Come December 13th your analogue TV won’t air your favourite TV show because the government shall switch off the analogue television broadcasting signal in Nairobi and its environs. However, MultiChoice Africa has stepped in to save the day.
MultiChoice Africa has offered to supply 1.5 million set top boxes at a subsidized fee to Kenyans to facilitate a smooth migration from analogue to digital TV broadcasting.
The country requires 4 million set top boxes to move from analogue broadcasting to digital.
Briefing President Uhuru Kenyatta at State House, Mombasa yesterday, MultiChoice Africa Chief Executive Officer Nico Meyer said the company has also opened a modern Super-Sport studio in the country.

It now emerges that socialite and “entrepreneur” Huddah Monroe was also abandoned by her dad before she was born. This, she revealed after Dillish Matthews denied a Kenyan ex-soldier, Abdi Galgalo Guyo, who is claiming to have sired her.
Huddah tweeted shortly after Dillish vehemently denied the man insisting that her real dad is Somali while the man is a Borana.
“Somali Dads have a behaviour of disappearing. I’ve never seen my Biological dad. Head he died. RIP! If he is alive, Dillish I’m your sister”.
For those who are not aware, Huddah has Somali ancestry; she’s half Kenyan (Kikuyu) and half Somali and her real name states that; Alhuda Njoroge.

Nominations for the 10th Annual Channel O Africa Music Awards were announced last evening, revealing an open field in the race to claim Africa’s most prestigious music awards.
Nominees in the 14 categories included multiple double nods for over 10 artists, from East, West and Southern Africa, reflecting the outpouring of world-class music videos on the continent over the past year.
Kenyan artistes haven’t been left out either. The artistes managed to get half of the nominations in terms of category indications that their music is appreciated across the continent. The admired awards has introduced another competitive and prestigious category Most Gifted Video of the Year and Kenya was priviledged to secure nominations.

The Big Five Breweries brings you the Oktoberfest Pre-party.
The event takes place on September 3rd at the Brew Bistro & Lounge from 7.30 p.m. Performing at the pre-party will be Parking Lot Grass, who were the winners of the Battle of the Bands at Oktoberfest last year.
Oktoberfest is a three-day festival that takes place between 20th and 22nd September. This year’s Battle of the Bands will take place on the first day, with DJ Republic on the decks soon after.

Monday was a dark day for Kenya’s youngest radio presenter. Rynoh a.k.a. Reagan Kukuni was robbed at gun-point as he walked into an ATM machine to make a withdrawal.
Rynoh who hosts Vuka Na Style, a late night show, on Q FM, was in Mombasa for a show when the mishap befell him. On the fateful day, the 22 year old left his hotel room and headed to an ATM machine located at Nakumatt, Nyali. Immediately he stepped into the ATM booth, a gun-wielding orb burst into the booth.
Pointing the gun at him, he ordered him to withdraw all the money in the account and hand it to him. Lucky for Rynoh, August salary had not checked in so he had around KSh28,000. Fearing for his life, he instantaneously did as he was commanded.
The robber then barked him out of the booth ordering him to walk straight to a car (a Toyota Allex) parked just outside the ATM booth and get in. In the car, he met the felon’s accomplices who sandwiched him in the back seat and started probing him.
At this point, Rynoh pleaded with them to let him since he had a show to attend to. Unexpectedly, they let him off the hook and drove away on the spur of the moment.

DJ Spin Easy, Snoop Dogg’s official DJ is set to come to Nairobi for a concert on 21st September, he confirmed on his Facebook page.
The DJ who has also worked with rapper Ice Cube is currently on an African tour and performed in Kampala this past weekend at the Glow Party. He had previously performed in Cape Town, South Africa before that.

Last night, ‘your authoritative channel’, KTN rebranded yet again unveiling its new expression. This time the TV station not only changed its face but also revealed new faces that you shall be meeting from now.
KTN has a new studio which is noticeably smaller but classier as opposed to the previous one. The Mombasa Road-based TV station also unveiled new faces who included former Easy FM new anchor Wilson Mburu and former K24 news anchor, Ann Ngugi (as you had previously been told).
Mburu, who’s full of beans, joined the Primetime and effectively anchored the maiden 9PM English news bulletin last night alongside Yvonne Okwara while Ann Ngugi joins the Swahili news team.
The rebranding also effected a reshuffle as follows;
Sophia Wanuna replaces Yvonne Okwara on KTN Sunrise, while Okwara now joins the KTN Prime team. The likes of Bonny Tunya, Joy Doreen Biira and Nicholas Mudimba have maintained their positions.
Former NTV anchor, Ben Kitili, was also undraped as the Political Reporter.

This and every Tuesday, iClub hosts The Weavers Band as they play the best of live, acoustic original and cover music from your favourite local and international artistes.
The Weavers Band specializes in pop, RnB, rock and roll, jazz and African music. It is made up of Bella (lead vocals), Brian (keyboards and vocals), Christian (bassist), Davy (drummer), Mashaka (solo guitarist), Malesha (lead vocals) and Jemo (saxophone and vocals).

Last night the internets were rent with allegations and counter allegations. At the root of which was a lass, Wanjirû wá Dõrõ @ShiruMumbi claiming that former Hits FM radio personality @KoomeGitobu had acquired some monies from her through fraudulent practices.
According to the lass, the lad had asked her for 56,000/- Kenya shillings but because she couldn’t give him that kind of monies, she helped him out with the little that she could. On his part, the lad accepts that this is indeed an accurate depiction of the situation as he was in a tight spot having quit employment to pursue his passion.
That is where the similarities in this sordid tale end. From here on out, the lass claims that… Wait, let me let her tell her own side of the story:
