So This is What Ken Wa Maria and Hussein Machozi Have Been Secretly Doing; Here Are the Details

Everyone can even bribe me when i say that Fundamental song has been the top tune for this year and whoever rejects has to be playing his or her pagan character.

Many have been trying to reach Ken Wa Maria regarding the remix of his household tune Fundamental but it seems the sensational singer has been playing his cards carefully. He took his time and decided he needed a bongo tune in the remix of his hit song Fundamental.

Bongo finest Hussein Machozi and T-Broz have been featured in the remix of Ken Wa Maria’s Fundamental; the song is said to incorporate different languages and widely expected to hit the airwaves like the original. “I am done with my pure English and Swahili album don’t get surprised that am crossing over slowly but sure watch this space” said Ken Wa Maria. Ken won recently bagged MCSK award for his hit song and he is looking forward to achieve big with its remix as well.

JULIANI and BRENDA WAIRIMU Bracing Themselves For Parenthood (Evidence)

Word has been in the streets, walls, posts and boards that singer Juliani and actress Brenda Wairimu are not just acquaintances, but also friends and more importantly, lovers.

They say in Swahili, ‘Lisemwalo Lipo, na kama halipo, liko njiani laja’ simply translated as what is said is true, if not, it will be true soon.

And it will not be long before we see the two love birds starting their parenthood as Juliani clearly made us to believe when he shared this captivating photo.

JULIANI

Interestingly, Juliani followed the photo with a caption that leaves so much room for speculation. Asking us who the odd one out was from the photo, Juliani simply implied that two among the three in the photo had an intimate relationship.

And that cannot be Juliani and the kid. Neither can it be Brenda and the kid. Now you have the answer.

brenda-wairimu2

Brenda Wairimu

Juliani has before denied of any affair with Brenda Wairimu but each day, every time, evidence is popping up that indeed the two celebrities are more than just lovebirds. Each other’s heart is sweet to the other; sweeter than you can imagine.

ROBERT ALAI Badly Attacks BBA Evictee ALUSA. Incredible! #BBAHotshots

Melvin Alusa is one unhappy man after he was evicted from Africa’s biggest reality show, the Big Brother Africa. This means that Kenya is no longer represented in the continental reality show as the last man standing from our territories was shown the door last night. The other contestant, Sabina Stadler, had been chased early on.

However, as controversial as Alai is, he has once again created controversy. This time round, he has placed and pressed a hot nail on Alusa’s fresh wound by labelling the evictee boring, shallow and idiotic.

Alai goes on to thank God for Alusa’s eviction, probably because he feels Alusa failed to do enough to represent Kenya across Africa from South Africa.

Alai

So why did Alai have to attack Alusa this much when other Kenyans are symphathizing with the BBA representative?

Only Robert Alai can give an answer to this.

Alusa was the only BBA representative for Kenya after Sabina Stadler, the other representative was evicted from the show.

AlusaKE33

Melvin Alusa

Do you agree with Alai that Alusa was boring, shallow and idiotic?

Is Alai simply implying that those who picked Alusa for the show made a massive blunder?

These and many more questions will linger on amidst us as we contemplate the bitter lose of Kenyan representation in the biggest reality show in continental Africa.

After Winning MTV Award, Sauti Sol Invited to State House by President Uhuru (Photo)

President Uhuru Kenyatta was celebrating his 53rd birthday yesterday and he invited award winning Sauti Sol to hang out with.

Hanging out with the commander-in-chief is one thing many only dream of but Sauti Sol’s success has lifted them to greater heights as they freely mingled with the president himself. The singing quartet has become Kenya’s ambassadors in global music arena having bagged the world’s prestigious MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA) and the president sure wanted to personally congratulate them and he therefore invited them to his birthday party.

The president’s security detail allowed Sauti Sol to freely interact with the commander-in-chief, see how Sauti Sol was free to hug the President. Anyway wish Uhuru a late happy birthday and thumbs up to Sauti Sol.

Ringtone’s ‘Single Status’ Is A Lie, Fans Say

We like gossip. Gossip makes good news. But this is not gossip. It is what singer Ringtone had to say when he was confronted by Larry Madowo and BBA evictee Sabina Stadler on NTV’s The Trend.

Ringtone appeared to avoid the question at first but when pressure from the dual increased, he had to inadvertently declare that he is single and probably, contented.

This seems to have not gone well with some fans who happen to know more about Ringtone and quickly, they took to social media to brush aside Ringtone’s claim that he is single.

So why would a celebrity lie on a national TV when fans seem to know more about his status?

Early this year, it was rumoured that Ringtone was dating former Miss Kenya, Susan Onyango, but the singer’s sentiments on The Trend last Friday seem to bash aside the speculation.

After Ringtone made the statement clear, fans took to social media to say this:

Kenyans Maul Singer RINGTONE on Social Media After He Caused A Fracas On NTV’s The Trend

When celebrities fail to present themselves to their fans especially on national television platforms, they automatically face the wrath of the same fans that have build them over time.

This is exactly what Gospel Singer Ringtone is undergoing at the moment after he badly presented himself on Larry Madowo’s show, The trend, on NTV last Friday.

In what was seen as lack of self control and courtesy, Ringtone was completely uncontrollable live on TV, giving Larry Madowo the hardest time to manage his antics.

And this seems to have left many viewers raged with the uncalled for behaviour, leading to the roasting of the singer on Larry Madowo’s facebook post.

The question is, why would a celebrity of Ringtone’s stature find it difficult to respect himself on national TV?

This is what Larry Madowo posted and below are the responses:

End of the Road for Team Kenya; Alusa Unexpectedly Kicked Out of BBA #BBAHotshots

Kenyans are officially the most boring people in Africa; at least that is the assumption one could easily conclude following how Africa voted for the 7 BBA Hotshots housemates who were up for the 3rd eviction.

The popularity vote did not work well for Alusa as he only managed to receive one country vote from the 15 African countries that were voting for the housemates who were up for the evictions; in simpler term only Kenya voted for Alusa. Namibia’s Permithias, Tanzania’s Laveda and Alusa all received one vote each therefore tie breaker rule had to be applied for two housemates to be evicted. Laveda and Alusa had the least votes and were therefore evicted from the house; Alusa makes history for being the first male housemate to be evicted while Kenya’s jinx in BBA also continues as it also becomes the first country to lose all its two contestants in BBA Hotshots.

Alusa’s exit even shocked fellow housemates and Ghana’s Ma’m Bea was inconsolable when she learnt of Alusa’s eviction. Tanzania’s Idris and Zimbabwe’s JJ are some of the housemates who felt bad when Alusa was kicked out as they were tight friends too. Well next year is not far after all, hope by then we will have contestants who will please the African viewers and avoid these early embarrassing evictions. Check out the video below:

#10Teacher Wanjiku Has A New Show

Dear Uhuru Kenyatta,You Should Meet This Young Man. And Yes,He Should Be Your Guest At State House. Because You Won’t Believe What He Just Did For You.

A Young Man has SHAKEN the Whole Country. Not with his nude pics…Or a ratchet video…But with an Uhuru Kenyatta painting that has got the whole Twitter and Facebook and Celebrities bowing down to him. Dennis Itumbi is awed by Him. And DJ Sadic is crazy about him. But who is this guy???

His name is Collins Omondi Okello. Or Collins Thinktank Okello on Facebook. And Yesterday,Collins did something that he had NO idea would catapult him to the kind of immediate stardom and feverish attention he has received.

In the last 24 Hours,Collins has been a Social Media Celebrity. His drawing of Uhuru Kenyatta that he posted on Facebook Yesterday has got him soooo much attention and admiration and adoration all across the Country that Collins is having trouble keeping up with the fanatical attention.

But Collins has ALWAYS been an Artist. A sketch Artist with the godly skill of Van Gogh and the mastery of Michelangelo. Collins,a 24 Year Old Kisumu-based Artist has been drawing sketches and masterful paintings of famous celebrities, regular people and public personalities for Years now.

Collins simply takes Your photo, skims through it and with the skill of a god and the adeptness of a genius,Collins draws You out in the EXACT way You are. Or appear.

I wont talk much. So Allow Me to introduce You to Collins’ Best Work. THE FAMOUS UHURU KENYATTA DRAWING. And,In My Opinion,This photo should NOT only be bought by His Excellency Uhuru Kenyatta, but also archived at State House for generations to come. This is Kenya’s Monalisa.

And before we go to the ICONIC Photo,How about we start with the Artist’s own photo? Great!

And here is the Photo that Should NOT only capture Uhuru Kenyatta’s eye,But also warrant Collins his maiden visit to the Hallowed House On The Hill;State House.

And here are the initial photos of Him….Drawing Up Our Eminent President…

Here…..

But before He drew up Our President…And caught the attention of Media and Political Heavyweights including Mike Sonko and Jeff Koinange,Collins had always done other equally outstanding sketches….And here is a sample…..

Ever imagined what Kenyans can say, do or think? Larry Madowo wanted to know why Sabina Stadler did not last long enough in Big Brother Africa and believe me the responses he got indicate clearly that when you have a problem, there are those who will sympathize with you and others will laugh at you.

In his facebook page, Larry asked this question and here are some of the funny responses Kenyans gave:

Renowned Author Confesses To Being Called a ‘Monkey ‘on Jeff Koinange Live

Racism has been as old as the human race. From slavery to, colonialism to racial separatism the human race has seen it all.

But the race that has received the brunt of racism are black people who even in modern times black people are thought of as the lesser race based on our skin color.

Dr Myles Monroe Author who is currently in the country was recently hosted on Jeff Koinange Live and opened up about receiving racist comments from his teacher as a child. The teacher was Scottish and he came and told the impressionable little black kids that they were ‘less evolved beings, half breed humans. That ‘black people cannot learn sophisticated things; black people’s brains are not yet evolved.

Something that he says affected him as a child impressionable child and the F he got from his exam results seemed to reinforce what his teacher told him. Did he rise above the negativity or did he succumb to the negativity? Watch the clip below

Meet DJ Joe Mfalme’s Sister, They Are Practically Twins (Photo)

Talk of that striking resemblance then DJ Joe’s sister will surprise you by her stunning likeness to her mix master brother.

Have you ever meet that family where siblings look so alike to each other? Well, wait till you meet DJ Joe Mfalme’s family; Joe and his sister have a remarkable resemblance one can actually think they are twins. I bet either of them don’t need to introduce each other as siblings to a stranger because the physical look will definitely tell it all.

Wait a minute, actually Joe and his sister did take their looks from their mother; see how the three look alike? Guess taking a selfie with his family and sharing it on the social media Joe just wanted to tell people how gorgeous his family is.

Teacher Wanjiku Has A New Show

I have good news for all Teacher Wanjiku fans; she is making her way back to our screens.

Our computer screens to be precise. I came across a video of Teacher Wanjiku in animation form talking about a workshop which  conductors and other workers of the Public Service Industry were expected to attend.

Was it an advertisement for a workshop or was there more than met the eye?We decided to find out what the clip was about.

The good teacher informed us that this was a promo for a new animation series  that will be exclusively aired on you tube. This comes about 7 months since her short-lived show on Citizen TV  was cancelled after it received negative reactions on Social Media.

tr_wanjiku.jpg

By the look of things, this could be the much needed boost that will put Teacher Wanjiku’s career back on track, but that is just my opinion.

Could this show give Teacher Wanjiku her second chance in the unforgiving  entertainment industry?

Forget the famous bootylicious cop Linda Okello, Massiger or better known as Swagger Cop has gone a notch higher to reveal the good and talented side of the boys in blue.

How does he balance the two demanding responsibilities: law enforcement and a performing artiste? This is the question many will ask themselves when you get to know of Massiger; he is an active cop with the Kenyan police while on the same time an active musician with shows to attend. According to him the answer is simple,“discipline and big prayer”. Exclusive Eye-Catching Photos From Talib Kweli’s Concert at Ebony Lounge

Did you miss Talib Kweli’s gig at Ebony Lounge? Well no need to worry as the exciting show was caught on camera and sure you can catch a glimpse of it too.

Last night revelers flocked Ebony Lounge in Museum Hill to attend Talib Kweli’s concert which I would say was a straight “A” rated performance. Local rappers Kaligraph Jones and Muthoni the Drummer Queen took on the stage and spited their vibes to light up revelers before the American rapper finally came and continue to rock the excited crowd.

Whoever said hip hop lovers are expensive and have class sure speaks the truth as revelers flocked Ebony Lounge in their numbers despite the tickets to the concert retailing at Ksh 2,000; BBA Hotshots evictee Sabina was among the many many that attended that gig. Check out the interesting photos from the concert:

Fashion Diary: 5 Biggest Fashion Fails Associated With Men!

Fashion is an extension of oneself, it is an expression of innate sensibilities. That said, sometimes in a bid to express ones sensibilities, Fashion goes west, epic fails, dramatic show of skin, faux pas, you name it!

Here are the Five worst Fashion Fails

1. Sagging Pants

I don’t know why and how men feel the need to sag their pants, but it is one of the most annoying ;thing ever, especially if the pants are the skinny jeans that leave your butt hanging precariously

Male Fashion Fails : theBERRY

LifeOver35: London Fashion Week: ten male style mistakes - 200th blog entry on my men's lifestyle site, all about how not to look!

2.Dark sunglasses indoors or in the evening

Well?If you are not a thug, please don’t  attempt this. Yes, you may be oozing fashion from all levels but sunglasses should be worn in the sun.

3. Ill  fitting clothes

That ill fitting blazer that is two sizes bigger, those pants that make you look like a thug with an identity crisis, those pants that are too tight that they make you look suffocated, lose them, lose anything that has the tag “Ill fitting” it is just not good for you.

4.Pants with pleats!

Well, pants with pleats belong to the Renaissance and reconciliation era, they scream and smell of all manners of old-fashioned, i have seen a pretty good number of guys rocking “chinos”  with lots of pleats, this is not cool, Pleats are hippie! You are not a hippie, don’t act like one.

5.Too much Bling

One chain at a go is good, Dont over-do it .. no one cares  just how much gold or silver you can wear at go! Are you insecure?

Q F.M ‘s Radio Presenter As A Cross-Dresser (Photos)

Cross dressing is a habit that is generally frowned upon in society but is slowly becoming common in society.

We hear tales of men who leave work on Fridays as John Kamau but spend the whole weekend in a dress as Joanna Kamau. And cross dressing should not be mistaken for being gay or transgender. There are people who like to dress up like ladies but are not necessarily gay or transgender.

I happen to land my hands on a few photos of Q F.M‘s presenter Antony Kukuni back in college, where he cross dressed. No, he is not a frequent cross dresser so it’s highly unlikely you bump into him wearing a skirt, but he is an actor who at times plays feminine roles. Here are photos of Antony back in college on a stage in a play at Alliance Françoise

Maliza Umaskini Founder Weighs in on MCSK-Artists Tussle

Monday, on the sidelines of MCSK Gala, a section of aggrieved artistes were up in arms against the music body protesting non-payment. And now, Maliza Umaskini founder, Mr. Sadat Muhindi, has added his voice in the ongoing tussles.

Sadat, a music connoisseur, whose foundation – Maliza Umaskini – is nurturing music talents like the fast rising Gospel singer, Papa Dennis, is of the opinion that MCSK is not solely to blame for artistes empty wallets. In fact, he says that MCSK only takes 10% of the blame and the other should be on the media (radio, DJs and TV). Arguing that since radios, TV stations and deejays aren’t playing enough Kenyan music, the payment the artists receive will forever be peanuts since MCSK pay per airplay given.

“It can’t be that our media outlets are playing 80% foreign content and giving Kenyan music only 20%. That way, artistes shall forever be paupers and will be at loggerheads with MCSK for low royalties”, Sadat chimes in. He adds, “If you go to Nigeria or SA, 90% of the content you’ll hear on radio and see on TV is purely local. And only a paltry 10% is given to foreign content. Why can’t Kenyan radio and TV deejays emulate that?” Sadat adds that the only way that the industry can grow is first, by appreciating what truly ours. He concludes his remarks to blame the media for not supporting them instead of blaming MCSK. Here’s Papa Dennis’ video that won’t leave people’s lips anytime soon:

Former Capital F.M Presenter Follows In Brenda Wairimu’s Footsteps

Grace Makosewe has one of the best voices on radio and thankfully she does not have a face for radio. She is as beautiful as her voice.

She has worked for Capital F.M and she now works at Urban Radio. But she there is more to her than a pretty face and an alluring voice, Makosewe has a big heart.

Just like Brenda Wairimu who has donated sanitary towels to the less fortunate, Makosewe recently visited various schools and donated towels to girls in Migori County.

The schools visited include Kolwal, Lwala, Ober, Osogo and Kanyakech Primary Schools .And Makosewe is once again gearing up for a sanitary drive in the same county in November.

Please help me spread the word about my Sanitary Towels Distribution cause. We are off to deliver some more to the same 5 schools in Migori in November. #Share

Jackson Njeru’s Dead Beat Kenya Removed From Facebook

It seems men who have forsaken their parental responsibilities can now breathe a sigh of relief as the original Facebook group that used to air their dirty linen in public has been removed from social media.

If you try searching Dead Beat Kenya on Facebook, two pages are likely to pop up ; Dead Beat Kenya which as over eighty one thousands likes and Dead Beat Kenya Updates which has over ninety one thousand likes. If you are keen enough you will notice that the original Dead Beat Kenya is missing; first of all it was a group while these two duplicates are a page.

The original Dead Beat Kenya had over two hundred thousand members by the time it was taken down and now the other pages have taken up the job of ironing men. The group quickly gained popularity not only from Kenya but abroad as well and even international media like CNN and BBC featured it in their story. It finally seems the whining men who were complaining about the group have gotten their way since the group has been removed from Facebook.

After Getting Fired from Nation F.M and Allegedly Urban Radio Edward Kwach Lands a New Job

Edward Kwach takes the cake for the ‘most fired’ presenter in Kenya. He has been fired from quite a number of Radio stations that include Capital FM, Kiss FM, Nation FM and most recently Urban radio. But like the legendary mythological phoenix Edward Kwach ALWAYS rises from the ashes, always. Make no mistake, Edward will always find a way out from unemployment. He is just that guy.

And Kwach is back to the entertainment scene after allegedly being fired from Urban radio in August this year.He will be now hosting the premiere sports quiz in Kenya, The Bingwa Sports Quiz.

This time it will be at Natives Sports Bar and Grill on Thika Road after a 2 year break this coming Thursday 30th October 2014 from 7p.m. This is an English pub-style Sports Quiz with a local twist where fun loving sports fans get a chance to win Kshs. 10,000/- for knowing the most about sports in general and local sports in particular. This will be accompanied by great music interludes from Dj Mr. C of Spin Cycle Djs and of course banter from the outrageous Edward Kwach.

kwach.jpg

Set in the fabulous Natives Sports Bar ambiance accompanied by finger-licking food and drinks on offer, it is set to be a great night of fun and sports. In a bid to recognize and support outstanding individuals in Kenyan sports, there is usually a special invited guest from the sports fraternity gracing the event to meet and greet their fans. This months’ guest will be Mr. Francis Kimanzi, the current Tusker FC Manager and former Harambee Stars Coach.

The Bingwa Sports Quiz was conceived in November 2011 with the long term aim of promoting local sports through highlighting knowledge about local sports events in addition to achievements of local sportsmen and women. One of the main short term objectives is to act as a platform for the local sports/corporate fraternity to network, unwind and have some friendly fun competition amongst themselves. Another short term objective is to encourage interest in local sports by making knowledge/skill in sports a plus to assist in winning the fantastic rewards at the quiz night. “We believe when people interact with sports it fosters positive sports virtues, which can be taken back to their work and homes for a better, healthier and more productive life.” read a statement from Ed Kweri, one of the organizers.

Why Nishike Is the Best Thing That Has Ever Happened To Sauti Sol

Sauti Sol’s Nishike was steamy, it was sensual,it was controversial and different from what we are used to.

It was a far cry from the half-baked videos that featured girls twerking their pants off to garner you tube video views. It was different from the ‘rusha mikono kwa hewa’ songs that have become commonplace in Kenya. It stood out.It was not only different from Kenyan music but it was a side of Sauti Sol we had never seen.

For some this different side of ‘Sauti Sol’ made them uncomfortable. And that is when Sauti Sol started losing out corporate and fans who felt that Sauti sol was too risqué and not family friendly.

They may have lost out on a few fans and a few corporates, but the world finally took notice of Sauti Sol.They were no longer boys but men, no longer a local band but a worldwide brand .And that is when international acts such as Davido and Chidinma taking notice of them. They even got hang out with Trey Songz and Miguel, something which no Kenyan artiste had eve done.

And yesterday, they won and a MTV EMA Award and have now been declared this year’s Best African act. In addition they also released the remix to ‘Sura Yako’ featuring one of Nigeri’as biggest acts, Iyanya.

Fêtes I do not think they would have achieved without stepping out of their comfort zone. Breaking free from the status quo and making the world their stage. It can only get better from here.

This Is What Juliani Thinks About Nairobians. Are You In This Category?

Only in hospitals do we pay for advice. However, in most cases advice is given free of charge, just like God showers rain on and for us without necessarily requiring you to pay bills for the same.

And singer Juliani has taken the initiative of offering his feelings about the people of Nairobi.

It seems over the years that the singer has lived in the capital, he has quite a number of things, among them the behaviours and cultures of the people of Nairobi.

But who exactly has subjected Juliani to this kind of embarrassment that he has opted to share it social media?

It is like someone is not working out his energy to earn something for their stomach, prompting Juliani to angry say:

Do you agree with Juliani’s sentiments that Nairobians only become busy when eating? Are you the person Juliani is talking about?

JULIANI: You Are Not Skilled Enough To Handle Kenyan Jobs

The number of jobless people in Kenya is growing each day, accusations are traded every now and again over who is responsible for the joblessness and at the end of the day, Kenyans remain a suffering lot.

However, singer Juliani is seemingly jumping to the defence of the government of the day over the bitter issue of joblessness.

As the government is facing massive pressure to provide jobs for the citizen, Juliani feels that should not happen as there are enough jobs in Kenya but those who are supposed to take them are not skilled enough.

This might not sound real to many Kenyans who have struggled through thick and thin to remain relevant in the job industry only to be frustrated by the lack of the jobs they so crave.

However, as the saying goes everybody is entitled to their opinions and what you can do is respect Juliani’s.

Here is what he tweeted:

Gospel Artiste Turns Out to be a Lousy Drunkard (Photos+Videos)

Talib Kweli’s concert saw a conglomeration of fans and local artists from across the divide but one celebrity who is well known to have converted to gospel shocked many when liquor took the best of her and started behaving funny.

Do you remember the famous Compe remix song? Well the singer of that song Michelle was caught on camera when alcohol had taken the better of her; she was not behaving so well and curious onlookers decided to record that embarrassing moment. It seemed Talib Kweli’s concert at Ebony Lounge last night took her to greater height of self enjoyment.

mich1

Michelle quit singing secular songs and turned to gospel music however her star never shone that bright as compared to her secular heydays when she was a very big club name.

mich2

She became the centre of attraction to the curious flashing cameras when she started displaying some characters that are best reserved to drunkards and the whole incident even became more exciting since she is known to be a gospel artiste.

mich3

So a gospel artiste attending a concert by a secular musician and even gets drunk, has Michelle denounced her “gospel artiste” status or is she just preaching water and drinking wine? Check the videos below:

Men Will Absolutely Love This As Women Get Jealous After NTV Host Releases A Song In Praise Of Men. See This Video

We are so much used to musicians releasing songs praising the curvaceous bodies of women, the killing smiles, the sweet, warm smells and the killer behinds. This is what we have grown to hear.

Rarely do ladies shower praises on men. But when they do, they do it in style.

NTV Crossover 101 host Faith Muturi has teamed up with her sister to release one for men, and specifically fathers who are not dead beats.

In her video, Faith praises her father whom she believes was the reason she is what she is today. She goes ahead to praise all men who have not shunned their duties and who have stood with their families, just like her father.

Here is the video:
