Ringtone Escapes Unhurt after Rogue Driver Nearly Ran Him Over during His Video Shoot on Nairobi Streets (VIDEO)

Singers and crews are sometimes often put in highly dangerous situations in order to give a more authentic result to their music videos. This has, sadly, on many occasions lead to tragedy on the set. This was almost witnessed during Ringtone’s video shoot.

Last Sunday, flamboyant Gospel singer, Ringtone suffered a mini-scare after a rogue driver sped through the street he was shooting his latest video from. The shoot, taking place outside the Macmillan Library was slated to commence at noon till evening but had to run into the night.

According to Ringtone, a speeding white car approached in the middle of the shoot making him duck onto the curb for his life disrupting the shoot.

The unknown person(s) driving a white Volkswagen Toureg , attempted to drive though the set of the video shoot which had been cordoned off for the shoot and left some of the recording equipment broken.

However, the singer recovered his nerve and carried on with the shoot for his latest jam, “Muziki Ni Dawa”.

A shaken Ringtone shared the experience with his fans on Facebook and uploaded a clip of the car speeding off at the scene;

Upcoming Artist Accuses Kenyan Radio Presenters & DJs of Demanding Sex or Money To Play Songs

This is an open letter to a section of radio presenters and DJs by fast-rising dancehall artist, Blaqy, of the hit, Show Me. This guy has taken shots at all the ‘bigwigs’ in showbiz.

 The Kenyan music industry has indeed come from far as facts and figures indicate but looking at the whole growth theory analytically, not all and sundry agree some are adamant like 2Pac (RIP), they see no changes. Growth comes with changes and since change is inevitable I believe it’s time we come out and give our ‘unspoken’ concerning what goes on the industry.

Let us dissect this Kenyan entertainment scene; we will call it ‘operation toboa’. I have received numerous complaints over time but I decided to play mum; not that I am scared to write, hell NO! I saved it and time is now. New Year new ways they say. Have you ever wondered why your favorite local station play lists seem to only play particular musicians? Even when their music is not all that or abysmal? And why is it that, the faces in 254 music scene remain the same for the last decade, with the number of upcoming artists who are lucky to make it mainstream less than the presidents the country has had since independent? Does it mean that there are no new talents or are there some protocols that are to be adhered to? Terms and conditions applied?

I am saying this because you and I know, there are thousands of musicians who make very good music and probably we might never get to hear of? It’s a shame. Charity begins at home and though a prophet is never honored in his home town it does not permit the relevant quarters to foot for foreign art and leave our very own to languish in absolute deplorable situation. i am left to wonder, where is the problem? For example have you noticed how much Bongo, Naija, Jamaican and American music plays in our local stations? I mean does it apply that if I went to these countries I’d get Kenyan music on high rotation? aaah ah! I don’t think so.

No wonder the biggest and best paying shows are graced by foreign who wreck in big money leaving our very own with peanuts paid as curtain raiser fee? Apart from of course NNSL (Niko Na Safaricom Live) who are doing a commendable job. I challenge us to try and look at this issue deeply. How does one stay afloat with cliché music style, ideas, lyrics, melody when the world keeps revolving? No wonder our ‘best’ after a decade will show you no album just a compilation of singles you are tired of? Literally nothing new.

BLAQY was here early this year to talk about his ups and downs. The video was not explicit but rated and compared to others far graphic that get airplay. Make me understand why you play such content yet our very own music you don’t talk of double standards or what is it? Even after spending on high quality music, presenters and DJs do not want to promote local talent, period, he continues. I can write a whole lot but allow me to do a synopsis of people adversely mentioned or rumored to be the hardest nuts to crack.

Mzazi willy m tuva of mambo mseto fame,a citizen radio and tv host in on the hangman for allegedly claiming to nurture upcoming artists who only die after their debut interview because their songs never get rotation airplay even after he promises to showcase them after praising them on jobs well executed. .ha ha ha I can’t help but laugh. Is this really true?let me not dwell on the money side of the story I.e pay for airplay.there are also claims that Mzazi plays on a high rotation Jaguar,Chameleon and Diamond .And grandpa records artist who also frequent and perform even twice in a month at the mseto wakilisha event that happens every Tuesday at club tribeka.some regular revelers say  that they are tired with the recycling of artists when there are many out there who are constantly chasing tuva for a chance to showcase themselves. And then the ‘lady specie syndrome’ that goes like they must give ‘it’ for them to begiven a chance.i mean its get laid to get airplayed.i’ve heard this numerously with several presenters and DJs being accused. I will be waiting to hear their take on  the latter

DJ Pinye is also on the grill as local artists accuse him coz he rarely plays local content on his show the Beat. Rumor is that, he only plays you if you are in certain monetary terms and conditions agreed upon.

