Ghafla Exclusive: Royal Media Goes Shopping Again,Poaches Another Top Radio Personality!

Royal Media has dealt Mediamax’s Milele FM a potent blow by poaching one of  the top radio producers at the station.

Kelvin Migongo commonly known as Kijana Patpaat has today signed a contract with Royal media services in a move that will see him start a new  career path  with the rival media station.

Kelvin is behind the popular Carribean Connection ( one of the most listened to reggae show in Kenya) a brand that he will probably be taking to Royal media services. It has not been made clear which station he will be joining, but there are speculations that he might be joining Hot 96 which already has a reggae show (Drop Zone) run by Shix Kapyenga and Raptcha.

Kelvin declined to comment on the move, saying in  a text message to Ghafla: “All shall be made clear in good time..”

Ghafla was however able to obtain exclusively the above letter of appointment sent to Kelvin by Royal Media.

We shall keep you lau fait with the story as soon as we get more information.

Safaricom And Airtel Kiss And Make-Up

In the jungle of telecommunications in Kenya, two giants stand out, Safaricom and Airtel.

Despite being famous the two corporate don’t really see eye to eye, but today they were in rare form. The two decided to hug it out on Twitter in the spirit of World peace day, much to the amusement of their followers.

airtel_vs_saf.jpg

The International Day of Peace is observed around the world on 21 Septembers as a day “devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and peoples.”

And this year’s theme is “Partnerships for Peace – Dignity for All”

Sonko Dashes To The Rescue Of Striking Teachers With A VERY Generous Monetary Offer

Sonko Rescue Team could have been disbanded but that doesn’t mean the bighearted Nairobi Senator has been impeded from continuing with his philanthropy.

The prevailing teachers’ strike has continued paralyzing learning in all public and recently, private schools. With no solution in the horizon, Sonko has moved in to offer teachers something worthwhile.

Believe it or not, the generous lawmaker is offering teachers half of his salary just to make sure they go back to classes.

“I’m ready for a 50% salary cut in order to pay our teachers. I’ll file a motion in Senate for 50% salary cut for Senators and other highly paid officers.” Wrote Sonko.

But how much does a Senator earn? According to the pay structure Salaries and Remuneration Commission published in 2013, Senators are among the highest paid persons in the country.

The figure was Kes Sh740,927. That means Sonko is offering to give teachers 370k or better, earn the same amount a month.

One thing though, how many Senators do you know will allow their salaries to be trimmed?? Sonko surely has a mountain to climb before his proposal see the light of the day.

Without This Guy, Bonoko and Mbusii Would Not Be Who They Are Now

Mbusii (Jambo Radio) and Bonoko (Ghetto Radio) are currently one of the most sough-after radio presenters in the country.

This is because they appeal to a large, formerly neglected part of the population, the Nairobi urban youth especially those who do not come from well-to-do neighborhoods.

Was it not for someone discovering their true potential, maybe Bonoko and Mbusii would not be as popular as they are now. Just like most people who have made it to the top, they had some help .And theirs was from Citizen TV’s Job Mwaura who does the popular ‘Mgaagaa na Upwa’ segment on Citizen TV. He gave them the first appearance on TV together with the ‘Merimela’ singer enabling them to reach higher levels.

Job started his career in 2010 at Citizen TV after working as an intern for close to 3 months after coming from humble beginnings as a boda boda operator before paying his way through school using odd jobs. Maybe that is why he had an inclination to help others get to the top.

Check out Mbusii and Bonoko on ‘Mgaagaa na Upwa’

We Want Our ‘Gay’ Priest Back Othaya Worshippers Demand

Earlier this month, the Anglican Church of Kenya was in the news after it suspended five of its priest from its Mt. Kenya diocese on the grounds of engaging in homosexuality with young men in the church.

The five were from Othaya, Murang’a, Nyeri and Karatina towns and were facing expulsion from the church had the investigations concluded they were guilty of the alleged actions. However, the Anglican worshippers in Othaya are demanding the reinstatement of their priest and boycotted services as they camped outside the church and demanded the reinstatement of the ousted priest Archdeacon Gacharu and mocked the priest sent to preside over the church Reverend Samuel Maina.

According to the church goers, the allegations are fabricated as they have not seen the young men who are said to have engaged in homosexuality with the priest. The Anglican Church of Kenya has been engaged in controversy concerning the sexual activities of several of its priests countrywide and launched a nationwide investigation into the claims.

This Swanky Limo Will Leave Your Jaw On The Floor (PHOTO)

I think there is one thing we can all agree on, nothing looks quite as good as a well-maintained classic, state-of-the art car.

And classic and vintage car enthusiasts will certainly be pleased to check out the latest entry into the upcoming Concours D’elegance

The star attraction will be from Uganda and it will be the 1937 Wolseley of Kalvins Kagwa which was ferried to Nairobi by truck. The three litre Wolseley was a popular limousine in pre-World War ll Britain and Kagwa’s machine will become the first example to appear at the competition.

CONCURS_LIMO.jpg

Photo: The 1937 Wolseley

Among Kagwa’s rivals for honours in the class for pre-1940 cars will be the 1939 Ford Model Acoupe of Simon Fisher and Ramesh Gupta’s 1926 Ford Model which will be the oldest car in contention. The favourite“golden oldies” are Diccon Wilcock’s 1934 Railton and the 1928 Ford Model A Tudor of Phoenix Aviation which are both previous overall winners.

