Accessibility simply means, less lost sales for entrepreneurs. If it is a site that requires entrepreneurs to post a photo of what they are selling, the photo should be professional and visible. In addition to this, it is essential to offer the best level of service possible because this is what will keep customers coming back. Simply put, when you make your customers happy, it will make you even happier. For example, reassuring customers that they can get a refund if they are not satisfied with the product works wonders.

Patience. Do not give up too soon, giving up might cost you great business opportunities. Whoever came up with the phrase patience pays must have been literally thinking of the money.

A few years ago, Citizen TV’s Lulu Hassan broke many admirers’ hearts when she walked down the isle with Q FM’s Rashid Abdalla, effectively telling the world that she was no longer available.

And since then, the two celebrities have been glued together like timber, leaving very little room for speculation and gossip.

Perhaps theirs could be likened to that between Wahu and Nameless. They are a celebrity couple that many would want to emulate.

On our screens they crack our ribs with fine comedy. They are arguably the best comedians after the likes of Eric Omondi hang their boots on the Churchill Show.

But behind the scenes and their public life, there lies a conflict that has seen comedian YY come out to accuse his compatriot and brother to Eric Omondi, Fred Omondi, of not only being immature but also a girlfriend snatcher.

In an exclusive chat with Ghafla Kenya, YY has accused Fred Omondi of soliciting phone numbers from his (YY) girlfriends and later on seducing them.

The comedian says that Fred has done this more than once and it is time he felt he should tell the world who Fred really is.

YY went ahead to even table evidence to show that he meant every word that he minced. The comedian has called his colleague immature and a girlfriend snatcher. Below is a screenshot of one of his girlfriends demanding money from Fred Omondi.

He did not stop there. YY went ahead to say that Fred always feels insecure every time he is with his girlfriend and he always dumps his girlfriends whenever they speak to other men.

Ghafla! Kenya sought to hear from Fred himself and therefore we made a call to ascertain what is really happening.

On hearing what his colleague in the comedy industry had to say, Fred was raged that YY could all the way to taint his name in the public domain.

“That is a lie, I have never snatched a girlfriend from YY. He is lying and he knows that,” Fred furiously said.

The comedian went ahead to narrate how YY was trying to pick beef that never existed and said that the whole country knows his (Fred) fiancée who he loves dearly.

Fred revealed that he has no problem with YY but if he has chosen to go that way it is his own problem.

“YY brings her girls to my house always but I have never asked for their numbers. Instead they ask for my number as a celeb and perhaps that is why he thinks I am snatching them away from him,” Fred said.

“You don’t bring your girls to my house and expect me not to talk to them,” Fred says.

His brother Eric who was standing by during our conversation was equally perplexed by YY’s accusations. He advised that YY concentrate more on things that will bring him glory and not petty issues like girlfriends.

Lately, the media industry has been criticized heavily for stooping too low and abandoning the guidelines that journalists should follow to make the profession a respectable one.

Kenyans in particular have been at logger heads with the media because of the manner in which it is disseminating its content. Many say it is partisan and one sided, and all this is the cause of journalists like veterans Swaleh Mdoe , Mwanahamisi Hamadi and many others.

In a new twist of events, Citizen TV has been locked with a mega scam that has threatened to bring it down completely.

This explains why the RMS-owned TV station has swiftly moved to suspend its top cream as it ventures into investigations that the celebrated journalists colluded with a prominent politician to kill a negative story almost a month ago.

Swaleh Mdoe, Mwanahamisi Hamadi, Shisia Wasilwa, Kimeli Arap Kemei, Yusuf Ali and several others have been indefinitely suspended after it was established that they received money from a prominent Nairobi politician to kill a story about him.

The politician is said to have channeled the money to the journalists who then killed the story even after it had run in the highlights.

The politician is said to have been involved in an altercation in the recently concluded Kajiado by-elections and later on abused journalists covering the event, promising them that the story would never run.

And true to his word, the story never ran as the likes of Swaleh Mdoe and Mwanahamisi Hamadi who are Swahili editors at Citizen, alongside video editors Mumbi and Lilian and celebrated reporters Sishia Wasilwa, Yusuf Ali and Kimeli Arap Kemei among others received some bribe from the politician to kill the story.

