‘Lady Killer’ Nick Mutuma Shows Off His New Ripped Body and Tattoos. Someone Has Cleary Been Hitting the Gym (Photos)

We’re used to seeing plenty of celebrities and socialites flash their muscles and toned bodies on social media after a rigorous work-out.

But as it turns out, there are some celebrities who have kept their work-out regiment on the down low, saving it for their close family, friends and their trainers. And Nick is one of them.

Nick Mutuma, who the ladies fell in love with in the first season of MTV Shuga has been getting his Hugh Jackman on behind the scenes. It seems that Nick decided to ditch the scrawny frame and put time in at the gym to get himself into his impressive shape.

Ladies check him out next and thank me later.

Citizen Presenter Pens This Glowing Tribute To Willy M Tuva

It is said that the best accolade comes from the respect of your fellow professionals. That the mark of your prowess and impact can be seen by the earned respect from peers.

If that is it, then Willy M TUVA has quite a lot. Fellow Citizen presenter and the guy who stepped in for him for the two weeks he has been abroad, Geoffrey Mwamburi took the time to express both gratitude and admiration to the radio guru and this is what he said;

“Nachukua fursa hii kumshukuru Mungu kwa kumlinda rafiki yangu na mtangazaji mwenzangu wa Radio Citizen Fm Mzazi Willy M. Gospel Artist Ambassada Responds To Claims That He Is On The Run From The Law

Gospel artist Ambassador has been on the new of late courtesy of being found handling a phone stolen belonging to Hapa Kule presenter Fred Omondi.

Having been released out on a cash bail and later rumors spread that he was on the run and now the artist has come out to defend himself and clarify the matter. In his response, he downplayed the significance of the case, choosing to ignore with a passing reference and instead focus on the what he deems is his deserved respect.

Yes I am a public figure but I a also need my respect because that’s the legacy I toil for daily.

Going back to headlines spreading about me being on the run courtesy of a case and all that.
Seriously when have I ever been on the run and who did I tell about this?
If it doesn’t come from me, then it’s just but a heresy. “

He also had a word for those accusing him of running as well as more about handling of the case and reaching him he said

“So please, I have a lawyer to sort any of my cases, plus if you want any info about me, kindly call my booking numbers and you will get to me straight.
This story short, I forgive all that did whatever they did to tarnish my name and leave them to the lord because am just human. “

After Watching A Few Episodes Of Tujuane, Here’s What I Concluded About Kenyan Women…The sad sad Truth

Tujuane Plus airs on Africa Magic every………( I don’t know which day). I just watch it on Youtube. Even though it’s not as popular as the first Tujuane, it’s way better. The only reason it’s not that popular is because not everyone has access to Maisha Magic. So after binge-watching several episodes of Tujuane Plus I made a few conclusions about Kenyan ladies.

Money is and will always be a game changer

In one episode, a not-so-good-looking dreadlocked guy came to pick a certain chic with an old rusty pick up truck which had grease on the seats. The passenger door couldn’t even open hence the chic had to squeeze herself through the driver’s door to get to the other side. She couldn’t help but curse. During the date, she was super uncomfortable. I swear she almost walked out. That was until the guy whipped out keys to his Mercedes Benz. Yes, the guy was rich and had a Mercedes Benz. He was just playing with the chic’s mind initially to see how she would react.

You should have seen how her face suddenly lit up. She started smiling, blushing and all that, When he asked her for another date, she was like “What do you want me to wear? Something sexy?” Finally on the second date, there was a scene in the Mercedes where the guy kissed her mercilessly knowing he was going to smash. The chic offered no resistance at all.

Lesson: Having good game is nice but money always beats good game

Being a gentleman equals being boring

Never believe the crap that ladies want gentlemen. Ladies want exciting and aggressive guys that take them by storm. Gentleman ship lost its relevance in the 18th century. On another episode, there’s a light skin chic who was paired up with a guy in a suit. He looked like the perfect gentleman. She was as bored as Mandela on Rhode Island, She couldn’t help but harangue the guy and belittle him. She asked for a change of dates and next she was paired up by a super aggressive guy who kept touching her and flirting using sexual tones. From her eyes one could just tell how wet she was. Damn

Lesson: Never aim to be a gentleman

Tall men will always win

The world is unfair to short guys. I am 5’8 myself and I don’t think I’d be getting laid as much as I do if I didn’t have crazy mistari , a sharp mind and a little fame. Back in the day when I was a nobody, a couple of bishes rejected me saying they preferred taller guys. That’s right. I’ve been a victim of such nonsense too. A good number of chics don’t even care that you might be tall going downwards. They just want height. It’s as if you will shag them with your head.

Anyway, there was this episode of Tujuane where some really tall dude couldn’t even put a string of comprehensible sentences together. . He just sat there, let the chic do most of the talking and occasionally rumbled like the engine of an old volkswagen. Despite all that, the chic was till all over him like she was an Israelite and he was an angel sent to deliver manna from heaven.

Lesson: It doesn’t matter how tall your ‘D’ is….women want actual height (unless you are an exciting short dude)

The National Police Service Denies Claims AP Commander Intimidated Mohammed Ali. Calls Twitter Account ‘Fake and Malicious’

Last week most were shocked when a supposed senior AP commander threatened Mohammed Ali of dire consequences should he continue with his activities.

The discussion triggered an exchange on Twitter and quite an outrage with many wondering how the government specifically the Police Service could let such a matter go on with no response. Well they have replied and notified the public and all involved parties that the account purported to be that of Senior AP Commander in Lamu is fake and malicious. This is the response from the National Police Service through their official Twitter handles;

However, Mohammed Ali is not totally sold to this assertion. He is has asked the police service to carry out the investigations and reveal the impostor if they are serious about it.

Well now you know!

After Jay-Z Gave Her a Shout Out In the Song ‘We Made It’ another American Superstar Promises Lupita Nyong’o a Song

We literally screeched in delight when Jay Z and Jay Electronica gave a shout out to the then newly-minted Oscar winner, Lupita Nyong’o.

In the ‘We Made It ‘ Song, Jay Z’s raps this in his verse:

I’m on my Lupita Nyong’o
Stuntin’ on stage, after 12 Years A Slave
This Ace of Spades look like an Oscar

To which Lupita replied with “Dear Mr. Carter & Mr. Thedford, your shout-out made me screech with glee. Mad BK & NOLA love. #WeMadelt – LN @SC @JayElectronica.”

Now Page Six Reports that musical legend who has 25 Grammy awards, Stevie Wonder has something special for the ‘12 Years A Slave’ actress. Apparently, Stevie told Lupita that he wants to write a song for her.   This was after Stevie Wonder graced her with his presence at the opening night of Eclipsed, a play Lupita stars in.

How exciting!

Meet This Kenyan Artist Who Went to High School with a Grammy Award Winner and Who Overcomes Challenges by Hearing People Fart At Night #CokeStudioAfrica

What defines a true celebrity? Is it the flashy lifestyle, being carefree and reckless or is the ego and arrogance? I tend to think it’s the weird rituals that truly set you apart.  Willow Smith for example is obsessed with snakes. Normally she has 10 sleeping in her room and some aren’t in cages. Kesha on the other hand collects her fans teeth and makes necklaces out of them.

And these rituals are not only in the west but also amongst us. Our very own Owuor Arunga, the talented trumpeter who recently won a Grammy or rather helped to win one has a couple up his sleeve. While most of us focus on doing normal things like watching a movie or going out dancing to ease pressure and overcome challenges, Owuor only finds pleasure in hearing someone farting and tripping while walking. Yes, a bit creepy and sadist but that’s his cup of tea.

In the 3 years that he has perfected his art, that’s basically what has been keeping him going and which you have to thank for the trumpet in The Heist, the Grammy award winning album by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. It is also one of the core reasons you experience all the impeccable mashups present on Coke Studio Africa which airs on Citizen TV every Sunday from 8PM.

Hapa Kule’s Abel Mutua Surprises In His Debut Music Entry As The Standout Performer In The Deja Vu Remix

Last week came the news that former Tahidi high actor and Hapa Kule presenter Abel Mutua was making an entry in music.

Even with all the hype surrounding the decision, few were totally sold to the idea that the actor would hack it such a competitive field. Well, he has actually surprised adding an extra feather to his cap. In a remix featuring several seasoned musicians, like Khaligraph and Sudi Boy, his verse stood out both his flow and lines. It is a pleasant surprise and it remains to be seen whther positive reception will see him [lunge himself fully in the rapping game. Here is the audio to the song;

Yesterday, Morgan Heritage who are still touring Kenya  took their culinay skills to Steers, Ngong road as seen in the photos below

This Is Why Everybody Is Talking About Churchill Show’s Prof. Hammo After His Stint With President Uhuru (Photos)

The once little known Churchill Show comedian is now making headlines following his stint at State House the previous day.

Yesterday after the Mashujaa Day celebration at Nyayo Stadium, a section of musicians, comedians and other artists were invited to State House.

President Uhuru Kenyatta and his wife Margaret Kenyatta were hosting a garden luncheon to celebrate Kenya’s Heroes.

Professor Hammo was among celebrities that made their way to State House. He also performed for the President and other dignitaries present.

But Prof. Hammo’s moment came when Uhuru was greeting his guests. While the head of state of hurried to shake other people’s hands, he had to stop and spend a minute or two when he greeted the Churchill Show comedian.

What Prof. Hammo told President Uhuru to make him burst out into laughter is what attracted the attention of many.

Hammo’s joke warmed the President’s heart that he was compelled introduce his deputy and his wife to the Churchill Show comedian.

“A Fan Once Put Money In My Bra While Performing!” Popular Kenyan Diva Reveals

Overzealous fans have often been caught on camera doing inappropriate things to celebrities such as spanking a celebrity, grabbing them or throwing their underpants on stage in the middle of a live performance.

Avril’s fans were once caught on camera amorously groping her behind and taking butt selfies while she performed at Maasai Mara University.

And now an unlikely Kenyan Diva has revealed that a fan once stuffed money in her bra during a rousing performance.

Suzzana Owiyo reveals that it felt a bit weird but she could not do anything as she was mid-performance and the fan put it in her bra as she had no pockets!

“You Have Sold Your Souls To The Devil!” Juliana, Chameleone and Bebe Cool Told By Hard-Hitting Bigwig

African leaders have been known to cling to leadership as fervently as a cocaine addict clings to his last stash of drugs. Someone is on their death bed with one foot in the grave but they still insist on ruling. For many of them, leadership will have to be pried from their cold dead hands.

Maybe that is why Ugandans were livid after Juliana, Chameleone and Bebe Cool threw their weight behind Uganda’s supreme leader Yoweri Museveni who has ruled the country since 1986. Many Ugandans felt that this was an act of utmost betrayal and it is totally unforgivable considering that their success was fashioned by Ugandans themselves.

And the vitriol hurled against them is not over as hard-Hitting Facebook bigwig Dr Stella Nyanzi who is also a medical anthropologist with a PhD from the University of London ,had this to tell them for betraying Uganda and ‘prostituting themselves before the oppressor’.

stella_nyanzi.jpeg

Dr Stella Nyanzi

This is what she wrote:

“Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery; none but ourselves can free our minds…,” Bob Marley appealed to us in his ‘Redemption Song’. I am sending out this song to all those yellow Ugandan musicians this morning.

Music is powerful; a very powerful influence that can move individuals and masses of people. In times of social disillusionment, civil strife and national crises such as face us in Uganda today; music can be a powerful tool. ‘Negro Spirituals’ were very powerful sources of courage, hope, resolve and comfort during slavery. The historical record of battle and hunting songs were powerful motivation for traditional warriors and hunters from our local kingdoms.

The kadogos’ music of the revolutionary NRA in the 80s was powerful inspiration during the long war to liberate Uganda. Musicians who produce music must know their role(s) in the struggle we face as a country today. It is self-defeating and dumb to ally with the oppressors when everyday struggles
affect masses of Ugandans who consume your music. It is evil of our local musicians to sell their soul to the oppressive machine of undemocratic NRM rule in today’s
Uganda.

If a musician is not going to ally with the masses of oppressed Ugandans demanding change in governance and an end to corruption, then it is okay for that musician to continue singing about love, morality, God, everyday life and work. We shall understand that this musician is non-
political, non-revolutionary, a peace-loving coward. We shall understand.

But to go and prostitute yourselves before the oppressor, compose and sing your ‘Tubonga Nawe’ composition to him, kneel down and grovel before him, was selling your souls to the devil. Fine: you needed the oppressor’s money because you have stomachs and dependents. However, of what use are you to Ugandans today, if you are going to side with the enemy of the people? You should be singing songs that taunt the oppressor and his agents of oppression. Your music should be exposing the governance deficits we have in Uganda. When my clans-mate sang ‘Tugambire ku Jennifer akendeze obukambwe’, that was bravery speaking from and of the plight of Kampala dwellers. It was revolutionary! We need musicians who are going to inspire the revolution that we need in Uganda today. Ebisigadde mandazi! Nze nange, SIBONGA NAWE!

Citizen TV Brings In Janet Mbugua’s Replacement As She Goes To Deliver (Photo)

Monday night was the last time Citizen TV viewers caught the last glimpse of a pregnant Janet Mbugua anchoring prime time news.

Janet Mbugua has been strong enough to grace our screens to anchor news for the better part of her pregnancy. But time doesn’t allow her no more.

Janet bowed out of the screen last Monday and she did it in style. The dazzling anchor feigned labor pains during Monday Night Special, almost giving her co-anchor, Hussein Mohamed, a heart attack.

She later reaffirmed Hussein she was only messing with him. Janet’s maternity leave started that Monday night when she bid goodbye to her viewers.

She will be on leave for the next three months. Jacque Maribe will be seating in for her. The Citizen TV Political Affairs reporter filled Janet’s shoes during her wedding period.

“It’s my last show before I head out on maternity leave. Jacque Maribe will take over from me on Monday Night Special. Unfortunately she couldn’t make it for us to officially hand over.” Janet announced.

The Story That Moved Jaguar To Tears (Photos)

In a rather heart-wrenching story, award winning singer, Jaguar, was spotted shedding tears after hearing the story of girl who has cerebral palsy.
Keziah Njiru told the singer how she is discriminated against because of her condition. She became the ridicule of the society and and even had to discontinue her education because she couldn’t take it anymore.

Jaguar was so moved that he asked his producer and manager, Philip Makanda, to take the girl’s contacts with a promise that she will be taken back to school and her education paid for in full. Our sources intimate that Keziah is now back at Baraka Agricultural College doing sustainable agriculture, thanks to Jaguar’s big heart.

It should also be remembered that Jaguar still supports Mwangi.

A real shujaa this is.

Incest Galore: Saumu Mbuvi Smears A Deep Kiss On Her Brother’s Lips Then Says It Was Preparation For Valentine (Photo)

Most African cultures can fathom a hurried kiss on the cheeks between siblings. But a deep lip to lip kiss?? No way. That certainly raises eyebrows!

About a year ago, Nairobi Senator adopted Baby Satrin Osinya after terrorists snuffed out his mother’s life in an attack that left the young one with a bullet in his skull.

The philanthropic Senator initially had four biological daughters, and Baby Osinya’s addition meant Sonko had a son; Saumi Mbuvi’s kid bro.

Baby Osinya has now grown inches and he has also learnt a few things from his siblings. His elder sister has been busy teaching him lot of adult stuff like kissing.

Saumu was seen exchanging saliva with Baby Osinya in a photo she uploaded on social media. I said kissing because there was no way that could have been a peck.

She closed her eyes and captioned the moment; ‘Preparation for Valentine with babe’.

Whatever she meant is subject to various interpretations. See the photo below;

Lupita Nyong’o Gets A Day Dedicated To Her In America (Video)

Lupita Nyong’o s accolades keep on getting better with each new month and now she has found a new level of love from America.

She has a day dedicated to her, a bit like The Martin Luther King Jr Day. (Should’ve warned you of the hyperbole) only her is not a holiday nor a day marked by the whole nation, Just Harlem and given the importance of the City in American History, it is a great honor nonetheless

At a time when we are still wondering how long it would take to rename Limuru Road, elsewhere people are more appreciative of the talents, sacrifices and fortitude of heroes and heroines in their midst.

The award came while we were busy trying to find meaning to our own Mashujaa celebrations, someone somewhere was appreciating one of our modern day role models. Congratulations Lupita, hopefully long after you have been honored worldwide this country can find it in itself to deservedly honor you. Here is her accepting the award,

Mashujaa Day Madness: 9 Year Old Among Over 200 Kids Found Drinking And Dancing In A Nairobi Bar Along Dubois Road (Video)

While yesterday was dedicated to celebrate the lives of heroes and heroines that made Kenya what it is today, some minors took the party way overboard by practicing what was not fit for their age.

While the nation’s attention was shifted to Nyayo Stadium where the main action of the day was taking place, ‘clever’ Nairobi kids decided to party on their own.

Over 200 kids flocked Jerry City Hotel and Bar on Dubois Road in Nairobi to celebrate Mashujaa Day in style.

And were they at the bar to watch the live broadcasting of Mashujaa Day? Nope, not at all. The minors thronged the entertainment hotspot to drink alcohol and dance.

This was evident when police raided the bar after a tip from members of the public. Alcohol, bhang and even condoms were found in the bar during the 3pm swoop.

Incidents of minors partying in adults joints have been on the rise. Only some two weeks ago we heard of the Eldoret incident and before that there was another case involving High School students drinking, smoking and having sex in a bus. Lord save our children!

Anyway, below is the video footage of the incident that NTV captured;

Forget Basically Just Nursing Hangovers and Skipping Annoying Bosses at Work, This is the Surest Way of Making Mashujaa Day Count, It is the True Meaning of Heroism #Smartika

Is it just me or has Mashujaa lost its meaning? The glamour and glitz that used to identify this important day has all gone down the drain and there is nothing really to arouse any form of feverishness. Okay apart from nursing our hangovers and spending time away from the ruthlessness of our stubborn bosses. The day has surely fallen off the bandwagon just like the socialite empire which is slowly crumbling.

Remember the days used to look forward to Mashujaa Day referred to as Kenyatta day at the time with optimum anticipation. The president’s speech, the army showcase and the enthralling entertainment by the likes of Mzee Ojwang and Mama Kayai-rip Mzee Ojwang by the way. After that you’d spend quality time with the family while you engage with your chapattis and sodas that daddy would have bought- they always felt generous during this time of the year. He would also sit you down and take you down memory lane reminding you what our forefathers had gone through just for you to enjoy your freedom, just for you to enjoy smoking some shisha every Friday night.

It is quite sad but you can still recover, you still have something to be all bubbly about. The country might be going through a cash crunch and things might not be going right but they always say never to give up. I hear talking helps so catching up with friends and talking about it might just offer the right solutions. Maybe you can still get back things on track. Maybe Mashujaa day might start feeling exciting once again and if you can win yourself a brand new car in the process, why not?

Yes Airtel this Mashujaa day is giving you an opportunity to bring back the spirit of togetherness and heroism and awarding you a car through the Smartika na Airtel campaign. All you have to do is look out for a daily SMS which Airtel will send you, with your 5X target for the day. Once that is settled, make sure you Call, SMS and access data from your Airtel line so as to reach and ‘Fikisha’ your 5X target for the day

Once you FIKISHA your 5X target, you will get a Confirmation SMS on target achievement, as well as a complimentary 500% airtime bonus to use across all networks. You can use the 500% airtime bonus to browse, SMS and make calls across all networks.

You will then be automatically entered into the daily draw for a chance to win a Toyota Axio, as well as other daily cash and airtime prizes.

Now make your Mashujaa day count!

Juliana, Chameleone and Bebe Cool Are Betrayers and Greedy! Ugandans Roast Artists For Endorsing Museveni’s Candidature

When it comes to the biggest artists in Uganda, it does not get better any bigger than the Dr. Jose Chameleone, Bebe Cool and Juliana Kanyomozi. These three have cut across the regional borders and rank top among the continent’s top musical acts.

Thus it goes without saying every action they undertake gets to be judged and analyzed with the public. When the three joined efforts to participate in a political song more or less endorsing Presdent Museveni, the backlash has been huge and not dissipating any time soon.

For Ugandans, this is the height of hypocrisy and betrayal. They have taken to social media notably Facebook to vent their disappointment on the three big artists actions which they interpret as their endorsing of the dictatorial actions of Museveni. They have also called out the artists excuse of expressing their choice as a poor excuse given they hardly protest on the brutalities of police harassment and poor living conditions. The whole issue gets even thicker with other reports suggesting that the artists have been paid sums around 400 million to put up the endorsement.

The three artists have in their respective pages tried to explain themselves out but hardly getting the necessary support. This is what Jose Chameleone said;

‘It’s your own Sorrow, Struggle and success!!!! Let everybody respect every bodies opinion. Telling me your Wish doesn’t make it mine too. We all have different Missions. As you dream to make me
Do what you want, I am on my way to do what’s me. If you wanted to tell me what’s right one of you should have shown me the way then. Let’s oust ignorance and learn to Critisize positively. You want us to sing on your Graduations, Birthday days, Weddings etc and defy the fact that PRESIDENT MUSEVENI is entitled to the same??? Wake up people. We are respectful to Elders and are entitled to dine with a Father.

#TubongaNawe

LEONE ISLAND MUSIC EMPIRE’

Juliana had this to say about her actions;

Ndi munnauganda nga abalala bonna. It means we all have the same fundamental rights regardless of our positions in society, or political beliefs, or even life experiences. But there’s one thing that brings us together, and thats humanity, obuntu. We are all from the human race. There’s no need to use abusive, disrespectful, judgemental and insensitive language towards each other simply because ofour different beliefs. That is not going to add any value to you or me. No need to use hateful speech to drive a point across. Let’s agree to disagree on certain things, but respectfully. Rather than try to intimidate me to believe in what you believe in…. You also have the choice to support me in this musical journey or not to. I see absolutely no problem in that. I may be a musician and public figure, but away from the glitz and glam, I’m also a human being just like everybody else. When I started singing, it was never about getting rich or becoming famous. And till today, i dont base my happiness on those things because they come and go. I jus wanted to sing and thats what I still want to do, JUST SING and also continue to grow as a God fearing woman who respects her elders and love and love as much as i can. It doesn’t mean my life has been perfect, I’ve been through some of the most painful experiences, just like most of you. But those values have not changed till today. I would rather sing for 10 people who will see me beyond the lights, camera, make up, hair extensions and high heels but see my soul, happiness, tears , pain and flaws, and still love me regardless. And I will be happy with that. Everything I do, I do for God and my country. Be blessed everyone.

Bebe Cool was more bullish stating;

In my language Luganda they say,ENTASIMA EBULA AGIWA.
If u wanna be rich, dine with the rich
If u wanna be successful, dine with the successful
As they say birds of the same feathers………
And lastly they say if u can’t beat them,……..
And don’t forget u reap what u ……..
Remember musicians r Ugandans n they too have a right to choose a political side and vote too.
Thank you your excellence YOWERI KAGUTA MUSEVENI and first lady mama JANET MUSEVENI for accepting our invitation.

The public outcry has been harsh save for the few souls who have taken the artists side. In Juliana’s case they have even vowed not to vote for her in the Coke Studio mash up instead to vote for her rivals. Here are some of the comments;

Walu Gyo let your name stay Bebe Cool not Bebe Fool……. am wondering if U would post this again if a police man undressed Zuena and no legal actoins are taken

Nankya Erios It doesn’t matter whether you’ve phrased the post in a twisty way. The thing is most of us are disappointed in you singers. We are intelligent women as well and we’ve experienced broad daylight bribery between you and M7. Stop manipulating us coz we all know what’s happening but musanze tulaba. We won’t accept to be wooed. Change is needed!. Everything has been destroyed. Go and have a look at Mulago hospital, schools, infrastructure etc. People can’t afford the basic needs nor an everyday decent meal and yr parading with him!. What has he done for the last past 30 yrs for the nation apart from selling everything?!!!. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!.

David Charlestone Ssempijja Juliana, you are personally good but when goats decide to swim with pigs, the goats get dirty and pigs don’t care about that because they enjoy dirt, you are my diva but being part of that opportunistic group that converged at Munyonyo felt like I was betrayed, but I accept thats is your right. But I still wish popular musicians like you would now be sounding voices directed at of liberating this country, other than deceiving the man that you appreciate what he has done… You let me down JK! CNN’s *$$-Kissing Gambit Earns Them One On One Interview With President Uhuru Kenyatta

Thought they were too big to flirt with Africans to gain favor? CNN has been on a mission to woo Kenya into its pouch ever since they made a blunder with an itchy gaffe.

Remember the infamous ‘hotbed of terror’ slur that the American broadcaster made in an attempt to warn President Obama of the imminent danger ahead of Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2015?

Of course CNN apologized after Kenya canceled a multi-million shillings advertising deal it had struck with the Atlanta based broadcaster.

The issue was so serious that CNN had to fly in its global Executive Vice President and Managing Director, Tony Maddox to personally apologize to President Uhuru.

Their charm offensive didn’t immediately work on Kenya but as time elapsed, its effects can conspicuously been seen.

(In whisper) I have heard Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) restored the initial advertising deal it struck with CNN.

Well, President Uhuru has also granted CNN a one on one interview. The broadcaster’s Fareed Zakaria, grilled Baba Ngina on issues that are not relevant to entertainment news.

Jaded Woman Sets Husbands Car On Fire After She Caught Him Cheating (photos)

It is true what the sagely recorded, that hell knows no fury than a female scorned. For out thirsty friend, the words ring hard, louder than a thousand bells.

Our thirsty friend (name withheld) was having a drink over the weekend at the 1824 whisky bar before leaving for some special treatment from his clande in Rongai. Unbeknownst to him, what was to be a night of culinary and carnal pleasures capitulated into a nightmarish ordeal of fire, loss  and heartbreaks.

It is reported that the irate wife followed her promiscuous husband to his mistresses lair and lay waiting, calculating as her man dipped his hand into the honey pot. After a rush decision to teach our thirsty friend a worthy lesson, the wife went about torching his car that was parked outside, burning it down to ashes.

below are photos:

Our condolences to our thirsty brother.

Maybe being team mafisi is not so cool after-all. Next time use her car.

Another One From the Kingdom Of Atwal! Chief Mufasa Is Back! Like He Never Left!

Wizkid. Rae Sremmurd. Young Thug. Lil Wayne…Meek Mill…Are some of the superstar names that you think of when you hear this kid drop bars, sing, rap or flow on a bombastic beat. Too bad he’s not entirely ours…But from Tanzania!

After years of garbage, and mediocre flows and rhymes, coupled with grainy videos and lazy bars,we’re glad to introduce you to someone who is not just fresh, but incredibly gifted, smart, catchy and outstanding. And unlike half of the cats who abuse the name rapper today,He actually is one. And a very bad one at that.

Chief Mufasa is a Tanzanian rapper that has been making his mark in the industry for just over 3 years now. He is a member of the Atwal Music conglomerate, under which he has been releasing his most recent material.

Prior to joining Atwal Music Chief Mufasa released the viral track Wangechi,a remix to Versace and a tribute to gorgeous rapper Wangechi  that was streamed over 7,000 times on Soundcloud  and reposted by many including Wangechi herself. Chief Mufasa then met music genius Atwal, who began to make music and nurture him as an artist. They worked on numerous singles including Don’t Be Mad Dance, & Fire. Chief Mufasa shot a video for his single  Dance  (Which bears an uncanny sound similar to that of Nigerian superstar Wizkid) and released it solely on YouTube.

After the release of the dance video,Chief Mufasa joined forces with Atwal, Kelvin.K, Zonda, Timmy-Tim & Khaligraph Jones to create the street anthem All Day that has been doing rounds since its release. After the success of the hit single  ‘All Day’, Chief Mufasa has returned with yet another banger. The track is entitled  Work It.It is produced by the man behind All Day, Atwal, alongside Kaxi, who frequently collaborates with both Atwal & Chief Mufasa on numerous projects.

>This banger is something else completely. You almost can’t categorise it. Chief Mufasa’s flow is like a strange mixture of Lil Wayne, Rae Sremmurd,Meek Mill with a dash of Young Thug with an African touch. He truly brings his ‘A game’ on this track all the way from the delivery, the flow, the ferocity and the above-par content.

Atwal & Kaxi also come through hard on the beats…Especially the intro which leaves you sitting up and bracing yourself for one helluva jam. And,yes, you are not disappointed…

The 808s and snares are what distinguish this work of art in a class of it’s own. After hearing and watching the  All Day video by Atwal, I knew African music, more specially Kenyan music was about to change. All thanks to this Atwal Music team consisting of the likes of Chief Mufasa.

Chief Mufasa

Don’t get me wrong though, this isn’t a track that offers any profound lyrical content that some of you may be expecting. It’s a track that embodies the emotion of excitement and the act of letting go. You don’t need to constantly think about what’s being said or try to uncover the true meaning behind the message like a some puzzle…Haha. He’s not out here to dispense knowledge and change the World, but to make you sit up,grab that liquor cup, take that dry sip, turn up the volume and let yourself as loose as you possibly can.

