The girl using the profile name, Wandia Precious, has apparently been using Shee’s images on her profile.

“There is a girl out there impersonating me on Facebook. She’s calling herself Wandia Precious. She’s using all my photos and she’s conning men by manipulating them to send cash to them in exchange for sex when they meet,” she told Ghafla!

Shee, who recently made her acting debut  and is set to appear in an upcoming play, clarifies that her legit Facebook accounts using the names Sheeroh Walcott Waruinge and Jacqueline Shiro Waruinge.

This is not the first time imposters have been used to fool fellow users out of their money. Julie Gichuru, Caroline Mutoko, Toxic and Kirigo Ng’arua have all been victims.

Drama In The Gospel Industry As Ringtone Gets Dissed By His Fellow Gospel Artist!

Just when you thought the Kenyan gospel industry was finally stabilizing after reeling from the scandals that rocked it from late last year to early this year, someone in the gospel fraternity finds a reason to rock the boat.

And this time Ringtone is on the receiving end. Remember that interview he gave Buzz in which he said that the Kenyan music industry is a divided house? Well, not too many people were pleased with that assertion and they are now returning fir. Or rather, one gospel artist is returning fire.

And he goes by the name Ole Willie. This Eldoret based chap according to Pulse Magazine was quoted by them having said;

“He says that gospel singers don’t love each other but ask him where he sleeps when he comes to Eldoret. I am the one who has been housing him here.”

PAUSE!

“I think Ringtone was too engulfed in politics when he made the statement and he should think again. He seems to have forgotten the hand that feeds him.”

Ole Willie finished by telling Ringtone to rethink his Christian life!

KenRazy Explains How His Girlfriend Stopped Him From Participating in ODM’s Mass Action

The Wasanii Wananchi appeared on Radio Jambo this morning to create awareness about their campaign. The group of artistes will go round the country and interacting with citizens on a personal level and engage them in peace-builidng activities.

As they plan to go to Jerusalem to interact and play football with their fans like they did in Mathare, they shared their own post-election violence stories like Eko Dydda and Octopizzo did before. This time it was KenRazy, who told his story to illustrate the importance of women in stunting violence.

“Hiyo time ya post-election, dame yangu alikuwa Kibera. Kuna project alikuwa anafanya, alikuwa anakaa na watoi fulani anawasaidia. Mi vile nilisikia watu wa ODM wanadai watu watokee wafanye rally fulani nikamwambia nataka kuenda. Alijam sana. Juu ye ndio alikuwa huko ndani anaaona vile vitu zinarushwa, ana-imagine tu. Na saa hiyo mi nilikuwa tu nataka kucheki niaje. After hapo mi hata sikutoka.

(During the post-election period, my girlfriend was in Kibera. She was involved in a project where they’d help kids in need. When I heard ODM was calling for a rally, I told her I would attend. She got really mad. She had seen what was happening and could only imagine what might happen. I just wanted to go see what’s up. After that, I didn’t even leave.”

Chantelle’s New Man Decides To Toklezea And It’s…

Pulse Magazine’s editor landed this exclusive and dropped it like a gem on us today when he revealed Chantelle’s new beau. Rumours had abounded for a while now with people trying to piece together just who Chantelle was now dating and then she finally revealed her new man; J. Blessing.

Actually, that paragraph should read differently and it would were it not for the fact that according to the Pulse, the lad was being evasive when they tried to get concrete answers from him. The two have finally stepped out of the dark, dreary closet of secrecy and have now announced to the world that they are dating.

They announcement came at a surprise birthday party for the lass thrown by J. Blessing which saw the lass really open up about the pair. J. Blessing is the force behind Prezzo video ft Cannibal; “My City My Town” which is enjoying massive airplay country wide.

Chantelle was in a long term relationship with her ex but things turned sour when she found out that the lad was cheating and she then exited the apartment they’d shared. Yup, she was cohabiting with the lad as man and wife and had even gone as far as introducing the lad to her family and vice versa, even spending the holidays with the lad’s family. J. Blessing on his part was engaged to be married but things fell through.