G Money the HomeBoyz radio host not left out as it is alleged that he doesn’t play local  Dance hallbut rather chooses to air even explicit international content. BLAQY says that it’s almost impossible to reach these radio personalities.

DJ Wesley is also said to be complicated as he tells you to email content but then it’s like he never goes through his mailbox coz u listen to their playlist its almost crammable [sic] that you even the sequence of songs. Same goes to all local stations a music fan says listener-ship is boring totally.

DJ Kalonje closes this ‘list of shame’ As artist feel that since he got on radio,he has changed and its nowadays difficult to deal with him. What happened to the play 254 music at 60% initiative? That was meant to uplift local talent and also create income? How come we still have soap operas whose themes are sexual on tv yet simple music videos are banned e.g. you guy by P unit and just recently show me by BLAQY who is currently working on a new song and is planning to visit Jamaica and parts of Europe to shoot the next video

But it’s not all that bad as Willis Raburu has been honored for tweeting and retweeting new music and art content that is shared on his timeline without bias. Club DJs are also doing brilliant job as they play music that’s not played on radio and TV. Guess that’s it, pheeeew! So much going on in this music industry.

I will be waiting to hear their take on the latter.

Signed

Blaqy

Do you agree with him?

UPDATE: We contacted the people adversely mentioned in this story, and here are their responses: https://www.ghafla.co.ke/news/music/item/15146-kenya-s-music-bigwigs-respond-to-upcoming-artistes-claims-that-they-are-rotten

After Dramatic Break up Huddah Now Wants Prezzo Back So Bad

They say make hay while the sun shines. And former BBA – The Chase – contestant, Huddah Monroe sure knows how to. She may be miles upon miles away in Ghana but she’s been keeping tabs with what’s happening in the local scene.

Just hours after his ‘rapcellency’ Prezzo and his latest Tanzanian catch broke-up, Prezzo’s old flame, Huddah ran amok on Twitter ‘calling dibs’ on the bad boy saying he’s now hers opening up about what she feels about him.

It all started with a reassurance to Prezzo that he shouldn’t be lonely as she’s ‘coming home’.;

Huddah then revealed why she wants Prezzo back so bad: S.E.X.!;

She then went through Prezzo’s TL and immediately retweeted a tweet by Prezzo explaining why women are always on him like a fly on faeces;

Huddah even asked KQ to put her on the next flight to Nairobi;

But that was just a pie of the pizza as she went on to poke fun at Chagga Barbie (Prezzo’s immediate ex);

Asked whether she loves Prezzo or it’s infatuation, Huddah had this to say;

Huddah then did something all jealous women in love do;

At some point however, she had some doubts over his reunion with Prezzo;

It will be remembered that Huddah went on a Twitter rampage hurling insults faster than UZI machine gun spits rounds after it emerged that Prezzo had allegedly referred to her as “mali ya serikali”.

The Collabo Between Sauti Sol And Hussein Machozi Is Finally Out. Check It Out Here

Last year, it was announced that Sauti Sol and Tanzanian Bongo sensation Hussein Machozi. For those of you who do not know Hussein Machozi, he is the lad that gave us “Kafia Ghetto”. A song that rocked Kenyans back in 2007 and was by my not so humble estimations was the biggest track in Kenya and Tanzania.

The track that is relevant to us today is called “Utapenda”. The track that was done in Sauti Sol’s “Kitchen” is a very refreshing break from the usual for Hussein Machozi and indeed for Sauti Sol whom I suspect were seeking to cross over to Tanzania seeing as they are already a household name in Kenya.

Anyway, the track is a good track which has amalgamated the island feel (complete with xylophones) and African drums with a keyboard to harmonize the otherwise clashing sounds so well. I am immensely impressed by the production work that was done on the instrumentals! He had better be in the running for awards this year -and by he I mean Mudigi Savara whom I hear created the instrumentals.

The vocals are so well put together but i was puzzled on not hearing Chimano’s set of vocal chords on the track. It seemed to be a duet between Bien and Hussein but none the less, the track is awesome!

I cannot say much about the song’s content because I was lost in enjoying the nitty gritties of the song which were near perfect! Check the song out below and enjoy this wonderful musical offering:

Talented Kenyan Actress Stars in 2 Leading Nigerian Movies; Here are Her Photos on Set

As Lupita Nyong’o continues to make Kenya proud, regionally we are also making great inroads. Kenyan star, Lizz Njagah who won the best actress award in London Greek Film Festival last year, for her performance in our Greek/Kenyan road movie “The Return of Lazarus” as well as the PAMSA award for Best Kenyan Actress of 2013 started her New Year with a bang!

Lizz was reportedly missing from the successful premiere of “House of Lungula” in Nyali Cinemax in Mombasa last Friday the 17th of January and her husband, director Alexandros Konstantaras mentioned to the audience that she was in Lagos, Nigeria filming not one but two movies which will hopefully premiere later this year!

All these come after the rumors that Lizz is also working on her directorial debut on a film that she is writing herself and will coproduce with a big media house in Kenya. For those that said 2013 was the busiest year for Lizz. 2014 is here to prove the opposite!

Here are some photos of her on set in Lagos;

Eko Dydda Comes With Another Super Hot Track – J.E.S.U.S

Eko Dydda is my absolute favourite Kenyan rapper because of his CRAZY innovative flow.

I’ve literally never heard any other rapper rapping with a style like his ‘stammer, stutter’ style, and in his latest track, J.E.S.U.S, he proves that he can keep on coming with it without sounding repetitive.

This time around he partners with upcoming female gospel artist Signature, who delivers the hook smoothly

signaturejesus.png

after hearing her on the chorus, perhaps there is a future for her, but she has to step her fashion game up first!

And then there was Bary, who also managed to match up with Eko Dydda in terms of delivery, although in some parts they sound too much alike

barijesus.png

To add to everything, the producer Jacky B scattered some of those soulful high-pitched voice samples across the song, so if you’re into those like me, you’ll feel this one.

Video was shot by J Blessing, who tried to do an in-house studio type of thing, but the jury is still out on that one. Perhaps you guys can let me know in the comments if you think they pulled it off. In the meantime, here is the video to Eko Dydda’s ‘J.E.S.U.S’

Prezzo’s Tanzanian Ex Girlfriend Finally Forgives Him

We had barely recovered from Chagga Barbie’s vicious first salvo at Prezzowhen she opened a can of worms exposing her former lover.

In the midst of a stream profanity, she revealed that Prezzo was broke and mocked him for his $8000 Chrysler.

This is how part of what she said “ Range unazo couple sio au nikale ka $8000 crossfire Chrysler ka 2002 kaliko na miles 150,000 plus hapa wivu ulikuwa unakusumbua”

After spilling all this vitriol,she finally cooled off and said that she had forgiven him in this statement

Am thankful to have family and few friends that support me unconditional, was advised from day one to stay away from him but bse of Power of Love I end up not listening, I followed my heart but @the end I saw it all on my own eyes. Wanna take time to apologize to everyone, I just learn a lesson in a hard way but am thankful too that I cleared my chest. #LoveCanMakeUsActCrazy Prezzo ur not my enemy, I forgive u from my heart n may God be with u n give u everything u have ever wish for. #Peace

A Candid Review Of Wolf Of Wallstreet

 Martin Scorsese’s study of Wall Street excess is beautifully made but madly over the top.

These are the words of Donald Clarke of Irishtimes.com.He then continues to discuss the movie in  one of the most beautifully written reviews ever.Have a look:

Much of the chatter surrounding Martin Scorsese’s latest drunken whale of a movie has focused on the film-maker’s attitude towards his subject’s rampaging immorality.

http://static6.businessinsider.com/image/51bf191decad04d079000013/15-outrageous-scenes-in-martin-scorseses-wolf-of-wall-street-we-cant-wait-to-see.jpg

Based on a memoir of the same name, The Wolf of Wall Street tells the story of a notoriously slippery stockbroker named Jordan Belfort. Played by Leonardo DiCaprio with a foot crammed permanently to the metal, Belfort is seen making his way in a respected Wall Street firm, failing during the 1987 crash and then crawling back to success via dubious deals in cheap stocks.

The film presumes that its audience has no interest in (or is unable to comprehend) the intricacies of Belfort’s financial crimes. Scorsese and his team are far more concerned with showing us how the cash was spent.

Here’s Jordan having a candle rammed up his bottom by an expensive prostitute. Here he is flinging dwarfs at a massive dartboard. Now he’s swallowing Quaaludes by the ladle-full. Oh, look. He’s just punched his wife in the stomach. How charming.

One can’t help but think the film’s early enemies were asking the wrong question. Scorsese and DiCaprio have argued that no approval of Belfort’s activities is implied. This is true enough. But both men are certainly experienced enough to understand cinema’s ability to allow decent people a little recreational paddling in vicarious immorality. Scorsese’s Goodfellas – whose grammar and rhythms Wolf apes – would not be nearly so entertaining if it concerned dishonest ice cream salesmen.

Shot by Mexican wizard Rodrigo Prieto in a dazzling array of sun-blasted colours, featuring the expected blasts of popular songs, The Wolf of Wall Street unquestionably wallows in those scenes of drug taking, sexual impropriety and conspicuous spending (though not, to be fair, in Belfort’s violence towards women).

DiCaprio has, rather bizarrely, compared this hugely expensive, enormously long film to “punk rock”. It’s hard to think of a picture less suggestive of that homemade rough-edged music. If we must have an analogy from popular music, The Wolf of Wall Street is closer to the shagging’n’spending school of hip-hop. Fair enough. We can dip into those worlds and then, untainted, return to our morally upright, economically budgeted lives.

The problem is not to do with the fact that the film features scenes of naked excess. The problem is that it features little else. There are some great, darkly comic set-pieces in The Wolf of Wall Street. But, with few moments of calm to set them in relief, they struggle to capture exhausted, pummelled attention. By the time we get to the excellent episode in which, laid low by ancient Quaaludes, Belfort is forced to crawl from country club to sports car, only the sturdiest constitutions will have any more capacity for attenuated chemical abuse.

Scorsese and Terence Winter, his screenwriter, are to be applauded for not giving into sentiment and imposing any sort of redemption. The total absence of nuance in Belfort’s personality is, however, deadening. He begins as an acquisitive monster, becomes a little more acquisitive and a little more monstrous, and then continues in that state until the film eventually allows us to leave. There’s no drama. There’s no internal conflict.

At times, the film seems almost Hobbitian in its inability to finish a scene that is already well past its natural lifespan. It’s not often one encounters a film that could, quite comfortably, lose an entire hour. But, clocking in at 180 minutes, Wolf is just that picture. It hardly needs to be said that it’s brilliantly edited and superbly acted – Jonah Hill is hilarious as Belfort’s slippery lieutenant – but the endless repetition would wear down even the most fervent Philip Glass fan.

“That’s the whole point!” I hear you say. The Wolf of Wall Street gets across the boredom of hedonism and the nauseating nature of unrestrained immorality.

What’s that you’re saying, trench-bound soldier? The noise and the explosions are making you a little nervous? That’s the whole point! What are you complaining about?

Mother In Law’s Mboch (Maria) Unleashes Her Fun And Sexy Side (Photo)

If you are an ardent fan of citizen’s Popular show Mother-In-Law, you have spotted one of the characters in the series. A certain Maria.

Maria is not your typical mboch, she is crafty, nosey and can sometimes be manipulative. For your secrets to be safe you have to cough up some cash, a lesson that Olive’s Mum learnt. She had to part with quite an amount of money for Maria to stay mum about her clandestine meeting with Selina’s husband Charlie.

We are used to seeing Maria in an apron and dull clothes, but this lady can clean up nice.I happened to lay my hand on a photo of her and Mother-In-law’s Olive and I just had to share

When Celebs Break Up: A Look at Prezzo & His Tanzanian Ex’s Case

Any showbiz, world over, is full of its own drama. From bullying to boyfriend stealing to fighting to nasty break ups. That’s what makes the entertainment scene buzz with life. However, with all the nastiness going on, there are things that ought to be kept private. Instead they end up unfolding right in the eyes of the public.

Most recently, as recent as yesterday, Prezzo’s immediate former girlfriend, Chagga Barbie, made some unflattering comments about his rapcellency saying, “Sasa ukibembeleza ni kuwish Happy Bday japo nikupost ilikuwaje? Sasa nitaweka msg zote mpaka ukibembeleza nikununulie hadi Giusseppe Sneakers Ukiomba Nikupe Ticket Matako wewe, mwanaume gani wewe Mario wewe ulifikiri mie nahonga mburula kaaa wewe? Nimezoea kutunzwaaaaa…….siilikuwa Ukiomba nikufichie Siri Kibamia wewe………”

Prezzo was understandably upset with the comments, but he responded in a mature fashion, which is a rarity when it comes to showbiz feuds. The rapper opted to do business in a way showing that he wasn’t keen about the comments.

