Most of us dream of getting educated, securing  an above 6-figure salary job, marrying a good-looking person, getting kids, growing  old and rich together  with the love of your life.

But as we all know, life is no fairytale and chances are that you will suffer more than you enjoy life because life just sometimes takes a big dump on you. You might not get educated and sometimes could end up stuck in a dead end job or suffer from separation from the love of your life.
Such is the case of Roncliffe Odit who is saving what some would refer to as an ugly separation. He was recently accused of ‘stealing’ from his wife and now there are allegations that he cheated.

According to neighbors, Roncliffe has been bringing several women into his marital home and spending with them there while the wife was on trips abroad.

One of the women is a fellow KBC news anchor with whom they were allegedly spotted in his Mercedes SLK 200 looking too close for comfort. It is said that the lass also goes to his marital home with Roni, as he is popularly known.

Roncliffe was also accused of being an irresponsible husband and was allegedly spotted in supermarkets at Tuskys and Nakumatt shopping for different women.

Roncliffe has however come out to deny these allegations saying that he did not cheat on his wife and the woman in question  is just a friend, nothing more.

 

 

‘Inside Africa’, hosted by Soni Methu, is a special programme this week, dedicated to the CNN MultiChoice African Journalist Awards, held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, last month.

The programme offers highlights of all aspects of the Awards ceremony, a glitzy occasion   which saw hundreds of journalists and dignitaries gather from across the continent, including guest of honour, Tanzanian President, Jakaya Kikwete.

All those present enjoyed an evening which celebrated the very best in African journalism, and ‘Inside Africa’ captures all the action, plus some revealing behind-the-scenes moments.

Joseph Mathenge is a valiant Kenyan photojournalist whose pictures captured the horrors of the Westgate Mall terrorist attack in Nairobi, September 2013.

Mathenge became the first ever photojournalist to win the overall prize at the African Journalist Awards, the CNN MultiChoice African Journalist 2014.

‘Inside Africa’ speaks to Mathenge shortly after the ceremony draws to a close, who recounts to CNN the heartrending eight hours he and his son spent on that fateful day, when the mall was attacked by unidentified gunmen.

He tells the programme: “I was with my son, together with security personnel.  We were taking pictures, documenting each and every thing that was happening, because it was very important to document all this so that the world could see exactly what was happening.  The moment we were inside there we knew we were in danger.  We were there until the last person was rescued.  That’s when we came out.  We were not going to leave the place otherwise.”

Mathenge’s son Geoff Kihato tells CNN: “I was not afraid to go inside, but when we reached the terrace that was hosting the kid’s festival, I froze.  I had never seen such an image.  Then my dad told me to stop looking and help people.  That is one image I can never forget.”

The courage and skill which Mathenge and his son displayed while under fire in Westgate brought the terrifying story to the whole world, as they helped rescue trapped, desperate people – all at the same time as taking more than a 1000 images in those chaotic hours.

‘Inside Africa’ looks at the history of the African Journalist Awards, and how they have championed excellence in African journalism since their inception in 1995. The show reports   their growing influence and impact on journalistic standards.

The stories nominated for the 2014 competition came from the length and breadth of Africa, from Algeria to Benin, Nigeria to Kenya, and Mozambique to South Africa.

Show host Soni Methu speaks to a variety of finalists and winners, who reveal what it feels like to have their work recognised by the most prestigious awards dedicated to African journalism on the continent.

Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko is growing fat and big. That is expected of course considering the fact that Kenyan politicians rack in big chunks of money.

The philanthropic politician has now revealed that he is contemplating joining slim possible because he feels he is overgrowing and needs to reduce.

This is good news for Citizen TV’s Lilian Muli, the founder and host of the show that helps overweight people to reduce some wait by going through rigorous exercises.

We all have the heroes in our lives and most of the time they are usually the guys that did something that had an impact to our lives directly. Today, however, we’re celebrating a hero who is making a change in the entire society.

For Jimmy K, making little stars (and tomorrow’s stars) has always been his passion. A musician himself, Jimmy thought it wise to empower school-going children to realize their talents in arts NOW and not having to wait till they are out of high school.

In the wake of this, the soft-spoken singer launched a school programme that discovers, nurtures and rewards talents of school-going kids. Jimmy K’s “Dreamz Come True” programme scouts for talent among high school kids across the country, identifying the best talent and putting them in one pool where the top three in each category (singing, poetry, skits, modeling among other creative arts) are awarded a full year scholarship.

The programme is fast gaining traction and Jimmy plus his team have been traversing the country visiting schools to scout raw and untapped talent.

Speaking to him he says, “There’s so much untapped talent and these kids have so much potential that no one has discovered. We saw this and decided to give them a platform to prove themselves and I can tell you for sure that some of these kids could compete favorably on the same stage with some of the established artistes in this country.

Following the success of “Dreamz Come True”, there was an immense pressure on him from parents and other stakeholders to extend the programme to primary school children.

After giving it much thought, Jimmy K launched “My Treasure” a few months ago and the response has been overwhelming! He’s so far taken the programme to Kajiado, Machakos and Nakuru counties and the response has been awe-inspiring.

He says, “Looking at primary school kids you may be tempted to think that they have nothing to offer on the arts stage since they have barely recovered from their diaper days. But give that kid a mic and a platform and you’ll be shocked what they can do.”

Jimmy K and his team will be in Meru county this weekend for yet another edition of “My Treasure” and we can’t wait to see what will come out of that.

The best words to describe Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko are hard to come by but all we can say is this simplest phrase: Golden.

The philanthropic politician has never shied away from rocking controversy, creating humour and above all, flaunting what God has blessed him with.

Mike Sonko has left many of our mouths agape after he uploaded a photo of himself covered with gold; a golden watch, golden rings, a golden hat.

Just when we thought we were dealing with the primitive act of stripping a woman at Accra Road in Nairobi by unruly touts, another clip has emerged from the Coastal City, appalling and disgusting to say the least, this time round rowdy men stripping naked a lady dressed in jeans.

The clip is one of the most unpleasant ones and this is likely to cause more public outcry on the safety and respect for women.

Celebrities have been airing their displeasure at the animalistic acts of the idle men, and the latest to add her voice to the long list is comedian Jalang’o’s wife, Cheptoek Boyo.

Cheptoek is known to be quiet and always away from the limelight but this time round she has really gotten disgusted to an extent that she has opted to unleash her venom at the men going round undressing women.

In her facebook page, Cheptoek’s anger is very clear. She is swearing that she could commit murder if she had a chance to because these acts are barbaric.

“I wanted to shut up but I’m so mad. Who the hell gave this touts permission to strip ladies. WTF, thank God i’m not their mother i would have chopped their heads of and put it on a stick and say. “There is my stupid son.”

Forget the cat; Jimwatt is a man with nine lives. After battling alcohol addiction for a while and his career taking a hit, Jimwatt was involved in a gruesome road accident that could have taken his life.

He was lucky to have escaped with his life, but the injuries he had sustained were so severe that he needed reconstructive surgery to recover. Jimwatt had suffered multiple fractures on both legs and some broken ribs and his family needed to raise money so that he would get into surgery as soon as possible.
 Money was an issue but Jimwatt was lucky that Jaguar swooped in like a super-hero and cleared his medical bills and funded his reconstructive surgery. This saved him from a life-time stuck in a wheel chair and he can now thank the heavens he can walk again.

Jimwatt was recently in our offices and for the first time opened up about the accident .He says that it was a late night and he was heading out for an event in the company of some friends. Then later disaster struck and their car had a head on collusion with another car this was along Thika road next to Thika Road mall.
He however declined to disclose the cause of the accident as it was a pending court case so he wasn’t legally allowed to completely open up about the accident.
Jimwatt says that he is very grateful for receiving support from his fans and when he was in the hospital he realized the fact that he survived proves that his work here was not yet done.

Ladies and gentlemen I think it’s about time we put a stop to this madness.

Because stripping a woman in public because you think she is ‘indecently’ dressed is madness, some will say animalistic, but from the things I’ve witnessed in the last few days, human beings can be worse than animals.

Jeans and a top could get you stripped! After registering one is asked to pay 200 an equivalent to 2.3 dollars. This money is said to be a ‘commitment fee that will be used to process your volunteer/intern identity card at the UNDP head office.

After sending the money one gets the message below, one of them promising to contact you as soon as possible.

After parting with your 200 bob you realize that you are not getting a call so you decide to show up at the Main UN headquarters at Gigiri. There you meet with other job seekers only for the soldier to tell you that ‘You must be very stupid to have fallen for such a thing since UN does not ask for money.’

This is the story of two University students who unfortunately fell prey to scammers who have swindled many students before off their money.
When you send the money it goes to Techno Hub Africa or Selective media. Techno Hub does not exist and the information on the Kenyan Child Organization is fake. We logged on to Selective Media and found the number of one Kevin Otieno who revealed to us that he was the man behind the Kenyan Child Organization .Kevin also acknowledged that he had received 200 shillings from us. He even offered one of us a job as a Social Media intern but refused to reveal their location or when the intern should report for work. He said that he would consult about the location and time with his ‘boss’.
He then called us back after a few minutes denying any knowledge of the internship. Something that clashed with what he had said earlier, since he had already offered us the internship.

A furore has been whipped up. I watched that video in utter disbelief. And the more I watched,the more outraged I was. The more dazed I became. It was a sick,jarring and stupefying video that left a more-than-bitter taste in many a Kenyan Mouth.

Some third-grade,school-drop out libertines had the audacity to descend on a woman who was,until then,minding her business and,like brainless twats in a Banana Republic,ended up UNDRESSING her…Exposing her privacy and cheering on their fellow retards as the atrocious act went on.

A couple level-headed touts could be seen attempting to shield the hapless woman from any further assault and public mortification but their never-been-to-school gang of repugnant neanderthals could have NONE OF IT!

The Woman’s humiliation went on unaffected. She yelled and screamed and hollered for help frantically…Her hoarse voice reaching mute ends and her despondent plea achieving NO results.

Her clothes were shredded and her skirt rolled up..some retards even went a step further and pulled down her black underwear…causing her even further discountenance.

Robert Alai caused quite the storm on Twitter yesterday and the women were reaching for his jugular.

This is because he said that women who walk scantily clad should be stripped and that he would join in the stripping if he came across a woman dressed scantily.

Kiss FM radio presenter Adelle Onyango tweeted this in response to his backward sentiments:

“My God! Robert Alai has lost it – this man has NO respected for women NONE!”

She then joined South African singer Simphiwe in attempt to get Alai’s account suspended his outdated not forgetting his misogynistic comments.

Robert Alai predictably attempted to insult her referring her to her as a takataka trying to be like her mum.

What’s with Alai and his fixation on peoples mum’s?

Still on the mini-skirt debate. Still on the stripping saga. This is what is on the lips of many of us after a lady was undressed and harassed by touts at Embassava bus station for what they felt was improper dressing by the lady.

It is something that has elicited mixed reactions from the public. While some are in support of the act, others have strongly condemned it, terming it primitive and sexual assault.

The director of digital communication in the office of the president, blogger Dennis Itumbi, has also aired his views on the same.

In his facebook page, Itumbi wonders why people could strip a lady dressed in what he (Itumbi) loves most: a mini-skirt. Itumbi admits that he can die for a mini-skirt and advices that the touts who stripped the lady naked should by now be in jail.

He goes on to add that there is no law in Kenya that bars ladies from donning mini-skirts and that everybody’s freedom should be respected.

This is what Itumbi had to say:

“As an individual – I expect nothing less than arrests and legal accountability for everyone involved in stripping naked the girl in a Miniskirt in Embassava and Mombasa too.

There is no law that bars our women from dressing in Mini skirts.

As I said else where, i personally love Mini Skirts. Let our women dress sexy and according to their choice and comfort.

The Embassava bus station saga has elicited different reactions from the public, with some condemning the act and calling it inhumane while others warning that more stripping is going to occur if people are not going to dress in the ‘correct’ manner.

Esther in her tweet says that men tend to think that for a woman to succeed, she must use what is between her legs, and not what is between her ears.

This is after Robert Alai told her she is successful because of the engagements she has had with top male officials in the government.

However, the only mistake Esther has made and which is likely to taint her name among Kenyan men is associating Alai’s views to all men.

I set out to investigate the matter ever so carefully, on my way to the oval Westland’s yesterday  where I had been invited amongst other media personalities for a media briefing.  I came across a two chainz billboard which still stands around tree house,  it bears the caption “2 Chainz sold out”  I was enthralled  at the thought that 2 chainz must have come into the country secretly and was planning anarchy as we moved about in oblivion- Or why was the banner still up a month after the event?

Today as I was coming to work I saw another banner around safari park hotel, bearing the same caption, that two chainz concert was still sold out- That when I smelled a cat and a rat. I launched my investigative mechanism and was able to track down 2 Chainz . He has been living in the country for 3 weeks  now!!

2 Chainz Has been in Kenya for 3 weeks now? And how on earth did he miss his event? Well, close sources reveal that 2 chainz has  been living in Roysambu for the fear that Njoki chege would write a bile laden, filth-reeking,hate ridden pathetic article  about him! Probably about his shoes, his teeth, or even his famous 2 chains.

There is a pattern in some Kenyan men that drives makes women’s  tempers flare up . The habit of men stripping women in public because they are dressed ‘indecently ’.

A clip of a woman in red getting stripped by Embassava touts surfaced online recently and had many women up in arms. And chauvinism in some men reared its ugly head with some jumping on a moral high horse and slut-shaming the woman, who was clearly the victim.

 The touts zeroed in on the poor woman like a pack of thirsty predatory hyenas and tore her clothes off and even attempted to tear her top off. Exposing her nudity to the public. It was disgusting! It was archaic and if I had my way it would be a crime punishable by law!

Rapper Xtatic was clearly disgusted by this primitive behavior and took to Facebook to make her thoughts known

If swear if someone calls me out for my dressing in An appeal for people to strip me I will willingly take off my clothes and walk to where I was going …because that is what these stupid men want.
Because it’s seems they have interest in taking women’s clothes off ..evidently for their own entertainment and excitement, let her do it herself , THEN THE FUCK WHAT!!?

Because if you even attempt to touch me for walking naked, you will have to explain to me first, why stripping a woman naked is acceptable in the first place, Thank you.