The latest development has greatly threatened to bring down Citizen TV which is gradually losing its ground on major TV stations in the country thanks to the newsroom politics taking toll on majority of its journalists and the management.

Our reliable source tells us that the journalists have been suspended for 10 days pending investigations and if found guilty they will effectively lose their jobs.

Meanwhile, for the next 10 days, Kanze Dena and Lulu Hassan, who mostly appear on TV on weekends, will be in charge of the Citizen Nipashe news.

Ghafla Kenya reached out to Swaleh Mdoe through his phone number but upon posing the question, Swaleh quickly said he is in a meeting and will get back to us in 20 minutes. It is now almost an hour and our attempts to get back to him have proved futile.

It was a relationship from the devil, says the funny Churchill show comedian. The only thing she cared for during the short 2 months we dated was money, herself and money! It is for this reason that I left her and ran for the hills before she made an example of me! 

 YY is a sad man, on Friday We shared photos of him and his girlfriend in an article that smelled of the essence of moonlight, roses and stardust which you can familiarize yourself with here 

According to YY, the girl we purported was his, is  gold digger au naturale -like nothing he had seen before. She was constantly asking for money and had an insatiable appetite  for the fine things in life which she couldn’t afford anyway. However, one lucky morning as they slept, the girl received a phone call which turned to be an argument with the person on the other end. After the call the girl made an excuse saying that she was needed by her aunt at Ruaka and was therefore leaving and would hook up with the comedian later.  

YY pretended to be asleep as the girl left though he sensed that a lot was amiss from the tone of her voice , from his bedroom window he saw her get into a car that sped off immediately,He didn’t even lock the door,  he followed her to Ruaka making sure that he never lost the sight of the car ahead of him. After an argument ensued at Ruaka with the said man, YY sought to help resolve the conflict by introducing himself, little did he know that the man with whom he stood on the same ground with was a partner of his.  The man who looked 60-ish was making a fuss of how he had paid diligently through his nose only to receive the “cookie” intermittently- he was so unhappy that he terminated the whole agreement leaving the girl stranded as YY made his exit, heartbroken to the core. 

Careful inquiry reveals that the said girl had gone back to her single room In Ngara where she stays waiting for her next client. We have no Idea who pays her School fees now. YY is happy to have realized this sooner than  later. He says that the only thing he needs in his life is a manual to understand women. She even went ahead to involve herself with a fellow comedian whom she used to receive money from claimed YY.

The Caro hit maker was hosted by Lilian Muli on her One on One show last Friday evening and as the interview progressed LAX admitted that he had finally found his Caro whom he famously sang with Wizkid in their hit song that has since received massive airplay in Kenya and beyond.

When Lilian asked LAX whether he had found his Caro whom he has been looking for since releasing the hit, LAX simply said yes and went on to tell Lilian that she was his Caro.

K24 anchor, Jamila Mbugua, celebrated her birthday last Saturday and she did the unexpected; revealed her age.

Looking at her, how old do you think she is? Ask me and I would say 28 or maybe 30 years. But that’s not the case, she is three years shy to clock 40.

Yes, last Saturday Jamila celebrated her 37^th birthday and she proudly disclosed how old she was.

On Saturday  high-school students got a chance at advancing their dreams in yet another edition of Dreams come true, a platform registered under the  department of Culture and social services that aims at  nurturing talent in young people by offering them a platform where they showcase their ability. The catch is that the organisation , “dreams come  true” rewards overall winners handsomely. 

 Winners, 7 per school had their school fees paid for 2 terms. The top 3 winners got their partial school fees paid for their entire school life. The mode of paying school fees was based on performance of the individuals, where if the student performed dismally, their scholarship was transferred to the top student within the school temporarily until the student  regained his/her  performance. 

I talked to Jimmy K, the powerhouse behind the program and he expressed his hopes on the program and was happy that the program had been taken up positively by the participating schools. At the event which was held at the Catholic University, various students who had won scholarships had come to fill forms that would see their school fees being paid for. 

Various students from different schools participated in showing their talent in: Fashion, modeling, artistry, singing among others. In a nutshell, this is how the event went down. 

South Africa has made headlines lately for all the wrong reasons after some of its native citizens rose against foreigners residing and doing businesses there, killing them and destroying their property in what has been widely termed as xenophobic killings.

Many have aired their displeasure at the killings and harassing of nationals, with other countries like Malawi resorting to repatriating their nationals from the violence prone country.

And now one of Kenya’s finest scholars has chipped in to air his displeasure at the mistreatment the nationals are receiving in South Africa.

PLO Lumumba has ignited a debate once again amongst many Kenyans after one of the most complicated and jargon-filled statements emerged on the social media, showing PLO’s displeasure at the killings.

The statement has left many hanging thanks to its ambiguity and the jargon it is clearly portraying.

While many have admitted they have no clue what PLO is exactly saying, others have resorted to their trusted dictionaries only to be frustrated further because some of the words he has used are not available.

Even in this era of new constitution, the police are still exercising their brutality on members of the fourth estate. Last week, two journalists faced the music when animal instinct sent GSU officers to attack them.

Citizen TV and NTV journalists last Saturday suffered savagery at the hands of law enforcement officers while on line of duty.

The two, Nehemiah Okwembah (Nation journalist) and Rueben Ogachi (Citizen TV cameraman) had travelled to Tana River County to check on locals who had claimed to be attacked by the same GSU officers.

GSU officers reportedly descended on the two with their assault weapons while they were interviewing locals who complained that the officers drove away 200 of their cattle for allegedly trespassing into the expansive Galana Ranch.

Tana River’s Communication official, Ali Wario, political advisor to Tana River governor and a driver were also not spared during the GSU assault.

The two journalists suffered serious injuries during the heinous incident, they were ferried to Mombasa by Kenya Red Cross for treatment.

Barely 5 months after landing her services, NTV is going back to the drawing board to find a replacement for one of its finest talents after the news anchor sensationally quit over the weekend.

Yvonne Maingey was one of the best faces to ever grace our TV screens lately, but it seems her services at NTV are no longer available after the lass sensationally revealed that she is quitting NTV to pursue her PHD studies.

In a twitter post, Yvonne broke the news to many people’s consternation, with her colleagues seemingly looking worried with her untimely and sudden departure.

She was among the fresh group that NTV recruited and her appearance alongside Trevor Ombicha and Gladys Gachanja was highly publicized in a promo ran by NTV for close to a month.

Yvonne proved her worth immediately with her mastery of the Queen’s language and has since established herself as one of the finest news readers of our time.

The Jamaican government has invited Buddha Blaze, renowned Kenyan music promoter and Coke Studio Africa Artists manager to talk about at the ongoing 2015 Califorum EU Business Forum conference (Montago Bay, Jamaica).

 He was invited at the conference alongside David Sanders – the Executive Producer of Coke Studio Africa.
 
What do artists and entertainers in Kenya and around Africa know about opportunities and strategies for market penetration in Africa? That’s exactly what he addressed. Blaze is also the Chief Executive Officer of Spark Africa Ltd and director at First Contact Management, is the only Kenyan invited to give a talk at the conference. The Nigerian heartthrob is part of the cast for a soap drama series, Santalal, which airs on Citizen TV on Wednesday nights after 7 o’clock news.

The actor vied for Surulere parliamentary seat in the concluded Nigerian elections on All Progressive Congress (APC) ticket. He garnered 23,141 votes defeating his closest rival who came a distant second with 12,546 votes.

Desmond stars in the Kenyan soap drama series alongside big names like; Gerald Langiri, Lydia Gitau, Innocent Njuguna, Blessing Lungaho, Collins Likavu among others.

Santalal is a love story set in the beautiful Maasai land in Kenya. It follows the life of a city doctor who is recruited by her sketchy uncle to go work in a rural village that is beyond everything she is used to. Desmond plays the role of a prospecting investor interested in striking deals with a county official.

Guess his role in the cast might be terminated now that he is a legislator committed to serving his people in Nigeria. Or will he still find time to fly to Kenya to feature in the TV series?
