Self Appointed King Of The Bling, CMB Prezzo Reveals Who Inspires His “Gangsta Lifestlye”

I called him  the Don a few days ago. I finished my discourse by calling him the true Kenyan G. The real MVP

CMB Prezzo stays relevant all the time, like the true entertainer- he is never pressed to release songs every fortnight  in order to stay in touch with reality or his fans like some commoners we know. That is why he still fancies himself as the #Rapcellency or subtly put- Prezzo  is still the Kenyan rap- genius.

Today on an update he revealed where his recent motivation is stemming from. He wrote:

prezzo254: Watch me build this empire like Lucious #Rapcellency #TrulyUnruly

fvfv.JPG

He looks up to to Lucious Lyon of the Empire Fame and has vowed to build his Empire just like Lucious. So if you thought you were the only one watching the fox Tv Series, you might want to include his rapcellency into that picture.

“Bro Ocholla Is an Idiot” Ciku Muiruri Declares

I think we have all had that moment, that moment where you send a PG rated message to the wrong person, and it’s all awkward after that.

But one Bro Ocholla probably takes the cake for one of the most awkward episodes yet as he sent a very sexy message to members of his church congregation. A message that has since gone viral. The flirtatious text reads “You seem to love my voice. This voice will whisper asking how you are feeling when you will be having your orgasms at cloud nine.”

bro_cochola.jpg

Tehehe, I don’t think there is anything more mortifying than your ‘oops’ moment going viral and creating memes.

But it’s not only KOT who have something to say about Bro Ocholla’s ‘Oops Moment’. Ciku Muriuri , the self-proclaimed ‘ho-to-cheat’ guru thinks Ochola should have been more tactical as he tried to remove himself from the sticky situation.

Bro Ocholla is an idiot. He should’ve simply said, my brothers and sisters, one of the people in this group has just sent me that unfortunate message. Let’s pray for them.

After Winning 2015 NAFCA Award Pierra Makena Rehearses For Her Next Acting Role (Video)

The multitalented Pierra Makena is warming up for a major cast. Perhaps she’s eying more awards come next year.

Pierra Makena has tried her hand in all facets of the lucrative entertainment industry. She is a goddess on the spinning decks (where she made a name for herself), she’s a singer and she is also a dope actress.

The dazzling Kenyan lady has already won an international prize from her acting career which is still picking.

Pierra won best supporting actress for her role in the movie ‘When Love Comes Around’ at the annual Nollywood and African Film Critics awards (NAFCA).

Her win could have opened another window of opportunity for Pierra to exploit her acting career. The actress was seen rehearsing for her next project.

She didn’t reveal the film she will be casting for but from her rehearsal, the hint suggested something scary since she was shouting on top of her voice.

Watch Pierra rehearse in the below video;

Bongo Star ‘Professor Jay’ Reacts To Winning A Parliamentary Seat

Most of the time, politics and entertainment are like water and oil, they do not mix.

Kenyan entertainers Mwongolo and John Kiarie attempted to establish a career in politics but their political ambitions bit the dust alongside their careers in entertainment.

But in Tanzania, it’s a whole different ball game as youthful celebrities are able to cross over into politics easily unlike Kenya. Professor Jay (real name Joseph Haule) known for songs such as ‘Zali La Mentali’ and ‘Joto Hasira’ is now the MP for Mikumi Constituency.

The rapper clinched the seat on a CHADEMA Party Ticket with 32,259 votes while his closest rival Jonas Nkya (CCM) got 30,425 votes. He beat his opponent with 1834 votes.

Following his epic win, Jay took to social media to announce his win and write“ASANTE SANA MUNGU ASANTENI SANA Wana Mikumi wenzangu kwa kuniamini.”

“Wasichana Wanakuanga Jokers Sana.” Bahati Blasts Ladies Insinuating He Can’t Bring Up His 3 Kids On His Own

Apparently a section of ladies have been on Bahati’s neck constantly tormenting him about his inability to raise his kids on his own. Bahati has since hit back.

Bahati, who is in his early 20s, is a father to three kids; Rose (10), Purity (4) and Morgan (4). The gospel singer is yet to convince many he can effectively tender to his children on his own.

