Celebrated TV girl Janet Mbugua is definitely relishing the day she will become a mother for the very first time in her marriage.

A lot has been happening in Janet’s life in 2015 alone, with the peek being her lavish wedding with her fiancé Eddie Ndichu, a banker who mastered the art of banking in the heart of the Citizen TV siren.

Then there is the pregnancy. As revealed early, Janet fell pregnant even before she was walked down the aisle by Eddie.

She initially revealed what she went through during the preparations for the wedding as she was already carrying her child.

And now the TV girl has opened up about her reactions the first time she realized she was pregnant.

Speaking to an Resolution Insurance, Janet said she was shocked at first on learning she would become a mother for the first time in her life.

“As the doctors took my vitals and checked my cardio, I kept telling them, ‘I need an ultrasound. There’s something here (pointing to the lower left side of my abdomen)’. You could see them looking at my like I’m such a smarty-pants but I was insistent. So when my bladder was full enough, I was finally taken to do my ultrasound. The nurse was a kind, older lady with a wide, warm smile. As I exposed my belly to have that oh-so-cold gel spread over my abdomen, I remember my leg was shaking a bit. Now I was about to find out if I had some kind of condition. I mean, she could say anything at any moment…and the first thing she says (in a way, she was asking me) is, ‘You’re pregnant?’

‘I don’t know’, I said. Confused and amused at the same time. What was she asking me? Believe it or not it hadn’t yet sunk in, until she TOLD me, ‘You’re pregnant,” Janet told the insurance company.

She says that her response could be mistaken to mean she was not ready for the child but she was very happy about it. The first thing she did was to tell her fiancé and luckily he was very happy too.

“‘Oh’.

Don’t get me wrong, I was calm and excited about the news, but I think my response made her nervous. Maybe she was dealing with someone who wasn’t ready to have a child. I quickly said, ‘I’m so happy’. And I was!

The rest of the morning went by in a blur. All I wanted to do was call my fiancé and share the news! I’m glad he was as thrilled as I was!”

Everybody has been singing Julius Yego’s name after the javelin thrower surpassed his own record in the ongoing IAAF Championships in Beijing, China.

Yego who learnt javelin through You Tube stunned many when he reached 92.72 metres, the 3^rd longest throw in javelin history.

This is the reason why Governor Mutua has not minced words on Yego and his achievements. The governor took to his social media account to shower congratulatory messages on Yego, marveling at how he and others have made Kenya proud.

“Congratulations to Julius Yego for winning the javelin gold medal for Kenya in the ongoing World Championships in Beijing, China. He has broken the National record for the 4th time this year by throwing 92.72M. Its the longest throw in 14 years and the 3rd longest ever. Najivunia kuwa Mkenya,” Mutua said of Yego.

Yego joined several other Kenyan athletes who have put the country on top of the table with 11 medals, 6 of them being gold.

Other than terrorism, that  other thing that is probably on the same gravity is the  annoying cliques of campus-going, noisy broke chics who show up for dates when you had just invited a girl you’re hitting on for an evening date.

Celebrated runner Ezekiel Kemboi made history on Monday when he won his 4^th consecutive gold for Kenya in the 3,000 Men Steeplechase.

Kemboi, as usual, broke into his signature dance after leading other three Kenyans to sweep the medals in Beijing, China.

Back home in Eldoret, the Mecca of Athletics was glued to the screens  as residents watched their son make history many miles away.

Kemboi’s family in particular was glued in a hotel in Eldoret to watch the runner win the gold.

For many years, and more severely in recent once, Kenyan football fans have intensified their violence and destruction of property every time their teams take to the field to clash in mouthwatering encounters.

The most notorious fans, however, without fear of self-contradiction, are the Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards.

They call the clash between the two teams as the Mashemeji Derby but what normally happens is contrary to the name of the face-off between the most successful clubs in Kenyan football history.

The most recent was the fracas that ensued last weekend when Gor and AFC faced off at the Nyayo National Stadium.

The match was abandoned in the 69^th minute after fans caused trouble, prompting police to lob teargas canisters as stones flew in the air, leaving several fans with serious head injuries.

I was there personally and among the things that were happening in the stadium was bhang smoking and alcoholism at its best.

But how do fans get this bhang considering it is a banned substance in Kenya and most parts of the world? Well, this is the man who freely hawks bhang in the stadium.

According to blogger Robert Alai, he is the man responsible for the violence always experienced in big games.

Alai believes it is after smoking his bhang that fans go wild and start hooliganism. 

“PeddlerAmani: He sells bhang in the stadium. So the fans get a reason to cause damage,” Alai wrote.

Yesterday the world’s attention shifted from the World Championships after two journalists were shot to death live on air.

Alison Parker, 24, and cameraman Adam Ward, 27 from Virginia, were fatally gunned down and their interviewee Vicki Gardner, head of the Smith Mountain Lake Chamber of Commerce was gravely injured.

It is alleged that the man responsible for these death was a disgruntled former television reporter named Vester Flanagan. The killer then killed himself after this heinous act.

Julius Yego made history yesterday when he won gold for Kenya by becoming the first Kenyan to throw 92.72M in javelin, setting the 3^rd longest distance in ;the history of javelin in the world.

Yego is famously known for learning the sport through you tube, earning himself the name you tube man.

And after his heroics in Beijing on Wednesday, elated Kenyans on Twitter quickly came up with the hash tag #ThingsYegoCanThrow.

Yaya Toure is arguably Africa’s finest footballer currently, having won the best African player award three times consecutively.

His prowess on the ball talks volumes for itself. Manchester City is always a threat in the English Premier League thanks to the genius of the Ivorian. Ask CHELSEA and they will tell this is no joke.

Yaya loves sport. He loves Kenya too.

The footballer was in the country in June after becoming Airtel ambassador in Africa, and on his tour to the country he must have noticed something about Kenyans.

According to Yaya Toure, Kenyans love sport and this is the reason why Kenyans have continued to shine in the ongoing IAAF World Championships in Beijing.

Sonko now wants to extend the reach of his team to serve Kenyans in diaspora, especially compatriots living in the Middle East.

For a while, Kenyans in Arab countries have been decrying mistreatment by their hosts. Some have returned home in coffins while many others are still locked liked cage animals.

The cries of Kenyans suffering in the Middle East reached Sonko and it’s for this reason that the philanthropic Nairobi Senator now wants to set up offices for his rescue team to be responding to the plights of countrymen and women.

Sonko revealed his plan while he was visiting Arab City of Dubai where he took his entire family for a vacation.

When an important visitor comes to your area, he or she is given V.I.P treatment.

In addition to the royal treatment, they are at times given gifts as a sign of appreciation especially if the important person helps in the development of the said area. We saw it when Uhuru presented Obama with some gifts and now the first lady received various gifts from Machakos County residents which presented by Alfred Mutua’s wife, Lillian Nganga.

This was after she presented the 32nd ‘Beyond Zero’ mobile clinic to Machakos County. The gifts included two baskets popularly called kiondo, necklaces, bracelets, traditional garb and a painting.

I know this one has found you off-guard. So it did to me. I mean no one knew the Citizen TV Swahili anchor was hospitalized. If you did you should have told us.

Early today, Kanze Dena has revealed that she has finally been discharged after spending a few days in Marter Hospital where she was receiving treatment.

Details of Kanze’s sickness remain scanty to date but the good thing is she is getting well.

“So greatful to God am going home today..shukrani zangu to the medics@materhospital..#greatfulforgoodhealth. Thank you papa”, Kanze wrote.

Her colleague, Lulu Hassan, was also grateful that her friend was finally leaving hospital after the sickness.

She said:

Glory to the Almighty my dadaa is out of hospital….

Early today, Pastor James Maina Ng’ang’a was given a lifeline when the court declined a request by police to compel the man of the cloth to take his DNA samples as part of the evidence against the case he faces.

Pastor Ng’ang’a allegedly killed Mercy Njeri on 26^th July, 2015 along the Nakuru-Nairobi highway through reckless driving.

But the televangelist has suffered yet another blow after his lead lawyer Cliff Ombeta withdrew from the case.

The lawyer said he took the step for lack of proper directions on the case.

“LAWYER Cliff Ombeta withdraws from Pastor James Ng’ang’a’s road accident case, cites lack of proper directions,” Citizen TV tweeted.

Lawyers Cliff Ombeta and Assa Nyakundi went to court last Wednesday to block the arrest of the controversial preacher, something that failed as Ng’ang’a ended up eating beans at Gigiri Police Station for two consecutive nights.

Huddah Monroe has been roasted severely and ceaselessly by Kenyans for close to the three years she has been in showbiz.

Thanks to her blonde moments,shower hour photos and her Instagram stunting fails, Huddah has read and heard  the most horrible things imaginable about herself on social media.

Now Huddah Monroe takes it a notch higher as she will now be roasted in front of a live audience, by her friends Chipukeezy and Eric Omondi.

Anything goes in a roast, misogyny,racism,literately every type of joke that will earn you side-eyes from the public. So this suits Huddah because no one can take a thrashing quite like Huddah can as she has a skin so thick, a crocodile would be envious .

Others who will participate in the roast include comics such as Karis and Sleepy David.

Controversial political analyst, Mutahi Ngunyi, stepped on the toes of Kenya’s MOST proud ethnic group and they hit back hard.

An apology was a bitter pill to swallow for one Mr. Ngunyi. Anyhow he ultimately expressed unreserved remorse in the long run.

Well, Luopeans weren’t going to accept his apology just like that, hell no way! They have come up with conditions that even baffled Mike Sonko himself.

The Nairobi Senator expressed his regret to the controversial political analyst since he couldn’t rescue him from the wrath of Luopeans.

“I have received this but it’s beyond Sonko Rescue team services.” Wrote Sonko while referring to conditions folks from Lake Region wanted Mutahi to meet.

Controversial man of the cloth James Maina Ng’ang’a is all smiles, temporarily though, after court declined request by police to compel the televangelist to produce DNA samples.

The court argued that evidence should have been collected before the case started and so it couldn’t allow police to collect DNA samples to further pin down the controversial preacher.

Pastor Ng’ang’a is accused of killing Mercy Njeri a month ago through reckless driving along the Nakuru-Nairobi highway.

The preacher allegedly hit the car coming from the opposite direction as he drove on the wrong side of the road and killed Mercy instantly and left her husband critically injured.

The pastor then colluded with some police officers from Tigoni Police station to cover-up the incident, only to be smoked out by Kenyans who launched a series of calls to have justice served to the deceased.

Pastor Ng’ang’a was arrested and spent two nights in Gigiri Police Station and appeared in court where he was released on a 1M bond.

Then latest ruling by court is a major blow to the investigators of the saga.
