Controversial Blogger Robert Alai Getting Married Soon

Social media screamer, Robert Alai is planning to tie the knot but his wedding is not going to be like those of typical celebrities.

Kenya’s most outspoken whistle blower, Robert Alai is finally planning to put a ring on a lady’s finger. In a telephone conversation with Hero radio, Alai disclosed he was looking forward to settling down soon.

Alai was responding to questions that listeners had send to the radio station. Asked if he had a family, Alai responded with a long elaborate response.

“Hehehe I like to avoid that question because I have very powerful friends and enemies you know. So I would like to keep my family sometimes very private. But am intending to marry very soon. Am not yet married.” Answered Alai.

When Hero Radio’s presenter jokingly asked him to invite her to his wedding, the blogger explained he was not planning to have a church wedding.

“Sisi hatufanyangi harusi. Keki naye lazima lakini harusi ya kanisa hapana.” Alai responded.

Even though he didn’t reveal when exactly he is planning to wed, Alai assured listeners he was going to settle down ‘soon’ with his better half.

Here is the complete conversation Alai had with Hero radio:

CABU GAH DIARIES: Wyre,JuaCali,Redsan,Nazizi…..You Guys Need To Seriously Change Your Style. Its 2015! For Christssake!

Radio legend Caroline Mutoko said something quite poignant recently….She requested Ragga icon Redsan to either switch his musical style or forever remain the obsolete artiste he has now become. Coming from someone with so much knowledge, experience and insight in the Media and Music Industry politics, that’s quite some gem of an advice.

Redsan started off some 20 Years ago. Or so. And unlike his contemporaries,Chameleone and Bebe Cool,Redsan seemed to have lost the plot along the way…His style was quite funky and fresh and groovy Years back…But he forgot to grow with the times. And move with the new generation.

Redsan’s musical style, honestly,is quite good. Ok,I meant to say,was quite good. Not anymore. He is the ONLY Ragga artiste we had. Or have. And You would NEVER quite doubt his witty ability to weave a ragga verse together. And spit some real hard, raw Ragga vibes. And even with that borrowed Jamaican patois slang,He still managed to ensnare us. And grip us.

But dude,that was 2004! Switch the style,already!

Last Year,Redsan did a song with some Tanzanian artiste,Shaa. Shaa wasn’t so bad. Ok,lets face it,Shaa sounded like crap. And then it was Redsan’s turn to spit his lines. And boy,was it a whole load of more crap. Redsan was supposed to be the star of the song…He was supposed to have shone in that song. But he didn’t. Actually,He couldn’t. Not with that 2005 style. And that tired 2003 du-rag. Yaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwn.

And then he dropped yet another song with one of those Jamaican RiverRoad washups,Nadia. No,actually, she is Nyla. See?? She is so obsolete I cannot even tell what the F she is called.

Now,the song was kinda nice. The video was superb. Nyla wasnt so bad…But Redsan, again, did a mess. With that same same 2005 rap style. And those outdated Jamaican rhyme schemes. Brother,This is NOT Chagua La Teeniz anymore! We grew up. And moved on.

What happened to You??? What’s up with that suit?? And that ever-present durag?? Whats going on,Bro??

There are soooo many things You need to change! So damn many! Including collaborating with those same tusichna twa Jamaica. Just stop! And change! Or You will forever be where You are. Just there. Never going up. Ever Ever!

WYRE is another culprit. Yes,Yes,I know…I know…Wyre is good. Yap,I agree. But that sound?? Naaah.

Wyre raps the same in ALL his songs. ALL. He’s actually quite a sweet singer. Why doesn’t he sing often?? Nothing sounds as monotonous and boring and repetitive like a Wyre ragga verse.

Same style,same nuances,same lines,same rhyme scheme,same flow,same ka-sound. Yaaaaaaaawn.

I hear him on the “We Be Happening” Remix. And then I heard him on that other ka-song I totally forget. And boy, that was a waste of a verse.

Wyre is big, surely,he is. But that style is taking him nowhere. Nowhere. To reach the next level, acquire more fans,be updated and conquer more fields, that style MUST go. And that wardrobe, too! You are a celebrity,Not an Insurance salesman.

Wyre please!

And then we have NAZIZI…She was a good rapper. Actually, awesome rapper. What happened?? Why did this girl decide to foray into that takataka she calls Reggae music?? Oh Pliiiiiz!

Listen Up,Empress, those reggae vybes just aint doing it for You. They’re old. Infact, very old. You gotta dump them ASAP! The East African Bashment Crew is no longer a crew. And neither is it bashmenting anyone anymore. Stop that whole Shashamane vibe. Quit that whole Rita Marley thing. We’re NOT in Ethiopia.

