Ugandans educate us on how not to approach a Ugandan girl

Don’t you just love it when comedians find a hilarious way of passing on their message to their audience? Especially when that message may just end up saving your life and your manhood.

Take this video for instance. It is from a Ugandan production, displaying to everyone the consequences of making the wrong move on a Ugandan girl.

This is for all the men out there. Get it right on the first try, or get out!

Esther Arunga’s Husband Flees the UAE Over Security Concerns

The Timberlakes are back with even more stories about their endangered with even more political allegations.

After fleeing Kenya for his life, former Presidential aspirant Quincy Timberlake, has left a GCC country to unknown destination. Confirmed reports indicate that the young politician left the country with intentions of not coming back for his usual business operations. Timberlake boarded an Asian flight at a GCC Airport.

“Timberlake was seen at a GCC airport with heavy luggage an indication that he may not be back anytime soon,” an Emirates airlines hostess told us. Timberlake is a GCC business investor but until then business can not go on as usual and therefore he has decided to bow out for his security reasons as the region proves to be uninhabitable any longer. Kenyans have been died lately in the UAE in unexplained circumstances.

According to one of his close aides who talked to us on condition of anonymity, the eloquent politician was headed to a secret location in one Oceania pacific after being threatened by Prime Minister’s close allies. He’s seen as a traitor and one from PM’s own backyard who rose up to challenge the incumbent politically. Luos are now holding him responsible for causing the political downfall of the Prime Minister and have placed a bounty on his head whether the PM wins elections or not.

“What is absolute is that he must die whether we win elections or not, he must be brought down or else he remains a big future political stumble block,” a PM’s die hard based in Dubai told us.
Detectives from Kenya police and NSIS raided Timberlake’s very last hideouts while still in Kenya on Saturday night looking for post election evidence which he’s suspected of storing, but to their disappointment he fled the GCC with the documents and was on his flight to unknown destination.

It’s known that the controversial politician revealed to the Kenyan press that he has been threatened by Prime Minister’s close henchmen for unmasking the dark side of Raila Odinga. He has severally claimed that his life was in danger, hinting that the threats came from Odinga’s allies and his wife’s family. The PM is always known to institute criminal libel proceedings against his political opponents with intentions of locking them up forever and Timberlake has already tasted that side of his venom.

“We shall pursue him from Fiji, Manus up to Nauru because those are the islands known to be currently collecting data of refugee applicants and he may be seeking asylum too and we’re aware of that. We’re still capable of using all means available to wipe him off even it means to desperately act as one of those refugees but to poison his food or inject him with mercury then flee away,” a Kenyan fanatic of the PM based in Dubai told us.

Leaflets with death threats against Timberlake are lately seen almost everywhere in some places in the GCC warning him to either quit the area and save his life or face the same blade that “shaves” others and go unnoticed.

“We torched his houses, cars and businesses. It seems it did not dawn in his inner pains yet. We compromised the media to tarnish his name and has become the most hated Kenyan up there with politicians. Our final mission is on course, to take his life away and shut him up for life,” Ayugi Orunda confirmed to us via phone.

Kenyan media holds a belief that Timberlake has enough evidence to indict Raila Odinga and his ODM clique of war crimes at the International Criminal Court (ICC) for his role in the 2007/08 post-elections violence that claimed lives of 1,333 people and over half a million displaced. Therefore the corrupt media chief editors are up in arms to ensure that their “cash fueler” the PM is well protected and instead Timberlake’s name remain tarnished further in his absentia.”

Here is a list of journalists that KTN has poached from other stations so far (media genocide)

In a bid to restore its lost glory, KTN has lately been going hard on getting back their long lost journalists and even buying some new ones, from the now thriving TV stations like NTV and Citizen TV.

It has now become survival of the fittest in the media as they strongly eliminate competition by taking the best of the best from each other in magnitude. This is now being referred to as ‘media genocide.’

Lately, KTN has been on a roll, buying some of those ‘best’ journalists. Come to think of it, the greatest of journalist were all bred in KTN from way back.

The Standard Group Managing Director, Sham Shollei is now returning the favour to other stations by poaching back journalist. Some of them are: Muhammed Ali (from NTV), Emmanuel Taalam (CCTV), Njoroge Mwaura (remember him), Cynthia Makuyu, Erick Njoka (CCTV), Hussein Muhammed (Citizen TV).

There are a whole lot more journalists preparing to join KTN though it has not yet been made official. Funny thing about this is that they are all from NTV: Irene Kimani, Pauline Kareithi, Linda Ogutu, Joe Ageyo, Rita Kinina, Smirti Vidyarthi, James Smart and Ferdinand Omondi.

What buffles me, is the fact that Ann Kiguta has just resigned from KTN and is headed to NTV, while everyone else is facing the opposite direction. I’m begining to think that this is not only a matter of who is paying better, but mostly based on company politics.

What do you think?

CAUTION: Conman Using A “Caroline Mutoko” FB Profile Is On The Loose

Here’s a cautionary note from Caroline Mutoko, which she asked us to share:

“It’s come to my attention once again that people are still happily giving money to people who are promising you jobs in my name. Stop it.