The track just makes you want to groove, and most of all, it makes you want to turn up. There’s really not that much more to it, and that’s what makes this such a gem of song. The video is said to be coming soon and I am beyond exited to see what Chief Mufasa and his conglomerate have in store for us.

So,sit back, put some Beats by Dre headphones on,turn up that mathafuckin’ volume, shut the world away and get loose. Cuz Mufasa ’boutta drop bombs!

Listen to the beautiful, bumping jam by clicking HERE ….

And refresh yourself with this Intentional-standards All Day super video

Kenyan Rapper Airs Out His Comment In Regard To The Athlete Who Collapsed In A Brothel After Ingesting Herbal Viagra (Photos)

Leave Viagra to old chaps who sleep senseless after a single shot. Sex enhancement products almost robbed an athlete of his dear life.

I bet you have heard about former NBA basketball star Lamar Odom? For starters, the ninja was found unconscious in a room at a legal brothel in Nevada, USA after ingesting a mixture of herbal Viagra and cocaine.

Doctors stated the 35-year-old stood a 50/50 chance of a full recovery and even advised the family to expect anything.

The incident happened about a week ago. Against all odds, Lamar Odom opened his eyes and made a brief utterance, according to a representative for the family.

His ‘quick recovery’ is what caught the attention of Kenyan rapper, Bamboo’ who disclosed he had been praying for him ever since he heard about his condition.

Bamboo says he dedicated a considerable chunk of his precious time to present his petition before the Lord, asking the Maker to grant the former NBA player recovery.

Can I get an amen? Well the born again rapper is certain his prayers worked miracle.

“I really prayed for Lamar Odom to come out of the coma he was in. I pray for so many other things but this case really touched my heart for some reason so I made sure to take some extra time out to present my petition before the Lord for Lamar to recover. When he was admitted he was vomiting a white substance from his mouth and bleeding thru His nose, he was also suffering massive organ failure, the doctors said his chances were slim to none of recovery. They really expected him to die. I’m so amped, God answeres prayer. Jesus really did it. Now I pray that Lamar’s life turns around for the better.”

Bahati A Form 4 Leaver Reveals He Is Going Back To School

In the words of legendary Nelson Mandela; education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. Bahati has taken in the advice of the fallen Nobel laureate to go back to school.

There is no doubt Bahati is successful by every definition of the word. Even so, the gospel singer is yet to quench his thirst for education.

Bahati joins the likes of Mike Sonko who despite being a multi-millionaire and a seasoned politician, went back to school and graduated with a degree in Business Administration from Kenya Methodist University.

Bahati, a form 4 leaver, told Ghafla! he will be joining unnamed campus to pursue undergraduate degree.

The singer says he wants to advance his literacy since he has realized the power of education.

“Unajua mimi nlipata degree moja ya form 4. Lakini najoin campo this coming January. Nataka kuadvance masomo. Nataka watu wasome ju education ni power. Ukiwa msee educated unajua kuishi na wasee, unajua kudeal na situations, unajua kuhundle vitu venye zinacome.” Bahati told Ghafla!

Bahati says he draws his passion for education from his deceased mother who would do anything to make him go to school.

Have We Really Sunk This Low?Look at the South Africans Laughing At Kenya’s Empty Coffers (Photo)

It appears our problems with the cash crunch do not just bother us alone, other countries  in the continent too have become worried about the situation and are already making comparisons.

The pinching part is that the people doing these are from countries we hold as competitors in a number of sectors from entertainment to tourism and continental trade, transport and education. A top magazine is South Africa had a newspaper with a blaring headline questioning whether Kenya is Africa’s version of Greece. We all know the story of Greece and how it had to genuflect to European big economies to be bailed out. At these rate we won’t be singing sovereign any louder. Here is that photo of the newspaper;

Thirst Trap: Victoria Kimani Already Killing Men With The Snippet Of Her Raunchy Video

The seductress is on a mission of making a bold statement. She is out to massacre Team Mafisi fond of salivating after wiggling booties.

“Baby bend over, let me see you do that yoga…” The sultry video vixen in Victoria Kimani’s upcoming video has put into practice Janelle Monae’s lyrics.

The titillating vixen was filmed acting like a girl possessed by 14 stubborn demons in a bloodcurdling exorcism movie.

She was shaking her money maker professionally as she rolled over a mud-spattered platform. You get to understand why she had to shake her butt harder when you hear the title of Victoria Kimani’s upcoming video.

The song is dubbed ‘Booty Bounce’. Surely you don’t expect nuns in their garments shaking legs to a song titled ‘Booty Bounce’, do you?

Anyhow, the snippet is already causing men to seat with their legs crossed. Wonder what Team Mafisi will do once the full video is out.

The Shock As Senior Administration Police Brazenly Threatens Mohammed Ali’s Life

When doing the work Mohammed Ali of Jicho Pevu does, getting threats becomes part of your work.

However, it becomes unnerving when a senior police officer does so openly without any inhibition or fear of reproach whatsoever. Just after his letter to the DP and his recent exposes which even aired on Al Jazeera. Lamu’s coordinating commander Chrispus Mutali using his Twitter handle warned Mohammed Ali to leave the government alone or he will face the consequences. A couple replies followed with the Chrispus holding his ground purporting to be doing his duty.

Flamboyant Jaguar Picks A Street Boda Boda Ride Over A Chopper

When one thinks of Jaguar, the immediate image is one of a flashy celebrity with the latest in fashion as well as a fuel guzzler and several aides in tow.

He created the image since he emerged as one of the financially successful artistes. Thus, it became a shocker when he was spotted on a ‘boda boda’ motorcycle in the city center. The musician hopped on to a motorcycle to attend to an errand and a photographer took a snapshot that has since flooded social media.

It is a good thing to note with most celebrities keen on creating an everlasting glitz and glamour about their lives, Jaguar can appreciate the practicality of the situation- the Nairobi jam. He also gave thumbs up to the photographer very much unlike the usual sneering and mind your business vitriol usual with most of local celebrities. Here is the photo of him on the boda boda.

