For All Her Elegance and Posturing, Akothee Can Really Get Down And Shake Her Fundamentols (Video)

She’s just on a whole new level when it comes to bragging and mogul posturing. I am talking about the self declared richest singer in the country Akothee.

Her self assuredness and elegant self and the flamboyant lifestyle belie a person with a great potential for energetic performances. She got invited to the Churchill show yesterday and put up a great thrilling show shaking her potent bam bam like nobody’s business to the exhilaration of the crowd. Here is the video of the petite lady doing it as only a lady from the Lake side can.

” Sanaipei Tande’s Thighs Are Juicier than a Carton of Minute Maid ” Kenyan Radio Presenter Confesses

Sanaipei Tande has certainly come a long way from her days as a member of SEMA.

While her fellow pop stars’ careers in music crushed and burned, Sana soared and is currently going strong in the industry.

She sent the thirst levels soaring high in ‘Mfalme Wa Mapenzi’ and she certainly didn’t disappoint in her new ‘Rastaman’ video where her thighs took centre stage.

And as it turns out, you are not the only one fascinated by Sana’s thighs. Jeremy Odhiambo a.k.a Saliva Vic who works for 2 F.M had this to say about her ‘Rastaman’ video

“Sana set the thirst trap & I got caught in it! Lawd! Her thighs are juicier than a carton of Minute Maid bruh” he wrote.

Watch Diamond’s Grand Entry Back Home…He Truly Is A National Treasure

Diamond Platinumz is Tanzania’s national treasure going by the love they show him. Our insanely patriotic neighbors may be in an election mode but not even their leading politicians can attract such a following by just arriving from a trip abroad.

Such is his following he has been used to pull up crowd in political rallies. The average Tanzanian may not be aware of the significance of, leave alone the titles of the various awards Diamond bagged. There were no fancy vehicles and state head honchos akin to our athletes’ reception. The love and crowds that thronged the airport and followed through convey a love that should see Diamond Platinumz maintain his position at the top of the food chain in these region. Kenya’s Richest Female Singer Steps Out In Style At The Churchill Show (Photos)

Akothee is known to many as the richest female singer in Kenya, and she certainly lives up to the hype.

She enjoys life on the fast lane, jetting in and out of places in a helicopter, shooting videos worth over 1 million and spending a gross amount of money on state of the arts cars. And she says that she can afford this kind of a life because she is a reputable farmer, a C.E.O Akothee Properties and Akothee Safaris and a Director at Morningstardiani.com and owns apartments and villas all over the country.

The mother of five stunned many when she made her way to the Churchill show when she showed up in this outfit that compromised of a black-skater dress with sheer sleeves, loop earrings and platform heels. She topped off the look with red matte lipstick

Why Jamaican Reggae Sensation Morgan Heritage Is Still In the Country

Reggae sensation Morgan Heritage performed about two weeks ago at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre in a sold out concert that saw musicians such as Avril and Wangechi take to the stage.

During the concert, Gramps Morgan revealed that Kenya felt like a second home asking Uhuru and Kenyans to treat them as secondary citizens of Kenya.

He then added that he would like very much to spend more time in our country maybe for one or two more weeks.

And they have stayed on. Apart from visit, the group will be performing at the Miss World Kenya 2015 Gala Dinner at the Weston Hotel. Tickets are 8,000/= inclusive of dinner & concert.

Weston Hotel made this announcement on social media “We host the grandest of events and tomorrow we will be hosting Morgan Heritage at the Miss World Kenya 2015 Gala Dinner………Dining with us is dining with the cream of our society.”

“You Have Been Blessed With Everything except A Husband” Fan Tells the Gorgeous Sheila Mwanyigha

Nowadays criticizing a celebrity on their fan page is akin to ‘blasphemy ‘and you and you ‘negative energy’ will be whisked away with insults and severe passionate backlash from their fans.

So it came as a shock to many when a certain fan of Sheila Mwanyigha came out to criticize her for not giving a husband.

“#‎RiseAndShine. No good thing has He kept from me!#‎HelloFriday” a cheery Sheila wrote.

sheilahot.jpg

But one Martins Kingsley Nkozi decided to burst her bubble by writing this reply “……except a husband. Sheila, I wish you knew how sweet and fulfilling marriage and babies can be. Forget the millions you make every year and the clothes and friends you mingle with. A man in your life and kids to boost, fulfils every part of your body then you age gracefully ever after. Mmmmmm…think about it my daughter. Take my statement positively. We love you.”

His intentions may have been kind , but others did not think so:

Scholar Scholar and how does that concern you Martin that’s her choice

Joseph Wilshere U talk too much

Esther Mukami Gods time is the best…don’t rush her,if its meant to happen it will.Am sure she knows what she wants…that’s more important. Marriage doesnt guarantee happiness #just saying

Pauline Muchiri Nonsense!!!!!…story ya bwana imetokea wapi hapa….Sheila ….God is the 1 who gives a gud. Haby…n God’s tyme is the best….sooooo pple ought tu mind their f***** bizness bulshit!!!

In all fairness, I don’t think we should go in on women however good naturedly when they are not married because .1. Maybe marriage and children are not what she desires and 2, Marriage and children is not something you go pick out at a store, they are things beyond her control

Check Out Vanessa Chettle’s Brand New Boyfriend! (photos)

The weather for making babies is almost nigh; save for a few disappointments from the weather people who never seem to get anything right these days. Saying goodbye to the lonely cold weather is party girl, Vanessa Chettle.

Vanessa came to infamy a few year ago with tall tales told of her escapades with Kenyan celebrities, but as soon as it stopped, it started again, this time however it was her romantic trysts with her mzungu boyfriend (quite an old guy by the way) who was allegedly sponsoring her spendthrift habits in exchange of dipping his wrinkled hand in her honey-pot.

But in such harsh Nairobi conditions , you understand that a girl got make money, by all means.

After a distasteful separation with her Mzungu “snookums” Vanessa chose quite an unexpected career path. She started singing! Socrates, that famous literati said in one of his works “Love maketh a man a poet..” Her heartbreak made her a songstress: which saw the birth of “I hate… ”

I hate the breakups, I hate the heartaches

I might forgive you but  I wont forget…

[sic]

She then starts rapping about being young and drunk and some other unintelligible things about Johnie walker. Just like Pierra Makena, she should just open a kiosk and stop singing.

Now, to the matters of the day, Vanessa, we are told is currently having a thing with producer  Sappy… who shared this info on his social media saying/;

Kwa mwendo huu tutafanya kazi kweli? [sic]

Vanessa-chettle.jpeg

Vanessa-Chettle1.jpeg

Maybe Vanessa is just being cute and sweet like she always is, but for Sappy, it seems like he has his hand deep down the cookie jar.

Octopizzo New Project After A Long Tour Abroad…He Has Something For Women

Kenya’s premier rapper, Octopizzo is not taking a rest after a whirlwind tour abroad. He has a new project and it is focusing on women.

This morning will find the top hip hop artist in Kenya in Moi Stadium in Kisumu kick starting a campaign to address violence against women.  Octopizzo is an ambassador for the Addressing Violence Against Women And Girls Through Football program. On his new task, the rapper had this to say;

“We have an abundance of rape and violence against women in this country and on this Earth, though it’s almost never treated as a civil rights or human rights issue, or a crisis, or even a pattern. Violence doesn’t have a race, a class, a religion, or a nationality, but it does have a gender.
Join me today from 10am at Moi Sports Kisumu as we launch the Stop VAWG programme.”

As his fellow rappers seem to lose their act, this guy finds new ways of reaching greater heights and re-inventing himself.

These Wazungus Will Never Learn, Now Another White Man Loses All His Property, Kids And Faces Deportation At The Hands Of A Kenyan Woman

The rate at which white men are losing their investments at the hands of their Kenyan female partners is laughable even with the sad nature of some of the stories.

Hot on the heels of the recent case where one such victim took to Facebook to shame his partner and narrate his trials, it now emerges that another man could be deported having been charged with being in the country illegally and could lose his property and two kids to his Kenyan wife.