I wish the couple the fabled “happily ever after”!

Prezzo goes all romantic on his lover (letter)

Speculations of whether Prezzo is marrying Nigeria’s Goldie this coming week have taken over Africa and with the random tweets and status updates from the two lately have contributed a lot to the ‘rumours’.

It almost seems like these two love birds are playing around with the public’s thirst of knowing what they are all about. Though it’s non of our business, we still dig in anyway.

Recently, Prezzo posted a romantic love letter on his facebook wall and we can’t help but wonder if it was meant for the one and only Naija Girl, Goldie. Check it out.

“Babe, this has taken me a long time to say right, but am gonna say it, because I believe I have only this one chance: I know for this year’s Valentine you don’t want then iPads, nor expensive dinners at the Red Lobster -the one with the cheddar biskits, nor do you want Russian fur jackets and 24-carat teardrop hanging on your earlobes. I know a giant bouquet of red roses would not cut it, neither a chopper ride over Musi-o-tunya.

That is why babie, this time I wish myself and every man should do it the manly way, the right way, and instead of buying you presents, take you home to mamma as a present and ensure your constant presence.
Will you please marry me this Valentine and be my babies mamma, eternally?”

Leading Hang Out Joint in Naxvegas Folds Up

If you’ve travelled down to Naxvegas for pleasure you surely must have been, at least once, a patron at the Guava Lounge or just heard about it. Well, the famous hang out joint is no more.

After being in business for close to four years, the swanky Guava that attracted the cream of the crop in Nakuru has closed its doors. In a message to the public, the club’s management officially announced that the lounge has shut down.

Guava played host to most rugby after-party events and its devotees will greatly miss it. It may be argued that Guava Lounge faced very stiff competition from new comers; Rafikiz Bar & Lounge and Samba.

8th February 2013: Ten things you should know this morning

Ghetto Radio Endorses Jubilee

While most media houses advertise for political campaigns with 30-second spots, banner advertisements and such, they tend to avoid giving the candidates mentions. However, Ghetto Radio are not of this opinion. Their hosts have recently been aggressively mentioning the Jubilee coalition during the shows in a promotional way. Mbusii, Kijana Pyenga Aliye Na Mapoz, can nowadays be heared talking about “Ku-make maisha yako ikuwe poa na Jubilee.” I’m finding all this a bit ironic, since Maji Maji, the owner of Ghetto Radio, recently accused Jubilee of stealing his ‘Unbwogable’ song for their campaigns.

Ghetto Radio are not the only media house who have lent their support to a political party. Royal Media have blatantly declared their support for CORD/ODM, with their Managing Director S.K Macharia, even being on the CORD Committee.

What do you guys think of this behaviour? Should media personalities and media houses refrain from using their influence to steer electoral process, or should they be allowed to endorse whoever they want? Leave your interesting or creative responses in the comment section below:

4 Kenyan Celebrities Who Married In Secret

With news of an alleged marriage between Prezzo and Goldie coming to us from the Big Brother Africa website, and not being confirmed, let’s take a look at other celebrity couples who have opted out of the flashy wedding culture, and opted for more private ceremonies:

 1. Nazizi

Nazizi got married to Vini Hamsa Leopold in 2008 at a simple and private wedding. When later asked about this decision, she said, “My husband and I both value privacy. I’ve always wanted people to know me for my music and not my personal life. Vini is supportive of my career, but he does not like to be at the forefront and I respect that. On our wedding day, I wore a long shirt because they don’t allow women to wear trousers in the mosque, while Vini was in jeans and a shirt.”

2. Talia Oyando

Talia the night nurse did a super simple ceremony in 2010, where her and her hubby Ezekiel Onyango just got hitched at the AG’s chambers. As you may be thinking, no media was invited to the event. She got pregnant soon after.

