Robert Alai Throws In His Two Cents On Mollis

The guy that made the whole country talk about him for days has attracted the attention of the controversial blogger.

Hope by now everybody knows this ninja by the name Mollis. Well if you don’t, he is the dude that ruthlessly ‘eat’ a lady with out-of-earth energy.

While most men were hailing their fellow testosterone for a job well done, a section of ladies surfaced to claim Morris was raping the lady.

Now this is where Alai came in, to defend the poor guy from the wrath of charged feminists baying for his blood.

The whistleblower says only folks who use dildos call Mollis’ case rape. He further added that most women are still in queue waiting for that day they shall ‘salenda’.

The blogger says those claiming Mollis forced himself into the lady are only doing so because they are choked with envy since they haven’t experience the ‘salenda’ moment yet.

Alai cited a similar case in the US, DJ Khalid’s “Say My Name Baby” which he explained was what the lady devoured by Mollis was only doing.

Bonface Mwangi Savagely Attacks Gor Mahia Fans. Find Out Why Moses Kuria Has Been Dragged Into This Too

Gor Mahia fans are arguably the most controversial fans in Africa thanks to their heroics whenever their favourite club is playing. They will throw stones, cause disturbance around town and do anything weird to stamp their authority.

However, this very controversial group is on the receiving end of a quarrel from activist Boniface Mwangi who has taken issue with their hypocrisy.

Boniface has bashed Gor fans for how they treated controversial MP Moses Kuria when Gor Mahia was facing Azam FC over the weekend in the Cecafa Kagame Cup finals.

Kuria was among the Kenyan crowd that descended in Dar es Salaam for the game, with Gor fans giving him a warm welcome as he donned their jersey.

It can be remembered that Moses Kuria is having cases in court for hate speech, and most of his hate is directed to majority of the fans who hail from the Luo community.

Boniface wondered why the fans embraced the controversial MP, saying they did so because he came with handouts for their team.

Boniface said:

Kenyan Hypocrisy

The rich man’s fart doesn’t smell. On Sunday 2nd,August 2015, Moses Kuria flew to Tanzania to watch the Gor Mahia Vs Azam game. Nothing special for a Kenyan to go watch a football match, except Moses Kuria is no ordinary Kenyan. He is the poster boy for hate speech in Kenya. His utterances have largely been against a community who arguably make up the largest percentage of Gor Mahia’s primary fans and he has two ongoing cases for hate speech. Never mind that he is a member of parliament who was elected unopposed because the president’s party wanted an attack dog against the opposition.

Moses Kuria’s support for Gor was celebrated by the usual twitter trolls. The paid twitter brigade retweeted images of Moses wearing a Gor T-shirt. Why was there so much excitement that a hate-monger was going to watch the game? Well, he was carrying a package of Ksh 500,000 for the cash strapped football team on behalf of Deputy President Ruto. Just because messenger Moses was carrying money, his hate speech stench was ignored.

On a daily basis Kenyans complain of corrupt politicians who steal and grab land but don’t question where the handouts politicians give us come from.

President Obama, whose visit we celebrated and whose speeches we lauded, is not known for his philanthropy or contributions to fundraisers. He was elected by young people who donated their own money to his campaign, trusting his vision for transformation. Kenya needs leaders who will create wealth for the people and provide jobs, not handouts.

Handouts by politicians is not leadership but a sad trickle refund of what they have stolen from the Kenyan taxpayers. We need to stop taking or celebrating these handouts. ‪#‎StopTheHypocrisy‬

Drama as a Man in Savagely Beaten To a Pulp in the Streets of Nairobi (WARNING: Extremely Graphic Images)

About 2 weeks ago a woman was savagely beaten by an angry mob after she was busted pilfering items.

Today, a man staggered on the streets opposite Fire Station along the stalls bleeding and spreading blood all over the streets.

When asked by some GSU officers on Patrol, the man who was disoriented and seriously bleeding claimed that the people in one of the stalls had beaten him.

