Never Seen Before Photos of Chipukeezy When He Was Broke & Ratchet

Some start from the bottom, some start from the top but the thing is, we all start from somewhere. Chipukeezy is currently one of the top comedians in Kenya, and over the weekend I came across some of his photos that I doubt if any of his fans have seen. I don’t know where this was, but hey this guy was unfashionable and looked really broke! Check out the photos.

Check Out the Wild Grinding and ‘Daggering’ That Took Place at Barbecue Live

Barbecue Live was the event of the year and the Arboretum Gardens was the place to be on 9th of July.

Barbecue Live is one of my favorite Kenyan events because what’s better than meat and a good time? My personal favorite is their shredded pig, divine I tell you, you should try it out the next time you are there.

As the meat depleted so did the hang-ups and people really went all out to make the night a night to remember .If you were one of those people who couldn’t make it to this event, enjoy the videos below

Julie Gichuru lashes out at Media For Socialite Problem

On her Friday 8th August interview with Homeboyz radio, the Citizen TV news anchor blamed the Media for hyping the socialites by giving them a platform to gain recognition by the people.

Julie aired her frustration saying that the media was grooming socialites by writing stories about them henceforth propagating their course. “Young girls will upload their nude videos and pictures, the media will write about it and unscrupulous rich men will finance the girls in exchange for sexual favors.” uttered Julie in dismay.

The rising trend of young women uploading nude photos and video has seen many wonder what is really causing the rapidly declining moral standards and questions asked who is to blame. Julie is the latest celebrity to air her grievances concerning the socialite problem but it seem the situation is not improving as each passing day an erotic video or picture is being uploaded by the socialite.

After arriving at their house, her housemate realized that she was missing her Samsung Mega so Lisa called Risper Faith to find out if she had left the phone in the car. Watching the video left a weird feeling in my stomach because honestly the video was a bit much.before I’m branded a hater ,check it out for yourself

Openly Homosexual Gospel Artiste Sexually Harassed And Brutally Wounded By A Gang Of Men

Being openly gay especially in Africa is a brave act, because chances are that you will not only be  cast out by your family but also  ostracized by the community. And in severe cases face hate crime and that is why most people prefer to remain in the closet, fearing for their own safety.

Joji Baro an Openly gay gospel artiste was severally beaten and groped with threats of sodomy after some people attacked him in his home, here is his story:

Today in the morning, I woke up as usual and jovial, went to freshen up, then came back. I went outside and took some clothes I had washed previously and ironed them. All this while I had spent over 30 minutes outside my house without locking the door…Someone came inside in a rush, planted a stolen stuff through my window.
As I was getting ready to leave my house and get myself some breakfast, someone knocked on my door…he then demanded to search my house.

All this while I have been keeping silent and thought it was a joke so I dismissed him. This took a little bit longer and by the time I went back I found a flux of mob on my door.

Then I was told to open. The guy then went directly to my window and pulled the implanted thing from there.
I was lashed, caned, kicked, slapped, punched, beaten and am that. I have bruises all over my body….as if that was not enough, some said I should be burned and that they don’t want gays in their neighborhood.
One of then landed a hockey stick on the back of my neck and I fell down.

It is from there that I was mobbed like a thief.
I was then locked in a dirty empty room where I was undressed to find out whether am a man or a woman, they pulled my hair like that of Cassandra in that movie…I was then tortured more. And tortured and tortured. They seized my phone gadgets and my house key and did everything with my house.
For three hours locked in isolation similar to solitary just within the Tel Aviv estate managed Bethsamwel Investment Limited in Embakasi.

I was then released to go back to my house, pack my things, and leave. Leave to nowhere.
While packing other women came to my house and went indeep to where I keep clothes without checking and viola…! More planted things and more and more till I could not take it anymore. The media also beat me to extract information from me.
Two activists came to my rescue and I have left them guiding my things outside the block.
I have been evicted without notice of refund of my rent which I struggle so hard to get.
They have also taken away my human right trophy off my hand and that I should forget about it.

As we speak am in a cyber(a different one) trying to collect events together and see where to go from here.
I did not give up without a fight though….I was able to maintain my hairstyle throughout.
I have not gone to the police yet.
I have not gone to the hospital.
I am trying to type but it is hard.
And now I don’t know who t turn to.
This wasn’t coming soon….I should have read the signs.
They took my clothes. Almost took my credentials.

I have been chased away from my own house. Deprived off my rights, denied access to my own property and subjected to torture and humiliation both physically and psychologically. I am moving like someone who has an STI down there from the injuries emanating from one man who stepped on my balls.
I was caressed to find out whether I have breasts, or vagina or both in any case.
And this brought up the memories of my parents when they disowned me.

I can’t seem to comprehend why do I always have to be unfortunate….why do bad things happen to me…the worst humiliation was when I was told had it been that am HIV-ve men would have raped me the Sodom and Gomorrah way to feel how other men feel when copulating with me.
I do not know whether I approach my friends as this was abrupt. And I DON’T know wether any help is forthcoming. While am still trying to figure out where to go from here my advice is avoid Embakasi at all cost. Especially those who are pronouncly gay. And Tel Aviv Estate in particular.

But first let pause here and find out whether my furniture are safe

Here is Why Salvador is Trending on Twitter

If you caught last night’s episode of Churchill Show then you definitely have an idea of why #Salvador is trending.

In fact, the trending tag has been trending for past 12 hours since Salvador’s rocking show at Churchill. Anyway, first off, Salvador is the hilarious Ugandan comedian who always cracks ribs wherever whenever.

So, this week, he was featured on Churchill Show as a guest comedian and ended up outshining the common faces! His jokes were fresh and so original.

He recently performed in Mauritius to media across the Continent   and has been chosen to be DSTV brand ambassador in the Dr. Turner campaign and henceforth Salvador will also host a comedy show on M-Net’s new channel; Maisha Magic which is launching on 1st of September.

Kenyan Comedians can borrow a leaf from Salvador success and start targeting the untapped continental audience too.

Churchill Raw Comedian Cannot Get Enough of Rwanda’s Hot First Daughter, Ange Kagame

Move over Ngina Kenyatta, another first daughter is creating a social media buzz, her name Ange Kagame.

Standing at an impressive 6 foot plus height and towering over her father Paul Kagame and president Obama  who is 6 “1 ,Ange could be easily mistaken for one of those willowy models strutting across runways in Paris and Milan. Her face is definitely the icing on the cake as she has a Victoria Secret kind of model face. This beautiful lass has cause quite the stir on social media with many praising her beauty.

ange.jpg

The latest in the line of her hordes of admires is none other than Milele F.M presenter and Churchill raw comedian Dr Ofweneke who had this to say about Ange:

Am moving to Rwanda!! Ange Kagame is the type if girl who when you get married I am the one who changes my name, not her….DR.OFWENEKE KAGAME!

Revealed! The Drama That Characterized Jastorina’s Burial. This is Beyond Imagination

“A prophet is never recognized and as such not valued at home.” This adage is so true given the burial of the late jastorina literally brought the village to a standstill, since the turn out and the celebration of life of the fallen lad or babe has been one of a kind, one never quite witnessed before in that village of a mere ‘commoner’ who holds no title like mweshimiwa.

Fast forward to July 2014, it was on 30th of June2014, Nancy Nyambura AKA Jastorina, AKA Kanyanya, was taken terribly ill, and her excruciating headache made her go seek medical attention at Kenyatta National Hospital and after a long battle she succumbed to meningitis and left the world on the fateful 28th of July.

Her grave side was down a slippery slope, Nancy’s mother was to be buried first and once done, Nancy’s casket was to be taken downhill for the final ceremony. “Nancy Ehh! Jastorina Ahh rara” Chants went on just encourage brothers to hang on and manage to bring the body to the final spot, for once the casket was up not lay it down until it reached the graveside. But 50metres from the grave yard, hell broke loose. The Caro… yes! That one of Thika Road – Muranga in 20 minutes… Yes! That one of refund my 6000 shillings that I gave for clearing Nancy’s hospital balance… Yes! That one who had come to the house and picked Steve(Jastorina’s son) and taken him to the paternal home to claim dowry yet Steve’s father had been dead for over 8 years! Yes! That one who took 3 days to come to Jastorina’s house only because royalty was visiting and came armed with her ksh800, 000 budget! Well, she allegedly was ‘overwhelmed and went on a comatose’ and as expected recovered fast. She would have made a better actor than her sister. Suddenly she acquired a surprising new level of energy and grabbed the microphone to claim that artists were there to bury Jastorina, while they as a family were there to bury Nancy.

Artistes were persona non Grata and were suddenly not wanted at the burial ceremony. As if the drama was just beginning, machetes that had been concealed in the grave were brandished. Some of the youths grabbed knives a fact that made artistes flee for their dear lives. One of the artists was quickly swept off his feet and soon kicks and blows rained on him. It took one of the police officers present to shoot in the air to save him when the attackers scattered at the sound of a gun firing. Dennis Musyoka, who plays the character of a Judge in the drama series Mashtaka remained with the children and made sure he left the village with them that night.

Another Major Throwback! Guess who? (PHOTO)

The one and only Jalang’o during his stage days; way before the brother could even drink leave alone be endorsed by one major brand.

Even way before a brother could use tissue paper leave alone being the face of his hardwork. To fellow comedian, Obinna Ike igwe, he has witnessed Jalang’o’s hard work.

“He once told me the secret is ‘stay hungry’ if it comes to me seeing, trust me he is second to none. I learnt a lot from him,” retorted Obinna when he handed us this exclusive and very rare photo of his mentor, Jalang’o.

Talent Search Show Accused of Fraud in Shocking Allegations Provides Evidence To Rubbish Claims

A short while ago, I posted a story about a lass who was accusing arguably the biggest talent search programme for high school kids, Dreamz Come True, of defrauding her. And she had taken her battle to social media but while writing up the article, I was sure to note that the CEO in question, Jimmy K had provided evidence to counter the allegations aye?

Well, let me start the story off like this:

Jimmy K spoke to Ghafla exclusively and when he did, he clarified that it was indeed true that Victoria Joyce Nyambura Thuo was a contestant on his show “Dreams Come True”. He however says that was where the truth in what she was claiming ended.
First off,

Her case was special. She is a parallel university degree pursuant, the show usually only caters to university students pursuing a degree courtesy of J.A.B (the Joint Admissions Board) or “regular” students as they are known.

Upon considering her case, the team decided to pay half her fees because she was indeed the winner of her category and both the young lady and her mother were made fully aware of the situation. That was where the problems begun.

They refused to accept their cheque which you can see below:

altAnal5TMK41Usk7_b8h-8Mok5l5DK2kufdVAZD39PqfKx.jpg

Simply because they wanted the full amount due, 60,000/-. Since then, the cheque has been lying on Jimmy K’s desk. And as for the attempted blackmail with claims that they would expose us to the media, well, we are a fully registered company and anyone interested can find our filed documents at Jogoo House at the Ministry Of Education’s Quality Assurance department.

And our success record speaks for itself really, we have paid school fees for over 1,000 students to the tune of 1.6 million shillings with some past participants going on to release music albums and we even boast among our ranks of participants, Ms Kiambu County and Ms Kajiado County.

Buyer Beware (the site that 1st covered the saga) are just creating a fuss without first getting the facts and are running the risk of costing thousands of potential participants school fees should the event be cancelled by tarnishing our name in so criminal a manner.

And away from this sad state of affairs, I want to encourage any would-be participants to come for the upcoming events which will be held on the 16th of August all over the country.
Some of the judges for the next cycle include:
Willy M. Tuva of Royal Media Service, Dave Gitika of Mali, Steve Homes formerly of TPF, Rukia of Tausi, Cliff Sidandi of Otonglo Fame among others.”

So there you have it.

Meanwhile, the August edition of Dreamz Come True will be held on 16th August at the Catholic University of East Africa (CUEA).

Talent Search Show Accused Of Fraud In Shocking Allegations Made

I recently came across a post by a damsel in distress claiming that she was conned by the biggest Talent Search Show (High Schools category). I have since been in touch with the organizers and they have given me their side of the story -with evidence. I am still compiling said evidence but for now, here the accusations are:

Hi admin, my name is Victoria Joyce Nyambura Thuo and I would like your help on a certain issue regarding a scholarship that I won, In December I enrolled in a TV reality show known as the DREAMS COME TRUE REALITY SHOW which was aired on KTN, headed by JIMMY K who is the founder and director of the show/company.

It all started by them asking me to pay 300shs for auditions in the Arts category which I did and qualified after which I was entered into a competition which took place on the 12th December at Catholic University of East Africa, I was called by
Jimmy’s assistant Karen who asked to pay 3,500 shs for a workshop that was to take place and indeed took place at Nakeel Boys High school in Rongai for three days after which we did a final test at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa I managed to shine and attained position two in my category, in a big ceremony for all the participants hosted at the university and was endorsed by key media and key TV personalities e.g. David Mwakazi of Citizen Jimmy K, the said director then gave me and all other winners a document signed and confirming that I was successful and was going to be entitled to a full scholarship once my form 4 results were out and my result slip delivered to them together with the admission letter of the institution I was going to join.

The directors number is 0717 65***0/ 0716220**0 and the email addresses he provided are halla@dreamzcometrue.co.ke and
website;www.dreamzcometrue.co.ke What should I do please advise? I feel cheated and conned by this show which I later realized that they did not have an office or a HQ. Also, can the group assist me in unmasking these culprits before they take advantage of more innocent Kenyans? Thanks in advance.

Yours Truly Joyce

Keep it Ghafla for the other side of the coin.

Remember The KTN Piece On A Mhindi Eloping With A Mluhya? Check Out The Debate It Sparked Amongst MPs

Good journalistic pieces elicit emotions. Great journalistic work elicits a reaction. And this story did just that. And what a reaction from the August House as MPs have been going back and forth debating it. Now, for those of you who do not already know, race relations in Kenya are rather dicey. People do not like addressing them head on and this is neither the forum nor the place.

I have to keep within certain, “politically correct” parameters. But what I can say is this, Kenyans have issues that they are afraid to critically tackle.
Indians and indigenous Africans get along superficially. That is why the story of a Luhya man eloping with an Indian has caused quite a stir. Anyway, this is what transpired between parliamentarians who have turned The Nairobian into their battlefield:

It all started when (in last week’s edition of The Nairobian), Kisumu Town East MP Shakeel Shabbir said Asian women are “sexually frustrated” in reference to Sarika, a woman of Indian origin, who eloped to live with Khamala, a Bukusu in Trans Nzoia.

But in her response to the couple’s union, nominated MP Sonia Birdi said Shabbir’s comments are unfair to women. “It is deplorable and retarded to paint a woman as a sexually-driven individual who is only after sexual satisfaction,” she said. “Exploring intimate details of a relationship in public shows that we are petty when judging women.”

Shabbir had further said that Asian women in Kenya are usually locked in their houses by parents and are forced to turn to their drivers, houseboys or gardeners to satisfy their sexual needs. Sarika, 24, is the daughter of a wealthy businessman; while Khamala,25, is from a poor family. They first met four years ago while Khamala was washing her father’s car. They now live in a small mud hut in Webuye and plan to marry soon. Sonia told The Nairobian, “A woman, regardless of race or religion, has complete right over her life, especially her sexuality. The very fact that Sarika is with Khamala shows that she has her own mind and made her own choice.”

Fast Cars, Spending Big Money! A Day In The Life Of Octopizzo (VIDEO)

Octopizzo is not taking any prisoners! He is here for the rap crown and he wants everyone to acknowledge and salute him! Mention the likes of Davido, Wizkid et al, the lad is not shy about letting them know that they need to salute him. The lad went all the way to Germany to make that point know.

That is the message in Octopizzo’s new jam that features one of Africa’s rap luminaries M.I and trust that the video was superb. that was never in doubt. What is however is the fact that is up for debate is whether this is the hottest hiphop song of the year -so far atleast and I feel that it could be,

Check out the video below:

{youtube}6qYiTbfsL6M{/youtube}

Watch the video and tell me what you think? Is it the best song so far this year? Octopizzo’s delivery coupled with the lad that sung the hook? This is what chemistry is all about.
Then M.I comes in and ignites the entire song! this fast paced “trap music” reminiscent jam is what the doctor ordered for our entertainment scene.

Check out Eve D’ Souza’s Multimillion Party On a Private Yacht

Call her a trendy setter, Eve D’ Souza is certainly raising the standard high with her exorbitant display of accessories, this time she parties on luxury yacht in the Mediterranean.

Just a few days ago she revealed a new company of hers, today though Eve is on a different mission parting on a yacht in a company of well renowned international celebrities. Alighting from a posh Range Rover with Nigerian Rnb artist Banky W of the hit song Yes and No, Eve walk down the harbor to a yacht on the Spanish Island of Ibiza where she joins Dj Malvado who is on the deck entertaining the ravers. Whether it a hired yatch or owned by a colleague of hers, the bottom line is that it is more expensive than most of the private jets. Just by the kind of celebrities she hangs with, Eve D’ Souza is definitely a hot name on the market.

Ruth Matete Stalker Arrested With Guns And Her Personal Effects

Ruth Matete entered TPF 5 with no idea she would emerge the winner at the end of the season. But she did. And as they say, more money, more problems. As she soon came to realize, when problems come around, they come with their in-laws. And she found that out the hard way.

First there were rumours circulating about her newfound love being unstable. Then when the relationship didn’t pan out (and with friends, family and haters whispering that the lad was only after money in the backdrop), there were rumours that she was now broke. And as if that wasn’t bad enough, she was spotted acting erratically earlier this year.

But she is a strong lass and she managed to pick herself up, dust herself off and walked with all the dignity you would expect from a topnotch diva.
Anyway, I came across a story from today’s issue of the The Nairobian, a stalker was found in position of her passport photo and get this, guns!

The lad called Kelvin Akula, a 27 year old man, was unable to explain away the photo in his position leaving police in a quandary; is he a stalker or a thief who had stolen her property at an earlier date? And if this is the case, why didn’t he discard of the photo?

Fortunately, the songstress is safe and sound. Keep it Ghafla for more as information becomes availed.
