Storymoja and Start a Library took one more step towards breaking the world record of Most People Reading Aloud at the Same Time, from the same text and from Different Venues.

And 160,190 children from 422 schools in 12 counties read aloud on Friday the 30th of January to smash the previous National record! Speaking on their new record, the organizers said “We thank teachers, parents, reading ambassadors and the many volunteers who helped make this happen.”

Adding that “Storymoja’s vision is to get ‘A Book in Every Hand.’ Our latest initiative is Careerpedia – an encyclopedia full of down-to earth descriptions and interviews with professionals working in 120 careers. Careerpedia will also roll out a formal mentorship network that invites and trains mentors to help students plan their future.  “
Careerpedia will be launched at their inaugural Storymoja Festival in Nakuru on Thursday 28th to Saturday 30th May 2015, at the Kenya National Library Service Nakuru Branch.

The digital migration saga is still the most trending topic in Kenya today following the shutdown of TV stations from digital platforms by three media houses in the country.

The government has remained adamant that digital migration is a must and that whoever trying to delay or derail the process is on the loosing end.

In a move that aims at giving another blow to RMS, NMG and SGL, the director of digital communication in the office of the president, Dennis Itumbi, is effecting his job.

Itumbi has said that he will be giving decorders freely through an initiative dubbed Team Uhuru to lucky Kenyans.

All this is aimed at ensuring that Kenyans move across the fence and join the digital world.

Itumbi said:

On Digital Migration -I rest. The facts are stated. The Courts agree.

Will be back with a few decoders to give a few people through Team Uhuru.

Just the few we can afford as our way of giving back.

 

Miss Tourism kicked off this year’s pageant season and they did it in style, with pomp and glamour often associated with beauty pageants.

We witnessed the entry of the beauties that were the Miss Tourism county winners to the Miss Tourism Kenya Academy at KICC and each put their best foot forward to ensure that they were etched in our minds.

Eric Omondi is one of the most talented comedians Kenya has ever seen. He is revered for his comedy and antics on stage, putting him on a level that many would struggle to reach.

However, all this happened in Eric’s life thanks to one man, Daniel Churchill Ndambuki, the founder and host of the famous Churchill Show.

It was Churchill who spotted and nurtured Eric Omondi and brought him into the limelight. Eric admits this.

Speaking exclusively to Ghafla Kenya, the comedian has narrated how Churchill is a father to him and the massive respect he harbours for the veteran comedian.

When asked why he left Churchill Show despite all that Churchill did to him, Eric revealed that it was because of the rise of other comedians such as Sleepy David, Chipukeezy, David the Student and many others that compelled him to leave the show.

Eric says that he had become a grown up comedian and had to move out to give room to the rising comedians.

He added:

But I have come to realize that the strong façade that was well manicured over the years breaks down and they show that they are real humans. And such is the case of Alai who could not help but cry when Hyvon Ng’etich crawled to the finishing line in one of the most epic moments ever recorded in a Marathon.

The event captured hollow-eyed Hyvon inch towards the finishing line, clinging to hope and having more determination that I have ever seen.

The word ‘brave’ has become overused and thrown around willy-nilly, but in Hyvon’s case this statement rings 100% true.

 

Nick Mutama has landed a new deal that will see him back on the screen in a continental series that brought out the best of Lupita Nyong’o.

After Nigerians stole it from Kenya, Shuga season four will be hitting the screens soon and Nick Mutuma will be the only actor from the country to feature in it.

Shuga, a television soap opera, first hit the screens in 2009. The first season of the drama series was dominated by Kenyans actors among them, Lupita Nyong’o and Nick Mutuma. It also featured cameo appearances from music celebrities namely; Madtraxx, P-Unit, Nonini, Nameless, Juliani, Jimmy Gate and Dj Adrian.

The production of the third and subsequent series was moved to Nigeria in 2013 doing away with Kenyan actors.

The executive Director of MTV Staying Alive Foundation however revealed Nick Mutuma’s character ‘Leo’ was being revived in the series.

Nick will be making his way back to Shuga for the cast of the fourth series which will also be shot in Nigeria. The series will be filmed in the port city of Lagos in March before hitting the TV screens in June 2015.

 

It is now turning out that University of Nairobi’s Babu Owino is an enemy of the KCA University after the latter suspended one of its students for meeting the latter.

