After Emmanuel Adebayor, Huddah Monroe Now Leans On Jose Chameleone’s Shoulder

It was just the other day when Huddah Monroe, Kenya’s self-proclaimed boss of all chics, shared to the world photos of herself having sweet moments in Paris, France.

It started with a visit to the world’s largest church building where she recited the Lord’s prayer from and then those sweet moments with former Arsenal, Manchester City and now Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor in a Paris hotel.

But this is not the only celebrity Huddah has been seen hanging out with.

As she herself claims, Huddah gets what she wants at the time she wants it and how she wants that particular thing.

Perhaps it is this belief which drives her to spend nice moments with celebrities across the globe.

After Adebayor, Huddah is now leaning on Uganda and East Africa’s veteran and finest singer Chameleone’s shoulders.

Chameleone himself has shared a photo where Huddah is seen enjoying the support she gets from the singer with a caption below it saying:

jchameleoneLife can be a Gimmick if its MAGIC. It Must be real if it’s REAL.Waste no time, Love yourself and that will inspire your friends to love you even more. @maishasuperstar 2015:::::::Good morning, Good afternoon,Good Evening and Goodnight #Fam#StressFree

Well, Chameleone has made frequent visits to the country where he is part of the team behind the Maisha Superstar reality show. It is here that they met with Huddah and spent quality time together.

Huu Mwaka Really Belongs To Jaguar! See What He Is Up To With Olympics Silver Medalist Catherine Ndereba In The US (Photo)

When Jaguar declared he must score big this year, he wasn’t just doing it to find rhyming lyrics for his latest hit, he meant his words.

“Lazima huu mwaka niwashangaze…”Those are the first words you hear Jaguar utter in the first verse of his hit ‘Huu Mwaka.’ Well, the flamboyant singer just did that or rather he has been doing that.

Jaguar flew to the States alongside marathon great, Catherine Ndereba. The two will be attending the 2015 edition of Boston Marathon.

Catharine was the first woman to win Boston Marathon a record four time. She commands admiration from all over the globe for her impressive work on the track.

They left the country a little bit early, there are still four days remaining till the d-day. I heard Boston hotels aren’t cheap.

Oh! I almost forgot, Catharine has also retired from competitive marathon. That means the two will only be active spectators during the race. Gosh! Did Jaguar just fly across the Atlantic to attend a marathon??? Thought it was football. I told you, he said ‘Huu mwaka lazima niwashangaze’

Stop Calling Me Names, Kidero Warns Nairobi Residents As He Gives In To Pressure And Opens Roundabouts…But Why For Only 3 Days?

It has been a week of madness after traffic snarl ups in the city stretched up as far as Mlolongo on Mombasa Road, Limuru on Waiyaki and other places in the capital.

All this was thanks to the Nairobi County government’s decision to dismantle all roundabouts in major roads in the city in a move aimed at decongesting the city and easing up traffic.

Little did Kidero, the Nairobi County Governor, know that this move would greatly backfire as traffic piled, forcing commuters and drivers to cry foul and launch scathing complaints at the governor.

And after a week of pressure and abuses, Kidero finally gave in and started getting rid of his drums he had erected to block the roundabouts.

The return of the roundabouts had been instigated by the campaign #Kiderotakeawayyourdreams which had been started on social media to blast the governor for creating traffic jams in the name of easing them.

traffic

The governor said that they had reached the decision to open the blocked roundabouts because the Southern by-pass mostly used by trucks had been closed for rehabilitation.

But hold on. Do you know how long this will last? Well, Kidero says he has opened the roundabouts for only 3 days as he promises to close them after the by-pass is opened.

And by the way it is only the Bunyala Road and Lusaka Road roundabouts that have been opened. Westlands roundabout is still blocked.

The Governor has also urged residence to avoid name calling and abuses and encouraged constructive criticism that will help the city.

He said:

The grand plan that was released early this month to have five main roundabouts replaced with signalised intersections has not been abandoned. We are just reviewing strategy and tweaking plans, therefore, the plan for decongestion will not be abandoned. Once the work on the Southern bypass to make it motorable is completed by Friday the roundabouts will be closed. Trucks will not be allowed through the city via Uhuru highway. This will reduce traffic by 30%. Work on removing the roundabouts and putting in the relevant installations will begin in 10 days. We need more discipline and patience on our roads for us to achieve the traffic flow we all desire. Name calling and course language will not help the cause, constructive recommendations are welcome!

Well, do not celebrate yet. We have to wait and see if the governor means what he says.

Maisha Superstar Show Enters Elimination Stage.

It was a mixture of joy, pain, disbelief and a sigh of relief when Maisha Superstar Reality TV show finally entered the elimination stage where Ugandan Rookie Richy Kaweesa became the first rookie to be sent home.

The tenth episode of the hugely popular reality TV show airing on Maisha Magic Channel 161 on DStv every Monday at 8.00pm was filled with awe and glamor as each of the six Rookies coached by six of the best East Africa’s music celebrity mentors took to the Maisha Superstar stage to outdo each other with hopes of qualifying to the next round.

The studio audience was full of excitement when the glamorous Maisha Superstar Show host Amina Abdi emerged on stage to introduce the day’s judges and contestants.  The judging panel whose total votes amounts to 70 percent comprised Nazizi and Edward Kwach as permanent judges, Ugandan TV and Radio Host Monique Kabuye, Tanzanian Radio personality Tina Korosso, Talent Manager David Muriithi and Music Producer Victor Seii coming in as guest judges for the week.

When it came to the turn of the Rookies to take to the stage, the atmosphere in the well-designed studio quickly turned electric as each of the well groomed upcoming stars engaged the audience and judges to melodious original own compositions with some of the Rookies going as far as including high school vocalists to perform the chorus. Rabbit’s Rookie Phy presented a nursery school rhyme Dance to the bush baby with two young girls coming in as her supporting dancers.

Star Rookie Fil-ah did a wonderful own composition bordering on African jazz fully supported by a group of school boys whose melodramatic chorus left the audience screaming for more action. Tanzanian Rookie Damian Soul set the stage alight receiving a thunderous applaud from the studio audience after performing a Kiswahili own composition that earned him a whopping 94 points from both the audience and the judges.

Damian Soul’s fellow Tanzanian Rookie Myra gave a stunning performance that drew tears from her mentor Shaa who became emotional while expressing her joy with the outcome of her rookie who was once a shy lady who could neither perform before cameras nor in front of a crowd.

The night also saw rousing performances from Ugandan Rookies Spirit Soul and Richy Kaweesa.  At the end of the sterling acts, a decision had to be made on who was to go home. Soft voiced Maurice Kirya of Uganda became the first casualty when his rookie Richy Kaweesa had to be sent packing after receiving the least accumulative scores in the first elimination in the episode which saw popular Kenyan Rookie Phy dropping points after leading the table for three weeks consecutively.

The five remaining rookies now proceed to the 11th episode to air next week Monday where more of them will be eliminated to pave way for the ultimate winner who will walk away with a recording deal and a cash prize of Ksh 1.2 million on Monday May 1st 2015.

After Kenyans Made Fun Of Her Ashen Acne-Laden Face, Popular Songstress’s Face Gives Her A Job

A section of evil minded Kenyans vilified Avril a few months back when she posted a photo of herself without makeup. Her face looked like nothing we’d seen before, the yellow yellow we are accustomed to is as a result of a talented make-up artist who had turned her into a masterpiece that we’d fallen in love with…. The Avril without make up was not really, that appealing. She came back strongly against people who bullied her on social media. Spoke at length on what she felt was  inappropriate for people to judge others on the bases  of situations they can’t control. That has given her a job

Avril was on Friday named the spokesperson for the I Am Beautiful campaign. I am beautiful campaign seeks to help women realize that they are beautiful. In this day and age, women are being criticized for almost everything. The society and the media are telling them how they should look and dress in order to be accepted. It aims to show girls and women they are valued, respected and beautiful just the way they are. To teach them how to enhance their confidence through good grooming, safe beauty and skin care routines without permanently altering the way they look. Take away their low self-esteem, and give them a whole lot of confidence!

Avril was chosen as the campaign’s spokesperson because she is the image of strength of a woman. Due to her position in the public eye, she understands the lengths to which women go through to achieve perfection to fit in to society. Sharing her story, will give strength to other women and help them realize that they are beautiful. “It’s inspiring. Every woman wants to feel beautiful and be told that they are beautiful. Not to be told what to change about themselves. I am humbled to be part of I am Beautiful because I know the pain of being told that I don’t look the part and being self conscious about things other people look at as flaws.

Girls need to know they are fearfully and wonderfully made and to never forget it,” said Avril. If a woman feels beautiful she can do anything, she can conquer the world. Sadly, people tend to use beauty to put women down. They call them all sorts of names to degrade them.  If we could make our women look and feel beautiful, they can achieve anything.

10 Celebrities That Were Raised In Kibera Slum. Johnson Mwakazi And Octopizzo Lead The Line (Photos)

It’s the largest urban slum in the entire African continent. Kibera is estimated to be housing 200,000 to 1 million people; among them are popular celebrities who make headlines in the country.