The women in the stall who looked young and pretty harmless denied beating him saying that he came in bleeding and collapsed at the entrance of the stalls.

After a lot of push and pull, the officers took him to a Clinic close to the scene of the incident.

Ciku Muiruri Demands Justice For Student Pictured Clothless By Police Officers

The other day a photo showing private parts of a school girl was doing round social, much to the consternation of the public.

The photo was allegedly taken by police officers who nabbed a bus with students having sex, smoking bhang and drinking alcohol as they were on a tour in central.

The photo has since elicited mixed reactions from the public, with many condemning those who took it for infringing on the rights of children and minors.

This is the reason former radio Queen Ciku Muiruri is raging angrily at those who pictured the school girl whom it is allegedly has been sent to jail for being in possession of bhang in her underwears.

Ciku said:

As a mom of a teenager, two things. First, if my daughter was stripped and photographed naked at the hands of police officers, I would file a lawsuit so big against the state that their heads would spin. Secondly, I would use this threat to ensure that she doesn’t get charged with possession of weed, a crime that can see her locked up for up to 10 years. Our laws are stupid. A kid makes a mistake and you lock her up while Moses Kuria (who wants to chop people up) is still roaming free. Give me a freaking break! The holy herb never hurt no one. But pangas do.

Julie Gichuru Recives Clap-Back For ‘Shadily’ Ululating When Introducing Obama And Uhuru Kenyatta

From my community and I bet most African communities, there is no better and warmer way to welcome an important visitor than through ululation.

But Julie Gichuru sadly lost her cool points when she welcomed Uhuru Kenyatta and Obama to the GES summit with passionate ululation. Just like Bien who was trolled for whispering “gay words” (whatever that means) to Obama Julie Gichuru is receiving clap back for what they call ‘shady ululation’.

{youtube}R_u2vSldSPM{/youtube}

KOT especially have been generous with the disses but the final nail on the coffin came from Standard Group’s Silas Nyanchwani. A man who rose to fame for criticizing the Kikuyu cuisine dismissing it as being bland, boring and boiled.

“Worst Emceeing Award goes to Julie Gichuru; that ululation when introducing president Uhuru and president Obama was totally unwarranted, uncalled for and definitely the lowest moment in Kenya since a first lady walked to a media house and slapped some sense into journos for disrespecting her.” he wrote.

THE CORNER KICK | Why Ladies And Some Gentlemen Should Stop Making Drama Out Of The ‘Mollis’ Viral Audio

It just disgusts how we always try to make drama and create issues for non-issue things. Sometimes we become too judgmental and too inquisitive that we jump to conclusions that are so unwarranted and uncalled for.

The Mollis thing, I must say, has been blown out of proportion even when no one has the true source of the whole controversial audio. Because we are esteemed armchair analysts and social media critics, we tend to believe everything that pops up on social media and other places and give opinions that are aimed at hurting others as we smile all the way to our hoods.

When Philip Etemesi, a colleague here, drafted his opinion on why Mollis should be considered a legend, so many comments came in. In fact one of the readers wrote a whole article in the name of a comment, referring to Etemesi as one of those rapists masquerading as writers.

See also: 5 Reasons Why ‘Mollis’ Is A Legend

Etemesi has his own opinion. He is entitled to it. It is prudent, perhaps, to remind you that you have no right to judge someone because of their opinion. All you should do is put up yours and leave room for healthy arguments and criticism.

Many people have come out to argue differently about the ‘Mollis I Sullender’ thing. While some believe that Mollis was raping the lady in the audio, others have argued that Mollis did justice to the lady considering how the audio begins.

Mollis makes it clear in the audio that the lady was bothering him to have s3x with her. So he was here and the lady shouldn’t be complaining when she is getting more than she expected.

While I don’t want to look like I am siding with Mollis, I want to differ with those of us who have already convicted Mollis and the ilk that has opted to support him for the ‘justice’ he administered to the mourning lady in the audio (Etemesi, you already have my back).

