On 29th April 2014, Eric Omondi’s page was hacked but he managed to get back his  from the hackers,but not without parting with a hefty sum of money.

Last month on the 21st, a vigilante group calling itself ‘Anonymous Kenya’ hacked into the Twitter accounts of Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) and that of the military spokesman, Major Emmanuel Chirchir. They then went ahead and made a fool of Kenya Defence Forces posting tweets which were as a matter of fact pretty entertaining.

10 days later, Sauti Sol’s page was taken under siege by some wayward characters Ogutu Joshua and Josure Mbaga who were later valiantly exposed by the boy band.

Over the weekend, Kenzo from the ‘Mama’ fame found out that his account was hacked and as it turns out it’s by The infamous Kenyan Daily Post. Majani had earlier communicated with Kenzo and his page was still intact but yesterday when he checked his inbox, the messages had vamoosed and the name Kenzo was replaced by ‘The Daily Post’.

The Kenyan entertainment industry has lost another artiste barely a short while after the demise of veteran actor Derrick Amuga.

Timothy Mudogo a producer at Waude music and a close contact to Sleek Mcee passed away last Saturday after a short illness. Details of Timothy’s sudden death have not been disclosed yet and the information about his death was learnt about when Sleek Mcee post on their Facebook page.

Before his death, the deceased happen to pay Ghafla a visit and disclosed about his career. The entire Ghafla team sends our condolences to Timothy’s family and wishes them well during this trying moment. Here is Timothy’s last interview with Ghafla:

It seems socialites have become a force to reckon with and as if musician have so far known this better; they are scrambling to get these socialites to shake it down in their music video.

First it was P Units who got Vera Sidika on their you Guy video then Blaqy got Risper Faith to feature in his Money Maker video and now Kayvo Kforce and Davinci have feature Maura Malanga in their latest music video Walai. I mean if this is the new tactic that our esteem musicians are using to lure fans to get a glimpse to their videos then surely it is working.

I am not encouraging anyone but all in all it seems this trend is not fading away any time soon and if it sure works for these musicians then let the fans be the judge. Anyway check out the video here:

In their bid to become a nationwide radio station, the radio station has decided to recruit a new general manager to lead the radio for the planned countrywide reach.

Majimaji better knowned for the unbwogable hit song had been the general manager for the radio station since its launch to the airwaves and it seems the latter will not be maintaining his post as he was not among the shortlisted applicants. Among the new applicants include Rashid Ronald, Steve Agembo and Ben Omullo.

Ghetto radio is expected to announce their new general manager probably by the end of this week; it will be interesting to see who survive the cut to take the radio station to its new airwaves across the country.

Blaqy’s Money Maker might have been banned on the mainstream media but it is receiving a rather warm reception amongst its YouTube fans with a close to 60,000 views within its third week of placement.

Mainstream media may not tolerate any form of video that it is likely to have inclination towards nudity but guess where these video thrive; the YouTube. Actually I have come to think of it; when any of the controversial video is banned on the mainstream media, actually it gets whooping views on YouTube as it suddenly goes viral. First there was P unit’s You Guy that got banned and it got 225,921 views over a span of a year on YouTube, then Sautisol’s Nishike video followed suit with 726, 144 views in just three months and now Blaqi’s.

Blaqy’s Money maker video attracted a lot of thumps down especially from the mainstream media and was henceforth blacklisted among not to be played video. I sort to inquire why this particular video was being banned from the mainstream media and here is the response: Dj Joe Mfalme explained he could not play Blaqy’s video because it had a lot of nudity and playing it would get him to trouble with the media house management while as for Kiss TV’s DJ Hypnotiq; Blaqy’s video did not meet the quality and the concept and content did not make the cut point (Being moral accepted standard)

Bodacious socialite Risper Faith was recently accused for the second time of stealing a phone from her friend. The friend Lisa Downing claimed that she left they phone in Risper’s car only for Risper to steal the phone.

Blaqy whom you know from the infamous/famous ‘Shake Your Money Maker’ song has come out to defend Risper against this accusations, this is what he wrote to us :

Dear Ghafla Kenya

I am writing this letter, in defense of Faith Risper, who has been accused of stealing  a phone by friend turned foe Lisa Downing. It was a shocker to me for one to have such an audacity to come up and claim that her phone was stolen yet as she said, she called to ask whether she had left it in Risper’s car. It only means that, she does even have a slight idea of where she would have left does she?
I smell ill intentions here, why would she run to the media and tarnish her friend’s name if she wasn’t looking for attention. I know Lisa is a video vixen, who by the way appeared in my video, Show Me (what your mama gave you) and maybe, just maybe is also looking for fame to be like Faith Risper who is currently enjoying herself for being at the top of her game.

Well, I am not defending her nor am I saying that she did not take the phone, but Lisa Downing, should bring forward sufficient evidence that incriminates Faith, and that which shows that, indeed she stole the phone.

I cannot sit and watch someone troll another on baseless accusations, it’s just not fair.
I have worked with Risper and for certain I can say that she would never take or steal from anyone and for Lisa to come and say that she did, it’s not only unbelievable but also ridiculous.
We shot Shake Your Money Maker just recently and the video is currently doing very well. Her behavior was on point and is always and therefore I feel that Lisa is out on to tarnish her and as a result she expects herself to become the new sheriff in the entertainment circles. I believe she did not steal the phone and Lisa should drop this case immediately if there is no tangible evidence by end of today.

The one and only Prezzo seem not to be digesting well the information circulating round the social media about him having a thing for socialite Vanessa Chettle but more pieces of the puzzle continue flowing even adding more speculation to the whole saga.

I want to clearly reiterate that this is not a personal vendetta against the king of bling for hitting out at Ghafla but a quest to pass infotainment to enthusiastic Ghafla fans. Well a few weeks ago we highlighted Prezzo’s escapade with Vanessa during the Dala 7s down there in the Lakeside city. Well the rapper discredited the the claim as mare propaganda and even got angry with the bloggers.

It is still not a mystery why the rapper got so fumed and decided to hit back so hard yet the lady on the other side is just keeping her cool. Anyway this week though, Ghafla team received more photos of Prezzo and Venessa from anonymous contact who thought he/she needed to shine the light more on the pair.

Since Elani came to the music scene with their glorious voices and pretty faces ,they have threatened to dethrone the kings of Band,Sauti Sol.

I have often wondered how Christians go about wooing their women folk. Probably slowly and with words -well, that’s what Baba Ghafla would say. Bahati is a man with a talent. The young lad who has been riding high with his musical offerings to his God has just released a hot new track that serves as a testament to his versatility. The gospel artist who hails from a very underpriviledged background but has managed to climb out of biting poverty due to his talent has released a new track called Visa which breaks from the mold of what we are now accustomed to from him.

The track is heavily acoustic but this if anything just serves to enhance his vocal display as he croons about some of the hardships he has witnessed either in his personal life or the country he loves has gone through.

The track’s video is nothing short of awesome as it tells the story perfectly to fit with his song and was done by Young Wallace of Convex Media.

You messed with the wrong artiste that was the message one Deejay El Dinero was passing across when he took on to twitter to launch his attack on music producer Richie Atl. (CEO of ATL entertainment)

Deejay El Dinero is accusing ATL Entertainment for not being up to their task of being a leading entertainment hub and also for conning artistes. The Dj, radio host, actor, singer and an upcoming Producer did feel he could not tolerate the misdeed that was happing at ATL and henceforth decided to expose the rot. Last week, there were allegations made by an upcoming artist who claimed that Sauti Sol, one of Kenya’s most beloved groups had stolen his song. And the lad who goes by the stage name Parroty went further than just to allege, he went on to furnish us with his evidence of the same claim.

The artist whose government names are Simon Mandela Murunda but who goes by the stage name Parroty claims that on an off chance, he got to meet Polycarp of Sauti Sol after giving him a ride in his car and from there they begun talking about music and the entertainment industry by and large.
He then allegedly played for Polycarp the track but to his shock and dismay, he heard similar instrumentals on their new release called “Sura Yako“.

I finally got a hold of Sauti Sol’s P.R manager and may I say that she is quite fetching! She has this ethnic beauty going on that oh my word, I find quite irresistible but I digress. Anyway, Anyiko (that’s her name) told me that they (Sauti Sol) genuinely do not kjnow who Parroty is.

I had to worm out alot more than that from her so she said that while she was indeed aware of Parroty but that’s because she has been talking to him about the possiblity of interviewing him on her show Grapevine. Other than that, Sauti Sol has never had contact with the lad.