In as much as slums are associated with all kinds of evil in society, there are celebrities who have spent the better part of their lives there, rising to positions of prominence and defying all the stereotypes associated with informal settlements.

Life in the slum is no joke, seeing these news makers breaking free from the chains of poverty in Kibera to curve a niche for themselves in their respective haven calls for a standing ovation.

                                               Johnston Mwakazi

kib.Mwakazi.jpg

On top of the list is former Citizen TV news anchor, Johnston Mwakazi.  The revered anchor spent most of his time as a youth in Kibera. He has never been ashamed to narrate the kind of life he lived in the slum. (Will be proud to tell you his whole story next time.)

                                                                        Octopizzo

kib._octopizzo.jpg

Perhaps he is the finest export to ever come out of Kibera. To date, Octopizzo is still very proud of his hood. All of his names have something to do with Kibera in one way or another. The name ‘Octopizzo’ and ‘Namba Nane’ resonates with his former hood. ‘Octopizzo’ (Octopus) has eight tentacles, the figure represent the route number used by Kibera’s Matatus (So is the name Namba Nane.) Octo is also one of the finest rappers the country has ever had, whenever he takes the stage, you can be sure Kibera will be well represented.

                                                                     Larry Asego

kib._larry.jpg

Classic FM’s Larry Asego is also one of Kibera’s exports. The renowned presenter called the slum home for a long time before he found his way to the City’s leafy suburb. He too has never hidden the fact that part of his life was shaped by Kibera.

                                                         Abel Mutua

kib._abel.jpg

Did you know Abel Mutua once lived in Kibera? Well, the Hapa Kule News star hasn’t been very vocal about his life at the slum. Sources told Ghafla! Abel lived in Karanja area of Kibera. (His family still lives there.) Abel reportedly moved out of Kibera when he tied the knot to the lover of his life.

                                             Robert Agengo

kib._agengo.jpg

Former Mali actor, Robert Ageng’o was also brought up in Kibera before he crossed the border to seek cleaner air to breath. Though his face might not be familiar to many, the actor has casted for popular TV series namely; Makutano Junction, Mnet’s Kona among many other plays.

                                                              Kriss Darling

Renowned Reggae DJ, Kris Darling, was not only brought up in Kibera, he still lives there up to date. Unlike other celebrities who moved out of Kibera when they made it, Kriss has been reluctant to change his hood. He even owns a bar at Ayany in Kibera. By the way, the pretty lady he was tirelessly pursuing during his teenage days still lives there, Ayany U-17. Kriss has also married Dennis Oliech’s sister plus he drives a high-end BMW.

                                         Dennis Oliech

Talking of Oliech, he too lived in the country’s largest slum. His talent saw him kick poverty out of the way. Oliech was proudly representing Kibera on the international stage before he was met with numerous controversies that smeared dirt on his CV making him ‘irrelevant’.

                                            Smart Joker

KIB._SM.jpg

After Octo, former Churchill Show comedian, Smart Joker, is the next proudest celebrity to have come out of Kibera. He sufficiently represented the Ghetto during his heydays at Churchill. (He never forgot to mention his hood while on stage.)

                                                                            Lavin Asego

kib._lavin_asego.jpg

Kibera is delighted to have Lavin Asego represent it in rugby. Yes, Lavin and Larry are siblings (In case you are wondering.) Lavin was brought up in Ayany, Kibera just like his brother. The mother still lives there till now.

                                                                        Edwin Lavatsa

kib._lavatsa.jpg

Last but not least is former Gor Mahia’s striker Edwin Lavatsa. The football player who currently plays his professional football in Algeria can also be traced among the celebrities who once dwelled in Kibera. There are many footballers who still call Kibera home but Lavatsa is the most popular figure of them all.

There you go, which celeb do you think we left out? Put your comment below and we will include them as well.

Citizen TV’s Robert Burale Opens Up About His Failed Marriage. Never Has a Celeb Opened Up Like This Before

When a marriage fails, many people are afraid of opening up about it. But not Robert Burale whom you know from Fashion Watch.

He opens up about his marriage of about one year and offers some advice on marriage. Here is his post:

robert_byrale.jpg

ITS TIME..many people ask me “RB how come we don’t see you posting photos of your wife?” There comes a time one has to be naked and unashamed. Well I got married in 2012 and after exactly one year and two days my marriage collapsed. I felt like the biggest failure. A worthless man. A let down to society. Was I judged ? Yes some so called CHRISTIAN marriage counsellors gossiped me as if I had leprosy. Yes..being a public figure and a minister of the gospel made it more difficult. Due to my public life and also the fact that I was married to a public figure… None of us had the privilege to process this privately. Did some tell me I am not fit to even preach the gospel ? Oh yes the undertones were there. Ladies and gentlemen I want to encourage someone out there. You may have failed big time but we serve a God who will NEVER LEAVE NO FORSAKE YOU. Get up and dust yourself .

Out of my failure God has and will continue using me by His grace. Ironically through this I have been used to counsel marriages. (This God has a sense of humour eh). A product of EXTREME GRACE
My last Words ..MARRIAGE IS GOOD. VERY GOOD..let’s take time today and pray for marriages.

Agwatta became a household name in Kenya while he was doing renditions of almost all hits in his Gusii dialect. Even though his renditions were in vernacular, he won the hearts of many just by his unique style of singing.

The most popular rendition that put him on limelight was ‘Ashawo’. (Originally sang by Nigeria’s Flavour). Following the success, Agwatta soon released other renditions that sealed his name on the wall of fame.

The singer has since been silent with his renditions; his whereabouts remained unknown till now. He was busy engaging himself in other genre of arts.

Agwatta has written and directed two plays for Elimu Academy and Nairobi Primary. The two plays were screened in Nakuru at the Drama Festivals today. He is also the defending champion for a record four straight years.

Plays aside, the rendition guru also directed a couple of movies, namely; Double Cross, Time, Maya among others.

Agwatta’s name has certainly been written on history books for his role in plays that won awards for four years.

Over the past weekend, one of Kenya’s finest DJs, Pierra Makena, celebrated her birthday as she turned another year older. Those who attended the birthday bash say it was one of the best though there were some shortages, something that is normal in almost all situations.

Pierra, as we all know, is to date the most celebrated female DJ in Kenya and beyond. She has always moved the masses with her wonderful mixes and perhaps this explains why she has been invited to DJ outside the country before.

Celebrities across the country congregated for the birthday bash.

Pierra revealed that all her life ever since she was a young girl in school, MC Jessy has always been by her side, helping her and advising her on how to go about life.

Their relationship started off when Pierra was in high school and it has continued even to date. Here is what Pierra said:

There was a time when Saumu Mbuvi was all over the tabloids and newspaper pull outs .Just like her dad, Saumu was a newsmaker.

This Is The Top Of The Class Range Rover Flamboyant Songstress Bought Herself For Her Birthday (Photos)

She has never been shy of splashing a few coins to buy herself goodies. This time round, she had to dig deep in her pocket to buy herself a classy Range Rover for her birthday.

The presents some people buy themselves will make you wonder just how easy these folks are capable of coughing out their dough. A Range Rover stands out whenever wherever; to lay your hands on one, you have to part with at least 7 figures.

Sensational singer, Akothee, owns a collection of high-end rides. Even so, she had to buy herself a fine piece of British engineering for her birthday.

She added an extra year to her age over the weekend (surely she had to treat herself the best way she could afford). Akothee had to make sure her birthday goes down history books in style.

Even before she made her way to the exquisite Sankara Hotel to celebrate her big day, the singer had secretly bought herself an elegant European-made guzzler.

The brand new Range Rover had no plates, seems she just took it from wherever she bought it from and took it on the roads.

Anyway, see photos below:

Who Wore It Better?Capital F.M’s Amina Abdi Vs Ebru Tv’s News Kamene Goro

It’s a girl’s worst nightmare: Someone else wearing the exact same dress you have. It is even worse if you wore the outfit to the same event or you paid a fortune for it and can’t just get rid of it.

Amina and Ebru TV’s Kamene Goro found themselves in this situation when they were spotted in the same exact dress. The two seem to have a fondness for one of the hottest trends, the nautical trend as they both donned a white and blue stripped tea length dress with a yellow belt.

Amina wore it during a Maisha Superstar event while Kamene wore it during what looks like a nature walk. Both ladies paired it with pearls with Amina opting for bigger pearls.

US University Student Releases Tribute Song For The Garissa University Victims

Memories from that fateful Thursday morning attack are still fresh in our minds and are very much hurting as we embark on burying our brothers and sisters who perished in the hands of terrorists as they descended on the campus on the wee hours of the night and sprayed bullets recklessly.

The country has since been taken aback by the developments, with many recoiling to their cocoons thanks to the fear instilled in us.

And as Kenyans still ponder on what will happen next after losing their loved ones in the hands of perverted terrorists, a US University student has released Jack Johnson’s The News song to pay tribute to the 147 who perished in the attack.

Carter Harrell who was born and schooled in Nairobi before relocating to the US for higher education has remembered the 147 victims through the song which he has redone himself.