In a chat with Ghafla! Bahati revealed people have started to take him serious as a parent with exception of ladies.

He says girls have been a pain on the neck continuously reminding him to consider marrying a woman who will effectively take care of his three kids.

“Siku hizi watu wananichukua serious ispokua tudem dem, wako na ufala sana. Wanadai ohh I can be a perfect mom. Wasichana wanakuanga jokers sana. Wanadhani uzazi ni rahisi. Msichana mmoja …Ule msichana atakuja nimwachie hawa watoto siku mbili atanitoroka.”

Unfair Justice? New Twist In The Case Of Over 200 Kids Arrested Drinking In A Nairobi Bar During the Day

Remember the new age kids nabbed drinking and dancing in Jerry City Hotel and Bar on Dubois Road during Mashujaa Day? There is a new twist to their case.

Over 200 minors diverted the attention of the country away from Mashujaa Day celebrations when police busted them drinking liquor at a bar.

While initially we all thought the kids were to carry their own crosses, things changed last Monday when children’s officer at the Milimani Law Courts dropped the bomb.

The officer said the minors’ parents will be taking the bullet on their behalf. The parents of the over 200 kids arrested drinking in Jerry City Hotel and Bar will be charged for child neglect.

If found guilty, caregivers could spend 1-3 years behind bars. The Children’s officer said it was up to the court to decide whether to send them to jail or recommend probation.

Parents signed a personal bond of Kes 150,000 before their spoilt children could be released to them.

Lupita Nyong’o Reveals How Her Dad’s Political Life Has Influenced Her

Catapulted into fame for her character Patsey in ’12 Years a Slave’, Lupita Nyong’o is the first Kenyan actress to win an Oscar and the first black ambassador for the French luxury brand Lancôme.

Less than two months away from the world premiere of ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’, Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o sits down with CNN’s Robyn Kriel in a new episode of ‘Leading Women’ as she speaks about her career, her wish to change the narrative for young Africans and  how her dad’s political life has influenced her.

On being a perfectionist and the fear of failure

“I think I pursue perfection and I delight in never achieving it but perfection is always really the goal. I know that I am not perfect and that I should not necessarily ever get to perfection but the pursuit of it is where the joy comes. A healthy fear of failure is good and it definitely keeps me on my toes knowing that things could go morbidly wrong. I don’t allow myself to get paralyzed by that because I think through failure, you learn more and you grow more.”

On how her dad’s political life has influenced her

“Because I was raised observing and absorbing orature, just public speaking and all that, I think it’s definitely helped to have him as an example. He’s very funny and also very at ease in front of people and I think that’s something that may have rubbed off on me. Oral communication is something that’s very important, especially in my ethnic group. It’s the way in which history has been passed down from one generation to another. Therefore, it’s something I regard very highly in which I respect and that I work towards.”

On the importance for young women to have mentors

“I think in the world of acting, someone that has been a mentor to me is Alfre Woodard. I met her on ‘12 Years a Slave’ and she’s been such a great support in just helping me figure out this public life and how to make decisions when I can about what projects to work on and stuff like that. It’s really important to have someone with more experience than you who can shed light on things for you so that you don’t have to learn just from experience yourself, that you can learn from other people’s mistakes and choices. I have quite a few of those. I believe in referring to other people who know more than me. I never want to be too much of an expert to not seek advice.”

Check out the Full interview that airs tomorrow , October 28th at 1030am CET and 1730pm CET on CNN International

How fast kids grow is usually a common cliche’ but looking at DJ Creme’s adorable little angel, it is quite an apt statement.

PARTY CULTURE: Drink Harambees, Satanic Ratchetness and Eye-Popping Dress Codes… This is How People in Nairobi CBD Party

After we’ve analyzed the party traits of them Meru people, and those from the party capital, Westlands, let’s try and look elsewhere now… Before even Westlands happened, and everyone migrated there for their weekend fix,the ultimate Nairobi party spot was the C.B.D.

