Check Out The Beautiful Betty Kyallo With No Make Up On (PHOTO)

Sometimes makeup makes drab women seem angelic. The make up lends the woman wearing some an aura that significantly brightens her visage and makes her seem more beautiful. And no, I did not just read that from a make up kit. Back to the story at hand.

Not every woman should wear makeup because they are simply beautiful even with no filter and no makeup. That’s that African charm and Betty Kyalo is no different.
I found a picture of her with no makeup and no filter and I was impressed. Check her out below:

Mohammed Ali of ‘Jicho Pevu’ On the Spot Yet Again; “Jicho Pevu is Al-Shabaab’s Mouthpiece”

Last Friday, just hours before his so-much-hyped expose that sought to reveal to Kenyans during the events that unfolded inside the Westgate Mall during the 4-day siege, Mohammed Ali came under fire when the Secretary General of East Africa Youth Parliament (EAYP) faulted his “Jicho Pevu” investigative pieces terming them half-truths.

This morning, Moha has been put on the spot yet again, this time by one of the leading current affairs blogger, Mugo wa Wairimu. According to Mugo, Jicho Pevu is Al-Shabaab’s mouthpiece.

Here’s why;

WHY JICHO PEVU IS AL-SHABAAB’S MOUTHPIECE;

‘MATYR’ BODY DISPLAY: This is one of the key methods used by Jihadists and their preferred media outlets.

-In Late August Mohammed Ali broke ALL Journalistic Rules by PUBLICLY displaying the Bodies of Aboud Rogo and three other slain clerics.

-That was not just a bad editorial judgement- but a properly timed activity in any Islamic Fundamentalists schemes.

-Ask yourself these hard questions

a) Why would anyone want to display for more than ten minutes badly mutilated bleeding bodies of “three Martyrs” at 7 pm?

b) What purpose does the display of “Martyrs” serve? This is meant to act as a signal to other “Martyrs”.

Fundamentalist Islam teaches that Martyrs bodies have special powers.

If you believe that there is no connection between the Jicho Pevu Display of Mutilated Bodies and the Westgate Attack three weeks later, then you must be very wrong.

The Middle East Media Research Institute has details of previous tactics: Check them out in this link
http://www.memri.org/report/en/print7021.htm

2. Demonizing KDF/MILITARY: In order to encourage more Jihadists, the Islamic Fundamentalists have a well tested tactic of making the opposing FORCE look terrible and foolish

This tactic has worked well in Iraq and Afghanistan. Buy any preaching tape by Rogo and you will discover that Rogo and his fellow preachers at the Masjid Musa Mosque had been Demonizing KDF in all their preachings.

This is done in order to lift the spirits of new recruits, and fire them up against the “terrible” enemy.

I have checked, and rechecked the section that claims that KDF looted- but some things just do not add up: Before you join the mob justice of judging our forces- consider this

1) Looting would have seen them carrying different goodies, of different sizes and colours:

The images I have seen just show seven men carrying similar sized paperbags.

Nowhere do I see any till being broken into, nowhere do I see any soldier picking anything from any shelf.

Before we jump into the mob justice against our soldiers- consider this: Al shabaab has manufactured several defamatory stories against Ugandan Forces. The only difference is that Museveni will shut down any irresponsible media house that airs anything that tarnishes UPDF without proof.

JICHO PEVU has depicted/portrayed KDF as a bunch of clueless nincompoops.

First, by claiming that 200 men were not able to capture 4 “Fighters”

Second, by sensationally claiming that the 4″Fighters” mysteriously escaped(without showing how and through what route).

The fact that cameras only captured 4 men does not mean that there were only four.

Westgate has several shops and we cannot conclude that they were only four, when we only have CCTV footage of three sections of the mall that has hundreds of sections.

This fits well in the Islamic Fundamentalists system of Demonizing the opposing force.

Why Cant ALI use his ‘investigative’ skills to get to the bottom of those that funded the attackers?

Why cant he use his skills to expose the preachers that have been recruiting young men to fight against Kenya and kill Christians?

Why Cant Jicho Pevu give us the network that hosted these killers? Truth is: ALi is not willing to expose them; Reason?

