In January, upcoming dancehall artist pulled a Kendrick Lamar, a move that shocked many showbiz opinion-shapers. However, according to Blaqy he was ‘doing something that no one else had the balls to despite the state of affairs’.
According to Blaqy, ‘Mzazi’ Willy Tuva of Mambo Mseto, Homeboyz’s G-Money, DJKalonje, DJ Wesley and DJ Pinye do not support local content and asserted that Tuva solits, no, demands for cash and sex from upcoming artists to have their music played on radio.
And now, the Show Me hit-maker, like the Biblical prodigal son, has gone back at the feet of the people he blackened their names pleading for forgiveness and imploring them to guide him in his music career.

“I finally realized why Tuva is befittingly referred to as ‘Mzazi’. He nurtures talents and am now more than ready to work with him for my own good,” said a remorseful Blaqy.
Contacted, Tuva confirmed that Blaqy extended an olive branch to him and being who he is he decided to let it off.
“Ndio alikuja akasema pole nimetubu naomba unionyeshe njia,” corroborates the celebrated TV and radio host adding, “I advised him to use the right channels to air his grievances.”
Blaqy also insists that he has called a truce with all the deejays he fired salvos at except G Money who is out of the country.
On the other hand, DJ Kalonje denies being approached by Blaqy for an admission of guilt. Instead he says he hasn’t heard from Blaqy from the day he left his CD on his laptop at a club in Eastlands. The celebrated deejay took the opportunity to clear the air over the issue.
“Blaqy lacks patience. I asked him to give me some time to sample his song at home but he insisted I do it at the club,” laments Kalonje adding, “Before music is played on radio, as a DJ I have to sample it first and decided whether to add it to my playlist.”
Asked whether Blaqy has reached out to him for expression of regret, Kalonje’s answer is a firm NO.
“Me sijaskia from him since that day…” reveals Kalonje.
Blaqy insists that he reached out to all the deejays he hit out at and even asked them to participate in my next music project.
“I’ve asked Tuva to take part in my music since he has rich knowledge of the industry,” acknowledges Blaqy.
