Introduction time! Baby Ethan Huru Ndichu finally meets cucu and guka!

Citizen TV news anchor, Janet Mbugua, gave birth to a bouncing baby boy sometimes last year in October.

Janet has been a little discreet with information in regard to her son (unlike Diamond’s wife Zari Hassan with baby Tiffah), she only discloses a soupcon about Ethan.

All in all, last Sunday the Citizen TV anchor disclosed her baby had a date with her look-alike mother and her dad.

The 3-month-old celebrity baby was finally introduced to his maternal grandparents. The mother took him to spend time with his cucu and kuku.

Tens of Kenchic Inns that have dotted streets in the CBD and residential areas will be no more as from March 31st!

Kenchic Inns boast of the tastiest kuku pono in Nairobi. But the popular eateries are closing business from next month. But why?

The poultry company behind Kenchic has terminated franchise agreements with about 30 fast food restaurants that use its name across Kenya in a bid to protect its brand.

A statement from Kenchic explained the decision saying the company decided to withdraw Kenchic Inn from the market to concentrate on its core business of  processing chicken.

That means all food joints in Kenya that are using Kenchic’s name will have to find an alternative name to use for their joints.

Kenchic says all restaurants using its name will cease using it as from Thursday, March 31^st 2016. In simpler term, you will NOT see Kenchic Inns from April henceforth!!

People getting annoyed because someone decided to invest his millions on shoes? Jose Chameleone’s extravagance is giving haters a headache.

East Africa’s richest musician has bought two expensive sneakers and this has made him fall out with some of his fans.

Jose Chameleone imported two pairs of Nike Air Mags sneakers which costs £300 or Kes 44,709 each on ebay (e-commerce Company that provides sales services via the internet.)

Some blogs had reported the shoes were worth millions of shillings and this was one of the reasons why the Ugandan singer was roasted.

But Chameleone was immune to the hate spewed on him. The multimillionaire singer justified his decision to spend 88k on two pairs of shoes saying we only live once.

The days of a thief are numbered! Notorious thugs met their end when armed police gunned them down.

Three thugs said to have been terrorizing city residents were today gunned down in Ngara in a fierce exchange of fire with the police.

The thugs who were armed with deadly AK 47 rifles were overpowered by the police who sprayed bullets on them.

The incident happened along Park Road. Bullets and communication gadget were recovered from the dead thugs.

A stolen car which the gangsters were travelling in was also recovered. Residents gathered to take a look at the bodies of the 3 thugs which the cops paraded.

 

 

Nairobi Senator says his team will be using double decker buses which have a carrying capacity of 150 each to ferry the kids to his Maanzoni farm.

Mike Sonko plans to take his philanthropy to a whole new level; he plans to start a program to ferry Nairobi kids to his Maanzoni farm to enjoy themselves.

The generous lawmaker says he has launched a new program that offers free driving, swimming, fitness, sports and computer lessons to pupils from all backgrounds within Nairobi City County at his farm.

The Senator revealed his team would open a registration centre at Uhuru Park where the kids registered before being taken to Maanzoni.

A double decker would be picking and dropping the kids. All this is for free!

“Good morning watu wa Nairobi. Its healthy for your kid to do exercise everyday in the morning before going to school. My team has also launched a new program that offers free driving, swimming, keep fit, sports and computer lessons to pupils from all backgrounds within Nairobi City County at my Mombasa Road Maanzoni farm. Over the last few months,famous Kikuyu singers have been exiting the stage never to walk up on it again… It has been a turbulent time for the Kikuyu musical fraternity. And not just months alone… But years too. Kikuyu singers who were lions of yore are no longer making waves. Most of them have died mysteriously while others have descended into obscurity,unable to sing anymore,strum a guitar as spectacularly as they used to or even break into a jig.

Systematically,the creme of the Kikuyu singing Kingdom has been making a fast and saddening disappearing act… They no longer possess the wizardry they used to boast of,they’re no longer pulling in the massive crowds they once used to,they’ve been used and battered and misused. The charm is gone… So is the voice,flair,life.

Yesterday,thousands of distraught Kikuyus congregated in some sleepy village in Subukia,Nakuru County to attend the colorful funeral of a man who came to be famously known as the King of Mugithi,Salim Junior.

Salim had a less than glamorous exit from the World stage. Years prior to his death,Salim had evolved into a sad shell of his former glorious self. His entry into the world of eroticized Mugithi hit making was brilliant,phenomenal and historical.

He controlled a huge swathe of the Kikuyu musical landscape,churning out hit after hit,some really unpublishable songs full of the most atrocious sexual innuendo. So popular was he that H.E the President Uhuru Kenyatta contributed a staggering half a million shillings for his funeral.

Before his death,yet another one passed away,the equally popular Murimi wa Kahalf he who popularized the slang word ‘Momo’ immortalized in his eponymous song ‘Ino ni Momo’.

Wa Kahalf’s death,just like that of most a Kikuyu musicians’, was shrouded in mystery and controversy. It also has to be remembered that Murimi was quite young when he died… Maybe as young as Salim Junior.

There’s always a trend of losing some of the brightest and most gifted Kikuyu lyricists,guitarists,vocalists and vernacular pop stars.

Their causes of death or irrelevance vary…. And while some of them are disputed,most of them are actually true and saddening.

We have been reliably informed of Kikuyu singers who cannot even play the guitar anymore,who are bedridden,who lost their voices and who are living derelict,dark lives.. A far cry from the glamorous giants they once were. But we won’t be mentioning their names here.

So what is KILLING Kikuyu singers? What is making them irrelevant and making them lose their mojo? Their touch? Their glory?

1. Alcoholism
After conducting a survey,we were reliably informed that 90% of secular Kikuyu singers are notorious drunkards. These singers burn all of their earnings in beer dens and trashy dinghies drinking their lives away. Most of them prefer Makuti clubs where they are said to spend as much as 20,000 on a night of unbridled debauchery. They are huge lovers of the tipple and most almost always end up drinking away the nights performance fees after a show,buying massive volumes of beer for the pals and also sometimes buying beer for the whole club sometimes… Unable to rein in their irresponsibility in wanton expenditure.

2. Sugar Mamas 
Most of these singers,we have come to learn,are sustained and sexually satisfied by a harem of rich Kikuyu women who use them and misuse them as they wish. These sugar Mamas are said to be the owners of these particular clubs where these musicians play at. And after a concert,most of these singers retire with the Sugar Mama and they have a lifespan of about 2-3 years before the relationship breaks up. These sugar Mamas are also said to be cold-hearted,manipulative cougars who control these musicians and sometimes are responsible for their destruction and even death after a nasty breakup or business gone wrong.

3. Rivalry 
These singers,just like any other batch of vernacular singers,are usually very jealous of each other’s success and mostly end up setting each other up for failure using many dirty tricks that sometimes include witchcraft, poisoning or even planned murder. Not wanting to be outshone,their rivals plot death and evil for them thus totally finishing them and eradicating them from the market. It’s a very dirty, dangerous world surrounded by the most wicked,conniving colleagues with the illest intentions of any soul.

4. Promiscuity 
Promiscuity is the habit of having way too many sexual partners and these singers are well known for that. Given that they make massive amounts of cash,live flashy lives and perform almost every weekend,these singers,who command a very huge fan base across Central Kenya,mostly end up with many women for sex after their nocturnal shows. Most of the women who sleep with these musicians are mostly broke,dirty hangers-on… Old,promiscuous freeloaders who sleep with anyone and anything for money or social advancement. And also,most of these women, including the aforementioned Sugar Mummies,actually have HIV/AIDS and they are responsible for passing on the deadly virus to a section of these famous entertainers. And we all know what happens when all of these sexual diseases catch up with you…

5. Mismanagement 
90% of these singers don’t know how to manage their finances and mostly end up broke and penurious even after a decade of a successful run in the business.. Most of them also,are surrounded by ‘Yes Men’ and way too many freeloaders who live off them,exploiting them and using them for their monies as long as they’re still hot and popular. Unlike a few of them who’ve ventured into business and made quite a fortune for themselves,some of the Kikuyu musicians have totally disregarded the concept of savings and therefore have ended up lost and mired in debts and an inability to rise up from their obvious financial predicament.

6. Family 
Like any typical man,who has the means and the abilities,most Kikuyu singers have found themselves with more than one wife and this has been a problem for the smooth running of their careers. These women,who have many children, some legitimate others illegitimate,have been locked up in many wars and brutal matrimonial fights with each other over the love, attention,wealth and fortunes of their man. And owing to these fights and cross-wife jealousies,then trouble always crops up and it, in severe cases,leads up to death and dirty tricks meted out against the singer.

A while back, K24 highlighted the story of  a man who consumes 3 Kgs maize flour for one meal.

We were shocked and a bit disturbed as we watched the small man chow down a huge piece of Ugali and a small bowl of omena.

Now there is a man in Luyha land called Wandala who has left-villagers shell shocked after he ate his way through 3 basins of rice.

It’s one of the most horrific cases of domestic violence ever caught on camera in Kenya. A pregnant woman beaten silly as people watched!

A lady whose name has not been immediately established was assaulted by her husband in the presence of her neighbors.

A video footage that caught the incident shows the victim and her husband embroiled in a heated argument that quickly turned violence.

The husband slapped her before dragging her in the house where he descended on her with kicks and blows.

The last scene of the video recording showed the woman bleeding profusely. The husband was reportedly arrested and released after the victim failed to press charges.

Even after losing her job at 1 F.M, Neomi Nga’ng’a was doing pretty well and recently launched ‘Style by Neomi’, a line where curvy women can get custom fitted clothes.

This incident makes me think of ‘Machine Gun Preacher’ only that Gerard Butler used his firearm to defend his flock whereas the Bungoma preachers used guns to rob faithful.

False preachers are on the loose stealing from faithful by all methods written in the books of thieves. When biblical persuasions can’t make congregants to spew money, guns and other crude weapons certainly can!

That was a strategy that was employed by Bungoma preachers turned hardcore thugs. Police responded after residents sounded the alarm on the gang of thugs said to be preachers who were stealing from them biblically and violently.

Plain-clothed police cornered the thugs as they were driving a black Harrier from a village. They confronted the ‘preachers’ with guns ready to fire prompting them to surrender.

Angry residents flocked the scene baying for blood but the cops couldn’t allow street justice to prevail. Watch the drama in the video below:

Maina Kageni and Caroline Mutoko are the best media personalities ever been on radio. But they are now facing serious allegations that could taint their well manicured reputations.

Twitter bigwig, Cyprian Nyakundi, has gone on a character assassination mission with a lengthy online onslaught.

Nyakundi accuses the two of using their radio shows to sow seeds of immorality. He says Caroline who was driven by feminist instincts nurtured women who wanted to sell their bodies to old politicians.

Radio Africa Group, one of the companies that has the widest audience reach, has multiple channels including KISS FM and Classic 105.2FM.

Over a period of the last ten years, two strongmen emerged as controllers and dictators of public-opinion. They are Maina Kageni and Caroline Mutoko.

Caroline Mutoko who joined the radio station earlier was all about women empowerment. Being a feminist, her mantra largely revolved around “what a man can do, a woman can do better,” and she dispatched this message to precision. She was all about standards and women not entertaining mediocrity. She had little regards of companionship or marriage and trivialized men from a financial perspective.

Many misguided women fall by the wayside of her preaching. And with that came the sharp rise of single-mothers at the dawn of the new millenium, a scenario that continues to pan out to date.

Caroline Mutoko even campaigned for Vera Sidika’s nomination into the Big Brother Africa project, an even more absurd endorsement from the so-called radio queen, helping elevate the hitherto unknown socialite on the mainstream media, thus opening another career line for women that may want to sell their bodies to old politicians that Caroline Mutoko was pimping them to.

Then came Maina Kageni. Embraced by sponsors and the public alike, he teamed up with Churchill who masqueraded as a born-again Christian to launch the most toxic show in Kenyan radio history. Mornings when children were heading to school were a nightmare. The topics on discussion immoral and satanic.

Maina also has little regard for the marriage institution and thus endeavoured to compromise the image and respect of a Kenyan man, which was reduced to a cash-dispenser. Women in Kenya were programmed to only respond to financial incentives, not principles, morals or decency.

It is during the Maina Kageni-era that the word “clande” took hold, where young women would have multiple illicit sexual relations with older men for financial gain. Coinciding with the moral degradation was the advent of the booming mobile money transfer industry. No wonder every woman you meet today is always soliciting for MPESA. Kenyan woman have been programmed to be lazy and serial-borrowers of money by Maina Kageni, the self-confessed Women’s Representative of Nairobi.

What has been the net-effect of the conflicting messaging from both Caroline Mutoko and Maina Kageni? Moral malaise. Kenya is headed to the dogs. The intellectual content of their shows were so shallow that unlike Oprah Winfrey who at the height of her career started a book club helping Americans develop a reading culture, these two utilized their prime-time to perpetuate modern day prostitution. Other than a few fundraisers where they pretend to raise a few million shillings as a way to give back to society, their shows have wrecked an entire generation of Kenyans with toxic discourse.

Caroline has recently retired from radio and now increased her social media prominence taking her gospel on Twitter and a YouTube page. It’s a pity that people still take her seriously after a decade of misleading women that they can be independent and can adopt kids, watering down marriage and family life. Like Julie Gichuru, Mutoko espouses perfection, preaching a lie about her life, yet she cannot dare tell the truth of all the morals she has had to concede.

As the Communication Authority of Kenya (CAK) cracks down on radio programs that are purveyors of immorality like Maina and Kingangi’s show, the curtain is just about to fall on his career. He was recently accused of being involved in land scams whereby he partnered with many land selling groups and property developers in exchange for his endorsement.

Recent cancellations of title-deeds in Lamu deemed to have been grabbed by the Ministry of Lands included a development that was linked to Maina Kageni. Owners of property in Thika Greens are lamenting the lack of title-deeds almost 8 years after purchase, a development that was marketed by Maina Kageni.

That over and above the retrogressive contributions on radio, Maina Kageni is part of land fraud schemes is proof that gullible Kenyans were taken for a ride. They have always been taken for a ride anyways !

In their retirement, we will not tire or relent. We will always remind these two figures of the negative role they played in society, damage that may take decades to undo. That the cost of their toxic shows as regards to broken families, marriages is way more than any money they may contribute for their CSR programmes. That at the peak of their careers, Caroline Mutoko and Maina Kageni consciously chose to mislead their listeners instead of establishing a new order in Kenya that glorifies hard work, innovation and excellence.

One day in this lifetime, Caroline Mutoko and Maina Kageni shall be held to account.[sic]

The two showbiz bigwigs have been dominating headlines with their beef but thanks to Kiss FM the warring factions agreed to a ceasefire!

Bingwa Award has been a bone of contention between Nameless and Octopizzo. Octo turned down Bingwa Award for ‘Comeback Artist Of The Year’ and instead said Wahu ought to have won it.

Nameless thought Octo was looking down upon his wife and he fired back sparking an all-out war of words on social media.

Wahu tried to mediate but unfortunately bullets kept on flying and it was not until Kiss FM interfered that the war stopped.

Kiss FM-brokered deal has ended Nameless/Octopizzo beef. Both sides have issued statements saying the beef was a big misunderstanding.

Fallen one-man-guitar singer, Paul Salim popularly known as Salim Junior, was buried today at his father’s farm in Arash, Subukia subcounty, Nakuru County.

Salim Junior passed on about a fortnight ago at the War Memorial Hospital in Nakuru following a long battle with a chronic chest disease.

Hundreds of fans turned up for the funeral to bid the final goodbye to the fallen musician.

The vehicle that ferried the remains of the singer had a customized plate that bore his name in bold character.

The deceased’s guitars, which he used as the tools of trade from the moment he launched his career were also laid on the brown casket.

May his soul rest in eternal peace!

The mzungu was rotting in a Kenyan prison but thanks to two attempts on his life the world got to know about him!

56-year-old New Zealand national, Francis Edward Strange, became a global sensation after his story was highlighted.

Edward was arrested and charged for allegedly stealing Kes 42 million in equipment and gold from Mboe Sambu mining company in Kilgoris, Narok County.

The New Zealander was arrested in Nairobi in January last year and later transferred to Kisii to face charges.

Edward was sent to Kisii Prison after the presiding magistrate on his case slapped him with a bail of Kes 1 million cash which he failed to pay.

He spent five and a half months in prison. His stay in Kisii Prison was however not smooth as a convict incarcerated for the murder of his father, made two attempts on his life.

The convict attempted to rip out his throat in two separate occasions; it was the second attack that turned out to be a major determinant to Edward’s release from prison.

He refused to be cleaned up and treated unless the attack was reported to the police. His injuries were photographed and somehow the photos surfaced online.

They went viral on the internet and soon the British and New Zealand governments pilled pressure that resulted to Edward’s release.

Edward who hadn’t contacted his family back in New Zealand for 30 years, called his mother to talk about his case and his prison stay.

The family who all along thought he was dead, couldn’t believe he was alive. They thought he was a scam but after being grilled by his brother, they confirmed he was indeed the real Francis Edward Strange.

Edward isn’t going home just yet, authorities have confisticated his passport until his case is determined by the courts.

