So award-winning journalist Jeff Koinange was recently arrested for allegedly defaming a Nairobi tycoon on his show. Who ever imagined we’d see Jeff being escorted by police? Well, while he was waiting to appear in court, Jeff caught up with Omondi, the man who had been arrested by Kanjo officers for urinating on a wall. 

Here’s Jeff’s smoooookin interview with Omondi……

JEFF: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to another edition of THE BENCH….Sorry folks. I meant the floor. There’s no bench today so we are gonna have to sit on the floor. Oh my wamae. It’s gonna be cold. Someone bring a jiko. Tell afande to bring some kuni. Someone get me my Cuban cigars please.

OMONDI: Jeff yawa, Shall we stop traversing unnecessary subjects and get to the crucial matter at hand. Let’s initiate the proceedings with haste because my attorney shall be here to bail me out in the next thirty minutes.

JEFF: Okay Omondi. So tell me, what are you in here for?

OMONDI: Well you see Jeff, there is this group of humans who call themselves kanjo. They arrested me for discharging my urine and projecting it at a wall

JEFF: Goddamn, So you mean they arrested you for urinating at a public space

OMONDI: Correction Jeff, I wasn’t urinating. I was simply relieving myself. Like Professor Bamba says, it doesn’t have to be convoluted. I was merely answering to a call of nature. Just like Tony Gachoka.  Where’s the crime in that? This is abuse of jail space. They literally abducted me. They pulled me out of my RAV4 and bundled me in an crowded odour-filled van. I’ve never been so pissed by the way. Naskia tu kugonga mtu ngoto

JEFF: Goodness gracious, it’s already heating up here on….THE FLOOR. Temperatures are rising. The chills are no more. Oh my.  So tell me Mr. Omondi, why did you decide to relieve yourself on a wall and where exactly did this happen?

OMONDI: Correction again. It’s Dr. Omondi, not Omondi. You know Omondi is too mainstream donge? I studied at Cambridge, so addressing me with the same noun used to address a normal Omondi is unacceptable. Now allow me to narrate. Sawasawa?

JEFF: My apologies Dr.Omondi, go ahead

OMONDI: Good. All these transgressions I have been subjected to started on Sunday night at 11 pm. I was driving from Thika to my posh residence in Muthaiga. Sasa wakati mi nafika past Kasarani nkaskia mukojo nakasa mimi. I looked right left, looked right then left again but there were no decent washrooms in my vicinity. being the courageous Jatelo that i am. I halted my Japanese machine and rushed to a nearby wall to do my thing. No sooner had I started than two Kanjo offices popped out of the blue and grabbed my Armani coat by the collar. Omera can you imagine they grabbed me by the collar like a chicken thief. Furthermore, they put wrinkles n my coat.

JEFF: But that was a serious offence Dr. Omondi, why are you angry? Don’t you think you deserve all this?

OMONDI: Eii Jeff. Kuja pople pole.Tukianza kuongea about who deserves what, we might end up writing a book like Miguna. My grievances are countless. First of all, upon arrest, these people confiscated my Samsung S6 for no justifiable reason. Second, they wanted a bribe. They wanted me to bid goodbye to my Ksh 4000 so that I could regain my freedom. Ukiongalia mimi nakaa mutu ya kulipa hongo kweli? I’d rather use that 4K to wipe my windscreen. I simply rejected their unsavory demand

JEFF: Great tale brother. So we are going to court together?

OMONDI: Absolutely. Alafu wewe tapea mimi lift kwa hiyo Mercedes yako tukitoka court. I have no idea where my automobile is located at the moment.

JEFF: We’ll see about that brother

OMONDI: It wasn’t a request by the way. I’ve said you’ll give me a lift.  Thank you for the interview. You shall inform me when it shall air so that i switch on my 72 inch curve TV and admire myself

It was over the weekend when celebrated rugby player Collins Injera made headlines the world over when he raced to the nearest camera and signed it with an indelible ink.

This came after Injera made his 200^th successful career try.

The camera that Injera destroyed is what 10M Kenyan money and many have been wondering if the player will pay for the damages.

Injera has spoken out about the camera. After arriving in the country, Injera told reporters that he is not paying for the camera because the owners have not told him anything.

The athlete says that it was a mistake signing the camera but he had to do it because his 200^th try is all he has looked for.

