We all knew that Willy Paul loved him some Rihanna given that his latest song was inspired by Rihanna’s “Rehab”, but we never pegged him for a Chris Brown.

Willy Paul‘s super gorgeous girlfriend recently informed us that Willy Paul beat her up and strangled her.

Speaking exclusively to Ghafla, the girl by the name Michelle says”Willy Paul has been violent with me twice. The first time he strangled me and left bruises on my neck. This was because he wanted my phone and I would not let him have it.”

“ But I let it go” she continues adding that “ Until recently when he followed me to work and caused a huge scene, punching me in the stomach .I have several eye witnesses to prove that he followed me there and started hitting me”

After we expressed our shock upon receiving this news she says that “It is okay though, I hold nothing against him all I can say that what he did to me was not right all I did was love him but I guess everything has its limits.”

So would she be staying with him after he was violent with her we ask. To which she replied “Our relationship was over even before I had a clue so as far as it has reached, I am done and I have a career to build and a son to raise, so I no longer have time to waste”

Given how grave this allegation was, it was only fair that we called Willy for his right of reply. He unfortunately did not pick up our calls despite us calling him multiple times.

Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati is facing a possible finger/arm amputation after his finger was bitten by a fellow member of parliament in a fracas that ensued during the controversial passing of the controversial security bill that is now law.

Photos have emerged where the ODM/CORD MP is hospitalized as he receives treatment following what is alleged is a bite from a JUBILEE MP as fracas ensued over the security bill that caused a lot of talk in town.

Reports suggest that Mr. Arati’s condition since the bite has been worsening and now he is facing a possible amputation to save his arm and body from further damage and pain.

As the new developments are unfolding, many are wondering whether the member of parliament who bit Arati had poison in his/her teeth.

Some made a joke out of the situation after wondering how a Simba could be hurt!

It’s with a heavy heart that we break to you news of the death of one Mike Gatheca. Mike is known as the Managing director of one of Kenya’s hottest malls, the Juja Capital Centre.

Mike met his tragic death on Saturday night at Roysambu along Thika Road after an awful road accident that left his car mangled.

Former TV queen, Esther Arunga, has finally responded to Eric Omondi’s plea; her response will surely be heartbreaking to many.

Citizen TV’s reporter, Sylvia Chebet, flew to Australia on a mission of finding the former screen siren Esther Arunga and shading light on the many controversies that had struck her. It was during Sylvia’s interaction with her that Esther responded to Eric’s appeal.

After news emerged that Esther had lost her baby through mysterious circumstances; Eric Omondi started a campaign to bring her back home. Responding to that campaign, Esther categorically said she was in Australia to stay.

Sylvia asked her whether she would be coming back home and her answer was a straight NO. This is heartbreaking to Eric and many Kenyans who wished Esther could return to Kenya. It is even more sorrowful knowing Esther now lives alone after Australian authorities placed her children under foster care.

For a long time mere mortals have often referred to themselves as ‘God’. Jay –Z refers to himself as “Hova” from Jehovah and Kanye West referred to himself as “Yeezus” and made a song called “I Am a God”. Both names have sparked the wrath of keyboard warriors who were appalled by the blatant blasphemy.

And this was not the first time Kanye had people ticked off, who can forget his controversial 2006 Rolling Stone cover where he posed in a crown of thorns and called it “The Passion of Kanye West”?
But Kanye and Jay-z pale in comparison to one Jehova Wanyonyi. A polygamous, obviously deluded 90 year old man who thinks he is God .

He claims that he created everything in the world and has a decent following of people who call themselves called “the lost Israelites”This Wanyonyi says that the world is near and has a sword in his backyard to “unleash terror on the world” for this sins.It sounds like a butt load of B.S but some people are really buying what he is selling, referring to him as a “God in a man’s body”.

But lies and deceit is not the only thing Wanyonyi is good at, he is also quite the smooth operator, bagging not one but 25 wives .He has 100 children and grand children he cannot keep track of. Akuku danger would be proud!

Yesterday, Citizen TV ran a story on the plight of Esther Arunga after her son’s death. The clip revealed that Esther Arunga had two daughters after Sinclair who were promptly taken away after his bizarre murder.

On the day she lost Sinclair, she lost all she had, her husband and children and watching the clip one could not help but sympathize with her. It’s actually amazing how strong this woman is, she has managed to keep it together despite all she was battling with.Citizen TV reveals to us that Esther was now living alone, devoting most of her time to reading.

Rights Activist, Boniface Mwangi, is one annoyed fellow; he accuses CORD for blatantly “betraying” Kenyans.

On Friday 19^th of December, Boniface Mwangi wrote a letter to CORD accusing and exposing their betrayal of Kenyans; this was after the showdown in parliament that saw fists flying all over.

The Rights Activist is accusing CORD of calling on Kenyans to protest in the streets and “abandoning” them to solely face the music when they are caught by the police. Boniface highlighted a number of times when CORD had called on Kenyans to take up arms against the government only to abandon them when Kenyans needed them the most.

He emphasized backstabbing was the trick CORD had mastered well using it to trick Kenyans. Down is the letter he wrote to CORD:

Dear CORD,

On Thursday the 18th of December you called upon Kenyans from all walks of life to come out in large numbers in opposition to the passing of the security bill. In fact the words you used were ‘mass action’ and the code name for the protest was ‪#‎OccupyParliament. From your party leader Raila Odinga, to other leading lights of the party, such as senator Bonnie Khalwale, you encouraged Kenyans to come in droves.

Members of Bunge la Mwanainchi answered to the call and went to the streets yesterday. Sadly they were the only people who turned up for the protest. Neither the leadership nor the membership of CORD could be seen. Eight of those who came for the protest were assaulted and arrested by the anti-riot police, despite the peaceful nature of their protest.

On the 19th of December, the arrested were arraigned and charged with incitement to cause violence and unlawful assembly. Surprisingly CORD was absent and they didn’t send lawyers to represent them. Civil society sent a lawyer Mbugua Mureithi who asked the magistrate for a friendly cash bail and the prosecution didn’t object. To rub salt to their literal wounds, Resident Magistrate PM Mugure ordered that the accused be released on a surety or bond of Sh. 300,000 each, that’s Sh 2.4 million for the eight of them. Simply put they are faced with the prospect of spending Christmas in prison.

Where was CORD? Why have they betrayed those young men who answered their call?

This is not the first time that CORD has forsaken brave Kenyans who are willing to fight for just causes. In June last year we held the first occupy parliament protesting the attempt by Members of Parliament to award themselves a pay rise. The protest was violently disrupted, many were beaten, and 17 people were arrested and charged in court for exercising their rights. CORD was silent.

On Feb 13 this year we called for a state of the nation protest, Rev. Timothy Njoya had graciously agreed to give a sermon about the state of the nation outside parliament. The government cancelled the protest using a questionable press release on the morning of the protest, the many who turned up at Uhuru park were tear gassed including Reverend Njoya and those arrested are still in court. CORD once again, was silent.

Will CORD ever speak up for the masses or will they continue blaming the tyranny of numbers for their silence. Their inability to speak when things go wrong, their failure to even turn up for a protest they organised; these are the signs of a movement that not only lacks the resolve to stand up for the truth, but also lacks any concrete solutions. CORD as opposition has not achieved a single thing for Kenyans since they took that role in march 2013.

It is time that progressive and non-tribal Kenyans, formed a third party that will be responsive to Kenyans needs.

While concerned citizens look for funds to bail out the eight young men, we hope CORD will at least be ashamed enough to do something.

The Lilian Muli hosted show finally came to a conclusion on Friday evening after seeing one out of the 21 contestants who started the show walk away with the grand prize of 1 million Kenyan shillings.

The finale which was held at the Boma Hotel and was keenly followed by fans, including renowned politicians in the country.

Among those following the show keenly was Mbita MP Millie Odhiambo, who at the end blasted the host, Lilian Muli over what she termed as rigging of the competition.

Caroline Kinyanjui walked away with the 1M but Millie seems disturbed by this and she quickly took to her facebook account to blast Lilian for rigging Miss Kinyanjui into winning the competition.

Seems rigging is becoming a common word in Kenya these days. Everything is rigged!

How and why Millie thinks Lilian Muli rigged the competition we cannot tell but here is what she said:

“Rigging even slim possible? Surely Lillian Muli you can surely do better than that.”

 

Pierra Makena and businessman Jimnah Mbaru have been linked more often than a chain of Farmer’s choice sausages much to the vexation of Pierra.

The renowned DJ couldn’t hide her irritation when quizzed about the said relationship and we cannot blame her since no woman with a great social standing wants to be linked with a married man, romantically.

“First and foremost I’m a Christian I come from a very religious background and I read the Bible so I know that dating a married man is wrong and you will never find me doing that. Not because he is not handsome or whatever, but I want to follow what God has put me here to do.” she says adding that “ I do not want to be a stumbling block to any young person because I know that there are people who look up to me. “

“I don’t want young people to date a married man because Pierra dates married men” she continues “Every time I hear that story it breaks my heart to imagine what the wife feels every time she hears that story. It breaks my heart very badly”

She says that she does not even have his cell phone number or even email. In fact she has only met him once at her house party, two years ago. A house party where she had invited 20 people and 300 people showed up among Jimnah Mabru.

“Why they took him and decided to associate him with me I have no idea. Someone wanted to make a story but they didn’t think of the harm it would cause” she says.

Yesterday in parliament, fists were exchanged, thumbs were bitten into, clothes were ripped and books were thrown, it was a pandemonium!

This was during the debate over the anti-terrorism bill which was eventually passed. A bill that has been so controversial due to the fact that people feel that the draconian bill will further curtail media freedom, invade the privacy of individuals and will take us back to the dark times, that is during Moi’s tenure in office.

The controversial bill may have not garnered international attention but the vicious exchange of words that turned into a full-blown combat did

 

 

The controversial security bill that caused a lot of mayhem and discomfort in the country where members of the national assembly exchanged blows is now law after it was passed by a section of MPs.

However, the question is, do you know sections of the new law which could land you in jail if you go against them?

Was the bill rushed through parliament without involving the public, therefore making them prone to breaking the law out of ignorance?

After the two different incidences of the Mandera massacre, and after that infamous parliament fight, the government has released names of individuals suspected to be Al Shabaab accomplices and who are a threat to the national security.

Even as the controversial Security Bill becomes law as from today, the government has tabled names of Mohamed Mohamud aka Dulyadin aka Gamadheere from Garissa and Ahmed Iman from Majengo in Nairobi and asked anybody who knows their whereabouts to report to the police immediately.

According to Gedion M Kimilu, Director of Criminal Investigations, the two are key Al Shabaab commanders being sought by the National Police Service for being behind a spate of terrorist attacks in the country.

Anybody who spots them or has information on their whereabouts should pass it to the nearest Police Station or Administration Unit for action.

Anybody who reveals their whereabouts will be given a 2 million shillings reward.

Whenever I hear someone referring to themselves as prophet/ prophetess, I raise an eyebrow or …two. This is because in the past we have learned that these so called prophets and prophetesses do not usually walk on the straight and narrow road.

They also have outlandish views and opinion on things, for example one Jemima Wangari who preaches around City Hall and Hotel Ambassadeur .

She claims that she was shocked that Kenyan leaders are against stripping of women saying that soon God would smite them for that.

Adding that “I felt bad when Senator Sonko said he is ready to pay Sh200, 000 for anyone who will report those stripping women. If women are allowed to dress the way they want, then we are promoting immorality.It pains me that women leaders, including MPs and some vocal women representatives, are supporting this kind of behavior yet they ought to be role models.”

She even admitted to The Nairobian that she tried to strip women who dress skimpily “I recently tried to strip two young women in Eastlands who were scantily dressed to teach them lesson, but they fled. I support men who strip these women, as long as they do not assault them,” she said.

 

 

 

Last month there was a clip that surfaced on the internet of a supposed Nyeri woman beating her clearly super sloshed and scrawny lover in public.

(P.S that was not a Nyeri woman, the accent was not from the region. Just because there is a woman beating man somewhere, it does not always mean it Is Nyeri women who did the beating.)
But I digress. The said woman ferociously kicked the man while people stood around and just watched and watching, cheering looking thoroughly entertained. With the entrepreneurs in the crowd saying that they would be taking the video and selling it to NTV.

On Tuesday, a picture started circulating on social media of a man whose buttocks were badly scalded. His crime was that he could not keep it in his pants and the lover had to ‘teach him a lesson’.

Just yesterday, another video of a man beaten by his Mpango was Kando and with her cronies sanding around some of them giving shouts of approval as the woman beat the man with a wooden cooking spoon. The man was receiving the said beating from the mpango wa Kando because he had decide that he needed another side dish to the side dish.

Before I continue, since when did Mpango wa Kando have rights to make demands? You are making demands as who? You are the freaking mpango wa kando not the wife, know your place! In fact if anyone should have been angry it should have been the wife.

If the tables were turned and these 3 incidences of violence happened to women, Social Media would have been on fire and everyone would be baying for the perpetrators blood.

So this begs the question, when it comes to violence, is it subject to double standards? Do we decide whether it’s right or wrong depending on whether it’s a woman or man getting beaten up?

If we are outraged when a woman gets beaten then why do we mock, cheer on or just go on our way when it’s our male counterparts?