In the suspension letter that is doing rounds on social media, KCA University Vice Chancellor has indefinitely suspended John Lucas Nyangaresi from the university with an immediate effect for meeting the University’s enemy.

In the letter, the vice chancellor says that Babu Owino is an enemy to the university who has in several occasions threatened to rally the KCA university students to go on strike.

The VC also says that Babu Owino threatened to burn down his car and that he is his greatest enemy.

Nyangaresi is accused of meeting Babu Owino at Thika Road Mall (TRM) where they held lengthy discussions which the VC feels are detrimental to the institution.

Nyangaresi has been warned to keep off the university as he awaits further disciplinary action.

He has also been threatened with an immediate expulsion if he meets Babu Owino again.

In a rare show of tenacity, a Kenyan female marathon runner crawled to the finish line in Austin marathon.

29-year-old Hyvon Ngetich made an epic finish at Austin Marathon as she crossed the finish line on her hands and knees after her body gave out on her a few meters to the race’s end.

Ngetich refused to give up after she fell down on the final leg of the race. She had been leading fellow Kenyan Cynthia Jerop who won the marathon at 2:54:21.

Ngetich refused to be helped until she crossed the line on her own at 3:04:02 to finish third. She bagged a cash price of $1000 or Kes 91,348.

Her spectacular act of endurance and persistence caught the eye of the world making her receive overwhelming applause for her incredible dedication to finishing the 21 kilometer race.

Brenda Wairimu and Juliani recently welcomed a baby girl named Amor who has been fiercely shielded from the limelight since her birth.

As it turns out the baby Juliani made with Brenda is not the only baby he made, as he has a new baby named ‘Dandora Hiphop City’. This is a one of its kind creative haven in the country that will benefit from the philanthropic gesture by the Kenyan Private sector and the big hearted Kenyans.

 

The money collected/ donated – will support the project that will create jobs and apprenticeships and training places. The project strives to change the phase of Dandora from just a dumping ground riddled with crime and drugs to a place burning with talent just like in the ‘hey’ days of Kalamashaka and Ukoo Flani and of cause the brain child himself Juliani.

The long term mission of the project is to support the youth within and around the Dandora community enabling them unlock their enormous potential, boost the social development and contribute to the wide Dandora area.

“This is an amazing initiative by my good friend Juliani, when I first heard of it I immediately wanted to be part if this life changing project. I would like to see this space develop and nurture the youths of Dandora and its environs through Art and National Bank is going to play its part whenever called upon.

Yesterday I did a list of Kenya’s A-List Celebs…..And by that,I mean,a list of the creme de la creme of Kenya’s Entertainment scene. And while Kenyan DJs do command quite a commendable amount of respect and mullah,somehow,they couldn’t make the cut. Because, unlike traditional entertainers, DJs reinforce the entertainment. Not create entertainment.

Moving on swiftly,today,I will attempt to,very fairly and impartially,release the list of Kenya’s B-List Celebs. B-list Celebrities are celebrities who earn good cash but not thaaaaat good….Celebs who command respect in the public but not thaaaat much respect,Celebs who are popular but not thaaaaat popular,Celebs who have a fan base but not thaaaat huge a fan base.

Basically,just B-rated Celebs….Who,compared to their A-List stars,tend to fall short on almost all departments. But,still,they’re good. Still,they’re popular, still they make mullah…still, they do command a decent fan base.

Actually,most B-list Celebrities are former A-list celebrities but,somehow, they fell from grace….they lost the touch,lost the mojo,lost the plot and lost the flair. And in this very unforgiving industry, were relegated to the B-list real fast.

Aaaaaand without further ado,here are the Kenyan Celebs who exist in Category B….And they seriously need to pull up their socks….

1.Avril….

Avril actually is a former A-lister. She’s been an A-list celeb for a minute now….Until recently when she bounced off the shelves. And ended up sitting very pretty,prettier than her forehead,in the B-list. And sadly,she seems to relish it. She had some mojo…But,methinks she lost it. She used to be sexy…And sultry…Well,I don’t know whether I can still say that today. Naaah. Plus those songs,NO WAY! The A-list needs better music. However,she’s a very strong B-lister tho…

2.Sanaipei Tande…

This one actually belongs in the C-list. Very deep in the C-list. Her only saving grace is that very very very sexy jam she did last Year “Mfalme Wa Mapenzi”. And that very very very come-hither music video she followed it up with. Plus she still has a radio job. No?? Well,B-list is not sooo bad for this former Coca Cola Queen.

3.Amani

Amani Amani Amani,another A-lister who bounced off the stairs…But really,she had to bounce. Just had to. She wouldn’t stay in the A-list. Not with those songs. And hairstyles. And very boring lifestyle. And 2 Awards per 10 years. Still,she’s a strong B-lister. Kinda strong…

4. Kristoff….

I serioiusly don’t know what to say regarding this fellow. Don’t know. If he works harder,he may end up in the A-list. But as for now,he’s warming the B-list bench real good. And the bench may get even warmer…If he keeps rapping like that.

5.Anto Neo Soul

He’s got a real sultry voice…And some really dope composition skills. He’s an actual musician,actually. Better than 50% of these things singing to us daily. But still,dude’s a B-list. He may be dope in the studio,dope on the stage but hasn’t yet figured out how to be sooooo freakin’ dope,he just have to be A-list dope. But as long as he pays his dues….Well….

6. Huddah Monroe

Doesn’t matter who owns that Range Rover. Girl has come a long way….From her days of real struggle in some real shady high schools,to Twitter infamy,to Big Brother ignominy to little silly scandals and dating anything and everything,this girl may never appear in the A-list. Sad Fact.

7.Sarah Hassan…

Former Tahidi High luvvie turned TV host,Sarah is not doing so badly. Her Tahidi High fellowship,however,seems to be a permanent hindrance to her really ebbing forward and shrugging off that teenage actress tag that seems to endlessly stalk her transition to more serious roles in entertainment. To many,she’s still that Tahidi High ka-girl. Many actually still call her Tanya. Bad News. She’s In the B-list to stay.

8.Sheila Mwanyigha.

The only reason I didn’t throw her into the C-list is because,ummm,well,I have no idea. Girl was popping way back. But refusing to age relegated her to the B-list. You cannot be 24 Years for the last 30 Years and still remain in the A-list. God is not that cruel.

9. DNA

Dspite the fact that he says absolutely NOTHING in those tu-songs of his, despite the fact that he has the writing skill of 2 post-baby class boys,despite the fact that he never seems to outgrow that Banjuka monolith and despite the fact that he’s now nowhere in the public radar,well,he’s till kinda there. Somehow there…B-list is actually very good for him.

10.Juliani

He came I with a bang. Stayed in the A-list for quite sometime….And then,NGO-related duties sucked him up,activism gobbled him up and the desire to replicate Wangari Maathai totally consumed him. Not that that is a bad thing…Only that,in his quest to save the World and succeed Ban Ki-Moon as the next UN Sec. General,Juliani forgot to entertain anymore. Or be the burning spear he started out as. But still,keep saving the World bro. One B-list at a time.

11.Mejja

Yes,I know,I know,He’s making serious hit songs every 3 minutes. And Yes,I know,he’s somehow conquered the dancefloor. Totally. With that crew,Kansoul. But still,Mejja,unlike his compatriot,Jimwat,is atleast doing good for himself. And is sitting pretty in the B-list. Just needs to work harder. Not that he’s ever been in the A-list,anyway.

12. Vivian

Vivian is my friend. I actually really like this girl. But still,girl is stuck in the B-list. Jaguar should have dragged her to the A-list. Lakini she left her to be devoured by the Beast,Bobbi Mapesa. Bad move. She seriously needs to overhaul her whole image. And whole art. Seriosuly.

13.Abbas Kubaff.

HE’S THE BEST KENYAN RAPPER EVER. I keep saying that. B-list is not soo bad for him. Not so bad…..

14. Teacher Wanjiku

Huyu hata sijui niseme nini…..

15.Ringtone

Not exactly the best Gospel artiste ever,Ringtone has actually NEVER been in the A-list. Never! He has too many issues to fit in the A-list. But Hey,Brother is making mullah…From whichever sources. Plus Brother reportedly lives in Runda. Well,for a ‘musician’ who sings as shoddily as he does,B-list is more than enough. But he’s so close to the C-list. So close.

16.Jay A

Don’t like the fellow. His music? Unbearable. I mean,He’s our Iggy Azalea. And that’s NOT a compliment. Wacha tu niwachie hapo.

