Mwaura and his wife became a sensation when he shared photos of his ruracio, wedding then his honeymoon in Indonesia.

Kenya’s Geoffrey Kamworor and Bedan Karoki rushed past one of the world’s greatest long distance runners Mo Farha to secure gold and silver respectively.

This was at the recently concluded IAAF/Cardiff University World Half Marathon Championships at Cardiff, Wales.

Renowned singer Avril recently lost her father after he reportedly succumbed to a heart attack last Tuesday evening.

Following his death, Avril has received overflowing support from fans and her friends. Touched by these acts of genuine support Avril wrote “Saying thank you is not enough .. I am so grateful to so many people who have genuinely stood by my mother, brother and sister. To my friends that I count as family because of what you did today and have been doing for the past two months. Thank you thank you thank you. May your cups overflow with blessings upon blessings and may your hearts’ desires be fulfilled beyond measure.”

And for her father, Avril wrote this poignant message:” Dad, I’m going to miss you so much but I know you are going to be with me through everything like you always were…I know your spirit will be with us and we will see it in the generations to come. Either the lions are finding it a better leisure form walking out of parks into human settlements or someone at KWS is up to some mischief.

Of late cases of lions keep popping up in different areas each new week. Right now, the KWS officers are in Isinya on a wild chase for a lion spotted roaming in the area. Being a more open location the officers have their work cut out but they can enlist the help of Maasai Morans in the area. Here are photos of events as the search went on. However, new information reveals that the police have shot dead the lion after it injured someone on the Isinya-Kajiado road. The young man has been admitted to hospital.

Some have beaten me up. Others have threatened to kill me. I know those who have been killed by their clients over payment. I worked mostly at night during the cover of the darkness because my job is illegal. But I had another career. Music which also doubled as my hobby. When I finally embraced it, many of my former clients said once a prostitute always a prostitute. Only that I changed my kind of clients due to stiff competition. With my new clients they are not aware of protection and that I would infect them with all manner of diseases. But here I stand as a fully reformed and rehabilitated prostitute. With my own band which earn money “in the right and honest way.”
I’m not prostituting myself not even for free anymore.

You too can be liberated. It does not matter which prostitution you are chained to. You can’t keep on prostitution yourself for the rest of your life. All you have to do is identify what else you can do to supplement and seek help and trust me you will find it.”

What exactly defines a life well lived? That’s a question which was posed in the office the other day and which led to a heated debate for a whole afternoon. Most of the guys had very conflicting opinions as to what they consider being successful.

The examples ranged from downright simplistic to outright outrageous. The perpetrator, Mohamed Deeq, was last Friday taken to a Wajir court to face charges of stabbing his wife with a knife.

But Mr. Deeq came up with an ingenious strategy to make sure his case didn’t proceed. He smeared himself with human faeces just when he was being taken to court.

The suspect filled the courtroom with a pungent odor that the presiding magistrate had to stop the court proceedings and adjourn the hearing of Deeq’s case till April 22^nd.

Anne Kansiime won the hearts of Kenyans through her eponymous TV show ‘Don’t Mess With Kansiime’ that aired on Citizen TV but how much do you know about her private life??

28-year old Ugandan comedian Anne Kansiime got married to the apple of her eyes Gerald Ojok in 2013. Ojok quit his job as a lecturer at Kyambogo University to be his wife’s full time Ugandan manager. UK-based Johnson Mujungu remained her international manager.

Kansiime is yet to be a mother despite being married for close to four years. She yearns to have kids before she clocks 30. (She’s celebrating her 29^th birthday on April 13^th)

“I really want to get children; I can’t push it too far off… Lord knows my African man can only wait for so long.” Kansiime was quoted as saying in an interview last year.

It seems the couple has been trying to get children but…

The taxi wars have cooled somewhat but nor before at one point threatening to claim lives and already seeing the loss of vehicles.

The local taxi groups were caught unawares when Uber made an entry in the country and could not believe their eyes as they lost clients to the cheaper and better services offered by the multinational Taxi group.

Their reaction was however pretty crude and saw the public turn against them. They engaged in acts of harassment and bullying and began burning Uber taxis and beating their drivers. The police decided to crack down on the menace before it became widespread and as a result six men were in court to face charges for an attack that happened in February.

Domestic violence is quickly becoming a case where all the partners are at risk.

While previously the issue saw many women being victims, it is quickly seeing men under threat and even at a worse off rate. Men are either being stabbed to death, beaten when they are sober or drunk.

Just recently, a man was given a thorough dog’s beating by the wife as the neighbors watched and cheered. The worst thing that comes to ‘women to men’ violence is that it is laughed off and even the women are encouraged for doing it.

Over Easter Rabbit, King Kaka was spotted in the company of a popular Machachari actress called Tosh.

Tosh was among the main stars of his new song, Papa featuring the talented group, Elani.

The song talks about King Kaka’s relationship with his father.

“Papa for me is personal. Since I started my music career I have never really spoken about my father. He passed away before I could forgive him and it haunts me to this day.” says King Kaka

What did you do for the four days of Easter holiday? For the king of Kenyan comedy, he decided to feast in the bush.

Churchill and friends slaughtered a goat to enjoy their Easter festivities in the bush in their own unique way. They summed up their bush adventure with a hike through the rugged terrain between Kajiado and Machakos border.

Ameru Festival over the past Easter holiday was a star-studded affair as Nameless, Jaguar, Willy Paul, MC Jessy, DJ Pierra Makena, Nick Mutuma among other celebs made an appearance.

Amerucans gathered at Meru Technical Institute for 2016 Ameru Festival led by their governor Peter Munya who’s splendid look in a leather jacket and jeans attracted many eyes.

Corporal Mercy Wandera many not be a name any one remembers.

However, everyone knows of the story where a female police officer was assaulted by a white man acting as the Deputy President’s pilot. While everyone seems to have moved on, especially the government, an NGO has now moved in to award her courage.

The NGO, Aids Reality Awareness Campaign and Drugs Abuse Prevention Surveillance (ARECA-DAPS) has said the corporal actions, helped stabilize an incident which could have been volatile and end up embarrassing the Deputy President.

The NGO awarded the corporal a Community based Hero Award which she will receive through the Inspector General of police Joseph Boinnet.

He was promised an internship position at the Judiciary with CJ Willy Mutunga, he rubbed shoulders with the dopest TV personalities in Kenya. But despite the bright future ahead of him, Morris Mwenda ran back to the streets.

Morris Mwenda wowed everyone with his command of the Queen’s language and his brilliance. The former street boy was picked from the streets and housed at Gachie shelter.

But a video uploaded on Facebook by Abdulghani Adam showed Mwenda roaming the streets of Nairobi at night with other urchins.

Mwende said he escaped from Gachie shelter due to unfavorable conditions at the home. He says he was thoroughly whipped by a caretaker at the home over a book.

But Sam Gichuru of Nailab who also contributes to Homeless of Nairobi (HoN) was quick to defend Gachie home.

He says Mwende and 10 other boys who escaped had already returned to Gachie with the exception of two whose whereabouts are still not known.

“Morris somehow found his way back home at Homeless of Nairobi in Gachie, I found Morris cleaning the house and I left him helping his mum with dinner, all the other 13 boys are back other than 2. They made up and he apologized. This photo’s shows you the difference between an adopted mothers love and us Facebook activists.” Wrote Gichuru in part.