Kantai Set For A Comeback Performance

Alot has been said about Kantai. From stories swirling about of how he is a despondent alcoholic and how he fell off and will never get back into A-List celebrity stardom. And he is out to silence the critics. His management team just sent word to Uncle Chim Tuna to inform me that Kantai is planning a huge comeback.

Check out the press release below:

One of Kenya’s most lethal lyricists Chris Kantai, popularly known as ‘Kantadda’ will also be making a
come back when he performs at Soul To Soul. This will be his first time on stage in three years. “ I
haven’t lost an inch of my lyrical prowess, I am still as lethal as I was , I will be proving critics wrong”
says Kantai.

Kantai has been missing in action in what he terms as a recess to be with his son. He will be performing
some of his famous songs as well as his new releases, “Almighty” which was composed for his son. Other
artists slated to perform include conscious hip hop rappers Washamba Wenza.
Other prominent poets in Kenya will also be performing alongside Sitawa Wafula and Kantai.
The event will be hosted by Hip hop head and member of Wakamba Wawili , Labalaa who will also
perform. According to the coordinator, Edward Amaya, “all artists who perform any conscious form of
art apart from rapping, poetry and spoken word will also be given a chance to perform”.
The FREE ENTRY event will be held on Saturday 9th November from 11am to 6pm at the Bahai Centre
located next to Kengeles Nyayo Stadium.

Controversial Gay Gospel Musician Joji Baro Now An Artist.Check Out A Few Of His Paintings Here

A lot has been said about gay, cross-dressing Gospel artiste Joji Baro.He has been judged and condemned by a lot of people with a large number of Bible- thumpers crowding our comment section self-righteously  quoting a few Bible verses about homosexuality.

A few believe that Joji should not be a Gospel artiste because he is gay. I always say that we should never judge for we are all sinners and fall short of the glory of God,so it is time we got off the moral high horse and quit judging. After all didn’t Jesus Christ the son of God hang out with prostitutes, tax collectors and those rejected by the community?

Anyhow apart from preaching the Gospel  and causing controversy Joji is also a Picasso of sorts. Have a look at some of Joji’s work

It was all rainbow and butterflies until this happened:

Maina And King’ang’i In The Morning: Would You As A Man Consider Vasectomy As A Family Planning Method?

Maina and King’ang’i are asking quite a puzzling question; would Kenyan men embrace vasectomies as a family planning method? And just what is a vasectomy? Well, a vasectomy is a surgical procedure for male sterilization and/or permanent birth control. During the procedure, the vasa deferentia of a man are severed, and then tied/sealed in a manner such to prevent sperm from entering into the seminal stream (ejaculate). Vasectomies are usually performed in a physician’s office or medical clinic.

Vasectomy.jpgThe part labelled “F” is the part that gets severed.

So basically, they snip your balls. So no thank you! Uncle Chim Tuna will not go under the knife for a 2nd time unless it is because of cancer!

But this is the question Maina posed to everyone:

There is something that was carried out in Rwanda recently. We are here wondering how it would go down here in Kenya. Read on…

The government of Rwanda now advocates for a Birth Control Method for men known as Vasectomy. This is for family planning purposes according to the Ministry of Health in Rwanda. Vasectomy is an operation on a man to prevent him from impregnating a woman. Most African men won’t even advocate for it, yet most rich and wealthy men especially in the west have undergone this procedure. It is considered an effective family planning method.

We ask, what do you think about it? Do you think this would be implemented in Kenya successfully? Ladies, if it was up to you, would you let your man undergo a vasectomy? Gentlemen, what are your thoughts on vasectomy? Should it be considered? Wouldn’t it be effective for family planning in our society?

Let us know your thoughts! I’ll be reading your comments. This is very interesting…

Kevin Ombima commonly referred to as Kaka Sungura has certainly come a long way from his days of his ‘Tembea’. After his chart-topping hit Ligi Soo, the rapper is now set to finalize his lucrative Bongo deal come December this year.

Speaking exclusively to Ghafla, Rabbit revealed that the deal will include a deluxe house in an affluent location that the rapper declined to reveal and a first-class life in general. We asked him just how lucrative this deal was in monetary terms but the rapper remained mum about it.

