Dennis Okari has established himself as the King of Investigative Journalism thanks to his Seeds of Sin expose and his latest investigative piece, Terrorists Playground.
He planted mysterious bags at jobless corner, CID headquarters, Kenyatta National Hospital among others but all went unnoticed. We were shown how the public and law enforcers lack vigilance when it comes to terrorism. This expose shook a lot of people to the core due to the fact that most of us are completely oblivious of such suspicious items .
Here are some of the reactions to the piece:
Kariuki Muiri I keep saying we need to train about 30,000 graduates in Israel and US to come and help Kenya security start on a clean slate.Sack all cops and help deploy them into secondary security operations in the private setor.Corruption is a crisis
Julius Wachira Dennis, yes its great investigation but i beg to differ with u& many in this case. My opinion is, ought NOT to be aired…. This is helping terrorists with ideas. In the name of journalism, this story sadly is doing a feasibility study for free onbehalf of terrorists, on how to have a successful terror attack. Beleive me, alshabaab& other terrorists, will analyze this & will watch it online& capitalize on this bcz they have been given ideas. Okari ought to have shared this with security agents first. Govt should move forward & stop this kind of journalism which doesnt give solutions rather exposes us to more harm by revealing to our enemies how weak our systems are.
Ndung’u Mumo “Unless the Lord watches over a city even those who watch over it do so in vain” (Psalm 127:1). Now @least u know y we say God is the one protecting us not these police.
Nevstin Kiiru The guy is a genius…call it work perfectly done….The govt has failed the people of kenya in terms of security…Having guys like Kimaiyo still in office is so so sad…Security officers are only taking bribes on the road and singing the songs of ALCOBLOW….achaneni na walevi and deal with serious security matters not courts on the road and banning nyt travel….priorities
Temmy T Temmie Big up Dennis Onkari…u such a genius
Muthumbi Nyawira #TerroristsPlayground.on NTV….Great work..Dennis Okari
Kelvin Karani Gitonga If what was aired by Dennis Okari was a reality of the events truly happening then I do not know whether we Kenyans are safe anymore. You go a place and one is not suspicious by what you are carrying in a bag. No serious checks are done at the security areas. Then we are not safe. Protect us Oh God.
Jay Subi @JohnPaulAdede #TerroristPlayground @denisokari @ntvkenya wonderful piece of investigative journalism. No one is safe in Kenya, not even the president.
Polycap ceedorf @Ceeedorf An award winning documentary by @denisokari we are so vulnerable we need prayers