It’s not only shameful for celebs to fight in public but also demeaning on their end.

Fighting in public is not appropriate. Never has been. Never will be. No one cares about what your significant other was doing to annoy or upset you. If it was necessary to confront him or her about it, please do it secretly the same way you got hitched.

My two cents? Just because you’re on an emotional roller coaster doesn’t mean that those ups and downs should be available for public consumption. Journal in private and cry with close friends. Just stay away from your internet-connected computer when you’re tempted to chronicle every stage of the breakup.

At all costs, resist the social media rebound. Don’t post randy or intimate photos of your ex online. It only goes to show how limited matter there is between your ears. If you catch yourself posting anything that you hope will make your ex dismayed, don’t do it. It’s a transparent move that will only make you look bad.

Woe unto you if you do this, the paparazzi is watching.

The Real Deal Behind The Kenya Power Charity Cup!

Kenya Power Charity Cup is an annual football tournament that is a contest between 4 Kenya Premier League and Division One teams as selected by fans in a voting system. The whole purpose of the Charity Cup, much like the Community Shield in English Football, is to raise money that will in turn be distributed to community-based sporting initiatives to encourage and promote sport as a healthy means of livelihood among the youth.

The first Kenya Power Charity Cup event was held on 2nd February 2103 and due to its success – through cemented partnerships with the Kenya Red Cross, Deloitte &Touche, Kenya Football Federation, Kenya Premier League and of course Kenya Power –it was able to attain the status of one of the most important events in the Kenyan football calendar. It raised a total sum of Ksh. 5,626,445.80 and some of the notable projects that the money was used for include:

·         Lighting City Stadium

·         New football pitch in Kawangware

·         Social Halls in Dandora

During the launch of this year’s Charity Cup back in October 2013, a groundbreaking ceremony at Kawangware Sports Ground attended by Nairobi County Governor Dr. Evans Kidero and Kenya Power MD and CEO Dr. Ben Chumo, the event had the promise to be bigger, better and hopefully have more impact than the last one.

 2013 saw 4 teams with the most active fan base participate in the cup and those were: Gor Mahia FC, Sofapaka FC, Western Stima FC and Mathare United FC – with SOFAPAKA FC emerging as the Charity Cup winners.

In the next Charity Cup set for 2nd February 2014, the winning team gets to take home Ksh. 1, 000,000, the second runner up takes home Ksh. 600,000 while the third team will get to keep Ksh. 300,000.

May the best team win!

Kenyan Artists Paid Over 1,000,000

The Kenyan music scene is growing rapidly with new innovative and creative initiatives. A few new distribution services took off in 2013, on of them, Mdundo.com, is today announcing that they’ve paid more than 1 million Kenyan Shillings to Kenyan artists and producers since they started in December 2012.

The Head of Music at Mdundo.com, Thiru Mungai, imagines that this figure is only the beginning, “Mdundo is a small brand in Kenya reaching only a small share of the market. It will probably take the whole of 2014 before we reach a significant number of fans and start making a financial impact for the content creators. I believe that our service will prove a lot more generous in 2014 if our growth continues”.

Mdundo’s CEO, Martin Nielsen, adds “We’ve managed to pay content creators 5-10 ksh per download in 2013 which is significantly higher than any other music distributors around. This doesn’t mean that we can’t do better, the market is huge and we are facing an industry where piracy is accounting for the biggest market share”.

Mdundo.jpg

Mdundo is aiming to make it easier to download local music and fans can download any new song for free from mdundo.com or buy access to all the songs in 1 month for only 100ksh.

Rabbit Kaka Sungura released his newest album “Before The Success, Success Begins Now” exclusively on Mdundo.com: “It’s easy for me to follow my downloads from my artist dashboard. When I release on Mdundo easy for my fans to get my music legally”.