If all goes as planned we will see him work with Tanzania’s musical legends like Pacho Latino, Hermy B of Tusker Project Fame and  Marco Chali.

This will not be Rabbit’s first international collaboration as the beginning of 2011 he met Jorma Taccone, a member of The Lonely Island and created a rap video that has over 1.2 million YouTube views. You know Lonely Island from songs such as ‘Jizz In My Pants’,’Dick in A Box’ and’ Like A Boss’

‘Jicho Pevu’ Journalists Mohammed Ali & John Allan Namu Summoned For Questioning Over the Westgate CCTV Footage

Friday, KTN aired its much hyped investigative pieces ‘Jicho Pevu’ and ‘Inside Story’ by Mohammed Ali and John Allan Namu respectively that revealed to Kenyans that the KDF soldiers manning the mall during the four-day siege looted the shops in the upscale mall.

This morning however, the two investigative journalists were summoned by Criminal Investigative Department (CID) to explain how the soldiers looted as well as how the terrorists escaped as purported by their investigation.

According to word on the street, Moha and Namu were allegedly questioned on how they got access to the clip showing KDF soldiers looting the Nakumatt supermarket, something that has damaged the reputation of the disciplined forces.

There were even speculations that the two had been arrested following the expose but the two journalists have since dispelled the rumour that was quickly spreading on social media.

Moha tweeted, “We are safe” while Namu insisted that they have not been arrested.

Mashujaa Day celebrations may have been over but that doesn’t mean that Kenyan heroes can’t be accredited. For that matter, Sub Sahara Entertainment LTD releases the label’s hottest collaboration yet, Wakati Wako (Your Time).

Produced by the gifted Kus Ma who also raps on the track, the beautiful melody blends the talents of Thee MC Africa, Madtraxx and Tiri. Creatively fusing future-age synths with East African guitar riffs, the song echoes the reminder of unity and new beginnings.

In commemoration of Kenya’s fifty years as a republic, these young stars honor their homeland and its veterans – simultaneously giving the younger generation a classic banger to celebrate the season with.

Here’s the reverence track;

Camp Mulla are known for party songs and song about the good life. That in the past earned them alot of barbs from other entertainment editors. that was before the rest of Africa were moved by their music. Then everyone thought it was cool.

Celebrated Writer Oyunga Pala Gives His Two Cents On Joshua Sang’s Case Oyunga Pala On Joshua Sang’s Case (Part 2)

And  here is part two:

When the going was good, Sang was probably at the height of his popularity. Today he is that radio presenter who stubbornly refuses to be forgotten. When a big man makes a mistake, everyone rushes in to cover for him and turns into a defense team because in the national psyche, the overlords are beyond reproach.

For the common man though, you learn to bear your own cross. At your greatest hour of need, you will be surprised by how quickly fatigued people get with your misfortunes. If you refuse to respond to medication after the first visit to the hospital, you will probably have to rely on your good deeds from the past. If you did not make your contributions regularly at family or community gathering in times of misfortune, the community reprisal will be harsh. Misery might love company but company is not always reciprocal.

In Sang is the recurring story of the common man in this country, used and discarded as soon as the window of convenience closes. He reminds us to humble ourselves, keep our heads low, be thankful for our little fortunes and go through the motions, accepting and moving on without fuss.

Celebrated Writer Oyunga Pala Gives His Two Cents On Joshua Sang’s Case Oyunga Pala On Joshua Sang’s Case

There has been a huge fuss over the plight of the Deputy President and President at the ICC but it seems that Journalist Sang has been forgotten, it is like no one cares about his predicament, everyone is more worried about Uhuru Ruto fate.

Oyunga Pala one of the most prolific writers of our time had this to say about the forgotten journalist:

With all the debate generated over the ICC cases at the Hague, one character keeps missing out in the national conversation. He may be seen but he is never heard. Nonetheless, he sticks out like a swollen lip, an inconvenient reminder that the small guy also has some responsibility to bear over the 2007-2008 post- election violence. In case it escaped your attention, Joshua Arap Sang is the forgotten suspect number 3. He would have been absolutely irrelevant if fate hadn’t bandied him with larger than life characters. He is the little guy you wish to ignore but every so often, he makes the front pages, diminutive in size, cast against the confident Deputy President William Ruto. Always subdued, a pained expression permanently scrawled on his face and it is no longer seems to bother anyone that he may be innocent.

