What started as a night of heavy drinking and fun ended rather tragically after something went awry and a drunken reveler plummeted to his death.

 

This was at a popular joint on Thika Road called Maxland  in Mountain Mall where the man is seen on CCTV leaving the premises walking down the stairs before stopping at the edge of the staircase, looking down, and then falling tragically to his death.

Here is the man seen in this photo, moments before he staggered out of the joint and tumbled to his death.

The deceased suffered severe head trauma after his head burst open spilling it’s contents.May his soul R.I.P

If you’ve been following rapper STL for a while, you know that she’s worse off now that she was in the years prior. STL used to be Kenya’s international rap icon. She was the queen. Her songs were way ahead of time. She was sexy and her flow was super admirable. She dripped swag and hotness, a badass woman in a time of male-domination. Now all she does is release Kikuyu songs with the likes of Stella Njeri

With the momentum with which Stella Mwangi was going, she could have been way ahead now. She was celebrated as one of the keepers of rap music, the embodiment of each element of the hip hop culture. She could have gone on to be on BET Cyphers. She could have done collabos with American B-list artistes. But that hasn’t happened. That hasn’t happened because Stella Mwangi slowed down.

There was a time when STL was unavoidable. You couldn’t mention hip hop without mentioning her. Her popularity transcended racial, gender, class, and generational divides. Your grandmother knew who STL was. Backed by Kenyan and Norwegian fans, Stella once had so much power behind her that it seemed nearly impossible for her to fail. It now seems as though STL’s career has crumbled. There are just no good songs to bump to anymore

A would-be rhetorical question like “where did it all go wrong?” lacks multiple or specific answers. Is she being affected by personal issues? Or is her fall just nature’s way of saying that no one can or should stay at the top for a long time

The Nationwide teachers’ strike that has paralyzed public learning institutions since schools opened has continued to bring the best and worst out of leaders in the country. While the government, some religious leaders and other leaders continue to lose goodwill, there are others who seem to have read the mood right and are backing it up with tangible actions.

Ababu Namwamba and Sonko have all said they will file motions in their respective houses of parliament that will see members of the Legislature and Executive get a 50% pay cut in order to avail funds to pay the teachers. Ababu has already files his motion. Prof PLO Lumumba has started an initiative the ‘Adopt A Teacher Fund’ seeking to have members of the public, government and corporate bodies to contribute to the fund and raise cash for teachers given the government seeming inability to rise to the occasion. To start the kitty off, he contributed 50,000/. 

Following these gestures is an MCA from Kisumu who without much fanfare or waiting for some bill wrote to the clerk of the Kisumu County Assembly requesting to have 35% of his salary cut off and donated to the teachers’ kitty and urged other leaders to follow suit in order to get children back to school. Really all leaders need to take the example set. Here is that letter,

 

Disregard for how hard Kenyans work to eke a living and pay taxes is often demonstrated by just how carelessly politicians spend our money.

If MCA’s are not spending too much time abroad, a county government is buying 10 wheelbarrows for 1 Million shillings, blowing close to 1.5 Million on a SINGLE street light or 700, 000 for serviettes.

But that is not all Meru County has just spent 7.8 Million on curtains…CURTAINS…PAZIA! This is in a country where patients need medicine and medical practitioners more than the privacy curtains provide.

Honestly if these county governments want to rob us blind, they should try and be smart about it….not blowing it on silly things like curtains, wheelbarrows and serviettes.

And as expected, Kenyans immediately swooped in after this revelation and their clap back game was, of course, unstoppable

Sarah Hassan has always kept her love life under wraps and the closest we ever came to knowing who her beau was when she was spotted with certain gospel singer on several occasions. But she never came out to claim him.

However there is this man she has been spotted on several occasions with and even ‘Instagrammed’ pictures of him and her .His name Martin Dale and the two looked very cute in matchy-matchy with this outfits

 

Former Kenyan BBA representative has gone through a quite a roller coaster ride including loss of a beloved one and accompanying grief, the fame and pressure getting to BBA brings , academic success, an attempted rape by a taxi driver alleged unclothed photos of her which she insists were the work of a good Photoshop artist and pretty much more.

The good thing is she came through much better and I guess wiser.

