Anne Kiguta, Joyce Omondi And Huddah Monroe Top The List Of Celebrities Who Are Giving Singer-Cum-Producer Sleepless Nights

Kenya is made of beautiful lasses. Lasses who give celebrities sleepless nights as they ponder how life would be if they ever had a chance in their lives.

Citizen TV’s Anne Kiguta, gospel singer Joyce Omondi and socialite Huddah Monroe are some of the ladies who are giving one Kagwe Mungai sleepless nights.

The singer-cum-producer has admitted that the three are Kenyan celebrities he would gladly spend his entire life time with if he had a chance to.

Speaking to Ghafla Kenya in an exclusive interview, Kagwe says that he always marvels at the beauty the three celebrities harbor, and says he always admires them a lot.

Kagwe says that having a crush on a celebrity is no big deal and he just cannot resist the urge to fall for them.

Here is the interview as it went down:

After Finding Out How Much Vera Sidika Makes, Here is How to Start Your Very Own Socialite Management Company #ejijipay

Yesterday I shared with you the ultimate guide to becoming an entertainment mogul and highlighted some business ideas you can strive to pursue.

One of them was starting a Socialite Management company but I guess that’s off the butt for now. Apparently these socialites are nothing but prostitutes as it was exposed today morning. Check out the full story hereVera Sidika

Stuck? How about selling designer clothes? Not bad, now is it? All you have to do is rent out a stall in one of the many buildings within the CBD and make sure you pay for that Business Permit. That is if you chicken out from going ahead with the socialite company.

Why, you ask? There is now eJijiPay; the new platform by Nairobi City County that allows you to pay for that Single Business Permit in seconds; in addition to rent, land rates, parking fees and everything else you might owe.

And the fun bit about eJijiPay is that you can do it online, either from your PC or your mobile phone. No more long queues, no more rude kanjo guys and definitely no more underhand deals.

Easy as the 1, 2, 3 steps below:

The World’s ‘Ugliest’ Woman Wows Many Again! See What She Is Up To (Photos)

Disability is not inability! She was labelled the most repugnant face of the human species by the internet. But Lizzie Velasquez rose above hate to inspire the world.

Lizzie Velasquez suffers from Lipodystrophy, a medical condition that is characterized by abnormal or degenerative conditions of the body’s adipose tissue. (Loss of fat from one area).

As a result of her condition, Lizzie was tagged as the ugliest woman on the face of planet earth in an eight-second clip that was watched by over four million viewers on YouTube.

Even so, Lizzie wasn’t going to allow critics to turn her condition into a laughing stock, the 26-year shocked the world when she went on a mission to enlighten people about her medical condition.

But that wasn’t enough, according to BBC, the brave Lizzie is now the focus of a new documentary that premieres at the South by Southwest festival (SXSW) in Austin, Texas this coming Saturday.

Sit back, Relax and Get All Your Products Delivered to You Like a Boss. All Your Favourite Celebrities are Doing it

Someone once asked me why Kaymu is the best place Online market place in Kenya, a genuine question if I might say so myself. So besides it being the most secure place to shop online, forget the other sites where you don’t really know who you are buying from and could instantly be defrauded of your precious cash, and God knows you worked your tail off for that cash.

Fraud is never an issue on Kaymu because all the sellers are vetted by the company and guaranteed to have that much needed integrity that is missing from other sites. But even if that is still not enough of a guarantee for you, you can always check out what other customers are saying about the seller from the special seller rating section on the site.

And something else you might not have known yet is that at Kaymu you will not only get to buy some of the best merchandise but also get it delivered to you at the very cheap shipping cost of Ksh.70 per item wherever you are in Nairobi. Now tell me where else you’ll get delivery services at such a throw away price.

So with the Easter holiday just around the corner here some free advice for you, why not pop in to Kaymu and get yourself a little something for yourself or perhaps that special someone and make the holiday a bit more special, I know I will.

So whether it is that new smartphone you have been looking for, Lord knows I’ve been salivating at the new Samsung Galaxy Note 4 for a while now, and I literally just saw being sold at Kaymu at a throw away price. Yay for me!

Or if you want to get some new Sunday bests for the occasion, or just looking to tokelezea all swaged out and impress some ladies in church that day, Lord knows you’ll be more than spoilt for choice in the fashion section all of which will leave whoever you’re looking to impress speechless.

But the best part in all this is that all you don’t even have to put in that much effort to get what you want. You can simply stay home with one hand in your pants as you usually do get on to your computer and log on, or if you’ve downloaded the Kaymu app on your smartphone you can use that too to make a purchase. And your products will be delivered to your doorstep in a jiffy.

East Africa Decides! Rabbit And Jose Chameleone Triumph Over Nameless, AY And Other Music Bigwigs

It’s big, it’s better and it’s entirely East African! The region’s music heavyweight are locking horns every week at East African’s most exciting reality show, Maisha Superstar, which gives fans the privilege of deciding who is the dopiest rookie coached by these musicians.

Last Monday witnessed the crash of the titans as star rookie twisted and manipulated their voices to outdo each other in a bid to emerge as the winner of episode six of the show. ( 1.2 million and a recording contract is at stake.)

Guest judges included: Habida, Jaaz Odongo, Tina Kosoro, Cleopatra and Buddha Blaze.

Nameless, Jose Chameleone, Rabbit, AY, Shaa and Maurice Kirya indirectly faced off last Monday when their star rookies took to the podium to show what they were made of. (They are being coached by the mentioned individuals to sing).