And as for Your rap,Update it. Rap like its 2015! I heard Your latest rap song,OVER YOU,and unfortunately,,You still think its 2006. No,Baby Girl. It’s 10 Years down the line, already.

Update Your wardrobe, too. And oh,CONGRATS,for that new body.

See?? Just like You hit the gym to update Your body, that’s the same thing You should do with Your musical style. And rap verses…And lyrics. And accent of rap.

Even the worst Jamaican female ragga artiste doesn’t sound like this. You wanna play in a filed dominated with such powerful voices as Cecile,Alaine,Diamond,Tanya Stephens and J Capri?? Well, girl,You gotta work! HARD.

George Bush is NOT the US President anymore. I just though You should know.

Oh and then there is JUACALI. Poor fellow.

Juacali actually is still stuck in 2006. Totally stuck. Unable to ever ever ever move. It’s sad. And pitiable.

Juacali is still stuck in that 2006 hairstyle, that 2006 Calif Records t-shirt,that 2006 Genge lazy rap flow, that 2006 sheng and that 2006 vibe.

Jesus! Is there a way we can save this guy?? And very carefully drag him to 2015?? Where his rap style, his t-shirts,his corncrows, his vibe, his lyrics and rap flow are NO LONGER valid??

In one of Kanye West’s songs,GOOD LIFE,he raps,”50 told me go ‘head switch the style up,And if they hate then let ’em hate
And watch the money pile up, the good life…”

In very simple words,50 Cent told Kanye West,

“If You keep rapping the way You do,You will NEVER blow up,never go big, never make money and never reach new heights….”

And Kanye West heeded 50’s advice. And changed his style. Well, look at where he is now.

Octopizzo switched his style. So do MOG very now and then.

Redsan na wenzako, asiye sikia la mkuu……

Cons Use Socialite Huddah’s “Number” To Milk Money From Perverts.

Huddah is an angry woman as we speak, more like a scorned woman who the sages described as worse than the fury of hell, “Hell knows no fury than a woman scorned… ” Talking of scorned, a Nitwit, faced with the calamity and hard economic times has created a Facebook page with Huddah’s credentials and has been using it to solicit money from “perverts” who will would even  their souls to the devil for the swanky socilaite’s number-for what reason you ask?  You will be shocked at the level of pervasiveness in these men.

The men pay the agreed amount and the number is sent to them (probably via social media) They then start  texting the number (which is not even Huddah’s)  like:

Pervert X: Hi secy

               :*sexy

Huddah’s Impostor: Hae Xaxa, Who is Diz?

Pervert X: Ni Kevo Yure Mhandy….

: I am a Fun of you, Can I send You pix?

Huddah’s Impostor: First send me 200/= for pedicure

(blah blah blah )

Like a stupidly scripted play, the games run out, The guys sends photos of his nether regions to the impostor (who is probably a jobless 30 year old pot-bellied pedophile who still lives with his mother) The Impostor, upon receiving the photos starts making a  fuss about leaking the photos if he is not paid a said amount.

Afraid of his voyeuristic nature leaking to the inter webs:-the “xaxa’ texting, Jeans-sagging, acne-laden  teenager pays up, then vanishes (with a lesson learnt- stick to your lane)

The Impostor then moves on to another victim who is too dumb to believe the con.

This Is What Khaligraph Jones Did, Leaving Even Octopizzo’s Fans Nodding In Consent

Those who still think Khaligraph Jones has not reached his peak should reconsider their thoughts. This man is way beyond what we think he is.

No wonder his beef with seasoned entertainer and rapper Octopizzo is taken to another level. In fact when you see two artistes beef each other, know that their levels collide somewhere.

The moment Khaligraph took to the stage at the Sportpesa festival, he wowed the fans gathered to be entertained.

He marked his presence with lyrics that left everyone wondering when the rapper flew to the US to study rapping.

Then he did what was arguably his best live performance.

Flanked by fellow rapper Kristoff, the two took the crowds to another level with nice performances which not only marked their presence in the event but also their rise in the hip hop industry in Kenya.

What else will the fans want if the two keep up their game?

Here is how they did it:

2 Range Rovers, 2 BMWs, A Fleet Of Other Cars,100 Cows, 80 Goats, etc. Here Is The Story Of Uganda’s Jose Chameleone

There are stories we have never heard before. Stories well known to those who harbour them. But when they finally open up to tell us, they turn out to be the greatest stories ever told.

Ghafla Kenya has one for you. Now listen, Ugandan heartthrob Jose Chameleone is way beyond many of us’ leagues.