A story that gripped not only the country but the world and now there are plans to make a movie based on this horrific attack.Unfortunately, the movie’s location will not be in Kenya,it will be shot in South Africa.

And the reason why we cannot protest this is that making a movie in Kenya is now proving to be a tall order.

‘‘Kenya is a beautiful country with a lovely pool of talent. Unfortunately, it is the only country without incentives or rebates to attract filmmakers. That is why many movies about Kenya are made in South Africa. The government is lenient with licences but the incentives are not there. For example, for $10 million spent making a movie, the South African Government gives back $2 million. ’’ Richard Harding the producer of the upcoming producer revealed to Daily Nation.

Richard who also created the movie based on Kimani Murage called ‘The First Grader’ said that shooting a movie in Kenya leads to monetary losses and sometimes the producers are forced to go home empty-handed. Revealing that he was paid nothing to create the movie ‘The First Grader’ despite all the hard work and money he put into it. This was because attempts to get the Big Kahunas in Kenya to invest in his movies proved futile as the only thing Kenyan millionaires were interested in investing in was real estate. Help from the Kenyan government was not forthcoming also.

A situation that Richard describes as very sad as Kenya used to be  a prime location  for shooting movies like ‘Out Of Africa’ and ‘The Constant Gardener.’

Dr. Jose Chameleone is the king of Ugandan showbiz, you can also say the ‘Valu Valu’ singer has more influence in Kenya than any other artist from the 254.

Kenyans are yet to witness a local musician who causes activities in a town to come to an abrupt stop just because he/she is in passing by.

Chameleone did just that over the past weekend in Kiambu town. Residents thought it was President Uhuru Kenyatta who was cruising through the streets.

Chameleone’s presence in Kiambu attracted hell lot of eyes; young, youth and even old folks couldn’t take their eyes off the Ugandan music maestro.

His convoy stopped in the middle of the road for the allow Chameleone to greet residents. One would have thought he was a politician giving handouts to his constituents.

Chameleone was in Kiambu for the Petanns Tetemesha Kiambu Concert which went down last Saturday. He didn’t disappoint with his performance.

This are quite interesting times, yes when you have the maker of ‘Naked’ coming together to work with the maker of ‘Miti ni Dawa’ then it promises to be quiet interesting.

Hip Hop head Khaligraph Jones has been hanging out with femcee Njeri and even sparked rumors that there is some flame going on between the two. Well, that may well come to prove the case later given how cosy the two were getting with each other. Yesterday Nameless took offense after Octopizzo allegedly said something hateful about his wife Wahu. He said that Octopizzo should be more respectful and humble after Octopizzo suggested that the comeback artiste of the year award should be given to Wahu instead of him.

Octopizzo has come out to say that his statement was seriously misinterpreted and he did not mean to be offensive in any way

“ Hakuna watu na respect kama female artistes. The only reason why I asked why Wahu did not bag the award was not out of disrespect to her, I just realized that there was no Kenyan female artistes who won in the whole award show.” He revealed adding that he thought Wahu deserved the award more than him as she was actually a comeback artiste.

“The main thing is about the comeback not even the award. Wahu is back and it’s something we should respect.” he explained.

Last Saturday,at around 12.15pm,a fussy Diamond Platnumz,Tanzania’s biggest pop act,was seated at a corner of a popular,upscale restaurant along Kimathi Street. He was flanked by his friend Biggy Hassan,two bodyguards and his make up artist Tanashi. Diamond had been waiting for Kenya’s premier Reality Show Princess,Vera Sidika. To come along with Vera was His Rapcellency Prezzo who will be remembered for causing a television foofaraw a couple weeks ago.

Ensconced at a corner of the classy restaurant,chowing away on some chicken breasts,Diamond was talking in a hushed tone to his entourage when Vera walked in. She was alone… And was carrying a huge purple Louis Vuitton bag,her buoyant hair bouncing away as she shashyed her way towards the smiling Bongo King.

Diamond was in a hurry,it appeared as he quickly arose,gave Vera a warm hug and pulled a chair for her. She smiled and sank into the chair,Biggy Hassan saying something about her butt and they all laughed.

One of Diamond’s security guys was seen walking towards the counter to probably make some payments or something. And soon after,a waitress walked over to Diamond’s table with something that looked like packed meat pies or chicken. Diamond didn’t look up. He mostly stayed on his phone,avoiding the public as people had now started realizing who these people were. He actually pulled the Tiffah-emblazoned hoodie he was wearing over his head,whispering something to Vera.