3. Wyre

Wyre wedding in 2008 was well-known, but it was secret because there was no press allowed. Pulse’s paparazzi tried to poke their nosey noses into the ceremony, but they were kicked out by the seams of their trousers! Later on, Wyre gave out a couple of pics that the official photographer had taken at the event:

4. DJ Stylez

We happen to know that DJ Stylez is planning on marrying secretly later this year to his girlfriend Wambui Wanyoike. Oops…

Gospel Singer Jemmimah Thiong’o Meets a Great Witch Doctor

After bringing you a hot new single, Penya, barely three months ago, I can confidently assert that the first lady of Kenyan gospel music is back in the game. Jemmimah Thiong’o has released yet another stunning video that will sure bless many.

Christened “Mganga” the song speaks about the great works that Jesus Christ did when He was on earth; from healing the sick, bringing back the dead to life and even setting free captives. She allegorically refers to Jesus as a great “mganga” (witch doctor) who unlike the earthly witch doctors who purport to use funny paraphernalia to heal, His (Jesus’) name only does marvels.

Guided by arguably the best director in the industry, J Blessing, this video is just phenomenal.Check out;

Could this be Kenya’s youngest potential hit maker? Dude can really sing

He goes by the name of Shembwana Masauti. I have no idea if the second name is actually his real name, and if it is, then I have to say that his parents are really accurate.

This guy has that voice that can only be put in a romantic song and that is exactly what he sings about.

This guy could just be Kenya’s Aslay. Well, not that young but you get my point. It is guys like these that suddenly show up in the music industry and make you wonder what the hell they were waiting for all that time.

So far, Shembwana Masuti has about three songs, the first one and my personal favorite being ‘Uko Mbali‘.

Man, this is good! Have a listen below.

This rib cracking advertisement will definitely get you to vote if you have intentions not to

As the general elections date gets closer, actually just a month away, awareness on the importance of voting is being created and made available to the citizens.

There is no point in complaining about the ‘bad’politicians after elections if you did not participate in the voting in the first place. That is the message that this new advertisement is trying to drive in, in a comical way.

It is through this advert that they introduce the educational and political informative initiative known as the Swing Vote. It is simply a porthole that enables you to know more about political issues and get the profiles on the presidential candidates and therefore guide you in your voting. Check out more information about it here.

Meanwhile, take a look at the hilarious advert below.

King’ang’i makes witticisms out of happenings that make news from around the world. Rummaging through a cache of the ‘kasheshes’, I found these five to be all time favourite. Take a look;

This is officially the hottest party of the month. Party in foam and glow in the dark

This definitely is the hottest club party that I’ve heard of so far. It could also be the biggest and again, the hottest foam and glow party that Nairobi has seen yet.

With two separate dance floors, the ‘Foam and Glow party’ will be rocking on the 16th of February at The Mall Rooftop. Basically, this party will give you the opportunity to party wet (in foam) through out the night, while at the same time glow in the dark. Come on, where else do you get to do this in a club?

With DJ Kym serving you the best of hip hop, dance and house music all through the night, and two dance floors to get busy on, this will be the most epic party of the month.

You are however advised to come dressed in light clothing for obvious reasons. Ladies, bikinis are highly recommended.

Party starts at 7PM and goes on through the dark.

Entry goes for Sh. 1000 at the gate and SH. 800 in advance (so you know this ain’t no ratchet party).

I wouldn’t miss this for the world.

LIFE CHANGING: Wife calls cheating husband’s girlfriend to notify her that they are all +HIV

The ‘C’ word. Mbusii and many more presenters keep reminding us of this important word but do we listen? No! So sad. This is not hilarious at all. Well, if your partner has ever cheated on you before, then this will be rib cracking.

Familiar with the radio show ‘Busted‘ that airs on Classic FM by Ciku Muiruri? Well, she usually uncovers a lot that’s going on in the society. Some shocking truths and some really funny realisations. ‘Busted’ gets them all. From cheating spouses to horrific witchcraft acts.

In this episode of busted, a married woman calls her cheating husband’s girlfriend and converses with her calmly. At first, she asks her if she has been sleeping with her husband, to which the lady answers “no”. She even adds that she would never do such a thing.

