Her radio career kicked off at Capital F.M but it was not until she joined Kiss F.M that she became a household name thanks to her palpable on air chemistry with the self-proclaimed bad boy of Showbiz Shaffie Weru.

Huddah’s stint in West Africa didn’t end without a controversy; she was labeled a ‘thief’ after she picked photos from Linda Ikeji’s blog to fool folks she was living big in Nigeria.

Huddah covertly jetted back into the country, she didn’t publicize her arrival like she always does whenever is from her expensive trips.

Huddah says she shops everywhere so don’t be baffled if you happen to bump into her at any of the City’s market.

Senator Mike Sonko loves to inspire many a people. Apart from being the most philanthropic politician in the 254, something which his haters are finding hard to come by, the Senator inspires many through his social media accounts.

His humble beginnings tell the story of a man who had nothing to show to the world. Were it not for his hope and inspiration for better things ahead, Sonko wouldn’t be nobody today.

The senator has shared a photo of his days as a poor man, when he looked dejected but his wife always stood by him and believed in him.

Now, one of the women he was involved with in the past has come out claiming that Majirani conned her off some money after lying to her that he was held up somewhere and could not access his money.

She wired him the money through his uncle as displayed in the receipt below:

It was a loan and Majirani was expected to pay off as soon as he stabilized. But he didn’t pay up and now, the girl is baying for his blood.

Speaking to Ghafla, Majirani informed us that this news has come as a shock to him as the girl wired him the money as his girlfriend and he was not expected to pay back the money.

“I was held up in Congo and she was my closest friend and she sent me the cash willingly. I can’t tell the motive behind her spilling things in public because I just shot a video worth 5000, 000 shillings last week, meaning I can pay her back the cash. But she refuses. “Adding that “I think she is angry because she wanted me to blackmail me nimpende but I refused so she started attacking me on Facebook before starting rumors that I conned her. I am not a conman, na akimaliza kubonga hoyo sh*t aniambie nimtumie doh” he concludes.

 

 

Yesterday, a popular NTV Actor had a sudden health attack in the streets of Nairobi. And ended up ignored by his own family; NTV.

An NTV Actor yesterday collapsed in the streets of Nairobi after an unexplainable health scare attacked him.

Voke, who acts on NTV’s popular long-running comedy show ‘Beba Beba’ collapsed in the streets and we are told he was unaccompanied.

After collapsing, a good Samaritans quickly picked him up and carried him all the way to Kimathi Street, particularly outside Nation Centre which is where the NTV Headquarters are.

After dropping him outside NMG, still unconscious and eerily bloodied, Voke still didn’t receive any form of medical-or even passing-attention from members of NMG.

After realizing that NOBODY from the vast Nation Centre was willing to offer any form of help to the deteriorating Voke, the same good Samaritans now decided to knock on the doors of Ghafla! Kenya, which is located a few steps behind Nation Center.

Ghafla!’s Editor Irari Ngugi, accompanied by social media manager, Omega, then accompanied the young men to Nation Centre to witness the unfolding spectacle of shame.

But upon arrival there, Voke had already been moved, presumably taken to hospital. After lying unattended to for over an hour.

When we asked the Good Samaritans why NTV Staff wouldn’t offer immediate help to Voke given that he works in the same company as them, they told us…

“Walidai ati Voke sio member wa staff wa NTV and that he’s just an actor on contract. Not an NTV employee. Ndio sasa tukashindwa aje, kama mtu huact kwa show yenu, si huyo mtu ni Wenu!?? Must You be a fully-employed member of staff to deserve attention from your company colleagues!??”

Our efforts to ascertain whether NTV did indeed ignore their own at his very dire hour of need proved futile. And our calls to them still remained unanswered by the time of going to press.

And if that actually did happen, well, outraged is the least word we can use for now.

As you are all aware, seasoned journalist Jeff Koinange was recently slapped with another arrest warrant. This was after he got arrested and released on a cash bail of 100,000 last week.

 

Before issuing another arrest warrant the judge Senior Resident Magistrate, Maisy Chesang had some unflattering things to say about Koinange who failed to turn up in court but opted for a conference at the Ivory Coast. “I acknowledge submissions that Mr. Koinange is a difficult person to deal with and the explanations given for his failure to be in court are insufficient. In the circumstances, a fresh warrant of arrest is issued against him and his cash bail forfeited to the state. ”said M Chesang.

His lawyer’s explanation that Mr. Koinange travelled to the Ivory Coast to attend a conference but the judge was hearing none of it “What was more important, cancelling the trip or attending court? The judicial process is more important than any other engagement and as a public figure, he should know that it is good order to follow court orders” she said. This is according to Business Daily Africa

BEWARE! A new application makes it easy to fabricate tweets that look REAL. You CAN’T differentiate between a fake and a real tweet!

Last evening, Uncle Moody was killed by some bustards who have mastered the trick of using verified twitter handles to generate fake tweets.

An application, tweetfake.com allows users to ‘access’ any twitter handle and create fake tweets that look real.

How the application works is very simple; once you access the site, you just type the name of anyone and it automatically gives you access to that handle.

From there on you can type ANYTHING and the tweet will be appear to have originated from the ‘victim’ whose handle you are using.

You can then take screenshots and post them on any site and no one can tell it’s a fake tweet.

Some crafty Kenyans yesterday used that trick to send shockwaves across the nation. They used Aden Duale, Raila Odinga, Daily Nation among other reliable twitter handles to cheat Kenyans that former Vice President, Moody Awori had passed on.

Alex Mwakideu and Mzee Jalas Mwenyewe

 

Arguably the most famous voices on Radio Maisha, Alex Mwakideu and comedian-cum-actor Jalang’o command a massive listenership in their Maisha Asubuhi Show, a show that reaches far and wide and which many love to listen to. I am a die-hard listener of the show.