For most ordinary men, it is fairly normal to be considered guilty and until you proven innocent. Sang is the little guy, if we are to literally stretch the metaphor, and in a country where only small men with a lot of money to matter.  Sang represents the Kenyan average Joe and the stereotypes that define it.  He is not handsome, not rich, has no family pedigree to speak of, no social status to leverage striped of his job title and sadly, no special powers to move the masses. Sang is what is referred to as common mwananchi. The unidentified crowd, that materializes of out of thin air by the roadside when a beer or petrol tanker overturns, to make quick gains off someone else’s loss.

He may have strong opinions about the state of the nation but he is seemingly powerless to do anything about it. Sometimes, they are called Wanjiku, a term popularized by civic society activists during the writing of the new constitution. It is the elite’s way of defining the class divides between the leadership and the ‘great unwashed’, the hoi polloi.
In most instances, they are invisible unless they appear in an agitated mob because the only way for the common man to be recognized is to agitate and threaten to wreck the peace and private property. It is the most effective way to draw attention to one’s existence.

(continued in part two)

Prominent Royal Media Services Presenter Bereaved

It is with great sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the death of Mzee Aloys Okinda. The late was Hot 96’s drive show, Hot Drive, presenter Chris Okinda.

Mr. Okinda passed on last Friday after a long battle with diabetes. He will be laid to rest on 2nd November Saturday in Busia County, Murende Sub-location, Madele village.

Announcing the sad news, the raspy-voiced radio host eulogized his father as a ‘fighter’;

“Let it never be said that my dear father Mr. Aloys Okinda went down without a fight. Baba was a strong man but he died last night”

Born 33 years ago, Chris is a prominent Kenyan actor, film director, producer, author and radio presenter. He featured in the Oscar award-winning movie The Constant Gardener working alongside Ralph Fiennes and White Maasai.

He is also the founder of the theatre film company Something Productions, which produces plays in his mother’s native Dholuo language, and is actively involved in the making of films and documentaries, the latter for both television and radio.

Ghafla! sends deepest condolences to Chris and his family for the loss.

Meet Ian Mugoya’s Beautiful Sister, Shelby Mugoya (PHOTO GALLERY)

Alot has been said about Ian Mugoya. The model turned actor turned Straight Up presenter. he is one of Kenya’s most prolific media personalities and I do believe  even did a piece about his extensive J’s collection.

But not that much is known about his family life. Indeed, I respect a lad that keeps family and work completely separated. But it’s my job to source out such information. And I am good at what I do. That being said, after scouring the internets and doing what Adam Wagwau and Chege tell me is “internet stalking”, i found the lass. and my oh my, what a beauty she is indeed.

That being said and done, I present to you, Shelby Mugoya:

Gado Is Back With More Sharp Humour: How KDF Recruit Soldiers

Gado is known for his wit and sharp, biting satire blah blah blah! Forget all that rot. Gado is just that guy that gets you laughing as he passes on messages about socio-economic or socio-political agendas. He finds a way to make a commentary on what would otherwise be mundane without boring the socks off your feet.

And this time, it’s no different as he sought to demystify Kenya;’s Defence forces recruitment techniques. and apparently they ask a very crucial questions; crucial to your survival as a soldier if you ever find yourself fighting terrorists in a shopping mall:

Photo Of The Day: Nini Wacera Punches Brenda Wairimu

As you are all aware Brenda Wairimu and Nini Wacera play sisters Pamela and Julia in Kona an East African Telenovela. Sisterly relationships can be fickle and at times faces get punched and the Oyange sisters are no different. So did things get heated on set causing the ‘fist met face’ fiasco?

Nope! Nini is actually not punching Brenda, this is just a promo picture for the show that airs every Monday – Friday at 19:30 (EAT) on Africa Magic Entertainment and Africa Magic. Exclusive to DStv and GOtv Plus.

Here’s Why Brenda Wairimu is Soon Becoming A Psychopath

After years of modelling, ambassador and acting- CHANGING TIMES (Sharriffa), MALI (Lulu) SHUGA 2 – (Dallah) & KONA (Pamella), super-hot Brenda Wairimu wants to try something totally different.