Opening the stage with a moving performance was the glowing Myra. Her dress alone was enough to convince any dude she meant business. She uplifted the souls of the fans when she performed ‘No Diggity’ by Black Street Boys. She is being coached by Tanzania’s Shaa.

myra.jpg

Kenya’s Fil-ah made girls uneasy with his adorable swag. He Performed Ed Sheeran’s ‘Thinking Out Loud’. His mentor, Nameless, lost control of his arms, they stayed in the air throughout Fil-ah’s performance.

filah.jpg

Uganda’s Richy Kaweesa inspired many with his dress. Even guest judge, Habida, admitted the rookie appealed to her inner self. He sang Bob Marley’s ‘Turn Your Lights Down Low’. He is Maurice Kirya’s rookie.

richy.jpg

AY’s Damian Soul made the audience fall in love with Rhumba again! He performed a mind-blowing rendition of Papa Wemba’s ‘Show Me The Way’.

damian.jpg

Even though she didn’t have Rihanna’s body, the gorgeous Ugandan rookie, SpiritSoul, made fans envision the Barbadian singer on stage when she performed ‘Show Your Love’. Her sweet voice had a soothing effect to everyone who glued their eyes on her. She is Jose Chameleone’s rookie.

spirit_soul.jpg

Last but not least is Rabbit’s rookie, Phy. Her coach himself was enough to make her win additional votes. Rabbit was definitely the man of the moment at the show. The way fans creamed for him revealed he was their darling. Phy performed Drake’s ‘Hold On’.

KEWASNET; to Lead Thousands of People From Nairobi & It’s Environs in World Water Day Exhibition

WHAT: MY WATER! MY RIGHT! World Walks for Water and Sanitation 2015

WHERE: Freedom Corner, Uhuru Park, Nairobi

WHEN: 22-03-2015

Kenya Water and Sanitation Civil Society Network (KEWASNET) and End Water Poverty, the global CSO coalition, invite you to attend the international mobilization demanding universal and sustainable access to water and sanitation less than a week from now on Sunday, 22ND March 2015 in Nairobi at Uhuru Park.

As part of a global mobilization on and around World Water Day, organized as part of the international World action for Water and Sanitation campaign, KEWASNET will join civil society groups around the world in walks to demand change in water and sanitation policy, calling for the realization of the human right to water and sanitation, and more extensive government funding and programmes to expand access to the 1.8 billion people who access faecally contaminated water and the 2.5 billion people who live without access to a toilet.

With less than two weeks until World Water Day, there are already hundreds of thousands of people worldwide registered to take part in the mobilization, drawn from countries across the world and civil society organizations of various sizes, representing various sectors and campaigning across a range of issues all linked to water and sanitation.

Mr. Samson Shivaji, the KEWASNET CEO said: ‘‘We are calling on people at Uhuru Park to join us in this very important mobilization to show politicians that we will not give up on our demand for a dignified life, with adequate access to water and sanitation – a basic human right.’’

Mr. Shivaji said: “This is a unique opportunity for the people of Nairobi to take part in the global mobilization to defend the human right to water and sanitation, demand changes in their area, and have their voices heard both locally and internationally.’’ ‘‘Tackling water and sanitation must be a central concern of government, and we citizens must remind our leaders that water and sanitation are cross-cutting issues at the heart of development.’’

‘‘Water and sanitation issues are inseparable from issues of health, gender, education and economic growth. Access to the basic human right of water and sanitation therefore has the most potential to impact and alleviate global poverty.’’ ‘‘If we fund in the right way, we can overcome the water and sanitation crisis, and in doing meet our commitments to human rights and increase our national wealth, both economic and moral.’’

“Our approach to provision of Water and Sanitation must seek to address inequalities and promote Gender Equity. KEWASNET has an overarching concern regarding growing pressure on water resources, including pollution and scarcity, and the implications this has for the quality and quantity of water for peoples’ water, sanitation and hygiene needs.”

At a global level, more than one in eight people do not have improved access to a safe water supply, while almost 40% of the world’s population remains without access to sanitation – the most off-track of all the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). In regard to health targets, it is estimated that 50% of the hospital beds in the global South are filled by people with illnesses caused by inadequate water, sanitation and hygiene (UNDP 2006). Total economic losses due to inadequate water supply/sanitation services are $260 billion per year, while there is a $4 return on every $1 invested in sanitation.

Former TV Anchor Blasts Kidero For Lying That He Walked From CBD To Kempinski

Yesterday Nairobi Governor Dr. Evans Kidero lamented the sorry state of Nairobi roads after he got stuck in a traffic snarl as he drove to Kempinski in Westlands for a meeting.

Kidero posted photos of himself walking to Kempinski and lamented that he could not find his way because traffic was intense. Read here

And as the governor promised to implement some policies that will ease this problem, former KTN anchor Saddique Shaban has blasted Dr. Kidero saying that he is lying to Kenyans.

Saddique tweeted saying that there is no evidence that Kidero walked from the CBD to Kempinski as photos he shared do not indicate that.

Saddique is not the only person to troll Kidero. Other Kenyans trolled the governor after the posts.

‘I Would Do Anything For My Husband, Including Making A S#x Tape For Him’, Former TV Host Reveals

Many celebrities have used sex tapes to make a name for themselves in the entertainment industry world over while others have broken themselves down over the same.

While others see it as a way to fame and money, others shiver whenever they hear the word sex-tape and promise never to do one.

But one Yvonne Bulimo, former Tujuane Host, says that she will not mind making a sex tape with her husband as long as it pleases him.

Miss Yvonne says that she is ready to do anything for her future husband including making a sex tape with him as long as that is what will make him happy.

Miss Yvonne, however, says that she will never do a sex tape with her boyfriend because she believes it is not the correct thing to do.

She adds that she loathes sex tapes and pities those who do them for fame. She says she will never do one to seek fame.

Miss Yvonne was speaking exclusively to Ghafla Kenya in this interview:

Capital F.M May Have Passionately Denied Knowing Their Catfish Employee Wanja Kavengi, But New Evidence Proves Otherwise. Was She A Capital F.M Creation?

