Since the Friday incident (dubbed “gubernatorial slap” in blogosphere) in which Nairobi Governor, Dr. Evans Kidero allegedly smacked Nairobi Women Representative Rachel Shebesh there have been mixed reactions. However, all this time Shebesh’s husband had been quiet. But now he’s broken his silence.
In an exclusive interview NTV on Sunday, Frank Shebesh sharply condemned the incident. He however indicated that he’s ready to forgive Dr. Kidero on condition that he apologizes. He revealed that he had received calls from the Governor’s allies apologising on the governor’s behalf.
Mr. Shebesh, who declined to name the people who had contacted him, said he would forgive Dr. Kidero if he admits that what he did to his wife was wrong.
“If he is man enough to apologise to me personally, then I will accept the apology,” he told the NTV at his Nairobi home.