Not long after that,Prezzo walked in. He wasn’t as uproarious as he always is. He had a rather toned down countenance,politely saying hi to some chatty girls who had noticed him and removing his earphones to hear what they were saying to him. Quickly,he scanned across the room and saw the table where Vera and company sat. Actually,Vera waved at him and then he walked over.

Just then,Diamond and Vera got up,exchanged pleasantries with him and one of Diamond’s security pulled a chair for Prezzo. But he was late. There was no time to sit. They were all enroute to a secret video shoot sponsored by one of the leading Telecommunications companies in Kenya for a song that Prezzo and Diamond had both secretly recorded. A waitress came over,handed the crew what seemed to be money folded into a bill and politely walked away. Hassan took the money and they all arose and left the restaurant.

Outside,Prezzo’s car had been clamped by the City Council. He had showed up in a shimmering blue BMW X6 and had double packed it outside Nation Center. Vera,who drives a Range Rover Sport,had used a Uber to get to town. And Diamond had packed two of his ritzy cars somewhere beside Jamia Mall.

Exasperated,Prezzo descended into a meltdown. He cursed and yanked his earphones off his ears,removed his Gucci sunglasses and frantically tried to find the guys who had clamped his car. He hollered at some ladies dressed in the traditional Yellow Aprons to come over,the ladies came,gave him little audience and then told him that he’d have to wait until the chaps who had clamped his car showed up. At this point,Prezzo went ballistic,launching into a expletive-filled rant,cursing and swearing,kicking the ground angrily and getting his phone out to make an urgent call.

Vera seemed out of place. She was at a loss over how to react and what to do. She was to ride with Prezzo in his BMX X6 and Diamond and his crew had already left for their cars. Vera stood by,idly,confused over who to call and clearly pissed that she was standing in the sun on such a hot afternoon. People had started noticing them. And this was making Vera even more uncomfortable.

Intuitively,Vera wore her stunners,walked over to Prezzo to try and calm him down while at the same time trying to rebuff some guys who’d started forming around her and wanting to talk to her and take their pics.

Some ten minutes later,some two burly chaps appeared,they talked to Prezzo pretty fast,unbuttoned their shirts,folded their sleeves,got down to their knees and started unclamping Prezzo’s gleaming BMW.

 In less than 6 minutes,these guys,dressed in blue jeans and loose shirts,had already cut through the City Council clamp,pulled it aside,demolished it and freed Prezzo’s car. A crowd had built up by now. Quickly,Prezzo jumped into the car,Vera jumped into the front seat and the two guys quickly jumped in the back seat…One of the guys then jumped out of the car,collected the yellow clamp from the ground and threw it t the boot of Prezzo’s car.

Prezzo hooted loudly to ward off the crowd of onlookers,started the engine but before the could drive away,City Council guys showed up on a van that was driven and parked right behind him. Quickly,two City Council officials jumped out and ran to Prezzo’s car. Prezzo got his gun out and shot in the air,yelling ‘Fuck You! Fuck You!’. The crowd scampered for safety… Someone almost got knocked over by a car in the ensuing melee. And as the City Council officials attempted to reach Prezzo’s car and open it, one of Prezzo’s guys punched him in the face hard,sending him staggering back as Prezzo drove away in the speed of light,loudly blaring Tupac’s California Love.

There was traffic at around the Kenyatta Avenue Junction and Prezzo cut through it,snaking his way through the red lights and driving towards Tom Mboya Street like a maniac. He was hooting loudly and yelling at other motorists most of whom swerved their cars and yelled back at him as he cut his way towards Thika Road.

And in what had started to look like a scene out of a Quentin Tarantino Hollywood Blockbuster,the City Council guys jumped into their van,started it and decided to give Prezzo a chase. They drove like maniacs,too… Maneuvering their way through traffic to almost catch up with Prezzo’s BMW at around the EastMatt Supermarket along Tom Mboya Street. Driving through carelessly parked Githurai 44 mini buses,Prezzo was soon joining the Thika Superhighway.

Hooting like psychopaths,the Kanjo guys,who now numbered around 6,drove through the Tom Mboya gridlock too and gave a maddening chase of Prezzo. In no time,they almost caught up to him way past Ngara. Prezzo drove on… Hooting loudly and changing lanes with the speed of light. His guys with their heads craned out,bullying other motorists out of the way.

It was a like a scene straight from the second installation of the Kevin Hart Ride Along movie.

Avoiding Thika Road,Prezzo joined the Kiambu Road and sped his way like a deranged biker past Muthaiga. He had now lost the guys. He drove on… The first stop was Ridgeways Mall where,it appeared,was where the action was to be.

He swerved fast,joined the Ridgeways Mall entrance road and drove down,quickly parking next to a Black Subaru Outback. He jumped out the car,so did Vera and the other two guys who banged the door and hurried along into a club around the mall.

They were to meet up with Diamond in the club as Vera had been on the phone with Diamond all through. At the club’s entrance,they were met by a surprised Biggy Hassan who listened intently to their story of shocking escape,daredevilry and sheer bravado.

Vera then rushed back to the car to pick her handbag leaving Prezzo and his men standing around Nakumatt supermarket with Biggy Hassan.

But as Vera was locking the car door,she saw the same City Council van,followed by a blue Police Landrover,drive past the mall towards Kiambu.

Quickly,Vera alerted Prezzo and his boys who were now laughing with Hassan Biggy, Diamond’s boy.

Just then Diamond’s Mercedes GL SUV drove into the mall compound. But there was no time to waste… It was time for escape. Biggy rushed to Diamond’s car and alerted him of the situation, asked his driver to turn around and follow Prezzo’s car.

Biggy then jumped into the Mercedes SUV leaving Tanashi and two other guys to ride in the other car he’d come with.

Quickly,Prezzo jumped into his BMW and started off towards the gate. But at the gate,there was a little hitch as the security guy insisted on checking the cars before they left. It was soon over and Prezzo joined Kiambu Road,tearing down towards Muthaiga,with two other cars belonging to Diamond’s entourage following closely.

But as Prezzo neared the Muthaiga police station,they realized that an impromptu road block had been erected and all cars were being flagged down. What happened is,the City Council chaps had mistaken Prezzo and crew for hardened criminals who were fleeing the City after a robbery or heist and had reported their car and activities to Muthaiga Police.

And at the ad hoc Road Block,Prezzo knew his goose was cooked.

Their car was flagged down,so was the two other cars behind them with one of them,an ostentatious Mercedes SUV,belonging to and ferrying the biggest East African music luminary.

Interestingly,two officers walked towards Diamond’s Mercedes and ordered it open. Diamond was sitting at the back left,head buried in his phone,with huge Gold headphones draped over his head. A police officer tapped on him,nudging him and asking him ‘Kijana unaenda wapi?’

The other officer was talking to Diamond’s driver asking for his Driving License and other things. Diamond merely looked up and simply said, ‘Ongea na ule tafathari. Ndugu yangu…’

Just then,cops asked Diamond and his security to step off the car.

‘Iko search flani tunafanya… ‘

Prezzo had already parked at the side of the road. Traffic was building up. And one of the officers seemed to be making an urgent phone call.

Diamond declined to get out of the car,removing some card from his wallet and handing it over to the cop who scanned it,looked up at Diamond again, asked him something quick and his face lit up.

‘Tarus… Tarus… Ebu Kuja… ‘ the cop called his partner who hurried towards Diamond’s door.

Meanwhile,it was discovered that Prezzo was carrying a gun. A phone call was quickly made. And Vera was asked to step off the car. She declined. Rolling up the window and reclining her chair,exasperated.

‘Diamond Diamond!’ some college girls,driving in a green Mazda Demio right behind Diamond’s Mercedes started screaming,craning their heads out.

‘Hii ni Ile Diamond musician….?’ Tarus, the cop asked.

Diamond removed his sunglasses,waved at the girls and the whole traffic went berserk.

‘Pigia Inspector Koros! Pigia Koros saa hii!’ an order was made.

It’s 2.27pm. Outside Muthaiga Police.

Out of nowhere, Maina Kageni has come… Driving his famous Red Chevrolet that he quickly parks outside the police station. It’s about to get interesting.

Mgenge True wanted Kenyans to appreciate little-known Eddie Gathegi who has starred in a number of dope Hollywood movies and series.

The mistake Nonini did was to mention Lupita Nyong’o who he said ONLY featured in two Hollywood movies yet Kenya sing her praises whenever wherever.

A noble thing for Nonini but the way his message came out, if Lupita was Nameless then Mgenge True would see fire.