The wife then decided to get real with the girl and lets her in on the terrifying secret. She calmly tells her that her husband is +HIV and that he just recently infected her.

Now, she asks the lady if she has been using protection with the married man, to which the lady answers, “NO”. Okay, you gotta admit that was kinda funny. This is the part the lady starts freaking out. I’ll let you listen to the rest of it.

Get it below.

Another “Bonoko” in the Making

By now you must be aware of the phrase ”I witnessed, ni kama ndrama(drama), ni kama Vindio(video)” that has become the talk of town since late last year after Citizen TV greatly sensationalized it on its “Truth Meter” and “Heka Heka” political satire shows.

But if you’ve been living under the rock, the statement was made by some guy in Kasarani called Jose, an eye-witness in a robbery attempt, to a journalist. Well, recently, Jose was hosted by iNooro FM where he recounted the incident and talked about his life. Jose’s few seconds on TV and consequently on radio could as well mark the beginning of his journey into stardom.

You remember Ghetto Radio’s Bonoko AKA Bonkodeh was discovered the same way and has risen to become one of the popular personalities in Kenya. Whether Jose will go the Bonoko way is a wait-and-see situation.

Something for All Guys Who Have “Mpango wa Kando” (Video)

Often n*ggas be like, “My HIV test was negative…” when trying to avoid condoms. However, there are reports that the rate of HIV infections is on the rise again and as such, the Ministry of Health & Sanitation, USAID and UKaid have launched a campaign to sensitize guys to use condoms.

Under the banner, “Don’t Be a Fool. Wrap your tool,” the campaign urges people to protect their loved ones by putting condoms in their plan. According to the crusaders, HIV is not the only infection that people should be worried about because there are several STIs that may not have any visible symptoms even if one is infected.

This Here is The Real Definition of Primitive Energy

You remember in June last year when Korean Airlines was compelled to make an apology for using the words “Fly to Korean Air and enjoy the grand African Savanna, the safari tour, and the indigenous people full of primitive energy,” in an advert for the soon to be opened Seoul-Nairobi route.

Well, few months later a clique of quirky guys decided to sensationalize the whole thing and well, they effectively portrayed “primitive energy”.  Armed with a camera the three guys (actually four, plus the guy behind the camera), took to the green tea plantations of Gatanga and reenacted the famous “Niko Na Safaricom” TV commercial, shot and uploaded the video on YouTube and named it, “NIKO NA SAFARICOM-“PRIMITIVE ENERGY” ADVERT-SPONSORED BY KOREA AIRLINES”.

Watch the crazy though amateurish video below and share your thoughts about it.

The National Youth Bunge Association (NYBA), a leading youth network of County forums with the village youth bunges at the National level, will hold the biggest peace festival of this year dubbed the NYBA Tuko Rada I Choose Peace Festival.

The NYBA Tuko Rada I Choose Peace Festival will be an extravaganza utilizing entertainment as a driving vehicle to bring together, engage and inform Kenyan youth countrywide of the fact that they are the positive agents of change in Kenya and have the power to greatly influence how the forthcoming general elections should be managed in a peacefully manner. expected to grace this event which will be held at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) Courtyard on the 16th February from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. A total of over 10,000 Kenyan youth are expected to attend this event in an effort to pledge peace countrywide.

This event will be coordinated in close partnership with the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) who in January this year signed a binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the NYBA which will ensure the
fostering of peace amongst the youth in the country. This was followed by a peace pledge signing with signatories inputting their names on a canvass and pledging to peacefully participate prior, during and after the March 4th general
elections countrywide in a bid to restore Kenya’s pride and image which was tarnished in 2007 as a result of the PEV skirmishes.

The NYBA has also lined up forums ranging from site visits to seminars with key business and leadership, which will culminate to the respective youth representatives getting exposure to top business and government leadership
personalities at a breakfast event on the 14th February at a Nairobi hotel. This will be an opportunity for the NYBA’s leadership to convey messages from the youths, as well as have their questions answered by the industry and government leaders in an interactive format.