And even though many have since sworn to never party within the CBD,for fear of looking silly and uncool, and also fear of the unknown, many still throng the city center to dance the weekend away and douse themselves in tanks of alcohol. And you can tell that the CBD is still all the rage with the Number of many nightclubs opening every month-and also offering weekly themed party events. We have the grand The Edge club which has some of the most notorious and self-absorbent Bouncers ever. And then the rather tacky Sevens Club where all manner of tackiness converge. Then you have Rumors, famous for those Karaoke nights. The highly popular Mojos and Tribeka… There’s also Jazz,Mist, Zodiac,Skydome… All of them.

But mostly, the main party jurisdiction is Moi Avenue and Tom Mboya Street (And yes, there’s NO honor on Tom Mboya street).

Overall, almost all CBD clubs seem to have the same theme… Same interior outlook, same prices, same DJ set.. It’s almost like deja vu partying in any of them. The Edge does try to be different… Complete with a million inch giant screen,an upstairs VIP section and some really cool interiors and awesome disco lights. Oh,and the waitresses? Man! They’re dressed to particularly seduce. And do they do a good job.

Now, how do the folks in the CBD parry? Hmmmm….

Drink Harambees

African_men_having_a_drink_together.jpgUnlike in Westie, where a single jamaa can singlehandedly buy off the whole bar with his own money,in the CBD, the trend is usually some five guys or so coming together, sitting at a table, calling a waiter and upon inquiring on the price of,say,Gilbeys Mzinga, they will then send the waiter away and take at least 10 minutes raising the cash amongst themselves. Sometimes it may take as much as half an hour as they try and haggle over the price and over who gets to buy the soda or who gets to raise the most cash. It can be a very embarrassing exercise. And nerve-wracking one too. But niggas gotta get drunk. By any means necessary.

Tackiness

very_ratchet_in_club.jpgThis is actually a more polite and rarely-used word for ‘Ratchetness’. You will see them all over the place,on the tables,on the floor, hanging on walls and grinding themselves silly onto anything and anyone. No sense of self-respect here. Just mannerless drunkfuckery and unashamed excitement. It can never get worse.

Dress code

 wear_clean_underwear_greeting_cards_pk_of_10.jpg
For the city crowd, there’s never really a standard dress code. You can show up looking like a truck. And smelling like one. You can show up covered in cow dung. Or pull up in your mama’s sweater. It’s a free for all. No codes,no care in the world. All manner of clothing is accepted in the CBD party house. It could be a torn fishnet stockings, tattered hot pant, ripped jeans or even a decaying vest. Anything. Just anything..

Riddims and Naija Music.

bend_over_biach_na_haraka.jpgCBD clubs are chock-full of the same music from club to club to club. It’s like all the DJs are mind-controlled by the same nerve centre. By the time it approaches midnight, or 1am,the DJs all flip to the loudest, rauchiest and rowdiest Naija anthems and Jamaican yells. Patoranking will rule the airwaves in any club in the CBD as from 1am to 3am. Doesn’t matter which club you’re in.

V-Jaying

Dj_Jazzy_Jeff.jpgThis is the tired phenomena of video deejays (conclusively called Veejays) who play music that is still running on the mounted TV screens. Usually the music the DJ is playing is always the same music running across the screen all around the stuffy room. This happens almost everywhere today. But it was started by City Centre clubs. And to date,it seems like the ONLY trick they have. Or will ever have.

Stuffiness

smell_like_shit_here.jpgAh,no fresh air. Never ever. You’re in the City Centre. No way are you allowed to enjoy some fresh air. It never gets worse.

Full crowds

full_night_club.jpgCBD clubs don’t play as far as filling up the house is concerned. Any time, these clubs are teeming with hundreds of revelers. Corner to corner. Edge to edge. It’s always a full house in the CBD. Always.

No seats

night_club_with_no_seats.jpgDue to the overcrowding that we’ve just talked about, good luck getting a seat in these clubs. There’s almost always no seats left. Because by 10.00pm,all seats are taken. So is the dance floor. Try showing up at 11.30pm and you might stand yourself sore till morning.  Better still, you can sweet talk some waitress into bringing you a chair. Not sure you’ll get a place to put it anyway. Haha.

Full dance floors

skyluxx_images.jpgUnlike in Westie, where they shun the dance floor like the plague, in the CBD, the dance floor is sacred. It’s almost always full. From as early as 10.45pm… Good luck getting a dancing slot past that time. And as for the people on the floor,oh, you want to stay away from them. They’re not the best dancers. Neither do they use the best cologne… If they even use any.

