Octopizzo Lands An Ambassadorial Job

Rapper Octopizzo has been endorsed for different positions before like that of the UN and many others thanks to his ever rising star in music.

The celebrated Kibera-born rapper has been on the rise musically and perhaps this explains why he is landing massive deals each day with big organizations.

The latest to come his way is the ambassadorial position in a campaign dubbed Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG).

Octopizzo has already started working as the ambassador of this campaign that is aimed at ensuring that violence against the female gender is done away with. This includes battering and sexual abuse among others.

Mzee Ojwang And Mama Kayai Allegedly Fired For ‘Being Too Old’

After enjoying a successful career in television spanning over 30 years, entertaining presidents and the hoi polloi , most people  mark their retirement with a party , a couple of glasses of the finest wine and a hefty retirement package.

Not so for Mama Kayai and Mzee Ojwang’ who were allegedly fired from ‘Vitimbi’ for being ‘too old’ after entertaining us for over 3 decades on KBC. This was revealed to Nation, by Mama Kayai who spoke at the Lions Eye Hospital where Mzee Ojwang had been admitted after getting rescued by the Sonko Rescue Team.

Big Brother Africa Hero Set To Jet Into The Country…And He Won’t Be Alone

Big Brother Africa is a platform that sends many into the limelight. Kenyans have tried their luck too with many becoming instant flops except CMB Prezzo who had a nice run to the finals two seasons ago.

The last episode of the continent’s biggest reality show saw Tanzania’s Idris Sultan emerge as the ultimate winner after evading serious challenges from his opponents.

And Sultan bagged colossal sums of money from the award and of course an addition from Nigeria and Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote.

The BBA winner has been touring places across the continent and beyond, and his next destination will be Nairobi.

Sultan has revealed that he will be touring Nairobi come this Thursday alongside Tanzanian singer Ommy Dimpoz who recently did a colabo with Kenya’s Avril.

Idris will be continuing with his Idris Africa Tour and his ultimate destination will be Skylux Lounge where he is expected to entertain with his countryman Ommy Dimpoz.

Controversial Singer Blasts Eric Omondi…See Why He Thinks Eric Is A Poor Comedian

Eric Omondi is arguably the best comedian in Kenya today. The Churchill protégé has established a name for himself as one of the most loved comedians in Kenya thanks to his ability to make fans laugh their ribs out.

While this is what majority of us see and think about Eric, controversial Dance Hall singer Blaqy is of a totally different opinion.

Speaking exclusively to Ghafla Kenya in an interview, Blaqy has blasted Eric Omondi saying that he is not a top comedian as many of us tend to think.

Blaqy says that Eric cannot entertain for long before he bores and irritates the audience.

Blaqy has compared Eric with Mzee Ojwang who is ailing. While Ojwang is an actor and Eric a comedian, Blaqy says that the two can be compared and here Mzee Ojwang is the master.

“Eric cannot entertain for long before he bores you. Mzee Ojwang has been there for long and he knows how to entertain.”

Blaqy also blasted the government for neglecting Kenyan heroes like Mzee Ojwang.

Here is the interview as it went down:

This Is The MOST RACIST Restaurant In Kenya. Admits To Turning Away Blacks After 7 Pm. KTN’s Dennis Onsarigo And Friends Were Victims! (EVIDENCE)

Kenyans are generally hospitable people .We welcome foreigners with open arms, letting them build our roads, set up their businesses among other benefits but as it turns out some of them will just turn and spit in our faces

A certain Chinese eatery,  Bai Xing Ren Jia Family Restaurant was accused of turning away black people after 7 pm by one Mosoku Geoffrey on Facebook. Here is the post

family_reasaturant.jpg

There is this Chinese restaurant next to Nairobi hospital and my two colleagues Patrick Mayoyo and Dennis Onsarigo and I are meeting another colleague from Nigeria, so we decide to go there for an evening drink but we are turned off at the gate; reason? We are told they don’t take in Africans after 7pm. Reminds me the Norfolk or New Stanley of the colonial era. I keep warning that China will colonise us one day and it’s now happening right here.