As I said early, being too judgmental is disastrous to say the least. Before you sit and punch those qwerty keys on your PC, I wonder if you have imagined the genesis of this bedroom game gone sour. Have you tried to figure out what transpired before the part of the audio you have with you there hit the social media? Do you even think that there is a section of the whole thing wiped out? I mean when the whole thing started until when the lady starts to admit that she has sullendred (surrendered)?

She enjoyed all along, right? Mollis made a very big mistake, yes. And if at all I were to convict him I would do so because he never wanted to stop when the lady pleaded because she was exhausted.

There is a big difference between I surrender and STOP! These are two phrases with very different meanings. While surrender may mean to submit to something you thought you are smart in but met a smarter person than you, STOP means that. Stop!

I want to believe the lady did not mean stop by saying I surrender. I also want to believe by saying nimechoka (I am tired), she was telling Mollis to stop what she had been enjoying before and now it was overwhelming her.

Well, your opinion has room here too.

While at it, I stopped to ask myself: why were we so quick to believe this audio and go on a rampage when we are not sure of the source? Why are ladies and a section of men playing a jury here when they don’t even know if the audio really happened or it was just something scripted and stage-managed to dupe us into believing it?

Why haven’t we thought that this could be a distraction meant to make us forget the pressing issues like justice for Mercy Njeri and the woes of KQ and corruption in the country?

I know. It is because our generation has chosen to be very petty. I am petty too and this is why I am writing about Mollis and his sexual exploits.

I shouldn’t even be doing this, nkt! Bye!

Popular Journalist With The Standard Group Resigns.

Popular lawyer and Journalist, Wahome Thuku has finally left the employ of the Standard Group where he has been working at  since 2008.

He leaves the job only weeks after he had a brush with the CID after allegations that he had published objectionable comments on his social media which portrayed  Mukurwe-ini Member of Parliament in in bad light.

On a statement he wrote on his social media, Wahome Thuku wrote :

“…Speaking of opportunities and Gods blessings, my departure from Standard Group certainly opens another phase of life. I have been a full-time journalist since 2002 with only a one year break and now I intend to turn to law practice and to other personal engagements. Writing is however in my blood, the love of my life and I don’t intend to depart from that line. And if/when political ambitions will come calling, I will not shy away….”

Judging from the post, the lawyer has left Standard to concentrate on his Law career. He also hinted that he might be joining a passion of his, Politics.

He also went ahead to say that his relationship with his employer was still cordial and not the reason why he was leaving:

I have enjoyed each day at the Standard Group. I will miss all my colleagues particularly court writers, my senior editors who have inspired me greatly and all those I worked with. My only word to all, the opportunity you have is God given. There are millions of other Kenyans, more qualified, more hardworking, more intelligent, more diligent but have not had the chance to be where you are. Whatever you do, do it well. God bless you and God bless Kenya.

Kenyan Celebrities Viciously Condemn ‘Mollis’ .This Is Why

‘Mollis’ may be faceless but his antics in the bedroom are famous and have caught the country by storm. Countless men have applauded him, using names such as ‘legendary lover’ and a ‘beast in bed’ for his ability to make women scream ‘Nimsehoka, I Sullender’.

But not everyone is making light of this situation. Feminists from all walks of life have branded ‘Mollis’ a rapist with no respect for the word ‘NO’ and a creep for recording his sexcapade.

Kenyan celebrities have also weighed in on this issue, and here are a few celebrity reactions to ‘Mollis’

malu_molis.jpg

adelleonyango (Radio Presenter ): Thank you @marcusolang!!! The audio has shown how deeply rooted #RapeCulture is amongst us! Good thing is, now we know. Now we UNLEARN.