Another thing they are famous for is luring young people to join them and now two Kenyan girls with a bright future ahead of them have been draw in by this terrorist group. The two girls Salwa Abdalla and Twafiqa Dahir who disappeared last week have apparently joined the ISIS and sent a telegraph announcing their arrival in Syria.

Twafiqa’s cousin Rahama Abnasir, told this to the The Standard “I received the first message at 9.28 p.m. when she informed me that she had arrived in Syria. We finished chatting at 9.47 p.m. She promised to get back to me on Monday after buying a new phone and getting a home to stay at.”

The two girls are Salwa Abdalla and Twafiqa Dahir were university students with Twafiqa studying in the University of Nairobi student while Salwa was a 2nd year student at Thika Road based university, Kenyatta University.

The parents were understandably besides themselves in grief on learning of their daughter’s fate with Twafiqa’s mother describing her daughters disappearance to the Standard  “Twafiqa came home from the madrassa on Wednesday afternoon together with Salwa. She was dropping her cousins and siblings from the madrassa. She then excused herself to escort Salwa. From that moment, both their phones went off”

This is the situation a mother is in in Bungoma County after she delivered a healthy baby boy.

Caroline Chemutai is, however, in line to enter the Guinness Book of Records for the birth of her son.

The mother gave birth to a 6.3kg son, the second highest weight a new born has ever weighed in Kenya.

Last year a mother in Western Kenya gave birth to a 7kg baby and became the first to weigh the highest kilos.

The mother says she delivered her 6.3kg child by herself without any problems and says that she has been feeding normally.

A KQ flight carrying 30 passengers heading to the coastal town of Malindi was yesterday hijacked by a group of terrorists before the elite Recce squad intervened.

The morning incident at JKIA sent shockwaves across the country but Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) come out just on time to confirm it was only a drill.

The airports management body says it carried out the drill to test the country’s preparedness in handling terrorism related cases.

The hijacking scenario was of a group of terrorist taking control of a KQ flight with 30 passengers set to leave for Malindi.

The ‘terrorists’ demanded food, refueling facilities and a flight plan to their destination of choice. Recce squad would then neutralize the threat with casualties being evacuated by the Red Cross to various city hospitals.

KAA justified their exercise saying they are required to carry out such drills once every three years to put to task their level of preparedness and security standards.

For the first time since becoming president of the free world, United States, Barack Obama joined twitter yesterday, something that caused a frenzy on the social media.

Within hours of joining twitter, Obama had mustered close to 2 million followers and by the end of yesterday he was still counting.

And among those who welcomed Obama on twitter is President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Through his twitter handle, the president of the republic of Kenya welcomed Obama who goes by the handle @POTUS to mean Presidnt Of The United States.

Uhuru tweeted and said:

Welcome to @Twitter, @POTUS. I look forward to your visit to Kenya this July #TembeaKenya#GES2015Kenya

But Kenyans, as usual, had to make some fun out of it. Many gave suggestions to President Uhuru to also come with an acronym related to Kenya. And one of the suggestions was @PORK to mean President Of Republic of Kenya.

As we all know by now renowned journalist Jeff Koinange and host of the JKL show on KTN was arraigned in court yesterday to answer judges of contempt of court.

A magistrate ordered the arrest of Jeff Koinange late last after the veteran journalist ignored a court order that barred him and political analyst Tony Gachoka from discussing a matter before court.

It had to wait until yesterday when Jeff was arrested in the morning and presented before the court to answer the judges.

The journalist was later released on a cash bail of Kshs.100,000 and is expected to appear in court next week for further directions.

Former Classic FM presenter, Ciku Muiruri, has picked war with Nairobi Senator, Mike Sonko and his daughter, Salma Mbuvi, igniting the newest beef in town.

Sonko and his daughters, Salma and Saumu, are fond of taking to the social media to show off their pricey possessions oblivious of the fact that they sometimes get on some people’s nerves with their stunt.

A couple of days ago, Salma Mbuvu, was wobbling on people’s tongues after she took to the social media to flaunt a pistol, the caption was what left many mouths agape.

From Daily Mail, to ESPN to Yahoo sport, everyone is talking about the £60,000 worth of damage that he caused after celebrating his team’s 24-12 win against Japan.

The first time I heard of the story, I actually thought he had smashed the camera in rage considering the fact that it was so sensationally reported, only to learn that all he did was sign the camera.