I was a diehard Wanja Kavengi fan, DIE HARD fan, she made my days and I hunted down her articles on Word Press ‘A Horrible Blog Full O Little Horribilities’ and her articles on Capital F.M ‘Wanja’s Wall’.

We cried with her when she said she was orphaned and she lost her remaining sibling, we ooh and aahd at her gorgeous son Max and we laughed at her fart stories. She was everything we dreamed of in a writer gorgeous, funny and smart.

wanja_k.jpg

Her Profile picture on Capital

But Alas! Wanja Kavengi did not exist, she was just part of an elaborate social media scam and we were just the naïve followers who hung to her every word. We called up Capital F.M to find out if what they said on Social Media was true, that the hilarious gorgeous writer whom we logged on to Capital F.M to read her articles was a lie.

Capital F.M has however denied knowing her, even her fellow columnists claim that they do not know her saying no one named Wanja Kavengi ever existed. And Wanja’s Wall was the figment of our imagination. Well, I will give them a virtual high 5 for just how passionately they denied knowing her, such skills are rare, but I know what I read, and it was time to do some digging. Luckily, the internet NEVER forgets.

And this gem practically landed on my hands:

WANJA_KAVENGI.jpg

As you can see the first tab reads Wanja Kavengi/Capital.

And this confirmed that i had not been hallucinating:

This begs the questions, did Capital hire someone who they have never met then realized they were being ‘cat fished’ so they promptly deleted her out of existence or was Wanja Kavengi a Capital F.M creation? Only time will tell.

The Six Most Annoying, Obnoxious And Irritating Types Of Artistes You Will Find In Kenya

In Kenya, you’ll find celebrities that are interesting but also those whose charisma is only as good as that of a dump towel.

Here are the most annoying types of artistes that you can find in the 254:

The spam artist

While there is absolutely nothing wrong with creating a mixtape or releasing an album, there is something wrong with the mindset of an artist that feels that releasing an album is their key to success. Also, most artists release albums without any build up or anticipation, and then they try to shove the whole tape in everyone’s face, on everyone’s Timeline, in everyone’s mentions, and it becomes the most annoying thing ever.

The poor stage performer

This is the artiste that huffs and puffs on stage like a camel that has just travelled 20,000 miles through the Kalahari Desert. Bro….we didn’t pay all our hard earned shillings to see you hema like a guy who has had a threesome with two momos. Practice how to rock the stage if you are not good at it.

The desperate puppy

I see you. Yes you upcoming female artiste who’s holding your brother in fear of being mentioned. You definitely fall in this category. The upcoming female singer that will distribute her punani to any ninja that will make her climb a step higher in this industry. The other type in this category will do just about anything to get recognition even if it means releasing a video that causes their parents to disown them. Their only strategy is to come up with something that will make people talk. Another type of artiste that falls in this category is the one that had one good hit long time ago and is trying to rekindle former glory

The bitter underground rapper

These are unsigned/unknown rappers that spend more time debating about mainstream artists on and off Twitter than putting the time effort and energy into their own career. These rappers are always calling out for battles with established acts. They will jump up out of a high/drunken sleep and start spitting out bars, facts and weird opinions. These cats are like a walking Hip-Hop Wikipedia. These rappers are so brainwashed by what they see the mainstream artists doing that they turn into jealous freaks

The artiste that can’t handle constructive criticism

Understand that if everyone told you how great you are all the time, that leaves no room for improvement. If you can’t handle constructive criticism, the music industry is the wrong industry to be in. As an artist, you should take heed to all of the feedback and constructive criticism given to you and use it as guidance and motivation to do better. If you’re team likes everything you do, you may want to reconsider those who are in your corner.

The Groupie King and braggart

This artiste is the life of the party. They gloat a lot and belittle other artistes. They feel like they own planet earth. You’ll probably see them surrounded by a bevy of skimpily dressed ladies at a club or event. They thrive in the fame and devours women like lunch, breakfast and supper. predictably though, their paradise days always come to a crushing end sooner or later when no one gives a f*** about their music anymore.

The attention whore

‘Every artiste loves attention, heck, that is how they became celebrities in the first place. But there are those who are sluts for the camera. They will tag every blog and news outlet whenever they do something small.

They go to the toilet, they will want that to be reported, they send a small donation to help a child in need, they want someone to blog about their Sh500 gift.
They never do anything just for their own sake, no, they want to be in all the blogs and the weekend entertainment papers. They are really annoying.
When they don’t get attention, they result to drastic actions, like picking a fight with just about anybody on Twitter or social media or trying to be as controversial as possible.

The Internet unforgivingly Trolls A Female Senator For Urging Coast Women To Go Topless In A Bid To Lure More Tourists

Her argument may sound like sheer absurdity but Nominated Senator, Emma Mbura, is dead serious about women going topless to attract more tourists to the Coast.

The Mombasa Senator went on screen to publicly defend her argument saying tourists used to throng the Coast region because they were drawn by tales of beautiful Mijikenda women dancing bare-chested.

senator.jpg

                      Hon. Emma Mbura

See the Video Citizen TV uploaded below:

{youtube}A1M6jUsPN44{/youtube}

Her argument however ignited a heated debate on social media with some internet users ruthlessly condemning her while others openly agreed with her argument.

Check out some of the comments posted on the next page:

Benard Wasikeh: So you were misquoted ? Coz we read somewhere that you were advocating for girls/ladies to walk naked in order to attract tourists !!

Praise Edwin: very true. but mweshimiwa you look great and beautiful

Jeremy Maluti: very true….keep it up….

Peterson Miring’u: what do you mean to show off their boobs?

Charles Nzaka: Mama U,d Rather Take The Lead Of a good example. If u cant, then import prostitute to reprent the mijikenda for its not their tradition.mahando, they are there alredy and men cant go back wearing mabonde for many are saved so they are seiking fo jesus traditional wear.

