Kenyan Rapper Releases an “Immigrants Anthem” That Has Everyone Bopping Their Heads in USA (Video)

K-Nel the Kenyan Artist & Entrepreneur based in Atlanta USA is a name well known in the industry. From being an Artist, we saw him on Aljazeera TV presenting Surprising Europe documentary to a brand owner of 4 companies, one thing that is unique about this chap is his multiple ways to reinvent himself. He is always into something new and fresh.

Having taken a break from music to focus on building up his brand, K-Nel is back with a music project which will definitely blow your minds. This project is titled “Naomi’s Baby” and has appearances from international artists signed on major record labels e.g Cashmoney records (Glasses Malone on his “Mbonga Mavi” debut), Jae Rich (Atlanta) not to mention there are rumors he has a record with the reggae legend Sizzla Kalonje.

Naomi’s Baby is a certified classic album mostly produced by Ghostboy, a talented singer and producer based in Boston. Other producers on this album are PDubb (USA) and Deejay Snake (Portugal). K-Nel has guaranteed his fans that he is elevating Kenya’s Urban music into new heights.

The leading single is “My Struggle” which features Ozmosis The K.I.D (Originally from Cuba and based in the USA) and Ghostboy who also produced the record. The record is dubbed “The Immigrants Anthem” considering every immigrant would relate to it one way or another.
The 1st verse kicks off with K-Nel rapping “I ain’t seen my daughter in 5 years now ha/You don’t know what I had to sacrifice to be here now ha”, the true story about his daughter Naomi. It get’s emotional when he cries out “nimetoka mbali, naelekea mbali”, indicating he is not loosing his focus on his goals and nothing will stop him from grabing the big prize. K-Nel’s goal is to inspire others not to quit on their dreams and encourages you to dream big.

The atmosphere on the 2nd verse changes when Ozmosis steps in rapping in Spanish. He sets the record straight making it well known he wasn’t born rich and had to struggle to get any form of currency you can think of (Euros, Pesos, Dollars). He stresses the need to work hard to make it saying there is no shortcut to success. Ozmosis at the peak of his verse states he is being hunted by poverty but he will not fall for it. Poverty is pushing him to the edge of breaking the rules. The pain can be felt in Oz’s voice.

K-Nel has shot 8 music videos for his album project and will be launching 1 music video each month for the next 8 months straight. You can buy the single exclusive only on Buymziki for 1.29$. Well, that aside, the latest pair of celebrities who are having their birthdays today is comedian MC Jessy Jasper and KTN’s Dj Sadic.

The two can only be described as ‘twins’ since they were born at the same date and month, though they are not brothers.

Each one of them has taken to their social media accounts to express their pleasure at turning another year.

MC Jessy said:

Pierra Makena Talks About Having Intercourse on The First Date

To bang or not to bang, that is the question many young people face on their first dates.

Engaging in coitus on the first date has become commonplace and many young people are engaging in it, but its still a topic of controversy. There is still a debate on whether you should be romping someone you just met.

Those against it that sex that has been had too soon equals a failed relationship and argue that sex on the first date disqualifies you from being considered girlfriend material plus there is that risk of contracting STI’s and ‘catching unnecessary feelings’.

But those up for it call it the epitome of sexual liberation. They also claim that it’s important to see what you are working with before taking the next step, likening it to first test-driving a car before buying it.

We sat down with Pierra Makena to find out if she would do the nasty on the first date. This is what she said:

Dear Full-Figured, Beautiful & Fabulous Women, Here’s Your Opportunity to Flaunt Those Sexxy Curves on The Runway

For centuries, the skeletal, sickly girls who pass as fashion models have been praised! Containing more meat on your skin was shunned and looked down upon on that account, ridiculous ways have been used by plus size women in hopes of getting that model figure that media has for centuries put down our throats as the ideal woman. Real beauty isn’t found in size zero, and it’s time plus-size models redefine what society considers beautiful not the heroine addict-looking supermodels.

And us women, love YOU. You have so much beauty inside of you that’s dying to come out. All you need to do is wake up every morning and have the confidence to to show it off. There’s nothing wrong being big, just be disciplined to be healthy. While curvy, you are still beautiful and still you. Life is too short to care what the next person thinks about your weight, if he or she has a problem with it, it’s THEIR problem, eat that damn cupcake if you want too!

I digress, my point was, the First Exclusive Plus Size Auditions is about to go down. I’m here to let you dear reader know when it will be, what you need for the auditions plus any other thing concerning the auditions.

‘Plus Fabulosity’s’ aim is to bring diversity in the Kenyan fashion industry by exclusively representing the plus size community.

They are looking for photographic, editorial, commercial and runway models. This amazing event will be going down at Secrets Lounge, Nairobi on the 31st of January, 2015. Put that in your diary.

