Ebola Might Not be a Threat in Kenya but You Can Get AIDS and Numerous Diseases; US Televangelist Cautions (Video)

Americans have been warned to be extremely cautious when traveling to Kenya as CBN TV’s Evangelist Pat Robertson has insinuated that they could get a numerous diseases to pose a great danger to them.

In a response to an email message from an anonymous viewer who asked whether it was dangerous to visit Kenya during the Ebola pandemic in Africa; US televangelist Pat Robertson sent a STRONG warning to caution fellow Americans of the dangers they would encounter if they dared visit Kenya. “You might not contact Ebola in Kenya, you might get AIDS in Kenya, people have AIDS. They got mosquitoes they bite you, you can get diseases, water is not sterilized you can get intestinal bugs” Pat uttered.

He was responding to a quarry from anonymous viewer who had emailed him in his club 700 show which airs on CBN TV. Pat’s warning is rather over rated and clearly depicts the negative notions that he has over Kenya in specific and Africa in general.

“If you overseas DON’T eat fresh vegetable, DON’T drink ice in any drink because the water is not pure. Avoid milk, it is not pasteurized” Pat continued to warn his viewers. It seemed the old folk had completely lost his mind and for a moment while watching the clip, I couldn’t help but imagine how long it would have taken him to Google stuff about Kenya and pass on the right information. Mhh but then again I came to think of it; Evangelist Pat Robertson is an old folk of the 20th century, probably he doesn’t have the slightest idea of what Google is. His imagination of Africa is tied to colonial era when the West saw Africa as a dump site and as a place where they could exploit.

Meet Darshan, In His 20’s and Already a Billionaire #DarshanChandaria

For majority of us, our 20’s are spent in mediocre jobs, dingy bars and in awfully lot of bad decisions. Not for this guy however. In his 20’s, he’s already the director at Chandaria industries. This is a flagship of Chandaria group with several other industries in Tanzania, Uganda and India.

Darshan Chandaria is at the helm of this all under the stewardship of his father Mahesh Chandaria. And he didn’t just inherit all this; he has worked hard to be where he is. A business management graduate, his love for business emanates from his university days. Instead of spending his time gallivanting in the clubs like most of us, he spent his time working with different businesses and mostly at Chandaria industries.

And there is more. He’s also a member of Young Presidents to organizations (YPO), African leadership Network, and African philanthropy forum amid others. This has taken him to many countries like Lagos, Los Angeles, New York and Hong Kong in an aim to interact with many other youth coaching them on life.

You would ask whether he finds time for recreation with such a busy schedule.

Well, he enjoys travelling and playing tennis over the weekends and also fancies trying different types of delicacies when he’s not hanging out with Akon that is.

And ooh, his motto is work hard and play harder.

Swagger Cop Aims at Top Music Spot in Kenya

After a successful release and launch of his new single “Me and You”at club Tribeka few days ago, Massiger, also known as the Swagger Cop, has his sight set on being the next big thing, but like any other venture, he opens up his challenging journey from responsibilities of law enforcement, and as a law abiding cop- to more demanding musical activities.

One might wonder how he manages to co-ordinate himself in managing the two endeavors, owing to the fact that they are both demanding in one way or the other, but according to him the answer is simple, “discipline and big prayer” as he hastens to add, “there can never be success without discipline and prayer” which he says has been key in enhancing his relationship with his superiors and colleagues.

Apart from finances, he singles out his major challenge, which is to be present to attend to his professional duties when they coincide with a musical event he is supposed to appear, he remembers missing on an interview in one local radio station because of his tight professional responsibilities, But nevertheless, he attributes his breakthrough to his supportive boss who understands his situation and has always been willing to assist whenever he approaches them for a favor or support but once again, insists on depth of his prayers, a fact that has made him overcome numerous hurdles. As he continues to maneuver in the challenging Kenyan musical industry, he hopes to one day find a manager to run things on his behalf as heads to the next level.

Kenyan Entrepreneur Tells CNN ‘African Start-Up’ About A Business Solution to Combat Carjacking

Every day a number of carjacking cases are reported in Nairobi, but one entrepreneur is determined to provide a solution to stop the crime.

This week, CNN International’s ‘African Start-Up’ profiles Kelvin Macharia Kuria, founder of Sunrise Tracking- a Kenyan company specialising in security solutions. According to Macharia, the reason he decided to venture into the security business is because one of his relatives fell victim of a carjacking. “…It was unfortunate we were not able to recover the vehicle. And I thought I could come up with a way to track the vehicle (where) once they’re stolen it’s easy to recover them,”

Macharia told CNN.

Macharia’s company designs security systems like GPS and CCTV systems and then installs them into his client’s cars. He has eight full time employees. “Anytime we install a tracking system in a vehicle, we are able to track it using our fleet management system. Also the client has access to his or her own account to see how the vehicle is moving, from what point to the next, to get reports from where the vehicle has been moving from,” he explains.

One innovation that Macharia has added into his system is the ability to disable a car’s engine by text message. “We immobilize reported vehicles using an SMS and send an alert to the owner whenever it happens,” he told CNN.

Despite challenges, he remains optimistic and says Sunrise Tracking’s immediate plan is to diversify and try to expel insecurities

Sophia Wanuna Hangs Out With Lucky Dube’s Daughter (Photos)

They say that the apple does not fall far from the tree and as for Nkulee Dube this old saying rings a hundred percent true.

Because when it comes to talent, Nkulee has definitely gotten her talent from her father. What is even better is the fact that she has managed to rise above her father’s shadow and make a name for herself; it cannot be easy growing as an artiste when people are constantly comparing you to your legendary father.

The dread-locked beauty is currently in the 254 and is set to thrill fans in what is slated to be the biggest concert this year. Before her performance, Sophia Wanuna hosted the reggae artiste in her show ‘The Morning Express’ on KTN.

Kenyan Artists, Kindly, Don’t Be Like Diamond And Ali Kiba

We all love our country. We all want the best for our country. Except for a few egocentric and self-centred individuals, everybody wants the best for Kenya. I am among the everybody. This is why I am offering this advice to our esteemed artists. Celebrities to be precise.

Kenya is so full of talent. From music to sports, Kenya is so blessed. This is why we have great musicians in Kenya. This is why our athletes are breaking and setting new worlds every time they travel out of the country to represent us. Our footballers too will someday albeit the likes of Wanyama and Oliech doing good abroad.

But mine is a message, a simple message to our celebrities. Just like three stones need each other to support a pot, so you do.

Let me give you a story. I am not good at story telling but on this, I normally become the best. Once upon a time, not long ago, there was a certain country. The country was so celebrated because of its heritage.

It had great people; from leaders to footballers, the country reigned. Democratically, the country was regarded as the best in that region.

diamond-1

However, it’s strength lied in music. My son, the country had great talent in the music industry. Its musicians sang with passion. They entertained with zeal. They captured the attention of the world with their great lyrics.

Of importance was these pair of musicians. One was holder than the other in the industry. He still ruled the roost. He did great music. His younger counterpart rose with massive fame. His songs were touching, especially from the way he sang with passion.

Ladies fell in and out of his empire with easy. He was captivating. Scintillating. Appealing. To be precise, he took fans into captivity with his lyrics.

He gained international fame quickly. He rose through the murky waters of music to become a celebrated artist. He won awards with ease. He was nominated in almost every award that existed. He travelled far and wide to entertain and to make new friends and fans.

kiba

His fellow musician too was doing well domestically. His empire had expanded.

One appalling thing was that the two singers could not be cooked in the same pot. Why? Nobody knows. How the beef beefed up they themselves did not know.

Was it out of fame? Was it the fans? Was it their different lifestyles? Their different styles? We don’t know to date.

They had done collabos with almost every artist they came across, but not between themselves. Why not themselves? HATRED. It was escalating. It was getting worse. Something had to be done.

A local radio station in their country had to intervene. It called the younger artist for an interview. He was asked tough questions. He was required to explain why he could not work with his fellow hit maker.

He could not explain. He murmured. He remained silent. He felt shame trickle down his fame. It was shameful. His final words were,”I will work with him if he is ready”. He had tried to safe his face. That was the much he could do. He was seen as the proud one. He was considered a villain.

Diamond and Ali Kiba are the most revered artists in Tanzania. Have you ever imagined how a collabo between the two will sound? Why have they denied fans all over the world what they so crave?

kiba_diamond.gif

Back to Kenya, our celbrity artists should learn. I am waiting to hear something from Octopizzo and Khaligraph Jones or Rabbit and Octopizzo. I am dying for the day when the three rappers will come together and give us something good.

prezzo.gif

Wyre and Nonini have shown the way. So is Madtraxx and Mejja.

When will Jaguar team up with Prezzo to move even one centimetre closer to sing for their City, their town? To sing for Nairobi, Mombasa or Kisumu. When will they stop ‘Vuukaring’ borders to do colabos abroad and do something home-made?

jaguar_0.gif

These are the moments we are dying for. Willy Paul should team up with Bahati. So should Size 8 and Gloria Muliro.

Diamond and Ali Kiba are not good examples. So we should not follow them.

Attention Party People!Nanyuki is the Place to Watch Out For This Weekend and this is Why #TwendeGame

The weekend is here party people! I know the pockets might be a little empty but what gives? We still have life to celebrate about right? And what better way to celebrate life than to head down to Nanyuki for a rugby tournament and support the #TwendeGame initiative.

Great people, great scenery and equally great ambience is what the event promises. Plus when you think about the massive after party Tusker is throwing down, then this one must be a must attend. To be held at the iconic Nanyuki sports club, it will be nothing but pure fun and excitement. I’m talking the likes of DJ Hassan, Joe Mfalme, Protégé, Andy and the experienced G money mixing some of the greatest hits as you sip away to a cold tusker.

And that’s not even the fun part. You can participate in the #JengaGame experience as every Tusker has a code underneath the crown. Fans are encouraged to send their team’s code and the code underneath the crown to 21450. For example the code for mean machine is MMC. Assuming you find xxx underneath your crown, send the text as MMCXXX to 21450. Tusker will contribute ksh 2 to the team for every text sent. Texts cost Ksh 1.

Corazon Kwamboka Denies Being A Gold Digger

Gold digger is slang for a greedy person (stereotypically a woman) who only dates (and subsequently marries) wealthy partners with the intention of exploiting said wealth. The term is usually pejorative.

This is Wikipedia’s definition of gold digger.

Kenyan socialites are known for their lavish lifestyles, genuine knock-off designer bags, trips to exotic places, expensive drinks and flashy parties in the most exclusive clubs. What’s strange, 99.9999999% of these women do not have jobs in multinational corporates or even a job at all.

They are just ‘boss-ladies’ who run some imaginary companies and drop big titles to impress their followers on social media. This ‘businesses’ of theirs do not have an office or even an URL to call their own.

This often begs the question.Where do they get this money to fund a life of self-satisfaction and yet they do not work and do not come from a rich family? We all know that these Instagram photos and twerk videos do not pay they bills, they entertain yes,but they do not pay the bills. This question has been asked so many times that many have concluded that all of them are gold diggers.

So is Corazon Kwamboka a digger of the gold?

Former Camp Mulla Songbird Lady Karun Meets US Sensational RnB Singer Miguel (Photos)

Talk of music taking people places then lady Karun of the split group Camp Mulla will tell you all as she met with one of America’s finest Rnb/soul singer Miguel.

Lady Karun has all the reasons to smile big after she met one of the industry’s greatest star Miguel; it is such a great achievement to see musicians from Kenya freely mingling with such kind of international celebrities. How well would Lady Karun remember the one in a life time opportunity other than commemorating it with a picture?

Miguel is a multiple awards winner and his single mega hit Adorn won him the prestigious Grammy Awards in 2013 for Best R&B Song of the year. He has also won BET Awards plus he has been nominated to many other high-status awards. So the question we always ask; is there a collaboration brewing up between the pair?

Hope we get to see Miguel and Lady Karun work out something as in they are both on top of their game and a collaboration will definitely market Lady Karun well on the international stage.

Huddah’s and Vera’s Unending Beef…. What Caused it?

If there was ever a sensational feud between two sweet little women, then it has to be between the to socialites, Vera Sidika and Huddah, well they have given themselves tags , Vera calls herself Queen Vee the Bossette, while Huddah calls herself Huddah the Boss chic.

The two socialites don’t see eye to eye, they are in constant social media wars, each claiming to be the best in her  own realm, but is it? Is their feud one of those “stay relevant” social media antics?

These socialites have made a life out of this, and they have now turned to tearing each other apart in a vicious battle for supremacy

When it was alleged that Vera Sidika’s bleach job had gone west, Huddah, took to Facebook to troll Vera Sidika, mocking her for trying to look different. Huddah as a matter of fact wanted to fight Vera physically, citing that she had had enough of endless social media wars and was in for a “butt-beating”

while its clear that Vera Sidika reaps more money that Huddah from the socialite business, we cannot dismiss Huddah as nondescript socialite, she has a lot going on for herself, a fashion line being one.

Many people agree that Huddah is prettier that Vera Sidika, which might be true by the way, but who takes home the crown as the Queen of socialites Kenya?

who has the bragging rights? Huddah or Vera?

NEST Director In Police Custody Over Banned Film

‘The Stories of Our Lives’ is creating controversy each day in Kenya. After being banned by the Kenya Film Classification Board on what was seen as intentions to promote homosexuality in Kenya, the controversial film has landed the Nest director in trouble.

George Gachara, the Nest director landed himself in trouble after it was discovered that Nest continued to share and promote ‘The Stories of Our Lives’ on social media.

In the letter banning the film, KFCB had stated clearly that the film was controversial and was touching on a controversial sensitive issue in Kenya and needed not to be aired.

However, Mr. Gachara was later released on bond. In his biography, Gachara describes himself as a youth worker, an author, a designer of learning programs and a speaker. I am also a co-director at The Nest, a Global Fellow of the International Youth Foundation and the recipient of International Development Committee’s Outstanding Leadership Award (2011).

So Vera Sidika Flies Business Class But What Exactly is Her Job?

Vera Sidika no doubt lives her life on the fast lane; her extravagance can best be compared to filthy billionaires who have no clue of how to spend their cash.

When Vera Sidika flew to the gulf nation of United Arab Emirates or to be more specific Dubai; images of luxurious lavish hotels where she spent her time started flocking the social media. Everybody or rather most people I would bet envied Vera’s experience as sure no one wants to live a rusty hustling life. Then there was the part where Vera was travelling back home and just a usual she upload photos of her in the plane.

One does not need an extra pair of glasses to tell that she was flying business class as the images already tells it all. Flying in itself is damn expensive leave alone flying the exquisite business class; the royal treatment that is offered in business class when flying commercial planes is almost equivalent to one in private jets only that with private jets one get to set his/her own flying schedule.

Well that aside, one question that still lingering in many people’s mind is how Vera finances her expensive trips and posh life. I would say she sets the trend for other “cheap” socialites to follow as for sure she is living in the seventh heaven already; but is it her money or whose many is it? Every now and then one gets to hear Vera flying to various destinations and spending in eight star hotels but one NEVER gets to hear she is doing this or that job. If being a socialite pays that much, perhaps KRA should start taxing all the socialites as for sure the revenue earned can increase the country’s GDP and who knows, maybe even the living conditions can improve as well, or what do you think?

Forget Tujuane Show On NTV, Here Is Tuwachane Show On KTN

If you hang around the corridors of social media, you are bound to find something interesting lurking there .

And today on YouTube I came across a clip that made my otherwise dull and tiresome morning.
It was a clip from a show on KTN called ‘Jameni’ and from what I gather from the few clips available, this is a parody show. I watched an episode where ‘Raila’ opened up about his hot caning in Kwale to ‘Jeff Koinange’. I was however unimpressed by this clip. But the next one I watched was a riot. It was an episode called ‘Tuwachane ’ and a girl called Shanikwa and Jonte were breaking up.

The clip was poking fun at Tujuane which we know hooks people up ,but ‘Tuwachane’ centers around couples breaking up and the drama that goes down during a break up.The host is Esta Wa John who is very village like unlike Yvonne and Malonza who are refined.

Check it out below:

Jeff Koinange Joins Mohammed Ali in Investigative Journalism and You’ll be Shocked by What He Recently Unveiled

Mohammed Ali was the king of investigative journalism until Maina Kageni came along and switched up things with his hard hitting pieces. It seems now we have a new entrant in this field and it’s none other than the king of TV himself; Jeff Koinange.

He recently put on his magnetic glasses and activated his investigative gear embarking on a prowl to find out why the high and mighty in Kenya was heading to Mt. Kenya. What was the mystery behind this place he embarked to find out? Well, he got his answer alright and it was in the form of a specific property on sale; Mt. Kenya view.

Yes, PRC was at it again with property deals that were just irresistible. Overlooking the scenic Mt. Kenya, it is land located in Nanyuki right adjacent Mt. Kenya safari club, Ol-Pejeta conservancy and British training camp. Not only that, it is set in between Kenya’s fastest growing towns. And guess how much the land is going for?

Only 249,000 for an eighth and 449,000 for a quarter acre and you get to wake up every morning to chirping birds and amazing picturesque surroundings; I mean where else can you get such prices on such prime land.

His name is George Gachara and was arrested for supposedly violating Chapter 222 of the 2010 Film and Stage Plays Act.

The cap reads that “Every application for a filming license shall be made to the licensing officer in writing and shall be accompanied by a full description of the scenes in, and the full text of the spoken parts (if any) of, the entire film which is to be made, notwithstanding that part of the film is made or to be made outside Kenya.

Provided that the licensing officer may in his discretion in any particular case accept an application notwithstanding that it is not accompanied by such description and text if he has been given such other information as he requires for the determination of the application.”

Those who failed to act in accordance with this would be “liable to a fine not exceeding one hundred thousand shillings or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years or to both such fine and imprisonment.”

This Story Will Definitely Shock You and Change The Way Selfies are Taken in Kenya #GuinnessGetBooked

The weekend is here with us; time to relax and unwind. For majority of us, we’ll probably hit the bar tonight for a tipple and catch up with friends.

After the fun kicks in, you’ll also want to take selfies to celebrate the moment. Now what if I told you that it’s possible to win 5000 cash just by doing that? It’s pretty simple. All you have to do is enroll in the Guinness game day selfie where participants’ inbox the Guinness Facebook page a selfie of yourself and stand a chance to win. Whether you’re watching the game or standing in front of the Guinness branding at one of the in bar promos over the weekend, you’re likely to win.

While at it, you can also participate in another game, guess the goal time. Guess the Goal is a competition the Guinness Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/guinnesskenya) and on Guinness mobi (http://gvip.co.ke). They are with going to the relevant‘ Guess the Goal Time’ timeline image and article on Guinness Mobi, guess the minute in which the opening goal of the specified English football match will be scored. The prediction must be made by leaving the number of the minute in which they think the opening goal will be scored. Predictions must be submitted an hour prior to the kick-off time of the relevant match to be considered.

With those kind of offers to consider from, then it’ll only be fair if you made Guinness the drink of your choice tonight.

Nameless Concludes His Europe Trip But Not Before Visiting the Iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris (Photos)

Paris the city of love had so much to offer Butterfly hit maker Nameless; not only was it the last city he concluded his Europe trip on but it is also the city where he got to enjoy himself as he bid goodbye to continental Europe.

A visit to French capital Paris will NOT go down the memory lane without a visit to the iconic Eiffel tower; it is like to Mombasa and never get to see the Indian Ocean. Nameless knew that fact well and thus he opted to prove to you all that he was in Paris as well.

The singer has just concluded his four nation trip in Europe which saw him rock revelers in Stockholm Sweden, Oslo Finland, Helsinki Finland and Paris France. Check out some photos from his trip down here:

Jamaican Superstar Gets In Trouble with Jamaicans for Defying Ebola Warnings and Promising To Come To Kenya

Since the Ebola outbreak, Africa has been shunned like a leper, even more than usual .

And what’s worse, since the outbreak I’ve heard some of the most ignorant comments about Africa such as ‘Do not go to Africa Nicki Minaj, there is Ebola’.

b08lq.jpg

Jokes have been made also about the Ebola outbreak but no one in Africa is feeling them because they are downright nasty. Anyhow, despite the Ebola scare that is ‘all over Africa’, Jamaican superstar F

reddie McGregor will still be performing in Kenya on November 29 as agreed.

freddie.jpg

He says that skipping his show due to fear would be unethical, and anyway he would not be visiting areas affected by Ebola during his African visit.

“If you sign a contract, you must be man enough to live up to it, unless it’s an act of God or sickness, honor and respect the promoter. They are taking a chance putting their money out there. They treat you like kings and queens,” he said. This is according to The Jamaican Observer

Many Jamaicans are however not buying this ‘honor the promoter card’ and here are some comments regarding his Kenyan Tour with some even warning him against returning to Jamaica after Visiting Kenya:

Bill -Him nuh have no reasoning ability ..dunce, lol. I hope when him come back they quarantine him for a month…money n trying to get back stardom is his reason but not the interest of the country well bein..smh…

Lori Butanone -I hope he never get the chance to leave Africa. Can you imagine Jamaica having to deal with ebola? Everybody gonna die, look at chik v. At least there’s hope with chik v.

Celia McKoy -and even doctor there is the us getting it point is nowhere is safe, the man who bring it to the us say him never had it people move around east africa west africa it safer not to go that side of the world full stop

Miss Angie Bill : Yu kno yu have people that really isn’t taking this thing seriously. We will have nightmare unbelief with that virus if a cure is not found quickly. So bro freddie a soh it guh, $$$ ova human well being? Smh!!!!

Meredith: Money, money, money!!! How can you compare ChickV to Ebola????

Yadda Bhudey : and it reach US too which is on yet another continent. If they ever let this man just walk through immigration without quarantine and even a freakin’ distant cousin of a distant cousin of mine get sick then the GOJ will know how water walk go a pumkin belly and that’s a promise.

So all here talking can continue talking. He is free to go but when he comes back he is not free to enter and both him and the GOJ are liable to murder charges if they let him come back and contaminate the place. Let me repeat, MURDER CHARGE! Tek this mek joke

Freddie McGregor, you are WILLING to put the lives of Jamaicans at risk for MONEY?! I am sure that another date can be arranged with the promoter. Ebola is NO comparison to Chikungunya.

Nonini Imports a Top Producer from USA to Up his Game

To stay relevant over time in the world of dynamic music industry; artistes have been forced to go to extreme measures and the godfather of Genge too has joined that bandwagon.

In an interview with Homeboyz radio, Nonini disclosed that he sought the services of American producer BYK in his new song with love child Wyre. Mgenge true revealed that the move was to fit in the world as the sounds were changing; he however stressed that he was retaining his veteran producers but only needed a young blood to keep up with the changing tide.

Nonini further pulled out another shocking surprise when he said that Kenyan fans were not ready for love song. So most of you probably think Nigerian songs are here to kill Kenyan music, right? Wrong, Nonini’s theory will smother your notion. “When you drop coins they make a lot of noise but when you drop notes, Kenyan shillings they don’t make noise.” Nonini uttered as he tried to explain why Kenyan music is here to stay.

I know probably you do not comprehend what Nonini meant but it is simple; the value of a note is bigger than a coin in most of the world’s currencies yet coins make the most noise. When you making change stay humble like a note and let the coins make the noise; Nigerian songs might be good for now but will they last? Check the video interview below:

Among These 9 Faces, 2 Will Face Sudden Death on Sunday and This Why You Need to Save Sabina

Tensions are high in Big Brother Africa Hotshots as the nine housemates who have nominated for eviction this coming Sunday are holding tight on the rope while trying to do all they can to remain in the game.

The looming Sunday eviction has send cold chills down the spine of the nine nominated housemates as it is now obvious that two of them will be leaving the house. The nine nominees: Esther and Ellah (both from Uganda), Frankie (Rwanda), JJ (Zimbabwe), Laveda (Tanzania), Lilian and Tayo (both from Nigeria), Sabina (Kenya) and Permithias (Namibia) will know their fate this coming Sunday as voters from across the continent get to decide who goes home and who gets to stay.

You can vote to save the seven contestants as of out of the nine nominees, two with the least votes will salvage whatever stuff they had in the house and broad the plane back home. So my appeal to Kenyan is simply vote with vigor to save Sabina.

Kenyan Celebrities Should Wear Pink Tomorrow and This is Why

I’m a terrible story teller but I’m going to attempt telling this one. Not because it’s one of the best stories ever told; trust me there are better ranking stories out there. But there is just something about this story that is partly educative and partly entertaining. It revolves around Kenyan celebrities wearing pink tomorrow and how it will make a great impact in society.

The story emanates from a young Nairobian lady who last year lost all her beautiful hair. We all know what hair means to a woman specifically Kenyan women. Have you seen all the horse hair making rounds in the CBD? But I digress.

To cover up for her sad loss, she decided to rock a behemoth PINK weave. Can you imagine walking around town in a pink weave; creepy right? Not exactly the best experience to go through as a woman I must say. It ended up making her feel depressed and at some point she wanted to hide from herself and the world. Fortunately her hair finally grew back and she regained her confidence.

She was a victim of cancer and she wore not to sit and watch any other woman go through the same ordeal. She vowed to make a difference which has on me and now I want to impact the same on you. This is what she has to say;

This being breast cancer month, I’d be amiss if I didn’t remind you that you are your first line of defence. It only takes a few minutes to do your breast self-exam, do it once a month and remind your girlfriends to do the same.  There’s no time like the present. Early detection is critical for treating and conquering breast cancer. It is not a death sentence; it is a journey that can be overcome. I am living testament.

This Friday and every Friday in October, wear something pink, and send your selfie to #PinkFriday254 on social media.  Take a breast self-exam, eat a little healthier, talk a walk or do some exercise, visit and encourage someone going through cancer. Thank God for your health. I do every day.

#HopeFightWin