His is a different one. Chameleone swims in massive wealth. Speaking exclusively to Ghafla Kenya, the singer opened up about his cars, children, farming and wealth in general.

He has a number of cars to his name: two range rovers, two BMW convertibles, and a fleet of other cars. “Why all these Jose?”, our reporter asked.

“Honestly I regret having all these cars,” Jose confesses.

“Why?” That is the next question everyone would want to ask. But before our reporter asks, Jose continues, “No one would buy the cars from me if I wanted to sell them. Those who are able to buy the expensive cars would rather have them imported that buy them from me.

Chameleone owns a number of other property like apartments.

He however reveals his love for farming and says that he has more than 100 cows, 80 goats and so many rabbits. He also has more than 20k chicken.

Why love for farming Jose?

He posits:

Oh My God! Who Knew Pierra Makena Is This Talented? See What She Did Here

Call her actress Pierra Makena. Call her a businesswoman if you want. All these befit her but not as much as a Disc Jokey.

Pierra Makena is one of the most talented female DJs Kenya has ever produced.

The lass is a master behind the decks. You must trust me on this.

I used to hear of her genius but little did I believe those who gave me the story. Now the narrative has changed since last Saturday.

At the Sportpesa Festival at Canivore, DJ Joe Mfalme rocked the crowd with his mastery of the profession.

When DJ Pierra Makena took over, oh my, this chic did not disappoint either. She looked sexy on the decks. And then what she gave the crowds left mouths agape.

See how she did her thing here:

Sleepy, Fred Omondi, Dr. Ofweneke, Chipukizee, + Many Others to Headline The ‘All-Stars’ Crazy Mega Comedy Night. Limited Tickets

Stand-up comedy is hard! We are quick to criticize the comedians for their daily stale jokes, but the next time you are about to do that, have in mind it requires intelligence, speed of thought, memory and the ability to ride a successful tangent which ¾’s of us can hardly master in the click of fingers.

Rare is the comic these days who will make you laugh no matter what, the ‘All-Stars’ group is that stand-up. It’s a cocktail of all comedians Kenya could offer bringing an audience interactive humor. To headline this stand-up comedy night will be;

  • Chipukeezy
  • Karis
  • Sleepy
  • Dr. Ofweneke
  • Jalang’o
  • David the Student
  • Fred Omondi

Aside from these amazing comedians, there will be music from Kenya’s Crème de la Crème Dj. Shaffie Weru will also be in the house.

The outspoken Larry Madowo will be hosting.

See you at Hilton Hotel on the 14th of Feb, 2015 as from 6pm. Entrance is only 1,000 in which you get a free drink.

You can get your ticket at Hilton or call 0737 326 387 for reservation.

This Valentine’s Day, spruce up the love affair. Combine the two worlds of love and laughter all wrapped into one.

Before We Hate On Nigerian Artistes For Their Dominance Of Our Music Industry, Let’s Look At The Positives First…… Here Are Four Things Kenyan Artistes Can Easily Learn From Naija’s Stars

Nigerian artistes have colonized Africa’s airwaves for a while now. That‘s not even debatable. Here in Kenya, Nigerian music is even played more than or own. But before we hate, we must understand that there are several reasons for that.

I was in Nigeria two weeks ago and got the opportunity to study their culture. They are just like us. They don’t have better facilities and neither do they have better opportunities. In fact our country is better than theirs in so many aspects. So why are they beating us musically? It’s their strategy and planning. So what can Kenyan artistes learn from Nigerian artistes?

The magic of high BPM

Almost all Nigerian songs are produced with a high BPM (Beats Per Minute) That’s the reason why they are dance tunes and mega hits. When it comes to consumption of African music, people are fond of fast high tempo tracks that keep you going from start to finish. When jaguar and Sauti Sol decided to do high BPM tracks last year, look where it got them. One Centimeter is still rocking and Sura Yako is a a masterpiece. If maybe our artistes incorporate this element, things might change.

