Bamboo has taken down the post he had made accusing Bruce Odhiambo of rape. The post which I found not only brazen but in bad taste accused Bruce Odhiambo of raping a woman, Bamboo’s ex and then defrauding Bamboo of 3 million shillings. Though the post has since been deleted, you can read it here.
When I called up Bruce, he raised some valid questions and I too had some of my own such as why Bamboo is posting an allegation about a criminal act instead of simply reporting the matter to police. But I guess the lad has his reasons.
When he took down his post, he reiterated his accusation but said that he was taking it down because his ex girlfriend and friend had asked him to take it down. Bamboo then went on to tag her to the post -most likely to assert authenticity.

There are very many ways to talk smack. I should know. i am very astute when it comes to insulting people without their realizing it. I also speak fluent sarcasm and razor sharp wit. So I was rather riled when I came across a Los Angeles based newspaper that carried a rather suspect headline.
The titled might have been meant to play with Lupita’s role or it could aswell have been a racist jibe, who knows. It depends on who does the picking. I however felt slighted because it made a mockery of the dark days humanity -nay- Africans endured during the days of the trans-Atlantic slave trade days.

For some time now, Candy n Candy Records seemed to have veered off its core business in the entertainment scene. Founded a year ago, the production house prides itself in specializing in all genres of music and collaborating with top producers to achieve the highest quality music for the client.
However, that seems not be the case.
For the past 3 months, fans and opinion-shapers have raised concerned about Candy n Candy stating that the record label seems to be treading on a different path. The complaints are majorly about Candy n Candy’s lack of release of any music within the said period.
Contacted, the label’s CEO Joe Kariuki argues that they have laid down procedures on how projects are done.
“The public should not worry. As I speak we’ve just released two videos; one for Baby Madaha and the other by Shady Black”, states Joe.
As an assurance he asks stakeholders to give them time and see the kind of stuff that will be coming out of the music production house.
“We are still focused, watu wakue wapole waone nini tutafanya starting this Saturday (8th March) in Mombasa”, promises Joe.
Concerns had been raised regarding the company’s ‘new line of business’ that tended to lean towards more events management and merchandize sale as opposed to music and film production.

Bamboo is a household name. No, not the type of grass but the rapper. He is known in every corner of the country and for good reason -he is behind some of the hottest hits in the country both as a solo performing artist and as a member of the group known as K-South. The rapper alongside his friend and long time collaborator Abbas Kubaff have been responsible for a slew of hits.
But ltoday, he is in the news for a different reason. he is in the news for a crime. he is the accuser and Bruce Odhiambo the accused. Just who is Bruce Odhaimbo? Well, he is one of the biggest names ever to be spoken within the Kenyan entertainment circles. But that’s the thing; within. industry insiders know him and respect him for his accomplishments but to the blind and deaf, he is a mysterious figure. however, his work for TNA’s campaign team is what is under scrutiny here.
While TNA and Jubilee were campaigning, there were artists who performed at their rallies, turning their rallies -albeit for a few minutes- into a free concert. Bruce Odhiambo was the mastermind behind making that machinery work seamlessly.
Bamboo early today came out accusing Bruce of defrauding him of 3 million shillings, monies due to him as payment for a song he performed for the party. He is alleging that Bruce kept the money when he was paid by TNA.
He then takes his accusations a notch higher and accuses him of raping his girlfriend!
I called up Bruce Odhiambo. He has thus far only agreed to speak to Uncle Chim Tuna. Understandable indeed. Anyway, he phad this to say, “Bamboo’s accusation, is nonsense. How well do you know Bamboo? (I replied and said I only know him as an artist and even at that, from his work) Then would he ever command 3 million for a performance? The money he is asking for was never due him. Look, I approached some artists and asked them to make songs for TNA and from the success of the songs, they would get an opportunity to perform. Bamboo and Chiwawa never appeared for any of their performances but Abbas came. He was paid handsomely. Have you heard him complain? Infact, you should call him up!”
“What did you say your name is again? (I replied Uncle Chim Tuna) Alright then Uncle Chim, if I asked my woman to accuse you of rape wouldn’t she? When Bamboo demanded money, I flat out refused to give him a cent because that contradicted our arrangement. He then told me he was going to sully my name. He told me he was going to accuse me of rape. Seems like he lived up to his words.”
The question that now begs is whether he or Bamboo is telling the truth. bamboo’s allegations amount to serious criminal acts. They can have Bruce prosecuted by the state and then imprisoned if found guilty. However, Bruce’s statement also are serious allegations and grounds for a civil suit. If he decided to take Bamboo to task, he could bankrupt the artist if he proved the allegations libelous.

Colonel Moustapha and Prezzo have one thing in common; Huddah. Though that is just about where the similarities end. Colonel does a different brand of music and Prezzo is “on to the next one” so far as Huddah is concerned. Actually, he has been on the next one for a minute now.

Madlove Lounge- Kenya and Rough Diamonds Projects {S.A} present “Live Life Loud.” An urban Gospel festival featuring Legendary 116Clique co-founder Sho Baraka {Gospel & Conscious Hiphop artiste}, S.O the Kid {UK}, Gregory Cassim (S.A} along with Kenya’s finest Urban Gospel artistes including Kelele Takatifu, Number 8, Kris Mmh Baba, Yung Nnoiz, Maluda, Nita Hungu, GregoryXiii, Shrink Dance Krew & the Madlove Lounge Family.
The festival takes place on 7th March 2014 at Nairobi Chapel Church {Ngong Road}. There would be an artistes/creative breakfast from 10am till 1pm {Free}. Madlove Lounge-Kenya and Rough Diamonds Projects have previously joined forces to bring to Kenya Award winning artistes like DaTruth, The Ambassador, Jahaziel, Lecrae, Trip Lee, Tedashi, Andy Mineo among others.
In the local front, Madlove Lounge has been responsible in mentoring Gospel artistes from 2007 through Bible studies, artistes breakfast/workshops, annual Hiphop-poetry mixtapes, outreaches and a bi-monthly Madlove Lounge event that has given a platform and launched many urban artistes shaping the youth culture.