The 18-year old is standing at this difficult moment with Kenyans and says that everyone should actually remember Kenya during this trying moments.

Carter Harrel is an 18-year old singer songwriter born and raised in Nairobi Kenya. After taking piano lessons from a young age, he started to take up some other instruments to explore what he could do with music. He learned guitar, drums, and began to sing more and more as he went through school. He performs and records both originals and covers, and he is currently studying at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee to major in Commercial Music.

Here is the song:

“The News” (Jack Johnson) – Garissa Tribute

This video is my small tribute to all those affected by the recent tragedy in Garissa. This song is so powerful to me and I wanted to share it with all those with Kenya in their thoughts and prayers.

After Being Exposed As A ‘Broke Billionare’ Heshan De Silva ‘Escapes’ To South Africa. He Is Living Large (Photos)

We were first introduced to a 25 year old billionaire Heshan De Silva on K24’s ‘Young Rich’ back in 2013 where he gave us a flowery break down of what he owned.

We were impressed, after all it’s not every day you hear of 25 year old billionaires. He impressed us further by buying part of a premier media company, Motion Image and Sound (MIS) which deals with artist management, music production among other things.

The fact that he bought into a media company and was a billionaire at 25 gained him a legion of followers with his followers hanging to his every word, re-tweeting his tweets in fervor and reposting his quotes on Instagram very enthusiastically. But this year our bubble was popped and we learned that Heshan had no silver after a reputable PR firm publicly ditched him.

His fans were dejected. A thousand paper cuts coupled with whips across the face paled in comparison to what they felt at that moment on learning they were part of an elaborate scam.

Following this revelation, his fans morphed into enemies going HAM on him on social media. The harsh glare of the of the media focusing on him did not help either.

It seems Heshan wanted to take a break from all the madness and he took a birthday holiday to South Africa, visiting Cape town and other parts of South Africa.

Citizen TV’s Jacque Maribe Finally Smears A Kiss On The Love Of her Life. And It’s Not The Two Guys You Are Thinking Of (Photos)

Citizen TV’s senior political reporter, Jacque Maribe, must have run out of words when praising the love of her life. She even went on to kiss him just to prove how much she loves him.

Forget all the guys who have been linked to Jacque Maribe’s love before, none even inched close enough to earn her liking this much.

The Citizen TV reporter surely knows how to express her love, she is never shy of physically expressing it. Yes, she lifted her love and kissed him just to make you know she means her words.

But her love isn’t a romantic one. Sorry if you have been thinking along that line! Jacque’s love is that one of a mother to a son.

They say mothers and sons have strong affection. If this is true, the bond between Jacque and her son must be stronger than titanium.

Jacque calls her 11 month old baby the love of her life. She is perhaps the proudest mother currently dwelling on earth. I have to admit it has been quite long since I stumbled upon such kind of letter specially crafted to express appreciation for someone.

“My blessing, my pride, my love, my laughter.” Jacque wrote in part while expressing her feelings to her son.

The kid must be lucky to have such kind of a celebrity mother, too bad he is too little to understand what his mom feels about him.

Check out photos of Jacque and her kid on the next page:

Sunday cooling with the love of my life #myminime #MySoulmateAndI #MyZahari #MummyChronicles

I’m grateful that the Lord saw it fit to make me custodian over you. Fruit of my womb. My blessing, my pride, my love, my laughter. Happy 11 months my darling son, may the Lord watch over you and protect you. #myminime #MySoulmateAndI #MyZahari #MummyChronicles

This Is The Only Thing You Need To Do To Cash In On Suzanna Owiyo’s Mulla…

Many people tend to believe that a celebrity’s money is one of the rarest things to ever come across or get. Instead of actually getting a celebrity’s money, the celebrity will instead be craving your mulla through gigs and shows.

This perhaps could explain why you are interested to know how and why you are likely to cash in on Suzanna Owiyo’s money.

Well, it also interested me and I thought to myself why wouldn’t I share this with you.

Suzanna Owiyo is one of the most established and talented local singers in Kenya today. Despite singing in Luo in most of her songs, the songbird has a sizeable following among many Kenyans and her genre of music has always seen her traverse the globe to entertain and meet prominent and eminent persons alike.

Well, Suzanna finally seems to have noticed your loyalty and she is in a mission to reward you handsomely.

However, to get her 20K shillings, you only need to do this very simple thing. 20K is a lot of money by the way. And considering it is not money you have really struggled for.

All you need to do is watch her Wamiel video, set your camera, give the best dance of your life and thereafter upload the video on Facebook, Instagram You tube or Twitter with the hashtags # formulaonge and/or #suzannaowiyo.

As simple as that. And you are done.

The video with the most likes will earn the winner 20K shillings. I thought you should know. Now you know.

Kenyan Ladies, Meet the Nigerian Man of Your Dreams Here

The brainchild behind the ‘looking for Caro’ mantra will be gracing Nairobi’s finest entertainment scene this weekend.

Now I know based on the latest poorly performed Nigerian show that we were all looking forward to did not leave Nigerian artistes at the best of lights but that was one artiste. Who fortunately does not represent the capability of performing for the rest of the artiste. So stop being sceptical.

The fast rising singer L.A.X, is famous for his hits such as Ginger and Caro that features Wizkid and Starboy. This shall be L.A.X’s first visit to Kenya. I’m thinking it will rock! Then Skylux being the host and organizers, I no longer hope but BELIEVE it shall be an Epic night!

The night is dubbed ‘Art of Luxury’, aside from L.A.X headlining the event, Mali’s heartthrob Daniel Peter Weke will be the host. On the decks will be;

  • Dj Joe Mfalme
  • Dj Lexx Montanah
  • Dj Slick

Eye-con Photography will be in the house too.

Join Thousands Today as We Commemorate The Garissa Attack

Today,  Tuesday the 14th of April 2015, Kenyans will converge at Freedom Corner Uhuru Park to both  celebrate the survivors of the harrowing experience that was the Garissa University Attack and to honor the lives and memory of our brothers and sisters whose lives were cut short by a terrorist’s bullet.

This is a sad time for our nation. This is a moment that calls upon us to look within ourselves. The murder of innocent schoolchildren seeking education to better their lives and those of their families is something that has brought anguish on us. We are now even more alive to the reality that our enemies are within and without. We are confronted with the reality that none of us is safe because our enemies will stop at nothing until they see the utter destruction of our nation Kenya.

Yet we must collectively see this as a season of opportunity. A chance for us to come together and hold firm the fabric that is the Kenyan society. These events in recent days demand a certain measure of character from us. In the face of fear and terror we must remain resolute and firm. The loss of our brothers and sisters must shore up the audacity of a nation to believe in our collective victory over the elements of division and spirited machinations of our enemies. Together we must stand and face the challenges that come against us as a nation. Where religion, race, tribe and class has been used as a wedge between Kenyans from different walks of life, this concert calls us to the remembrance of the indomitable Kenyan spirit.

Our victory will not be complete unless we confront the questions that linger in our minds.  How is it that there was underwhelming response in the face of very clear and obvious intelligence reports? Why are certain mistakes reoccurring in the face of persistent threats ? What is the state of our health facilities to handle disasters and ensure victims and survivors are treated with dignity?   In this regard, we would urge a full judicial inquiry into the Garissa attack with the intention of avoiding repeated mistakes and holding the relevant entities to account.

The families of the slain students are hurting. Some families are faced with the prospect of eternal absence because they have lost the only child in the family. What can we say to families that sold their cows to ensure that their children had a shot at a decent education and the prospects that come with it? Though it is clear that no amount of money can bring back the lives gone, we believe that the more can be done. These efforts must begin with the setting  up of a more comprehensive compensation package for all the affected families and clearance of bills that arise from this attack. Kenyans must know that the government is willing to come to the aid of its citizens.

This concert is a show of strength.  It is a statement that we are stronger together even in the face of adversity. That is why on Tuesday 14th April 2015 every man, woman and child should come to Uhuru Park Freedom Corner and join hands as we honor the victims and survivors of the Garissa Attack.

Details: Garissa Memorial Concert

Venue: Freedom Corner, Uhuru Park

Time: 14 April 2015, from 4 pm to 7 pm

Former TPF Host Joey Muthengi Hospitalized

Ebru TV’s Joey Muthengi just can’t seem to catch a break.

Just recently, their home was invaded by thugs who killed their security dogs and now the pretty young thing is in hospital from what she calls a herding accident.

23 hours ago she posted this: Herding accident. Wish I brought something to read though. Hospital ceilings are absolutely more boring than regular ones. Thanks for those who’ve called to check on me. I hope to be outta here Asap.

Then posted this 3 hours ago: God only knows…Day 3 in this hospital bed and all there is to do is think. Thankful that my family has been here everyday though. Really just want to get back to work

Before adding this: Dear children. Hospitals = no fun and the view is usually pretty crappy as well. So eat your vegetables, obey your parents, take your vitamins, stay in school, drive the speed limit and all that good stuff. M’kay?

Thankfully she is doing pretty well as she managed to share the following photos on social media and could be going home today .

