Another Celeb that Got Married without Making a Fuss about it (PHOTOS)

In the paparazzi-crazed world of showbiz, some celebs still manage to slip away and have their special day in private. From P Unit’s Bon-eye to Size 8 snuck off for a secret wedding.

Celebrities go to lengths to keep their wedding day under wraps.

Towards the end of June, TPF 4 finalist, Steve Nyabwa, quit the bachelors’ club when he said, “I do” to his sweetheart, Lydia. However, they “didn’t want to make a fuss” and managed to keep their big day out of the public eye.

You would remember Steve as the lover boy with a golden voice who stole fellow contestants, Amileena and Paleki’s hearts. Post TPF, Steve managed to keep his private life under wraps and certainly away from the public eye.

Here are photos from his wedding;

Remember When Vera Sidika Dissed Huddah Mercilessly? No? Here That Hot Diss Is! (PHOTO)

I found this and just couldn’t help but to chuckle to myself. Whatever issues there are between these two belles have long simmered down but before that, we were treated to some of the best insults ever. Were they funny? Yes. But they were also vicious. The type that only former friends could pull because of how well they know each other.

And away from that, now it’s time for me to talk about the actual insult. I caught a glimpse of it on my Facebook timeline and I couldn’t help but pull out a deep “oooh!” because of how savage this missile is:

They pride themselves on being on top of every trend, interviewing the most contentious news-makers and the hottest stars around.

Since she teetered into the spotlight near the beginning of last year, Huddah Monroe has continued to leave us marveling (some of you grudgingly) thanks to a body and face that looks like it was sculpted by angels.

Her ability to court controversy and look picture perfect while doing it has gained her a large number of followers on social media. The lass gave her fans something to drool on when she posted a photo of herself rocking a healthy-looking bikini body.

Romantic Fling With Nurse Lands Doctor in Hot Soup!

Trapped is a hilarious audience-pleasing fast-paced comedy. Its physical over-the-top makes our last show Dangerous Affairs seem like a prayer meeting by comparison.

The comedy is starring Kenya’s superstars directed by Derrick Amunga and Mbeki Mwalimu. The setting of Trapped is a medical hospital. A doctor (Nick Ndeda) is practicing the lecture he will deliver to an assembly of fellow gynaecologists in less than an hour. The speech’s success is vital to his career.

trapped_new.jpg

Interruptions abound. First it’s various other medical staff rehearsing for a performance (i.e. the cheeky Nigerian doctor played by Maina Olwenya; tough talking matron played by Veronica Waceke; a pregnant intern doctor played by Lulu Wilson and the new doctor played by Henry Gitau Ngogoyo). Then a long-ago ex (Wangari Gioche), who was once a nurse at the hospital, brings the news that she gave birth 16 years earlier to the doctor’s daughter (Janet Kirina) and the daughter is in the hospital in search of Dad! Yes, there is his harsh wife (Rosemary Waweru), and she knows nothing of the past liaison!

And in the spiraling chaos of deceit, false identity and manic cover-up that ensues, the mission is to avoid the daughter, pacify the ex, keep the chief specialist and hospital deputy director (Derrick Amunga) at bay and fend off various distractions, among them a patient from deep in the village excited by the goings-on (Johnson Chege) and an inquisitive police officer.

Ayeiya Poa Poa Makes a Thunderous Comeback on Churchill Show after Mental illness Rumours

He last appeared on our screens back in January on Churchill Show when the number one TV comedy show in East Africa had just returned for the New Year. However, for the next 3 months Ayeiya was a no-show on Churchill Show.

It was in April that reports emerged that the comedian was in depression and was spotted behaving in an unsocial manner in Rongai. He was later admitted in hospital for specialized treatment something that saw him get back on his feet.

But finally, last night, Ayeiya made a thunderous comeback on the screen when Churchill Show aired.

Forget About the Ratchetness at Masaku 7s, Here’s what Happened at Meru 7s (PHOTOS)

Masaku 7s came and went but the shenanigans that characterized the highly hyped rugby tournament are fresh in our minds. So, last weekend, down went Meru 7s.

Like every rugby tournament and the after party, it was nothing short of fun. The after party of epic proportions rocked Baite land over the weekend. A great end to a day of playing or spectating, the event completely sold out, with extensive queues trying to get in at the last minute.

Ratchetness was nowhere near Meru as Nameless and Avril rocked the party. Here’s how it went down;

Forget groundies, there is a new trend called ‘climbies’. Here are a number of people posing after climbing on something.

Today is the dreaded &th day of the 7th month. For those of you not in the know, that means that the saba saba rallies are going down and i am sipping my tea as I type this from bed. I ked. I am at work already because sabasaba will not make it to the meetings I have scheduled for today. However, I support democratic dialogue. Prezzo Posts A Selfie In A Messy Room And His Fans Troll Him (PHOTO)

Sometimes celebrities try to connect with their fans and it ends up badly. Robin Thicke was recently on this tip when he took to twitter in an attempt to talk to his fans only for them to lampoon him on the handle he created #AskThicke. It seems Prezzo is learning this lesson aswell albeit the lot trolling him are doing so mildly.

Prezzo took to his instagram account to post this photo:

Popular Nairobi Gay Bar Raided By Police, 60 Homosexuals Arrested

While most were either going home to sleep after a night of debauchery or waking up and getting ready to go to church, some Kenyans were being welcomed by the state as guests in it’s five star accommodation at Central police station. Their crime? Getting caught at a gay bar.

As the story goes, once upon a time, in a distant nearly past too far gone to recall, there was a club in the heart of the Nairobi CBD called Club Envy. Now, the management at envy are true capitalists who deign it fit to welcome homosexuals to their establishment as long as they keep buying drinks.

Smart move really because homosexuals in countries such as America are the ones who have money.

Anyway, when word leaked out to the government of the day, they sent their security apparatus to harass innocent homosexuals who were not even taking part in any buggery but rather enjoying their hard earned money.

Presenting: The Latest Gay Club in Nairobi

By the time Ghafla got to the scene, it was too late as all the homosexuals had been rounded up and taken to Central Police Station. But we managed to talk to the watchman who informed Baba Ghafla that those arrest were patrons who were not being arrested over Mututho Laws but rather because of their sexual orientation.

Baba Ghafla then spoke to Joji Baro to find out whether this is a normal occurrence for homosexuals and we are shocked to learn that state harassment is all part and parcel of what it means to be gay in Kenya.
Joji Baro had this to say, “The arrests at Envy had nothing to do with Mututho law but just trying to suppress the visibility of gays and lesbians. So finally someone just realized gays and lesbians have money and they know where to spend it… Just a remainder of the little rights we enjoy -we have a right to spend our money where and whenever we want to.

This Has To Be The Hottest Reggae Album Done By A Kenyan So Far!

There are few Kenyan artists who have the work ethic and drive to rival this man’s. Not that it’s a competition, but it is fact. Another fact is that while Kenyans are sleeping on the music produced by their own, elsewhere around the world, their artists are being appreciated. This rings true for acts such as Makadem and Man Wazimu. But this is all about Man Wazimu.

Masn Wazimu is not just hard working when it comes to his own material, he has taken it upon himself to mentor other artists struggling from the slum and with such a heavy burden on his shoulders, one would think he would slow down aye? Nay! He is still going in and making music. He has just put the finishing touches to his album and you can check out the cover artwork below:

The album is called, “The Way” and will drop on the 7th!

Rabbit Ditches Rapping For A New Passion (PHOTO)

When Lil Wayne announced to the world that he had found a 6 stringed new passion, the world went nuts. I remember reading opinion pieces from rockheads who felt he would cheapen the instrument. He didn’t. If anything, he rekindled interest in the instrument. Perhaps Rabbit a.k.a Kaka Sungura will have the same effect in Kenya.

Earlier today, lad was in the Citizen studios playing the instrument and he did so convincingly. Aye, admittedly, he is no Jimmi Hendrix, but he is good. Actually, better than Lil Wayn who could only play 1 or 2 chords. And he looks comfortable with the instrument tucked under his arms but then again, that is one of the reasons why Rabbit is a good entertainer, not just a good rapper -he adapts and evolves. Check him out below:

Gospel Singer Kimdanny is Not Losing Faith Anytime Soon

Sometimes life knocks you down but you should never remain down and downtrodden. It’s the same thing that happened to young Gospel singer Kimdanny.

“My mum is a very prayerful woman”, begins Kimdanny in his testimony. “I had a very rare skin disease which really affected my childhood. My face was swollen with wounds that spread to my back since Class 8.”

“It was so hard for me to play with other kids as they all ran away and this really lowered my self esteem. I would feel lonely and often asked my mum why it had to be me. We sort medication from different hospitals but nothing worked. My mum never lost hope and taught me how to pray and have faith and encouraged me that one day things will be better. People will follow me and not reject me!”

After years of struggle with the disease and nothing seemed to work, things started looking up when he was in Form 3 in High School.

“Days passed and years went by but nothing changed. Then in Form 3, the disease started disappearing and today I am very fine.”

Kimdanny.jpg

He adds,

“I remember those days in primary and high school where I used to pray since my mum would encourage me but I almost lost faith because nothing seemed to work. However, my mum would encourage me saying, ‘Nina Imani’ you will be okay and become a great person in future.”

This story is what formed the basis of his latest song, “Nina Imani”. Check it out;

Madtraxx: “I Can’t Tolerate Low Quality Music”

Self-proclaimed super deejay, super rapper and super producer, Madtraxx, has come out to declare that he has no time for low quality Kenyan music.

Madtraxx has challenged East African artistes to “stop the blame game and up their skills” if they are to compete at the international stage. The Red Republik DJ and producer adds that artistes have themselves to blame for their failure to come up with top quality music.

This comes after artistes’ claim that deejays don’t play their music and so the buck stops with them on why Kenyan music is not receiving international acclamation.

In a quick rejoinder, veteran producer, Tedd Josiah, has challenged Madtraxx to sample some of the music he has produced for the artists he has signed.

Tedd Josiah

“Ask him to come meet me! Head-to-head and with TV cameras on. He can tell me which of the artistes am working with he has no time for!”, challenges Tedd.