We called up the restaurant to find out if this was true but on the other end of the line was a lady who spoke little English but directed me to a higher authority, the management.

I honestly expected them to deny, but I was shocked when he admitted to turning away Africans for ‘security reasons’ . Shocked, I asked if White and Asian people were allowed into the hotel after 7 P.M and he stated without stuttering or being bashful that they were allowed in as they were not a ‘security threat’ .You can listen to teh conversation below:

{youtube}cMa4vE2aviQ{/youtube}

Apparently, the reason for this move was that some African police from Kilimani police station raided a Chinese restaurant last year mugging people and apparently the Chinese Association of Kenya banned Africans from 7 P.M.

Some policemen from Kilimani police station in civilian raided the Chinese Restaurant at the end of Lenana Road last year. The State thugs mugged people. They were in civilian but in police boots.Their biggest mistake-they were all blacks. The Chinese Association in Kenya circulated the information and they agreed that no African would be allowed beyond 7 pm. I think the foreigners are right.

Either way if this was the reasoning behind the banning,  I think its wrong to generalize people because of the mistakes of some individuals from that race, ethnicity or religion. If we are using this backward reasoning then maybe blacks should avoid whites due to the KKK, Nazis and slave drivers. I think this is utter poppycock and this kind of reasoning is outdated because even white and Asians steal !

This reminds me of the Artcaffe saga a few years ago, you can read how the saga played out here

This begs the question why are you setting up a hotel in a country that is predominantly black ten forbidding the people from entering the place after certain hours. It’s like me setting up a hotel in Shanghai then forbidding Asians from entering the premises from 7.pm for ‘security reasons.’

EXCLUSIVE: Radio Maisha Set To Raid KBC’s Top Talent

The media industry in Kenya is synonymous with poaching of top talent from one station to another, with heavy perks taking centre stage as the pivotal point that moguls use to lure well established media personalities.

It has happened before and it is still happening in this time and age. With the shift to digital broadcasting media poaching is expected to escalate as media houses will try to get on their knees with luring best talent from the old established ones.

This said and done, it does not necessarily mean that stations poaching top talents are not established, nah. In fact what they want is to inject fresh blood into their already well established human resource departments.

This explains why Radio Maisha is ‘encroaching’ state-owned KBC for its top talent.

A credible source privy to Ghafla Kenya tells us that Radio Maisha are keenly monitoring Bonie Musambi’s situation at KBC and are likely to lure him to the Standard Group radio station with a promising remuneration.

musambi

                    Bonnie Musambi

It is understood that Musambi, who hosts KBC’s morning show with Cynthia Anyango, has already been contacted by the Radio Maisha management over a possible shift from KBC to Standard Group.

Our source also tells us that Radio Maisha top presenter, Alex Mwakideu had made threats to leave the station but rescinded his decision and decided to stay back.

Musambi was seen as a possible replacement for Mwakideu but now that he has rescinded his decision to leave that does not mean Musambi won’t join Radio Maisha. It is understood that Radio Maisha still wants Musambi to fix him in one of their shows.

alex

Mwakideu and Jalang’o have made a perfect combination in their Maisha Asubuhi show

Musambi is considered a hot prospect who can bring the correct ratings to the already established radio station. Alongside the likes of Mwakideu, Anne Njogu and Emmanuel Mwashumbe, Musambi will definitely add fresh blood to the collection of the country’s best radio presenters.

Mwakideu had threatened to quit Radio Maisha for lack of a pay rise but it is understood that the management begged him in a meeting to rescind his decision and stay back.

Mwakideu and Jalang’o have made a perfect combination for their Maisha Asubuhi show which is arguably the most listened to radio show.

Only time will tell if indeed Musambi will resist the urge to join Radio Maisha.

THE LIST: 15 Kenyan Female Celebrities That Have Killer Legs And Thighs For Days

There is power in legs. Legs are, along with the eyes, the core of feminine sensuality. Not sexuality, that’s boobs, butt and the like. Sensuality is the soft whisper of a woman compared to sexuality’s loud trumpet. Sensuality takes you deeper into a woman’s heart and soul as opposed to sexuality

A woman’s legs are also special because they are prelude to a small special place where they end.   And as they say, the better the road, the more likely you are to appreciate the destination once you reach there.

The perfect shape, the perfect length and the smoothest looking skin are just a few of the attributes that make up a pair of perfect pins; and these lovely ladies possess those and more! These 15 women have stems worth showing off

Tallia Oyando

talia111

The Homeboyz Radio presenter has been in the industry for a while now, but it’s her tanned, toned legs that have been getting some serious attention lately. The night nurse has stems that would make even a monk go nuts

Stella Mwangi (STL)

The rapper’s gorgeous gams have made a name for themselves thanks to their lean, sculpted shape. It’s rumored that the Norway-based superstar does high-intensity cardio, including kickboxing and running, at least three times a week, as well strength-training exercises like jump squats and lunges.

Risper Faith

rispeeeee

Wide surface area, more flesh per inch and dark as Kabarnet soil. That’s the fitting description for Risper Faith’s legs.  Not everyone agrees though

Avril

avril111111111

Obviously, singer Avril’s entire body is pretty much perfect, but her mile-long legs really make her stand out. I have questioned her musical talents before but I can’t afford to question her beauty. Her legs and thighs are too good that some campus students almost ripped her pants apart while she was performing

Judy Anyango

judooooo

She not only has thick stunning legs but also a packed a$s to keep them company. The model has not quite broken out but her goodies have done so with grace.

Victoria Kimani

victoriaaaa2

And how could I forget my future bae. With long, toned legs like hers, even CIC would insure them for a few million shillings. I’d refer to her pair of limbs as “Weapons of Mass Seduction” . Last week, I wrote A Love Letter To My Celebrity Crush Victoria Kimani and she responded in kind, even going on to post the entire piece on her Instagram account. Don’t be surprised to hear we are engaged soon.

Habida

habidaaaaa

She has been hit by a series of scandals that have brought her reputation into disrepute. Most recently, she was accused of sleeping with another woman’s husband. But with legs like hers which man wouldn’t be tempted to cheat on their beloved wife who they swore to be with for rich and for poor.

Vanessa Cheattle

 vanessaaaaaaaaaa

She likes exposing her assets because she has total faith in them. Believe me when I tell you that without her perfect pair of limbs, the upcoming socialite would be nothing.

Sanaipei Tande

sanaaaaa

The ‘Mfalme wa mapenzi’ singer’s legs are always shining. I don’t know whether she’s secretly advertising Vaseline or Valon but that’s a tale for another season. One thing we can all agree on is that her legs are thitimaaaaaaa

Vera Sidika

veraaaaa1

of course she’s become cliche. But deservingly so. At this rate, I think the only list Vera will miss out on is the ‘Natural Beauties’ list. Otherwise she makes the cut everywhere.

Huddah Monroe

huddaaaaadd

She didn’t become so popular for nothing. WORD

Eve D’Souza

eve dsouzaaaa111

One diva who’s not aging. She looks as good as she did 10 years ago. And those legs….those legs. One more time…..those legs

Corazon Kwamboka

corazon45

I hate her face but I love her body. If I could photoshop her face with that of someone else, I would. I know how mean that sounds but trust me, I’ve been dying to say it. Off my chest now. Don’t scratch me Corazon. Your legs are a wonder

Grace Msalame

gracemsalame1

Humble yet she always wins the battle of the curves. Grace Msalame’s legs are the supporting cast for her already perfect body

Pierra Makena

The high flying female DJ has legs that make you feel like you are reading a Sidney Sheldon novel. So perfectly outlined and so excitingly unique. Blessed is the hand that touches them

See Janet Mbugua Break Into Dance With Daystar University Students

Citizen TV siren Janet Mbugua is known to be a bit introverted when it comes to mingling with the public despite appearing jovial and welcoming on TV.