I don’t know much about pricey camera’s but I thought that lenses were replaceable or the permanent ink wiped off, we all know there are fluids used to clean off ‘permanent ink’.
This  sensational reporting of this story completely stole the good part beating Japan and him scoring a 200th international try, which is a pretty big deal.

Anyhow, this is how Collins reacted to the whole debacle

Jeff Koinange was arrested early today as he left his house for work by plain cloth CID officers. The news is already littering the social media where the veteran journalist has a massive following.

The JKL host on KTN was set to host controversial blogger Robert Alai and Head of Digital Migration in the Office of the President, Dennis Itumbi, tomorrow on his JKL show but it is now not clear if it will happen with his arrest.

Kenyans have since taken to the social media to express their frustration at the arrest, with many making fun out of the arrest as they want Jeff released immediately.

Shocking details have emerged from Tanzania on how Tanzanian women are desperately crossing the border to have their ova fertilized by able Kenyan men.

A newspaper in Tanzania has ran the story of how Tanzanian men have been lost to alcohol, leaving their women desperate for intercourse and children, forcing them to cross the border to seek the services of Kenyan men.

The article in the paper accuses Tanzanian men of neglecting their women and families, giving Kenyans a chance to prey freely on their women, something that according to the writer, is worrying.

This is happening in the district of Rombo where its commissioner has lamented that alcoholism and negligence have taken the society back.

Tanzanian women need to have children and the only way they can do this is by looking for men who are able to impregnate them, and these men are in Kenya.

The commissioner now wants the authorities to fight alcoholism to avoid such incidents.

Huddah Monroe is in Nigeria enjoying life in the fast lane, but that isn’t the only thing the socialite is doing. She is also very busy stealing from Nigerians and deceiving folks.

Controversies never cease shadowing Huddah Monroe, the socialite flew to Port City of Lagos in pursuit ecstasy and now she has landed her behinds in hot soup.

Huddah has a knack for filling her Instagram handle with her photos enjoying herself in ritzy destinations around the globe.

Her trip to Nigeria was no different, she took lots of photos to show the world how she was living big in the West African nation.

One thing though, Huddah took all of us for a ride. She stole some photos from Linda Ikeji’s blog to cheat folks they were hers.

Noticing Huddah was fooling Kenyans using their pictures, Nigerians decided to pull the plug on her propaganda.

A Nigerian blog exposed Huddah for being a thief, it gave concrete evidence showing how the Kenyan socialite tricked people into believing she was dishing out dollar bills.

Of course Huddah was cleaver enough to pull down the photos from her handle, but she was oblivious of the fact the internet never forgets, could have saved her effort for something else!

Kansiime Anne is no stranger to Kenyans in fact we love her here.

She won us over with her Citizen TV series “Don’t Mess with Kansiime” and also with her rib-cracking situational humor clips on You Tube.
However Kansiime is having trouble in her marriage. As seen in her latest YouTube clip called “Kansiime catches the husband red handed.”

The clip showcases Kansiime’s hubby getting haircut but she is not too pleased when the barber attempts to massage her husband as is common in most barber shops these days .And she causes a real stink.

Nairobi Senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko is one of the few philanthropic politicians we have around and it seems his philanthropic has prompted some to try and curve a living out of it through unscrupulous means.

There is a facebook page account that has been misleading many Kenyans who tend to think it belongs to the flamboyant politician.

The page goes by the name Hon. Mike Sonko and many Kenyans seem to have fallen prey to what the page posts as they believe it is the senator himself posting.

However, Senator Sonko has come out to strongly dismiss the group and called it a Waiganjo.

This was after one of the concerned Kenyans asked him to clarify the matter before many a follower fell prey.

Here is what he said:

If I had a dollar for every time a Vera Sidika Pregnancy rumor hit my timeline, I would be in a helicopter in a yacht just like those rich kids on Instagram. Yes, the Vera Sidika pregnancy rumors are that recurrent.

According to The Nairobian, the sexy siren was recently accused of getting rid of her baby by a Facebook user who shared a photo of the former video vixen, looking heavy with child.

But Vera insists that she has never been pregnant claiming that the picture was ‘Photoshopped. “I have never been pregnant, I have always used protection. That photo was fake!” Vera told the Nairobian.

Adding that having babies is not completely off the table, she would love to have babies though in the future
