Kibera’s finest has performed all across the country and in Europe aswell. So he is no new comer to live performances on a large scale. But he was recently at a performance in the U.K, Manchester to be exact. And he admited that he was overwhelmed by the mammoth gathering. Over the weekend, Jaguar added another million to his bank account after a very successful performance in Burundi. The sprightly artist was invited by the largest beer manufacturing company in Burundi, Brarudi.

This, after Jaguar was voted the best among other top East African acts to perform at the Primusic concert where the winner was awarded 15million Burundian Franc – equivalent to KShs54,118.52 or $ 9,755.76.

Sources close to the artist intimate that the estimated value of his contract was worth $10,000 (approximately KSh.875,000).

Jaguar left Nairobi on Friday morning alongside his Producer, Philip Makanda of Main Switch Studios and his best friend Lugz. Also in his entourage was DJ Rahim from Uganda. On arrival in Bujumbura, there was a huge media presence that trailed Jaguar from the airport to a Press conference and later to the hotel.

While in Burundi they stayed at the prestigious Roca Golf Hotel.

Gospel songstress and female artiste of the year, Gloria Muliro’s kindheartedness came into play over the weekend when she hosted a thanks giving dinner at Petma Restaurants for all persons who have been supporting her in her music career.

Late last week as Deputy President William Ruto and a group of MPs who had accompanied him made their way back home after his trial was adjourned, his co-accused and former radio journalist, Joshua Sang could not board the plane back to Kenya.

Apparently, the petite radio journalist lacked cash to pay for his flight back into the country. And that’s not all; Sang’s visa confines him at The Hague. He cannot move to other cities as he’s required to stay within the vicinity of the International Criminal Court.

Speaking to KTN from his flat in an isolated part of Hague, Sang said,

“Ingekua ata imeharishwa na hio Visa inaniruhusu kutembea Holland yote ingekua ni vyema kwa mimi ni mtu napenda ng’ombe sana. Ningekua nimeenda kuona vile wanafuga ng’ombe wao.”

He says he greatly misses his children as he’s used to being around them.

For now, Sang has to contend with keeping in touch with family and friends through the social networking site, Facebook, the closest he will get to them for now.

To beat the boredom, Sang says he will be going through witness statements as he awaits the recommencement of the trial this week.

When word spread that Camp Mulla were breaking up, their fans panicked and understandably so. they were the reason the rest of Africa had taken notice of 25Flow (Kenyan music). They then clarified that the group as they we knew it was no more but Camp Mulla was still alive and well. It would simply continue as an entity with only two members; Shappaman and K’Cous.

When word went round that Emmy Kosgei would be marrying Apostle Anselm Madubuko of Nigeria, a man nearly 30 years her senior, Nigerians were livid. But that didn’t compare to Kenyan’s reaction with KoT (Kenyans on Twitter) resoundingly attacking her.

Young Wallace is a prolific music video director who has worked and rubbed shoulders with the biggest current names in Kenya’s blossoming entertainment scene and often with good results but now his otherwise unblemished name is being brought up in a theft/conmanship allegation.

And the allegations come from an upcoming artists who contends that he and Young Wallace came to an agreement verbally -a gentleman’s pact and he honoured his end of the agreement by sending some of the agreed upon cash via Mpesa only for Young Wallace to go silent. Vera Sidika is an attractive woman. And many an artist would want to her to appear in their music video. Actually, many would like to see her shake her yansh (her posterior) but how much would you have to part with to have her appear in your video? well, Uncle Chim Tuna has the answer:

Davido and Ghanaian star D-Black were recently shooting a video and they reached out to the endowed lass for her to appear in the video and they had to part with quite a tidy sum… And that was exclusive of her accommodation and it wasn’t in any bed and breakfast either.

They had to put her up in a 5 star hotel called Alisa Hotel and they had to pay 4,000 and not shillings or Naira, she was paid 4,000 dollars!
That translates to 344,300 Kenyan shillings! And you thought all the lasses fighting for a piece of the video vixen action were wasting their time!

P-unit had gone to the land of the brave and the free on a tour and it was quite the successful endeavour. They are however back in Kenya and the first stop they made was to Changes last night. like I always say, Changes is just the club to be at!

Suzanna Owiyo is arguably  one of the most accomplished veteran singers in Kenya.

She made her debut into the spotlight with a performance in the centennial celebrations of the city of Kisumu.From that moment things kind of fell into place  and she proceeded to work on an album with  Kenyan music producer Tedd Josiah.

The album was received well on radio  and this got her a nomination in the Kora Awards 2002 in the “Most Promising Female Artist category”. The same album also won her a Kisima award for the  Most Promising Female Artist of 2003. Numerous concerts later the Kenyan star got to perform alongside musical legends Cyndi Lauper, Andrea Bocelli, Chris Botti, Patti Labelle and Baba Maal.