“Mike Sonko” Allegedly Looking For KoT Bigwig Masaku After He Gets Exasperated At Being Made Fun Of

Masaku is one of the funniest tweeps on Twitter who has an uncanny ability to craft funny posts and memes. And of late the recipient of his concentrated wit has been Sonko. And as a result, a twitter “Mike Sonko” has responded. Whether the account is the real Mike Sonko’s or not is still unknown as my attempts to reach the real Mike Sonko were fruitless.

I even reached out to Sonko’s daughter in attempt to find out whether the account is his to no avail. Anyway, the twitter “Mike Sonko” has insisted that it is the real Mheshimiwa. And he even gave a number to prove that it’s him. Anyway, check out what the “Mike Sonko” tweeted:

Former Wedding Show Host Nonny Gathoni Flaunts Her Body In A Sexy Bikini (Photo)

In a world where women are bombarded and put psychologically under siege by unrealistic pictures and comments of big booties, flat stomachs and double D’s it is always great to have a voice of reason, someone with positive body image. And that is Bailey Weddings Presenter Nonny Gathoni.

She posted this photo Captioned:

God made us all unique to ourselves, I see women torturing themselves coz of body issues. It’s sad. I was not made with the big booty and boobs, my Ribs stick out I’m nowhere near curvy. My most beautiful asset is actually my intelligent Brain! Try beat that with ur chunky booty!

This is not the first time the woman has come in defense of her body. Early last year she posted this in response to people saying that she is “too skinny”

Lupita’s Father Finally Speaks of His Daughter’s Hollywood Success

Kenya’s silver screen wonder kid, Lupita Nyong’o has been the toast of the awards season so far, picking up prize after prize for her role in 12 Years A Slave. His dad has, however, been watching from the sidelines as his daughter conquers the movie world until recently when he broke his silence.

Speaking to The Standard, Prof Anyang’ Nyong’o expressed his pride on his daughter.

“We are very happy. I think it has been a big reward to her hard work and commitment to theatre since she was a child,” said the outgoing ODM SG.

Himself an actor, Nyong’o revealed how he has been a member of the Phoenix Players, the same place where Lupita sharpened her acting skills on stage.

“I have been a member of the Phoenix players for dog years and before a member of the Donovan Maule Theatre (the precursor of Phoenix Players),” divulges the professor.

Lupita’s dad did forget to thank Kenyans for the support they have accorded her daughter.

“I am very happy with the support that Kenyans have given Lupita. Social media is awash with goodwill messages and celebrations toward her achievement,” he said.

Looks like the love of the arts has been passed on from her father who admits to having a deep love and appreciation for theatre.

Banned Movie “Wolf Of Wallstreet” Now More Popular Than Ever!

Forbidden fruits taste sweetest. Despite the Kenya Film Classification in Kenya outlawing Wolf of Wall street the film is now popular than ever.

From the dingy street of Rive road to Nakuru town, people are still watching the film and actually enjoying it and recommending it to their friends with reports indicating that this is probably one of the most watched films. Turns out the banning of the film made it cooler and people are still tolerating sitting through the 3 hours that it takes to watch it.The box office may be losing out but the pirates are have struck gold since it is now being peddled on the streets for a throw away price of a 100 or 50 bob.

The movie is based on a memoir by the stockbroker Jordan Belfort, who founded the investment firm Stratton Oakmont in a Long Island garage and spent much of the Nineties gaining fortune through dishonest ways. The film follows Belfort’s fast rise to the top, the drugs,the debauchery, 569 variations of the F-word and the unending supply of girls.

President Uhuru Kenyatta Congratulates Lupita Nyong’o

Lupita Nyong’o isn’t just hot in Hollywood, she is currently getting quite some attention at home aswell. Long after I said I think she is hot (yes, I must rub that in -and the fact that I said so back in 2012), it would seem the world has come to agree with my sentiments. But this is about her accomplishments in Tinsel Town.

President Uhuru Kenyatta is one of the people who came out to congratulate her on her Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress and he did so in line with his government’s election slogan of a “digital” government -via Facebook.

He took to Facebook yesterday and posted a congratulatory message to Lupita who happen s to be the scion of one of his most vociferous critics; Prof. Anyang’ Nyong’o.

Anyway, this was his statement:

Congratulations Lupita Nyong’o for your Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress for #12YearsASlave. Kenya is proud of your achievements.

Prezzo’s Tanzanian Ex Has Been Talking Greasy About The Rapper, Prezzo Retailiates! (PHOTO)

While his immediate ex has been talking defecate on social media, Prezzo has been mum but he finally broke his silence and posted a response and it is quite the response indeed, it reminded me of one of the most amoral philosophers I have whose material I have ever encountered: Gracian Balthasar.