Language

Nigerian artistes have showed us that you don’t have to use international language for your music to diffuse through borders. Language is relative. In fact, music itself is a language.. Lingala lovers don’t even understand what Madillu, Franco, Koffi Olomide or Fally Ipupa say in their songs. ‘Gangnam Style’, one of the world’s greatest hits of our current decade was composed in a language that 99% of the human population didn’t understand

So let our artistes not force themselves to sound too international. We don’t know what ‘Gobe’ is and we don’t care. We don’t know what ‘Kukere’ is and neither do we know what ‘Ifunanya’ is. We aren’t interested in knowing too. The music is good so we dance. As the layman would say, “Kizungu sio mdomo yetu.” We are Africans. Let’s use our languages

caaaaalm

Unity

Artistes need to stay united in order for their art to mature and their voices to be heard. If all Kenyan artistes had a serious organization that represents them, for example, they could negotiate with the government for radio airtime. Almost every singer or rapper would be heard on radio. That’s what happens in Nigeria

In the populous West African country, there’s a law that states, 70% of all music played on radio and TV ought to be local music. The setting up of that law a few years back is what heralded the rise of Nigeria as a musical powerhouse. Nigerians have a national agenda to spread their culture through music. They invest adequately in their entertainment industry and they respect and support artistic talent. We should do the same.

Reaching out

Kenyan musicians should learn to compete positively in this capitalist environment and get our music to be played, heard and loved in Nigeria the same way we love theirs here. One major cause of disunity in Africa is the fallacy of separateness. Kenyans are worried about the influx of Nigerian music but nobody is worried about the continuous dominance of American music. Some local radio stations don’t even play Kenyan music

I saw the way Nigerians love Kenyans and I’m sure that if our music was appealing to them, they wouldn’t hesitate to play it. Nigeria is the biggest extension we can find not only for our music but for a total cultural exchange. Our artistes should reach out for more collabos just the way the oga brodas collaborate with artistes from all over the continent. I haven’t seen anyone trying to do a collabo with Diamond or Chameleone. Let’s do this

Is Gospel Singer Bahati Up To Something? Find Out Here

‘Bahati Tena’ is a phrase we normally associate with sensational gospel singer Bahati who has quickly rose through thick and thin to fame in the gospel industry in Kenya.

Whenever we hear Bahati Tena, we tend to think Bahati is at it again. With a brand new thing.

Well, we are not wrong anyway as the singer has used the phrase once again to throw us into speculation mood.

When I first saw this on Bahati’s Facebook wall, I sensed he is up to something. I picked a phone and called him to know what he is planning for 2015. Unfortunately, Bahati was off.

In his Insagram account, Bahati further hinted that indeed he is working on something for the fans.

Here is what he did:

In November, 2014, alongside other Kenyan’s, I was glued on the screen watching the epic tale of Pator Kanyari. The famous 310 pastor who could heal you and prophesize over your life with a little bit of push either from money or boobs, whatever you have, it’s okay, he’ll work on you!

Kanyari’s scandalous fame of conning the desperate had him on the run from all blood thirsty congregations; he just resurfaced the other day with a Skype interview that I stumbled upon. The chap talks about his tactics, his thirsty ways of grabbing and exposing nipples in church, and his genius ways of making money from a lesson we all ignored in Chemistry class, well, most of us.

However way we may take it, nigger be a genius!

K-Nel has recorded a Soundtrack to the mini film project titled “Hustle Kama Kanyari” which you can listen and download exclusively here on Ghafla; https://soundcloud.com/k-nel/k-nel-hustle-kama-kanyari-prod-by-pdubb

Do Not Own A Certificate Of Doom. Here Is a Full List of Universities, Polytechnics and Other Educational Institutions Legally Authorized To Operate in Kenya

All jokes aside, the fact that Nairobi Aviation College has been operating for 16 years without accreditation and no one even batted an eyelid till now is a bit scary and sad .

Especially for the students and parents who have invested a colossal amount of money to educate their children only to find out that the college they sent their kids to is not even accredited.

I honestly can understand why they felt angry and redirected their rage though wrongly to the Nation Media Group. There is nothing worse than finding out that the place where you put all your money, sweat and tears is fake. It’s devastating to say the least.

I do not condone what they did, their anger should have been towards the college who hoodwinked them and not the person, who informed them that they had been duped, as they say, do not kill the messenger.

Do Not Own A Certificate Of Doom. Here Is A Full List Of List Of Universities Legally Authorized To Operate in Our Country

This Is Why KTN Is Being Ridiculed On Social Media After Hosting Robert Alai

Just yesterday, controversial blogger Robert Alai was hosted by Sophia Wanuna on Morning Express to discuss pressing issues among them the Nairobi Aviation saga.

KTN managed to nail down Robert Alai and got him to shed light on his beef with Dennis Okari’s certificates of doom among many other things.

The interview KTN had with Alai was fair, nothing to raise eyebrows. What KTN did after the interview is what made Kenyans on social media mock them.

Deviating from its usual tradition of uploading an entire video as a single clip on YouTube, KTN decided to break down the interview with Alai into a cluster of 15 different short clips.

ktnn.jpg

Their action has made Kenyans on social media to say KTN is riding on Robert Alai’s name with the interview it conducted.