Brenda has often taken up the roles of a spoilt, naïve or conflicted girl but if she had it her way, she’d play a psychopath or serial killer, reports DStv.com

“I want to take on a role that would be the farthest from who I am; one that would drain me emotionally.”

But until that happens, she’s plying her acting trade on M-Net’s first telenovela, Kona. The fair-skinned actress plays the feisty last born in the Oyange brood.

“I read through the script to understand who Pamela was emotionally and mentally,” says Brenda on her preparation for the role that sees her constantly clashing with her on-screen sister and mother.

How does Brenda view Pamela?

“I see bits and pieces of myself in her. Although I don’t speak out my issues like she does since I’m reserved, we are the same way in how we both go for what we want,” she says.

How does Brenda chill out after a busy day at the office?

Seems you’ll find her at home on the couch under a duvet, watching movies.

However, when Brenda is on set she’s focused on the task at hand; bringing Pamela to life, a job she acknowledges is a success thanks to tips picked up from fellow cast members.

“I learn different things from all of them; Mutiso shows me how to be funny, Julia, anger. I love the cast I work with, the dialogue coach and the directors. The level of production on this show is so amazing,” she explains.

And if you’re curious to know what goes on when the cameras aren’t rolling, Pamela reveals that the cast members often sit around talking, gossiping a little and sharing important pieces of advice.

Watch Pamela on Kona at 18:30 CAT on AfricaMagic and find out what makes her tick.

Meet Prezzo’s Sweet Daughter (PHOTO)

Prezzo is a man who has captivated the imaginations of Kenyans ever since he debuted on the scene with his popular song “Naitwa Jackson/Naleta Action” way back when there was no glamour in Kenya’s entertainment scene. And he proved he has staying power after almost everyone in the entertainment scene had written him off as a rich kid who was looking for a distraction from his everyday life.

If anything he is more relevant than ever and has been dropping tracks that are sure hits. And when he got married and (unfortunately) subsequently divorced, he made the headlines of Kenya’s entertainment magazines. But all anyone ever knew about his short lived union to Daisy Kiplagat was that it produced a daughter.

I finally got my mitts on said daughter. And she is such an adorable, sweet little girl. Check her out below:

Find Out What Mudigi Of Sauti Sol Has To Say About Cyber Bullying

Social Media has been alive lately, but for all the wrong reasons. There has been more bile than usual, people hating on a socialite’s 450K weave, folks showing extreme dislike for Eva Saida the socialite ‘launched’ by Ghafla, the Shebesh-Sonko Fiasco and now we are obsessing about the KDF lootenants.

We are so obsessed with negativity that awesome things are happening such as Lupita bagging a Hollywood award but very few seem to care about this Kenyan  mile stone.

This opinion is echoed by Mudigi of Sauti Sol who says that

We are not one until we sort out our basics. We have to support one another. Let’s stop waiting for news so that we can aggressively hate on twitter. Am longing to see topics like; Lupita Nyong’o, Sauti sol’s soma kijana initiative, KPL, and other success stories trend.
Let’s not use social media only to hate and put each other down.

Benga Maestro Dan Aceda taking Kenyan Music To The Next Level with This Awesome New Track (VIDEO)

When I met Dan Aceda, he shocked me. he is a rather down to earth individual which is unlike most musicians who possess half his talents and have achieved half the levels of success he has. It was at a party for a leading vodka brand at a club situated in town.

Now that i have recalled that, I have just remembered that I owe him a drink. Water or soda Bwana Dan? Anyway, moving right along, he impressed me with his humility. And now he has blown me away with his latest musical offering. The man has outdone himself.

Everything about this new track oozes class. At the risk of sounding like my mother, this track is a touch of pure class. It has that good-life feel to it and is the type of song my brother insists on only listening to when there is premium brandy or scotch around. The tosser!

The track is called “An E Yo” and the video was shot by Brad Braufman and was based in Boston. The video has Dan aceda playing the dapper African gentleman crooning songs to his “nyara”. Yeah, I spit that hot Luo fire!

Anyway, check it out below:
