1 FM Radio Personality Attacks Kenya Airways CEO Titus Naikuni For Allegedly Mishandling A Potential Ebola Case -And Gives Witness Evidence

What happens when Kenyans are told that there is a possibility that Ebola could get into the country from West Africa? Pandemonium. Kenyans have now created a new phenomenon to be afraid of and that is the case as we speak. however, there are some genuine concerns being raised and highlighted and this is one such example.

And because I do not know too much about screening for Ebola apart from the appalling fact that obscene amounts of money are now being searched for the as yet nonexistent screening process and this is what happened:

EBOLA_SCREENING.jpg

What the hell is wrong with Kenya Airport Authority get your shift together Nyaikuni already doesn’t give 2 craps about Ebola and you too can’t just put screening points at the airport:

What say you? Does this information make you feel some type of way?
I am still trying to reach out to Titus Naikuni.

Funnyman Obinna Keeps His Promise; He Will Definitely Do it This Month

How many comedians do you know can actually get musical and still entertain you? You are about to find out that soon, I mean not later than this month though, just soon enough.

Obinna Ike Igwe promised to release his new song and it is now a sure deal that the next time you see this comedian on your screen, he will be featuring in his new single debut. This guy surely knows the meaning of hustling, he has a TV and radio shows as well as events and now he is just about to launch his music career, I mean venturing in all sectors of the entertainment industry is not a thing that works well for most of the artistes.

Let us wish him the all the best, hope his music will be worthwhile for you guys to buy, listen, watch or whatever you do with it.

1 FM CEO And Owner Risks Being Kicked Out Of Parliament

For those of you who do not read Ghafla, 1 Fm’s CEO &/or owner Alex Kosgey is a member of the sitting August House representing Emgwen constituency risks being kicked out of the sitting August House because of absonding from seatings in Parliament. And what is even more surprising is the fact that the move came after two voters filed a petition with the National Assembly seeking his removal.

The petitions are based on Article 103(1) (b) of the Constitution which empowers the Speaker to declare office of an MP vacant in case they miss eight consecutive sittings without his written permission.

alexkosgey.jpg

My attention has been drawn to alleged absence for eight days during the current session by member for Rongai and Emgwen. The issues were brought separately by Mr Sylvester Kibet from Rongai and Sam and Langat advocates on behalf of Charles Sang who hails from Emgwen constituency,” Deputy Speaker Joyce Laboso told the National Assembly Tuesday. In all fairness, the claim regarding to the absence of the two members should be thoroughly investigated and reported back to the House within 14 days.

I therefore refer this matter to the Powers and Privileges Committee who shall investigate and report back to the House.

The Powers and Privileges committee chaired by the National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi and is charged with investigating all matters pertaining to the discipline of members.

Meet The Journalists Who Have Made Kenya Proud By Getting Nominated For One Of CNN Biggest Prizes

If you’re into getting the most hard-hitting news then this one is for you. Why? Because it is about that time of the year when we appreciate the journalists who tirelessly and fearlessly endeavour to tell you Africa’s stories, even those that have people sending bullets their way. In Kenya, such journalists would be the likes of Mohammed Ali and Allan Namu and definitely not Uncle Chim Tuna!

Why? Because I have a disgusting habit I am addicted to called breathing that I do not want to give up just yet.

“I Love Sanaipei Tande’s Boobies.” Popular Engaged Actor Confesses

Wow, that’s quite the confession isn’t it? Where did that profession come from and why is he so blunt? Some of you ask.

Well that’s Gerald Langiri for you, he rarely holds back and I think that is something that has made him quite a popular choice when it comes to acting. This was his response to what he thinks of the new trend where  we have seen in Sanaipei Tande bring sexy back in ‘Mfalme Wa Mapenzi‘ and Sauti Sol induce thirst in ‘Nishike.’

“Actually Sanaipei has brought sexy back and I almost wa**ked to that video man, I almost grabbed that that lotion” he confesses.
He then adds that he thinks Kenyans are hypocritical because we watch explicit version of American videos and yet we judge local content when artistes decide to go ‘steamy’. He goes on to add that Sanaipei should continue doing what she is doing in fact he should be cast in the next video.

Fierce Kenyans Force Activist Cabu Gah to Show the White Flag

Do not dare mess with Kenyans on the social media, if this is advice is anything to go by then Cabu Gah just learnt it the hard way.

How do you even bully someone on his own page, this is how crazy Kenyans have come to be of late, resorting to intimidate activist Cabu Gah. This is how it all started; Cabu Gah was not pleased with Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria’s newly invented phrase; Kikuyu is not a tribe, it is an enterprise. He wrote a piece expressing his opinion but it seemed Kenyans loved Kuria’s phrase more and in their numbers, they attacked Cabu Gah forcing him to withdraw his earlier comment.

In the spirit of democracy, Cabu Gah ultimately withdrew his article and bowed to the ‘numbers’ but still maintain the statement by Kuria was a passing JOKE.

Prezzo And Vanessa Chettle Dating (EVIDENCE)

I was searching for information to write up today and I stumbled across quite the gem. What am I yammering about? Well, none other than the fact that Vanessa Chettle and Prezzo have been spotted together getting ever so cosy. What do I mean that they have been spotted together? Well, early last moth, reports started leaking that Prezzo was seeing someone aye?

And while he confirmed that indeed he is seeing someone, he isn’t seeing Vera with whom he was extensively linked. He denied ever having dated Vera but it would seem that he didn’t search further than within entertainment circles.
The rapper who represented Kenya in the Big Brother 7 house and made it all the way to the final has on several occasions been caught out with none other than Vanessa Chettle:

Watermarked_2.jpg

They were seen getting close and cosy at Dala 7s

 Watermarked_3.jpg

They were seen again at Dala 7s trying to hide their affection for each other by being “distant”.

Now for the coup-de-grace: Our eye witness accounts. Yes, not one, but two.

Socialite Huddah Monroe Discredits the Deadly Ebola Virus

Let the partying go on, at least this what Huddah Monroe is thinking after she apparently send a likely indication that she will not be leaving Nigeria any time soon.

We are all seeing how the killer virus Ebola is wreaking havoc in the West African States but our party girl Huddah does not seem to bother at all, personally I will not dare go to West Africa I mean Ebola is real guys and my love for life just supersedes my desire for fun. Huddah is still in Nigeria and she thinks Ebola is just a mere grapevine, “At the end of the day something will kill you” huddah uttered.

Not even Ebola can stop this girl from partying real! Well check out the video she uploaded having fan on a pool in Nigeria:

Tanzania’s finest Diamond Platinumz and Ommy Dimpoz are torturing Kenyan song bird Victoria Kimani with their hot love in their new debut video ‘Prokoto’.

The singing triplets have paired to release yet another hit song that surely will hit the air waves with maximum impact. I do not need to introduce Diamond to you, you all know he is the best, Ommy Dimpoz on the other hand simply knows how to make it rhyme, remember what he did with the hit song Nai Nai,let me just yes he has better his rhyme in this song. The beautiful victory surely shakes it down well than the so called socialites would ever do.

Is This Hot Man Michelle Morgan’s Man? (Photo)

Michelle Morgan’s entrance into the media scene caused quite the reaction.

Kenyan men were of course impressed by her beauty but Kenyan women were dismayed by the attention she got and she got a cold reception form the women folk. Michelle worked in Citizen for 2 years before she joined Ebru TV, an affiliate of Everest TV. Ebru TV is a Turkish media house that launched in Kenya.

ebru.jpg

Michelle has proven that she can hold her own and has risen to become one of Kenya’s greatest news anchors. The half Tanzanian half British beauty recently shared a photo of her cheek getting some action from a man who looked good-looking.

The New Anti-Homosexual Bill Spells Trouble For Gospel Artiste And Other Homosexuals

If you are in tune with local news, I’m sure you have heard of the proposed Kenya Anti Homosexuality Bill, 2014 a.k.a. stone the gays bill.

The bill was proposed by a virtually unknown politician Edward Nyakeriga from a small political party called Republican Liberty Party of Kenya.

Edward a father of two children who neither drinks nor smokes has incidentally never interacted with a gay person and yet wants them stoned to death because the act is unnatural. This knee jerk reaction was inspired by a few gays who were matching for their rights. This act of ‘freedom of expression’ really annoyed one Edward who was of the opinion that “It was an expression of the rot and where we are headed as a society and if there is no deterrence, the society will be very rotten.”

The penalty was life imprisonment for locals and stoning to death in public for foreigners who decided to engage in some hanky-panky with members of the same sex.
Promotion of homosexuality including in the media, online production, sharing and funding of ‘homosexual material’ or information will lead to life imprisonment.

If you know someone who is gay and you don’t report them within 24 hours you shall face life imprisonment.

nyakirega.jpg

Edward Nyakeriga -(Photo Courtesy of Gerald Anderson Nation Media Group)

There is also a clause that protects people from ‘aggravated homosexuality’ i.e. sodomy. In this clause basically protects minors from homosexuality, leaders parents or guardians who commit sodomy shall also be punished and if the victim of the act is disabled, you will face life imprisonment.

In my opinion, this is a ridiculous bill that should not be turned into law because it is not only a violation of basic human rights but I don’t think you should impose your morals on people. There is also that part that stands up for those that have been sodomised but doesn’t protect those people who were sodomised  but were not a minor, disabled  or in a position where they were abused by parents or guardians. What happens to the people who get sodomised in jail? Or by their date? What happens to them? Which law protects them? So many questions….

I am of the opinion that this bill comes from a point of ignorance, you cannot propose harsh penalties on homosexuals and you have neither interacted with one or been treated badly by one.I think this Republican Liberty Party of Kenya is just trying to remain relevant in a country dominated by Jubilee-ODM politics and if they want to do something good for this country they should come up with relevant laws. Not witch hunting homosexuals such as Joji Baro. Kenya has bigger problems than who is banging who.

This is Why Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria is Trending on Twitter

Do you remember these familiar phrases “Foreskin misleads the mind” “Kikuyu is not a tribe it is an enterprise.” well if you do then certainly these words uttered by non-other than the now Mheshimiwa Moses Kuria has earned him a spot on the most trending items on twitter.

First things off, I think this guy would make a good comedian should he decide to quit his political career. After taking to the social media and posting the controversial ‘foreskin’ thing, he earned a date with Larry Madowo on NTV’s show; the Trend. Apparently he claimed that his post was misunderstood do you know why? According to him, foreskin is the skin from the forehead, at least he argued that way. What he meant is that the brain misleads, do believe that guys? Be the judge for that.

Kuria defended his post and argued that he did not at any point promote tribalism as he off set the common Luo theme; Luo is not a tribe, it is a calling, arguing that the phrase was not perceived as having a tribal inclination then also his invented phrase; Kikuyu is not a tribe, it is an enterprise, should not be misinterpreted as a tribal comment.

Love him, hate him the bottom line; this guy is funny, just do not take him serious.

Cabu Gah Publicly Trashes Kenya’s Rumored BBA Rep

There is a Kenyan habit that gets me very hot under the collar, makes me blow my gasket and drives me up a wall.

So many phrases, yet not enough to express my feelings towards this Kenyan habit. And no its not spitting snot on the streets or bumping rudely into someone and not apologizing but it is this habit that Kenyans have of tearing each other down.
Even Kenyan musicians such as Sauti Sol have complained of this rampant tendency. Tearing each other down has become cool and you can watch people on social media especially constantly try to out bit** each other, trying to see who comes up with the meanest comment.

We rarely celebrate our own .It started with us not celebrating Lupita till Hollywood nabbed her because they could see here worth, something which we didn’t.

When Prezzo was picked for BBA there was a lot of grumbling and general saltiness till he made it to the finals and now Ella, Kenya’s rumored 2014 BBA rep is being hated on. By Cabu Gah (surprise surprise). And she has not been confirmed yet .

This is what he said:

ella.jpg

Her name is Ella Ciku.

And this,Ladies and Gentlemen, will be KENYA’S REPRESENTATIVE to the BIG BROTHER AFRICA show.

Looks like we’ve already lost the Cash Prize…Haha

Pendo Is Back.Check Out Her New Look (Photos)

There was a time that Pendo was in every blog, every tabloid and practically everyone’s mouth.

Her pictures were scandalous and antics legendary, perfect fodder for tabloids.

But somewhere along the line she fell off the map, I don’t know if it was by choice or because the socialite scene was suddenly crowded. Anyhow that’s the past and it seems Pendo wants to re invent herself, and what better way than to try a new look?

Lupita Nyong’o Experiences Love in The Making

After recently being named the best dressed international celebrity, Lupita took her time to appreciate the man who adds beauty to her life; Ted Gibson with a special message.

Ted Gibson an accomplished international celebrity hair stylish recently walked down the aisle and Lupita shared the latter’s joyful ceremony by accrediting him to her success. I mean who would not want such a star to recognize his/her effort, everyone or let just say most of the people like to associate themselves with movers and shakers the globe has to offer.

Activist Boniface Mwangi Furiously Lashes Governor Kidero

Civil rights activist and blogger Boniface Mwangi is well renowned for cracking the whip against what is perceived as unjust or negligence of assigned responsibility by those in authority.

Well, this time round, Boniface’s anger was directed to no one else other than the one and one governor of Nairobi County. Reason being? Ngara round about, yes the round about which apparently has been turned into a garbage dumping site.

“You claim you want to do slum upgrading but you’re unable to clean up the garbage within the city” uttered angry Boniface. Like him or hate him, this guy certainly speaks the truth and for this he has earned hate from some quarters that do not like being shun on their misdeeds.

Jaguar Goes House Shopping In South Africa For A House Worth 100 Million Shillings

Jaguar is without a doubt one of the most caked Kenyan entertainers of our generation and possibly of any Kenyan generation because let’s get real, Kenyans haven’t always appreciated their entertainers who have had to contend with living in poverty for all their troubles. But not Jaguar. The lad has been making some serious moves!

jaguar is in the African country down under and he has been looking to purchase some real estate and his budget is said to be the range of 100 million Kenya shillings. Why? Because he is said to be looking to invest in a studio in South Africa where he can work with some top South African producers and hopefully crack the nut of going continental which still seems to elude Kenyan artists.

And why bother to rent a premises when he can just buy a house and build the studio within? Win-win if ever I saw a proactive solution.

Huddah Monroe Unleashes A Scathing Attack On Vera Sidika

Huddah, Huddah, Huddah, the lass has decided to savagely attack Vera Sidika over her failure to get into the Big Brother house. We all know that Vera was billed as the possible Kenyan contestant set to represent the country but things have reportedly gone awry for the lovely lass who was earlier today reminiscing about about her visit to a children’s home…

And Huddah has taken the opportunity to lash out at her “perceived” foe -and I say perceived ever so tongue-in-cheek because Vera called it quits in their feud but oh well.

This is what Huddah posted:

Turns out its Big Brother Africa not Big Brother PLASTICA!.. anyway, Ellah Ciiku is our BBA Rep Now.
Meanwhile,, Introducing HUDDAH by VAZZI..Making Money is easy especially if you’re an Entrepreneur.. Online Money Making is easier CLICK ( http://earn4task.com/?id=19004 ) for those Lazy Asses Thank Me Later . Anyhu, Keep an eye for HUDDAH by VAZZI Kenya coming to a Store near you.. Bless!

And this was after Vera Sidika had opened up about the whole Big Brother Africa fiasco saying thus:

Been getting lots of inbox messages–rumours going round about BBA. Media should stop misleading my sweethearts/fans. I am not going for BBA. They are just using my name to make news.
All the blogs and papers should stop with gutter press. I wouldn’t want y’all to fall for such then anticipate. Just know it’s all lies my sweethearts.
Blessed Sunday.
Much love —

So the question that pops to mind is why Huddah is kicking Vera when she’s down. That just seems cruel.

Sauti Sol Stole My Song Alleges Upcoming Artist -And He Has Evidence To Back His Claims

Sauti Sol are one of Kenya’s hottest entertainment finds of recent history and they have managed to remain relevant unlike so many of their peers simply because they produce hot new music. And they are currently riding the wave of their hot new jam called “Sura Yako“.

{youtube}YFX9UGqQ60w{/youtube}

But now, there is some controversy following their successful release of the jam and it comes in the form of an upcoming artist who accuses them of stealing his instrumentals.
The artist whose government names are Simon Mandela Murunda but who goes by the stage name Parroty claims that on an off chance, he got to meet Polycarp of Sauti Sol after giving him a ride in his car and from there they begun talking about music and the entertainment industry by and large.

That was when Parroty told Polycarp that he had some music he was working on and he wanted him to give him some advice as an established artist, a decision he now regrets.
Polycarp allegedly heard the “chakacha” instrumentals and fell inlove with them. So much so alleges Parroty that he decided to use them for their hit “Sura Yako“.

Here the original track originally is:

{youtube}k4PUmTpwp18{/youtube}

And here the raw instrumentals are. I have since been trying to reach out to both Polycarp and/or their P.R manager Anyiko Awoko to no avail. I will keep you posted as the situation unfolds.

Major Shake Up Lined Up For Ghetto Radio Sends Scares Through the Whole Radio Station

There are clouds gathering over Ghetto radio. There are dark, ominous clouds a-gathering over the radio station and the bell seems to be tolling for the head of the station. Of whom do I speak? None other than Maji Maji. Reports just in from a source withing the station say some changes are afoot that will see the radio executive outed.

According to a source within the radio station, they were acquired by a new investor who was unimpressed by Maji maji’s resume and the work he has been putting in at the station as they have lost ground nationally to stations such as Radio Jambo ever since they lost Mbusi.

mbusi.png

And then there is the fact Maji Maji has failed to counter the steps made by his station’s rivals to try and get a foothold in the lower LSM audience.

Proof of trouble looming was provided by Robert Alai and you can check it out below (it’s the advertisement for people looking to replace Maji Maji):

Betty Kyallo and Dennis Okari make one of the cutest couples in the Kenyan media scene.