Hezron Owaka: Now you get to know the connection between tourism, prostitution, and other social vices at the coast… Women like these encouraging their young girls to go topless to attract tourists! How about encouraging your daughters to engage themselves in money generating activities that don’t involve nakedness, like normal jobs/businesses?

Michael Heery: beaches   ahahah

Karuitha II: I support her fully, its our culture and we should preserve it.

Petro Jenkins: What kind demented momma is she?

Michael Heery: is she hopeless

Qualityken1: she clearly does not deserve the tittle senator. Tourism at all costs including nudity? being creative e.g through music, environment, preserving wild life is a better idea mam.

Enock Ombima: Wewe huvaa aje

Ndurya N. Mwadzaya: As a Mijikenda I concur.

Collins Mwangangi: true hon.keep fire burning

James Adwera: Madam you know this you’re right

Dan Omwah: Good Move Thumbs Up!

Shanice Shan: I agree with you.point well noted.

Victor Bett: soldier on senator, we read on the same script! !..stick to culture.

Flex Mbwaga: It should start wth you ..infact if they see you naked they will come all.so be the frst one

Paul Murunga: but the tourist are already putting on like africans

Isabellah Nasomo: Hahaha it not possiblbe

Geoffrey Ombwochi: hiyo imepitwa na wakati

Rogers Kibagendi Obonyo: culture plays a key role in attracting tourists en traditional regallia is a component of culture.good idea Hon. take the maasai as a good example.

Kotec; Africa’s Largest Pocket-Friendly Online Shopping Mall is in Town

With the changing times driven by the constant emergence of new technologies, many aspects of our daily lives are now being made easier by various tech solutions; education, work, healthcare and even shopping. We now get to enjoy shopping from the comfort of our homes! With that in mind, almost everyone is opening a Kenyanized Amazon! Not making life easier in choosing where to shop from. This was my dilemma last week.

kotec_4.jpg

I wanted to buy a new phone; it’s about time I kiss my China phone goodbye. I needed a phone that wasn’t ridiculously expensive, but had good features. So I set on my search across the online shops while comparing prices. During my week long search, I stumbled upon Kotec Kenya, trust, all other digital shopping malls aside, Kotec is AMAZING! That’s the only one that befits it. The pricing was waaay below, which got me suspicious. Ridiculously cheap loosely translates to fake. I wasn’t about to waste money on fake ish. So I inquired about the genuine aspect of the shop.

kotec_2.jpg

This is what I found out about Kotec;

  • It actually offers shoppers a variety of genuine products from manufacturers, not only phones.
  • Has an unbeatable price- cheaper compared to the rest.
  • You’ll only pay for goods that you have received and are in well-condition
  • Deliveries across major cities in Kenya

Then the mighty happened, I got to meet the MD of Kotec, yesterday, Abdi Rashid, asked him numerous questions about Kotec, and why one should shop here than the rest of the online shops Kenya has, what makes it unique. In few direct words he said, “The idea of having a Kenyan owned online shopping portal that won’t over-charge clients but still manage to provide excellent products is a tough one, but Kotec loves challenges, we are therefore inviting our esteemed customers to try out our electronics, cookery, clothing, phones and tablets among other awesome products.”

kotec.jpg

Victoria Rubadiri Reveals The Mistakes Men Make When Approaching Her

Victoria Rubadiri is honestly one of the most attractive screen anchors this country has ever had, so one would expect that guys blow up her phone ALL the time.

We suppose she gets asked out all the time and guys come up to her and hit on her all the time. But as she reveals, this is not true. In fact she says that men are usually scared to approach her, probably intimidated by her exquisite looks.

They prefer to use their friends or colleagues to get Victoria paying attention to them something which she admits she does not like.

Neema_rubadiri.jpg

Ms Rubadiri says she would appreciate it if guys would simply walk up to her say hi, without using someone, she believes that if you are a serious contender, you should serious offer in a serious way.

{youtube}nXY7kd209VQ{/youtube}

And based on how you carry yourself while approaching her, she can decide where you can go from there. But don’t act shady, hitting he up with bad intentions such as a roll in the hay, she has her intuition up and will know when someone is up to no good.

Octopizzo Brags, Disses His Nemeses Again…And Dedicates The Song To The Late Fidel Odinga

As usual, each day we wake up to new beef, disses and bragging from our hip hop stars. Some say this is dangerous for our hip hop industry while others argue it is healthy for industry.

Well, there are two rappers who have taken the hip hop industry in Kenya to a totally different and new level: Octopizzo and Khaligraph Jones.

The two are known not to cook in the same pot thanks to the beef existing between them. Day in, day out the two diss each other, with their supremacy battles baffling many.

And now Octopizzo has done another jam which clear disses his nemesis.

Even though Octo does not mention anyone, his message is clear and straightforward. In the new jam, he reminds his nemeses that he is the king and that his game is too way better than theirs.

Octo blends the video with scenes from his tour in the UK and other parts of the world, showing his nemeses that he is capable of doing anything.

Here is the jam:

CABU GAH DIARIES: 10 More Kenyan Celebrities Who Were Kicked Out Of School. And Yes,Reasons Why They Were Expelled.

Yesterday I did a creative article on Kenyan celebs who were sent packing for being juvenile transgressors. And You loved it. We ain’t done. Not yet…

Episode One featured my muses Prezzo,Caroline N. Mutoko and Vanessa Chettle. I got more….High School expulsions were real. And they sucked. No one was exempt. Not even Your favorite celebrity’s favorite celebrity.

Ready? Let’s do this….

1. KALEKYE MUMO
Kalekye was once a little skinny girl in some little skinny school in Ukambani. But then her appetite kind of burgeoned in around her third year of school. Kalekye then started eating. And eating. And eating more…It was illegal to carry foodstuffs to school on the opening days. But Kalrkye wouldn’t hear none of that! She would break the law. Every opening day. But her days came to an abrupt end when one day, after a thorough search across school, her turn to be searched cane. Her bag was opened….And all hell broke loose! Out poured an avalanche of all manner of foodstuffs known to mankind. Among other unmentionable things,Kalekye had sneaked into her bag 3 kilos of blue band,14 loaves of bread,5 cartons of biscuits,a 3-litre juice bottle,1000 grams cocoa, peanut butter,a jam can,14 chapatis,a few maandazi,2 kilos of sugar,Royco, noodles,Zesta tomato sauce and 3 litres of extra cooking oil. “Umekuja kusoma ama kufungua hotel I??” Kalekye was famously asked.

2. MUTHONI DRUMMER QUEEN
Now,Muthoni was once a keen school girl before she bumped on an idea; Muthoni started organizing random music extravaganzas in her Dormitory. Students would cram in her Dorm to watch her and others girls perform during the weekends. Now,that’s was NOT the problem. Problem was; Muthoni would charge this girls. Not by taking their money, but their bread. She’d make sure that,to watch her and her crew perform, you’d either relinquish your weekend bread or wash her clothes. And then the authorities got wind of it…Muthoni was summoned. And promptly sent packing. Her high school events were called “Bedsheets and Bread” and that’s how she got the inspiration for “Blankets And Wine”. Smart girl.

3. DENNIS ITUMBI
Itumbi was a perennial law breaker. He featured in the schools black book so many times that the black book was eventually named after him. He was brilliant in drama, though. But horrible in class. Now,one day,Bwana Itumbi decided to experiment his very first hacking skills. And,by luck, managed to hack into the KNEC Headquarters. Yes,the guys who print exams! Itumbi cleverly managed to hack into the systems in which the Biology,Physics,Chemistry and Maths systems were stored. And managed to distribute the exact exam questions across his class two weeks BEFORE the exams! And when the boys finally sat for the papers, they all scored super impressive straight ‘As’ in all four subjects. Straight ‘As’! An investigation was launched. Itumbi’s name came up 77 times. He was promptly sent home. For 77 days!

4. RABBIT KAKA SUNGURA
First and foremost, I don’t understand how anyone would call themselves 3 names all belonging to ONE little animal. But first,we have to determine where the name originated from. Now,in school,Rabbit was known as Ken Ombimba. And he was a diligent, silent student who loved swahili and sleep. Now,Rabbit’s high school had an agriculture program where agriculture students would rear chicken, rabbits and cows. And one day, aided by three of his boys,Rabbit stole ALL the school rabbits. And stuffed them in his box in the dormitory. They were 50 rabbits in total. He later sneaked out to roast the little mammals at midnight. And,while roasting the third rabbit,Rabbit was busted. By the watchman. He was sent home for 2 months. And told to report back with the Minister of Agriculture. And 300 rabbits. Case closed.

5. KATHY KIUNA
Before Madam Kiuna got born again and became the earthy shattering preacher she now is,Kathy was just any other school girl. Naughty as hell. At first, she was punished lightly after been caught advising the form ones not to date boys from a certain school. And since she was the C.U leader, she was also reprimanded harshly for asking the students from Eastlands to sit at the far back end of the hall. But her expulsion came about when it was discovered that she had asked the whole C.U members of the school to contribute a hundred bob each to enable her to buy a bigger and better Bible. There were 500 C.U Members. And everyone contributed the 100 bob. She was therefore kicked out after it was determined that NO Bible would possibly cost Ksh.5,000 shillings. No bible.

6. ADELLE ONYANGO
Adelle is that smile-loving Kiss FM presenter with a billion piercings and ummm, never mind. Now,Adelle was never even a good girl,by the way. Besides her annoyingly laughing at absolutely nothing in class, she also had this tendency of dressing like a Kanye West fashion model on New York. She hated school uniforms. And hated lessons more. That wasn’t her crime though. Her crime was really actually silly. Somehow,it was rumored that someone had started a satanic cult across the school. And that girls had been seeing ghosts and hearing laughing voices all night. Adele was the first suspect…But after intense investigations,it was later revealed that Adelle wasn’t actually an agent of the Dark World. The ghosts the girls saw and the voices the girls heard actually belonged to Adelle. It was revealed that Adelle had a tendency of walking around school at midnight. Dressed like a witch. And laughing like one too. She still was sent home nonetheless. Poor Girl.

7. PASTOR KANYARI
Before he dropped out of school to focus on his budding preaching talents,Kanyari had been a keen student. Things had been going great until one day, someone broke into the laboratory. And some Chemistry chemicals went missing. Among them was some potassium permanganate. And some Bunsen burners. And 16 test tubes. A search was conducted…And all of those items were found in Kanyari’s box…secretly tucked among his underwears. He was sent home and asked to report back in two weeks with his mother. Unfortunately, he couldn’t report back to school in time. I mean, his preacher mother was in jail by then. And after her church was left unattended for weeks,Kijana Kanyari thought to himself,”Badala ya kukaa nyumbani ivi tu fuaaaaa,si niende nikaponye watu!?” And that’s how the 310 ministry began. Amen.

8. RISPER FAITH
Risper is that socialite who once featured in that very tawdry ‘Show Me’ music video by Blaqy. Her appearance in the video was a talking point for close to weeks. But before Risper was the butt-crack showing,cellulite-flashing video vixen she today is,Risper was a silent fat girl in some silent flat school. Until she earned her first suspension… For stealing underwears. And bras. And blouses. And shoes. And bedsheets. And books. Risper would steal your stuff. And then re-sell it to You…at a price cheaper than her morals. Shamelessly. She was eventually caught after trying to sell a pink bedcover to the headgirl. But in actual sense, the pink bedcover originally belonged to the school headgirl. It even had her name “Eunice Kanuthu” stitched at the corner. Risper, how smart of You girl!