Mkamzee Chao Mwatela (Actress): What is clear: Very many men do not like themselves. Very many of these also do not like women (because you can’t hate where you came from and like yourself). Of these there are those who seek to prove their manhood by being rapists. Some are ‘ rapists in waiting’- because they are small and sad and think hurting someone else makes them better. Some women also really do not like themselves. They have been told time and again that they are worthless and seek to demonstrate their worth by laughing at a fellow woman in distress and thinking themselves better than her. All these people are sad. The bright side is, she will recover. It will be a long long road but she will. The hateful people sadly, will not. That is all that is clear right now.

Israel Robert Burale(Celebrity Pastor and Fashion Watch Panelist): So MOLLIS has become a hero. Some girls are dreaming of Mollis and Some men want to be like MOLLIS. KENYANS KENYANS!!!!! Do you realize this was actually a RAPE situation?!!!! On seven seconds the lady actually says @UNANIRAPE….yet we have made MOLLIS a hero??!!! This is as low as we can get as a society. Disgustingly LOW!!! Lord have mercy

The Sorry State Of Raphael Tuju’s Estranged Wife. This Is What She Does For A Living

The manner in which their 26 year marriage ended was so acrimonious and pathetic.

Raphael Tuju, former Rarieda MP and Foreign Affairs Minister, and his estranged wife Ruth Akinyi ended their relationship that spanned close to 26 years after the former accused the latter of adultery.

Tuju had gone to court to file for divorce after alleging that his long time wife Akinyi was having an affair with their bodyguard the late Tony Ogunda who was a GSU officer.

And after parting ways, Nairobian reports that Ms Akinyi is one woman who fell from grace to grass and now ‘sells food in a humble eatery along Mombasa Road’.

ruth akinyi

Ruth Akinyi before and after divorce. Photo: SDE

“She gets to work at 10 am where she prepares chapati, matumbo, fish, liver, beef stew and rice using charcoal jikos before selling the delicacies to hungry office workers along Mombasa Road,” the Nairobian further reports.

Akinyi is said to battle it out with other restaurants around the place, and has someone on the door step enticing people to come in and eat.

It is also reported that Akinyi’s restaurant offers food that ranges between 250/= and 450/=.

While Raphael Tuju is a business magnet, his former wife is struggling to make ends meet two years after they separated thanks to infidelity.

The two had three children before they separated.

Renowned City Pastor Speaks Out After He Was Linked To The Pastor Ng’ang’a Hit And Run Accident

The Pastor Ng’ang’a saga has been unfurling like layers of onions, because every day we come across a new piece of information.

We were initially informed that his Range Rover rammed into the car of Mercy Njeri her husband Martin Mbugua. Martin Mbugua escaped with his injuries but sadly his wife was not as fortunate as she succumbed to her injuries.

We were also told that the police were involved in a convoluted scheme to cover up Pastor Ng’anga’s involvement in the calamity. Now Bishop David Muriithi of House of Grace church has been linked to the death of this young woman as his car was allegedly used as the get-away car at the accident scene.

david_muttiith.jpg

The Bishop has come out to distance himself in this statement:

I have read in today’s Daily Nation allegation linking me to the ongoing saga and investigations on the accident that happened along Nairobi-Naivasha road. The accident resulted in the death of Mercy Njeri and injuries to her husband Martin Mbugua. At the onset, I send my condolences to the family of Ms Njeri and wish quick recovery to Mr Mbugua. Further, I wish to state that while I have all the confidence with the police service to get to the bottom of the matter and unearth the person responsible for the accident, I want to distance myself from the allegation being peddled in the media that one of my car was used as get away at the scene. Nothing could be further from the truth. At all the said time of the accident, my personal cars were within my control and would not have been anywhere near the scene of the accident. With nothing to hide on this matter, I call upon the investigating officers to release the registration numbers of the vehicles involved and the names of the owners, which are readily available from the registrar of motor vehicle to clear the matter.Linking my name to this unfortunate incidence has caused distress to myself, my family and the House of Grace congregation. I, therefore, demand that the said statement be withdrawn and an apology issued failure to which I will seek legal redress. I wish to reassure the church, friends and entire body of Christ that I have nothing to do with this matter and I have contacted Nation media group to retract the libelous statement and that my innocence will soon be vindicated. God bless.