The man, Gracian Balthasar once famously said, “There is no revenge like oblivion, through which they are buried in the dust of their unworthiness.”
And indeed, Prezzo seems to have r4ead from the script as he has refused to acknowledge the insults of the bitter Betty, betrayed beau. While Chaga Barbie is talking greasy garments all day, Prezzo is on his grind chilling with tanzanian money makers. This is what he has instead posted:

Photo of the Day: Eric Omondi Makes ‘Grand Entrance’ at a Nairobi 5-Star Hotel. No Other Celeb Can Match This

Funnyman Eric Omondi frolics are just out of this world! If he’s not cross-dressing or walking on Bob Collymore, he’s feigning illness and even placed on a stretcher. Well, he’s always managed to crack us up…most of the time.

Still on that, the millionaire comedian recently made a ‘grand entrance’ at the Boma Hotels with a unique ‘ride’ with the valet ready at hand to help him park it (am not sure if he managed though). Take a look;

And what did he have to say? “Ndio nimefika hapa boma 5 star hotel for an important meeting…napewa v.i.p parking.”

Is This Notorious Hollywood Playboy Lupita Nyong’o’s New Man? (PHOTOS)

I came across an article on mediatakeout that alleged that Lupita Nyong’o is currently enjoying a fling with one of the most talented individuals I have ever heard of; Jared Leto. For those of you not in the know, Jared Letto is a member of “Rock band” 30 Seconds To Mars along with his older brother.

Anyway, I know nothing of the functional noise that people these days call “Rock”. I prefer Chuck Berry and Little Richard but that was influenced by my significantly older relations. Anyway, the lad who from what I discovered when I begun to trawl the internets for information on him is quite the lad-about-the-block in Hollywood having dated or otherwise been loosley linked to a string of beauties including Adam Levine’s ex.

Anyway, mediatakepout alleged that they:

“spoke with a HOLLYWOOD ACTRESS who told us that Lupita Nyong’o is dating actor Jared Leto. Nothing TOO SERIOUS yet . .. but they’re seeing where it goes.

We’re told that they’re both REALLY feeling each other though . . .”

Anyway, check out the pair getting all buddy-buddy and cosy below:

Lupita Nyong’o Kissed by ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ Actor (PHOTOS)

“The Wolf of Wall Street”, the movie, doesn’t need any introduction in Kenya, does it? No, it doesn’t especially after the Government banned it in the country. Anyhow, on Sunday night, Lupita Nyong’o was lucky enough after Hollywood heavyweight Leonardo DiCaprio stopped to give her a kiss on the red carpet.

As Lupita was posing for pictures, “The Wolf of Wall Street”, star Leonardo strolled past her – and couldn’t resist stopping to heap praise on the stunning star, reports Daily Mail.

King’ang’i And Larry In The Morning: If Someone Told You That They Were Gay, Would It Change Your Relationship With Them?

Early last week a picture started trending on the internet, it was a charred body of a gay person. He had been lynched by a mob because of being gay. How ridiculous is that? Why would you kill someone because of being gay, why would you kill someone because they have a different sexuality from yours?

And before you tell me about what the Bible says about homosexuals, the Bible has a lot to say about some of the sins we do daily, worse, way worse than being gay. And if God was really mad at gays, I’m sure he would have gotten rid of them

Fast forward to the end of last week, renowned writer Binyavanga Wainaina came out of the closet. The first A List celebrity to come out of the closet and that has been the talk of the town over the last two days. Some reacted in shock while others commended him.

In the spirit of these happening over the last week, Larry and King’ang’I in the morning took to the mic to pose these questions:

If someone told you that they were gay, would it change your relationship with them?

If they were your business partners, close friends, family members etc, would you lynch them as Ugandans did to someone recently?

Tune in to Classic 105 and get to listen or contribute to this conversation

Jaguar is making some big moves. It seems that after dominating the Kenyan scene for a minute, he now wants to move to conquering East Africa. But as they say, always look for friends to make you landing softer when you’re in someone else’s back yard!

And who would someone of Jaguar’s stature reach out to? Well, Tanzania’s biggest and heaviest hitters: Ommy Dimpoz and A-Y, his longtime collaborator.

And they have already hit the studio. Check them out below:
