The past Saturday was full of fan at the Kids festival down in Nakuru; kids turned out in their thousands to grace the colorful event which was hosted by the country’s finest comedians.

Nakuru is known as the ultimate party destination for all sort of fun that one wants to throw; forget the Sevens rugby series, the mammoth that turned out for the kids festival at the Nakuru show grounds was itself a record setter. Fun was at its peak and Churchill live crew also made sure the crowd had something to laugh about as they enjoyed the prestigious occasion.

The movie is ‘SEPTEMBER’ a story set just before a similar staging as that of the Westgate Mall

attack in Kenya. It endeavors to tell the story of the castigators in an indifferent perspective.

Focusing on the question, do they have a legitimate reason for their doing?

It revolves around the lives of ordinary people who are affected by their own need to survive in

our present over capitalistic society. Trailing the life of George and Juma; George being a happy

family man with a past that seems to haunt him and Juma, a father to be, who’s fighting to keep

his family afloat..

This thrilling film is by the producers of ‘Deceit’ a short film that has been nominated for several

awards including the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards 2014 (AMVCA) and the 35th

Durban International Film Festival is bound to keep the audience glued on their seats.

The movie is produced by Evolve Entertainment & Chromatic Pictures Africa. A team of

young and passionate film makers (the entire crew’s age averages to 25 years old) aiming to

revolutionize the Kenyan film industry.

Mike Sonko’s daughters have hinted at a Reality Show. And I can’t wait. Whichever station will be airing it,I will be glued.

Last month,The affluent Mike Sonko daughters teased a photo on Social Media that seemed to announce their intention to run a Reality Show in Kenya. Something akin to ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’.

And to grip our valued attention, they posed in some scanty, barely-there tops and hot pants, lusciously sprawled across a custom-made Range Rover and other High-End cars. Vintage,Sonko.

Immediately, almost all bloggers and entertainment writers picked up the story and ran with it. Reporting it furiously and widely with absolute glee.

Saumu,the Oldest one, even landed herself a couple interview gigs voicing her opinion on a myriad of issues, including her no-holds-barred thoughts on Kenyan Socialites. As expected, she was critical of them and their ways. Something that Mike Sonko didn’t take lightly.

And immediately,Mike Sonko roundly berated her daughter for criticizing Socialites. And,repoterdly, took back the Mercedes Benz he had bought her. And ordered her to stay away from the media!

Whoa! Punishing someone for condemning Socialites??? As if there is something to be celebrated among these bunch of nudity-loving leeches!

Anyway,I have a feeling that, going by the latest developments, if they are to be believed, that is…Then the much-awaited Reality Show may never happen at all.

And that saddens me a big deal!

If there is something I would Kill to watch, It is the lives of the spoilt kids of the rich behind the cameras. I would give anything to watch Saumu Mbuvi and her sisters waking up on a cold, Wednesday and catch a quick fancy breakfast. I would die to watch the Sonko daughters hit TRM and grab a pizza. Followed by a retinue of cameras. I would trade anything to watch the scions of the Rich and Powerful hit a club in Westlands…and settle a 1,000 dollar bill.

THAT WOULD BE ENTERTAINMENT. Absolute Entertainment.

Reality Shows are HUGE! WORLD OVER. And in America,its simply insane. There is a Reality Show detailing the Lives of Everyone…From the Hollywood Exes to Washed-up Rappers to Wives of Hiphop Artists to RnB stars. Everyone has a Reality Show dedicated to them.

Every state has its own Reality Show. From New Jersy to Miami to Atlanta to Washington to Los Angeles.

From Real Housewives of L.A to Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian Take New York. Reality Shows have blown up the World.

People love watching famous and gorgeous people on TV. Running around,doing stuff,quarreling or squabbling.

People LOVE WATCHING CELEBRITIES living their day to day lives. And watching them make mistakes and get mad and swear to the cameras.

And in Africa,the Reality Show is catching up real fast. Nigeria is rolling hard with them Reality Shows including Nigerians Abroad and Real Housewives of Nigeria starring Nkem,Lola,Pam,Uche and Alicia.

South Africa has its share too. So does Tanzania,the most popular being the one featuring Diamond’s On and Off Girlfriend,Wema Sepetu.

World over,Reality Shows are beginning to replace scripted TV. And it should be the case here, too. ASAP!

And who BEST to ignite that Revolution than the Daughters of Nairobi’s Biggest Baller and Provocateur, Mike Sonko??? With a father so ruthlessly famous –whose antics have made their way into Kenya Archives-the Sonko daughters are the PERFECT RECIPE for a Hit Reality Show in Nairobi.

I want to watch all of them 3 girls getting up on a Friday morning and deciding to go for a swim in Kitisuru. I want to watch them argue over useless stuff. I want to see them throw a house party…See them get loud and rowdy. Yes,see them get berated by their famous Dad for erring or fondering the exams. I want to watch them. EVERYDAY.

And Not just the Sonko daughters…But every other Son and Daughter of Kenya’s Most Powerful families. Yes,am talking Ngina Kenyatta. Am talking William Kabogo’s Son. Am talking June Ruto. Am talking all these Princes and Princesses.

Nothing can be more entertaining than watching Ngina Kenyatta squabbling with Muhoho Kenyatta over how much thousands of dollars they need to spend on an upcoming party.

And nothing rocks more than watching Kabogo’s son making it rain at Skyluxx. Followed by cameras and a bevy of scantily-clad damsels.

Kenya is RIPE for Reality Shows.

Mnet officially launched their East African focused Tv brand (Maisha Magic) on the 1^st of September, 2014 at Safari Park Hotel. The launch was well organized to say the least, guys had dressed up and the food…don’t get me started on that.

I got to meet and see many celebs and actors that night, most that I only got to see behind the Tv while growing up. I saw Mama Kayai! Wah! I’d be lying when I say I wasn’t jazzed. Mama Kayai is an actress, dear ‘young’ readers.

During my carefree child hood days, Mama Kayai ‘ruled’ the entertainment industry together with Mzee Ojwang’. I used to watch this couple during ‘Vitimbi Show’ they were the typical African Alejandro and Camilla of them days. Remember the show? Good, now stop lying to people around you kuwa you are young.

This recognizable couple has been together for 29 years in Vitimbi, and if like I you thought they were done with acting, think again. Maisha Magic has made a home for this recognizable couple at Channel 161 on DSTV.

On the 6^th of September, just last week Saturday, ‘Vitimbi Comedy Show’ was aired, same concept still lies the difference is the modernized version of it and this time around, the Comedy Show is shot at the Mnet studios. You get to see other comedians to; Mogaka, Ngomongo, Nyasukuta among others.

All afro cinema lovers can finally smile as one of your favorite Nigerian actor will be part of a local soap drama. According to information posted on Triple P Media official Facebook page; Desmond is in town shooting a 300 episode soap drama at a set located in Muthaiga Nairobi. It is also alleged that the Nigerian star will be teaming up with some of the country’s finest actors including House of Lungula’s actor Gerald Langiri.

It will be interesting to see Desmond play on a Kenyan soap drama as the storyline too for the cast is said to be purely Kenyan. Well to all those who have a thing for Nigerian films; it is only a matter of time before you get to watch the said soap drama.

Over the weekend, One of Kenya’s leading broadcasters NTV made some editorial changes and unveiled some youthful presenters.

Their names are Yvonne Maingey, Trevor Ombija and Gladys Gachanja that will hopefully inject the much needed zing into NTV’s news anchoring.

Yvonne is a baby-faced presenter with an authoritative voice who honed her skills at KTN’s children’s show  ‘Club Kiboko’ .

Trevor was an experienced anchor at Nation F.M while Gladys who was once at Easy F.M brings in the calm and collected -mature vibe.

Typically Wafula is a name more often associated with male individual (s) from the western part of this country. Two years ago, Louis Otieno was a darling of the screens and he enjoyed an illustrious career on Television.

On 14^th February 2012, a day where love is celebrated, a life was lost that subsequently ruined Louis Otieno’s career in Media. Her name was Careen Chepchumba who was found strangled to death in her apartment.

Louis Otieno was linked to with the murder as one of the suspects and that is when his career started tumbling.

The blogs went wild with this story with even some announcing that Louis had become a fugitive of the law.

2 years later, Louis Otieno is a far cry from the confident man that graced our screens. Clearly haunted by the past and affected by the untimely demise of his girlfriend, Louis Otieno gives his side of the story which has been overlooked in the past.

After singing a song for Adelle Onyango and asking for a musical collaboration; Adelle and Willy Paul became fast friends and things were peachy then, however things seem to have turned sour.

Adelle says that Willy Paul could not bear her rejection so he called her a lesbian. A clearly livid Adelle took top social media and went HAM on the ‘Sitolia’ singer calling him a ‘basic mitch’ and urging him to take his publicity stunts elsewhere’.

in less that 15 minutes i arrive at Sabina joy,one conspicuous thing is the sign at the entrance, the old sign has been replaced as has the interior, i take the long stretch of winding stairs that is reeking of stale beer and rancid tobbaco, just before i get to the top i encounter two guards,a he and a she, God bless Sabina, at least they are not sexists!

Even after Joginder  Singh known simply as Quincy Timberlake rejected her on numerous occasions and even abandoned her, her love for Quincy is a true as it was the first day they met.

Speaking to NTV, the unbelievably articulate Mama Quincy maintained that her son was harmless despite treating her in an unkind way.
In her House in Manyatta estate in Kisumu, Rosemeg informed the public that she has not seen her son in five years .And was aware that Quincy had denied her on numerous occasions. She says that Quincy even went ahead and told many that his mom had died of HIV. Rosemeg however maintains that the truth cannot be erased and the truth is that Quincy is her son.

Her only wish is  a reunion with her son who is currently in police custody sfter being charged with the murder of his son  in Brisbane