The NYBA Tuko Rada I Choose Peace Festival will be an all youth led affair with a primary audience of youth countrywide and national NYBA members from across the region. Musical acts local celebrities will host interactive sessions on a variety of topics and tools reinforcing peace messaging and the leadership role youth must play in maintaining it, including:

– How to respond to and report hate speech, violence including Early Warning/Early Response systems training
– How to refuse bribes associated with organized political activities;
– Devolution and how it will affect youth;
– Pledging to be the guardian of peace in their communities.

Octopizzo brutally attacked by three rappers

Karma is indeed a b****. When Octopizzo was coming up, I think we all remember how hard he tore into the then already established Abbas Kubaff Kubaff. Right now, the same thing is happening, only that it is the other way around.

Three traction-less rappers are tearing into Octopizzo for obvious reasons (gaining fame through him). However, if their lyrics are anything to go by, these guys sound like they really have a bone to pick with Octo. They mostly talk about his ‘involvement’ with the Illuminati and the fact that he dissed Abbas way back.

One thing is for sure, these guys are not about to tone it down. Atleast not until they get their four minutes on radio. We only know the name of one of the rappers, Williez Da Viruz, in this ‘Octopizzo Diss’ track.

Three against one. Get a load of the odds.

Check out the track below and tell us what you think about it.

Kenya’s Queen of Facebook to Star in Adult-Rated Play

Shee Waruinge is a controversial figure in the local Internet sphere. Take her recent tweef with Huddah for example. Her Web fame led to her crowning as Queen of Facebook a couple of years ago.

Her Majesty has now taken a stab at acting. She already made her debut on Citizen TV’s Tahidi High, the show that has won her sister, Angel Waruinge, a number of awards as Miss Morgan, the title school’s deputy principal.

And now she is going to star in an adults only play produced by her sister’s new outfit, Grass Hut Productions. She has not only starred in the play but also helped with the marketing, creating a Facebook page and Google+ for the production’s first show. Check out the details here.

Kaka Sungura and his violinist take over Carnivore tonight. Oh, this is gonna be good

Juliani, Eko Dydda, Anto Neosoul, Makadem, these are some of the few names I can come up with on the spot when I think about Kenya’s best performance. Lately though, after witnessing some of his best concerts, Rabbit seems to be sneaking up on me as I peep into this category of artistes.

Kaka Sungura is indeed a story teller and when he tells it, you can’t afford not to pay attention. He is that captivating and illustrative. You just gotta love his works. He is one of the few Kenyan rappers who think outside the box. Makes a lot of sense why Juliani is his mentor.

If you attended last year’s Kisima Awards at the KICC, then I’m sure you can relate when I say Rabbit’s stage performance is spectacular and just incase you haven’t had the opportunity to experience this magnificence, then tonight is your chance.

Rabbit will be holding it down tonight (7th February) at the Miss University Kenya, which will be held at the Carnivore Grounds. Do you know what’s even more exciting about this concert? It’s the fact that he will be performing alongside his violinist (from Swahili Shakespeare).

Dear Rabbit fan, this is a concert worth hating yourself if you miss. Show starts at 6PM till 10PM.

Ng’ang’alito goes back home to thank mama (video)

Ng’ang’alito is a man who needs not an introduction. He was quite a character back at the TPF house during his time of participation. He might just have been the funniest and most interesting contestant that TPF has ever had.

With that said, Ng’ang’alito is back with the hit making drive. Just recently he had released his latest track titled ‘mama’ which was basically a dedication to his mother, well, all mothers.

Now, the video is out. Illustrating the unconditional love and care that a mother has and shows to her child, the video takes us through a life of a man (Ng’ang’alito) from the moment his was a little kid up till now, a musician.

Wherever Ng’ang’a’s mother is right now, she is one proud woman.

This song makes you think of home and ofcourse, dear mother. Take a look.