In a story carried by one of the leading dailies, Mr. John Eugene Bennet, an American narrated his ordeal at the hands of his wife one Karungari Gacoki Murigu. The wife along with her mother and sister has contrived to deny him access to their children a four year old boy and an 8 month old daughter. Having rather foolishly registered all their property and his bank account under the wife’s name, Mr.Bennet has been left with limited means of income and even at the court begged to factor in his plight when setting the bail. He still faces divoce proceeding at another court.

The question is why these white men never seem to learn from the ordeals of others in previous circumstances. The cases keep on piling and they keep on being shown up as naive if not foolish people.

‘An Idiot With Verbal Diarrhea And terrible Legal Asset’ What Uhuru’s Foremost Defender, Tony Gachoka Thinks of Moses Kuria

On Wednesday, political strategist and straight shooting Tonny Gachoka was on Jeff Koinange Live and as usual he brought with him his firebrand self.

The strategist well known for his defense of the President Uhuru Kenyatta was taking no prisoners as he discussed the troubled waters the ruling coalition has found itself in. However, it was his response and character analysis of MP Moses Kuria that topped the highlights both for its hilariousness and sting.

Tonny Gachoka wasted no opportunity branding the MP as an idiot who forgets what they did yesterday, a terrible legal asset for the DP and someone who suffers from verbal diarrhea.  He said Moses Kuria suffers from a condition of idiocy and perhaps has a career in entertainment. Catch the two sections of the interview below;

Brenda Wairimu Passes On Chance To Bag $10,000 And and International Acting Contract

Yesterday, Brenda Wairimu was poised for the final round of the Top Africa Actor auditions, now it has eerged that she will not be taking part in the prestigious competition.

Having seen off stiff completion from local and continental acting veterans and new comers, Brenda received a call to take part in the final step which would have decided the 12 participants to get into the reality acting challenge show. At stake was a bumper prize of $10,000 and as one year contract with an international acting agency. However, miscommunication on the part of the organizers has seen the beautiful actress forfeit her chance. While she had banked on doing the auditions online, a last minute change saw all participants being required to be physically presents at the Johannesberg Urban Brew Studios. On such a short notice, the new mother who had been excited for the opportunity had no option but forfeit the chance and she explained to her fans the reasons…

“Sadly guys, due to miscommunication, the auditions for @BET_Africa #TopActor that were to be online now have to be physically attended in Joburg tomorrow, it’s next to impossible for me to make the trip on one day notice. I will therefore have to forfeit my spot in the 2nd round of auditions. Thank you guys still for all the support,”

Ouch! That sure hurt but thankfully there is always a next time and more opportunities

Beautiful Dad And Daughter Moment! Even Hardcore Rastamen Like Deejay Kalonje Have Soft Spot

There are a few amazing moments than seeing a dad spend time with his young daughter.

The dotting and admiration is so symbiotic and touching then the conventional maternal care which is more duty bound and expected. Thus when the person providing such a moemnt is all macho and known more for his prowess on the wheels of steel, it is even more amazing. Last weekend , DJ Kalonje and was out with the daughter on a skating experience in a bonding moment and he managed to get some moments captured on camera along witha touching message for his little princess.

A Raging Fire Chars The Famous “Hall 10” At The University Of Nairobi. (photos)

A raging fire broke out at the University of Nairobi hall 10 half an hour ago.  Earlier reports indicated that some students might have been trapped inside. The reports have not been confirmed.

The University of Nairobi however issued a statement on the same saying: The fire started in one room and spread out to three other rooms. A fire broke out in Hall 10 at 9.30 am & was put out within 30 minutes. [sic]

Other reports from students indicate that a student might have left a pot unattended while cooking. We all know that can cause fires, don’t we?

Check out images from the incident.

TBT Video of the day Ricky na Marafiki’s Dufa Mpararo

Ricky na Marafiki are without a doubt one of the most underrated band in the country.  Thankfully, this has not affected the simple and intriguing way they make their music.