The Vintage Motorcycle Club of South Africa is represented by three impressive bikes which will pull spectators to the motorcycle enclosure. Professional heavy weight boxer Bevan Beckmann will be astride his 1946 Harley Davidson, Piet Maas has prepared a rare 1927 Raleigh and Gerald Roelofs is pinning his hopes on a 1925 Triumph. The South Africa contingent has been sponsored by the Galleria Shopping Mall and Jubilee has insured the valuable machines.

The classiest event on the motor sport calendar has a full field of 70 cars and 40 motorcycles which is the maximum allowed by the regulations. These limits have been set to ensure high standards of judging.

The list of Concours cars and motorcycles shows a happy mix of newcomers and regulars. Among the cars which spectators will see for the first time is a 1962 Triumph Herald which is being prepared by Magdi Riad to compete in the crowd pulling sports car class. His rivals include Jaspal Kalsi in a flame red 1972 Alfa Romeo Spider, a 1957 Mercedes 190SL prepared and entered by DT Dobie and Sati Gata Aura’s 1947 MG TC.

Sati Gata Aura recently bought this iconic British sports car from Brian Barton who was placed second in the class last year. Gata-Aura has won the overall prize in his 1977 Nissan 160J three times and has been on the podium 21 times. He is completely rebuilding the MG TC and is one of the favourites for an outright win on September 27th.

In past years Adrian Washika has shown a Volkswagen Beetle and he has now switched to a 1961 VW Karmann Ghia to compete in the up to 1,300 cc touring car class. He will be up against Paul Chemngorem who has taken home many prizes for his 1967 VW Karmann Ghia.

Working in his home garage at Gilgil Fergus Robley has been painstakingly turning a derelict 1967 Alfa Romeo sports coupe into an endurance rally car. The gleaming red Alfa will add interest to the class for competition cars. This also features a replica of the 1974 Lancer which the legendary Jodginder Singh drove to victory in the Safari Rally.

The classes for over 3,000 cc cars are always popular with Concours spectators who throng the Total Quartz inspection ramp and the judging line in front of the main Racecourse grand stands. The 1965 Jaguar E-type of Alec Davis has been rebuilt to new condition. This iconic British sport coupe will be greatly admired on September 27th. Phoenix Aviation’s 1951 Jaguar Mark V limousine is ranged against the Rolls Royce of Rajesh Lakhani made in the same year and Roger Tanner’s 1949 Bentley Mark VI which is the oldest car in the group.

For cars the assessment process starts on the Total Quartz inspection ramp where officials check the underside. Subsequently cars are driven in front of the Racecourse grandstands for officials to mark the paintwork, interior and engine compartment. Motorcycles are judged in a similar way in the parade ring.

Additional attractions to the main event include 28 motor trade stands, live band music, fly pasts, a free fall parachute drop and two grand finale shows. There will also be the Heritage Collection of old equipment and machinery which will feature a 1919 steam engine and a Ferguson tractor.

One of the overseas visitors attending this year’s Concours will be Marco Fazio who heads the historic section of the Alfa Romeo company in Milan and is in charge of the museum and liaison with Alfa Clubs around the world. He will be meeting with the Concoursorganisers before making an assessment of the event on September 27th.

When the founder members of the Alfa Romeo Owners Club (Kenya) gathered in the grounds of the Spread Eagle Hotel (which was the site of the present day Safari Park Hotel) to celebrate the first anniversary of the Club by holding an internal Concours d’Elegance, they never envisaged that the event would one day have an international following.

The impressive variety of cars and bikes contesting the CBA Africa Concours d’Elegance in recent years at the Nairobi Racecourse has attracted international attention. The Concours has been covered by BBC, SABC, Reuters, AFP, AP, EATV, UTV and DSTV giving Kenya favourable publicity.

Shock As MP Shares Photos Of Albino Killed For Ritual Purposes (Photos)

Albinos have been forced to be very watchful of their steps following cases of bizarre killings by knuckleheads who are hunting them for their body parts.

Nonini has been on the forefront with Colour Kwa Face foundation trying to change the preconceived notion about Albinos. But clearly it seems some very stupid people have declined to heed to his plea.

While it’s common knowledge the only difference between albinos and ‘normal’ people is the absence of melanin pigment in their skin, there are some dunderheads who think Albino body parts could help them acquire wealth.

Nominated MP, Isaac Mwaura, caused emotions to run high when he shared photos of an albino who succumbed to injuries inflicted by a deranged person who robbed him of his dear life because of his skin color.

The deceased, only known as Jamenya, bore deep wound cuts on his head and his fingers. Mwaura called upon relevant authorities to take stringent action against those found culpable of such kind of attacks.

May the good Lord rest the deceased’s soul in eternal peace!

Emotions Run High As Anne Kiguta Bids Farewell To Citizen TV’s Head Honcho

As Peter Opondo is on his way out of Media Max another head honcho has left Citizen TV.

His name is Mr. Dixon Ng’ang’a (formerly of Standard Media) who was the leader of the amazing newsroom team that is Citizen TV’s squad.

Before his departure late last year, Alex Chamwada penned an emotional letter, giving reasons why he had to quit Citizen TV and giving a special shout out to Ng’ang’a. Now Anne Kiguta had this to say about her boss and a personal friend, Nixon.

Saying goodbye to a great boss and good friend today-Nixon Ng’a Ng’a. God bless & safe travels.