Idlers At The Entrance

wait-what-meme-rage-face.jpgAt any entrance to this city clubs, you’ll surely encounter hordes of Idlers standing by,either eating samosas, buying and swallowing Vodka shots, making phone calls or just chatting amongst themselves. These same Idlers are usually also quite loud and can be quite the nuisance. They will be blocking your way almost half of the time, these Idlers.

Party Don’t Stop

party_dont_stop.jpgIf there’s a crowd that can parry all night, till the sun comes up,and magari za Githurai start lining up for passengers, it’s the CBD crowd. These ones don’t go home at 3am. Or 4am. No, they stick it out till 5.30am. 6.30. Or even 7.00am. Iko nini!

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how the good drunk revelers in the CBD do their thing. Are they proud of themselves? Most definitely! Are they about to change anytime soon? Oh please!

Give it up for the CBD.

TOMORROW : HOW PEOPLE ALONG THIKA ROAD PARTY.

Sauti Sol and Ali Kiba Hard At Work in Studio. What’s Cooking? (Photo)

Kenya’s number one Afro-pop group Sauti Sol is still riding high on their new hit Isabella, the sixth single off their third album; Live And Die In Afrika.

And before we get the hang of Isabella, the band is already back in studio with Ali Kiba. The talented individuals are doing a song that is expected to feature in Sauti Sol’s upcoming album, set for release this year. Maybe that is why they are back in the studio so fast, to enable them to complete the album by December 31st when the year comes to a close.

And we cannot think of a better collaboration as Ali Kiba and Sauti Sol are known for their prowess in crafting songs and telling a story, so this song should be pretty amazing.

The 10 Commandments Of Clubbing….You Should All Have Them at the Tip of Your Fingers

Dear brethren, Feel free to christen me the modern day Moses because today I am going to give you the 10 commandments of clubbing. Dear Israelites, Partylites and Alcoholites. The heavens have spoken. Adhere to these rules that I give unto you and you shall live happily ever after.

1. Thou shall not order expensive liquor for your friends then ask them to contribute to the bill

When you have gone out as a group of friends, there are those guys who always feel like they should order expensive liquor like Jameson or Johnnie Walker for everyone. The only problem is that these guys ask for a harambee when it comes to paying the bills. Come on. Why should you order expensive liquor for me then ask me to pay for it , Behave idiot.

2. Thou shall not have raw lungula with a one night stand

Enough emphasis has already been put on this. People still don’t listen but they should.. Never raw dog a chips funga. I repeat…never raw dog a chips funga. Once again…..never raw dog a chips funga. Now let’s sing……never raw dog a chips funga. X3. Get it? Just because they’re hot doesn’t mean that they don’t have an STD . Whether you are the fungarer or the fungaree, don’t accept it. Love yourself first.

3. Thou shall not hang out with douchebags

It annoys me when my night is ruined because I have to take care of a drunk friend. It’s a major chore that one doesn’t even get paid for.

And you don’t get the gratitude you deserve because the said friend would be like, “Mazeee I was so drunk last night I don’t remember A THING”.

If yes, stop hanging out with people who can’t regulate their alcohol intake. They aren’t doing you any favours. Such friends only serve to bring you down and take the fun you deserve away.

The thing is, a lot of people tolerate such annoyances because they care about how they seem like to others. E.g. they don’t want to come across as petty or a downer in the group.

But they forget what is best for themselves. It’s more fun to be with a group you’re more in tune with. You can even grow as a person. Don’t hold back on your own standards and I’m certain you can find a group where you truly belong in.

4. Thou shall not hit on another man’s girl

Then there are always guys who think that they are excellent pick up artists. They hit on each and every chic they see, even prostitutes. Bad behavior. Always keep off people’s girlfriends.