What is needed is quite simple;
Must be Plus Size (Size 14 and above).

Bring with you:
1. A comfortable outfit of your choice.
2. Heels of not less than 3″ inches
3. A recent passport photo
4. Your confident self 🙂

A small fee of 700/= in advance and 1,000/= on the day of the auditions payable to Mpesa Till Number 802409 shall be charged, this will include the model training.

TELL A FRIEND TO TELL A FRIEND!!

Note
Auditions will be on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED basis.

Revealed: Joe Mfalme Shares His Most Embarrassing Moment

When you think about Kenya’s most reputable DJ’s, then Joe Mfalme is way up there on the list. He came, he saw, definitely conquered and now he’s on his way to the top if he’s not already there yet.

Amid all this success however, he has had his fair share of embarrassing moments which he’s not very comfortable revealing; only to the Ghafla team which he did in a recent interview. Check it out here>>>>> (video)

Well, if you’d like to meet DJ Joe and maybe ask him a couple of secrets he harbours, you can meet him at the Sportpesa Festival going down on the 31st of this month from 10AM to 6PM. He’ll be playing alongside other talented DJ’s namely Crème De La Crème, Pierra Makena and Mo.

Other attractions will include; contemporary Africa Fashion exhibition, contemporary African Arts and Crafts, High energy dance workshops and great food servings all garnished by incredible performances from Size 8, Bahati, Wyre, Stella Mwangi(STL), Nameless, Juacali, Kristoff and Khaligraph.

And it’s pretty simple to be part of this extravaganza. All you have to do is possess a sportpesa account and be part of those people who have already placed their bets. Then you’ll be required to send a short message, “FESTIVAL” to 79079. From there you’ll be entered into a draw and once picked, you’ll receive a confirmation message confirming that indeed you have won. A second message containing a unique ticket number will be sent to you as the festival nears.

And don’t worry even though you’re a first participant. All you have to do is send “FESTIVAL” to 79079 where you will receive a message with the necessary instructions. And here is the fun part; your ticket allows two people to enter so you can surprise your spouse, friend or even family member. Just make they are of legal age.

Kenyans Aren’t Done With Pastor Kanyari Just Yet. What They Did To Him Will Throw You Off The Chair (Photos)

Kenyans aren’t about to stop mauling pastor Kanyari any time soon. The “man of god” has been the object of ridicule for the nation for a while now.

Just a week ago, Kanyari was at the receiving end after he chickened out at the last minute failing to appear on The Trend. Kenyans quickly launched jabs at him after his failed appearance thoroughly tearing him apart.

This week though, Kanyari was mocked for a whole new different reason. With Coca Cola printing people’s names on their bottles, folks have been flooding the social media with their customized bottles.

Pastor Kanyari too has his own customized Coca Cola bottle. Kanyari did not only have his name printed on the bottle, his famous utterance “310” was conspicuously printed on the Coca Cola bottle as well.

Just in case you missed the joke, the printing wasn’t the work of Coca Cola, it was a common raia who customized the bottle for Kanyari.

Caught Pants Down: The Embarrasing Tales Of an Embu Man Caught Gobbling Down The Forbidden Fruit.

Caught pants down was he! World came tumbling for one for one Embu man when word got out that he had taken a detour to a known lodging with a spry miss with the intent of devouring the “forbidden fruit” away from the prying eyes of his wife. It was reported that the man had lied to the wife that he was taking their ailing young son to hospital  but chose to attend to the pressings of the flesh before taking the son for check up, so with his young son at his wake, he lumbered off to a secret meet (read lodging) where he proceeded to indulge in carnal pleasures oblivious of the catastrophe that was to befall him.

The wife back at home realized that the hubby was taking a little too long to run an errand that should have taken him half an hour, she set out to look for her family fearing that her son’s condition may have worsened. she inquired around and was told that the man she described had been sigheted getting into the lodging with a spry miss at tow.

She went from crazy to stark raving mad in seconds (like 0-100) She stormed the lodging like a demented beast baying for blood and caused a melee before she was directed to the room where her man was busy satiating his carnal appetite… She about burned the whole place down, ever heard of husband battery? The husband and whatever little he was caught with were pummeled to within inches of their existence, It took the intervention of the K24 crew that had been called to calm her down.

See What Dennis Onsarigo, Oliver Mathenge And Others Think About NYS Clearing Langata Primary School Ground

The Lang’ata Primary School playground had been grabbed. That is the truth that everyone is agreeing with at the moment.

An ultimatum was issued by the government for the land grabber to clear the debris from the ground and leave it to the school.

This came after demonstrations that turned sour when police lobbed tear gas canisters to the pupils who demanded their playground.

However, one thing that everyone is worried about and has left many tongues wagging is the fact that NYS, a government entity, was seen this morning clearing the playground.

This has left many unanswered questions over who exactly is the land grabber.

Many are asking if it is the government that was trying to grab the land. Others wonder why the land grabber has not been named and prosecuted for the crime.

Here are views from celebrities over the deployment of NYS to clear the land:

THE BATTLE: Why Homeboyz Radio’s Mwalimu Rachel Is A Much Better Presenter Than KIss FM’s Adelle Onyango

It’s no secret that Kiss FM presenter is more famous than Homeboyz Radio queen mwalimu Rachel. But let’s be honest. Who is the better radio presenter? It’s Mwalimu Rachel and I’ll tell you why. SO let’s get to it

Energy and Passion

Mwalimu Rachel is the most energetic female presenter in the country. She’s simply electrifying. When you listen to her Class 124 you are whisked through time, all the way to 4 pm even without realizing it. From the way she runs things, one can easily tell that Rachel loves what she does. She thrives in it. Her voice stands out like a statuesque thumb and her laughter is infectious.

rachel22222

Not to imply that Adelle is not energetic but most of the time, she comes out as more passive. She sounds like an employee that’s burdened by work. Someone who is eager to finish their tasks for the day then go home. But of course no one can take away the good work that the ever-smiling Kiss princess has done so far. She wouldn’t have become influential by doing a shoddy job.

But having an edge in terms of nationwide reach has helped her. The fact that Kiss FM covers the whole of the nation while Homeboyz Radio’s airwaves only covers Nairobi is a decisive element in the battle for supremacy. If you are outside Nairobi and it’s environs you have to listen to Homeboyz Radio online. I don’t know why the station has never expanded it’s reach but I believe that if Rachel had the same nationwide audience, she’d be a much bigger star than she is right now

Variety

Mwalimu Rachel’s Class 124 show is built on solid ideas. That’s the reason why it’s so popular among the teens and younger adults. There’s a classroom policy supported by well divided segments. These ideas enable listeners to engage her in a frequent basis. Rachel makes listeners feel like they are running the show, not the other way round. She doesn’t have the “I am the boss here” mentality. The kind of music played on the show is good too, ranging from hip hop to EDM and dancehall. The talented Homeboyz deejays also have few minute segments during Rachels show, during which they provide a club-like atmosphere.

What about Adelle’s show? It’s not that bad but it’s kinda plain to be honest. The only thing that rescues the show is its presenter’s charming persona and likability. Otherwise we are just served with the same old monotonous tracks playing over and over coated by a few trending topics.

adelle1111

Listener rewards

Mwalimu Rachel’s show offers lots of listener rewards. There’s the ever exciting event dubbed ‘Class In The Sun’ during which listeners of the show get to meet, interact, party and entertained by a popular artiste – all for free. Goodies to be won are always in plenty too. And it’s easy to get lucky since all you have to do in order to walk home with airtime, a ticket t a show or gift hamper is answer a question that Rachel has asked via Facebook or Twitter

Adelle’s show doesn’t offer plenty of rewards. We can argue that it’s not her responsibility to deliver rewards. maybe the responsibility of the management. But she can at least demand that such things be present in her show since she’s a big fish.

Huddah Monroe Caught With Her Pants Down In a Nairobi Street (Video)

Huddah Monroe was caught unaware in the streets of Nairobi by a curious onlooker who took a video of her.

Seeing Huddah Monroe in this video just proves one thing; the dazzling socialite is living the life many are still struggling to achieve.

Huddah was caught with her pants down driving the same top of the class Range Rover she was flaunting all over the social media.

She had been stuck in a traffic jam playing loud music when a curious onlooker spotted her. The anonymous person immediately approached her with a camera recording the impromptu meeting. Huddah was utterly shocked but she laughed it off.

After NTV, KTN, QTV And Citizen Tv Attacked GOTV, This Is What Nation FM Did for GoTv’s Sister Station DSTV

Over the past two weeks, advertisements sponsored by NTV, QTV, KTN and Citizen TV asking Kenyans to stay away from GOtv and Star times have spammed our screens.

The said advertisements claim that the two Digital TV providers were airing content from the four media houses illegally and local TV fans should boycott the digital TV service providers as the 4 TV Stations would soon be launching their set top boxes.

While the 4 media houses have been going hard on GoTv, DSTV GOTv’s sister) has been receiving some love on the other hand

Activist Bonface Mwangi Takes On The Government Over The Langata Land Grabbing

This week has seen condemnation fly from all corners of the globe following the tear-gassing of primary school children demonstrating to have their playground returned back after it was grabbed.

The incident caused massive outrage and condemnation from all quarters, with accusations also finding their way into the all saga.

President Kenyatta came out yesterday and demanded that the land be restored to the primary school and that those involved in the Monday incident be held responsible for the developments.

However, activist Bonface Mwangi, who was part of the group that led the demonistrations, has paused very stringent questions that he and many Kenyans on social media want the government to answer.

The big question that is being asked is, why has the land grabber not been mentioned, arrested and charged in a court of law because land grabbing is a criminal offence?

bonny

The activist is wondering why police, activists and the headteacher of Lang’ata Primary School are implicated yet the person who grabbed the land is walking scot-free.

NYS has been spotted this morning clearing the debris ready to construct a new wall for the school.

Remember NTV’s Peninah Karibe? This Is What She Is Up To Nowadays

Before the likes of Michelle Morgan and Betty Kyallo made their debut on our TV screens, the local News Broadcasting roost was ruled by two beauties namely Peninah Karibe and Lillian Muli.

Lillian Muli was stationed at KTN while Peninah was one of the top news casters at NTV. Lillian went on to bag a job at Citizen TV and became larger than life while Peninah was offered a job by CCTV and her career seemed to have come to a standstill. Not much has been heard about Peninah since then. Her name is usually mentioned fleetingly as one of the big names who left the country for greener pastures but sank into oblivion.

Those in the media circles are the only ones who seem to know where Peninah went and many Kenyans have been wondering her is Peninah Karibe.

Here is Peninah in her latest news bulletin, I don’t know about you but it sure would be nice if Peninah made her way back to local TV.

CABU GAH DIARIES: P-UNIT…..Kenya’s Cultural Icons. And The Road To Immortality.

Time after time, the World of Music offers us a personality-or group-whose music, artistry, prowess and adeptness at the game totally changes us. Changes how we talk…How we think…what we say,how we dress and how we dance. These artists are a godsend. And their art is more than just music…It becomes a cultural revolution.

Across the World, we know stories of artists (Mostly Pop) whose music and compositions left an indelible impression on the minds of music consumers. They wowed and changed the World by the the way they danced, the way they sang, how they sang, what they sang about, the words they used in their songs, the way they dressed and the way their channeled their art.

Top on that list we have the graceful King Of Graceland,Elvis Presley,The Greatest Entertainer of All Time,Michael Jackson,The Smoothest Singer Of All,Prince,The Most Hardworking Man in Showbiz,James Brown,The First Third World Superstar Bob Marley and the Goddess of Shock,Madonna.

You can also throw in 2000-era performers  Beyonce,Lady Gaga,Britney Spears,Justin Bieber and Amy Winehouse in that list.
These artists CHANGED the World by EVERYTHING they did. Everything they said. And everything they espoused. How they’ve dressed, danced or crooned.

Michael Jackson’s Moonwalk is a cultural icon. Elvis Presley’s vocals in themselves were a message from God. And the Beatles got the World enchanted. And don’t get me started on Beyonce’s moves,Madonna’s music videos or Amy Winehouse’s references in her music.

Locally,we have a group of artists whose music, whose art and whose contribution to the Music industry CHANGED Us. They influenced how we talked, Influenced how we dressed, Influenced how we approached Women and influenced how we clubbed.
They were smooth…they were rough…They were suave…they were chic and they were Rock n’ Roll. They are P-UNIT.

From the very moment they started singing,P-Unit have managed to tap into the heart of entertainment, steal souls, change how we think, introduce jargon to our everyday speech and teach us a thousand things we never even knew.
Their songs, for instance, weren’t named or titled from a typical point of view. Neither were their lyrics. Or composition skills. They went a step ahead, they were maverick and they dipped deeper into the pool…catching much better fish and feeding us with a whole new cuisine we’d never tasted before.

After giving us “Si Lazima Tuduu” and following it up with the smash hit,”Una” featuring DNA,P-UNIT made it clear that they weren’t here to sing, rap, compose and sound like everybody else. “Una” had references, jargons and slangs we hadn’t heard before. They talked of our everyday lives…managed to infuse humor, creativity and shock in one song. Successfully.

Then came “Juu Tu Sana” and, immediately, the catchphrase “Ako Juu” or “Ako Down” became a Kenyan commonplace street speech word. To date.

And then “Kushoto Kulia”…Another song that spoke to our party culture, our clubbing tendencies and our hidden party thoughts. It was raunchy. And real at the same time. And it wasn’t long before it became a sure club-banger. And permeated the very spirit of every music loving Kenyan.

Then “Kare”. A song whose title NO ONE expected. The word “Kare’ actually never existed UNTIL P-UNIT sang a song called so. And yet again, the word was immediately incorporated to our local language culture. And became a classic sheng word…Brought to the fore by a group of artists whose work has always been to invent, create and launch new trends and dialects and culture.

And then they did “Hapa Kule” with the man who discovered them,Nonini. “Hapa Kule”,like all their songs before, once again found its way NOT JUST into our clubs but also into our homes and into our language. The street quickly picked up the words ‘Hapa Kule’ and with time, the words were sooo big that a whole TV station (KTN) even ended up having a show named “Hapa Kule”. That’s a testimony of just how big the name had become. Courtesy of the Cultural titans,P-Unit.

But it was their smash hit “YOU GUY “ that finally cemented P-UNIT’s place as the quintessential KINGS OF THE STREET CULTURE.
The words “You Guy”,to this minute, are still widely and popularly used in our streets…From Nairobi to Kisumu to Eldoret. And also, they launched another word into the Kenyan cultural market; The word,”Dendai” which was street parlance for a Woman’s big behind. Or simply a sexually attractive woman.

And as if one song containing such huge cultural words wasn’t already enough,P-Unit still brought us”‘You can Gerrit”….Which basically meant that a particular person(Male or Female) was sexy enough to be viable for sex with the observer/admirer.

These are the same people who first brought Kenya’s Number One Female Entertainer,Vera Sidika,to the fore. Kenya now cannot do without Vera. But we all know who brought her to the limelight. With that very phat ass..

And with videos and photograph poses and a dressing style that was NOT only sharp but also unrivalled and absolutely sexy in such a huge way,P-UNIT made sure that they wrerent just here to sing. Or rap. Or perform.

They were here to change US. They were here to change how we talked and how we partied. They didn’t just come to the party. They came to be THE LIFE OF THE PARTY.

We talked like them, used their words in our everyday speech, dressed like them, based our lifestyles around theirs and viewed the World of Kenyan Pop Culture through their eyes.

And the many (Local or International) Awards they’ve won-or been nominated for-are a testament to who they really are. And what a force they’ve really become.

And then this smash hit,”Weka Weka”. Good Lord! That beat, those lines, that rhyming skill, those jargons, that video, those dancing styles and all that coolness. It ONLY had to be P-UNIT.

“Weka Weka” is the work of genius. So are P-UNIT.

Michael Jackson is imitated years after his death. Bob Marley is on t-shirts decades after he left. And P-UNIT may take that route too.

Because they’ve proved that, time and again, they weren’t just music artists, they were CULTURAL ICONS.

They came, changed us,schooled us,influenced us and affected us. And they continue to do so. Hail P-UNIT! Our own Beatles.

Singer Juliani Takes Shots At President Uhuru Kenyatta. This Is What He Said

President Uhuru Kenyatta’s government has been on the run to improve the livelihoods of slum dwellers by cleaning up the otherwise dirty streets.

The programme started off in Kibera slums and now has extended to other slums in Nairobi. The facelift is the slums is conducted by National Youth Services men and women.

However, singer Juliani still thinks that what the Jubilee government is doing is correct but not very.

The singer has said that the youth are not only supposed to be ‘watu wa mkono’, just like the Kibaki government made them look like.

Juliani thinks that the Kenyan youth can do much better in other sectors apart from the kazi kwa vijana programme that gives the youth an opportunity to be watu wa mkono.

Juliani said: Young Kenyan are really talented. I support my President in his efforts to create employment. Lakini seems the recent plans have been similar na kazi kwa vijana. I didn’t think young people are only capable of “Kazi za mkono” we have ideas, we have solutions! Let the government create alternatives, enabling environment, build infrastructures, young people with drive, ideas and hardwork can easily be prosperous. The youth have ideas and the government needs to be at the fore front to offer opportunities that will be in line with those ideas. This is not new as even former president Mwai Kibaki did the same for the youth while the Chinese constructors were constructing the Thika super highway.

Mike Sonko Is Not In a Mental Hospital. Robert Alai Reveals (Photos)

Controversial whistle blower, Robert Alai has now revealed the “true” location of Nairobi Senator, Mike Sonko following his loud silence.

Nothing hits headline in Nairobi without Sonko raising his voice regarding the same. The Nairobi Senator has however been stone-cold silent about the recent incident in Langata Primary School.

This prompted people to question Sonko’s whereabouts. To salvage the situation and stop the speculation on Sonko, Robert Alai came out to reveal the “true” location of the Nairobi Senator.

Alai posted photos of Sonko which shows he is in Mandera County doing Senate committee work. Sonko has however not posted the photos on his official Facebook page.

“Sonko says he is in Mandera doing Senate committee work. He is neither in a mental hospital nor running away from Hussein Machozi’s grabbing ways.” Wrote Alai.

Beef Alert:Avril Makes Her Last Response to Laika!Ati Who Is Laika Again?

On Monday an upcoming artist Laika took out all her guns, her grenades and rocket launchers outside Avril’s parlor where she decided to throw Avril a Kaboom party. She started by calling Avril’s and Ommy Dimpoz new jam, petty,  sub-standard and  other little ugly names  that she probably didn’t care to post.

Here is how it all started:”

tyh.jpg

she accused Avril of dragging Ommy Dimpoz into the murkiness of her failure as an artist by doing a collabo with whim on what Laika felt was music fit for kindergarteners, She went on to point out that Avril has not grown as an artist despite being in the industry for a million years. She Ended her rant by telling Avril to grow the F up or just quit music Forever. The nerve!

Well Avril was unnerved by Laika’s tantrums, in a private conversation she reiterated “she’s an upcoming artist looking for space in the media so she decides to hit out at me. Typical law of power stunt. so I wont be dragged along on this. Hence my no comment stand. And I wont even Google her. Ain’t got the time!

Avril  has no idea who Laika is and wont even try to find out. She (Laika) can rant all she wants, Avril ain’t got the time.

Julie Gichuru’s Comment on The Shameful Tear-gassing Of Children Ignites a Fierce War On Social Media. This Is What She Said

Julie Gichuru chipped in her thought regarding the despicable action by the police for tear-gassing pupils at Langata Primary School which surprisingly ignited a fierce war of words on social media.

Following the heartbreaking incident in Langata Primary, Julie Gichuru recommended a complete overhaul of national values.

“There are so many disturbing aspects to #‎OccupyPlayground in Langata yesterday. We need a complete overhaul of #‎NationalValues. Children have a voice, a right to be heard. We teach children violence is a better option & abandon the vulnerable. We shall reap what we sow.It is my prayer that #NationalValues must take centre stage alongside major projects if we are to build a nation we can all be proud of. Have a thoughtful day good people. Blessings” wrote Julie on her Facebook page.

ajulie

Julie’s sentiment however caused condemnation and applause on Facebook. Below are some of the comments posted after her sentiment:

Robert Karioki: i don’t understand -are u supporting the children demonstrating at the same time condemning them or the police for the violence?

Dennis Mukanda: It is illegal for any person to incite the public into an event resulting in the breach of peace.

Mumira Benso: you choose to see the glass half empty while i see it half full

Monica Wanjiku: Couldn’t agree more, Julie.

Mung’eetha David: Sometimes violence seem to be the only option remaining however detestable it is. Evrybody is talking about this school now. It is visible and the problem will probably be solved. Before nobody cared.

Millie Waithera Wangechi: Wen we were that age dint know how to demonstrate…..were they the right people to go to the street!aint support in the crazy act by our policemen wangu anekua hapo ati anasema bado mapambano angeniona

Justin Biketi: I agree as a nation we have erred, we have lost tact, we don’t have role models at all, where did the rain start beating us?? where?

Mumira Benson: we need to rebuilt our ethics from the top

Justin Biketi Mumira Benson: true very true ,we have to do this like yesterday! our future is bleak if the crop leaders we have apparently are to emulate , we need to start caring

Robert Ouko: Those kids were taught one of the best lessons in life outside their classrooms.Infact i tend to think that was the only way of teaching children to stand up for their rights and fight for what they know is right.Demonstrating is the only way people can show their anger so i know the kids will grow up fighting for their rights.I dont agree that they were taught to be violent.

Reubenson Gakahu: Those kids deserved that!!!!

Kiura Kabiri: Patriotism lacks in us, Truism to our State, that Honesty to motherland is not there. We say the opposite we mean, if we say we fight corruption we mean we condone it amongst our crooked clicks. We let it thrive amongst ourselves claiming ‘this is Kenya’ yet we are quick to condemn it in others!!!

Until we all learn the pains in our Freedom and Sovereignty that is when National Values will have been engraved and entrenched in us. Otherwise we will be fighting divided quotas till finally we crumble and in an eternal thud all fall.

Obara Omare: Jullie well said, as a parent my heart shattered when I saw kids push a wall n in the event the unexpected happened, Secondly I wonder, can’t Kenyans tlk??

David Zepeda Damian: Shut up! You tribalistic journalist..who doesnt thnk beyond her nose

Sandy Rienye: Surely whr is d tribal aspect..?

Rose Thuku: haters are healthy, keep on

Samson Willy Ogando: Any corrupt individual including looters of parastatals n public coffers should b condemned in the same breath as land grabbers.

James Shilachilu: Lost our moral values

Rose Thuku: For once someone shares my thoughts, ukipanda mbegu, tarajia mazao

Sam Ngugi: The kids have a voice but i dont think showing kids that demonstrations is the only way to solve problems is the way to go,just as much as the pokice are being held accountable for going over board,i tend to think the head teacher and teachers who encouraged the kids to demonstrate should also be held accountable. Their are many ways to kill a rat so explore other options its not only about strikes and demonstrations,we have to grow as a nation and move from this.

Wilfred Obonyo: If authority fails to listen what do we do???#Okwabisecho

Aron Kipyegon: that unfair& bad message to the all world.

Otienokemboikamau Onyangomutaijoseph: I don’t have kids yet, but if this is the society I’m going to bring my kids to! Be it, I’m keeping my paths on tighter than ever….

David Murimi: Amazing how much we grew up disenfranchised of basic rights, that when our kids actually show us the way we condemn them. This generation, born after 2012 are a generation of freethinkers. I’m highly proud of them.

Roza Atieno: And so what are these national values that kids violated yesterday

Nene Muthuri: My thoughts exactly. I still believe there was a better way to handle this situation than teach children violence.

Alfred Omwando: No amount of explanation can justify the act of our police officers towards the innocent kids. one stops to wonder whether those policemen have kids in this world. Equally, it is not right for the management of the school to use kids to demolish the erected war. Whoever is responsible in both parties should be brought into the books of justice. What values are we teaching our children? What morals are they learning from us? What kind of society are we building for tomorrow?

Nyakwar Adui: I wish u watched Ntv last night, it was break time the pupils left class 2 go n play in their play ground which had bn grabbed when they found the gate closed they started banging it, what followed was teargas b4 even they brought the fence down. What were u xpcting them 2 do? Where did u want them 2 go n play? If the lands belongs 2 the school as hv bn confirmed what was the police doing there with the dogs while the pupils were arriving at the sch? Whose property were they protecting n against who?

Stephen Kamau: This is a true reflection of how we are as parents. We teach our children to do battles for us.Look at our leaders both in Parliament and county assembly. Are we really role models to our kids? Insults, insults in public rallies and funerals, even our President isn’t spared.Let us reason together, see where we failed and make the necessary amends before it’s too late.Come on Kenyans.

Gathuru Nick: Though i don’t side with what the police did, school children should have been busy in class. I also blame the Head teacher for allowing children to be used in this kind of demonstration. Parents took their children to school to learn but not to demonstrate

Josh Chokz: Hope grabbing the play ground is not one of the so called national values!!!

Collins Dé Kayubs: National values indeed. We should have talked about national values before this land was grabbed. The children had every right to demonstrate because it was their playing ground that was grabbed.

Josh Chokz: Standing up for your rights is definitely a national value.

Josh Chokz: Tear gassing little school children is not a national value!

Victor Mumbo: so instead of bashing the land grabber we are here bashing the kids…i thought you knew better…

Mohamad Seif: why dont you do a report on children ,what they think about the country they live in ,get there views anf ideas of how they would like to see there country at..

Peter Muigua: Lets get facts those kids were not demostrating that was rioting. The govt had already declared that land belonged to the school so why put the lives of those kids in what wud have happened if that wall fell on those kids .I beliv that sumone jus wanted to gain sum mileage. teachers n those who led those kids shud b charged together with those police . looters properties shud b confiscated n auctioned

Vincent Omondi: Now it’s the kids??? Not the ArapMashambas??? This grabbing story has been going on for the week and a half, whatever the kids and the activists did yesterday lead to the action that have taken today, without whatever drama that went down yesterday that playground like many others would have been gone…. Leave the kids alone, blame the ArapMashambas.

Maurice Ngulu: Cant believe we got grown up here blaming the pupils.this thing been going on for some time boss.imagn jirani akuje kwako kukupiga.would you expect your chieldren to sit and wait till you are done with by the neighbour?its the same scenario here. They were defending what is rightfully theirs!!!I now understand how some of us find themselves in dead beat.very stupid!!!!Those are the leaders of tommorrow after we are gone.Every thing else can go to the wind but let them be protected(children).I wont ever understand how a trained police officer deploys a teargas canister on pupils surely.A TRAINED POLICE OFFICER!!!!SIO KANJUUU!!!

Omwami Igwe Webunyole Channie: u are openly supporting land grabbers! If thieves come to your house when you are with your husband and kids and then the thieves harm your kids, will you be blamed for using your kids!

Benson Chemase: neither national values, the police nor the pupils was the problem here the main problem were the so called activists who liks activism physicaly in camera bt there mind are far from the reality, thats where the overhaul issue shd b focused on, people condem police bt my question is what if that wall fell on those kids what cd have hapened? between th risk of wall colapsing on them n teargas to save their lives which one is beter? its unfortunate we lik criticising for the sake of doing jst lik activists themselves

Edwin Odhiambo Ondu: We’re teaching our children that grabbing land is ok and speaking out will be met with violence. Let’s decide as a country what we want our children to learn from us.

Pauline Macharia: Sending kids to demolish wall is cruel n exposes them to violence. But TEARGASING our children is not an OPTION! A few ppl must take responsibility. . We must stand for the children

After A Fiery Online War, Uhuru Kenyatta Speaks Up On The Tear Gassing Of Lang’ata Pupils

Traffic in Lang’ata came to a standstill yesterday as students, activists teachers and politicians took to the streets to protest the alleged grabbing of Lang’ata playground by private investors .