GHAFLA EXPLORES: 5 Counties In Kenya That Have The Most Beautiful And Thirst-Inducing Women

They say beautiful women, unlike leaders, aren’t made — they’re born. Well, that’s only half-true in Kenya where make=up is the order of the day. Regardless, some counties just have it better than others when it comes to sexy ladies.

Without further ado, here are the 5 countries with the most attractive women in Kenya

Kilifi County

It’s hard to find more beautiful women than in Kilifi County. Coastal women are generally fine. Their pretty skin, petite but shapely bodies, and long black hair perfectly combines Kenyan ancestry with Arba blood. The women there make good wives too. They have perfected bedroom skills while cooking and cleaning isn’t calculus to them.

Machakos County

Machakos County is the slightly the twin sister of Kilifi County when it comes to matters of the bedroom, only with smaller asses and breasts. The women here are also crazier and notoriously unreliable. Break up with a Kamba woman in the morning and in the evening she will have moved on with someone else. Nonetheless, they are generally easy to get intimate with and are therefore a top choice for love tourists.

Nairobi County

The capital is supposedly the land of beauty queens, but the typical girl on the street will have a nice ass with a just alright face. Hence she heavily relies on make-up and modifications. You will only find out she wasn’t as beautiful the morning after sleeping with her. However, most Nairobi girls are smart and fashion savvy. You won’t regret a thing

Kisumu County

While Kisumu has some stunning beauties, with the most amazing butts you’ll ever see, their faces dwell around the ‘average meter’. The strength of Kisumu women lie with their sexy and feminine values more than their genetic appearance. They also aren’t that hard to get in the sack.

Kiambu County

Women from this county are hot because they know how to maintain themselves. They never take anything for granted. When it comes to their appearance. Your friends are bound to respect you when they see you walking with one. The only problem is that these women are not as submissive. Most miss independent sympathizers, feminists and female supremacists originate from here.

“Calm Down, The World Is Not Ending Today ” NASA Says

For more than 4 billion years, the earth has been met with threats of total extinction and the last time we were told that the world would end on Dec. 21, 2012.

Well December 21st 2012, came and went and the world is still intact and our planet has been getting along just fine.

Now, the most recent forecast is that the world would end between the 22nd and 28th of this month with ‘experts’ putting their money on the 21st of September, that is today. They went ahead to claim that we would be extinguished by a cataclysmic meteor which will cause a 300 ft tsunami in Atlantic that will destroy large parts of England ,Spain Holland and a huge part of the eastern seaboard of America. A disaster that is expected to claim 30 Million lives.

The disaster will devastate us, but the ripple effect will be more profound as it will then cause civil unrest that will sweep across the world leading to lawlessness and a war that will further claim 40 Million lives

Other experts predicted that Doomsday will happen specifically on September 15th but days on the world has not ended yet, making his prophesy a fallacy .

Paul Chodas, manager of NASA’s Near-Earth Object office had this to say about the huge asteroid expected to smash into Earth this month “There is no scientific basis – not one shred of evidence – that an asteroid or any other celestial object will impact Earth on those dates” he said before adding that “If there were any object large enough to do that type of destruction in September, we would have seen something of it by now.”

#Payteachers and Now #SomeoneTellHisExcellency KOT Reaction To President’s Speech on Teachers Pay

The past couple of weeks has seen the government through the Ministry of Education and TSC engage KNUT and KUPPET the teachers’ unions in a battle of resolve on the teacher’s salary issue. With TSC choosing to skip their initial 50-60% offer despite a court ruling, much of the public has sided with teachers as schools remain closed indefinitely.

Well, the President moved to set the government position clear and it appear just got himself dragged in the muddle. KOT took little time to let him know the publics view and here are some interesting tweets ranging from the hilarious, the mad and the sarcastic.

Was the President’s Announcement not to Pay Teachers a Smart Choice? Find Out Here Together With Other Smart Choices You Could Make #Smartika

What is a smart choice? Is blowing up all our hard earned money in the club over the weekend just for instagram selfies a smart choice? Was Uhuru’s declaration that the government was not going to pay teachers their dues a smart choice? I don’t know about all that but I do know owning a car is a really smart choice.

I mean look at it. It enables you to start a business (cab/deliver service), allows you to grow your business (attend more meetings, close more deals, deliver more goods) and facilitates better use of your time (so that you free yourself up to spend more time visiting loved ones & pursuing your interests). A car also enables you to get more girls and hotter ones for that matter. It makes you the life of the party.

More often than not however, a car is pretty goddman expensive so to most of us it remains more of a pipe dream. Things are about to take a new turn though for the best if the latest unveiling by Airtel is anything to go by.

Through the Smartika na Airtel campaign, they are giving away a car daily for the next 50 days and to get one is as easy as 123. It starts with you sitting tight and waiting for a daily SMS which Airtel will send you, with your 5X target for the day. Once that is settled, make sure you Call, SMS and access data from your Airtel line so as to reach and ‘Fikisha’ your 5X target for the day

Once you FIKISHA your 5X target, you will get a Confirmation SMS on target achievement, as well as a complimentary 500% airtime bonus to use across all networks. You can use the 500% airtime bonus to browse, SMS and make calls across all networks.

You will then be automatically entered into the daily draw for a chance to win a Toyota Axio, as well as other daily cash and airtime prizes.

So there you have it, it has never been that easier!

 He’s young,he’s bubbly,he’s funky,he’s fresh,he’s gifted,he’s innovative,he’s happening and he’s making huge waves… He’s Atwal.