Is Vera Sidika The Caro Nigeria’s L.A.X Is Looking For In Kenya? The Socialite Reveals She Will Be Hosting The Singer When He Jets Into The Country

After almost a millennium of silence and public disappearance, our own queen of socialites Vera Sidika has made a grand come back to the limelight once again. All along many thought and said that her skin bleach had backfired and she was working on it. Well, she is back and she does not look like she had a problem with her skin pigment.

Vera was over the weekend among the thousands of fans who gathered at the Nyayo National stadium for the Mashemeji Derby.

Many said that her presence helped to bring sanity in the stadium as hooligans caused no trouble thanks to the attention they gave to Vera as she sat pensively beside Kristoff.

Well, the socialite is at again and this time round it seems she is the Caro Nigeria’s Wizkid and L.A.X have been looking for ever since they released this song a few years ago.

Vera will be hosting L.A.X when he lands in the country come this Saturday. Vera has revealed through her instagram account that she will be hosting the Art of Luxury event at the Skylux Lounge where L.A.X will be performing.

Here is what the socialite posted:

Ciku Muiruri Blasts a Married Man for Planting a Steamy Yet Sloppy Madonna Like Kiss on Her

We all watched in disgust as the granny of pop Madonna grabbed and lip-locked Drake leaving his hands flailing wildly and trying to hold her before his soul got sucked from him.

In all honesty he actually looked like he enjoyed the kiss up until the end when he looked bitten but as he tells TMZ, it was the taste of her lipstick he didn’t like. But then again it’s like french-kissing your grandma, its pretty gross.

Anyhow back at home  Ciku Muiruri shared a story of a kiss she received  that she dint like too much and went on to blast the bloke for his less than lovely kiss. This is what she wrote;

Internet ablaze with images of Madonna accosting poor Drake. Same thing happened to me this weekend. A group of us at a table, I look up to say hello to a guy whose just checked in and he proceeds to give me the most disgusting Madonna style smack right on my lips. It did not last as long as this but my expression was worse than Drake’s. I had to go rinse my mouth out. Gross. Gross. Gross. And he had the nerve to say: “When the opportunity presents itself….” Eric Njau of IQ Plus – Shame on you! Shenzi type! I hope your wife sees this post and kicks your fat ass to the curb. Oh, I feel ya, Drake

EVIDENCE! Missing Activist Behind Langata Land Grab Demo Who Kenyans Have Been Crying For Is Still Alive

Kenyans have flooded Twitter to express their anger and frustration following the disappearance of Francis Sakwa, one of the activists behind Langata Land Grab demo.

It’s said Sakwa went missing days after sent a petition to National Land Commission on grabbed Retail Market land. His colleagues have since tried to trace him but their efforts haven’t yielded any pleasing results.

The fear of the worst drove Kenyans on social media to start a campaign to bring back Sakwa safe and sound. It’s not the first time someone has been arrested by the police only to end up dead in some thicket.

This has been common especially at the coast. Kenyans can’t comprehend how Sakwa was arrested by cops yet he is nowhere to be found in police stations.

A tag #FindSakwa is currently the hottest trending topic on Twitter. The activist has now been missing for two days; most of the tweets by Kenyans indicate they fear Sakwa might as well be a victim of extra-judicial killings.

But evidence indicates the activist is still breathing. According to Boniface Mwangi, Sakwa is still alive and well. Boniface posted a screenshot of Sakwa’s last post on Facebook.

So where is he? Since he can still afford to access the internet and we all know that is a luxury most guests of the state are NEVER accorded.

Larry Madowo Offers Free But Inflated Advice To Bahati And Willy Paul…Oh! And What Did He Call Them?

Willy Paul and Bahati, two upcoming gospel artistes in the country, have been embroiled in controversy over a couple of weeks after the latter accused the former of being a thief who steals his songs by conspiring with producers like Teddy B.

Bahati ranted heavily on his Facebook fanpage, describing how Willy Paul has frustrated every effort he makes to produce some new songs.

Willy Paul, however, remained mum and went ahead to release one of the songs he allegedly stole from Bahati.

Eric Omondi was the first celebrity to offer advice to the two where he urged them to forgive each other and reconcile. They are yet to do so though.

And now NTV’s Larry Madowo has penned a piece rebuking the two artistes with some advice in it. Larry says that the two are “two princes of gospel music, each vying for the ultimate crown of boy king. Both are barely out of their teens, moderately talented and much loved by legions of fans.”

While Larry believes the tiff between the artistes rose when Bahati released his song ‘Lover’ only for Willy Paul to counter him with his ‘Vigelegele’, the truth is that the two are competing for fame and recognition.