5. Thou shall not leave without knowing the whereabouts of the people you came with

Care about each other. I salute chics for adhering to this commandment better than men. It’s always nice to know where you friends are and who they have left with. Don’t just assume they are in safe hands. Shit happens.

ratttttttttttttt

6. Thou shall not leave your drink unattended

If you accidentally leave your drink unattended even for a minute, forget about I and get a new one. ‘Mchele’ is real. It has always been. Ever since alcohol was invented, people have been drugged, gotten raped or had their valuables stolen

7. Thou should wear comfortable shoes

I see chics at clubs all the time who wear heels that are too high, and they end up complaining the entire night about how much their feet hurt. Another thing that women do that I don’t really understand is that they take their shoes off and think that it’s completely sanitary to walk on the city street barefoot. So unless you don’t want foot fungus or glass in your foot, wear comfy shoes. Wear flats if you want.

8. Thou shall not hit the club earlier than 10pm

If you are a party animal, you know when the insane music hits the club and that’s when you enter the club to groove and get down on the music.

9. Thou shall walk away from danger

Frustration, irritation and anger can be easily built up in a club. And they all seem like they’re justifiable. After all, you didn’t do anything wrong. Does this mean you should start a fight or even confront your supposed adversary?

No.

You simply need to walk away, before you do something you regret.

Walk away, and let it go.

The media may make it seem like you’re standing up for your manhood or that repressing yourself is a bad thing. But it isn’t.

The reality is that, again it’s your own responsibility to take care and watch out for yourself. Fighting, confronting or arguing to “win” isn’t going to stop the world from throwing unfairness at you. A more stark reality would be that you may end up at the hospital or with a ruined reputation.

10. Thou shall not stand on the dancefloor if you are doing nothing

If you need to validate your evening’s experience not by dancing but by constantly updating your Facebook page or posting pictures on your Instagram, then get yourself off the dancefloor. Leave space for the serious dancers.

El Nino is Coming People! Are you Ready? This is How You Should Get Preparing Especially Against Ruthless Matatu Operators Who Will Milk You Dry

El Nino is coming people…okay; it has been for the past couple of weeks. The government seems to be taking precautionary measures but are you? Like have you gotten yourself a new pair of boots to manouever the Nairobi streets which more often than not always flood? Didn’t think so…..

Have you even started considering how you’ll handle matatu operators who will take advantage of the situation? They’ll definitely make sure to mint every single coin by charging very exorbitant fares. The more the rain drops, then the more the fares will go up. I bet most of you will start paying double so if you have ever considered buying a car, this is the opportune time.

Actually forget buying one…what if I told I can get you one for free? A really swanky one which will make sure you get the attention you deserve? Yes, through the Smartika na Airtel campaign which is currently underway, you can basically win yourself a brand new car simply by just communicating with your friends. And it doesn’t matter whatever means you use…calls, texts, whatsapp, instagram you name it…

Just to break it all down for you, this is how. Look out for a daily SMS which Airtel will send you, with your 5X target for the day. Once that is settled, make sure you Call, SMS and access data from your Airtel line so as to reach and ‘Fikisha’ your 5X target for the day

Once you FIKISHA your 5X target, you will get a Confirmation SMS on target achievement, as well as a complimentary 500% airtime bonus to use across all networks. You can use the 500% airtime bonus to browse, SMS and make calls across all networks.

You will then be automatically entered into the daily draw for a chance to win a Toyota Axio, as well as other daily cash and airtime prizes.

The 5 Main Losers With Inooro Tv Launch and The Pending Launch Of Other Vernacular Stations (I Feel For Number 4)

Well the country’s youngest TV station officially launched yesterday to a glorified reception and the excitement is yet to wear out.

The move by RMS is a game changer especially coming at a time when there was nothing fresh going on on the TV front after Standard Group’s 24hr news channel KTN news. While the viewers and RMS will no doubt be celebrating, there are some parties which are going to be quite butt hurt either for ignoring the move, or not utilizing the opportunity while some will just be victims of changes by indirect competitors. So here are the five main losers in the game;

1. Nation Media, Standard Group and Mediamax

Basically, however smart and unruffled the other big media houses may try to appear they know and almost everyone knows they have lost on this big time. With digital migration the guy with the most viewed content has bigger negotiation ability with advertisers and the companies broadcasting it.  They were already trailing Citizen Tv in terms of viewership and then Nation got QTV a while back and SG got another news channel but struggled to make it unique while QTV is quite a ratchet TV station competing more with the likes of GBS rather than the local content on offer at Citizen. So after long relying on the butter form Citizen TV RMS did what it and Equity bank do best, target the millions of the lower market segment. With Inooro Tv and other vernacular stations coming up, RMS will have quite a stranglehold on viewership in the country.