After bumping into his song ‘All Day’ in which he collaborated with a slew of fresh talents and some sure-fire rappers including Khaligraph Jones,I decided to catch up with this new kid on the block and get to know him better. And more.

I’d heard of him. Maybe once or twice… And had always wanted to meet up this chap with such wholesome talent and impeccable songwriting skill. And meet him I did. And yes,he’s everything I thought he’d be. Maybe even more.

Clad in a casual black t-shirt and some fresh Converse kicks,a glimmering watch and some really fresh cologne,Atwal walked right up to me with the swagger and bubbliness of a confident artist who knows what he’s doing, knows where he’s going and sure knows how to get there.

He didn’t show up with any hangers-on… And didn’t even look like the talent he carried. But he did bring along his manager,Achie, and fellow rapper Kelvin.K with him. Kelvin.K was just like his peer, all cool and had the demeanor of a funky Nairobi trap boy whose ready to ambush and take over.

We sat at Java Koinange Street for some talk and juice and laughter.

I got to know Atwal quite well. Got to get into his world; a colorful world of innovation and skill and boundless creativity and ideas and mighty zeal.

I walked into his bare soul… Finding nothing but a burning desire to excel in him, yearning for success and readiness to learn and invent and create and change the game.

Atwal, after the illuminating chat I had with him, wasn’t just any other musician… Or songwriter intent on making a kill, cashing some quick buck or amassing sudden fame. Atwal,I gathered, was a patient soul who was content in creating and building at his own pace… Taking time to bring out the best in not just himself but his signers too.

Atwal has worked with the likes of Kelvin.K, Taio, Fena, Mumbi, Zonda, Xtatic, Dora, Chief Mufasa, Timmy-Tim & Khaligraph Jones to name a few.

Cabu Gah: So,Who is Atwal?

Atwal: Atwal is an artist, music producer, & songwriter born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya. I began piano lessons at the age of 13 and began composing music at 14 using Sibelius 4 which was given to me by my high school music teacher at Brookhouse. After years of practice and tutorship by fellow producer Gideon Kimanzi in 2010,I got my hands on more professional software and equipment and began working professionally as a music producer and songwriter at the age of 17 in the year 2012.

CG: And then?

Atwal: And then I joined a music group known as Wryterz Block as the producer, sound-engineer & manager. In mid-2012,we released our first single entitled Dance produced and co-written by Atwal. The single caught the attention of Monique Kabuye from Homeboyz radio. She then reached out to us and held a two hour long interview with the Wryterz Block group members on her morning show. The single then got published on Ghafla and Wryterz Block was referred to as the group to watch out for within the article. After a number of singles released,we came up with two more hits entitled More Than You (featuring Zonda) and Hakuna Matata. They gained even more online recognition gathering over 5,000 plays on soundcloud, a spot on the HomeBoyz radio Hit or Miss count down, another interview with Monique Kabuye on her morning show, an interview on USIU radio, and a gig a carnivore grounds that gained us even more recognition. All under MY management.I also produced and co-wrote all of the music.

CG: Wow! Impressive…And what happened to the group?

Atwal: Unfortunately, the group parted ways in July 2013 due to conflicting visions. I then began to work as a solo artist and formed the Atwal Music stable working with with Kelvin.K, Zonda & Chief Mufasa as his core artists. Apart from releasing solo projects, they became the first artists to release creative material under Atwal Music. I wrote, produced, engineered, and managed all of the artists’ material and brands. They went on to release a number of notable singles including All The Way Down, You, Don’t Be Mad, Dance, Fantasy Prelude & Fire to name a few under Atwal Music.

CG: Interesting! That was fast! Go on..

Atwal: I was then noticed by Taurus Musik and was approached with a job opportunity as an in-house producer. But I declined. Although, Zonda & Kelvin.K chose to sign a recording contract with Taurus Musik after receiving a similar offer. They ceased to release solo projects under Atwal Music due to contractual limitations. Although, they continued to collaborate with me on multiple projects. In 2014, Atwal Music released the 2014 AtwalProducedThis compilation on Waabeh consisting of a collection of the best music I had produced for Zonda, Kelvin.K and Chief Mufasa that year.

cab2.jpg

CG: So,even after they got signed to Taurus Musik you guys till worked together sort of?

Atwal: Yes,Yes we did…No bad blood…No Taylor Swift situations…Haha

CG: What happened after releasing the compilation album?

Atwal: After the attention gained from the compilation, Atwal Music was featured on a Daily Nation interview article regarding Kenya’s over-reliance on end-year tests and disregard for music and arts in schools, and my single Today featuring Rain’ De was featured on Up Nairobi’s best tracks of the month.

CG: You’re quite the achiever. What are you now upto? Current projects?

Atwal: I am currently working on the AtwalProducedThis Extended Play project. It is a project that consists of 7 tracks featuring a slew of artists around Kenya and Africa including Khaligraph, Pesa,Timmy-Tim, Fena, Ivory Namara,Rain’ De plus many more .The first single is a collaboration featuring Kelvin.K, Zonda, Chief Mufasa, Timmy-Tim & Khaligraph Jones which was recently released on 30th May 2015 and is entitled All Day. The song was produced, engineered and co-written by myself.

CG: I saw the video! Dude! That is some International stuff right there! Who shot it? Who financed it? Man!