She took time to have an interview with us and discussed a range of issues  some already in the public domain some not and she cleared up the controversies and most importantly talked about her struggles with alcohol addiction and the desire to seek refuge that drove her to it along betrayal by her friends and judgment she got from the public. In the words of many social media users “someone grab the keyboard before he/she does anymore damage”.

Because it is getting ugly pretty fast. For those who are wondering what I’m blathering about, I’m talking about the very public spat between Fareed Khimani formerly of X F.M and popular eatery Mambo Italia.

The ‘Rude Awakening’ presenter was shocked for the rude service at the eatery and that is when this Twitter spat ensued:

Mutahi Ngunyi is famous for many things as a result for having a theory for everything under the sun especially of the location is Kenya and revolving around politics. Having managed to stir the anger of a whole tribe and still engulfed in the ripples of the NYS scandal, it is foolhardy to say he ratins any authority least of all moral authority to be be a voice of reason. so yeaterday he was taken to task at KTN morning express on why he hardly criticizes the current government specifically Uhuru Kenyatta despite the obvious missteps it has had. True to character, the eloquent Mutahi had a theory this time going back to the wisdom of his father, that two thinks you can’t run out from are your clan and age set thus the Uhuru government is a government for people of his age and only those younger or older can critic it, though he can critic Ruto since he is much younger…. I don’t know what you think of this but i have never seen such piece of b******t being passed on as wine old wisdom. See the video here and make your opinion

It appears Moses Kuria has an affinity for courts . He has been in and out the justice corridors in the past for hate charges and yesterday just got a reprieve when the DPP’s attempt to have his Kshs. 2 million bond cancelled was rejected by a court.

However, it appear, the Gatundu South MP is aching for a return to courts this time with his recent confession while in Mt. Elgon regarding the procurement of witnesses to fix the Deputy President at the ICC.

While Kuria termed it as his confession, he went on linking other leaders to the alleged plot including NARC Kenya Party Leader and ODM Party Leader Raila Odinga. Now, he faces a 24hr ultimatum to issue an apology given by Martha Karua or else face prosecution. The ODM on the other hand has said the revelations by Moses Kuria are an answer to the prayers the DP has been holding as he can now know the people behind his woes. In a statement to the press, the party also said ‘We wish to remind the public that in the 2007-2008 election period, Hon. Ruto was an ally of Hon Odinga. It therefore defeats logic that Hon Odinga could have tried to implicate a man with whom he was on the same side of the battle…It goes to confirm the scatter-brained nature of Mr Kuria’s claims.”

It remains to be seen whether whether Martha Karua will take up her threat to sue Moses Kuria should he not offer an apology in the stipulated time.

The controversial blogger has now crossed the border with a tirade against Republican presidential candidate, Ben Carson.

For starters, Ben Carson is one of the world’s best authors who boasts of masterpieces like Gifted Hands, Think Big among other publications.

Carson is eyeing US presidency, unfortunately he’s playing second fiddle to Donald Trump who currently leads Republican presidential hopefuls by a far bigger margin.

So why would Robert Alai fire shots at Ben Carson? The latter spat venom on Islam and this rubbed Alai and many others the wrong way.

On Monday, Carson told Fox News he would not support a Muslim president, specifically those who refused to denounce Islamic Sharia Law, arguing their faith impedes them from carrying out the duties of the US Constitution.

The Republican presidential candidate attracted lots of criticisms from various quarters with his contentious opinion, but Carson has no apology.

One Robert Alai grasped the opportunity to settle old scores with the American. The blogger says none of Carson’s books have ever inspired him.

He further urged Carson to immediately withdraw from the US Presidential race saying his ignorance was wanting.

“Ben Carson should immediately withdraw from the US Presidential race. His claim that Muslims should not be allowed to be President of USA is unfortunate and out of ignorance. That’s why none of his books have ever inspired me.”

A lot of people want to make it to the Guinness Book of records and now you have a chance because the greatest peace selfie challenge is on.

Coca Cola in conjunction with Peace One Day is today attempting to break a Guinness World Record of the most contributions to an online album of self-portrait photographs (Selfies) in 24 hours, as a means of raising awareness on the International Peace Day.

Participants can join the challenge by uploading selfies displaying the peace sign on social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) hashtag #PeaceDay #cokestudioafrica.