A classic example is my choice for TBT today. I first hear this song sometime in 2013 and just found out they had done the video this year in January. The easy mood of the song with the tempo and joyful guitar play takes one back to the golden oldies era.

This is a perfect backdrop for the story being told, the adventures of childhood especially the ‘Dufa mpararo’ which if you never engaged in you must have had a dull childhood. The video captures this aptly trailing a kid sent on an errand that get diverted by a friend to embark on a journey that sees them go through Eastlands hoods, Buruburu Jericho following the train tracks, playing bano, making toys etc.

All these with the perfect sound track, enjoy the video below and hopefully you travel down memory lane too.

#TBT Check Out Just How Cheap Booze Was In The 80’s

It is that time of the week when it is socially acceptable to jump into your time machine and cruise back in time fam.

The 1980’s we are told, was the best time to be alive. The fashion, the hair and the life- as a matter of fact- the ’80s gave us most of what is today’s fashion or retro fashion, the parachute pants, the member’s only jackets, over-sized tops and more.

But that was not the story of the day.

Check below how cheap booze was back in the day

 And clothes were cheap too!

After ‘Twilight’ and ‘House’, Kenyan Actor Lands a Role in NBC’s ‘Blacklist’

Edi Gathegi has had a successful run in Hollywood with roles in teen-sensation ‘Twilight’, ‘ X-Men: First Class’ medical drama ‘House’ and now you should expect him in the 3rd season of Blacklist.

Entertainment Weekly reveals that, Edi has landed a recurring role on the The Blacklist as Mr. Solomon.

the-blacklist-season-3-edi-gathegi.jpg

Edi as as Mr. Solomon.

E.W reports that, Mr. Solomon is  a man ‘who essentially handles the dirty work for the Cabal. Unassuming and soft-spoken on the surface, with a hidden (and terrifying) capacity for violence, Mr. Solomon is a monster in gentleman’s clothing.’

Hmm…sounds like an interesting character, I can’t wait to tune in!

Juliani Slams Top Politicians for Their Selfishness and Neglecting PEV Victims

Running battles with the police in the slums, violent deaths, crucifixion, burning and looting were some of the scenes witnessed during Kenyans Post Election violence.

Violence so vile, that it left the country momentarily in a deadly, hopeless trance while the economy experienced unstirring paralysis.

Koffi Anan then intervened as a mediator and after negotiations there was signing of a power-sharing agreement. The political perpetrators of the violence were able to move on with their lives after that.

But those who had been displaced by the violence have not, others maimed by the violence have not been compensated and that was Juliani’s grievance yesterday.

“Who fixed her? What about her? Do We even know her name? Who prayed for her? #PEV victim.” he wrote

H_art The Band’s Wachira Gatama Introduces His Family…The Dreadlocks Run In The Family (Photo)

Aside from their amazing songs, their journey to success and place they call home, H_art the band have kept much of their lives pretty wrapped up.

It is not a bad idea especially in the wildly scandalous showbiz scene. However, it was refreshing to see, Wachira Gatimu step out of the norm and at least introduce his family, Dad, Mum and Sister to the public even if it was only through social media. The family sure has a thing for locks save for the clean shaven dad who Gatimu informs is a rasta inside. Here are the beautiful photos of the family

Nope! Robert Alai, Churchill and Jeff Koinange Are Not the Most Influential Kenyans. Ipsos Synovate Distances Itself from Top 20 Influential Kenyans List

A few days ago a list of ‘The Most Influential Kenyans’ made rounds on social media. Influential beings such as Margaret Kenyatta, Francis Atwoli, Robert Alai, Mwalimu Churchill and even Jeff Koinange were named in the prestigious list.

But as it turns out, the list was a sham as Ipsos came out to distance itself from the list

Part of the report read “I refer to the alleged Ipsos false posting titled” Top 20 most influential Kenyans”

ipsos.jpg

It then continues with “The above named report is fabricated. Ipsos did not at any given time commission any such survey; neither did we release any such findings as has been falsely reported.

Ipsos will therefore not be responsible for any liability following conversation from the false press release.”

Worthy Comparison: Between Janet Mbugua And Betty Kyalo Which Wedding Rocked? Here is Our Take.

The spell-binding weddings happened this year with months between them.

First, it was Janet Mbugua, we fell in love with their love story mind-spinnigly, her love story with banker husband, Eddie Ndichu seemed to have stemmed from the very mountains of Greece (where the legend has it that you can find Aphrodite, the god of love).

Betty Kyallo came soon with her man, Dennis Okari in tow. I hear they now call her “Betty Kyallo Okari”  Their wedding of a few days ago was awe-inspiring and and all levels of  spell-binding.

Now lets do a subtle comparison between the Ndichu’s and the Okari’s – Who rocked?

The Mbugua’s:

{igallery id=736|cid=3068|pid=1|type=category|children=0|addlinks=0|tags=|limit=0}

Janet’s Wedding was at the Chaka Ranch, an invite only affair that saw top-tier Kenyans grace the event, the wedding ceremony was was so tight that our photographer (who was invited) had his camera confiscated and all the photos he had taken deleted by burly bouncers at the wedding. Janet wore a startling white gown that later got her trolled on social media (that her twins looked sleepy and had drooped) Her Man was the star of the show in  a perfectly fitting tuxedo, slip-on’s without socks and sun glasses. (see photos in the slider above) They didn’t fly out for honey moon and choose instead, to stay in and promote local tourism. How cute!

Let’s look at the Okari’s now, shall we?

The wedding was held in Karen, a garden wedding just like Janet’s.  It was private and only the invited elite and celebrities got invitation, unlike the Ndichu’s people took photos. The couple was not as flashy save for Jaguar’s ferrying  the bevy to the venue.

See below photos of their wedding:

{igallery id=8965|cid=3069|pid=1|type=category|children=0|addlinks=0|tags=|limit=0}

The Okari’s left  for Diani after their wedding spent a night before flying out for exotic destinations abroad.

In comparison, Janet Mbugua’s wedding was  the wedding of the year, save for a few glitches. Even with all the honey moon photos and the stories to go with it, The Okari’s havent rocked the airwaves for more than a week.

The trophy therefore goes to Janet and Eddie!

Shock As Donald Trump Responds To Kenyan Writer Who Dissed Him

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is a very angry man. In a surprise move, the cocky billionaire has come out hitting hard at Kenyan writer Philip Etemesi by telling him he should stick to giving relationship advice and criticizing celebrities instead of sticking his head into American matters

“Politics is a place for well-reasoned, balanced arguments, and not for vitriol-laden diatribes aimed at relieving the angry individual’s emotional angst”, Mr,Trump told Fox News Journalist Billy O’Reilly in an exclusive phone call

“What does Etemesi even know about America? That guy is just an egomaniacal writer who likes making outlandish statements just to sell his brand. I could slap him a hundred times”

Well all this comes after Etemesi, who is known for his controversial articles and explicit tales wrote a 2000 word article calling Mr. Trump an ugly white supremacist who should hire an editor to refine his nauseating speeches. He added that Mr. Trump was full of attitude but devoid of character. In a special article for the New York Times, Mr. Etemesi launched a flurry of vitriol and shade targeted at the presidential candidate by saying:

“I sent this article to the New York Times, I didn’t think they would be publish it but they did. I heard that this fool Trump dissed Kenyans but then I realized it was just a rumor. It doesn’t matter, I hate him anyway. I could shag his wife and marry his daughter without paying dowry and there’s nothing he’ll do about it. By any objective standard, Donald Trump has been trying to torpedo his presidential candidacy since Day One. However, incendiary statement after incendiary statement has done nothing but bolster him among the right-wing brainwashed crazies. And that makes me sick. Maybe America needs another Kenyan to be their president “

Meanwhile, Etemesi is earning praise from his countrymen and fellow Africans as well for having balls bigger than Corazon Kwamboka’s butt.

‘Etemesi Is The Man’, wrote a Kenyan newspaper.

Let’s just see how this drama will unfold. Never in our wildest imaginations did we ever think that an American politician would address a Kenyan critic. This is huge

Its A Season Of Celebrity Birthdays, See Kaytrixx’s Heartfelt Wish to His Wife

It has been a season of celebrity birthdays from the beginning of the month. Most celebrities and their spouses marked the occasion from late last month and several others in the past few days.

The likes of Jaguar, Nonini and Wilbroda have celebrated theirs with Jua Cali spoiling the spouse earlier this week. Well Today, Kaytrixx is celebrating his beautiful wife’s birthday and mother of his twins. He took to social media to mark the occasion with this heartfelt message to his wife Sue Masati;

I would like to wish my wife aka Mama Teddy and Tobby aka mama Twins aka mama Boys aka mzungu an awesome birthday. They say behind every man there is a woman doing her thing behind the scenes. Thanks for being there for me through thick and thin. Thanks for taking care of our family. God knows what we have been through and You have been there for me throughout. Nasema ni Asante.

I can only do so much, hayo mengine nimeachia Mungu.

God bless you.

Happy Birthday.

Hepa Msoto Mapema

There’s something many young people like me don’t realize. Life has always been biased in our favor. Younger athletes are preferred over their older counterparts while successful young entrepreneurs such as Mark Zuckerberg and Evan Spiegel are more adored than the seventy year old billionaires. Even intellectually stimulating games that require focus and experience such as Chess seem to favor younger competitors than grandmasters.

Now add financial planning to that growing list and we have a crucial issue to discuss. The general perception is that financial planning is something that should be reserved for older adults who are probably in their 40s – adults who have had real experience with money. Such an assumption is misguided and it couldn’t be any further from the truth. In fact, thinking about financial planning only when you are in your 40s or 50s is akin to wanting to learn and play professional soccer at that age and still be as good as Ronaldo and Aguerro. You could try, but there’s a guarantee that you will lose to the younger guys.

That’s why we need to plan ourselves now. Kitu Ni Kuckachora

Why we don’t plan on our finances when we are young

Jipange sai ndio usisote. The reason is quite simple. In our 20s, a lot of us do not have much financial worries – especially if we have cushy jobs paying not more than 50K.

The thought of managing your finances might have come across your mind, but that seldom goes beyond the superficial budgeting for a Mashujaa holiday weekend, or to afford the latest smartphone. That shouldn’t the case.

Why we only care about our finances when we are older

The older you get, the better you generally manage your finances. However, that arises from the need to, and not because we want to.

Between getting married, buying a house, having a child or two, realizing that your parents and having to pay off tons of electricity, water and health bills at the end of each month ), you might start to realize that your meager pay rise of between 3-5% annually is insufficient to cope with both inflation and all these additional expenses.

Somewhere during the process, we are forced to learn how to manage our finances better.

Kachore – Panga pesa zako mapema

Financial planning needs to be done when you are young. If you start young, you can end up doing better than someone who started later, despite putting in lesser effort and earn less money. The bottom line is that saving and investing when you are young is not only easier, but also more rewarding.

Ng’ang’alito Has An Amazing song Out ‘Usiseme Jana’

Ng’ang’alito has a new song out and it is refreshingly pleasing to the ear.

It has been quite a while since I listened to Ngangalito’s music so I was surprised at the development he has made evidenced by this track I had to do go a couple of songs back trying to track the development. Truth be told there is little that prepares you for the treasure that comes in this song other than the clear show of effort in this all his songs.

A strong and rich use of the strings gives this song a richly blended arrangement that does not need of dominating percussion use. Sure Ngangalito has never possessed the richest vocals around thus you still get the feeling something is being held back. The good thing s that he understands his limits thus not interfering with the pleasure of the listening.

Enter the featured artist Daville whose astute vocals carry the song true to the end without overshadowing the song’s owner. The lyrics are well thought out, not deep but with substance. The song may not fill the airwaves but makes an exciting addition to the playlist especially its inspirational message. Here is the lyric video of the song,’Usiseme Jana’

The shortlisted entries will attend workshops in Cape Town in November with leading Hollywood script consultant Pilar Alessandra, author of The Coffee Break Screenwriter, and Orion Ross, Vice President of Content – Animation, Digital and Acquisitions Disney Channels EMEA.

They will then make their final pitches to an expert panel that includes Peter Lord, the British director of international blockbusters like Chicken Run and The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists; Hollywood writers Kiel Murray (Cars) and Jonathan Roberts (The Lion King); and a panel of development executives from both the London and Los Angeles offices of The Walt Disney Company, as well as South African storyteller Gcina Mhlope, comedian David Kau, screenwriter Paul Ian Johnson, and Triggerfish’s development team of Anthony Silverston, Wayne Thornley and Raffaella Delle Donne.

In December 2015, Triggerfish will announce the final Story Lab participants, who will start the new year with a two week immersion trip, including mentoring from key studio and television executives, at Disney’s headquarters in Burbank, California.

Triggerfish will be investing up to R44m over the next three years in The Story Lab, which was established with the support of The Department of Trade and Industry (the DTI) and The Walt Disney Company.

The development process can take a number of years. For each phase of development, Triggerfish will provide financial support, workspace, and expert guidance by internal and international consultants and mentors, as well as a route to market through top-tier relationships with leading Hollywood agency William Morris Endeavor.

MCSK Appoint Lady Bee as New Generation Representative

Sometime back, secular turned gospel artiste Lady Bee was vying to get to the Board of Directors of the MCSK representing Nairobi Region. As it happened, despite being one of the earlier favorites she did not make it garnering a paltry 48 votes way behind the eventual winner Albert Gacheru aka Mwalimu wa Jane’s 219 votes.

Well, it appears it is second time lucky for the born again singer albeit in a different capacity. At their recent meeting in Machakos, the MCSK and artists were discussing on the way forward in overcoming problems in the industry. From there Lady Bee was appointed to MCSK’s Advisory Committee but serving as a representative of the New Generation. She took to her IG account to express her joy and gratefulness with the following post;

‘Today am humbled to be Appointed TO The MCSK ADVISORY COMMITTEE New Generation Representative..Thank you Jesus for your grace..God bless kenya musicians’

Even After Being Released And Issued With A 5M Kshs Bond, This Is Why Mugo Wairimu Is Still Languishing In Industrial Area Prison

Mugo Wa Wairimu became the public enemy after a video of him sedating and raping his patient was broadcast on Citizen TV during prime time news about two months ago.

The video was recorded at the Prestige Health Care clinic in Githurai 44, a clinic run by Mugo. As soon as the video went live, Kenyans took to Twitter in angst demanding the arrest of Mugo .He was soon arrested after Kenyans protested that the police were being lenient with him.

After going in and out of court for some time, Mugo was released last week on a 5 Million bond or a 1 Million Kshs cash bail. About a week on, Mugo is still at the Industrial Area police station.

According to a source close to him, he is still in remand due to the bond system nowadays. Apparently, nowadays, unless you have a significant asset like a title deed or cash, they really delay the release of the bond. Adding that there are many people asking for bribes for Mugo to be released, but tomorrow they hope it will go through.

Lancomé, The Brand That Made Lupita Famous Launches In Kenya!!

Lancome pretty much made our Lupita famous as well as putting a fat wad of crisp notes in her bank account- If you can remember, a few months back Lupita was unveiled  by Lancome as the face of their brand.

Françoise Lehmann, General Manager of Lancôme International, said the company’s decision to tap Lupita was because she is “talented and committed, true to her African beauty, and showing a great curiosity and open-mindedness in her career choices.” [sic]

The more reason that Lancome has found its way to the Kenyan market, in the belief that from whence came Lupita, there was bound to be more beauty. Lancome stores are already in major malls, Thika Road’s garden city for example, where they had a launch weeks ago.

The official launch was last evening at the French Ambassador’s residence. and was attended by the who-is-who of the Kenyan fashion industry, most notably were Fashion bloggers, Sharon Mundia (of thisisess) Joy Kendi (our style Kenya) and Patricia Kihoro of HBR.