Atwal: Thanks man! Thanks alot. The music video was financed by myself, directed by Brainworks group, co-directed by me and solely edited by myslef too…

CG: How old are you again?

Atwal: 21. (Laughs)

CG: Then how did you learn to do all these things? You’re too young to be so good…

Atwal: (Laughs) Hard work,Bro. Hard Work…And a little help from friends, partners…etc…

CG: Congrats,Bro! You’re really taking Kenyan music far…Please don’t die away like the Camp Mulla crew…

Atwal: No,I aint dying away. And thanks…Watch this space. I’m here to stay. And change this game. Forever!

CG: Cheers man!

Atwal: Cheers bro and thanks again!

Check out the FRESH AS HELL music video for All Day. Best thing I’ve watched this year. Hands down!

“Our President Is A Man Like All Of Us And He Needs To Admit He Has A Sickness. Alcoholism Is A Sickness That Can Be Treated.” Boniface Mwangi Tears Into President Kenyatta

The Holy Bible says in the book of John 8:32 the truth will make you free. Boniface Mwangi must have read that part of the Holy Book to boldly tell President Uhuru the bitter truth.

“A Sobering Truth; Mr President” The Right Activist titled his long letter to the commander in chief. Boniface alleges Uhuru is another lousy seasoned drunkard.

Boniface says Kenya is lagging behind because of President Uhuru’s personal problems, top being alcoholism.

The Activist revealed the President suffers from acute alcoholism, so worse that he occasionally keeps guests at State House waiting when he’s subdued by liquor.

“Stories abound about our president’s drinking escapades; how official guests at State House are kept waiting as his handlers try to sober him up. Of the president showing up late at state functions reeking of alcohol. There are many more but l would rather not tell them all.” Wrote Boniface in part.

The Activist urged the President to own up to his sickness citing Obama’s smoking confession as a model to emulate.

He says Uhuru’s alcoholism was taking its toll on the country’s economy since he was spending a great deal of time on drip trying to get sober instead of bolting to address pressing concerns affecting the country.

“His sickness is already affecting our economy, what with the president out of the country half the time or on a drip as they try to sober him up. The men around the president have made bad decisions because he was blacked out and a quick decision had to be made.”

Boniface concluded his letter to President Uhuru by pleading with him to seek help for his own good and that one of Kenya.

“I empathize with the president and I hope that he will seek help for his own good and for the benefit of our great nation. We need a president who is fit to serve the nation. He should address his personal problems so that the progress of the country moves at a steady pace; so that we stop staggering and the cabinet can stop issuing those hangover directives.”

Activist Boniface Mwangi Spills The Beans On What Could Have Caused The Death Fidel Odinga.

The devastating news that Fidel Odinga, the son of Kenya’s statesman had died quietly in his sleep after a night of merry making caught the nation unawares. It was the start of a  of speculations as to what might have caused the untimely death of Fidel.

Boniface Mwangi today is an update on social media titled ‘Sobering truth; Mr. President’  he went on variety of ills and rots in the the current goverment, shed light on hypocrisy of our leaders and their inability to tell things as they were, what caught our eye however was his damning revelation on what could have led to the death of

Robert Alai Sparks Raw Emotions With Itchy Five Word Caption On CS Anne Waiguru And First Lady Margaret Kenyatta’s Photo

Zero chills ehh! The controversial blogger has once again stooped way low with his prickly words. And Kenyans put him on the spot!

The First Lady, Margaret Kenyatta, is such a humble person that you won’t imagine anyone of sound mind taking a jab at her.

But one crafty Robert Alai did. The whistle blower posted five inflamed words on a merged photo of Devolution CS Anne Waiguru and First Lady planting trees.

“The competition of the mistresses.”

waiguken.jpg

Alai’s words sparked fiery tempers from a big section Kenyans who then decided to lynch him with all sort of expressions.

Ray O Mokaya: Alai, Margaret is the first lady of the Republic of Kenya. She is not a mistress. This is demeaning and unwarranted for. In fact she is the coolest first lady I know besides Michelle.

Ronald Otieno: We know who the mistress and the first lady is. Now, some dignity for Mrs. Kenyatta.

Alfred Thaba: a mistress is a woman who is in a position of authority or control, or who is highly skilled in something. stop throwing venom at #alai coz he does not mean a mpango wa kando. someni kizungu jameni

George Kariuki: Get your own if you love mistresses so much.

Francis Ndungu: Wachana na familia za watu wengine. Even Solomon had many and I don’t see you complaining. Wewe uko na wangapi? If someone want to marry 10 so be it. UK has enough to feed even a thousand ‘mistresses’, and each one would own bigger land than your entire extended family owns. I think your online jokes are going too far and personal.

Timothy Cherutich: So your wife is also a mistress? #RobertAlai

Filipo Naibei: Just what sort of a man are you mr. Alai onyango? You aught to have been a woman!!

Henry Raballah Jr: margaret is humble enough not to require a red carpet while planting a tree…i cant say the same for waiguru though. thats all i see…NOT a competition

Ken Odhiambo: Haha..,girlfriends are always treated better even though most men will deny it publicly.

Marion Chege: wewe tuonyeshe wako??

Lawrence Ochieng’: All the politics and the tribalism aside, First Lady Margaret Kenyatta is an excellent first lady. I respect her for the good work she is doing and her humility. It is totally uncalled for, for someone and that is Robert Alai to demean her.

Hellen Jeffrey: Si hata wewe ulete wako.