This was inspired by the non-profit organization Peace One Day’smission to reach three billion people with the message of Peace Day by 2016 – the #PeaceDay selfie this year aims to make the peace message reach a great audience.

 

 

The first-ever Peace Day Anthem “ONE” penned by Zwai Bala—Grammy award-nominated South African musician (of Kwaito group TKZee)and music director of Coke Studio Africa season 3, will also premiere today in Kigali at The Peace One Day Youth Celebration at Amahoro Petit Stade in Kigali, Rwanda.

The Coke Studio Africa produced song featuresfive of Coke Studio Africa artists: Maurice Kirya (Uganda), Alikiba (Tanzania), Dama Do Bling (Mozambique), Wangechi (Kenya) and Ice Prince (Nigeria). The artists will perform the song for the first time in front of approximately 3,000 young people who will also take part in the selfie challenge.

Government and teachers are in a stalemate over their brawl that has seen public schools shut down indefinitely.

While the government has maintained it has no cash to pay striking teachers the 50-60% pay rise the Supreme Court ordered, new details emerging indicate Kenya has enough guap to foot teachers’ demand.

KTN’s UK correspondent, James Smart, has unearthed damning evidence that proved the government has the money to pay teacher.

Smart pulled stats from various sources that proved Kenya’s priorities were somehow only favoring the political class.

Data the KTN correspondent dug shows Kenya’s legislators were the second highest paid in the entire world after Nigeria.

“Here is how much we pay our MP’s, 2nd best paid politicians in the WORLD. Kenya has money, and loads of it.” Wrote disturbed James Smart.

I was such an avid reader of Astronomy books  back in the hey days, I even had a dream that I would become an astronomer like Galileo Gallilei- I lost the dream soon after learning about Planet X, a planet that online quacks predicted would wipe out planet earth in a colossal collision. 

 In the year 2013, it had been predicted that December 21st would be doomsday, worried about personal safety a church in Kenya came up with a contingency plan to escape the catastrophe, they sold all they had and run for the hills where they barricaded themselves in caves and lay waiting for the looming rumored annihilation. 

The catastrophe never struck, instead in it is place were heartbreaks of people who had to start from a scratch all over again. 

Fast forward to September 2015, there are rumors that a shower of meteorites will hit planet earth in the days to come consequently wiping all life  from the face of the earth. The internet and tabloid theorists have gone ahead to tell us of how dinosaurs were wiped out million of years ago in a cosmic meteor shower  of the same magnitude. 

This time however, it is an asteroid  in the offing. 

The Blood Moon Prophecy, says the end is nigh on September 28 as that coincides with the last of four ‘blood moons’ (total eclipses followed with six full moons in between) over the past 18 months.

 NASA reports that the possibility of an asteroid hitting Earth in the days to come is minimal as the object would already be in sight, however, NASA has not completely dispelled the theory that an unaccounted for space rock can cause the above doomsday as perpetrated by doomsday-mongers as it is possible for heavenly objects to go out of orbit. 

So are we all going to die on 28 of this month? Should you ask for a salary advance? Should you get married in a hurry? 

The answer is quite simple, keep calm, the  Lord of hosts himself said that he would show up like a thief, when you least expect him to and not even the angels in heaven know of the date. 

Relax. It has been 2000 years and counting. It is not yet time. 

 

Nazizi is still the talk of the town after dropping a couple of pounds to a much lighter frame.

It all started when she showed us her before and after pictures demonstrating her weight loss transformation, but it actually gets crazier.

Nazizi recently showed us a pair of her old jeans and it’s hard to believe that she has lost such a huge amount of weight because her old trousers are huge.

Unlike a lot of people who have such a dramatic transformation, Nazizi says that she whipped her body back into its prime form by working out with fitness gurus.

Last week we reported to you that the cheeky mother in law actress Idah Alisha, famously known as ‘Olive’ was leaving her acting role to go back to school out of the country.

 Details of where she was heading to were kept hush hush until sometimes over the weekend when she started uploading photos on Instagram and knowingly or unknowingly attaching her location on the photos. 

She was escorted to the airport on Saturday by her close friends; Willis Raburu, Abel Mutua and  Jackie Nduta. 

Idah has settled in a little redneck commune (American equivalent for Village)  in Raleigh, North Carolina. She has still not divulged details about School but she will all in good time. We shall keep you posted.