17.Prezzo

This guy was the A-lister of all A-listers! He was! For many Years! But then the money stopped flowing,the music stopped thumping and the charisma pretty much died. He almost survived absolute extinction from that BBA boost…But,oops,he fell again. As usual. Poor kid. I Love him tho…I really do!

18.Victoria Kimani..

She actually belongs in the A-list. I just made a mistake. Poleni sana.

19.Willy Paul…

He could very comfortably fit in the A-list. But not with that ego. Or recklessness. Or daily scandals. Or absolute lack of tact. But still,this boy’s veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery talented. Very very. If only he can stop being such a douchebag.

In a statement released on Facebook, the KFCB wrote:

The Board wishes to inform the public, film operators and stakeholders that the film, 50 Shades of Grey has been RESTRICTED. It should not be screened or distributed to the public.

It’s a bitter week for popular Facebook bigwig,Cabu Gah. The social media activist is now weeping after his three-year-old relationship was unexpectedly cut short by his girlfriend.

It’s a season of celebrity breakups! The heartbreak started with Gloria and Pastor Eric Omba then Nyambane and Linda followed suit and now, it has shifted gear to a blogger, Cabu Gah.

It’s double tragedy for Cabu Gah. Barely two weeks ago,he was arrested and his initial Facebook page went missing too.

The Facebook bigwig is now team single. He was dumped three days prior to Valentine ’s Day by his very gorgeous girlfriend, Brenda Wanjiru.

Narrating his lamentations in a lengthy Facebook post,It appeared Cabu Gah was dumped because he failed to fulfill a “promise” he had made to his girlfriend.

Can you believe that??! What kind of a promise can make your three year girlfriend dump you really? I am not convinced that is a reason enough for the breakup.

A chat with Cabu Gah tells another story. The dude smells of absolute guilt. Whatever it is that he did to his girlfriend, must be really hurting. Cabu Gah didn’t directly state why he was let go, he just kept beating around the bush with his fragmented reasons that couldn’t connect. But I guess I know why he was let go. And I also think I know WHO made her dump him. Hehe….

Anyway for now, Cabu Gah is SINGLE. Any lady wishing to date the trouble-making blogger,please do it with pleasure, he desperately needs a shoulder to lean on. Desperately.

After selling more than 40 Million copies worldwide it was only practical for a “50 Shades of Grey” movie to come into life, and coming to life it did.

And the trailer of the new movie was pretty steamy and the fans could not wait to watch the movie. But Alas! The Kenya Film Classification Board slapped us with what they called a ‘restriction’ which feels more like a ban so you cannot watch this movie in the theaters.

But the ban and the consequent loss of revenue is just a drop in the ocean for the producers of the movie as they are making a killing.

According to Variety Magazine, the movie made about 81.7 million dollars (7.2 Billion Kshs) from 3,646 locations where the movie was screened over a three day period. So what made this movie such a success?

“It had that whole sex thing going for it, it was edgy, and it started a conversation. It went beyond being a girls’ night out movie and became a date night movie.” said Paul Dergarabedian, senior box office analyst at Rentrak.

This makes me think that the banning of the movie was not a sleek move; this movie is a cash cow. There would have been better off placing an age restriction.

Over the past few days, Kenyans have been dragged through dark times. Most of us have been left with no choice but to watch the ‘mama’ of all stations- KBC. Due to the digital migration battles, all the other popular stations have been off air.

KBC is plain boring nowadays, but that’s not how it always used to be. In the 90s, the state-owned station was the bomb. The program line up was so spectacular that you felt guilty or annoyed when you missed a single program. I was a kid and I enjoyed every bit of the experience.

Without further delay, here is the list of the TV programs that used to rock when KBC was……uuum. When KBC was KBC, just to put it in layman terms.

Tausi

The family drama still stands as the most magnificently written Kenyan TV show of all time. Its characters included the likes of Mzee Kasri, Linda and Master Sugu. Tausi’s producers focused on bending the show to angles we could all relate to. Snippets of it can still be found on YouTube and KBC’s archives of course.

Adventures Of Sinbad

Sinbad was TV gold. Every Sunday at 1:30 pm, all the kids would cut their play time short just to occupy the best sit in the living room before the show’s glorious soundtrack began. Sinbad was a bombshell- full of adventure and exciting action. It centered around a sailor called Sinbad and his crew battling magical villains.