Ann Njogu (Toto La Mama)

 

Arguably the only female presenter who would host a show by her own and make it one of the finest. Anne Njogu loves to keep to keep a low profile on the social media an this makes it difficult for some of us to know how she looks. Today, you gotta see who Ann Njogu is. The most romantic voice on Radio Maisha? That I leave to you to decide.

Esther Mwende Macharia And Clemmo

 

Arguably the noisiest yet most entertaining presenter of the radio station, Mwende Macharia just made everyone forget former Iz-Vipi host Peter Adams with her new show Konnect. Together with Clemmo, the two are bringing real competition to veterans like Mzazi Willy Tuva of Radio Citizen and Milele FM’s Allan Wakoli and Nzula Makosi. Mwende Macharia’s mastery of the Swahili language and speed of articulation makes her the best host on radio.

Tina Korosso

The Tanzanian diva made headlines when she joined TPF a few years ago to try her luck thanks to her passion for music. Having a diploma in Music and Theology from Botswana, Tinah Korosso worked with Cloud FM in Tanzania before landing a job with Mombasa-based Pili Pili FM. It was here that she built a name for herself and her voice and ability to entertain prompted Radio Maisha to poach her. Since arriving at the station, she has become one of the integral members of the station. Together with Zureka they are the best female hosts on RM.

Emmanuel Mwashumbe

 

Call him Manu Emmanuela and you get a way into his heart. The Rhumba enthusiast entertained many when he worked for KBC and perhaps this explains why RM poached him to get his services. His deep voice draws one even closer to radio. 

Hassan Mwana Wa Ali

 

Poaching someone from Radio Citizen is no mean feat you know. But RM managed to do this because they knew they were going for one of the finest voices on radio in Kenya today. Hassan is known for his deep knowledge of Swahili language and this gives him an edge over others. He is a natural entertainer and a football enthusiast.

One would think he would refrain from writing ‘skewed’ articles on newspaper given that the last time he took a jab on local blogs he was severely chastised by Kenyans.

The NTV news anchor-cum- Daily Nation columnist yesterday wrote another pesky article that raised eyebrows again.

The headline itself was alarming! ‘We do have a knack glorifying the absurd’

The ‘absurd’ Larry was referring to were Salma Mbuvi and the controversial Intercontinental lady, Laura Oyier.

Larry clearly can’t digest the fact that the media is shining the spotlight on ‘wrong people’. He says the society is keen on glorifying theatrics and unpaid hotel bills over actual accomplishment.

“Kenyans just seem to be attracted to the shallow and the myopic over the inspirational and the extraordinary.” Larry wrote in part.

He had issues with the way the media dashed to write about Salma Mbuvi when she flaunted a gun and Laura launching her exorbitant bottled water.

But then again Larry hosted Laura on The Trend! Was that not ‘glorifying theatrics and unpaid hotel bills’?

Radio Simba was not as popular it was expected to be despite posting revered presenters like Massawe Japanni (currently of Milele FM) and Linda Oriaso (former Q FM presenter who also made a short stint at Radio Maisha recently).

The coming in of Radio Maisha was a clear indication that the radio industry in the 254 was growing steadily after the realization of media freedom to some extent in Kenya.

And five years down the line, Radio Maisha, which boasts some of the best presenters on the land, is ranked among the best radio stations in the country.

At first glance, Larry and Amina Abdi look like they belong to different circles and look like they have nothing in common except the fact that they both work in the media.

But as Larry reveals there is more to them than meets the eye as the two used to hang out was before Amina acquired the infamous ‘Capirro ’ accent and took over the world.

He went on to express how happy hje was for how far Amina has gotten in life, saying:

The latest Al Shabaab attack on a police convey in Garissa has sparked an interesting conversation on social media after the government issued two contradictory statements regarding the same.

While one arm of the government has come out to deny claims Al Shabaab killed cops on Yumbis attack, the other one-read,the Digital One-went on to send condolences to the families of the slain police officers.

Interior Ministry tweeted denying claims Al Shabaab had killed police officers. The Ministry says no officer had been downed by the terrorists confirming only a single cop had been flown to Nairobi for further treatment.

However,The Director of Digital Communication in the Office of the President, Dennis Itumbi, was rather fast to condole with victims of the grisly attack.

Itumbi,who runs the PSCU Kenya Digital Twitter handle,jumped on the handle to salute the fallen police officers for their bravery who he said died protecting the country.

Realizing he had made a blunder with his tweet, Itumbi quickly rushed back to social media to rectify the mistake but unfortunately the damage had already been done.

Kenyans had a field day roasting the Government Spanner boy…But obviously Itumbi is not really a stranger to Social Media blunders. I bet he took it all in his stride…

A move that was frowned upon by Kenyans who thought she had been ‘Esther Arungad’ ,  hoodwinked into marriage as she turned from a fashionable Tero to a conservative Tero. Many blamed the husband for allegedly ‘destroying’ Tero.

But her sister Vanessa says contrary to popular belief, Tero got married by free will and is enjoying her role as a mother and wife adding that she is happy for her elder sister.

Baby Satrine joined the Sonko family alongside his brother Gift after a terrorist’s bullet killed their mom and got lodged in Satrine’s skull.

Sonko proved to be the Good Samaritan and cleared Satrine’s hospital bill and took them in where they have been balling harder than the Rich Kids of Beverly Hills.

However, relatives of the two notably their grandmother are now grumbling because the two were adopted without any approval from their biological family .

“My mother is complaining that her grandchildren were taken away without our consent. Since last year, we have not seen the two children. We only see them on TV.” Satrine’s Aunty, Consolata Awino told the The Star