Phineas Kamundi: Mrs has got dignity but mistress no

Patrick Amin: If Margaret is not complaining, who are you to complain! Even mama Ngina and Uhuru’s kids havent complained at all and here you are complaining and yet u r an outsider!

Eunice Nduta: You do realise these people have families, friends and kids…whether true or false not a single kenyan man who is in a place to lecture another Man…coz as we say you are all the same.

Austine Ochieng Dieto: Please show some respect to the First Lady.

Benard Gichohi Chamakh: Alai leave Margaret alone she has done alot..and doesn’t play politics..last keep ur idiotic ideas to ur self or go hang urself

Norman Gabu: In today’s lingo, I believe one would be called a ‘side bitch ‘ and the other ‘main chick ‘

Edith Chumba: Robert please! Margaret is a respectable woman and a role model to many. The disrespect you are portraying is unnecessary and you should apologise.

Finally Diamond Shows The World His Daughter’s Face. And No She Doesn’t Look Like Zari’s Ex Hubby (Photos)

The two month wait is finally over! Princess Tiffah’s face has ultimately been shown to millions of eager fans!!

It has been long time coming. The world has been waiting for this moment for centuries now; a glimpse of baby Tiffah’s face.

Perhaps Zari’s ex, King Lawrence, catalyzed the curiosity when he blatantly pronounced Tiffah was a product of his hard work on bed.

The Ugandan national even went on to post a photo of Diamond’s daughter just to prove the little one was his biological child.

See also: New Twist In Birth Of Diamond’s Daughter As Fresh Allegations Emerge Claiming He Did Not Sire The Little Girl After All

But Diamond eventually unveiled the face of his daughter. And no, she doesn’t look anywhere close to what King Lawrence had suggested. Seems he was anxious to make the world believe Tiffah was her girl!

Anyway, the two month old celebrity baby with more followers than most artists in East Africa, is prettier than the gorgeous face of her mom.

Latiffah Bint Nasibu Abdul aka Princess Tiffah, took after her mother’s beauty. NMB Bank sponsored her facial unveil. Ati nini?? A bank sponsored her facial unveil? Lanes…

Annabel Onyango Of Citizen TV’s Fashion Watch Finally Weds Sauti Sol’s Manager (Photos)

Cupid must have clouted hard his arrow of love on Kenyan celebrities! Three months to go till the year ends and how many celeb weddings have we witnessed??

The week before last week, it was a Symbua Mwele, another Royal Media’s potent journalist, who dominated headlines when she exchanged vows with Ex-SONU Chairman David Osiany.

Even before Symbua could came back from her honeymoon, another Citizen TV personality walked down the aisle with Mr. Right.

Citizen TV’s Fashion Watch panelist, Annabel Onyango, last Saturday wedded Sauti Sol’s manager, , Marek Fuchs.

The wedding was held at The Great Rift Valley Lodge & Golf Resort in Naivasha and the household names that showed up adhered to Annabel’s specification; black dress code.

It was indeed a colorful event. What do you expect of a fashion stylist’s wedding?

Battle of The Firebrands, Moses Kuria and Martha Karua Set For A Showdown

Never has the idiom a loose cannon so been zealously exemplified than in the person of Gatundu South MP Moses Kamau Kuria. The Hon. Kuria even beats Duale to the game with his utterances which clearly have always landed him in controversy one press conference or rally after another.

Staying true to his rabble rousing credentials, the MP was in a confessional mood when he said that him and Martha Karua were involved in procuring witnesses to fix Ruto for the ICC. How Kuria thought his statements helped the situation is only a matter his mind can decipher, However, what was evident is that the Narc Party Leader Martha Karua was not going to take such allegations lying down. the Iron Lady of Kenyan Politics through her lawyer Gitobu Imanyara has said she will sue the MP in Kenya and at the Hague denying ever talked or dealt with the controversial MP. You know it is showtime since noe  of these individuals has a reputation for backing down we can only wait for Moses Kuria’s response.

Robert Alai Shares Shocking Video Of Central Police Station’s Deputy OCS Assaulting A Security Guard. Shame! (Video)

Social Media whistle-blower Robert Alai is back at it again.. Disturbing our Sunday hangovers with a sobering video of a public servant abusing his power and physically assaulting a man of lesser power and authority. Much like the explosive Hon. Alfred Keter video he shared some months back… Also on a Sunday!

The one-minute grainy clip, which was obviously shot via mobile phone, shows a rather disorderly crowd surrounding a building entrance. The video is then zoomed in to show a man dressed in a white baggy shirt and black trousers violently man handling another man dressed in a Security Guard blue uniform.

As the video progresses, you can see the man in a white shirt push the security guard to the ground and then proceed to slap him hard across the face. It is at this heated point that the crowd of onlookers surges forward, growling and shouting angrily before the man in a white shirt quickly draws his pistol and stupidly points it at the irate crowd.

More screams and shouts of disapproval can be heard coming from all around the building with a clear male voice taunting the ambusher telling him ‘Si upige! Piga!’

Another female voice can be heard saying, ‘Mpaka anatoa gun! Unajua it’s illegal…’

The man in a white shirt continues to assault his security guard victim amid the noise and the surrounding crowd.

And then the video ends… Abruptly.

Well,we don’t know whether the man in a white shirt is ACTUALLY the Deputy OCS at the Central Police Station. And if he is,a big shame on him for misusing not just his gun but also his position in society.

Watch the video by clicking on this LINK which will lead you straight to Robert Alai’s Facebook page.