Conan

Another masterpiece about a sword-wielding warrior who bore the habit of slicing enemies like they were cake. Overall, the series focuses on Conan’s personal vendetta against Hissah Zuhl, an evil sorcerer (who appears in almost every episode, with a sarcastic reanimated skull as a clairvoyant servant), constantly seeking to kill Conan. In short, the show as a box of entertainment galore

Tahamaki

The best Cop Vs Gangsta drama that has ever been produced in Kenya. Even though it got scary at times with the killings, this TV show was way beyond it’s time. Police would raid the hideouts of gangsters in Mahindra vehicles and engage them amazing gun battles.

WWF

Forget, WWE, back in the day there was WWF (World Wrestling Federation) where fights were intense and the stories were deep. The earlier version of the wrestling franchise also boasted of hardcore wrestlers such as Hulk Hogan, The Rock, the overweight Yokozina, British Bulldog, Hitman, Stone Cold and Psycho Sid. Don’t we all wish time would rewind?

Rex: A Cop’s Best friend

A cult classic., the show was about a German Shepherd police dog Rex, and the rest of the team at the Vienna Kriminalpolizei homicide police unit, as they work worked together to solve crimes. Some of us still love dogs because of Rex

Robocop

Nowadays, there are too many shitty Robocop movies being produced but in the 90s there was the Robocop TV series. Made to appeal primarily to children and young teenagers, it lacked the graphic violence that has the hallmark of Robocop movies. Despite that, the show still managed to be incorporate well-coordinated action sequences thus making it a favorite among adults too.

Walker Texas Ranger

Starring the well-celebrated action hero Chuck Norris, Walker Texas Ranger was in a league of its own. The show was known for its moral values. For example, the characters refrained from the use of drugs, and they participated in community service. Martial arts were displayed prominently as the primary tool of law enforcement and occasionally as a tool for Walker and company to reach out to the community. The show has since become one of the most popular action shows in television history.

Vitimbi

The current crop of Kenyan comedians has to be thankful for shows such as vitimbi and the great men and women who starred in them. Vitmbi, together with Vituko and Kinyonga helped lay the foundation for Kenyan comedy. Oh hail the legends such as Mzee ojwang, Baba Ziro, Likobe and the late Masanduku

Tarzan

The show was a hit among kids. The storyline rolled around a jungle warrior who only had animals as his friends. Almost everything he did was thrilling and exciting.

According to a local blog, Citizen TV’s screen siren Lillian Muli caused a scene alongside the Kileleshwa by-pass after her Audi-Q7 crashed and ended up in a ditch.

The reason for the alleged accident was that she was under the influence and she  apparently jumped out of her car after surviving and started insulting bystanders and crying.

Lillian has however come out to rubbish the allegations that she was involved in an accident after her followers started posting get well soon message.

It is 2015 and movies are still being ‘restricted’ in Kenya. After Wolf of Wall Street, Fifty Shades of Grey has met the wrath of the Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) for being too explicit and eroding Kenyan morals.

Well, this has not gone down too well with TV personality Larry Madowo who feels the KFCB is just ignorant of the existence of the internet.

In an article in his Daily Nation column, Madowo has mauled Gospel singer Emmy Kosgey’s father, Bishop Jackson Kosgey, who sits in the board as the chairman, for the ban which he says will only accelerate the number of people who would want to know what made the movie get banned.

Larry says that Bishop Kosgey seems not to know that internet exists where anyone can get access to the banned movie any time they want.

 

 

 

 

Coca Cola continued to share love with Google Kenya through it revolutionizing #ShareacokeKe campaign.

The Google team received personalized cans of Coca-Cola Cans. Last month, the beverage giant launched a consumer campaign dubbed Shareacoke that encourages Kenyans to share coke sodas’ with their family, loved one and friends. Under this campaign, the firm replaced its iconic ‘coke’ logo with 250 local popular names and google are among the recent people to benefit. Here are the photos of them sharing the good times.

He has been hitting the headlines for making claims he couldn’t substantiate when asked to. Paul Kobia’s actions have made many to think he has totally lost it upstairs.

The first time he attracted media’s attention was when he was linked to Congo’s gold disappearance. Then there was a video of Kobia threatening the former Prime Minister and so on.

In an interview with NTV’s Larry Madowo on the Trend, Paul Kobia asserted that he was mentally stable and that he was the one who owns and runs the twitter handle that has been dispatching contentious tweets.