Anyone telling you that is a conman/conwoman.

The culprit in question uses the name Mr Wisdom Aseka on 0707883835 and uses the e-mail address caro-mutoko@yahoo.com

I don’t solicit funds for any charity, foundation or home in Kibera or Mathare or ANY PART OF KENYA. I’ve said it once I’ll say it again – there are no jobs in exchange for any money at Radio Africa – not on-air, not anywhere.

The person he tried to con has gone to the police.
This is the third time this year I’m sending out this alert.
Let your friends know – be careful.”

Take A Look At DJ John’s New BMW 5 Series

The deejay business is certainly going well these days. This explains why MCSK is all up in deejays businesses.

DJ John has just made his mark by getting himself a BMW 5 Series. One thing I’ve noticed, even though most of the deejays are finally ripping what they sow, it takes quite some time to reach where these guys are right now.

Check out DJ John’s new type of car.

Dan Chizi Aceda, to spice things up. And to top it all up, Makadem will also be performing, Oh my God. Then Madtraxx brings some new school to it.

Kenya’s Best Vocalist Gives You a Taste of the Coast This Holiday Season

The holiday season is just around the corner, which means it’s time to relax and chill out at the coast. In order to put you in the right mood, Alai K and Kombo invite you for the Pwani Grooves night which takes place on 14th December at the Goethe Institut Auditorium from 8:00 p.m. Entrance is Kshs. 250.

Pwani Grooves combines the styles of two musicians from the coastal side of Kenya, showcasing the Mijikenda and Swahili styles of music. Alai K and Kombo with his Afrosimba Band will fuse rhythms like Kirumbizi, Mwanzele, Sengenya and Chakacha with modern instruments to bring the melodies of the coast right to the center of the busy and chaotic city of Nairobi.

Alai K was raised in a Swahili cultural environment which influenced his current way of singing and musical direction. His songs feature Swahili poetry and storytelling. And if you were wondering what song was playing just as the credits rolled on Nairobi Half Life, that was his Ndege Ruka. He also featured in the BLNRB Project with Just-A-Band, Jahcoozi and Teichmann Brothers among others.

Kombo was exposed to live music from an early age. Over the years, he learnt to play several instruments, like percussion and guitar, was part of several bands and performed at various festivals in Africa and Europe. Kombo’s first album Ndivyo Ilivyo was completed in 2009 and he is right now working on his sophomore album.

This is the craziest dance style I have ever seen. Very rythmic though

P-Unit just launched their ‘You Guy’ video last weekend at SkyLuxx Lounge and according to our sources, it was one huge and unforgettable launch.

Unfortunately, we still don’t have access to the video but we will in a short while. Meanwhile, I have been watching this fill-up video that has been sitting for the soon-to-come original video of the song (you guy), and there is this lot of guys who make this song even more entertaining.

Whoever compiled this various videos and blended them into this track, included a Jamaican dance crew that tears it up on top of a roof.

Their style of dancing is most unique. I have actually never seen this kind before. They dance style involves the male dancer bouncing off of a female dancer’s body, back to back, nonstop, with rhythm.

It is actually very entertaining and interesting. These guys even do it by the head.

Check out the video below.

P-Unit to rock Dubai Rugby Sevens

Shortly after launching their much anticipated video for the hit song ‘you guy’, P-Unit are about to fly over to Dubai for the Rugby Sevens.

Watching the game is not all they’ll be doing. P-Unit will be the main performers of the night (after party).

The Dubai Rugby Sevens will be going down on the 30th of November and you know nothing completes a rugby game more than the after party. Actually, most people just go for the after party. I know, very disappointing, but still, fun!

The after party will be held at the Ramee Royal Hotel in Dubai and P-Unit will be the main show of the night, with The Takeover deejays on the decks.

This will be one amplified concert you don’t want to miss (if you are in Dubai, that is).

Hot Tune From Fast-rising Music Group

Large Gang are back with a brand new single, True African. The track follows up on the group’s breakout hits, La La La and Fun.

Large Gang are set to become the next big thing in the Kenyan music industry. Their track, La La La, got heads bopping, even Just-A-Band’s Blinky Bill admitting he likes their sound after being asked about local artistes he would collaborate with.

True African sounds like it has largely been influenced by Kwaito right from the beats to the way the band flows on it. Check out True African below.

The funniest Christmas Song parody to ever come from Kenya

You have probably been hearing it on your favorite radio station, mostly 1FM during Nonini’s show in the morning. Or maybe you have heard it from a friend’s phone. One thing is for sure, you cannot listen to this whole track and watch the lyrics video with a straight face.

It has been proved impossible. Some guys saw it fit to do a parody of the very old Christmass song you all know as ‘Joy to the World’. You know the song that we all grew up with, singing almost every other festive season? Honestly, really boring, but these guys have just made it a whole lot more interesting.

The lyrics here are just crazy, hilarious and are not forced onto the song.

Funny thing about this song is the fact that they actually made quite an effort to do this parody. If you went to music school, you will tell that these are real musicians, hitting all the vocal ranges need to do this kind of track.