Larry has advised that the two sincerely need counseling and training just like one gets the necessary training before they are ordained and sacrosanct as priest.

“Bahati and Willy Paul are just the most prominent of a growing list of child stars in the gospel music industry,” Larry says.

“Although I’m no longer a Catholic, I have always admired process of training priests. After years of philosophy and theology studies with some pastoral work thrown in, a young novice is lucky if he gets ordained a deacon seven years after high school. In that time, he has earned and mastered the ministry, apprenticed under more experienced priests and interacted with diverse congregations. Every Christian denomination  has a process of instruction and ordination before one is considered a leader.”

Larry summarises by saying, “Neither of them has a publicist or a manager. Some adult supervision is well and truly overdue before either or both self-destruct.”

Notable Radio Presenter Harshly Criticizes Maina Kageni. Find Out why

Since the birth of his show about a decade ago, Maina has had his share of critics. He has received barbs from those that feel that ‘he eroded the morals of society’ and from those that feel his show is just too hot for a morning show.

But despite the backlash, his show continued to grow in leaps and bounds with thousands streaming in for a dose of the daily drama. Maina had found his niche and the critics were soon shushed because as we all know numbers did not lie, and the score board favored Maina.

Yesterday, the King of morning Radio discussed something which rubbed people off the wrong way, ‘women many Kenyan men avoid – Kikuyu women’ me included. You can check out my rant here

After the article, Maina got criticized for his show by an unlikely person, his friend even. Njogu wa Njoroge of Kameme F.M is one of the most iconic radio presenters in radio today and had this to say:

njogu_vs_maina.jpg

Maina Kageni is my brother. I respect his prowess in broadcasting. He is a superstar. We last met last Wednesday at Karen Country Club as we were getting on the course for Barclays ProAm Competition. He had a better day on the course than me. But i have just listened to a repeat of his show this morning. I tend to think it was offensive to Kikuyu Women. The callers disparaged my mother, my sister and even my daughter..A guy described kikuyu women as murderous and will kill for money. Honestly brother Maina, you bent so low on that

These Are The Pretty Ladies Causing Upheaval On The Internet. What They Are Alleged To Have Done Will Make You Shed Tears (Photos)

Some beautiful lasses have attracted the wrath of Kenyans for their heinous actions. What they are alleged to have done is enough to convince you the devil lives on earth and not in hell.

Thursday the 2nd of April marked the darkest hour in the country since the onset of the new millennium. On that day, 148 Kenyans lost their lives when Al Shabaab terrorists opened fire killing people indiscriminately.

The high death toll could partly be attributed to the delay of rapid response from the elite Recce squad. The GSU squad was stuck in Nairobi for 5 hours because they couldn’t get a plane to ferry them to Garissa to battle the bad guys.

When they finally set foot in Garissa, they managed to gun down the terrorist in a record 12 minutes to end the 16 hour siege. Totally impressive! Imagine if they were flown to Garissa immediately, perhaps casualties could be less, right?

Well, the plane that was supposed to fly Recce squad to Garissa was allegedly being used by some girls for their own leisure.

Photos doing rounds on the internet indicate two girls were gallivanting around the country using police craft while Recce squad was stranded with no plane to fly them to combat Al Shabaab gunmen.

Kenyans have been busy cursing and throwing all kinds of insults at the two girls ever since their photo popped up online. The caption on the picture was what infuriated Kenyans the most.

See photos of the said ladies and comments Kenyans posted on the next page:

Communication Authority of Kenya Cracks Its Whip Again! These Are The Six Stations That Have Been Shut Down

Ever since Communication Commission of Kenya changed its name to Communications Authority of Kenya (CAK), it has been ruthless in executing its mandate, the like of KTN, NTV, QTV and Citizen TV can tell it all.

The communications regulatory body has once again flexed its muscles to put six radio stations off air for transmitting unauthorized radio broadcast frequencies.

According to a statement dispatched to newsrooms, the six radio stations had breached the law by installing transmitters without acquiring lincences from CAK.

The authority said the transmitters were located in non-designated broadcasting sites and were bound to cause harmful interferences to duly licensed services including broadcasters, aviation, and other critical services.

CAK also said the six stations were interfering with transmissions in the neighboring countries since the frequency they were operating from conflicted with registered stations from the those countries.

All the six stations operated from Nyanza. They include; Milambo FM in Migori, Radio Pacho in Siaya, Sunset Radio in Homa Bay, Ugwe FM in Rongo Town, Radio Faith FM in Oyugis Town and Ekialo Kiona in Mfangano Island.

CAK has since impounded equipment used to transmit unauthorized radio broadcast frequencies that the said stations were using.