Saddest part of this whole new drama is that NOTHING may ever be done to this cruel chap publicly flogging and pulling a loaded gun out on defenseless Kenyans.

Totally outrageous!

Local Actress And Film Producer Announces Her Pregnancy! With Her Hubby Holding Onto Her Belly. (Photo)

Film and stage actress Lizz Njagah Konstantaras(Phew!) is preggys! And she took to Instagram to break the good news to the world… With her Greek hubby, and bearer of that mouthful of a name, holding onto her bulging baby bump.

After years of gracing us with flawless performances both on TV and on stage,Lizz Njagah looks like she’s about to slow down… And enter into a more exciting chapter of her life; raising a child and building a family.

Lizz, who together with her hubby has been involved in the production of many local shows, including the wildly popular House Of Lungula, beamed in the photo, smiling proudly clad in a green dress, minimal African jewelry and a gray checked Fedora hat. Her Hubby smiled proudly alongside her… His hand placed on her belly.

Lizz wrote,‘Thanking God for the next chapter Alex and I are about to enter into. God has done great things’ and hashtagged the photo ‪#‎BabyOnBoard‬.

Congrats Lizz and Alex Konstan…. Ok,never mind.

DJ Pierra Makena Falls Sick,Cancels Concert Gig,Gets Admitted To Hospital.

Local DJ Pierra Makena, who has been on a US tour, has suddenly fallen sick and checked herself into a hospital cancelling her gig in Kansas City,America.

Announcing the bad news on social media, the sexy turntablist, who also tried her hand at music and ended up with disastrous results, apologized to her fans in Kansas by telling them that she had just fallen sick abruptly and that she hoped to be feeling better enough to make it up to them in another gig at the same venue a day later.

We don’t know what Miss Makena could have been suffering from… But I guess she ate stuff she hadn’t even eaten. And,ummm, ended up with a bloated stomach.

Anyway,Get well soon,msichana wa Kimeru.

She wrote,

Kansas city I am sorry the gig will not be happening tonight as planned.i fell ill and had to be in hospital . however I’m out of hospital and will travel tomorrow and we will have the gig on 20th instead….looking forward. .same venue!!!

Writer And Blogger Njoki Chege Harassed And Mistreated At The Westgate Mall.

Controversial blogger Njoki Chege, also known as City Girl in the column she writes for The Daily Nation, teaching girls how to be gold diggers and men how to be effective cheaters, was harassed and mistreated at the Westgate Mall where she had gone to collect a feature story.

Njoki, who is never shy of making her feelings clear and attacking individuals she loathes and/or finds irrational, claimed in her latest City Girl article that she and some cameramen had been asked by her employer,Nation Media Group,to go to Westgate Mall,do a study of the place, take photos and proceed to do a promotional story on Westgate in the coming weeks.

But upon arrival at the Mall, which was reopened by the President a couple months ago,Njoki was met with what she calls rude staff and stubborn receptionist who wouldn’t let her and her crew access or talk to the PRO (Public Relations Officer).

Njoki also says that the PRO did pass them at the entrance on her way to her office and never said a word to them because she was ‘too busy’.

And upon inquiring if she would be allowed to see the PRO,she was told that she had to send an email first to that effect. Oh,protocol!

Ignoring the directive, which she viewed as analogue and time-wasting,Njoki proceeded to walk into the Mall, talk to a few shoppers and traders and take their photos too.

No sooner had she finished her guerrilla interview than some Mall officials pounced on her and her cameraman and frogmarched them to the PRO’s office. The PRO stood there… Infuriated and no-nonsense,berating her for daring take photos of the premises and ordering her and her crew to immediately delete the photos.

She hesitated… And then some burly security guys were called in. And it went downhill from there.

Narrating her unsavory ordeal,Njoki blasted the PRO,The Westgate Management and pretty much everyone else involved for the cavalier manner in which they treated journalists and handled Westgate Publicity.

Check out a part of her article below… As first published in the Nairobi News rag. And click HERE to read the rest of it.

We, therefore, defiantly went back into the mall, talked to a few traders who told us how business has failed to pick up, took their photos and started to leave.

Security stopped us. They shooed us into the management office and alas, whom do we find there? The PRO who was too busy to talk to us in the first place.

“Delete those photos!” she thundered at us, without even trying to find out what our story was about.

She didn’t even bother to look at the photos we had taken. She didn’t even bother to make sure the photos we were deleting were the ones we had taken of the mall.

In a bid to intimidate us, about five burly security officers were called in. They surrounded us, stroking their outdated radios perched on their shoulders and giving us the ‘look’.

Football Star Jamal Mohammed Attacks Dennis Oliech,McDonald Mariga And Victor Wanyama… What’s Going On!?

Football star and local bad boy Jamal Mohammed, who, whenever he is in the Country, will be found attending all hippie gigs dressed like a weirdo and smoking himself wild, has leveled some attacks against his fellow Europe-based players calling them selfish and fame-seeking.

Jamal, through a Facebook post, written in a mixture of Sheng and Swahili sanifu, took issue with Kenyan International players who he urged to do more to help other amazing local talent make it abroad too.

Jamal, who himself has had a stint in Romania a few years ago, talked about his dissatisfaction with how senior Harambee Stars players, playing for foreign clubs, were treating other budding local talents.

Jamal made it clear that making it in Europe is tough and claimed that some of our International players had done absolutely NOTHING to help lesser-known footballers from Kenya because they were simply selfish and wanted to hog all the fame and glory.