Below is a post on Social Media Kenya and some of the comments posted:

ktnnn1.jpg

Anyango Jowi: Hahahahahaaaa…

Francis Waithaka Kariuki: KTN brought Alai to discredit NTV?

Pancwise Gamgee: Give them a few more clicks Francis Waithaka Kariuki, to find out. Hehehehehehehe.

Eric Mugendi *gags*

Marrtn Martne: upus!

Louis Alosa: Hahaha, clever move.

Charles Kungu: clicks clicks and clicks you will get , its good for SMO however how relevant is the shared message.

Victor Ngeny: Same bollocks they do to the stories on their website…

See What Jaguar Did To Nigeria’s Iyanya After Accusing Him(Jaguar) Of Being Lazy

It is now evident that the beef between Jaguar and Iyanya is far from over as seen in the accusations and ridicule going on between the two.

It started off when Jaguar accused Iyanya of lack of respect for Kenyans after they remixed Jaguar’s One Centimetre song.

Iyanya hit back saying Jaguar is very lazy and was not ready to promote his song in Nigeria after the collabo for the remix.

As if that is not enough, Jaguar has now hit back over the ‘lazy’ claims, laughing loudly at Iyanya as he posted in his instagram account.

Jaguar

ja

when @iyanya says iam lazy…..

It seems the two heartthrobs will end up blowing each other if the beef continues.

Was Dennis Okari Paid To Finish Off Nairobi Aviation College? He Speaks Out

After the eye-opening expose on NTV last Sunday that tarnished the reputation and subsequently crushed the hopes and dreams of Students who learnt that they had been part of an elaborate scam, Dennis Okari’s credibility has been called into question.

Some say that Okari was allegedly paid to finish off NAC by Kilemi Mwiria, UAC and Nairobi Aviation competitors. He was the hatchet master.

Okari has however come out to deny these accusations, writing this: (Long Post Alert )

When we did #‎CertificatesOfDoom, we did so with full knowledge that there are thousands of other colleges and Universities subverting the education system through fraud.

We seem to agree almost in reverberation there is rot in our higher institutions of learning. Those who think that exposing more colleges and universities would have made the story more ‘acceptable’ are sweeping the truth under the carpet.

The strength of any Investigative story is centered on admissible evidence. What we had was Nairobi Aviation College. I wish we had more. (Don’t hesitate to reach me if you have evidence of malpractice where you are, we will do the story)

Someone rightly said, three men robbed a bank, only one was caught, is it injustice to expose him? Your guess is as good as mine.

ACCUSATION: I was paid by Kilemi Mwiria/Competitors/UAC.
They made me do the story? The lucid explanation to this, to ‘finish’ Nairobi Aviation College.

FACT: I don’t have a clue what UAC stands for. I don’t even know Kilemi Mwiria in person. There is no single proof connecting me to any organization or individuals or amount of money I was paid. The burden of proof lies with those raising these claims.

It’s interesting that ‘motive’ rather than Truth is being dragged along a mishmash of misunderstanding, gross exaggeration, falsified claims that are just plain wrong.

ACCUSATION: We paid fake lecturers to speak.

FACT: We have pay slips complete with PIN numbers and college stamps plus signatures, Employee names and numbers, appointment letters, staff meeting photos of the lecturers I spoke to. Before we started filming we had to verify their identities. All letters signed by the HR.

ACCUSATION: The people I interviewed are bitter because they were fired.

FACT: You will be surprised. One of them approached me because his faith cannot allow him to continue serving in a flawed system. His words not mine.

Dennis Okari

ACCUSATION: The certificates we bought are not from inside the school.

FACT: Our undercover student dealt with a man who works at Nairobi Aviation College. Pampula Ignatius whose elder brother is a senior principal in one of the campuses, received Ksh 4,000 through Mpesa. He is the one who proposed a meeting at a city hotel where he was given a down payment of Ksh 1,000 on 14/01/2015 at 1:47pm.

Six hours later he called our undercover student and the two met at another hotel where he delivered three documents.

a) A brand new original Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering
b) A leaving certificate (Date of issue 19th December, 2013) *Backdated
c) An Academic Transcript with 15 units with a ‘B’ Credit in Aeronautical Engineering.

He was paid the second installment Ksh 3,000.
Total Ksh 4,000. Everything was recorded on camera.

ACCUSATION: The documents we showed on TV are fake

FACT: We got them from the college or for argument sake an officer of the Nairobi Aviation stole copies from inside the college and sold them to us. They are genuine documents and we verified this. He is on record bragging how he has helped so many students across Nairobi Aviation campuses acquire the documents without setting foot in class.

Actually, another student from Nairobi Aviation College who had bought certificates from him gave our undercover student the number of the official.

FACT: Did we get a class 6 drop out to register as an Electricity and Electrical Engineering student? Yes we did, without any form of documentation.

He was registered after paying Ksh 7,200 on 13/01/2015 and was served by Mbula at 2:24 pm.
His fee included – Activity Fee = 1,000.00
College ID Fee = 300.00
Library Fee = 1,000.00
Magazine = 320.00
Registration Fee = 500.00
Stationery Fee = 880:00
Student Welfare Fund = 200.00
Tuition Fee = 3,000.00
TOTAL = 7,200

We have undercover footage of his first day in class with the first lesson, ‘Clinical thermometer’ on 16/01/2015 in the afternoon.

ACCUSATION: The college management said yesterday, the exam papers I claimed, as ‘Unmarked’ are fake. They don’t belong to the college.

FACT: We have stacks of exam papers from four departments that were never marked in the year 2012 and 2013 (End of year).

We have admission numbers, courses, subjects and series. We have the green question papers by Nairobi Aviation College Examination Board (NACEB) plus answers from students.

Lecturers graded the students based on their feelings and how they knew the students. I don’t think those students know they wasted time doing exams and they were never marked.

How did we get them? Lecturers from inside the college gave them to us.

ACCUSATION: We never gave the Nairobi Aviation a chance to respond.
FACT: Nothing can be further from the truth. The first person I phoned was the owner, Peter Manyuru on 28/01/2015 at 8:56am

Manyuru told me he was in Bungoma and referred me to a Mr Barasa. I met Barasa and a Mr Kemboi who agreed they’ve handled cases of certificates being given out to students through dubious means and they were shocked it was still going on. They admitted there have been cases of fake certificates connected to Nairobi Aviation. It’s so clear in the TV clip.

They were not aware I was secretly filming them. I requested for an interview but they kept taking me round in circles making endless phone calls. The 2 minute clip as seen in the story is part of over an hour of going back and forth. It was either an interview or something else. That’s the impression I got.

They agreed to call me at 6pm on 29/01/2015 to confirm the person I will interview. They failed to call as agreed. I tried reaching out to the officials including the owner of Nairobi Aviation but no one wanted to speak to me. I stayed at work waiting for them until 10:21pm when I sent them a text message pleading with them to arrange for an interview the following morning 30/01/2015. Time was running out and the final edit had a gap where I was to insert their response.

Mr Manyuru sent me a text at 11:23 pm saying he couldn’t speak to me because it was late. He promised to call the following morning.

30/01/2015 Mr Barasa called me at around 9:40am asking to meet him with no cameras. They didn’t want an interview and I will not speculate why, but it was clear I was not getting an interview.

The rest as they say is history but phone records and texts are evidence enough. I am told they went to court to get an injunction but i never saw it, I don’t even know who received it.

You want the truth? That’s the truth.

ACCUSATION: I have no pity for students at NAC
FACT: That’s why I did the story. The bigger picture is clear to those who can see it.

SO WHAT’S THE POINT

Nairobi Aviation has been operating without a Kenya Civil Aviation Authority accreditation for 16 years and no one bothered to check, yet they offer aviation courses.

When you pay over Ksh 300,000 to stay in class and spend hours studying for exams and someone just walks in and buys the same certificate you are struggling to get for Ksh 3,000. It should worry you.

It is painful for parents to break banks and give way for such institutions to gobble up their savings in greed. To detour off the path of those comfortable with the status quo, my conscious will not allow me.

Will I bury my head in the sand because every college and university cheats and I should leave everyone alone? A thousand times NO.

It was apparent the rot in Nairobi Aviation had to be unfurled by someone to conjure up a sober conversation.

When your institution is riddled with corruption and other vices, someone should expose it. That fight is ugly and involves sweat and blood but it should wake you up. Throwing stones at a building and causing chaos is only punching the air.

Of course I feel terrible for innocent students but two wrongs don’t make a right.
Students need to channel their outrage to the management. Ask the questions I would have asked and GET ANSWERS

REALITY: Nairobi Aviation Students Will Regret Storming And Stoning Nation Centre

Taking to the streets to demonstrate or protest or picket is always considered the last option after all avenues have failed to bear fruits. In fact demonstrations are a message that says, look, we have tried all possible means to solve this situation without success, so we resort to this: protesting.

NTV’s Dennis Okari went into depths to show Kenyans how people throng organizations with dished out certificates to look for employment opportunities even when they are sure they have never attended a single class. His case study was Nairobi Aviation College where he unraveled the mystery behind half-baked and incompetent personnel holding serious dockets in various organizations.

The expose, however, as it would turn out later, did not go down well with students from the institution. They advised themselves to face NTV head on, and so they did.

Monday morning we woke up to streets in Nairobi jammed with irate NAC students carrying twigs and other dangerous materials like stones, chanting names and calling NTV and particularly Dennis Okari all sorts of names, baying for his blood.

This was the first instance where the NAC students had just gone wrong. Why shoot the messenger when you have access to the accused? Directing their rage at NTV and Dennis Okari was the worst mistake an intellectual would ever do.

Dennis Okari

Okari had unraveled the rot going behind in NAC, a rot that would affect the students directly or indirectly.

Take this for instance. In the expose, Okari revealed how students graduated from the institution even when their exams had not been marked. I have been in college before and I used to hear that these things happen. Well, Okari just confirmed the grape vine that used to do round colleges.

Wasn’t this helpful to the students pursuing different courses in NAC and other institutions? Was Okari the right person to direct their anger to? Absolutely not. Instead of wasting time along Kimathi Street hurling stones at the giant Nation Centre building and harassing a journalist who came to cover the unfortunate event, the NAC students should have stormed their admin offices and demanded to know whether indeed their exams were not marked. They should have demanded for all the booklets to ascertain Okari’s claim.

That was the first case of what I will call misplaced anger directed to the wrong person. At the end of the day some of them were arrested and later arraigned in court where they were slapped with heavy cash bails. Kshs. 200,000 is an uphill task for a student and/or their parents.

Now the worse mistake that the students are likely to regret later is that they attacked a potential employer.

Nation Media Group and other organizations housed under Nation Center are potential employers for the students. Over time and again we have been told that do not cut a hand that feeds you or likely to feed you.

Nationcentre Sone

Stone thrown by NAC students hanging loosely on the window at Nation Centre

NAC students nipped the hand that is likely to feed them in the near future. Someone is already rubbishing my claims by saying that there are many potential employers. I know but look here, employers have the same voice all over. When you present your papers for employment sometimes later, they will definitely give you a promise that will never happen.

Stoning Nation Centre was the worst mistake that NAC students made. You are a journalist, an aspiring PR practitioner, a pilot, a business person or whatever you study in NAC and all you can do is throw stones in the heart of the capital. That is absolutely pathetic.

Energy wasted on useless and baseless engagements has never been recovered. I hope your potential employers are not reading this piece because it sounds so inciting.

Your management just confirmed the worst fears we had already developed when they released a memo full of literals. There is nothing like ‘roomers’ when you actually mean ‘rumors’.

Food for thought.

Larry Madowo Rubbishes Critics And Vows To Roast Alfred Keter Again. See The Unapologetic Message He Dispatched

NTV’s Larry Madowo has come out to speak about the ‘controversial’ interview he had with Alfred Keter and Sunjeev Birdi that got him criticized for lecturing the two.

Just because critics crucified Larry for conducting an interview ‘unprofessionally’ doesn’t mean he would apologise for it, as a matter of fact, Larry has vowed to do the same if given another chance to interview the two legislators.

Also read: Larry Madowo’s Personal Attack On Alfred Keter And Sonia Birdi Was Totally Uncalled For. This is Why

In an article he wrote on Daily Nation, Larry Madowo categorically said his critics overlooked the real issue and instead focussed on how he conducted the interview.

Larry defended his tactic of ‘grilling’ the two legislators saying his intention was to challenge viewers and provide them with a helpful analysis.

“My intention with the hard news interviews has always been to challenge viewers, make them a little uncomfortable with what they believe, to inform them and provide helpful analysis or context on why they should care about whatever subject we’re covering.” Wrote Larry.

He however made it crystal clear he wouldn’t be changing his strategy in conducting interviews saying viewers should get used to it.

“If I could do that Alfred Keter interview again, I would do it exactly the same way I did it before. You’re just going to have to get used to that.” Larry noted.

Janet Mbugua’s Younger Brother, Kelvin Gets Married.

Last Week, Janet Mbugua posted a photo of the outfit she was planning to don for the weekend, at first I was taken aback, and I thought to myself… (What a wonderful world) But then again I refused to allow  curiosity take the best of me, for a moment I even thought that the mellow-voiced, baby-faced queen of Tv was getting married without a ceremony!

Fastforward and the weekend was upon us, Janet wore a short elegant dress and completed it with a mini- birdcage veil that was lopsided at the side of face from her hair. She looked like the perfect bride dressed in all white.