2. The existing vernacular stations

With all the trumpeting and chest beating the folks at RMS are doing, you would think theirs is the first vernacular TV station in the country. You would even think they are the pioneers of a new trend. On the contrary, there have vernacular stations from Njata TV, Kass TV, Baite TV and several others. the only reason you may not have heard of them is their poor promotional efforts and maybe they are too comfortable. Now with the advent of the muscle of RMS these parties are just about to become irrelevant.

3. Startimes

When every digital TV carrier gets the latest thing happening in the industry and you are left out, you stand out for all the wrong reasons. Given that Startimes does not have the premium content Dstv Kenya has, losing out on the content targeted and demanded by the common guy is pretty much a disaster. Just why would anyone now get your decoder?

4. DJ Afro and Company

For sometime now these guys have been the source of much of the entertainment to many in the streets and lower classes at home. The narration done in a mix of Kikuyu, Sheng and Swahili was as riveting as the action on the screen itself. Now if you have watched the planned programs from soaps to thrillers you realize that such Deejays are about to lose quite a chunk of their target audience.

5. Nigerian Movies

I am hardly a fan and I would rather be in a room with a professionally done program in a local language I have no clue about rather than engross myself in any of that Nigerian nonsense. For the first time, these movies get a serious competitor albeit indirectly so I really hope my barber, local electronics mechanic and co. are informed and makes the necessary changes.

Bahati Reveals Why He Has Not Introduced Kenyans to His Girlfriend Yet

Dating and finding the right person can be tough; dating in the limelight is even more knotty and complex.

Mostly because one cannot tell the difference between someone who loves you for who you really are and who is in love with the spotlight that comes with your name.

And that is one of the reasons Bahati gives for having not picked the right woman to introduce to the world as ‘the one’ . Bahati revealed that he is looking for a girl who loves him as Kevin the person and not Bahati the celebrity. Saying that it’s really tricky to find a girl who genuinely wants to date Kevin. He also says that he  doesn’t want to rush into dating as he is avoiding that situation where he keeps introducing different girls to the public eye as his girlfriend, like someone we know.

Bahati

Another reason he has not settled down yet is because he has to be sure that the woman he is dating loves his kids, as he does not want to introduce a different mum to his kids all the time.

But he says that once he gets the right one, he will definitely introduce her to the public.

“Kes 1.2 Billion House In Eldoret My Foot. Only a FOOL Would Build That.” DP Ruto Responds To The Viral Story About The House He’s Building (Photo)

Last Wednesday, The Star published a story about the Deputy President’s multi-billion shillings home on their front page.

“Ruto building sh1.2bn home in Uasin Gishu” was such a sweet headline on the front page of a leading newspaper that I found hard to resist.

The Deputy President was amused when he saw the amount he was allegedly spending to put up a ‘State House’ in the village.

Kenyans started trolling the deputy president after the news broke about his Kes 1.2 billion palatial home in Uasin Gishu County.

DP then decided to shed light on the whole 1.2 billion house thing after the Star’s story went viral. Ruto was equally shocked that he was coughing out Kes 1.2 billion to put up a house in a bush somewhere in Uasin Gishu while he could use the same amount to build a 100-bed hotel in Nairobi which would return his investment.

“A billion shillings can build a 100-bed hotel in Nairobi. Only a fool would take Sh1.2B to the village to build a house.” The DP tweeted.

36-Year-Old Jua Cali Still Has The Moves To Make Girls In A Club Wet Their Panties. And Here Is The Evidence (Photos)

The King of Genge may be a veteran rapper but certainly his game is still on check. This was evident when he rocked revelers at a city night club.

The atmosphere was ‘just there’, partygoers shaking legs and quaffing booze. But the moment Jua Cali hit the stage at Dragon Bar and Grill in Githurai 44, them ladies went gaga.

Paul Julius Nunda AKA Juacali could be 36 years old but don’t rule out the fact that he is still an A-List artist who ladies can’t get enough of. Perhaps he’s even better than most of this upcoming young cats.

If you hear Jua Cali bragging about how he’s ‘Baba Yao’, know that indeed he is. So ‘Bidii Yangu’ hit maker takes to the stage then all over sudden ladies get infatuated by his presence.

The irrational excessive enthusiasm from ladies sobered up all the drunkards in the club. Girls were acting like they were possessed by some ratchet demon.

Shouts, cries and all other funny voices reverberated across the hall as Jua Cali hit the stage. The rapper could notice ladies were yearning for a piece of his and he allowed them to join him on stage to shake legs together.

The story can be narrated better by the photos captured during the event. See the pictures in the photo gallery below:

Love Is In The Air; Has Comedian David The Student Secretly Engaged This Beauty? (Photos)

David The Student, he of the ‘stupit’ refrain is a man in love.

Even Owago, his friend going by his comment on a picture on Instagram agrees. The thing is, the guy can be quite slippery and on matters about his better half he has not been so forthcoming. So last night he decided to to get tongues wagging with two photos of him and a beautiful light skinned and blonde haired lady pointing to an engagement.

The comedian however, put in quite an effort in trying to hide the identity of the lady in question as they posed back to camera overlooking the beach. The picture has broken quite a number of ladies hearts going by the confessions on the comments section. Hopefully the comedian will gather more balls and do the full revelations. In the meantime, have a look at the photos:

My Husband Is Hotter Than Yours’ Julie Gichuru And Smriti Vidyarthi Celebrate Their Husbands (Photos)

Some celebrities have much of their families known to the public.

Others, keep everything under the wraps off the gaze of the camera and snooping public. Julie Gichuru and Smriti Vidyarthi are celebrities who fall in the latter category. While you have a clue as to the make up of their families you rarely see photos of them around or keep getting news about their families.

Thus it was a pleasant surprise when yesterday, all found time to share with the public photos of their loved ones celebrating what the men behind the scenes mean to them.

While Smriti went for the simple classic line of ‘Love of my life ‘ next to the photo, Julie Gichuru got a bit poetic. Next to her photo she wrote; Me and my love, my love and me, I thank the heavens above, for a friend like he’.

Here are the beautiful photos of the couples.

The Trend host flew to the UK over the weekend in the pursuit of pleasure. But his stay in the birthplace of Shakespeare had its own shortcoming, Larry was robbed.

The NTV anchor was spotted in Twickenham stadium watching All Blacks make mincemeat of the Springboks in a hotly contested Rugby World Cup semi final.

It was after he came from watching the New Zealand/South Africa game that Larry sounded the alarm when he discovered something vital was missing in his hotel room.

Larry says his passport was stolen from his hotel in London. Lucky the Kenyan High Commission to the UK issued him with another one just in time.

“My passport got stolen from my hotel in London yesterday so I was in the market for a new one this morning. I walked into the Kenyan High Commission this morning and got a new one in just under 2 hours.” Larry divulged.

Boniface Mwangi’s Present To Uhuru On His Birthday Complete With A Dedication Song

Today was Uhuru’s 54th birthday and with the country engulfed in a myriad of political, economical and social issues, you would have thought today is the day people would leave him to take a break.

On the contrary, rather than face long lists of best wishes and be opening numerous presents, the president is faced witha long bucket list. From politicians to activists to KOT, everyone had a message of what the president of Kenya should do. Infact KOT had the #WHATUHURUSHOULDDO trending. However, Activist extraordinaire, Boniface Mwangi chose a different tact, penning a letter.

It is not the first time Boniface Mwangi penned a letter to Uhuru Kenyatta. However, this time he was more hard hitting taking time to trace the current issues from the founding father’s era. He challenged Uhuru to match the lasting legacies achieved by people much younger from Malcom X to Martin Luther King Jr to Bob Marley.

The letter covers Kenyatta’s family riches, to corruption to Jubilee’s policy. At the end note, the letter even had a dedication song, ‘Sheria’ by Sarabi featuring Juliani. Get the full letter here.

After The One Million Video, Papa Dennis Opts For Exotic Dancers A Dubai Shoot (Photos)

When it comes to doing big music videos currently few people do it like Papa Dennis.