Dopiest Female Blogger Buys A Multi-Million Shillings 3-Storey Mansion In A Leafy Suburb. And No She Didn’t Spread Her Legs To Buy The Dream Home (Photos)

2 living rooms, media room, cinema room, gym room, laundry room, a fully fitted kitchen with a large pantry and much more. I tell you bloggers rake in serious guap!

There is a section of people who don’t think women can excel on their own without a man or two to support their success. It’s for this reason that seasoned female blogger, Linda Ikeji, made it clear she didn’t Vera Sidika herself to buy the luxurious mansion.

“My name is Linda Ikeji. I’m a blogger. I’m 35 years old and I have never, never ever in my life slept with a man for money. Not only have I never done it, I have never even considered it. And here I am with a house that cost me over half a billion naira.”

For starters, a half a billion naira is equivalent to a quarter a billion Kenyan shillings, so it’s still a lot of money for folks whose bank accounts have never read past 6 figures.

Anyhow, Linda Ikeji is one of the best bloggers in the continent. She commands a huge following from across the world so she’s a darling of multinational companies who want to market their brands. That explains her source of income.

The Nigerian blogger has been causing pandemonium ever since news broke she bought a 3-storey mansion in Banana Island area of Ikoyi, Nigeria’s equivalent of Runda, Karen and Kileleshwa, plus State House put together.

See photos of her house in the photo gallery below;

“Don’t Leave me Boo, Ukinipea Chance Sitapoteza” Ali Kiba is Caught Telling Kenya’s Victoria Kimani. Watch it All Here #CokeStudioAfrica

First it was Flavour from Nigeria and now it’s Alikiba from Tanzania something which is getting really baffling. Exactly how much hold does Victoria Kimani have on these international stars?

Is it her super hot body or is it her melodious voice? Or maybe it’s the Nigerian swag? Whatever it is, it seems to be really working for her.

Like look at this video we stumbled upon of Ali Kiba wooing her not to leave him. That he was willing to do anything just to have her around and there she is making all manner of conditions to that effect. Who knew they were having a fully blown affair in the first place?

I surely didn’t know until I watched their mash up which aired yesterday on Citizen TV during yet another session of Coke Studio Africa Season 3. So watch it below and see if Victoria agrees to stay with Ali Kiba and make sure to vote for the mash up by posting this two hash tags (#Song 5, # CokeStudioAfrica) on facebook, twitter and instagram:

Celebrity Siblings Cause A Fuss In Machakos With Their Goody Bags (Photos)

Hot 96 Presenter Joy Muthengi and her gospel rapper brother were the main attraction in Machakos County last weekend because of their noble deed.

The celebrity siblings gave the Governor Mutua a big boost in Machakos’ development with their charity mission.

Last weekend, Holy Dave chose to celebrate his birthday in a unique way. The rapper alongside his sister went on a mission of distributing solar lamps to Machakos residents.

Holy Dave made it clear he DIDN’T want a single present for his birthday. Instead he was the one who distributed ‘presents’ to the less fortunate in Machakos County under the banner of Muthengi Foundation Solar Lamp Project.

The foundation is promoting education by distributing lambs to help rural school children who don’t have the luxury of electricity, study beyond the daylight.

A single solar lamp costs a whooping Kes 3,200 but the Muthengis were giving Machakos residents the lamps for free.

Hillarious KOT Reaction To The 37k El-Nino Bar Soap and The 6k Sanitary Pads Pack

The government El-Nino plans have now become bizarre bordering on mischief, hilarity and the fatuous.

In what was to become perhaps the first time the country was proactive in making mitigation plans for the expected havoc of the El-Nino rains, the plans have now become a circus and an obvious looting ploy. Not only are the rains not getting to El-Nino levels despite the continued insistence by the meteorological department, but the plans are just pure hogwash.

In a rather costly plan the government aims to spend 37.5 million to buy 1000 bars of soap to be distributed to the affected victims meaning a bar soap will be going for Ksh 37.5k. Just what kind of soap this is remains to be explained given that the priciest bar soaps goes for less than 300 bob in the supermarket.

At the same time the government aims to spend 24 million to buy 4000 packs of sanitary towels translating to 6000/- per pack when one retails for less than 500/-. KOT were quick to take satirical swipes at the government and here are some hilarious ones;

CORD’S co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka’s Chopper has been involved in an accident in Tanzania.

On Thursday last week, it was reported that a prominent Kenyan’s helicopter had crashed in the middle of Selous Game Reserve in Tanzania killing all its four occupants. Amongst the four was an outspoken parliamentary aspirant for the CCM party Mr. Deo Filikunjombe.

The former VP bought the chopper in 2013 for the general elections then and has since been chartering it to clients. Tallia Oyando’s Son Turns 3 In Style (Photos)

It feels like it was just the other day when Talia and her hubby Director Ezy welcomed their first born Lyric Onyango .

Now the boy just turned 3 and his mum Talia took to social media to gush about her firstborn confessing that her life has never been the same again since Lyric was born.

“I didn’t know I could love anyone the way I love you. The love I have for you can be given to the world with more left to share. I think of you every minute of every hour of everyday. I dream of you too. The 6 months of morning sickness, the fainting, the heart burn, the migraines, the emergency doctor’s visits, the weight gain, the stretch marks. I would go through that a million times again just to have you. You are the absolute #LoveOfmyLife and I would die without you. I love you baby. You will always be my baby.” she wrote before going ahead and praising little Lyric describing him as thoughtful, beautiful and amazing” Aww…

And the post on social media was not the only thing she did for her son. For his birthday, Talia and her husband threw him a party at school and at her husband’s office.

This is how the party at school went down:

The 10 Best Kenyan Music Albums Since 2000…The Stuff For Classics

A classic album is known for more than just its timeliness. It is more than just one hit single carrying the rest of the songs.

It is more than just successful sales. A classic album is a beautiful work of art. With the quality and intimacy woven through all the songs you are hardly tempted to press forward. Its emotive content ensures you remember where you were when it first came out. Its musical quality sets new standards for its freshness and influence reverberates long after the album is released and allows it to cut across the demography. Ladies and gentlemen, here is the definitive list of Kenya’s top ten Albums since 2000.

10. Necessary Noize 2- Necessary Noize

This is the album that won NN2 the fame and the acclaim. Mixing hip hop and RnB as well as Reggae effortlessly, it dominated airwaves and never lost its freshness. Nazizi and Wyre have gone to achieve bigger things in their careers but this album as a duo is the epitome of everything we love about them, simple yet deep and social conscious. It was filled with hit after hit from Kenyan Boy Kenyan Girl, Nataka Toa, Tension and the prayerful Bless My Room in one of the most hits studded albums.

09. Kidi Oba e Toke- Tony Nyadundo

He may no longer be the force that brought/ redefined/popularized Ohangla music, but when Tony Nyadundo released his second album Kidi Oba e Toke, he was literally alone at the top. Not just as an Ohangla singer but in the country. The album’s success showed that traditional music could sell nationwide and every club and DJ has played the songs in this album with hits like the titular, Kidi Oba e Toke as well as Ndoa Ya Machozi and the magical Dala Gi Mama Nyiri Beyo. You do not need a dozen or more songs when each of your songs does 10 or more minutes. Even now, the sound of the mouth organ and the accompanying strings and drums is irresistible.

08. Nairobizm

This is one of the albums that cut a unique in a then pretty congested hip hop scene. It came after the first album Nairobbery had placed the group on the national conscience. However, in this album the duo of Abbas Kubbaf and Bamboo were more mature, more experimental and all packed punch lines to last you in through for days. It is the album that set the dissing game on fire with ‘Kapuka This’ and made it enetertaining to listen to an HIV/AIDS prevention song in ‘Tumesikia’ while you can nod to ‘Nyama’ on any slow day and laugh to it. The interchanging styles through the song and the Tim Ennovator Rimbui produced beats were and are still unique up to now.

07. 82- Just A Band

I guess if one of your albums songs gets the whole country to trend and sets the record of becoming the first viral video then the album deserves classic status. Well, Just a Band’s second album had more than just one riding factor. In this album the group moved from just making experimental Afro-Fusion music for a specific audience to music that could cut across all classes. They may not receive their deserved love but their 82’ album got them recognition and national attention as they set the ground for funky music that could resonate with the average rural person. From the record setting Ha-he to the danceable ‘Huff and Puff’ to the dreamy ‘Migingo Express’ every tune in this album is journey to music haven.

06. Yahweh- Esther Wahome

This is the album that set records in terms of sales breezing past the five hundred thousand mark as everyone was still understanding the new phenomenon that became a platinum selling album. As the album trended it was not uncommon to find five of its song on a chart list. The run our success hit was Kuna Dawa and it is still the definition of a successful cross over hit having moved from the church confines to become a huge club banger.

05. Mista Abbas-Abbas Kubaff

Abbas Kubaff has been one of the consistent artists in Kenya as far as regular album production is concerned. His two albums Angabanga and Mista Abbas are no doubt some of the best works the living legend has and while the former sure can make a case for inclusion, it is the latter that will always be a bona fide resident of any list compiled on the best albums. It is without a doubt his Magnus Opus of all currently existing works. From the hood anthem Kariobangi South, the soulful ‘Lala Salama’ to the surprisingly wisdom filled ‘Murume’, Abbas packs up so much tight lines and underlines his standing as the best word player around with puns and metaphors to match his bravado.

04. Exponential Album- Juliani

Each of Juliani’s album is an act of musical perfection. The lyrics well thought out, the whole album carrying a single idea with each song part of a story. Thus picking one from the three albums he has so far is pretty tricky especially between Mtaa Mentality and Exponential Poteial. However, Juliani’s third album has a greater crossover appeal than the first two. From the Utawala Anthem to the prayerful Jehova, the inspirational One Day, this was a classic as soon as it came out. There are no controversial songs just straight dope songs with the blend of inspiration, social conscious and worship.

03. Nimefika-E-sir

There is little that has not been said about this album or the artist who made it. If it is great to leave when at the top, no one will then ever top E-sir and his passing, talent, effort and passion have all contributed to taking this album to the stuff of legends. When E-sir announced Nimefika, no one doubted it and once the songs are done in the album, from the meditative Hamnitishi, the club banger Boomba train the silky Lyrical Tongue Twister through to the groovy MosMos, you know you have something special.  Nimefika is an album of pure quality that rocks anytime any place and it is the ultimate crossover album.

02. Kilio Cha Haki

When 38 of the best artists in the country got together to form an album, it turned out to be a 22 hit epic that hits hard than a migraine. The magic of the album is the easiness in which it draws you in but you have to replay each song since one listen is never enough. It is the essence of all the groups that defined street rap. Over a decade and this is probably the best Hip-Hop album you will ever here from the larger Eastern Africa region. The reality is stark, the stories real and told with such a skill it becomes a complete album and way ahead of its time then and by current standards, still far way. When you start from Fanya Tena and slowly make your way through the worldwide popular All Over The world through to Johny Boy’s sorrowful Mama We and the passion filled rap of a young Wenyeji Troupe down to the outro, this is an African Classic.

  1. Sawa Sawa- Eric Wainaina

It may not have won him the Kisima Awards that his second album did but it still remains one of the best selling albums in Kenya. Eric Wainaina first album is a work of inspiration, it takes you on a musical adventure from the radical and protest song Nchi ya Kitu Kidogo to the spell binding Kenya’s unofficial national anthem Daima and in between you get to have fun in the folk song adaptation ‘Ritwa Riaku’.

In another country the three albums woub be subjects of study and archived as treasures but this is Kenya so get your copy and enjoy the definition of Kenyan music.