But Kobia’s actions prove him wrong. His utterances and tweets suggest the businessman is a total wacko. Below are some of Kobia’s actions that prove so:

1. Kobia claimed there were plans to appoint Rights Activist, Boniface Mwangi FKF boss. He indicated Harambee Stars must play in 2018 world cup saying Boniface will deliver on his mandate.

2. Kobia claimed he was mobilizing 500 youth from Mathare, Kibera and Dandora slums to raid Kathy Kiuna’s church after the latter allegedly banned the poor from her church.

3. Kobia was once heard bragging of how he successfully killed the late Fidel Odinga. (He later denied killing him saying he was suffering from paranoia that why he made the contentious utterance.)

4. Speaking to members of the press, Kobia promised to hunt down three opposition senators namely; Boniface Khalwale, Omar Hassan and Johnston Muthama for allegedly abusing the head of state.

5. Kobia said Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology should be renamed after him and not after dead people.

6. Now this is totally hilarious! Kobia claimed he would personally be paying the new political advisor on a weekly basis. Guess who the advisor is? Former British Prime Minister, Tony Blair is the advisor Kobia was talking about. Kobia said he would be paying him for offering good advice to the president.

7. Kobia claimed he turned down President Uhuru’s offer of making him the Kenyan ambassador to Japan.

8. Kobia stated that only three Kenyans are allowed to have sirens on their vehicles namely; President Uhuru, his deputy, William Ruto and himself (Kobia)

9. Kobia claimed he was mobilizing 400 youth from the slums to go wash Central Police Stations plus all the cars at the station.

10. Kobia claimed he was importing two Lamborghinis from Britain and instead posted the photo of the green Lamborghini and red Ferrari that caused a scene as they docked at the port of Mombasa.

The five suspects behind the murder of Kabete MP,George Muchai, his two bodyguards and the driver have confessed why they killed the four in cold blood two weeks ago.

Muchai was murdered on a Saturday morning as he drove home from Westlands where he had held a family meeting that night.

The five suspects told the police that they were on a night long robbery mission when they spotted Muchai’s car parked near Nyayo House.

They were in a carjacked Toyota Spacio when they spotted the late MP’s car and turned around to carjack and rob it.

On reaching there, they dashed out of their car and headed straight to the car. One of the suspects saw Muchai’s bodyguard draw a pistol ready to shoot, and that is when the killer opened fire at the four, killing them instantly.

The five suspects, two women and three men, were arraigned in court yesterday where the court allowed the police to detain them for 22 days as they carry out investigations into their other criminal activities.

They were presented before principal magistrate Benson Nzakyo.

The suspects were identified as Steven Astiva Lipopo, alias Chokore, Raphael Kimani Gachie, alias Kim Butcher, Mustafa Kimani Anyonyi, alias Musto, Eric Isabwa Munyeria, alias Chairman, Margaret Njeri Wachiuri and Jane Wanjiru Kamau, alias Shiro.

The police said Munyeria was armed with a G3 rifle and did all the killing. The 28-year-old works as a tomato distributor at the Kangemi Open-air Market and is a father of one.

Mustafa Kimani, 23, works as a hawker in the Kangemi area. He is not married but has a girlfriend identified only as Njeri, who was not arrested by the police. He lives in a one-roomed house in Kangemi near the Adamanje Academy. The man also does menial jobs in his neighborhood, such a carrying luggage and washing cars.

 

Thirty-five-year-old Raphael Kimani is the Kangemi butcher found with a Ceska pistol stolen from one of Muchai’s guards. He hails from the Rironi area but lives in a rented house in Waruku. He is said to be the driver of the Toyota Spacio carjacked from the two women in the Wangige area and which was used during the attack on Muchai.

 

Lipopo, a 35-year-old, had the role on the night of terror of beating up victims and robbing them. He was arrested at a house in the Murera area of Ruiru, where he fled to after the MP’s murder. He also operates from the Kangemi matatu terminus, where he sometimes works as a tout and also does menial jobs at the Kangemi market.

 

Jane Wanjiru Kamau, 25, is a mother of one and is married to Mustafa Kimani Anyonyi (Musto). Margaret Njeri Wachiuri is a 30-year-old mother of two and wife of Eric Isabwa Munyeria. She runs a vegetable kiosk near her house in Kangemi. Police found the G3 rifle used in the murder and seven bullets in her house.