Jamal even singled out some talents he believes would make it big abroad only if they were helped and shown around. They include Humphrey Mieno,Francis Kahata and Michael Olunga among others.

jamalmo.jpg

Well… His tirade was directed to Kenya’s successful Europe-based players. And who else are they expect the eccentric Dennis Oliech, the demure Victor Wanyama and the quiet McDonald Mariga!?

Well… Will these soccer icons respond? We’re waiting…

Out Of Nowhere,Rapper Collo Shows Up On Stage Wearing A Skirt! And Converse Sneakers.Haiya! (Photos)

Collo has been referring to himself as the ‘King Of Rap’ for a minute now. You’d expect that someone who goes by that title would try and display a few ‘Kingly’ attributes. But not really.

After Sauti Sol shocked everyone by wearing what looked like a Duvet for a Coke Studio show, another Kenyan Artist is here to remind us that we’re not out of the woods yet. As far as our fashion sense is concerned.

Showing up on stage at the star-studded Sportspesa Super 8 tournament gala, which was graced by quite a number of celebrities and hosted by Amina,Collo shocked the crowd by donning a SKIRT! Yup,a Scottish-style skirt,a white shirt,a windbreaker and a pair of black converse sneakers. As if another rapper-Kanye West-hasn’t tortured us enough with a horrible fashion line already.

Collo, however, appeared unperturbed and looked every inch the party boy, prancing up and down the stage with glee and not letting any fashion police arrest him just yet.

Well,it’s a creative way to get back in the limelight. Anything for publicity,y’know.

‘I Want Us To Be Friends Again…’ Willy Paul Emotionally Appeals To Bahati In A Long Facebook Post.

After they had what would easily be called the fallout of the year, after Bahati took to Facebook circa April to level accusations against Willy Paul calling him a thief,a con and a swindler, now Willy Paul has publicly responded. And we are not surprised.

Around Easter,Bahati, one of the most popular Kenyan Gospel artists and the reigning Male Artist Of The Year (According to the Grooves) took to Facebook to maul his nemesis Willy Paul and publicly accuse him of no just stealing his (Bahati’s) songs but also arrogance and lack of professionalism.

The story was so big it dominated the entertainment headlines for weeks… And there was a little scene when some Bishops even attempted brokering a truce between the two during the Groove AWARDS season.

But then,Bahati went on to win almost every Groove Award (thankfully not the Female Artist Award) prompting Willy Paul to angrily storm out of the Kasarani Auditorium in a huff.

Willy Paul NEVER responded to the Bahati accusations. And he always evaded the topic on almost all public interviews etc.

But six months down the dramatic line,Willy Paul, out of the blue, has emerged to extend an olive branch to his arch-rival.

willy.jpg

Posting on Facebook (as if he couldn’t just place a call to him),Willy Paul started by claiming that he NEVER stole anyone’s material but still asked his fans to forgive him for ‘anything’ he may have done to them.

Willy Paul then went down memory lane, reminiscing on the sweet days he used to have with Bahati before they both blew up big. He even equated his current antagonism between them to the infamous Jamaican gang wars,Gully and Gaza (insert huge laughter here)

Willy Paul then finished off his tear-jerking tirade by extending an olive branch to Bahati and inviting him to make a song together and to make everlasting peace. Awwww.

Check out the piece below. And please, don’t feel anything. Not yet.

( BAHATI )Today I woke up with my heart feeling so heavy….. feeling that there’s something missing…. I want to talk about a brother that I’ve not been in good terms with, a brother who was a real brother before all the fame… I know many might hate me because they were made to believe that I stole which was never the case, so today I stand here to make peace and to ask anyone who I might have offended to forgive me… I am only human.. no man is perfect…. man is to error and so am I. First and foremost, I really want to be in good terms with my brother @bahatikenya I want us to do a clean ministry, no competition no nothing…. if possible, a collaboration with @bahatikenya would really show unity among our followers and listeners.. as we speak our people are divided like the secular GULLYSIDE AND GAZA and it’s not supposed to be like that. We are supposed to be one.. so my brother @bahatikenya let’s come together… put our differences aside and join hands in taking our ministries to the next level….. I know men have an ego but I put mine down to bring peace among us….. I remember when we first both won, we were best of friends. I won the male artist 2013 and you won the new artist 2012… and we were both happy… we spent the night at my place with joy in our eyes as brothers … I wonder what happened… am writing this from deep down my heart.. we have given the devil a chance in our lives and that’s why all these is happening… it’s time to chase away the devil… Again, let’s not make it look like a competition coz that’s not what it is… it’s ministry.. and the only way we can do that is by forgiving one another, working together and moving forward… am ready to work with you anytime bro. Let’s make our God happy. He put us here with a purpose… let’s keep the focus.. Baraka..

Powerful Female Billionaire Oprah Winfrey Pays Tribute To Wangari Maathai

Wangari Maathai once said “It’s the little things citizens do that will make the difference. My little thing is planting trees”.

And this very quote is the reason why the #mylittlething campaign was launched by her daughter Wanjira Mathai in her memory, 9 days ahead of her death anniversary . The campaign aims at celebrating the seemingly little things that make a huge difference.

And TV mogul Oprah Winfrey has joined this campaign sharing the photo below with the caption,” In remembrance of Wangari Maathai, #mylittlething is educating girls to become leaders in their families, in their communities and in our world.”