So has he been cleared off these charges, find out in the next page.

Well he has not yet been cleared off the charges as demonstrated by this statement he sent out:

Dear friends,

I write to thank you for the support and prayers you accorded me yesterday as we fought to quell the malicious report linking my cars to the Nairobi-Naivasha road accident that resulted in death of Ms Mercy Njeri. I am grateful for your continued support, trusting in the almighty that the truth shall set us free.

I reiterate my call to the investigating officers to speedily release the details of the cars involved to avoid speculation and bring those involved to justice.

The National Police Service owe it to the family of Ms Njeri and the entire nation the truth. Ms Njeri family needs closure while the public need to know that justice is still our shield and defender.

Thank you very much and may God bless you.

Bishop David Muriithi.

Kenya Gives CNN A Hard Tackle After Hotbed Of Terror Slur

Kenya has cut ties with Cable News Network (CNN) following a slur that aimed to portray the country as one of the most insecure places in the world.

The country has suspended a multi-million shilling marketing communication deal with the American media house in the latest sign of an escalating row over a recent terrorism slur.

CNN referred to Kenya as a hotbed of terror on the day that US President Barack Obama left America for Kenya as the first ever US President to visit the country.

Kenya sought an apology from the media house but it was clear that it was not forthcoming.

The Kenya Tourism Board (KTB), a State agency that markets the country’s attractions, said the move was necessary to avoid backlash from Kenyans angered by the “misrepresentation on the country’s security status”, reports Business Daily.

KTB CEO Ndegwa Muriithi is quoted as saying, “Some narrative adverts were already running on CNN as we planned launch of above-the-line TV campaigns with them but we suspended all of that.”

The slur by CNN greatly angered Kenyans who took to twitter to roast it, attracting the attention of the world.

Kenyan Singers and Socialite Throng The United Kingdom… Kwani Kulikoni?

The Barclays Premier League is returning with a bang tomorrow after a three months break. Now if you are not a football enthusiast you could excuse for boring you already. Look, it is the most loved sport in the world and the most loved league in the world is kicking off tomorrow.

My Chelsea will be hosting Wales’ Swansea as Manchester United welcome Tottenham Hotspurs to the Theatre of Dreams, Old Trafford (God help Spurs).

Don’t quarrel why I have deviated from the main point. You see, Nameless, Willy Paul, Size 8, Vera Sidika and DJ Mo have all flown out to the UK. Many would think they are out there to watch the first EPL games of the 2015/16 season. No.

willy paul 4

Willy Paul in England

While we want to believe they are there for their music and other errands and Vera Sidika for her… salon? Butt repair? Bleach repair? I don’t know, we are not sure of what has taken all these artistes to the United Kingdom.

nameless 4

Nameless arrives in England

Some of the questions we may ask ourselves include: are they out there for promotional tours? Are they recording from England? Are they collaborating in England? Are they out for a retreat? Is Vera out there to hawk her punani?

Well, when they come back, we definitely will let you know the reasons why they flew out.

Socialite Beef: Vera Sidika Ferociously Bashes Huddah Monroe Again

These socialites will kill us someday I swear. Not even the controversial Mollis I sullender audio has distracted them from their show-offs. They want the world to accord unwarranted attention and so they do anything they can to get it.

Funny enough, we have succumbed to their theatrics and so… here we are, talking about them.

Vera Sidika and Huddah, the most popular socialites on the land, are not seeing eye to eye. They have literally had a bad week between them and it seems things are not getting any better as we draw closer to the Sabbath.

It all started when Huddah downloaded photos from the internet, posted them on her instagram account and bragged how she is an established farmer who rakes humongous amounts of money which she uses to visit plush regions of the world.

By the way I didn’t know growing sukuma wiki, tomatoes, red pepper, cucumbers and many other perishable crops could fly me out to Monte Carlo, Paris, Ibiza, et al. I should already be asking my father to give me some piece of land to start raking in money.

Vera responded sarcastically by sharing one of the downloaded photos and made fun out of it. Oh boy this was beginning of the escalating situation we are seeing now! These women will claw each other when they meet, I swear.

Huddah then wrote a novel yesterday bashing those who want to copy everything she does. The voyeurs. And among them, it is believed, is Vera Sidika who recently acquired a range rover 2015, years after Huddah bought hers.

So Vera felt the spank on her humongous butt and has opted to respond, this time angrily and ferociously.

The bleached socialite wrote:

Sitting here thinking… Human beings never cease to amaze me. Just because u bought your dream car a little much later (of which was the right time to u); they be like “you are copying me” Just because you decide to travel around when you find time to do so “oh you wanna be me so bad” Niggah please. You don’t own none of these countries Neither own RAnge Rover Co. to ban me from purchasing. So, I do what I like. If you feel I’m Tryna be you then try owning a continent or two.Or buy RR brand n ban me from it. Ladies,Nobody should change your dreams and make u feel like u shouldn’t go for it. Ladies,Nobody should change your dreams and make u feel like u shouldn’t go for it. Keep chasing your dreams & don’t let anybody block you from achieving the best in life. People should get over this “you’re copying me, Tryna be me” childish BS. Do something EPIC. Something just you and no other species can claim ownership to.
something “not open to public” Otherwise we all ain’t the first or last people to own things or go places.

Its former stars Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell who acted as brothers Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrows will feature once again.

wentworth1

And the return of the series has greatly excited Kenyans who have made it the top trend on Twitter.

Wondering why Michael Scofield will feature yet he died? Well, Dana joked that his demise would be ignored without going into specific detail.

“You will get a satisfying answer as to why these characters are still alive,” Dana said.

Kenyan movie enthusiasts have already expressed their delight at the return of the series and are saying they cannot help to wait for the premier of its season five.

Prison Break originally ran for four seasons as majority of its characters faded away, with many believing it had to stop because of the tight schedule they had.

Zambian Journalist and Lawyer’s Moving Tribute to Blogger Bogonko Bosire of ‘Jackal News’ Who Has Been Missing For 2 Years

Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months sand sadly months have turned into years and still no sign of Bogonko Bosire. The disheveled nihilist man commonly referred to as BB disappeared around the time the Westgate attack took place. No one knows whether he is dead or alive as his body wa not found in the ill-fated mall.

In memory of the famous ‘Jackal News ’ Blogger, his former colleague Dickson Jere a Zambian Lawyer and Journalist wrote this tribute:

On my first day at the Nairobi AFP Bureau, I was met by amedium-sized scruffy-looking man with unkempt hair.He wore a dirty pair of jeans and an untucked collarless red T-shirtwith bloodlike stains.

He extended a strong handshake to welcome me to the AFP offices situated inthe 17-storey International House on Mama Ngina Streetin the Kenyan capital’s central business district.

“My name is BB,” he said while holding my hand firmly.

His smile exposed protruding scissor-like creamy teeth that looked like they had not been brushed in months. Nonetheless his smile was welcoming for a new comer to “Nairobbery” as hecalled it.

“Do women in Zambia wear petticoats,” he shot a question at me.

Before I could even attempt an answer, the scruffy man handed me a print out of a blog he had just finished writing bemoaning “the demise of petticoats” in Kenya and why this “important garment” had to be brought back.

“It served a purpose,” he said as he lit his cigarette while smiling to himself.

“Edit (Sub) it for me,” he said, as he pointed at of one of the huge desktop computers mounted on tables in an open office-the newsroom of the French news agency’s East Africa Bureau.

Dozens other journalists seated on a circular table, punching away at the computer keyboards waved at me as a welcome gesture while one by one they chorused their names.

They formed the AFP news crew in Nairobi which covered the entire East Africa and I was to be one of them.

“I need to upload my petticoat story on my blog in the next few minutes,” saidthe man I came to know as Bogonko Bosire, or BB as was the custom in AFP to use initials on copy going out on the wire.

Bogonko, I later learnt, was a popular blogger with a huge following in Kenya especially among the political elites and media. He had a talent for social commentary and his sharp blogging enraged his targets some of whom threatened him with consequences including death but he would not relent.

The very day we met, we clicked like we had known each other for years. We just got along and we both had the hobby of reading books.

“Let’sgo fishing….” Bogonko beckonedto me at lunchtime.

Fishing was a term he constantly used for eating fish and ugali in one of those dingy restaurants crammed in arcades between shops in Nairobi’s CBD. His love for untidy and filthy places fitted in well with his appearance and was in contrast to own appearance which was centred on well-pressed shirts and jackets. He called me “Mr. Politician” for it. Reputation was not something that worried him at all.

I had joined the Nairobi news crew to beef up the AFP coverage of Somalia following the escalating war in that failed State. As a foreign correspondent, I was well paid with a weekly stipend for upkeep which wasenough disposable income for outings. My usual company became Bogonko – workmate-cum-drink mate.

Lunch breaks were for quaffing.

Tuskers for me and Guinness for Bogonko.

“Shit, we are not going back to the office, we shall file from here,” he would often tell me when he had had a lot with tears oozing from his eyes which he wiped off with his forefingers.

“Am feeling lazy to climb those stairs at the office,” he would make the excuse, fidgeting with his notebook as he pressed a call to the English Desk in Paris.

In his drunken stupor, Bogonko could dictate a story to that desk, with quotes and colour and sometimes on the cellphone while chatting with patrons in a noisy place.

He was a journalist par excellence who loved his job as a local correspondent for the AFP and blogger. He always carried a book to read even in bars.

“I own the news,” he would say in a low tone to assure me not to worry about missing anynews story while in the beer hall. Truly, he was well connected to news sources across the region and almost always the first to get tipped of any breaking story.

“Unlike me who owns the news, they report the news,” he said in jest, referring to our competition, Reuters and Associated Press(AP)-the world’s largest news wire service and competed with AFP on who breaks the news first. It used to be cutthroat.

The days that followed were crazy.

The Somali war escalated. Bogonko and I handled the overnight feeds from our stringers in Mogadishu. It meant sleeping in the office, updating the developing story every few minutes to give the world real time news.

It was Bulletins, Urgent, Updates, Recasts, and Overnighters – stories on mortar attacks, bombs and grenade attacks with swirling figures of the injured and death that I have ever covered in my life. The coverage was exhausting. We monitored our stories being picked up by CNN, BBC and others at a big television set perched in the newsroom.

“My brother Somalis are not serious people. So why should we take their story serious,” was the usual line from my new workmate.

Such a discourse from Bogonko had a hidden agenda. It was a hint for me and him to temporarily abandon work and crossover the Mama Ngina Street to Potterhouse, a pub right opposite our offices where the Kenyan elites hanged out after hours.

“And Paris?” I asked in reference to our headquarters in France from where we were bombarded with notes, texts and telephone calls for more updates and pictures from Mogadishu.

“The French are equally not serious. Where is our Bureau Chief?” He asked in reference to our French boss who had gone on vacation to Mombasa in the midst of a big story.

“We are not slaves, so we also will go on vacation to the Potterhouse for Guinness ,” Bogonko said before doing a jig in the officefacing a CCTV camera and then burst into a loud laugh.

The rest of the journalists in the newsroom would not pay attention to him. They had had enough of his “madness!”

At Potterhouse, he talked ceaselessly on how he owns the news. The who’s who of Kenya, in suits and neckties, competed for his attention. Clearly he was the man to know- a celebrity of sorts.

Bogonko was not shy to express his views even unpleasant ones to the patrons. It is no wonder that years after I left Kenya, he setup a popular blog called the Jackal News whose motto resonated his unorthodox belief that – “Because we own the news and gossip, you are a source or target”. And he became a thorn in many people’s lives with his Jackal news whose following swelled as he continued to expose scams, corruption and even bribery among his media colleagues.

Bogonko was also a gifted writer and analyst with unmatched flair and prose for stories. He rightly predicted to me that Uhuru Kenyatta would end up as president of Kenya and it came to pass with Bogonko playing a major role in endorsing and supporting Kenyatta during the campaigns.

He was a real jackal.

On September 20th, 2013, a day before the Westgate Mall terrorist attack, Bogonko went missing without any trace and was never to be seen again. Next month will mark two years since the “man who owns the news” disappeared just like that. This piece is part of my tribute to Bogonko Bosire, whom I ironically shared the first name of Dickson although he never used it opting for his African names. I therefore join the rest of Bogonko fans and friends in spreading the hash tag WhereisBogonkoBosire?

Sauti Soul’s Bien Is A Male Stripper! (Evidence)

Male stripper really? Ladies will be curious to know how and where he offers his services. I mean is this not the same dude that was making women pee in their panties after ‘Nishike’ dropped?

Sauti Sol’s Bien-Aimé Baraza, seems to have a knack for courting controversies. Only some two days ago Robert Alai blasted him over the alleged gay words he whispered in President Obama’s ears.

See also: Sauti Sol’s Bien On The Spot After He Allegedly Whispered Gay Words In The Ears Of President Obama

Now the tall chap is at it again! He couldn’t hide it no more; Bien has opened his heart to reveal he is a male stripper.

Yes! Bien indeed confirmed he can shake his stiff ass harder than Magic Mike. He dressed in one of those male strippers’ costumes, posed for the photo and then dashed to social media to break the hot news.

As if that’s not enough, Bien further added that he wants to be a male socialite. Perhaps one that will water down Vera Sidika’s influence!

Caution though! Don’t treat Bien’s words that serious, not unless you witness him practicing what he claims he is!

Fashion Diary: Now That The Cold Weather Is Here, Here Are Five Classic Ways Of Wearing A Scarf.

Scarfs are a great way of accessorizing your look especially throught the cold season or during chilly mornings or evenings. But like most fashion accessories, scarfs are an art,to pull it off like a dapper brother is the  thin line between dapper and drab

Scarves come in different sizes, shades and material/fabric- While cashmere makes the best scarves due to its texture, it is off limit to many as it is overly expensive. But there are a great deal many scarves out there that are not cashmere!

Here are five quick ways of donning that scarf like a boss!

1. Scarf and suits.

You can have your tie on for this , or you can chose not to- it is all about what gets you off. It does not limit guys who have day jobs from having fun while rocking that suit.

A  smart casual look, If you are a calssic man, this is perfect for dinner with the mrs.

0292c0d8b99f8aa1060cc6883263a947.jpg

This is for the official guy who has a day job-

2. Scarves and Sweaters

By sweaters I took into consideration, cardigans and everything that falls under that category.

David Beckam on that scarf swag, the scarves, it would be imperative to note can be worn in varying styles and knots like the one below.

5fc8f8f681771c91c01c1cb821f796a6.jpg

3. Scarves And Jackets.

Jackets here can be used lightly to refer to those blazers, trench coats, leather jackets and what have you.

A scarf can be draped  loosely then  tucked in the jacket for than dapper scarf hint.

43724bdf96e8df564fd0de8e74927593.jpg

4. Layering

layering is a term describing a way of dressing using many garments that are worn on top of each other especially during this chilly season.

A scarf will come in handy when you need to layer, you can match the shade of the scarf to at least one shade of your garment. for example:

2c10c476dfa89024bb22e4fe9bbc205e.jpg

5. Scarf as a snood.

A snood is technically speaking,a scarf that has a hood that can be worn on the head but still function as a scarf draped round the neck. It is pretty easy to do a snood when you have a big scarf like…