However, our thinking was put into question when we landed on this video of the sexy TV princess breaking into dance with a section of Daystar University students.

Janet shows her skills in the video with her movements clearly indicating that it is an art she has perfectly mastered.

The other day a video of Janet running of gas in a gym emerged, showing how she is working hard to keep herself fit.

Those who have taken Janet to be an introvert should not rethinking their thoughts. She is more extroverted than any of us thought.

Here is the video that is already causing a stir on the internet:

Men; Is This Why Friend Zone is Dreaded? #StoryLab

‘Let’s just be Friends’. Four words that men do not appreciate to hear, but 4 words that each of us as ladies have said to one chap or the other. Ladies, give me the chance to educate our men as to when we use these magical words. First and foremost, men you need to realize just because you like a woman, it doesn’t NOT mean they like you back. My office is male-dominated, now from the interactions I have in this office and life in general, the Lord gave men egos and self-confidence for days!! But this simple thing missed in their wooing women lessons.

We friend-zone you in this instances;

  • We are not interested in you
  • We are not interested in you.
  • We are NOT interested in you.

It’s that simple.

Abigail

But men chill in the friend-zone trying at any given opportunity to climb over that wall. Being in the friend-zone can be really frustrating and heart-wrenching. But men, you keep yourself in that box. See, any relationship is give-take referred to as Social Exchange Theory. You (dude), entered this relationship and allowed unequal terms, you gave and gave and gave…but didn’t ask what you wanted in return. So by the time you woke up…the lady has mentally put you in the ‘friends’ box.

neville.jpg Neville Misati

Which single lady in their right mind would friend zone this guy?

Rare are moments that you will actually escape the friend-zone and become a boyfriend, lover, FWB etc…but they actually do happen. Take for instance Neville, Neville made a big declaration that he wanted to be more than a friend to Abigail (Lizz Njagah) in the second episode of ‘How to Find a Husband’ which aired last Tuesday. This steamy show has everyone glued to their screens! I wait with anticipation on tonight’s episode, Neville is a sleek dude. Let’s see what his cards hold.

How to Find a Husband airs at 10pm every Tuesday on Maisha Magic, Channel 161.

Below is a recap of episode 2, enjoy;

Dj Creme De La Creme Goes Irish!

St. Patrick’s Day,  we hardly celebrate this cultural and religious Ireland celebration in Kenya, but when patrons decide to do something for the day, it’s usually of the hook! St. Patrick Day happens to be a national festival that ranks amongst all of the greatest celebration in the world, in Ireland, it’s a national day. Its history lies as an official Christian feast day, a commemoration for the day Saint Patrick introduced Christianity in Ireland, on 17th of March.

The color green prevails on this day because Saint Patrick used a green three-leaved plant, Shamrock, to explain The Trinity.

So kesho being St. Patrick’s Day, and on a chilled day like Tuesday, K1 is to host on exceptional Jazz Night with none other than the Jazz Maestro Mwai and The Truth Band. K1 will go all American and introduce the Bulleit Bourbon Whiskey. Due to the high Rye Content this Whiskey contains, it has a bold, spicy character with a distinctive clean and smooth finish which if you ask me, blends well with what the night hols.

Aside from the Jazz Maestro, the legendary Dj Crème De la Crème will be the dj for the night!

This event is brought to you by Bulleit Bourbon.

Two Men Roasted Alive In Dandora.Graphic Content!

I have a morbid sense of humor, when I saw the gory  images yesterday  I almost laughed it off. Two men woke up yesterday to  do what they have been doing for years, milk off electric transformers and deny residents their right to have electricity. But business does go wrong sometimes, yesterday was not their day.

The good book records that “whatever is done in the cover of darkness shall one day be brought to light”-pun intended, the two were lit up yesterday when  an attempt to “milk” a transformer off its valuable oil hit a snag. The photos below show the situation as it was yesterday. This comes  in the wake of complains by KPLC that  transformers are being vandalised as residents watch. In an initiative dubbed “mulika mwizi” the company has been trying to create awareness and curb the issue to no avail.

That is where Karma comes into place.

You See! We Told You! Laura Oyier Was A Creation Of The Media. See What She Is Now Doing

Yes, it is now crystal clear that Laura Oyier’s Hotel Intercontinental saga was stage-managed and was geared towards landing her the necessary fame she so craved to start off her own engagements.

The defaulter at the prestigious hotel got bailed by Kiss 100, and it seems the Radio Africa Gropu-owned radio stations had a motive behind their actions.

Laura Oyier is now the talk in town after we helped truncate her into the limelight with story after another.

And we are not going to stop here anyway. We must finish what we started. Talk, talk and talk more about her.

The controversial singer is starting her own show come this Wednesday at the Club Buccaneers in Kisumu and she is already hyping the event like never before.

Ghafla Kenya reported that Laura has been trying to break into fame since 2011 without success, but now after the Hotel Intercontinental saga, it seems she is finally gradually finding her way to the limelight.

Here is the show that is expected to go down in Kisumu tomorrow:

Victoria Kimani Shows Off Her Thick Thighs and Major Cleavage in A Daring Outfit

Victoria Kimani definitely had necks snapping, jaws dropping and blood rushing when she stepped out in the most daring outfit ever!

The black outfit featured a snazzy leather jacket, stylish sunglasses, and a black velvet top with a sheer panel that showed off her cleavage.

She also wore a skirt with a plunging slit that left very little to the imagination. To preserve her modesty, the skirt featured a sheer patterned panel on the side.

Words Of The Wise: Political Analyst And Journalism Teacher Barack Muluka Tears Into Kenyan Journalists, Calls Them Hypocrites

It is without no doubt to say that journalism in Kenya is on its decline after politics and the love for money took the place of objectivity, fairness and accuracy.

I recently did an article lamenting the sorry state of this very noble profession after the mainstream media houses quashed objectivity and embraced politics, money and self satisfaction.

You can re-read the article here

And now celebrated political analyst and journalism tutor Barack Muluka has bashed the journalism fraternity in Kenya for deviating away from the fundamentals of good journalism and embracing what editors have discussed with politicians to be considered for broadcasting.

In an article in the Standard, Muluka uses the example of the saga surrounding the Parliamentary Accounts Committe (PAC) chaired by Budalangi MP Ababu Namwamba.

The political analyst laments that instead of journalists covering parliament telling Kenyans the rot in the August House, they are deviating to less and less important things that wont help Kenyans.

Muluka says: This is a plea to young journalists, and especially parliamentary reporters and writers. You are letting down your profession and your country. The house is on fire. Instead of doing something useful about it, you are running helter-skelter after cockroaches and rats, escaping from the house.

He goes on to say: Please tell Kenyans what is happening to their taxes. Don’t mislead them by following useless diversions and sundry red herrings. Tell Kenyans we have enough wealth to make us all lead comfortable, wholesome and healthy lives. This is if we can face the facts, round up the thieves and send them to eat the bread of sorrow and drink the water of affliction in jail.

Clearly, journalism in Kenya has been terribly jeopardized by a few egoistic individuals who want to satisfy their needs at the expense of important and pertinent issues.

However, it should not be forgotten that there are journalists who deserve commendation for their incredible job despite the forces from within and without that sway them from side to side.

It is time something is really done to salvage the last glory remainin in journalism in Kenya.
