As if terrorists and asinine gangs of women-stripping malefactors haven’t been making our lives dangerous enough,Babu Owino’s Nairobi University gang has now decided to further terrorize us. And plunge the City to even more upheaval come tomorrow. All in the name of “protests”.

Babu Owino is not new to street cataclysms. And true to fashion,He has promised major street turmoil tomorrow in what he describes as a major onslaught against the UoN Administrator. In a rather lengthy and harebrained Facebook post,Babu Owino likens any student loyal to the UoN Admin as an agent of SATAN who deserves unbridled punishment in the hottest part of hell.

He goes on to liken his cause as a cause endorsed by God (Haha) and he is not alone in the rants. His clique of equally-belligerent Student ‘leaders’ back him up on his profound statements,posting threats and valorous statements of their own on their Facebook Timelines. The most vocal one is one Ndege Serikal who DECLARES that tomorrow is the day that Ole Lenku is kicked from office. Not to be spared is the IG David Kimaiyo and a host of other incompetent Powerful Heads.

Ndege Serikal,a confidant and colleague of Babu Owino proceeds to warn City Residents to avoid “The Nairobi CBD,Uhuru Highway,Waiyaki Way and Westlands Road” advising commuters to actually STAY AT HOME.

Sexual violence against women has escalated at a scary rate in Kenya at recent times and producer Tedd Josiah feels that the media is partly to blame for this.

He is of the opinion that the media depicts women as sexual objects, tits and ass and in the process desensitizes men form valuing them.

Why no one is blaming the media for the wonderful part they’ve played by desensitising us men from thinking women are anything more than tits & ass to shake for us, dress provocatively and turn men on….?

A look at IPSOS survey for October this year will stun you, the TV stations that spend a colossal amount of cash to acquire media industry’s heavyweights have nothing to show in terms improvement in their rank.

With all the news anchors that departed Citizen TV for greener pastures at K24, the station only managed a sixth spot on ISPOS list of top ten stations in the country. On the other hand, Citizen TV still continues to dominate the screens of most homes in the country, the station has consistently maintained the top position for a while now.

KTN and NTV have been locked in a vicious battle for the second spot for some time now but it seems KTN gained a very slight advantage over NTV. There is no big difference on the audience size of these two TV stations, if the survey was to be done again, it won’t be a surprise to see NTV overtaking KTN.

KBC is ranked 4^th which I have to admit is a very good position for the national broadcaster, it has even performed better than QTV, K24 and Kiss TV which are ranked 5^th,6^th and 8^7h respectively. Because numbers don’t lie, I can say without fear of favor Citizen TV is the best television station in the country.

It is not throw back Thursday but whenever we get the early days of celebrities as young men and women, our interest revives because comparing them with those days leaves you wondering how things change. Change is for sure inevitable.

Radio Citizen’s football commentator Geoffrey Mwamburi rolled back the years with a photo that not only looked humorous but also hilarious.

His high school days were not only funny but also saw him spent it a hilarious way.

Yesterday, another clip of a woman who was stripped and sexually assaulted in a matatu by unruly perverted touts emerged and has caused even massive outrage. The public is now raging with anger and wrath for the heinous acts.

As if that was not enough, Citizen TV last evening aired a story of a three-year old child who was repeatedly raped by her uncles after her mother separated with her father. The heinous act occurred in Mathioya and has since caused uproar in th public domain.

These and many others are the reasons Citizen TV’s Kubamba host DJ Moz has taken issue with the manner in which women are treated within our boundaries.

The Dj is disgusted by the fact that Kenyan men have turned into dogs and are now preying on women at will,

DJ Moz has started 16 good days of activism against this heinous acts under the hash tag #16daysofactivism to champion for the rights and safety of women.

She works with the Inua Dada foundation, an organization which aims at preserving the dignity of omen through fighting FGM, protecting them against gender-violence, assault and other injustices subjected on women. They also provide sanitary towels for needy girls.

Now Janet has joined the global movement and #OrangeUrNeighbourhood to raise awareness about violence against women and children.This awareness will be raised through pictures of people wearing orange and stretching their arm in front of you.Since gender violence is a serious issue,the activists are encouraged not to smile.

And her fiancé has joined her in the  #OrangeUrHood campaign for the #16DaysOfActivism.

The celebrated author and preacher who died in a plane crash weeks after visiting Kenya and appearing on national TV stations, will be celebrated in a requiem mass to be held on Wednesday, next week.

Munroe, his wife Ruth and seven others perished in a plane crash in Bahmas, days after he had publicly declared on Jeff Koinange Live that he was ready to die because he felt he had accomplished what the Lord has sent him to do on earth.

However, as the requiem mass is expected on Wednesday, it is now evident that the public will not be able to view the bodies of Munroe and his wife, in what is said to be out of respect for their family.

His chidren and other family members agreed that the bodies of the two should not viewed by the public because of reasons known to themselves.

Being an influential figure on American TV, Rachel is the best vehicle to ferry the plight of Kenyan women to the American press.

Just when we thought this madness was over…And that we had finally aired our voices and stood with the Women in the face of public shaming and stripping,ANOTHER VIDEO HAPPENED! One that totally wiped away EVERYTHING We had seen or watched or heard or said or done. A video that changed the game. Totally.

If You haven’t watched the supposed grisly “Githurai 45” Bus video,In which a woman can be seen sprawled across the Bus seats,legs asunder,with a bunch of savages hovering over her,SEXUALLY MOLESTING her and inserting their filthy fingers in her…And at some point,one of the rogues can be heard saying,”Leta Chupa….’ ostensibly,to shove it up her vaginal opening,please DO NOT watch it. Its gross. Real gross.

In the video,the woman’s screams as as clear as daylight…she can be heard attempting to reason with them,attempting to calm them and attempting to act genial. All that,however,bears NO fruit as these scoundrels go ahead and,once again,forcibly pull her legs apart,and,with NO underwear on,proceed to,once again,fondle her,tease her private parts,rough her up,rub her allover,shove their fingers in her and attempt to pull her vaginal lips apart.

That video is BEYOND shocking. It is a whole NEW thing. Its hell and Hitler in one cave. You could throw up real hard after watching it. Or have a seizure. Or worse….

When  this whole madness started,We blamed it on “indecent dressing”. We,made a huge furore about “indecent dressing” and after starting Social Media hashtags and rallying points,We proceeded to shut the City down in a demo that took almost all day. We even presented our plights to the amenable Inspector General Of Police. And,Um,the Chief Justice too? Yes,If I remember right.

We also crashed almost all TV stations,talking and talking and talking. And after days of heightened Anti-Stripping hurly-burly,we sat back and thought,”We’ve conquered this! We’ve slayed the dragon! Time to relax now…The message has been rammed home.”

We were WRONG! Absolutely WRONG! It turns out,We did NOTHING.

The fight against savages and imbeciles and morons needs more than just a hashtag. Or a trending Topic. Or a thigh-baring demo. Its OFFICIAL,Women are NOT being stripped for their manner of dressing. But because they simply are WOMEN! Flat out. The very virtue of a Woman being a Woman is enough to land her in some serious sexual trouble…Doesn’t matter how she’s dressed.

She could be wearing a Maxi dress and still fall prey to this band of soulless dogs. She could be 14 Years old and still be raided and violated and attacked! No age is safe. No dress is safe. No character in a woman is safe. Its NO longer about how shes dressed,Its now about WHO she is. And who is she?? She is a Woman! GREAT! Perfect target of attacks and sexual molestations.

And in light of these very disturbing developments,where Women are surrounded by gangs and gangs of sex-starved thugs,Women MUST FEEL SAFE. And be safe.

And NO,the Police will Not secure the Women. Neither will their Men. Women MUST secure themselves. Individually. Kenya is quickly sliding the South Africa way…where rape and general violence against Women is legendary.

Instead of hash-tags and protests and taglines and Twitter and Facebook Groups,Women MUST find a new avenue for safety. And that avenue is TASERS.

What is a Taser?? Well……

A Taser is an electroshock weapon. It fires two small dart-like electrodes to deliver electrical current to disrupt voluntary control of muscles causing “neuromuscular incapacitation” in a criminal. Someone struck by a Taser experiences stimulation of his or her sensory nerves and motor nerves, resulting in strong involuntary muscle contractions. When someone uses a Taser on You,Your body experiences a sharp electrical shock. You immediately fall to the ground,wincing and twitching,after which Your victim can either combat You or flee from You. Tasers totally render a victim powerless and effective…Making them numb and throwing them to the ground,screaming in pain.

Tasers were introduced as non-lethal weapons to be used by police to subdue fleeing, belligerent, or potentially dangerous people, who would have otherwise been subjected to more lethal weapons such as a firearm. A 2009 Police Executive Research Forum study said that officer injuries drop by 76% when a Taser is used.

I am of the opinion that Tasers Must be introduced in Kenya. For Women ONLY. And also of the Opinion that Kenyan Women NEED Tasers. Kenyan Women must walk around with Tasers and defend themselves with these very important gadgets.

However,It may get tricky when we get to the manner of implementation. Who deserves them?? Which Woman is sane enough to carry a Taser around?? How do we ensure that Women DO NOT abuse their Tasers?? How do we ensure that Tasres will and MUST ONLY be used in street-dangerous instances?? And not a domestic violence weapon??

Those are the tricky questions for now. But surely and truly,there already are Kenyans walking freely with these gadgets in this Country. All Women,like in the Anti-Rape devices fashioned for South African women,Must be equipped with Tasers. And taught how to not only handle them but also use them correctly and efficiently.

Any MAN caught handling,using or possessing a Taser MUST be charged in a Court of Law. And any Woman who misuses her Taser,obviously,must face the full force of the Law and be hauled to jail for decades and decades.

I am NOT sure Tasers will reduce instances of sexual molestation in the streets more than they will increase cases of general insecurity.

I could be wrong on this article. And I appreciate any correction on my train of thought. And welcome any challenge to my romance with the Taser gadget.

Well,In America,Tasers are legal and freely available to the public in 47 states! And in Czech Republic,Tasers are NOT only legal but vulnerable groups like pensioners and women are encouraged by the police to carry them for self-defense.

Well,Its about time we Kenyan OWNED Tasers,too.

Angeline Wanjeri is known as the perky ever-smiling host on Kiss TV. Angeline was in rare form today after she saw a video of a woman getting brutally sexually assaulted by a gang of shameless bottom-feeding  scum in a matatu.

This video has filled me with such anger and hate towards the African Man. If i feel this way imagine the millions of women across the world that get to watch this video. The Government of Kenya is very good with talk but as this trend carries on what action is being taken? What is the plan of protecting the next woman from this great injustice? What is happening to the human race? Why are we becoming animals? This is truly sad. Kenya is no longer a country i am proud to call home!!!!

Controversial blogger Robert Alai has once again pocked fun on the qualification of Cabinet Secretary for Interior and Coordination of National Government Mr. Joseph Ole Lenku.

With incidents of insecurity being on the rise in the country, Kenyans can only expect the most professional guy to hold the powerful security docket, but isn’t that the case? Well, Robert Alai and many others who were protesting on Harambee Avenue yesterday think otherwise.

Alai has once again revealed Ole Lenku’s CV to the public, the first time he did so was after the West Gate terror attack, this time round, it’s after the Mandera bus massacre. The blogger has been trying to warn the country the man in charge of their security is not qualified for that job; his qualifications are better suited for another job.

If that CV truly belongs to Ole Lenku (Robert Alai however controversial he has been, he rarely tells lies, his sources have proved to be very reliable most of the time), then Kenyans have a big reason to worry. Isn’t it just funny how a man with hospitality qualification is the head of security in the country?

Anyway Ole Lenku is not only qualified in hospitality industry alone, according to his profile on Wikipedia; he obtained a certificate in project management from Greece and a certificate in corporate governance (company directorship), among many other workshops and conferences on corporate governance, public and security management. It’s so unfortunate the conference on security he attended never showed up on his CV otherwise Alai wouldn’t have aired his dirty linen in public.

The flamboyant senator had lost his twitter handle to hackers last week and quickly took to his facebook page to alert his followers to ignore any tweets that tickled down.

Sonko also promised to do his best to recover his account, something that he has managed to do.

He has revealed through the same handle that he was able to reclaim his account from Anonymous, a group that is notorious in hacking celebrity accounts in Kenya.

Sonko is not the first victim of this heinous act. Deputy President William Ruto also faced the animalistic acts of the hackers sometimes back.

Other celebrities to face the brutality of the hackers is Willy Paul and Mzazi Willy M Tuva.

New evidence emerging from the shocking incident where a house help was captured on camera torturing a toddler suggests the scene was enhanced by video manipulations software.

Uganda’s investigative blog the BigEye.ug unearthed evidence suggesting the video is exaggerated, it acknowledges the exact event happened but suggests many of the effects were enhanced by video editing software so as to cause the required sensational reaction from the audience.

The blog opened Pandora ’s Box when it poked hole in the incident raising questions to challenge the authenticity of the CCTV footage; whereas most of us may not be familiar with video editing software, the Ugandan blog suggest the slaps that the nanny was seen cementing on the baby’s face were enhanced. It suggests there was a huge disparity between the impact of the slap and the sound produced thereafter, a likely indication of video manipulation.

Another interesting thing that the investigative blog noted, was the change of the baby’s feeding plate; the blog indicates the maid was seen using an orange plate to feed the baby then all over sudden the plate quickly changes to cream. The changes can only be attributed to editing of the video where unwanted parts/scenes were cut.

It’s very unfortunate that the video was pulled down by YouTube for depicting violence on a minor otherwise I would have embedded it so that you could analyze it to determine for yourselves whether the claims by the Ugandan blog are true or just “unnecessary noise”. The bottom line of the matter, whatever the truth is, violence against children and women should not be tolerated at all.

If you are an ardent user of social Media and like your daily dose of business dailies you have come across Range Rover’s Chinese knock-off known as the Land Wind X7. Just like all Chinese fake  products, this car has an uncanny,blatant resemblance to the original.

What’s worse the knock-off goes for a lot less than the Range Rover Evoque, 3.56 Million Kshs  to be exact.According to Autocar,Land Rover the makers of the Range Rover Evoque are not too pleased about this move by China and had this to say :

Today, again, we saw another incident of a woman being stripped, laid down and facing the beastly acts of matatu touts in a matatu seats. Oh God! It was horrible. It is still hitting my mind. It was horrendous. I pity her.

But today, one Kenyan, a lady to be precise, has come up with a very insightful article that looks at the root cause of all these sins in our republic.

 For those who use public transport you may have noted that children are required to stand as adults sit in comfort fondling their cell phones. This includes the very people who are with the children. You will often find them conversing with friends unconcerned whether the child they are with is comfortable or not. It is also common to see a parent taking a kindergarten child to the bus stop at 5.45am in the morning to take a bus to school. What kind of society are we when we treat the weakest member of our society in this manner? How have we developed this unconcern for the others even for our own children? Let me submit that from what I see, I adjudge we are one of the cruelest human beings in the history of time.

It does not at all surprise me that adult young men in Nairobi can audaciously strip a woman right in town, whatever reason they may have for doing that. Having grown up being disregarded, they have over time come to learn not to take the other as a being with certain inalienable rights. If you observe these young men at the bus stations of Nairobi, you will discover that the cruelty they mete towards one another is unimaginable. Therefore, in our attempt to understand what triggered them to strip women, we must not be shallow to imagine that their violence is reserved for women. They spare no one. At Machakos country bus station, they act with unfathomable impunity. From this backdrop, it is irresponsible for us to pass swift judgments to the effect that they should be arrested. If we decide to arrest criminals in Kenya, believe me you, we will arrest half of the Kenyans. Be it the ministers of religion who suck their congregation’s blood, the lawyer who squanders a client’s compensation package after a disabling accident or a doctor who will recommend unnecessary tests to a patient to get an extra coin.

There is an astonishing resemblance between the strippers and the women who are victims. Both have a form of hatred towards themselves and both are making a statement to society albeit in different ways. Their statement to society could simply be summarised as a cry for attention. Please I am here, take note of my needs. For a long time, we have been silent because unknown to the strippers and their victims, we have no solutions to any of their problem the cardinal being their low self esteem. From childhood , we have condemned them through a punishing regime of schooling with a false promise that we will provide them with all they need if only they can trust and obey our word. Through observation and experience, they have at last discovered that we are pathological liars for we have no capacity to provide even a fraction of their needs. They have discovered they are on their own.

They, therefore, seek attention by resorting to unwarranted violence towards the other and surprisingly against themselves as manifested in different ways. It is not uncommon to get a lady who has bored holes on the entire lobe of her ears, nose and even some private areas. The same lady may subject her hair to all manner of violence after every two days – burning, twisting and immersing it in a variety of chemical. As if that is not enough, she forces her legs into some contraptions in the name of shoes which provide for hilarity if one were to watch the discomfort they clearly subject the wearer into. On the same vein, it is common to get young men who have struggled to make five hundred shillings in a day or two subject themselves to injurious loud nocturnal music, drugs and poisonous alcohol instead of buying food or essential human provisions. In brief, the violence we witness is not limited to assault on women. It has victims in the name of children, the disabled, the old, women and men themselves. However, young men form the largest group which perpetrates the violence. This is not accidental as they are the strongest physically.

The stripping has not just occurred. It has been an organic process developing though we have largely ignored it perhaps because it has lacked the physical violence. It has over time been registered in the form of giggles, which are then laced with insults. It is now at the stage of giggles, insults and stripping. The next phase will definitely be giggles, insults, stripping and then open air raping and finally murder. We already see some isolated incidents of this happening when a woman or girl is raped and murdered.  Surely, this will come to pass if there is no humanising cultural revolution coming soon.

Suppose the young underemployed or unemployed men in the matatu terminus had jobs which keep them occupied throughout the day, will they have time to giggle, insult and strip women? Suppose the women who were stripped had office jobs which have a formal dress code, which afford them a car and a home in what we refer to as leafy suburbs, could they have exhibited such self-hatred by exposing half of their breasts and three quarters of their legs on a cold rainy day?

Poverty contributes immensely to the current crisis. To solve the problem of self hatred and low self esteem, demonstrated simultaneously by the Strippers and the Stripped, Kenya has to take a radical turn to re-engineer its populace. Let us have policies which outlaw torture of children in the name of schooling. If children are brought up with love, they will be infected with it and will spread it naturally. The current generation is lost. We may save future generations. The current generation with its violence can only be tamed by the threat of superior state violence manifested in the armed forces particularly the police.”

Harambee Stars captain has allegedly lost a top of the class Range Rover after burglars successfully broke into his compound in England.

Victor Wanyama’s house was broken into by burglars who stole his signature ride and other property, according to Nairobi News who first broke the news, the talented player was not in his house at the time of the incident, the intruders took advantage of Wanyama’s absence to raid his house.

The black Range Rover Evoque XL that was allegedly stolen by burglars is estimated to worth at least Ksh 8 million, the vehicle is the latest Range Rover series on the market. It is also said Wanyama’s TV and other electronics were among the items that were stolen.

Vanessa Chettle has never had any qualms when it comes to her sexuality. She has admitted countless times to all and sundry that she likes both boys and girls, that she is bisexual.

If there is something I learned from the #mydressmychoice protest is that the biggest perpetrators of gender violence are those that are supposed to protect is from violence, the police.

As we marched outside Uhuru Park heading to town there were some police who shouted ‘Hawa ndio wanafaa wavuliwe nguo’.

And as it turns out some police have actually put their words into action. An Administration P0olice was charged in court recently for attempting to strip a minor, a 16 year old to be specific. The pervert and his companions boarded a bus and when they got in one of them tried to put his hand under the minor’s skirt and grope her.

A woman who she was sitting with pushed him a way and told him to leave the girl alone. One of them became really violent so they poured juice on her and threatened to beat her with one of them hitting her across the face.

After one of the men hit her on the face threatened to strip all the women in the bus and kuwapiga ‘miti’ . The woman who is nursing a bump on her face following the incident valiantly told the driver to drive to the nearest police station with the culprits inside.A few of the men tried alighting from the bus but were captured by some touts who out them back in the bus and they were taken to the police station.

One of the suspects who is an AP was arraigned in the Makadara Law Courts. This incident has caught the eye of Martha Miyandazi Nairobi Country Rep who condemned the act and offered her condolences to the victim and victim’s family.

In his usual column on the Daily Nation and which I am so fond of, Larry Madowo painfully pens an emotional article, bashing Kenyans for their hypocrisy when it comes to matters mourning the fallen Kenyans from different tragedies.

Madowo thinks deeply that Kenyans tend to subject the poor to further poverty in their graves as they celebrate the rich, mourn them compassionately and passionately, highlighting their high degrees of hypocrisy and what can be termed as discrimination.

The NTV anchor goes on to highlight how Kenyans have mourned the victims of terrorist and banditry attacks, from Westgate to Mpeketoni to Kapedo and the latest one in Mandera.

Here, Madowo thinks the Westgate victims were mourned with dignity, were high glorified and praised in equal measure, because majority of them were the rich. The rest of the victims in other attacks were not given the attention they deserved. They could be stacked behind police land rovers and be transported like sacks of maize to the nearest mortuaries.

He vividly remembers and narrates the ordeal he saw when Kenyans were brutally murdered in Mpeketoni, and now in Mandera.
