And that is why you see a lot of celebrities either giving the paparazzi the middle finger salute, screaming at them or even assaulting them .Lupita recently had a run in with the paparazzi who took a bikini photo of the lass who is currently in Hawaii for the Maui Film Festival. Lupita was however polite unlike other celebrities and poked fun at the person who took a bikini photo of her
“The paparazzi: They got me good!!!” She posted on her Instagram page .Adding that “First Pap Stakeout .Zoom Lenses Suitable for Horror Films”

lucky for Lupita, she looked pretty fabulous in the white Marysia bikini paired with a gigantic hat and over-sized sunglasses.

Days after Groove Awards 2014, the biggest awards ceremony is still eliciting mixed reactions. After former Crossover 101 presenter, Patrique Viyerrah, weighed in on winners of the night, different opinion is still being received.
Fast-rising Gospel singer, Bonny Mosh has also broken his silence about a section of Groove Awards 2014. The ‘Father God’ singer congratulated all the Groove Awards winners but had special message for Pitson and Hopekid.
In a message posted on his Facebook page, he says;
“Congrats to all the Groove Awards Winners 2014. It’s an inspiration to all gospel fans and for us we artistes.
Big up to Pitson for the soldiers’ swagg, Christ’s soldier and to my fellow general, Hopekid; remember to use the platform accorded to take our Lord’s ministry to another level and bring Him as many souls as we can deliver.”

Fame definitely has its perks, the great deals, free stuff and the awesome endorsements from big companies.
Choosing a celebrity to represent your brand has become trite in Africa and the world due to obvious reasons such as helping the company establish validity, enabling the audience to easily remember the brand and the ability to attract the masses since celebrities have followers in multi-folds.

So, with the approach of Father’s Day, I have been doing a series of stories celebrating the journey that is fatherhood, this week I want to focus of two people. the first of whom is DJ Creme. DJ Creme recently had a son whom he has been celebrating and I wanted to have a sit down with him for him to tell us about his journey into fatherhood. This is what he had to say:
“ The walk through this road of father hood has been the best journey I’ve ever traveled. Its been enlightening, its made me a 1000 times better than i was before my son Jamari came through. See, you’d never believe in unconditional love until you get a son who you’d literally do anything for. Ive learnt to cherish every moment with my son, watching him grow, being there to see his first moments in every thing he does. My schedule gets crazy but i always make time, we connect and i know we’ll be the best of friends when he’s all grown and can understand the world around him. I’d never trade being a dad for anything. I wanna be the best dad there is…its a beautiful thing!!
I wrote something for jamari before he as born and i thought id share….

“
I know you will dream and achieve mighty things. I know that you will envision greatness. Greatness comes with an abundance of blessings. Money and power are such..My son, I’ll be truthful, both are sweet, addictive..almost unforgettable.
But take heed, they have destroyed even the strongest at heart. In everything, humility. Never detach yourself from the humble self…such will blow the many winds of prosperity and long life your way.
My son, everything I have written is from the heart and I want you to do it better even than your father did. Ive never doubted it even for a second, I know you shall be great among men..loved and adored by the world.
I can’t wait to see the look on your face as you open this letter some years to come. I’ll be there to hold and hug you, to pat you on the back telling you that the best is yet to come, the good tidings limitless.

Your mother and I will always be there, the three of us, laughing and dancing through life. We shall be there to paint your world with beautiful colors. We shall be there to make your life an unforgettable story.
We love you Jamari…Our Handsome Warrior! “

What shall I get you as a gift? Because as a man, I am averse to all these emotions? I shall get him a bottle of Johnnie Walker. Why? Because dads love whisky.

Kiss F.M’s Shaffie Weru definitely know how to pick them. From Debbie Asila to Jada Joan Mwihaki his women have been nothing short of fine-looking.
Jada who he has been married to for close to five years gave him a daughter a few months ago, a second one after he had one with Debbie a few years ago. It’s been hardly two months but Joan has bounced back and gained back her sexy body. Jada and her husband attended the Red Affair Party recently and looked every inch the hot couple. Shaffie paired his leather pants, leather jacket, Js combo with a t-shirt while Joan looked sexy in a red hot peplum dress and a leopard print clutch.

We’ve seen lists of most paid actors and actresses before but no one has ever, even for a moment, paused to compose the list of the guys that make these screen gods/ goddesses what they are.
So, PR Consultant and a member of the Kenya National Drama Festivals, Chris Wangalwa, has released the list of highest paid directors and the money they earn from plays.
1. Munene wa Mumbi
Kshs3.3 million
The film genre is the easiest category to proceed with to the nationals since the inception of KNDF and no director has benefited more from that than Munene Wa Mumbi. He also made some extra cash from adjudicating at the Regional level; Metropolitan Universities. Munene wa Mumbi is the ear of the principals of Arbadare Region. As long as he is willing to keep stay behind the cameras, Munene will remain one of KNDF’s highest-paid directors.

2. Lilian Madigo
Kshs1.6 million
Lilian gets a lot of attention for her gender in a male dominated job. But with Nakuru Lions continually at the helm of primaries every season and Laiser Hill causing eyebrows this year, Lilian Madigo has proved that she is one of KNDF’s smartest directors. She must have collected 600,000 from Laiser Hill and further 600,000 from her main source, Nakuru Lions. Lilian, known for her calm demeanour, has also found her way onto the national adjudication bench this and many more years to come; a further income source from KNDF.

3. Joseph Murungu
Kshs1.4 million
Joseph Murungu is a brand; an icon; getting hired to kick out the not-so-good items from the competition; it’s all in a day’s work for Joseph Murungu. The director, who is best known for producing comedies, showed this year that he can stand up to his definition. He collected 700,000 from Mary Hill Girls, and a further 500,000 from Kyanyaga Boys for taking them to the nationals. Of course the rest of the remainder, he was an adjudicator at almost all levels of the festival.

4. Oliver Minishi
Kshs1.3 million
This man is not an icon. He is a model. He works for one institution and one institution only; The Kakamega High School. Apparently he pays himself as he is the school principal. Thus, we are not sure whether the figure we have on our table is authentic, as well, he may be the highest paid director.

5. Elisha Otieno
Kshs900,000
Our personnel tried to reach him on a number of occasions always bumping into a wall. Bank statements, all the same, are in tandem with our paperwork. Besides his big earnings with Kenya High, where he choreographs, Elisha has this year decided to venture in film. He took away 400,000 for the Kenya high dance and the remainder from film-making.

6. Cleophas Malala
Kshs800,000
Now honorable, Cleophas Malala has refused to part ways with KNDF. A man accustomed to controversy but ripping big. You need not to be reminded of the shackles of doom wave. He has since gone ample; from his own pockets sponsoring a village school-Makhiakalo-that came second at the nationals. Not touching on his over 300,000 as a County deputy speaker and MCA, Chavakali High and Eldoret Polytechnique are his KNDF wage sources.

7. Xavier Jerry Nato
Kshs. 700,000
Known for directing Utawala Academy, Xavier Jerry Nato ‘might’ be walking out on those kids since the departure of the principal early this year. This time they were at the nationals with only a Narrative. They, however, featured in the top three unlike the other years. Anyway, Xavier had other schools; Karima Girls and Kenya Methodist University. His celebrity status having originated from screen acting, one wonders why he has not produced a film at the KNDF, opting instead for NGOs like UN documentaries. He should be making more than Munene wa Mumbi.

8. Justin Ong’wen
Kshs.690,000
So down to earth, this one item, one school director made more cash from incentives than his wages. Yet his wages were slightly more than that of a lecturer; Kshs. 3,000 per day. I must not remind you that he is the director; Riara Springs.

9. Patrick Ngere
Kshs. 500,000
This is the right guy to strengthen ties with. The Nairobi Girls’ choreographer must have been sad at heart as he was watching from the audience this time round. Even so, he went home dancing with Kshs. 500,000. Patrick Ngere is said to be the ears and mouthpiece of both Metropolitan and Arbadare.

10. Howard Lumumba
Kshs. 400,000
The only director we know who has not collected his wages from any of the schools he directed. Directing Sunshine boys is no joke. Like Justine Ong’wen, Howard Limumba made more from incentives than his documented Kshs. 400,000. He is also driven in a Toyota harrier to and from rehearsal.

Kambua is without a doubt one of the most strikingly beautiful lasses to ever grace our screens and is also one of the most spirited girls to ever get behind a microphone.
The enchanting and accomplished TV (Kubamaba on Citizen TV) and radio presenter (Inuka on Hot 96) recently introduced her beautiful sister and mum. And looking at Kambua’s mum, it’s clear that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

Good looks do run in this family

Octopizzo is one of the celebs who have turned childhood setbacks into success. But in fact there are many stars who come from humble beginnings and families.
When you see him all dolled up in their million shilling and flying to most-sought after holiday destinations, it’s hard to imagine that he could have ever known what it was like to be poor. However, the Namba Nane soon found financial security when he struck out on his own.
This #ThrowbackThursday, the rapper shared a 2010 photo of himself rocking one of the trousers he had borrowed from his barber and recollected how tough things were to him then.
“Throwback back in 2010 The worst part of holding the memories is not the pain. It’s the loneliness of it. Memories need to be shared, remembering is easy. It’s forgetting that’s hard, I’ve never tried to block out the memories of the past, even though some are painful. I don’t understand people who hide from their past. Everything you live through helps to make you the person you are now.
This was me before I knew I’ll ever be someone whom people would look up to, when my whole life was packed lunches and freestyle mixtapes and borrowed Trousers from my barber Kochez in Shilanga, Kibera. #NEVER_GIVE _UP!!”

It’s probably one of the longest running un-cleared rumors around, the rumor that Lillian Nzisa Muli split with her husband four years, Kanene. This is one rumor that Lillian has never bothered to address but she spilled the beans on what was really going on to True Love’s Judith Mwobobia .
Lillian passionately denies that she has separated with her husband; here is an excerpt from the True Love interview
“We are not divorced or separated as purported by the media. I have been married for 4 years now. Why would I still go by his name if we were not together? I’m the type of person who would just drop it” Lillian says.

Lillian and Kanene
Adding that ” I know all sorts of things were said in the media about me and my marriage, that is what happens when you confide in untrustworthy friends who blab to the media and things get blown out of proportion…Contrary to the rumors, I am married to him and plant to be for a very long time”

Gospel whizkid, Bahati, wore a black trouser with white shirt and a black tie matched with an African printed blazer at Groove Awards 2013 to receive his New Artist of the Year Award. The young Gospel star dusted off the outfit during this year’s Groove Awards where he was crowned Male Artiste of the Year.
Trivial as it seems, Bahati’s fans were all over his timeline asking to know why he recycled the same clothes he had at Groove Awards last year.

But because he’s a people’s person, the award-winning singer responded to his fans via a Facebook post. He explains;
“Good evening loyal people I must first agree that you guys really made my Sunday when I heard that we are taking the award home #MALE_ARTIST_GROOVE_AWARDS —- The reason I wore the same Clothes during the speech as last year is to show God that am still the same Kid He honoured 11 months as the New Artist of the Year 2013….. But I believe I am not the reason I have this but its for you #TeamBahati… Each day of my life I work hard to represent the #East_Land_Voice to the World and make #Every_African_Child_Believe YOU CAN BE ANYTHING NO MATTER WHERE YOU COME FROM!!!!! I believe we just started… will meet Happy & Trying Moments– I DON’T PROMISE TO BE PERFECT BUT WILL GIVE MY BEST to make GOD & #TEAM_BAHATI #TEAM_CONVEX Proud!!!!
