Kaberere’s widow Njesh Kahura is leading the nation in celebrating the second anniversary of Peter Kahura Kaberere aka Qabbz.

The fallen gospel singer passed on in 2014 in a freak accident; he was electrocuted to death at his Nairobi car wash.

UON closure may not have been celebrated by the students but some former alumni have been happy with the move.

Among them is the Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen  who has called for the disbandment of SONU. Speaking on the closure of the University, Murkomen who once served as student leader said ‘ it is good UON was closed. Now SONU should be banned and later reconstituted with fresh leadership that reflects the calling of a university education and our national covenant.’ 

UON has been closed down and the students decided to make it worse by burning down the Mamlaka hostels with the prefab structures for first year students burning down completely. The events at the university have led to closer scrutiny of SONU and its long serving leader Babu Owino. The adminstration and the police have also been questioned for their handling of the whole matter.

Has Babu Owino finally got scared that he decided to flee to South Africa? Airport photo doing rounds on the internet suggests so.

Conspiracy theorists and rumormongers are coming up with all sorts of absurd information revolving around botched UoN elections that sparked chaos and resulted to the closure of Kenya’s most prestigious public university.

Yesterday night marked a crucial point in the lives of Paul Sang and William Ruto.

It was a moment of vindication especially for the Deputy President who can now move around and focus on his political career knowing he will move around without the burden that comes with being a suspect of committing crimes against humanity.

He was not alone in his celebration. His hometown, of Eldoret burst into song and dance as the resident took to the street to celebrate the victory of one of their own. Most streets in the usually quiet Eldoret town were teeming up with jubilant individuals all happy at the outcome.

Celebrations can be heard from all quarters as Deputy President William Ruto and journalist Joshua Arap Sang have been relieved of the heavy laden that they have been carrying since March 2011.

Ruto and Sang are the last suspects in “Ocampo six” to be acquitted of crimes against humanity committed during 2007–2008 post-election violence.

Presiding judge Eboe-Osuji said Ruto and Sang’s case were terminated due to troubling incidence of witness interference and intolerable political meddling.

Meanwhile a jubilant mood has engulfed Ruto’s home turf of Eldoret as his supporters take to the streets to celebrate the landmark ruling.

A-list socialite Corazon Kwamboka has moved to a posh rental apartment in Langata!

Kenyan women have been on the receiving end for their gold-digging habits for some time now.

Uhuru Highway and Waiyaki Way came to a standstill after the university of Nairobi (UON) students went berserk over the re-election of Babu Owino as SONU president.

The rampaging students razed down SONU offices and resorted to throwing stones at motorists.

The angry students believed that Babu Owino had rigged the elections as his rival Jacobs was leading in all campuses by midnight Friday only for things to take a grim turn after Babu was announced as the leader.

It took the intervention of the GSU to quell the rioting students and videos surfacing on social media indicate that the GSU used extreme force to tame the rioting students.

Boniface Mwangi who has watched the protests from a distance had this to say “Babu Owino is a criminal protected by the state and Nairobi University. Babu victims brutalized for protesting that.”

He collapsed and died just after he was done running a race that was part of police recruitment exercise!

The late Mwarika Rika was among thousands of Kenyans that turned up for the countrywide police recruitment exercise.

The 23-year-old youth from Kwali County successfully completed physical inspection of his body and was to participate in a six-kilometer race meant to assess recruits’ fitness.

The deceased ran the race and finished 14^th but he couldn’t catch his breath when he crossed the finish line.

He collapsed and he was quickly rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. Hundreds of recruits had turned up for the recruitment exercise in Kwale.

Just as it was planning to lay off 600 workers by May, Kenya Airways has been hit with a massive loss of specialized man power.

After its record 25.7 billion loss, the airline resorted to stringent cost cutting measures and this culminated with the decision to lay off 600 workers come May this year. However, the management had not envisioned it will be losing a crucial part of its workforce to a competitor especially given the training it invested in them.

It is said the move from Qatar Airways happened when they loaned an engineer from KQ who proceeded to solve the mechanical problem in just an hour whereas the usual Qatar Airways engineers usually do it in about 5 hours.

This proficiency along with the specialization of the engineer led to the approach by the Airline to approach 20 of KQ’s best engineers with an offer to triple their already high salaries. Lamenting the potential loss, KQ HR officer Alban Mwenda said it is a usual occurrence especially given that the Arab airlines are on an expansion and the highly trained KQ staff is in high demand.

Bob Collymore became a subject of interest after he married a Kenyan lady Wambui Kamiru in a simple wedding at a private residence in Kitusuru.

Kenyans were having difficult a time trying to find out how and why the 57 year old Safaricom boss had only decided to marry in old age.

But Bob came to Kenyan when he was already married to a white woman whom he had sired with a beautiful daughter.

Bob who was born in South American nation of Guyana found his first love when he moved to the UK. The Safaricom boss walked down the aisle with his first wife years ago but unfortunately things didn’t work out.

Twitter bigwig Cyprian Nyakundi says Prezzo’s mother convinced Betty to meet Prezzo in person so that he could offer formal apology for his behavior.

Nyakundi says Prezzo’s meeting with Betty laid the groundwork for the crumbling of Betty’s marriage as she would fall for the rapper’s booby trap.

“Reports reaching the Cyprian Nyakundi newsdesk indicate that Prezzo worked with his mother as a tag-team on pursuing Kyalo. Immediately after the disgraced interview where an intoxicated Prezzo made a fool of himself on live television, his mother telephoned the KTN anchor to “apologise” for her son’s ridiculous behaviour on air. Indeed, Kyalo tweeted that Prezzo’s mum had contacted her and apologised on his behalf, and a meeting was allegedly set-up to clear the air between the two by the sly mother, owner of Makini Herbs and Clinics. Being a dumb bimbo, and excited by simple overtures, Miss Kyalo accepted to meet Prezzo for a formal apology, setting the stage for one of the most high-profile divorces in recent times.” Nyakundi wrote in part on his blog.

Nyakundi goes on to explain that Betty visited Prezzo at his apartment along Statehouse Road and that when things ‘graduated to another level.’

Nyakundi revealed Dennis Okari discovered his wife was exchanging crude texts with Prezzo prompting a physical confrontation between the two which eventually led to their alleged split.

“Reports indicate that beyond the texting, Betty Kyalo has visited Prezzo’s apartment located along Statehouse road, and indulged the suspiciously thin-looking singer in some behind the scenes pleasures that we may not be able to elaborate on this sober platform. The brown stuff hit the fan after Dennis Okari, an investigative reporter discovered raunchy text messages between the anchor and overrated but underwhelming singer, prompting a physical confrontation with Betty claiming that he hit her.” [sic]

The twitter bigwig blamed Betty for orchestrating the downfall of her marriage with her unfaithfulness. Kenyans were however quick to point an accusing finger at Nyakundi saying he was defending Dennis Okari because they shared same ethnicity.

A number of Chinese men are increasingly becoming caught up in poaching business.

This time round it is three of them who were busted at the JKIA with poached wildlife products. The three were caught by KWS officers who discovered they were carrying lion teeth and ivory products. To try and conceal their contraband from the airport detectives, the three had tried their best to conceal the contraband in cooking foil before inserting the products in condoms.