Her Brother Kelvin Mbugua was getting married to his “Mzungu”  bride  on Saturday at a private wedding. Happy for her brother, Janet Mbugua would share a few photos from the wedding on her instagram account.

To the Just married Couple :We wish you bliss, we wish you love, and the best that only love can bring, may you live long enough to celebrate countless Anniversaries and celebrate in the little joys that life brings forth.

Now to the main point, was Janet’s dressing up a pre-cursor of her incoming wedding?  It is only fair that the oldest sibling gets married first, and for the mbugua’s, Janet may be next. She already seems a little excited by the idea of a wedding.. But I am Speculating, only time will tell.

Marketers have been urged to tap the continuing rise in potential of East African economies for their organizations by tapping existing opportunities in the digital space.

The Digital Fair CEO, Mr Martin Muli, says the growing pool of talent in digital and mobile marketing space in the region offers companies opportunities for effective sales campaigns and revenue conversions.

“The changing marketing and media opportunities require marketers to evolve themselves and stay ahead of the market, while ensuring they remain relevant and competitive,” says Muli who is also the organizer of the annual Social Media Awards (SOMA).

Muli made the remarks ahead of the East Africa Digital Marketing Summit and Show set for Nairobi in April.

The event which will bring together key players in the digital marketing space from the region will give marketers opportunity to sample out latest digital media and communications applications.

More than 50 exhibitors from East Africa will participate in the summit themed Digital for effective marketing communication, which will include panel discussions by leading techies and marketers.

Topics to be explored during the summit include digital marketing global trends versus regional reality, emerging mobile technologies and trends, cyber security and management, the digital landscape: content generation and distribution and efficient digital gadgets for marketers.

The event is designed to bring together different providers of digital products and services under one roof to showcase their offering to marketers.

“The exhibitors will showcase the latest digital trends and engage marketers from different organizations. Digital solutions offer marketers limitless opportunities to accelerate growth of their brands,” says Muli.

The Summit whose inaugural event was held last year has been expanded to cover the East African region and will be held at the Kenyatta International Conference Center (KICC).

The exhibitors will include mobile service providers, software developers, mobile phones manufacturers, social media marketing agencies, web consulting services, digital branding agencies, e-commerce companies, advertising agencies and media houses.

Comedian Jalang’o Reveals The Girl He Dearly Loves

It Is always very rare to see celebrities flaunt the people they love dearly and can do anything for. This perhaps is so because they are public figures who every day try to avoid courting controversy.

However, Radio Maisha’s Jalang’o is not stooping into that category. He is willing to flaunt what he cherishes and he is willing to tell the world how much he can love.

Jalang’o has flaunted KBC and Sauti Sol’s public relations officer Anyikwo, and said sweet words about her, confessing how he feels happy every time it hits him that Anyikwo exists.

Through his social media media account Jalang’o said:

Jalangoo

This Is The Hilarious Memo Released By Nairobi Aviation College Management

After the infamous expose by NTV’s Dennis Okari, Certificates of Doom, which showed how people got certificates from Nairobi Aviation College by parting with only Kshs.3000 without attending even a single class, students from the institution took to the streets of Nairobi City to protest the expose.

They specifically stormed Nation Centre, a building that houses NTV, and hurled stones to the building, breaking glasses and destroying property.

Police later came to cool the situation and more than 15 of them were arrested and taken to Central Police Station.

As this happened, the Nairobi Aviation College management released a memo showing the next move after the protests.

The memo which was widely publicised had typos which made the public doubt the institution even more.

This is the memo that left many talking and wondering whether the management is made of qualified people:

Here Is The Evidence To Prove Brenda Wairimu And Daniel Weke Are Partners In Crime

Brenda Wairimu and Brian Weke are probably the two most famous faces on local casts today. Even so, they have turned out to be partners in crime.

You will be surprised to know Brenda Wairimu and Brian Weke not only use deception to rob their victims, but they are also muggers.

Yes, despite the two being widely known to have mild temperament, they were given the role of cold-blooded criminals in their new movie, the Nairobian.

The Nairobian is a movie which I will call the perfection and continuation of blockbuster, Nairobi Half Life. The same producers who brought you Nairobi Half Life are bringing you the Nairobian.

Some common faces in Nairobi Half Life are also playing lead roles in the Nairobian. Having perfectly blended in the cast of Mali, Brenda and Daniel have proved to be the ideal actor and actress to feature in the Nairobian.

For all those used to their ‘soft’ side, check out the trailer of the Nairobian below to see how the two are actively engaged in all sorts of crime.
