally ratchet friends were shown harrassing a female attempting to push and pull her to wherever they could achieve whatever nefarious scheme they had in mind but to no avail.

And the ogre was exposed and taught a bitter lesson: you do not fudge with the 4th Estate! But the ogre has come out to tell his story. Obviously being given courage by the legendary tale of Shrek, the ogre everyone loves. But from what was captured on TV, this isn’t a loveable ogre.

But away from mythical tales, the lad in question caught acting ratchet has come out to say this:

  Junior Charles Mc’otuoma

After have been said….this is my side of the story.
Today as I was busy running my errands in town I was called to come and cool down guys who were disrupting a live event in the pitch. I came running bearing in mind that the event must go on as earlier scheduled. Wen I reached the venue, it was full and after having cooled guys down, I asked KTN guys to go on with the show but they feared that same students could intrrupt again. Now tell me…..wat was my mistake……….

Junior Charles Mc'otuoma

Indeed, what was his mistake?

Indeed, manhandling a lady is alright you Philistine!

COWARDS_AND_FOOLS.jpg

Because brave men “handle” a woman in gangs! This lady is more of a man than these silly boys!

And Now Uon Students Threaten KTN After Demanding For Bribes

Earlier today, I told you how a group of rogue University of Nairobi students on Saturday disrupted Str8-Up Live recording at the University’s Graduation square demanding for bribes. The latest on that is the students are now demanding apology from KTN or less they press charges.

According to information posted on one of the Facebook pages associated with the students’ body, the learners presented their demands which they insist should be met. Here they are;

KTN APOLOGISE OR UON WILL SUE U FOR:

Citizen TV’s Julie Gichuru Branded ‘Worst Interviewer’

Julie Gichuru, one of the top media celebrities and news anchor made her way back on air last night (as I earlier told you HERE) on her Sunday Live news show on Citizen TV. However, it has not been a rosy affair for her.

Julie’s comeback to the screen has been met with hostility from a section of Kenyans who feel aggrieved by the way she conducted her first interview (she was interviewing Deputy President, William Ruto). According to them, Julie was “too soft” for the Deputy President who took over the interview.

Here are some of the reactions from Twitter bigwigs and fellow journalists alike;

@rasmengesha23: I have nothing against Julie Gichuru, except the fact that she is one of the most overrated people in the world.

@ndinda_: Julie Gichuru is the symbol of a compromised media

@GidiOgidi: William Ruto has taken over the Interview KUSEMA NA KUSEMA @juliegichuru

@jamessmat: The only thing a Journalist can do is ask QUESTIONS- ask them truthfully, and firmly otherwise that’s not JOURNALISM that’s PUBLIC RELATIONS

@Ali_Manzu: Jee,unajua maana ya kupakwa mafuta kwa Mgongo wa chupa?”

@jamessmat: I have never wasted time in my entire life like in the last 15 minutes—-

@Ms_Nabukenya: So much for Mwakazi’s voice “Julie Gichuru,is BACK!” Honestly,Nothing interesting about her return if this interview is to go by.

@RamzZy_: Julie Gichuru’s came back the same poor interviewer. She’s too nice to her guests.

@MediaMK: Incase you missed it – if you buy packed Maize Meal from a supermarket – you’re as rich as William Ruto and Julie Gichuru

@RobertAlai: Ruto and Julie Gichuru were on a #Tujuane date.

‏@EstherAkello: wah!people are not feeling the love for Julie Gichuru,but to be honest i also flipped the channel several times on that Ruto interview…

@SlimgazaV: Julie Gichuru amechapa walai..next tym atajiata anahost ExtremeMakeover or Believe it or Not instead of citizens interviews

@Reinhard_Asamo: Julie Gichuru , going by her interview with @Williamsruto should have stayed away from @citizentvkenya. She performed dismally.

@GilbertNicholar: Julie Gichuru should stick to talk shows interviews are not her strongest suits!