Have a listen to the track below.

Photos From the Scene of Alex (BBA)’s Horrific Car Crash

Alex Mgash, Kenya’s representative in the Big Brother Africa Stargame competition, recently was recently involved in a near-fatal car accident that left him with a broken leg, fractured bones and dislocated shoulder.

He was then rushed to St. John’s Ward where he immediately entered the Casualty for an operation. His brother Malonza, who was also a BBA contestant, recently told Ghafla! that Alex was doing fine and recuperating in hospital.

The photo was posted by Malonza that shows the extent of the damage on the car. Glad everyone, though hurt, survived the crash. Click to enlarge.

A School in Rift Valley Names Dormitory after Jaguar (Photos)

Singer Jaguar’s humility (despite his vast affluence) and benevolence is not only felt in Nairobi but countrywide as well. Recently, the singer and businessman was immortalized by a school in Rift Valley for his charity works.

The school which is in Cherangany named one of their new dormitories after the singer and even accorded him the priviledge to inspect a guard of honour mounted specially for him. All these came after Jaguar sponsored a kid from the area by paying for his education up to University. Acknowledging his generosity, the students from the school asked their headmaster to invite Jaguar to their school.

He later planted a tree to commemorate his charity works. Take a look;

PHOTOS: International Film Being Shot in Town

A “top secret production” is currently being shot in the city. The location this morning was on Kimathi Street where Blue Sky and Film Studios trucks have been parked most of the morning.

Last month, there were rumors that Hollywood director Sam Raimi was expected in the country to shoot a commercial for Guinness. A member of the crew refused to indulge more details beyond it being an international production and that it is yet-to-be named (working title also not provided).

Check out a few photos from the set below.

Chris Brown Deletes His Twitter Account Ahead of Kenyan Tour

As Kenya looks forward to international RnB star, Chris Brown’s, first ever performance in the country next month, the star is facing a backlash from a section of the public after he engaged in a vulgar war of words with comedian and writer Jenny Johnson on Sunday.

It all started when Chris Brown posted a picture of himself and tweeted “I look old as f***! I’m only 23,” and Johnson responding, “I know! Being a worthless piece of s*** can really age a person.” Chris Brown did take this kindly as he tweeted vulgar insults that included calling Johnson a “hoe” and suggesting she performs oral sex on him. Johnson corrected his spelling during their exchange, and tweeted a link to a story about Brown’s 2009 arrest after assaulting Rihanna.

The tweef which lasted for at least half-an-hour ended with Chris Brown deleting his account but not before a message to his fans “To teambreezy… Know that I’m not upset. Just felt like entertaining the ignorance … Further proved my point of how immature society is. #CarpeDiem. Catch me in traffic …”
It’s not the first time that Chris Brown is shutting down his Twitter account as he previously shut down his Twitter account in December 2009 after ranting about retailers he thought had refused to carry his album, Graffiti.

Here’s how TPF5 Winner Ruth Matete Has So Far spent the 5 Million She Won

For some time now, rumour mills have been abound with allegations that TPF5 winner, Ruth Matete is broke after lavishly spending the 5 mil she won at the culmination of the show. However, Ruth has since come out to refute the claims and even went as far as explaining how she had spent part of the cash.

Speaking to Word Is, Ruth denied reports that she was broke as alleged by a section of online media, “Is it?” she asked laughing, adding, “That is their story. But that is not the case.” She also denied reports that she had moved to a house in Imara Daima estate and used a quarter a mil to furnish it. “Even if I’m a millionaire I would not pay that kind of money for house rent,” she said revealing, “And yes, I moved into a new house so I had to furnish it and I did but it did not cost me more than Sh250,000.”

Asked whether it is true that she went for a vacation for three weeks in Zanzibar with rumoured beau and fellow contestant, Jackson, this was her response, “I did not go for a holiday, I went to Rwanda and Burundi for one and half weeks to attend a wedding and to visit Samantha.” She also divulged that she had bought music equipment for the band that she co-owns with her dad adding that her dad is currently in the States and would bring back more equipment for the same project.

So, how did she spend the rest of the money? Well, here’s how;

Sh.980,000 – a car (Toyota Premio)
Sh. 500,000 – tithe to her Church (House of Grace)
Sh. 70, 000 – mobile handset (iPhone 4S)
Sh. 90,000 – bash for her friends and “social media supporters and campaigners”

Labalaa & Watumwa Release Video for Post-election Violence Track

Watumwa and Labalaa’s collaboration on Bado Mapambano is finally out on video. Watumwa teamed up with conscious rapper Labalaa and the melow voiced Acline to record Mapambano at NYNP Studio.

The idea to record Bado Mapambano was necessitated by the need to rally the youth against divisive politicians. Music is a powerful tool and with less than six months to the general elections, Watumwa feels it’s necessary to instill a message of peace and unity in the youth as a way to mitigate the effect of divisive politics.

This is meant to ensure that the youth are not misused by politicians to cause mayhem as was experienced in the last election. Check out the video below.
