How many comedians do you know can actually get musical and still entertain you? You are about to find out that soon, I mean not later than this month though, just soon enough.

Obinna Ike Igwe promised to release his new song and it is now a sure deal that the next time you see this comedian on your screen, he will be featuring in his new single debut. This guy surely knows the meaning of hustling, he has a TV and radio shows as well as events and now he is just about to launch his music career, I mean venturing in all sectors of the entertainment industry is not a thing that works well for most of the artistes.

Let us wish him the all the best, hope his music will be worthwhile for you guys to buy, listen, watch or whatever you do with it.

He then adds that he thinks Kenyans are hypocritical because we watch explicit version of American videos and yet we judge local content when artistes decide to go ‘steamy’. He goes on to add that Sanaipei should continue doing what she is doing in fact he should be cast in the next video.

Do not dare mess with Kenyans on the social media, if this is advice is anything to go by then Cabu Gah just learnt it the hard way.

How do you even bully someone on his own page, this is how crazy Kenyans have come to be of late, resorting to intimidate activist Cabu Gah. This is how it all started; Cabu Gah was not pleased with Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria’s newly invented phrase; Kikuyu is not a tribe, it is an enterprise. He wrote a piece expressing his opinion but it seemed Kenyans loved Kuria’s phrase more and in their numbers, they attacked Cabu Gah forcing him to withdraw his earlier comment.

In the spirit of democracy, Cabu Gah ultimately withdrew his article and bowed to the ‘numbers’ but still maintain the statement by Kuria was a passing JOKE.

 

 

 

Let the partying go on, at least this what Huddah Monroe is thinking after she apparently send a likely indication that she will not be leaving Nigeria any time soon.

We are all seeing how the killer virus Ebola is wreaking havoc in the West African States but our party girl Huddah does not seem to bother at all, personally I will not dare go to West Africa I mean Ebola is real guys and my love for life just supersedes my desire for fun. Huddah is still in Nigeria and she thinks Ebola is just a mere grapevine, “At the end of the day something will kill you” huddah uttered.

Michelle Morgan’s entrance into the media scene caused quite the reaction.

Kenyan men were of course impressed by her beauty but Kenyan women were dismayed by the attention she got and she got a cold reception form the women folk. Michelle worked in Citizen for 2 years before she joined Ebru TV, an affiliate of Everest TV. Ebru TV is a Turkish media house that launched in Kenya.

 

Michelle has proven that she can hold her own and has risen to become one of Kenya’s greatest news anchors. The half Tanzanian half British beauty recently shared a photo of her cheek getting some action from a man who looked good-looking.

If you are in tune with local news, I’m sure you have heard of the proposed Kenya Anti Homosexuality Bill, 2014 a.k.a. stone the gays bill.

The bill was proposed by a virtually unknown politician Edward Nyakeriga from a small political party called Republican Liberty Party of Kenya.

Edward a father of two children who neither drinks nor smokes has incidentally never interacted with a gay person and yet wants them stoned to death because the act is unnatural. This knee jerk reaction was inspired by a few gays who were matching for their rights. This act of ‘freedom of expression’ really annoyed one Edward who was of the opinion that “It was an expression of the rot and where we are headed as a society and if there is no deterrence, the society will be very rotten.”

The penalty was life imprisonment for locals and stoning to death in public for foreigners who decided to engage in some hanky-panky with members of the same sex.
Promotion of homosexuality including in the media, online production, sharing and funding of ‘homosexual material’ or information will lead to life imprisonment.

If you know someone who is gay and you don’t report them within 24 hours you shall face life imprisonment.

There is also a clause that protects people from ‘aggravated homosexuality’ i.e. sodomy. In this clause basically protects minors from homosexuality, leaders parents or guardians who commit sodomy shall also be punished and if the victim of the act is disabled, you will face life imprisonment.

In my opinion, this is a ridiculous bill that should not be turned into law because it is not only a violation of basic human rights but I don’t think you should impose your morals on people. There is also that part that stands up for those that have been sodomised but doesn’t protect those people who were sodomised  but were not a minor, disabled  or in a position where they were abused by parents or guardians. What happens to the people who get sodomised in jail? Or by their date? What happens to them? Which law protects them? So many questions….

I am of the opinion that this bill comes from a point of ignorance, you cannot propose harsh penalties on homosexuals and you have neither interacted with one or been treated badly by one.I think this Republican Liberty Party of Kenya is just trying to remain relevant in a country dominated by Jubilee-ODM politics and if they want to do something good for this country they should come up with relevant laws. Not witch hunting homosexuals such as Joji Baro. Kenya has bigger problems than who is banging who.

Of late the Media has come under criticism from different quarters of concerned parties, be it the government, the general public or even the media practitioners themselves.

Just last week, Julie Gichuru lashed the media for what he called propagating the socialites’ course, today however, renowned businessman Chris Kirubi took his issues with the Media regarding US mission report. Kiburi expresses his frustration to what he describes as the media painting Kenya as a dangerous place.

Yesterday NTV’s Smriti Vidyarthi got to meet Raila Odinga former prime minister and presidential candidate. He was in the NTV Studio to discuss on ODM’s push for a referendum.

Among the things discussed was CORD’s agenda after it launched the Okoa Kenya initiative to push for a referendum, Saba Saba day and how the government has undermined devolution.

 

What do you call a guy with some serious abs? Absy? We shall go with abs. Absy and exceptionally talented Nigerian singer Flavor is currently in the country for the continent’s biggest  TV music show ever, Coke Studio Africa.

Coke Studio is a musical television series produced by the Coca-Cola Company that involves live studio-recorded music concerts by an assortment of artistes.
This show involves a cocktail of artistes from different eras, areas and genres. Among those who have participated in this series in the past includes Diamond, Chidinma, Joel Sebunjo and now Flavor and Kenya’s pop-diva Victoria Kimani who is currently riding high on her latest hit ‘Prokoto’

Do you remember these familiar phrases “Foreskin misleads the mind” “Kikuyu is not a tribe it is an enterprise.” well if you do then certainly these words uttered by non-other than the now Mheshimiwa Moses Kuria has earned him a spot on the most trending items on twitter.

First things off, I think this guy would make a good comedian should he decide to quit his political career. After taking to the social media and posting the controversial ‘foreskin’ thing, he earned a date with Larry Madowo on NTV’s show; the Trend. Apparently he claimed that his post was misunderstood do you know why? According to him, foreskin is the skin from the forehead, at least he argued that way. What he meant is that the brain misleads, do believe that guys? Be the judge for that.

Kuria defended his post and argued that he did not at any point promote tribalism as he off set the common Luo theme; Luo is not a tribe, it is a calling, arguing that the phrase was not perceived as having a tribal inclination then also his invented phrase; Kikuyu is not a tribe, it is an enterprise, should not be misinterpreted as a tribal comment.

Love him, hate him the bottom line; this guy is funny, just do not take him serious.

There is a Kenyan habit that gets me very hot under the collar, makes me blow my gasket and drives me up a wall.

So many phrases, yet not enough to express my feelings towards this Kenyan habit. And no its not spitting snot on the streets or bumping rudely into someone and not apologizing but it is this habit that Kenyans have of tearing each other down.
Even Kenyan musicians such as Sauti Sol have complained of this rampant tendency. Tearing each other down has become cool and you can watch people on social media especially constantly try to out bit** each other, trying to see who comes up with the meanest comment.

We rarely celebrate our own .It started with us not celebrating Lupita till Hollywood nabbed her because they could see here worth, something which we didn’t.

When Prezzo was picked for BBA there was a lot of grumbling and general saltiness till he made it to the finals and now Ella, Kenya’s rumored 2014 BBA rep is being hated on. By Cabu Gah (surprise surprise).And she has not been confirmed yet .

Civil rights activist and blogger Boniface Mwangi is well renowned for cracking the whip against what is perceived as unjust or negligence of assigned responsibility by those in authority.

Well, this time round, Boniface’s anger was directed to no one else other than the one and one governor of Nairobi County. Reason being? Ngara round about, yes the round about which apparently has been turned into a garbage dumping site.

“You claim you want to do slum upgrading but you’re unable to clean up the garbage within the city” uttered angry Boniface. Like him or hate him, this guy certainly speaks the truth and for this he has earned hate from some quarters that do not like being shun on their misdeeds.