From his multi-million debut ‘Makekes’ through to the ‘Njoo’ whose launch was attended even by politicians, the diminutive musician is the king of showbizz in the gospel industry. Just recently it became known that a Dubai based tycoon had decided to invest over 10million shillings to the production of his new video.

The high cost of the video means many things will be high end and it now appears even the dancers will be exotic too. Here are the photos of the singer with some of the dancers at a practice session.

“I Got Into Song Writing Because My Face Wasn’t Good Enough”. Victoria Kimani Explains Why Her ‘Unattractive’ Face Was An Issue In The US #CokeStudioAfrica

Victoria Kimani sure has a pretty face, there is no doubt about that. But believe you me she faced discrimination in the US for having a face for the radio.

She moved from the US and settled in Nigeria to pursue her music career. You get to understand why Victoria Kimani fled the land of milk and honey to do her music in Mama Africa, when you hears her revelation.

The ‘Show’ hit maker opened up about her predicament in the US when she was grilled by Coke Studio. She says Black Americans told her she didn’t have the face for music because she was dark in complexion.

“I got into songwriting because initially my songs were good, my voice was good, my image was not cross enough. And the things that everyone loves me for here might be the same thing I was rejected for in the US. You are not white, you are not mixed race, you are not light skin. It was shocking for me.” Victoria divulged.

The songstress says following her discrimination in the US she thought she could have excelled there were she to bleach her skin even though she affirmed she wasn’t tempted to lighten her skin.

Finally, A Fresh Local Hip Hop Song Worth Listening; Kayvo Kforce’s Stay Alive

After a period of lackluster hip- hop releases from some of the leading lights around, Kayvoh Kforce offers something worthwhile in his recent hit ‘Stay Alive’.

In this laid back, hit that covers his struggle to stay in life and music you get everything that has marked him out as one of the best hip hop artists in the country.  A tight flow in both languages, great lyrics and a simple effectively done video are all the hallmarks of the new hit. The intro marks it out that this will be a song the artist will not go ham on.

It is not laden with social conscious stuff but you do not get blank lines either. He seamlessly blends fast rhymes and slower ones taking holding you all through to the cool beat and the lovely performance. However, you get the feeling he could do more but then this is a feel good relaxing song. Here is the video

King Kaka Explains Why He Drops A New Song Every 2 Week

Rabbit Kaka Sunguru has more songs than most artists who joined the industry way earlier before him. Those are just the songs that he had released, you haven’t heard about the ones he’s yet to drop.

To my understanding, releasing a song requires a great deal of time and money. It seems Rabbit has both of them.

Rashid Abdalla sat the rapper down to shed light on his flourishing music career on QTV’s segment, ‘Swali Moja’.

The most interesting part of the conversation was the number of songs the rapper has. Rabbit says he joined the industry way back in 2008 with a complete album.

He revealed he had already recorded over 700 unreleased songs, 6 mix tapes and has 4 albums which have about 16 songs per album.

Even Lulu Hassan’s hubby found his revelation hard to fathom. Rabbit told him he doesn’t drink nor smoke, so most of his time he spends in studio recording songs.

From now henceforth if you hear songs like‘Gerarahia’ and many other jam from Rabbit, just know the rapper has many other songs lined up just about to be released. 700…

SAD: Inspekta Mwala Actor Passes On After Ailing For Long

Death has robbed Inspekta Mwala crew one of its actors. The hilarious Citizen TV program which airs on Mondays will be without the services of Bokello from now henceforth.

Bon Okello best known as Bokello on Inspekta Mwala has passed on. The actor who also used to work for RMS’ Radio Ramogi died after ailing for long.

The deceased hadn’t appeared on the Citizen TV program for a while. He once featured in an episode of Inspekta Mwala while he was sick and this sparked a long debate on his health.

“Step Back Into Your Nobody Lane.” Curvaceous News Anchor Unbeweavably Claps Back At a Fan Who Criticized Her for Rocking a Weave for Two Months

Weaves in Kenya are a touchy topic and most people know better to steer clear off the topic unless they are complimenting a weave.

A few days ago a weave-showdown went down between Kamene Goro formerly of Ebru TV and a fan.

Kamene had taken to social media to praise Sababi weaves writing “@sababiweaves never let’s down! Over 2 months down the line and hair still has bounce!”