The protest took a dreadful turn when the children joined their teachers and other protestors to bring down the wall of the grabbed land. Things got even uglier when some of the policemen faced violence from the protestors and had to fire teargas canisters at the protestors, most of them children. What resulted was nothing short of a pandemonium with the young children wailing and running some of them rather dangerously following exposure to the gas.

This act by the police shifted the attention of the masses from the grabbed land to the tear gassed children as images of their tiny wailing faces surfaced online. And this issue has sparked an online debate with many condemning the police acts while others saying that children should not be in protests in the first place .Especially if its Boniface Mwangi who was leading the protest as protests led by him result to casualties.

The president has spoken on this issue saying that the saga should not have escalated to such a violent protest. Action would be taken against the Ministry of Lands and the National Land Commission officials for not nipping the Lang’ata Road Primary School land issue in the bud.

{youtube}xT40dRQdi1k{/youtube}

The president also said that the policemen who flung the teargas canisters would be brought to book, even the headmaster was not spared either and this was what Uhuru had to say about him
“The headmaster should also answer some questions. How do you allow your students to go and demolish walls, what if the walls fell on the children? What language would we be speaking today?”

Waves and Visions of Hope – Mawimbi na Njozi za Tumaini

“To those of us who live by the sea and oceans, the waves mean more that simply curling waters. They denote sounds of a permanent presence, of expected arrivals and anticipated departures. Waves welcome visions of a depth terrifying and a lightness beckoning but more still they propose hope in its glorious and abject abstraction. To filmmakers this imagery is an embrace of their creativity as those sounds, designs, images and movements are the bedrock upon which their art is formed. The 2015 theme is a call to deeper introspection, to collaboration with those with whom we hear the call and to that enchanted time and space.”

Renowned Pastor Opens Up About Getting Raped and Stabbed On Her Wedding Day

Every little girl dreams of their wedding day as a day full of love and festivities but for Terry Gobanga ,a renowned pastor her wedding day was nothing short of heartrending.

Speaking on KTN’s Morning Express show, Terry says that on the morning of her wedding, she decided to escort her friend who had slept over and on her way back she was waylaid by three men who abducted and drove off with her.

The horror that awaited her in the car was nothing short of wicked. One of her abductors shoved clothing into her mouth and two of them raped her sadistically. While this atrocity was going on, the car was on the move, but it stopped when the diver’s turn came. The animal removed the pieces of clothing that gagged her and shoved his manhood into her mouth. In her mind Terry knew that she was about to die and felt she had nothing to lose and that is when she took a bite off his junk, sending him reeling away in pain.

This act set off her assailants and that is when they stabbed her tossed her out of the car, leaving her for dead. When Terry came to; she was naked and bleeding and had to be taken to hospital; to recuperate by good Samaritans after the horrific incident. After the dreadful incident, doctors informed her that she could not have any children as her womb had been ruptured after she got knifed by her attackers.

While some may would have made it for the hills after this unpleasant occurrence, her then to be husband stuck around and they got married about and year after this happening. This was after doctors made sure she was in the clear medically. 29 days after their wedding, another tragedy struck Terry and she lost her beloved to Carbon Monoxide poisoning.

Ringtone is not letting the 1.2 million fraud case that taint his reputation to distract him from engaging in a new music project.

Just last week, Ringtone appeared on court to face fraud charges that he was allegedly being accused of. The singer got huge relief when he struck a deal for an out-of-court settlement to his dispute.

Earlier, Ringtone had flown to Uganda to meet Exodus. The two were working together to release the first international collabo for gospel artists in 2015.

Kenyan Songbird Cautiously Plans To Wed After Her First Marriage Went Sour

Marriage, as it is turning out to be, is one of the most controversial topics in the world today. When two people move in together as spouses and live happily after, without much limelight and scandals in the public, the two deserve a standing ovation and a round of applause.

Many a times we see couples portraying a very positive image in the public only to learn later that they are no longer together. The most recent case is Gospel singer Gloria Muliro’s marriage that went sour with her husband Pastor Eric Omba.

Well, Gloria is not the first celebrity to go through this. Singer Akothee is a living example of a woman who endured difficult moments before things turned around in her favour, making her one of the richest artistes we have in Kenya today.

Akothee was married before and had four kids before breaking up with her husband who, according to the singer, vanished, leaving her and the kids suffering.

However, Akothee has since moved on and it seems she is planning to marry again, though this time cautiously.

“Round hii sitafanywa lorri ya makaa! round moja shambani roundi ya pili gereji! Na ninataka kuitwa Mrs so and so hebu munichagulie vazi la harusi maana zishanichanganya! bwana harusi tutajua mbelembele usiku nono mpenzi”

The singer has revealed on her facebook page that she cannot wait to assume the title Mrs. Which she so craves.

Akothee is now seeking advice for the best wedding gown as she plans to be someone’s wife. The singer has declined to reveal who the Mr. right is for but she says that we will get to know him with time.
