Sanaipei Tande Looks Really Sexy On This Month’s Salon Magazine (Photo)

Natasha Sanaipei Tande recently made headlines following the release of sensual song ‘’Mfalme wa Mapenzi” that was a hot topic for quiet a while.

This is because the video is explicit-by Kenyan standards. The video which features Sanaipei dressed in lingerie, running her hands up her body, up her man’s body, soaking in a bathtub has given a new lease on life on Sana’s music career. And she has been interviewed by various media outlets, her latest, Salon solutions Magazine.

Has Obinna Joined Illuminati??

He is probably the funniest man with a Nigerian accent but funny man Obinna Ike Igwe is either pulling a prank on us or he is just simply embracing it.

The guy took a picture with the pyramid symbol which of cause has left us with more questions than answers. Of late he has been upgrading so fast that makes us wonder if there is another source of his wealth apart from his talent, hard work and passion. We understand he is a comedian, has a TV and radio shows as well as events and is about to launch his music career and above all, he also believes so much in God. But is this a coincidence or just a funny pose. See for yourself and you be the judge.

Naswa Guys Invade Chang’aa Dens. The Results Of Their Visit Are Hilarious

For a while now Chang’aa a.k.a “kill me quick” has been the drink of choice for many needy alcohol drinkers in Kenya. Distilled from grains the drink is very intoxicating and even some brewers have been known to lace it with Methanol and Jet Fuel to make it even more potent .

A problem that the government tried to solve by legalizing the drink and forcing the brewers to bottle it in glass and issue health warnings.

But as you are all aware, Kenyans are cheap and very few people have complied. There are many illegal breweries around and that is why revelers in various Chang’aa dens ran for their dear freedom when Citizen TV’s Naswa guys raided the dens.

Dresses in combat uniform, the unarmed pranksters visited Chang’aa dens and the result was nothing short of comical. The visibly drunk patrons chaotically ran out of the dens looking severely confused, with some acrobatically climbing the roofs to avoid getting caught. The most hilarious one was a woman who was too sloshed to even run.

Stunting Like My Daddy: Obinna’s Daughter Rocks Versace(Photo)

Currently, comedy is one of the most lucrative career choices in entertainment. This is because Kenyans really love to laugh.

Even corporates know that the best people to use when it comes to celebrity endorsements are comedians due to the influence they have. One of Kenya’s most influential comedians is without a doubt NTV offside presenter Obinna. When he is not cracking jokes in his Nigerian accent, Obinna is at home chilling with his daughter.

He shared this photo of his last born stunting like her daddy in Versace.

The caption reads ” When it comes to swagging. She got it from daddy. That’s my Lastborn stunting like her daddy. Rocking Versace!! SWAG. #familytime”

Ciku Muiruri Aggressively Bashes Nation FM’s Lornah Irungu, Kiss 100’s Shaffie Weru and Citizen FM’s Fred Machoka

It seems Ciku Muiruri did not get an opportunity to hit back at fellow guest invitees during an interview discussion on NTV’s Press Pass with Mark Masai, the topic was radio and the content therein and apparently she could not digest the views of her fellow compatriots and she henceforth took on her Facebook page to offset them.

“Lornah was the proverbial Mother Superior, questioning the ethics of radio presenters. Fred was the disapproving dad and Kiss 100’s Shaffie Weru was treated as the punching bag for all societal ills” Ciku wrote. Ciku said that Lornah and Fred views were interfering unduly with personal choice and that she was not too sure if their reasoning could be reflected on today’s world. They (Lornah and Fred) were expressing their dissatisfaction with the inclusion of sex related content on the media.

She further illustrated that bashing someone whose ratings was through the roof makes little sense to her and that personal feelings were irrelevant to her as only a few people on air actually have control over much. Ciku emphasized that the bottom line to attracting advertisers and gaining a good place to a sizable ratings was by tolerating what the society wants to listen to not what some may consider questionable material.

Here is Ciku’s full argument on facebook:

Nanny state is a term used to express that a government or its policies are overprotective or interfering unduly with personal choice. On Monday this term was ringing through my head as I listened to two views – One from Nation FM’s Lornah Irungu and the second from Citizen FM’s Fred Machoka, which made me think that they believe that Kenyans have no free will. This was on NTV’s Press Pass with Mark Masai. The topic was radio and the content therein. Lornah was the proverbial Mother Superior, questioning the ethics of radio presenters. Fred was the disapproving dad and Kiss 100’s Shaffie Weru was treated as the punching bag for all societal ills. I was also on the panel, my stand – To each his own.

They did agree on one thing – Sex is important and we must discuss it. It seems that how you talk about it was the only issue. Lornah felt a psychologist or someone of that fashion must be in the studio when the topic comes up, Shaffie felt it’s never that serious and Fred thought that bedroom issues should always be left – In the bedroom. Mm. That Fred. He has been on air since 1978. Amazing. Much respect. But this BBC type style of broadcasting that he’d like everyone to emulate, I’m not too sure about.

The BBC or KBC can get away with a lot. If you fail to make money, you will prevail. If you have one listener, you will prevail. If inflation reaches all time highs, you will prevail. If Interest rates go to hell, you will prevail. That’s the cushion that the national broadcaster and taxpayer’s money, gives you. For the rest of us, it’s slightly trickier. We have shareholders. We have to look at the bottom line. How do you attract the advertisers? A good place to start is sizable ratings. If society wants to listen to what some may consider questionable material, should we stop them? Should we be a nanny state? Why can’t radio stations go their individual ways in terms of content and if it works for you, it works, if it doesn’t, it doesn’t?

Bashing someone whose ratings are through the roof makes little sense to me. Personal feelings are irrelevant. After all, few people on air actually have control over much. I’ll give you an example. You call a radio station and ask for a song. The presenter says they will try and fit it in. That’s a lie. They will not play your song because they are not in charge of the music output. Their entire play list is predetermined by a music panel that every so often fills an auditorium with 500 people that fit the station’s target audience. They then ask them if they like individual songs. The majority wins and those are the songs you hear every day.

But radio presenters sound so passionate about the music, don’t they? What a great bunch of actors. That’s radio. It’s theatre. Pure and simple. Everything is researched. Music, content, even your favourite presenter has a Synovate file. They give the public what they want. They hold a mirror to you. So if you hear something that makes you blush, don’t hate the player, hate the game.

I wish Lornah well on her station’s rebranding. I wish Shaffie well on his drive show. I wish Fred another three great decades. They don’t all have to be the same, to each his own. Say no to a nanny state! If you don’t like what you hear, change the dial. If you use public transportation, get out of the matatu or buy headphones. Most cell phones come with them. There’s room for Oprah and there’s room for Jerry Springer. Choose.

Huddah Monroe Follows In Vera Sidika’s Footsteps

Back before being a socialite was considered a viable source on income; Huddah and Vera Sidika were thick as thieves and often attended many parties together.

Somewhere along the way they fell out and their beef on social media became a source of entertainment and fodder for tabloids and blogs.

They may not like each other very much right now, but they still have one thing in common, a passion for fashion. Months after Vera Sidika unleashed her V S collection; Huddah has also taken a plunge into fashion. But unlike Vera, Huddah has her own line Huddah by Vazzi

The slender socialite posted this message on Instagram:

Animation Generation Comes to Kenya!

Cartoon Network partners with the Britam Foundation to improve wildlife conservation

Get ready… set… and pick up your pencils, crayons and paint brushes because Cartoon Network’s Animation Generation competition has officially launched in Nairobi, Kenya. This exciting initiative is making its way to Kenya, jointly brought to Kenyan learners by Cartoon

Network in partnership with the Britam Foundation. The drawing competition promotes the art of illustration and encourages imaginative creativity, challenging over 100 primary schools and over 40 000 learners across Nairobi to explore their artistic talents, while also having lots of fun and encouraging wildlife conservation! Due to the increase in elephant and rhino poaching in Kenya, Cartoon Network and the Britam

Foundation aim to raise awareness about conservation and wildlife protection in Kenya. The theme for the competition will be “Ben 10 Protecting Wildlife” and learners will be challenged to draw a Ben 10 alien with special powers that will be able to protect and save elephants and rhinos in the country.

“We believe that the youth is the present and future of the conservation message and through our initiative we would like to emphasise the importance of wildlife and encourage learners to come up with ideas on how they can be better protected. The Britam Foundation and Cartoon Network are committed to enriching the lives of people and providing sustainable solutions: anti-poaching being one of them,” adds Pierre Branco Vice President Southern Europe and Africa for Turner Broadcasting System.

The competition, which kicked off on Monday 14 July is a unique initiative from Cartoon Network, DStv channel 301, which aims to harness the passion of its viewers and give something back to the local communities. It encourages viewers to unleash their creativity by developing new, fun characters which are limited by nothing but their maker’s imagination, and in doing so they also stand a chance to win amazing prizes. These include fabulous electronic gadgets, exclusive Cartoon Network goodie bags for learners and cash prizes for their schools to improve art facilities.

The initiative will target learners in three age categories: 6-8 years old, 9-11 years old and 12-14 years old and their respective schools. An independent panel of judges, both local and international representatives from Turner Broadcasting, will judge all the entries looking for the most creative, unique and innovative thinking behind the newest alien that will be featured in a Ben 10 promo on television.

The winners in every age group stand a chance to win iPads and the overall winner will have his/her character animated and aired on Cartoon Network, giving the lucky and talented learner the thrill on having his/her artwork brought to life in a promo on television throughout Africa. The school with the most quality entries will receive Ksh 100,000. All entries must be original and as inventive as possible.

Learners should start looking out for the info packs and posters which will soon be delivered to their schools. The closing date for entries is September 19th 2014 and learners will also be able to enter digitally by visiting www.cartoonnetworkafrica.com/agkenya  as well as through traditional mail: HDI

Youth Marketeers – Animation Generation Competition Entries – Cathy Flats – Lenana Road – PO Box 11700-00100 – Nairobi. The prize-giving celebrations are set to be very exciting and will be held at each of the winning schools.

Ben 10 Omniverse continues on Cartoon Network with an episode every weekday at midday on DStv channel 301. For more information on the competition and the Ben 10 Omniverse show, visit: www.cartoonnetworkafrica.com

Although he does not entirely support homosexuality on the ground of morals, nor he advocating for their rights, Jay A make it crystal clear that does not support extreme punishment for the homosexuals. “As long as they don’t like put it on public, just let them be” explained Jay A when asked what he thought should be done to the homosexuals.

Sarah Hassan Weighs In On Socialites In Kenya

If the original socialites came to life and saw the kind of socialites that exist today, they would be seriously scandalized!

Long gone are the days when to be branded a socialite you had to come from a well heeled family, had Ivy League education and was well cultured with a touch of snobbishness .

Nowadays ANYONE and I mean ANYONE can become a socialite .All you need is a big booty, a saucy scandal or two and an insane ability to churn controversy after controversy that will keep people’s eyes on you.

Never have socialites been so omnipresent like in 2013/2014; they are at every party, on our social media timelines and twerking on You Tube or making a mad dash for media attention.

And that is why we asked Sarah Hassan on what she thinks about this popular trend

Sarah Hassan is of the opinion that if is the path they want to follow and have support from family and friends then they can do it .It’s their choice to make concerning which rout they want to take in life.

Unbelievable! The Late Jastorina’s Family Fights Artists And Police Deployed To Stop Fight! And All this Was At The Funeral!

Sometimes, fact is stranger than fiction.

Jastorina was laid to rest at her ancestral home in Muranga and while people thought this would be a somber ceremony for a departed mother, sister and friend, this was not the case.

This is one account of what unfolded:

There was drama in Kagongo village of Mathioya, Murang’a County, during the burials of actress Nancy Nyambura a.k.a Jastorina and her mother Lucy Wangui as family members blocked artistes from taking over the Tuesday ceremony.
Police officers deployed to provide security fired in the air to avert a fight between the two sides. The artistes from Nairobi had attempted to take control of the ceremony from a local clergyman. The actress’s sister, Carol Nduta and brother Sammy Njoroge caused a stir when they stood by her grave and vowed not to allow the artistes to conduct the ceremony before the police fired into the air and dispersed the crowd. Ms Nduta accused the artistes of being disorderly and failing to help the family plan for the two burials. “We cannot allow this to happen because you have come here drunk, with intentions to steal the show,” shouted Nduta.

The artistes had allegedly stormed a room where Nyambura’s remains were being kept awaiting the start of the ceremony, forcing the family to call for order.

Led by the emcee, James Njaria, the family expressed anger over the artistes’ behaviour and urged them to tone it down. The artistes demanded the right to bury their colleague in their own style, which was rejected by the family. The artistes also accused Nyambura’s family of hiring thugs to frustrate their efforts to give their colleague a decent send-off. Nyambura died at the Kenyatta National Hospital where she had been admitted with meningitis, just hours after being crowned the Best Performing Artiste in a TV Comedy at the Kalasha Awards last month.

After the much successful debut “Lose Control” , Calvo Mistari is at it again, this time collaborating with  song bird Amileena to release a much hyped music video “GET DOWN & DANCE” that will make you yearn for more from the pair.

Forget ‘Finger Of God’ , Check Out Transformers The Church (Photo)

Kenyans have an unusual ability for naming things; they name their churches ‘Finger Of God’ and ‘The Glory Is Here Nor There  Church Of  Yahweh ’ and they name their shops ‘Mama G-Spot Shop’ or some and their buildings ‘Rising Cocks House’ .

It’s really hard to walk around the country and not be baffled but at the same time amused by the names Kenyan come up with.

Now there is church on Valley Arcade Area whose name was inspired by the ‘Transformer’s Movie’ and goes by the name ‘Transformer’s Chapel’ and even uses the movie’s font. While the name may not be as eye-brow raising as others that we have heard in the past it’s defiantly something worth checking out:

After Jack Bauer and Raila, Now Sonko Makes It to the Obama- Uhuru Picture (Photo)

Late last year, Nairobi senator tried to pull the wool over Kenyans’ eyes on social media, and Kenyans would have none of it.

Sonko photo shopped his face over Mohammed Ali’s face on a photo he had taken a while back with Nelson Mandela. Sonko then shared the photo on Facebook claiming he had also shared a moment with Nelson Mandela.

Kenyan on Twitter mercilessly mocked Sonko’s Photoshop fail  with even the British media getting in on the action. And soon Sonko was photo shopped into every news-worthy picture in Kenya from Lupita’s Oscar Win to Sanaipei Tande’s bathtub.

Now he is making an appearance in the Uhuru-Obama photo looking quite flamboyant in an orange suit

This Has To Be The Worst Fashion Disaster Of 2014 (PHOTO)

We all fall off at some point. Beckham fell off, I fell off -when I once wore a female sweater to the office. I have never lived it down. That said, I must reiterate that everyone slips up. And this article is a fashion cop submission for one of the most stylish celebrities around. He was part of Camp Mulla both as a rapper and as a producer.

Aye, I am talking about Kus Ma who goies by the government name of Marcus Kibukosya. Lad is quite the fashion luminary. He managed to convince Kenyan lads that it’s useless to turn up at events looking like something the cat dragged in.
Sadly, he fell for the same trap.

Or perhaps this is a generational thing. Maybe, just maybe, this is one of those things mid-twenty lads will not appreciate but this is what is taking over the younger lot. If that’s the case then I cry!

What in heavens sweet name is this:

What? Is the “chokora” look what’s hot? If that’s the case I must ask, “Where they do that at?”

Gold watch, chokora wardrobe. But he will definitely be back to his stylish ways. Perhaps we just caught him when he wasn’t ready because truth be told, this lad is Kenya’s Kanye both in production and fashion sense.

Pilipili’s Wife Pregnant

You may remember him from the Calif Records heydays. He was the darkskinned soulful brother in the outfit (not to be confused with Flexx what with his loud haircuts). He was the crooner behind the track “Ukimwona” with Lady S -may her soul rest in eternal peace. He was the singer behind the hit song “Twende Ndani” and “Morale” before he decamped to found his own studio.

Anyway, long story short, after giving us these hits, he took one long hiatus.