DNG Humiliates Hot Dancehall Artist On National Radio

Bullying is the use of force, threat, or coercion to abuse, intimidate, or aggressively dominate others. The behavior is often repeated and habitual. One essential prerequisite is the perception, by the bully or by others, of an imbalance of social or physical power. Behaviors used to assert such domination can include verbal harassment or threat, physical assault or coercion, and such acts may be directed repeatedly towards particular targets.

In today’s world bullying however takes on many forms such as mockery. Here’s an interesting instance:

I have always believed that before you talk about a man, you should give him right of reply. It’s just the honourable thing to do. But today in the morning as I was listening in to 1FM, I managed to overhear DNG and Lulu Said as they mocked a fellow Kenyan artist called Blaqy.

Now, because I believe in giving everyone the benefit of a doubt, let me create a hypothetical scenario in which the pair were trying to help Blaqy with what they felt was constructive criticism… And even though that is a bit of a stretch, allow me to assume that it was the case. In which case what I would say is that it is a horrible way to either correct someone or give them advice.

This is what happened for those of you who need me to spell things out, DNG played excerpts of Blaqy’s latest track which features a cameo by Risper Faith:

{youtube}o9mAxagA8Gk{/youtube}

And he kept railing at it. First for Blaqy’s accent, next for the way he sings the track and finally for Risper Faith’s performance in the video. Anyway, whatever the case may be, this is how it seemed like to me:

We have DNG, mocking and humiliating two young gifted (most would argue that this debatable but whatever) Kenyans. To me it was disgusting. For two reasons, the first of which is the fact that I thought all the high school bullies had outgrown the need to attack and humiliate their victims but clearly I was wrong.

Secondly, the attacks on Blaqy were ill advised because DNG being an artist himself knows just how hard it is to get support from the local media -afterall, his songs have only been playing on his show at 1 FM. So what I do not get is why he is trying not just discourage Blaqy but to humiliate him aswell?

What is the endgame? To sap out the life from Kenya’s entertainment scene? Or was he simply being CRUEL to Blaqy for kicks? And what better way to humiliate someone than on a platform that affords you complete control and comfort and an audience? This move stank of cruelty I haven’t seen since clearing high school!

But at the end of the day, another day is gone and Blaqy got the free publicity. Checkmate!

Meet The Man Responsible For Making KTN’s Screen Sirens Look Good (Photo)

Gorgeous. That’s one that can be used to describe how TV presenters look when they hit our screens.

A lot of work is put to ensure they look their very best and that is where make-up artistes come into play.

KTN just like other stations have makeup artists ready for even the tiniest of touchups. And this young man is part of the A-Team that ensures that our presenters look exceptional.

His name is Collins who Joy Doreen Bira describes as “One energetic 21yr old. He’s got contagious positive attitude, discipline and is one of the best time keeping people you’ll meet.”

Collins is a college student who doubles up as a makeup artiste. Here he is chilling with Joy Doreen:

Kalekye Mumo Blatantly Defends Selfies

Taking a photograph of yourself and uploading it to the social media is the simplest definition of a selfie, well this is the new trend across the globe and if you thought it is done entirely for the sake of fun only, worry no more as Kalakye Mumo will definitely give you the reason.

First of all let me give you a hiccup of how it started, for those ones of you who do not reside anywhere near Nairobi; yesterday the city was grasped by a cold weather and apparently Kiss 100 FM presenter Kalekye is quite innovative too, she just discovered that taking a selfie help keep the scorching cold away.

So all in all, if you ever feel cold from now henceforth, just take a selfie and you will get that much needed warmth. Here is the selfie Kalekye took yesterday.

If you love One F.M, I am sure you have heard of Chito. Actually is you are also a fan of the trend you might have spotted him on the ‘Vera Sidika enlarges her breasts episode’.

Chito has often been accused of being callous when it comes to critiquing especially of musicians but the mellow voiced presenter took to Facebook to contest these claims

chito_ndlovu.jpg

People out here telling me ohh Chito you are so negative always beating down Kenyan artist’s and their music you are too much of a critique well I love Kenyan music so much and that is why I will not call substandard amazing or give poor the praise it does not deserve, the Kenyan artist needs to get serious there are songs that are out-rightly bad some try but for us to compete with international artists we need to meet the world standards the Kenyan artist must wake up stop expecting praise and work hard work work then we shall praise you…for example as much I hit Sauti Sol they are creative artists who still need a push to get that MAMA the next time, Redsan is a good artist, David Hermlin is amazing, Collo is a good rapper, Khaligraph Jones is amazing somebody give him a whiskey, Willy Paul Msafi my brother is good but he can do better and I know he will, we can do better lets stop looking for undeserved praise, even I don’t like Yes men I like people who give it to me like it is