9. RINGTONE
Ringtone’s still a little thug out here. Let’s face it! He drives a Range. And lives in Runda…or so,we are told. Ringtone was a good form one boy. And a brilliant form two boy too who, even though he was terribly poor in class, was not noisy. Or stubborn. But he wasn’t always happy with his horrendous performance in class….And,one day, after some serious temptation,Bwana Ringtone decided to copy his maths paper during the Mock Exams. It was successful. He copied the English paper,it was successful too. But while copying the C.R.E paper,The Lord got angry at him. And he ended up being caught. “How can You copy the word of God?” Was the first question he was asked. He was sent home. And came back three weeks later….Born again. And preaching. That explains his gospel music.

10. SHAFFIE WERU
Now Shaffie had always been on the school’s watch list. ALWAYS! He’d been in more scandals than 2 seasons of “SCANDAL”. He’d been sent home for drunkenness, violence, school riots and foul language a billion times. But his final expulsion happened after it was discovered that he had impregnated the Principal’s daughter. Who was 26 at the time. And Shaffie was 17. And all this happened after Shaffie had convinced the girl to organize 24 parties in 24 hours at her dad’s home. The Dad was the Principal who had traveled to Mombasa for a Headteachers Conference. The party was sick. Sicker than an Ebola victim. Shaffie admitted he was responsible for the pregnancy. And the wild parties. He was never sent home for good though…He was simply assimilated into the Principal’s home…as a son-in-law. Smart move.

Caroline Mutoko Advices On Raising A Boy Child…Did You Know Any Of These?

The boy child, according to many analysts, is an endangered species in Kenya after the girl child got more attention and care. This has led many to question what they feel is neglecting the boy child as the girl child is drawing more and more attention.

Well, this could explain why Caroline Mutoko, the Head of Marketing in Radio Africa Group and former Kiss 100 presenter, has jumped to the defence of the boy child and how he is brought up.

In her everyday you tube channel section, Caroline advices on how a boy child should be brought, the necessary things that parents should do to ensure that they grow in the right way.

Caroline says that unlike the girl child, a boy child should be brought up a bit differently.

She says that  a boy child is a bit more complicated in his development and that he should be allowed to be a bit complicated when growing up.

Caroline adds that:

Jaguar Causes A Stir In The Streets Of Nairobi Again! (Photo)

The philanthropic singer is surely a man of the people. The way Nairobians scramble to have a piece of him when he surfaced in the street will convince any doubting Thomas that Jaguar is the biggest deal in the entertainment circle.

It’s not the first time Jaguar is making heads turn in the streets, he commands a huge diverse following that has always thronged him whenever wherever.

This time round, the ‘Huu Mwaka’ hit maker made motorists ‘curse’ him as he caused traffic to come to a halt when he stopped his posh British-made Jaguar (the car) on the road to show some love to his fans.

The excited enthusiasts grappled to greet the singer who humbled himself to receive the rare admired appreciation.

Apart from just greeting him, the fans were also stunned by his classy ride. Jaguar owns a collection of high-end European made vehicles that steal the glamor on the roads.

Revealed: Wanja Kavengi, A Ghost, Worked For Capital FM…But Who Paid Her? How Was She Paid?

The social media world was taken aback by the revelation that one of Facebook’s most accomplished writers and former Capital FM columnist Wanja Kavengi was, in fact, a parody account and Wanja Kavengi herself never existed.

Many had fallen for this girl, Wanja Kavengi’s writing prowess. She could litter the social media with captivating stories that drew wonderful reactions from the thrilled audience.

Funny enough, I was an ardent follower of Wanja Kavengi’s stories. I remember at some point my friend Etemesi, who is himself an ardent writer, tried reaching out to Wanja through facebook after being moved by her articles and of course her photos that attracted team mafisi and genuine wooers alike.

The revelation that Wanja Kavengi never existed and that the attractive photos we so craved to have as our wallpapers actually belonged to an American fashion blogger who goes by the name Iesha left me and many of her ardent followers totally heartbroken.

iesha

Iesha, an American fashion blogger whose photos were used as Wanja Kavengi’s

But as we feel duped and heavily tackled by this new revelations, Capital FM must be feeling the real pain after doing business with a ghost who actually never existed.

Wanja Kavengi’s writing skills prompted the media house to hire her to write for their blog. Ardent readers vividly remember the column Wanja’s Wall on Capital FM blog where Kavengi did what she knows best.

Well, after the revelation, Capital FM has since deleted the articles Wanja Kavengi wrote for them. But that does not mean we stop asking how Wanja landed a job with capital, one of the oldest FM radio stations in the country.

How did Capital FM reach out to Wanja Kavengi? Did they meet one on one? Did they know Wanja Kavengi was a parody account? Did they know Wanja Kavengi never existed? How did they pay Wanja Kavengi? Through cheque? M-Pesa? Western Union? How?

As the readers world is disappointed that one of the best writers actually never existed, these questions will linger on and on as we seek for answers.

Capital FM has since deleted Wanja’s articles.

Ghafla Kenya contacted Capital FM for comment over the same and all they could do was deny that Wanja ever wrote for them.

Here Is Jose Chameloene’s Moving Tribute To His Fallen Celebrity Brother, Emmanuel Mayanja aka AK47

Even though death is the epitome of pain, Jose Chameleone has garnered the little strength left in him to pen a heartfelt tribute to his deceased brother.

Emmanuel Mayanja Hummertone popularly known as AK47 reportedly died on Monday night at a Ugandan hospital after falling in a bathroom.

The incident left East Africa’s richest musician in deep sorrow as he couldn’t believe how his healthy brother passed on unexpectedly.

Chameleone who has briefly relocated to Kenya to participate in East Africa’s biggest reality show, Maisha Superstar, penned a moving tribute to AK24 revealing the pain he feels and how deeply he misses him.

Below is what he wrote:

Hard to express how I feel. I will miss you my Brother and Friend. Until we meet again. May the Almighty God and His Angels keep your soul in Eternal Peace. AK47 you are gone too soon

I can’t say that you are gone, Although it’s painful that I will never see you again, My Brother AK47 We shall meet Again. Thankful to God for your life. All your friends are already missing you.RIP

Kenyans React To The Death Of “Wanja Kavengi”

Shame on me! I had even put her up last year as the much coveted “Ghafla Girl”-much to my shock and the chagrin of my peers. she has never existed. We imagined her, the girl that gave me that number that I held dear as Wanja’s was probably an inmate at the kamiti prisons who had a knack for good writing!

Yesterday, it was disheartening to read Heartbreaking: Popular Social Media Queen Passes On. But I was not the only one who was shocked! the “interwebs”-like Wanja (who never was) loved to call the internet was literally taken aback!

Todays #WCW And Fashion Blogger Of The Day, Diana Machira! (photos)

I secretly read her blog under the cover of my sheets, much the same way I listen to Taylor Swift as I enjoy the thrills of solitude! This lady here, good people, Is the cream of the cake as far as fashion blogging is concerned! If I was  not vouching for Silvia Njoki,Sharon Mundia or Joy Kendi, then my heart-felt adoration  goes to one of the prettiest fashion bloggers in the country (drumrolls) Diana Machira of Denim and Cateye

A mentor of Mine, Roy, the general manager at Kengeles Restaurant once told me ‘The most captivating aspect of a fashion blog is the visual aspect’ -ever since, I have had a propensity for colorful, well written and impeccable fashion blogs, Denim and Cateye has to take the prize as one of the best written fashion blogs of our generation. -The impeccable writing is laced and thoroughly embellished with unparalleled artistry, curves and love! The little things that fairy books record “…It is the little things we do, the little flowers, the cashmere scarves (and probably lasagna) that make the most impact on life as we know it.

Asked on what inspires her, Diana says :”… Well, simply put, my sense of style is basically a balance between timelessness,  classic basics and unique trendier pieces, hence “Denim” and “Cateye”.

Here are the most Memorable Fashion Moments of our #WCW Diana Machira.

Facebook’s CEO Donates About 92 Million Kshs To Kenya And Uganda

Launched in 2004 by a college dropout and his colleagues, Facebook has become one of the biggest sites in the world.

And at the age of 23, Mark Elliot Zuckerberg became a dollar billionaire and was even listed by Time magazine among the 100 wealthiest and most influential people in the world.

Following in the footsteps of other techies such as Bill Gates who have made it to the big leagues, Mark is giving back, 10 Million Dollars to be precise to Bridge International Academies.

This is what he shared on his site yesterday:

As part of Priscilla and my ongoing work to support education, we’re excited to invest $10 million in Bridge International Academies to support their innovative education program in Africa.

Since 2009, Bridge has created a network of more than 400 primary and pre-primary schools in Kenya and Uganda that serve more than 100,000 students. At Bridge schools, students can receive a high quality education for extremely low cost, with many students coming from families earning less than $2 a day.

The way Bridge delivers this is by using technology. At Bridge schools, teachers and students use tablet computers connected to the internet to receive lesson plans and classroom content from Bridge’s master teachers. These teachers also track student test scores, and then use this data to quickly refine learning materials and send these back to classrooms. This rapid feedback loop means that education content is always getting better and students don’t need to constantly purchase new books, which is too expensive for most families to afford.

Bridge has built a really impressive model for managing and expanding their schools. They’re already trained around 10,000 teachers from local communities, and on average a new academy is opening every three days. In the next 5 years they expect to have more than one million students. This investment will help Bridge to scale their model to more students in more countries, and I’m excited to join Bill Gates and others in supporting this.

Education is a powerful force for lifting up people and societies. I’m hopeful this investment will create incredible change in many communities. You can learn more at http://www.bridgeinternationalacademies.com/

The sultry Jacque Maribe has come out to clear the air about her relationship with the Director of Digital Communication in the Office of the President, Dennis Itumbi.

Early last month, the internet smeared dung on the well-manicured personality of Citizen TV’s political affairs reporter, Jacque Maribe, when she was seen with Dennis Itumbi enjoying themselves.

The incident sparked a heated grapevine suggesting that the two were lovebirds. But the truth straight from the horse’s mouth has finally arrived. Jacque has ultimately shed light on the February episode that maimed her reputation.

While wishing Dennis Itumbi a happy birthday, Jacque highlighted the relationship she shares with the president’s frontman on digital platform.

She categorically made it known that Dennis was her long-time friend revealing rumours that flooded the internet didn’t dislodge their well cultivated friendship.

So forget the gossip, Jacque and Dennis are ONLY friends. Before I forget, the entire Ghafla! crew also wishes Dennis a happy birthday. May he live long to fulfil his dreams on earth!

    Below is what she wrote:

Kenyan-Sudanese Rapper Speaks Out After He Was Allegedly Banned From Popular Airline after He Threatened To Eat the Air Hostess

Emmanuel Jal is known to many as a former child solider in the war -torn region of Southern Sudan who traded his gun for a microphone.

After leaving South Sudan, Emmanuel settled for sometime in Kenya before relocating to Canada. Despite him being miles away he still calls Kenya his home. News from a blog reached us that the rapper has been banned from WestJet flights. Here is an excerpt from the blog

“South Sudanese Canadian and former child-soldier Emmanuel Jal has been banned for life from boarding WestJet flights after he claimed he had a ‘license to eat humans’ and threatened to ‘eat’ a member of the crew mid-flight if he was not given more food.”

However Emmanuel has come to rubbish these claims saying that:

    jal_em.jpg

“This is crazy is this true or somebody is Joking I have been ban for life to fly west jet, we were having fun with each other on the plane were i crake a joke that i have a license to eat humans if i dont get a sandwitch one of the hostees said she is ginger beef so I can start with her and we all laugh loud read the article”

As You Worry About Lunch Money, An Italian Designer Is At The Serena, Selling Suits For KSH 700,000. And This Is Why I Bought Mine!(photos)

I am  about to introduce to you, ladies and gentlemen, Angelo Petrucci, Chief Master Tailor for Brioni globally. He tailors designer suits. He has fitted 38 presidents, Hollywood stars, footballers and anyone who doesn’t care about cost but appreciates luxury. He landed yesterday -courtesy of Little Red- to fit Kenya’s VVIP and anyone who can pay Sh 700,000 for a suit without feeling dizzy. But that is not all.

For the next three days,a twaddle of very important men  will walk into Serena to have their sizes taken for their bespoke suits. They will l choose from 20 shades of blue then they will go through the linings and then choose from 200 different types of buttons then spend another 30mins talking about the collar. 30 rigorous minutes  discussing a bloody collar! He will then from his obviously fat bank account pay   a hefty amount few shillings shy of a million to have a suit delivered to him in a month or so!

Angelo, the suits connoisseur, will then use about 7000 stitches back in Italy to make his suit by hand which he will hand to him in 5 weeks time. Angelo Petrucci boats, “Brioni does not tailor suits per se, we make a second skin”.

It will be mind blowing to see the who is who walk down to the Serena to have a taste of Brioni’s Haute Couture-

Brioni suits are worn by Pierce Brosnan in all of his Bond movies and by Daniel Craig in Casino Royale. Brioni, a famous Italian bespoke house, was introduced to Bond by costume designer Lindy Hemming in the movie GoldenEye. In the book Dressed to Kill – James Bond The Suited Hero, Lindy Hemming explains that she wanted a company capable of tailoring in the Savile Row manner, and – because of GoldenEye’s tight shooting schedule – could produce a lot of suits very quickly. She also wanted something that that was sheer luxury, unmistakably synonymous with expensiveness.

I have no idea why this has made such a fuss especially now that I know that Victor Maina can make suit quite as good. But it is all in the mind. Look at the stars who’ve won these suits! The exciting thing is that the suit will have your name on it.

Have a look at the suits :

KOT Trolls Vera Sidika Badly After She Calls Herself “A white Girl”

No one takes kindly, vile  delusions of grandeur. It happened that in one moment of intoxication, Vera Sidika, the curvy bleaching socialite called herself white!A white girl! The nerve!  That is when Poseidon, the god of the underground let hell loose. Common with delusional people, “..They  believe they have made some important discovery that others don’t understand or appreciate. Our sister here went from being delusional to being Narcissistic. Kenyans On twitter have no liking for self centered people. This is what happened.

While partying at Malysia, where huddah was hosting a party a fortnight ago, she shared a photo of  herself swigging liquour straight from a bottle, no class, just plain “straight-from-the-bottle kind of ratchet” -she went on to tell her legion of admirers and haters, how higher than the moon she was feeling. “She ended her instagram debacle with the scathing hash tag #Whitegirlwasted

18th March 2015:Ten Things You Should Know This Morning

It’s a beautiful Wednesday morning in Nairobi City. Yesterday, the social media lost one of its prolific contributors, Wanja Kavengi. She wasn’t real after all, she was just a creation of anonymous person. What a trick! Crossing over to trendy items, below are the exciting stories we have for you this morning:

Jaw On The Floor! You Wont Believe Who This Is! (photo)

Going though campus I have always found myself classifying women on the degree of whether they look like wife materials or not. The pretty ones, those who dress skimpily fell on the category of girlfriends. The only good thing that they are good for is the girl friend. They just don’t look tamable enough to be wifed.

Tero mdee, former STR8 up live host has changed from that non-wifable girl to the wife material type. The change, has been, for lack of another word been stupefying!

Check the before and after photo of her!

Heartbreaking: Popular Social Media Queen Passes On.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of one of the most prolific contributor on social media, Wanja Kavengi. A  beauty to behold that had for years been the subject of adoration to many a man and envy to an equal number of lasses. She had everything conceivable. She was a darn good writer, she was pretty “yellow” yellow”- in some of her posts, she would jokingly say, I’m half Italian and half Kenyan, Ole! Ole! That, ladies and gentlemen, never existed.

The popular Wanja Kavengi Was a parody account probably run by an 80 year old man dealing with  identity crisis. Facebook, where most of her activity was, is scandalised. Everyone at  our office loved her, her writing was impeccable! She had a way with words that was simply beyond awesome! I had a thing for her, I remember talking to her severally on social media about the things she wrote and her  little blog that she had started when her facebook account garnered quite a following. Her blog “A Horrible Little Blog Full Of Little Horribilities” has like her gone missing. I talked to her on December 23 last year, she disclosed that she was contemplating leaving Facebook to concentrate on “work related issues”

How someone managed to run a parody account for 5 years  is still a mystery. It had proper real life characters, Max, her son was the perfect child with curly hair and the looks of a hollywood star.Wanja Kavengi even had BFF’s like Givens Mideva, a girl who has since gone missing. Her number, 0707 ***682 seems to have gone off, the “no longer in service” kind of off.

I have before this post today defended her spiritedly only to be counted with hard facts. Wanja Kavengi never existed. She was never there. The spicy, rosy posts that you had learnt to love, her lifestyle and hunk son were all made up! She was never there. Breath in  and let it sink. Those photos that you used  for your voyeuristic escapades belong to an Italian Fashion blogger, Ieasha    best known as “panky pops”

She probably deactivated her account after realising that “her” time was almost up. She took heel and ran the hills. whoever it was is probably picking their scars laughing at the joke that this has turned out to be.

    Honestly,This is not Funny!

Here are some of her photos.
